Humanity is messy.

About 3-4 hours into Humanity I was expecting to place it in my top 5 puzzle games of all time. It is just that good. So, why the negative review? All will be revealed.

The first third of Humanity is some of the best logic puzzle gameplay I have ever experienced. It is not extremely complicated, the rules are simple and understated, but the amount of puzzling scenarios it milks out of its simple premise is genuinely impressive. My mind was absolutely tied up into knots on some of the levels, and although nothing was so difficult I couldn't figure it out, it certainly gave me a run for my honor as a hardened puzzler.

The story in Humanity is abstract, and it does a lot with it. It has an interesting theme, it meshes very well with the gameplay, and it is decently written. In fact, the story is the entire reason I actually finished Humanity. Any less interesting and I would of dumped this game far before its conclusion.

The presentation is absolutely splendid as well. The cascades of humans marching look great, and the game isn't shy to show off. There are some great visual moments; even after the game takes a nosedive, it remains a treat to look at.

But, all good things must die, I presume.

About a third of the way through Humanity, the gameplay very abruptly and suddenly ceases everything built before to pivot to a different genre. The game goes from logic puzzler, to combat RTS. I am not joking. That is not a joke. That is really what happens. You go from carefully planning the path of your humans, trying to reach the exit through spatial problems. To Total War style real time manipulation. This isn't inherently a bad idea, switching genre in the middle of a game is a rather unexplored avant-garde bit of game design. But, the major problem with Humanity's attempt is that is doesn't go full mast. The controls remain the same, your lack of time manipulation tools remain the same, and an RTS is hastily smashed into a shape it has no business being in. Everything that worked smoothly about the game-flow prior no longer functions adequately, yet you are expected to continue forward ever marching, like the titular group of lemming-brained humans.

Around the final third of the game, the genre switches again into third person action adventure. Same issues occur, as the game structure built around the logic puzzles of the beginning are broken and reassembled into an inefficient mess. You navigate STEALTH SECTIONS. In this logic based puzzler. And it feels like ♥♥♥♥ and is ♥♥♥♥. For the first third you have this nagging thought in the back of your head... or at least I did, "Why is the primary control of this game a dog, this could very easily just be isometric and I could far more easily click on tiles to place commands. That is an odd choice." Well, this is why. This small toilet shaped piece of game design is there because the developers have a big piece of ♥♥♥♥ up their sleeve. Its monstrous.

The story ends adequately enough, nothing really to complain about, but it is so incredibly soured by the horrible experience of the final two thirds that its really hard to feel anything about it. As I mentioned earlier, I would of straight up dropped the game if not for the story, but it still feels unsatisfying to have my time wasted by the end of this rather long game.

Its just... so incredibly disappointing and I cannot for the life of me understand what they were thinking. I cannot communicate how much promise and potential the first few hours were brimming with... Had they just stuck with what was working, Humanity would be an extravagant piece of art.

En esencia, es un juego de acción-casual con cerebro: controlas el flujo de humanos como si fueras el director de tránsito de un apocalipsis minimalista, resolviendo rompecabezas a base de órdenes, rutas y timing.

La primera impresión es clara: esto no quiere ser “otro puzzle” más, quiere ser “el puzzle” con estética rara, vibra artística y esa sensación de estar jugando algo que se siente simple… hasta que te das cuenta de que llevas 20 minutos peleándote con una esquina.

Y como buen indie con ego saludable, te suelta editor de niveles, logros y compatibilidad con mando/RV, porque si vas a sufrir, al menos que sea con estilo y en la plataforma que te dé la gana.

HUMANITY es una idea simple ejecutada con ambición: mover masas, resolver rutas, optimizar decisiones y sentirte un genio… hasta que el nivel te humilla y te obliga a aceptar que el verdadero enemigo eras tú. Es acción-casual con cerebro indie, de esos que se disfrutan mucho más cuando te dejas llevar por su estilo y su ritmo.

