Our story starts as the citizens of the Kingdom of Glory celebrate their victory over the Dark Church. While in the catacombs of their former enemies, their revelry is disturbed by a sudden all-encompassing fog. The citizens wrapped by the fog disappear screaming into nothing. Those that remain alive after the strange attack, barricade themselves in the depths of the catacombs. As time passes, food becomes scarce and the people of the Kingdom of Glory begin to realize that they might all meet their demise. The ‘heroic’ Knights of Glory, shady mercenaries and the arrogant high elves band together into guilds in order to survive and escape the dank catacombs. Unfortunately, the guilds are far too concerned with their distaste for each other and are oblivious to the awakening of dark forces in the dungeons below…

The first one was silly enough where I played the second.
I enjoyed the silliness of the first game and felt enough attachment to the characters by the end where I thought the second game might be interesting. I wasn't going to play it, but I ended up changing my mind. It had a little more drag to it than the first game where I was just trying to move along the story, but it was similar to the first game in terms of the quality.
The Positives:
-The game does expand from the first in terms of parody. The first one parodied tactics games, whereas this one seems to be more reminiscent of broader types of RPGs (has similarities to Baldur's Gate and other RPGs).
-It gave you enough different things to do where it stood out from the first game as well as other games of the genre (because of its silliness).
-As with the first game, there are enough interesting things going on with the characters and plot to stay engaged, and it isn't too long.
The Negatives:
-This felt a little more like it dragged than the first game, mainly when it required you to do a bunch of fetch-quest-like (back-and-forth) activities. I actually missed an achievement and decided that it wasn't worth replaying to get it (since I saved over the save that I could've gone back to for it).
-I liked the fact that it broadened out the RPG parody, but it also suffered from some of the issues with the games that it is parodying.
-Unlike the first game where the silliness was memorable and the build to the climax is fondly remembered, I don't recall much about what happened in this game in the years since I played it—I only recall missing the one achievement and not wanting to go back because there were a lot of back-and-forth quests that I didn't want to replay.
Overall, it's okay. You have to like silliness and probably have to play or like tactics games to enjoy the contrast from the prototypical one. It wasn't a bad game or a great game. It was a good way to spend time between other genres or between series tactics games. It's short, which is good, so it won't be a slog. It'll hold your attention for as long as you need to play it with only one really slow point in the game.
This is a cool game. The downside is it has glitches and we never got a patch. The camera is also troublesome, but playable. Still, you can try to bypass most glitches by reloading, even in the middle of a fight.
I liked the new visuals a lot, but this one is way too cryptic, you better speak to everyone and pay atention not to get stuck, the camera is also pretty bad, you can make it follow your character or let it loose, but in battles if you let it loose it doesn't know what to focus on, so you have to manually aim it.
But still, if you liked the first one, you'll probrably like this one too, they even have voice acting now, and they are pretty good mostly, and even a skill tree for you to build your character.

Mocking D&D is relatively fun, gameplay is still just OK and interface and camera are your enemies along with running around after fetch quests to get more fetch quests, which while is part of the "haha lets make fun of rpgs" gets overplayed at times
If you are looking for a C grade game, have some patience and like the simple humor, then drink a beer or five and it will be quite enjoyable

D un graphismes ameliore par rapport au premier ca reste jouable quand meme mais c est du convenu comme dans chaque style de jeu : des missions aller au point A ,recuperer l objet B , revenir au point A...Bref on s y ennuit assez rapidement surtout de le debut : on sait pas quoi faire trop d information a la fois et c est surtout assez confus (alors je vous dit pas le niveau en anglais) bref un jeu assez moyen a reserver aux fanas des JDR....