Ahora, el chisme incómodo: con 1 jugador actual, esto se siente como un “clásico de culto en proceso” más que un fenómeno. Aun así, 460 recomendaciones totales sugieren que quien lo prueba, suele entender el punto y quedarse. No necesitas una multitud jugando al mismo tiempo para que un singleplayer valga la pena, pero sí necesitas paciencia para su propuesta.

Great game that uses the Lemmings formula but also does something unique by adding its philosophical, mystical setting and story. Especially the atmosphere with the minimalist art style, the great soundtrack, and the large number of people you see on the screen (I played it in non-VR) made it a truly special journey. Still, I think Humanity could have added more depth to the narrative about the glowing dog who leads the humans; that could have been cool.

Gameplay-wise, the puzzles are good, being neither too hard nor too easy. Levels that felt annoying were truly an exception. Also, this game understands that achieving 100% completion doesn't have to result in a long grind, which I enjoyed.

A truly awesome and special puzzle game that I won't easily forget and can absolutely recommend.

While largely less annoying than most video games, and with an excellent difficulty level (not trivial, but not too hard) on its puzzles, it's just not a game I would ultimately recommend anyone play. It didn't "tell me" anything I didn't "already know". However, the trailers, etc, are very good at showcasing this game, so you probably already know if you want to play it or not. Oh, also, the story is bad and they should have just removed it entirely so that the events of the game could play out wordlessly, which would be cool.

上から目線ですが、普通に関心する様な素晴らしい謎解きが有り、パズルが好きなら絶対におすすめします。

Chu Chu Rocket... but in 3-D, and with people instead of mice? I approve.

This game has a nice ambient electronic soundtrack. It's a pretty chill game. The stages / puzzles can be pretty good brain teasers - so you get a sense of accomplishment when you finally figure out how to beat a level and simultaneously achieve all its side objectives as well. However, some of the levels have the potential to get frustrating. (I haven't used any guides yet... so we'll see.)

A good way to kill some time and I like the aesthetic. Reminds me of games from my childhood like - Lemmings, Intelligence Qube, Chu Chu Rocket, and Kagero: the Deception.

Disappoint puzzle game:

The game introduces new rules, gimmicks and tools every few level, which is fine and all, but there is basically no depth to it.

There was no hard puzzle so far (dropped it in Act 5 "War"). the puzzles that took a while didn't take this long because they were difficult, but because they were grindy, figuring out the right timing or order. There are very few good puzzles in between (e.g. Trial 05-B "Reverse Course"), but most are hardly even puzzles.

I hoped for more of a puzzle game along the lines of A Monster's Exhibition, The Witness, Isles of Sea and Sky, Leap Year, Fez, The Talos Principle, Void Stranger, Sensorium, Magicube, Portal, Braid, Patrick's Parabox, Filament, Baba is You, Snakebird, A Good Snowman is Hard to Build, Loophole or Antichamber.

Overall, the presentation is top notch, but the main aspect, solving puzzles is just not satisfying. Cannot recommend.

ゲームシステムはレミングスやチューチューロケット!を発展させたようなゲーム。
音楽やビジュアル面で高い評価を受けつづけているエンハンスの作品なだけあって、リラックスできる雰囲気が魅力。
意外な展開もあり、最後まで楽しめました。

通常ステージは優しく、解法が自由なステージもあり全体的にストレスなくプレイできました。
寄り道ステージは少し難しくなっていて、収集要素のGOLDY集めや、いくつかのステージは特殊な実績もあるので簡単すぎるということも無かったです。

またパズルゲームは進めていくとギミックが増え複雑になりがちですが、
このゲームはセクションごとにテーマが決まっており、新ギミックの顔見せの簡単なステージも毎回用意してくれているのでシステムが頭に入りやすかったです。

I started my playthrough 2 years ago, and after stopping for a while (preoccupied with life + other games) I decided to pick it back up and finish the entire thing. If you're thinking of buying this game with the notion that it's purely a puzzle game, you're about halfway right.

The first half of the game is very reminiscent of Lemmings. Very charming presentation, though the music can admittedly be hit-or-miss. The puzzles are certainly interesting, and there were quite a few of them that felt extremely rewarding to solve.

The second half is where it starts to stray from the puzzles and turns into an action/stealth/platformer hybrid. For a lot of the levels here, you'll mainly be focusing on micromanagement instead of planning. For me personally I enjoyed both halves of the game, but it might not be for you if you just want to solve puzzles without having to worry about any additional mechanics.

It's a great pickup on sale (or at full price if you really need something to scratch that 'niche puzzle game' itch), and it should take you around 10-12 hours to beat if you're not looking to get all the achievements.

Fun little puzzle game that keeps reinventing itself. While I might not have loved each new iteration and have my favorite version of the puzzles, this reinvention keeps the game engaging and exciting. It also allows for some fun twists and turns that otherwise would not have been possible. There is one stand out moment in particular towards the second half of the game that would not be possible without the changes. That moment was definitely a favorite a well worth it. Apart from that the narrative is fun and well thought out.

《HUMANITY》是一款杂糅了“RTS”（即时战略）和解谜的奇怪游戏。

在购买这个游戏之前，本作最让我困惑的就是它的[b]类型[/b]。商店页面说本作结合了解谜（puzzle-solving）和“动作平台跳跃”（action-platforming），而IGN的评测还说本作有RTS的要素，貌似还能看到“BOSS战”，很难想象这些词能出现在同一个游戏里。没想到的是，在通关本作之后，最让我困惑的仍然是这个问题。

我本人对于“解谜游戏”的定义还是比较灵活的，最近我才写了一篇和解谜分类有关的文章，并倡导读者开放包容地看待解谜游戏。不过我还是觉得，要把本作称为“解谜游戏”，你可能真的需要以一种很“广义”的方式去理解才行。相比之下，我觉得本作更接近RTS，而对于这种类型我是真的没有什么经验，所以我很难作出合理的分析和判断。

在深入讨论之前，我必须先介绍清楚本作的具体玩法：

[h1]玩法[/h1]

在本作中，玩家需要操纵的主角是一只狗，但其实更重要的角色是“人类”（也就是标题）。玩家不能直接操纵人类，而是只能用主角在关卡中防止各种“指令”，通过指令来操纵不断从门中涌出的成群的人，比如“转弯”指令就是让所有碰到该指令的人类向某个方向转向。后续还会有“跳跃”、“漂浮”这样的指令。

如果以“解谜游戏”的刻板印象来看，这看上去就是一套经典的“先布置后执行”的核心机制，不过本作并没有强制“先布置后执行”这一点，而是能够在系统运行（人流移动）当中[b]随时[/b]改变场上的指令，并产生[b]即时[/b]的影响。只要你手速够快，你完全可以“微操”，把人群引导到不同的地方，而不是只能设置一条既定的路线。

现在你应该就能够看出为什么本作更接近RTS了：你可以把“人类”看成“士兵”，而玩家可以用一种间接的方式去控制和分配这些“士兵”的走向。

本作的前几章还是比较偏解谜的。第一章比较无聊，因为完全是单一的路径规划，除了关卡越来越像迷宫之外，没什么有意思的东西；第二章引入了可以推动的结构，本作的“推箱谜题”本身没有什么值得一说的，但是结合“推箱”和RTS的实时性，的确可以完成一些比较有意思的操作，“分兵”的操作也在这一章节中开始初现端倪；正当我以为本作会继续探索这些操作时，第三章反而引入了一个“禁止开始运行后改变指令”的机制，成了纯粹的“先布置后执行”解谜，这就感觉很奇怪，但反正我更喜欢传统解谜，这阶段的谜题设计也还是不错的；第四章引入了“敌人”，会[spoiler]抢走它们经过的收集物[/spoiler]，因此玩家需要用各种各样的方式来[spoiler]阻击敌人，或者和敌人竞速[/spoiler]，思考完成这些操作的方式同样也是“解谜”，我没什么意见。

但是从第五章开始，在我看来能算作“解谜”的成分就越来越少了。首先是第五章直接引入了“战斗”的成分，这下真成RTS了，但由于路线规划机制还和之前一样，所以也能算是一个操作方式不太常规的RTS，好不好玩不说，起码有新意；结果第六章引入了[spoiler]直接让一部分人群跟随主角[/spoiler]的机制，把这最后的新意给放在了一边不重要的位置上，让本作更加向RTS靠拢；第七章，本作的最后一章，引入的新机制也基本都是战斗相关。