Co prawda rozgrywka w tej części nie odbiega od tego co prezentowała jej poprzedniczka - Grotesque Tactics Evil Heroes. To w dalszym ciągu klasycznie uformowana taktyczno-turowa zabawa skupiona na walce ze zróżnicowanymi przeciwnikami pojawiającymi się na waszej drodze, szukaniu drogocennych skarbów bądź rozwijaniu postaci w czasie wykonywania poszczególnych misji głównych, pobocznych rozwijających stopniowo wątek fabularny.
Gracz wykonując poszczególne zadania (misje), walcząc z wrogimi przeciwnikami będzie otrzymywać doświadczenie pozwalające mu z czasem ulepszyć poszczególne wskaźniki charakteryzujące daną postać w grupie (jak siła, obrona itp.) oraz wyposażyć ją w nowy zdobyczny ekwipunek.
To klasyczna zabawa w bardzo klasycznym stylu, dlatego też być może będzie mało ekscytująca dla młodszego grona odbiorców – wychowanych na bardziej rozbudowanych produkcjach. Pod względem technicznym nie wyróżnia się znacząco od innych gier z tego uniwersum. Jednakże oprawa graficzna została ulepszona, porzuciła dawną kreskówkową otoczkę na rzecz bardziej mroczniejszego klimatu. System kontroli postaci jest w dalszym ciągu ciut za oporny, ale da się do tego z czasem przywyknąć. Ciętego humoru jest masa co pozwoli wybudzić gracza z monotonności powstałej z wykonywania poszczególnych obszarowych czynności – nie zrozumcie mnie źle to przyjemny tytuł, ale wielce ekscytujących growych-fajerwerków w niej niestety brak.

Какие-то обещания в Grotesque Tactics 2: Dungeons & Donuts, конечно, выполнены. Игра выросла в размерах, а сюжет стал чуть интереснее. Чтобы найти выход из катакомб, где не по своей воле оказалась заперта куча народу, приходится взаимодействовать с массой персонажей и даже фракций, в которые объединились эльфы, наемники и девственницы из фан-клуба одного самовлюбленного паладина. Работая на них, параллельно нужно собрать и основать собственную гильдию.
This seems to be the only out of the trilogy that is playable.. quite sad really as the humour seems top class and has a few funny references but I would say the only negative is its a bit too dark thats all.

Baldurs Gate co se nebere vážně. Vlastně nic bych tu nebral jinak, než s humorem. Za mě doporučuji, hra dokáže slušně pobavit i rozesmát. :o) Slušela by ji čeština, ale dá se to.
I liked it. I had played its prequel so I was looking forward to playing this part too. Enjoyed it even more especially because of the voice acting.

It looks better than the previous one, but still ugly and dialogue became even more boring. It is again cheap as the first one, but don't be fooled by this. There is nothing of value here.

[b]I have love-hate relationship with Grotesque Tactics 2.[/b] I had many laughs while playing but most likely I'll forgot this game and never come back to it.
It's not a bad game. It just a bit annoying in some parts. Like moving around. I mean it's normal to fight in a grid but why our character is still locked in them outside the battle? That makes Drake to do all kind of glithy stuff when running around. Getting used to controls take too long couse of that.
The story in here are a mess too. It exist couse it does. It's only an excuse to make a parody. Though I enjoyed it I cannot do anything about that dissapointing ending. I ecpected something funny at least but what I got was just.... nothing.
This games old so I don't know if it's game's or system's foult that the game crashed 2 times. It closed completly after 3h+ playing in one go.

I can't really figure out why this game got such bad reviews! I've been play RPG games for a long time and found this one to be highly entertaining! I've been a fan of the turn based style games forever and found this to be a hidden gem! Runs good even on my older and antiquated laptop and have found myself unexpectedly looking forward to playing again when I'm not!
Seeing that its been more than a decade, it is improbable that any more Grotesque game will come out. Their are few cons though that I would like to mention which makes the sequel as per my opinion , somewhat inferior than the First grotesque. Yes, this time you are all left alone. A map was never the part of the series as the game plot is quite short, so that was allright. However, in a non-liner game where in you have to move back and forth having only little-bitty knowledge of which area lies your underlying objective, is a bit annoying during gameplay. The game time could have shrunk to half the time I actually spent on this just because at one point, you will have no sense of right direction and right approach of the pathway to follow. The story just doesn't end here, the NPCs especially the story or game content creator was quite cunning in design. The NPCs will make you boil your blood at some points. Just to get the password for a door, maybe information about someone dearly you want to find in the game and even general materials you often require, like potions(Health, regeneration, anti-poison, mana), all of them comes at a heavy cost, and sadly, you don't find a lot of gold in the game so easily. That said, be prepared to sell everything you have (Literally, ,my player went naked as he had to sell clothes in order to get gold in exchange the view of which made me laugh like the "Background audience laughter of Mr. Bean. LMAO"). In a nutshell, you should be really careful in managing your gold that tests your combat skills too so that you end up over using your potions that comes at a huge cost from the NPCs merchants (Sorry, no discounts here).
That being said, and apart from heavy deviation from the first grotesque from linear to non-linear, it lived up to the mark and remained frisk in providing those cheesy yet absurdly funny moments and dialogues between characters. Graphics were same as before and well, of course , it comes with a story that will affix a spot n your heart perpetually. So, anyone who wants to laugh, an RPG lover should try this game , BUT FIRST, DO NOT straightaway jump to grotesque tactics 2 - Start from the first game. This is the story and a game best enjoyed if you follow the order in which it appeared.