可以说，本作到了后期几乎完全向“动作”倾斜，不仅包括RTS，还有“平台跳跃”、“潜行”、“塔防”等主题的关卡，结果什么游戏都可以是，唯独不是解谜，真有点让我哭笑不得。是，你可以说想战略也是一种“解谜”，但不得不说，这个部分的玩法已经和一开始相去甚远了。

[h1]评价标准——解谜[/h1]

如果用“解谜游戏”的标准来衡量这款游戏，那本作几乎所有设计都是在我的“雷区”里跳舞。

最大头的当属系统的[b]连续性[/b]。首先，系统一直在时间轴上连续地向前运行，没有“撤回”，具有时间上的连续性。而在空间上，虽然所有操作都是在横平竖直的网格里进行的，但最关键的关卡要素“人群”在逻辑上并不是我想象的那样，是一条连接若干格子的“线”，而是真的按人头一个个模拟的。当很多人堆在一起时，他们之间会产生挤压、碰撞，甚至会把一些人挤到别的格里。除此之外，跳跃操作的轨迹为连续的抛物线，有时很难预测落点，如果加上能让人“变轻”的“漂浮”指令，影响就更加难以预测了，基本只能靠试，而尝试的成本有时就是一次重开。

本来就已经挺难预测的了，更别说引入“战斗”机制之后的混乱场面了，进行准确计算几乎不可能。就算本作并不要求准确计算，我觉得像是跳跃轨迹这种至关重要的信息，显示一下总不会少块肉吧。

第二个就是本作频繁引入全新机制的趋势，到后来甚至可以一关一个“玩法”。如果只是引入新机制，那么玩家最多会觉得每种机制探索得不够深入，但本作可是确确实实地切换了核心玩法，这又是完全不一样的事情了。

本作的游戏体验设计也有一些比较迷惑的地方。某些功能需要收集一定数量的收集物后才能解锁，比如“重开且保留所有指令”，甚至就连“看到每个开关对应的机关效果”这种都需要解锁。虽然解锁新关卡也需要收集足够数量，而一般来说，你能解锁前几章，就能解锁所有的UI功能，但我觉得还是可以一开始就把这些功能放出来。而像是“撤回”这样的操作，则更是如之前所说，直接没有。也就是因为这样，本作在“执行”层面上从头到尾都比较繁琐，无论要执行、验证什么事情都很慢、很麻烦，即使有“快进”也是杯水车薪。

不过这些都没有办法代表谜题设计的真实水平，如果最终谜题设计优秀，那么这些都不是问题。而本作的谜题设计嘛，我觉得虽然第二到四章确实借助RTS机制设计出了一些有意思的谜题，但这种恰到好处的结合还是有点少了，而后续章节又一直在引入更多纯“动作”的机制，把“解谜”这回事不知道抛到哪里去了。就算有那么一点融合，也并没有很有意思的高层思路，而之前我已经提到过解谜的底层执行很繁琐了，合起来算是一点好都没沾上。

所以总的来说，如果以解谜游戏的标准来衡量本作，我[b]很难会主动推荐[/b]这个游戏。

[h1]评价标准——糅合[/h1]

想要评价这种糅合型游戏，真是一件很困难的事情，感觉不管在哪个单独类型的视角下进行评价，都有失偏颇。虽然当成解谜游戏可能不行，但如果你就把本作当成RTS，那本作加入的那么些个“解谜”要素说不定就是创意，这我就不好说了，因为我不是RTS玩家。

不过在某一个方面上，我觉得不管是什么样的玩家都会有相同的追求。其实是一个很简单的道理：如果我一开始就知道本作是一款“玩法糅合”的游戏，那我[b]为什么不去单独体验更好的解谜或者更好的RTS，而来体验这样一个“大杂烩”？[/b]

虽然我觉得这样的逻辑不太妥当，因为从本质上就是拿短板拼别人的长板，但是又不得不承认，这不是一个讽刺性的反问，而是本作这样的“玩法糅合”游戏所必须面对的一个真实问题。这个问题的答案也显而易见：玩家想看的当然是[b]你在单个玩法之外还设计出了什么东西[/b]，无论通过什么手段。比如《[url=https://store.steampowered.com/app/510420/The_Hex/]六角疑云[/url]》里就有六个不同玩法，设计师Daniel Mullins除了用Meta叙事将它们联系起来之外，还在一些玩法之间设计了意料之外的机制上的联系，比如[spoiler]在回合制战斗中“打拳”[/spoiler]的一个桥段就比较有趣（最惊艳的我当然不会在这剧透）。

那么以“多个玩法之间的有趣结合”为量标，本作又做得怎么样呢？我感觉在第三章前，本作主要还是解谜和规划，而从第六章往后，本作的动作成分又明显压过了解谜和规划，所以只有在中间两章（四、五），解谜和“动作”处于一个比较平衡的状态。有新意，但也不多，因为每当出现一些比较有意思的设计，本作就会立马转移走，探索其它的新机制。

我承认，本作用同一套机制设计出玩法和目标截然不同的关卡，这还是有想法的，但也仅限于技术上的认同。因为还是和本段开头说的一样，我想看的是你实现的不同玩法的结合，而不是你变着花样去实现这些单个的玩法。讲句极端的，用游戏引擎肯定也能做到用一套“系统”实现这些玩法，但你听过有人说游戏引擎本身“好玩”吗？

当然，如果你认为本作就想要像《Minecraft》这种游戏一样，成为一款以社区为中心的“引擎”游戏，我觉得也可以说得过去，毕竟[b]社区支持[/b]也是本作设计中很重要的一环。直到最近，开发者也还在举行社区关卡设计大赛，而且也有人参加，虽然感觉参加人数只有两三位数。不过真的要拼“可扩展性”，我不认为在不支持显式编程制作Mod的情况下，本作和其它“引擎”游戏有任何的可比性，注意是“没有可比性”，而不是“在比较之下不如”。

总的来说，我实在是不想给出一个绝对的结论。如果你想要的是一款规规矩矩的解谜游戏，那么本作不会满足你的愿望，而我已经尽力想到了多个评价标准，但无论如何我都感觉本作处于一个比较尴尬的位置。但我也不否认，可能在某种我没有想到的评价标准下，本作确实存在自己的价值。

如果你心态特别开放，试一试也无妨。

Die erste Hälfte hat man ein Spiel das an Lemminge erinnert. Danach kommen dann weitere "Kampf"-Elemente hinzu, was teilweise an Tower Defense bzw. Pikmin/Overlord erinnert. Die Level sind vom Schwierigkeitsgrad leicht bis mittel. Richtig knackige Rätsel kommen eher nicht vor. Selbst die optionalen "Goldies" sind problemlos bis auf ein, zwei Außnahmen einsammelbar.
Ursprünglich hatte ich es mir wegen der VR Unterstützung geholt. Die finde ich allerdings nicht so gut, da aufgrund der Kamera die Übersicht im VR Modus fehlt.
Dennoch bekommt man ein schönes Rätselspiel für zwischendurch

But for some reason through out the middle of the game it becomes a tedious micromanagement game, where logic and planning is no longer in the focus but tediously micromanaging of the people that follow you. The game is not bad, but the second half is not what I expected from this game in a bad way. If you are looking for a calm puzzle game this might not be the right game.