Zaskakujący przeskok po poprzedniej części, przynajmniej na pierwszy rzut oka. Grafika poszła do góry... przynajmniej jeśli nie przyglądasz się za mocno animacjom chodzenia. Wspominając o chodzeniu - wyszukiwanie ścieżek jest jeszcze bardziej kulawe. Technicznie gra mocno niedomaga, częste przywieszanie postaci w trakcie walki, problemy z podnoszeniem lootu... Na szczęście ukończenie jej jest wykonalne.
Tym co mnie pozytywnie zaskoczyło był pełny voice-acing, włącznie z postaciami pobocznymi. Wcale niezły voice acting dodam, słuchało się tego z przyjemnością.
Specyficzny humorek poprzedniej części został zachowany, mam jednak wrażenie, że autorzy poszli nieco mocniej w mroczny humor, parę razy wybiło mnie to z rytmu tym jak nagle się pojawiło. O fabule nie ma co za dużo mówić, gra sama śmieje się z tego aspektu.
Walka nieco różni się od tej z części pierwszej i dopiero po około połowie gry zorientowałam się, że aby podejrzeć nowe umiejętności i je odblokować należy wydać punkty na drzewku - z opisu spodziewałam się, że wpadają z poziomami samoczynnie.
Ogólnie dałabym 3/5, można pograć zwłaszcza jeśli dostaniecie za darmo. Szkoda tylko, że nie jest stabilniejsza i bardziej dopracowana.

Fun parody of RPGs with amusing lines and fights. Tactics were not as good as in the first part where using the Obsession meters to your advantage was necessary to win the fights by having the enemies trigger your best moves, whereas here it only unlocks another ultimate move I found myself saving for the next and then the next and the next fight.
Unfortunately a bit buggy from time to time but usually nothing a good quickload or restart of the game won't fix, just save often, the Quicksave is a blessing for your nerves.
Overall well worth the buy in my opinion.

Nachdem schon der erste Teil wegen der dauernden Abstürze nicht durchspielbar war, habe ich hier beim 2. Teil das Schlimmste erwartet. Was soll ich sagen, ich habe es geschafft - durchgespielt und insgesamt ist das Spiel nur 2x abgestürzt. Allerdings wollte das Spiel bei mir jedesmal bei Spielstart einen Absturzbericht senden. Das kann man sich aber sparen, da schon beim ersten Teil nie nachgebessert wurde.
Schon beim Spielstart wird klar, daß hier die Verbindung zum ersten Teil fehlt bzw. sehr vernachlässigt wurde. Dazu kommt eine grottenschlechte Wegfindung, die bewirkt, daß Drake an einer Figur der Gruppe nicht vorbei kommt. Mit speichern und neu laden läßt sich dieses Problem zwar meistens lösen, es stört aber den Spielfluß erheblich. Leider führt diese dumme Wegfindung auch bei Kämpfen, denn oft sind einzelne Mitglieder der Gruppe noch sehr weit vom Geschehen entfernt, wenn ein Kampf beginnt, und sind somit für 2 - 3 Runden erstmal raus. Besonders Sweet Violence ist so langsam unterwegs, ihr muß man dringend mit Gegenständen helfen, die ihre Bewegung verbessern. Außerdem nervt es, daß die Drehung der Kamera oft nicht oder nur im Schneckentempo funktioniert, außerdem bleibt sie gerne an höheren Objekten hängen. Scrollen nach links, rechts und oben funktioniert, aber nach unten gar nicht. Das ist mangelhaft und so nicht akzeptabel, da es den Spielablauf teilweise sehr stark beeinträchtigt. Ich hatte wie schon beim ersten Teil das Gefühl, daß die unbezahlten Praktikanten das Spiel programmiert haben. Technisch gesehen ist es absoluter Murks.
Was das Spiel noch einigermaßen rettet, sind die teilweise überraschenden Wendungen. Ehemalige Feinde werden zu Freunden, manche wieder zu Feinden. Wenn man wie ich den Humor mag, bleibt trotz aller technischer Mängel doch der Reiz, das Spiel komplett durch zu spielen. Der Wiederspielwert ist danach allerdings sehr gering, da es sehr geradlinig ist und die Spielzeit doch recht kurz. Sie wird durch die technischen Mängel allerdings verlängert, und wer wie ich gemütlich alles ansehen und erkunden möchte, der braucht ca. 15 - 20 Stunden für das komplette Spiel.
Man merkt dem Spiel an, daß es mit wenig Liebe zu einer guten Story und technisch schlampig dahin gepfuscht wurde. Ein fähiges Entwicklerteam hätte viel mehr aus der Thematik heraus gekitzelt und es wäre ein technisch einwandfreies Spiel dabei heraus gekommen. So ist es ein billiges Möchtegern-RPG ohne großen Anspruch, für das man nicht mehr als 5 € ausgeben sollte.
Der größte Lichtblick des Spiels ist, daß das Großmaul Holy Avatar die meiste Zeit nicht dabei ist und man hauptsächlich mit Drake und seiner eigenen Gilde spielt. Auch die gelegentlichen Streitereien zwischen Engel Angelina und der Untoten Kriegerin Sweet Violence retten das Spiel davor, daß ich "Finger weg" sage. So sage ich, man kann´s für 5 € riskieren, sich dieses Spiel zu kaufen, solange man kein "seriöses" RPG erwartet. Empfehlen kann ich das Spiel aufgrund der vielen Mängel allerdings nicht.