もともとパズルが好きでずっと気になっていたゲームでしたがしっかり実績コンプリートまで楽しめました。

ステージごとにルールが追加・変化する形で飽きがこない構成で難易度的にも適度というところでしょうか。
コミュニティ作成のステージもありそちらでも長く楽しめそうです。

いくつか高難易度のコミュニティステージもやりましたがundoが無い本作はミスすると最初からのため
試行錯誤が出来ないので中々プレイしていて辛いところはあります。
通常ステージ程度では気になりませんでしたがチェックポイントみたいなのがほしいところです

I thought this was a VR game When i bought it. You can move your head around a bit but other than that, its more of a flat screen game that you play on your vr headset. I kept having great difficulty choosing which direction the arrows were facing. I played a few levels and didnt really see myself enjoying this puzzle game where half the mental frustration comes from controlling the dog

I someday hope to have the optimism of the person who offered the soundtrack as a separate paid download - boy is it a stinker (1st game I've ever played with SFX only)

As for the game itself - I was hesitant to buy as some reviews cited difficulty spikes and last 1/3 of the game being a different flavour. For me this added to the experience and the game def filled the empty void in my heart once occupied by Lemmings.

It's a strange beast for sure. A puzzle game with some timing elements that end up slowly becomes more and more of just a straight up action game, taking a brief section as basically an RTS near the middle.
Lovely presentiation, unique music and soundscape that gets stuck in my head but not necessarily in a good way. Took me about 12 hours to beat the story mode and collect all the optional "goldies". There are also some more intensive steam achievements available that i'm not sure i'll go back for.
There are of course alot more hours that are possible in the game, with user made levels and the afforementioned challenges, but i don't personally feel like spending more time with the game.

Pretty good, can recommend on sale, probably not worth it for the full price unless you are really into the premise and what other reviews have said.

结合了部分动作游戏要素的解谜游戏。初印象很像推箱子（？），玩家作为一只灵魂犬规划路径带领人流走向终点。实际玩下来难度循序渐进而且关卡的元素结合的很好，追求金人收集的话某些关卡十分有挑战性。后期出现OTHERS、武器和跟随功能后动作游戏元素比重大幅上升。游戏操作和设置方面，手感不算太好（毕竟是三维上帝视角，主角狗显得十分小），加速模式有些鸡肋（加速后人流还是走得很慢），没有后撤或倒回功能，再加上某些关卡操作繁琐，导致常常出现布局了三四分钟因为操作失误而重开的情况。好在有两种暂停以及保留指令重开的功能，也算是弥补了一些。另外没有中文有些减分（虽然解谜游戏的文本量不大）。总的来说，是一部有一定难度但趣味性十足的解谜游戏。

I wish Steam had a middle ground between a positive and a negative review.

Humanity’s beginning is great – similar to good old Lemmings, we guide people to the level’s exit, while slowly unlocking new commands and new mechanics. By the end of sequence 2, we can tell people to turn, to do different kinds of jumps, guide them to push blocks, and so on.

Then we reach the middle of the game, and two things happen: Humanity takes a dive towards combat, which is weird but ok; and we get multiple levels in which we are given one or two commands only (most often just the “Turn” command). The game keeps introducing new mechanics, sure, but instead of giving us more options, feels like it gives us less.

And finally we get to the end of the game, where it falls apart. We are given the “Follow” command, that makes people follow the character we control; and so Humanity goes from being a puzzle-like game to an action-adventure one, in which planning is secondary to execution. From then on, on most levels we have only the “Follow” command, and, as we make our followers dodge enemy fire, pass through stealth sections and engage in boss fights, it’s hard not to think that this was not the best direction the game could have gone into.

Unfortunately, I cannot recommend Humanity. It had a lot of potential, but squandered it by going far away from it’s Lemmings-like structure.

パズルゲームと銘打ってはいるものの後半からはパズル、、？のような感じなっていくので注意
ただあくまでパズルから少し離れてるのみで面白さは損なわれていないのでパズルだけしかやりたいくない！という人以外なら問題はないと思う。

作品の質自体はどこの要素をとっても満足のいく内容だった。

If you've ever played Lemmings, then that will probably be the first game you think of when playing HUMANITY because you're using a cute little dog to bark commands at hordes of people pouring out of a door.

However, you'll find as you progress that the game has its own twists and turns. Sometimes it feels like a small squad stealth game and other times it turns into a more strategic auto battler. Each chapter has its own flavor to it.

At first I thought the game was really easy but it gets a lot more challenging as you progress. There were a few levels where I had to look up a solution in order to get all of the Goldy figures. What's interesting is that this game doesn't necessarily have a linear difficulty curve. I found the later chapters to be easier to figure out while I got stuck on some of the middle ones more often. The difficulty depends a lot on what your strengths are as a puzzle solver.

Not only does game's story mode offer a lot of puzzle variety, but users can also design their own puzzles, which means you can get a lot of mileage out of this game. I didn't try any of these user-created levels, but I will when I feel like playing this again.

I didn't find much to complain about with this game, but sometimes the camera can be irritating, especially if you're dog is in a tunnel. You can move the camera around to see the entire level before you start, but that doesn't always provide you with enough information. Most of the time it's a matter of trial and error.

This is one of the better puzzle games I've played on Steam, and it's nice to be able to experience Lemmings-style mechanics again since I haven't played that game in ages.

I picked this game up because it looked absurd. A goofy little puzzle game where you're a glowing dog and you guide endless crowds of wobbly ragdoll people. So I was a little shocked at how much I was engaged in the story, an element I thought was going to be the minimum framework to justify the weird puzzle solving scenarios. Instead I was absolutely hooked by the end of the first chapter, thoroughly enjoying every stage of the story and the puzzles along the way. And while there's plenty more to do via workshop creations I was still sad to see that story end, though satisifed with how it ended too.

As far as the puzzles go, I was also shocked at the sheer variety of puzzles the game would come up with from the simple concept it starts on. That's easily the second aspect that got me hooked too, as there was always a new tool or puzzle element around every corner to add to your experience right after you got used to the previous ones. In some way, when the puzzle complexity really peaks, I'd almost say this game overlaps a bit with factory games like Satisfactory and Factorio. For many puzzles, you are configuring a series of events, commands and changes that often starts with an endless supply of people walking out of a source point. And you can modify those things in real-time as the endless swarm of people tries to progress, but there's a similar satisfaction to seeing the completed chain of events that leads them from their origin to the puzzle's goal, not unlike setting up a chain of resource harvesters, refiners and manufacturing machines and watching a piece of raw ore ultimately end up as part of a complex device.

And topping it all off was the music, how it set the mood for every stage of the story. Another element that surprised me with how much effort was put into it. I'll have that main theme stuck in my head for forever. This is a game I'll definitely return to every so often to try and "experience for the first time" again.

Humanity is a Lemmings-like puzzler with some platforming, stealth and auto-battler elements. It is quirky and unique with this blend of genres.
Main puzzles are pretty easy, but not insultingly so, while reaching optional goals are a bit more challenging. The campaign is fairly long for a puzzle game and there is an in-game level editor, if you want more after finishing it.

Minimalistic visuals look and perform well in VR. It is very impressive, how many humans can be on screen at the same time.

Ive only had it for 2 days and im really having fun, and its a puzzle game that actually does not stress you out cause theres a solution video.

Very fun puzzle game with some great visual flair and engaging mechanics.

The game slowly evolves over its course - while it starts off as only a direction-setting puzzle game as generally seen in the trailers, it slowly changes and eventually goes on to add some very different mechanics and elements. This could disappoint some who are really into the idea of the exact game as seen in the trailer, and some of the added mechanics have gently frustrating aspects, but I enjoyed how it kept me on my toes as the game developed and played into the storytelling.

This game is super fun, I love the concept and the trials are really engaging! I tried it on VR and I am a little disappointed at the integration. I wish that instead of moving the dog around, you just use your hands and place the commands -- it would make for a better feeling experience. Other than that, phenomenal game, I would definitely urge friends to play it. Its absurd concept of flinging humans through the air via command of a glowing orb makes it a real head-turner whenever I mention it.

I jumped into Humanity thinking I was getting into a puzzle game. Sometimes it was. Sometimes it wasn't.

The game piqued my interest at the start, then went so tedious that I almost dropped it, and by the end I was playing all the ending sequences in just one session thinking "this is a masterpiece".

While I don't like how so many puzzles rely on execution and timing more than on planning, this is one of those games where the final result is more than the sum of its parts. I think this is just a me/marketing problem of going into this game thinking it was a pure puzzle game when it's a Weird™ game.

And boy do I like weird games.