This is a tactical turn-based RPG which is the sequel to Grotesque Tactics - Evil Heroes. While the game features the same brand of satire parodying the RPG genre and the graphics have been dramatically improved, unfortunately the gameplay has deteriorated compared to the first game due to a number of terribly implemented mechanics and bugs.
The story picks up from the end of the first game with the protagonist Drake suffering from hero's amnesia, and he embarks on a quest to form a guild and escape the underground ruins he has found himself in. The dialogue is full of humor and videogame references, and RPG veterans will have fun recognizing all the tropes and character parodies from other games.
Unlike the concise linear storyline in the first game, this game tries to have more open quest progression with multiple faction questlines, but all this does is make the game more confusing and tedious. The open-ended progression is an illusion, you're still ultimately required to complete all the faction quests to proceed with the game. The ingame quest log is terrible, vague and doesn't properly update quests with multiple steps and there is no objective marker which is a huge problem as the game doesn't keep track of quest giver NPC locations so you'll have to remember them manually or run around talking to everyone until you find the correct one. This is a huge problem early in the game when you go around collecting quests from everyone in the Sanctuary (which acts like a town hub) and you end up spending more time trying to find the correct NPC to progress the questline rather than actually fighting or exploring dungeons. Due to the open-ended nature of the game, oftentimes it will appear as if you're stuck but in reality, there's one obscure NPC that you didn't talk to. Several quests also appear to be bugged and do not correctly update in the quest log upon completion of certain steps.
Pathing is extremely terrible which is a new problem that wasn't in the first game. This game added collision detection which unfortunately causes the main character Drake to frequently get stuck while running past other NPCs and party members. It is extemely annoying when this happens because the only way to solve it is to click around to try to unstuck Drake or reload a save.
Combat is much worse in this game. The obsession system in the first game has been removed and most of the skills have been severely nerfed in damage and range. There is now a talent tree system but all this does is make your party's development slower as new skills can only be learnt by investing a ton of skill points, unlike the first game where new skills are learnt automatically at specific levels. Exp rate is drastically reduced in this game so it'll take a long time to level up and gain skill points. Additionally, your party is much smaller in this game, down to 6 party members from the original 10 in the first game. Enemies will greatly outnumber your party from the beginning of the game, and they are severely overtuned even on Easy difficulty, which makes battles a chore.
The insane enemy stats is a huge problem especially on escort quests. The NPC you're supposed to protect will often run ahead of you and tackle a huge mob of enemies by themselves, and end up getting killed before you can even reach them. Failing an escort quest results in a game over, and they are near impossible to complete.
Luckily, this game does have oldschool cheats. Check the Gamefaqs cheats section for more information. Escort quests can be completed with the help of the "kill" cheat which lets you automatically kill any enemy on the map, effectively letting you protect the NPC you're having trouble keeping up with. While this may sound controversial to some players, it was the only method I found that allowed me to progress with the game.
The graphics are the only aspect of the game that has improved. Character models are well-detailed and look good for a game that came out in 2011. The game supports 1920 x 1080 native resolution at 144Hz, which I appreciated. All the female characters are gorgeous, have massive breasts and are appropriately dressed in skimpy fantasy clothing. ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) In addition, you can zoom in with the camera to admire the female characters' cleavage and sexy outfits showing lots of skin. ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) There is a decent amount of sexual innuendo, and the pervert goblin Rukel from the first game makes an appearance here with a quest for Drake to steal one of the half-naked maiden's underwear for him to sniff. ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
Due to the many bugs and worse gameplay, I recommend buying this game on sale. The sexy female characters are definitely worth checking the game out; after all, games with women who are actually attractive, well-endowed and feminine are few and far between these days. The game is mostly playable if you use cheats to get past the bug-ridden quests and imbalanced enemies.
It's an ok rpg game with very good writing behind it.
too bad they didn't improve it too much from the first one. also, the character art style changed significantly (for the worse imho) from cartoonish to realistic but kind of gross.

I wouldn't recommend this game to someone who doesn't play RPG/dnd games, because he wouldn't get the jokes, or does expect some complicated experience like Diablo, because this game doesn't have that goal.
I bought this game some time ago, but now I started to enjoy it really after I played several isometric games so I know what to do and I can just relax and enjoy this really good satire and parody with some good voiceacting reminding me of Futurama, in those dark virus times.
I recommend to play this game on the easy setting as always with small games which doesn't focus on combat, to avoid any kind of frustration, and it makes the turnbased combat quite fast. The skill tree is quite basic but with enough of different skills, graphics are ordinary, what will keep you playing are the juicy comments with quite good voiceacting during your dungeon crawling.
And also there is something unexpected - because it is written based on RPG experience there are RPG cliche characters rewritten to be quite unique and the most bizzare so I wasn't bored with generic NPCs, also all the quests you would expect in classic RPG are there, but rewritten into funny experiences. Also all the progressions from RPG games like better and visually different armors are there in a grotesque funny way, which makes this game much better RPG than a lot of games released later. Man, they do even have factions with reputations!
So finding such a jewell in nowadays lack of RPGs games or lacking features typical around the year 2011 was such a blast to play.
I didn't face many bugs only with pathing mainly during combat, where the moves didn't load properly sometimes, but the quicksafe and quickreload fixed it, so I didn't have to restart the fight completely. Also it is better to set resolution before loading the game because it was a bit glitchy to set it up later. And I'm just glad it runs on Windows 10.
Das Spiel ist nicht zu empfehlen. Die Dialoge sind witzig, mit allerlei Anspielungen auf andere Titel. Das ist aber auch alles. Das hat mich gestört:
- keine ingame-Map, keine Minimap - ist das zu viel verlangt?
- Questlog: Es ist nicht klar, welche Quests begonnen werden können. Erledigte Quests werden nicht entfernt oder markiert!?
- Quest-Areale lassen sich nicht verlassen, bis das Questziel erreicht wurde und danach nicht wieder betreten. Was soll das denn!?
- Steuerung/Bewegung: Charaktere bewegen sich nicht glaubwürdig und dann noch die Kollisionen...
- Inventar und andere Menüs lieblos gestaltet und schlecht zu bedienen. Hotbar mit 2 Plätzen?
- Ingame-Menü für HD-Auflösung ungeeignet/zu klein und insgesamt eine Zumutung. Wozu ein Sprachregler, wenn nur englisch geht!?
- Partymitglieder lassen sich für den Kampf nicht positionieren
- Klasse des hauptcharakters ist festgelegt
Turn based adventure game, pretty good but there are things that annoy me like the camera moving by itself sometimes, and when entering battle your allies run far away from where your fighting and its annoying to get them back to where you are. Also Drake (the main character) getting stuck in places sometimes and having to save and load to fix it is a pain. Theres also the characters taking a while to do their action. Other than those few cons I do reccomend this game still.

Grotesque Tactics 2 - Dungeons and Donuts is a fantasy/comedy themed tactical RPG game. Fight various enemies, increase your abilities and plod through the mildly comical plot.
Sadly, the game is very badly polished and contains a few bugs. The English translation is pretty bad. The worst aspect is that while the game supports 4K resolution, there's no UI scaling so the game text is unreadable. In a game where being able to read the interface is vital, this is game breaking. $14.50 for a game without basic features like UI scaling is unacceptable.
There are a lot of marked improvements from the first one, but it's comically buggy and unstable. Quest items will randomly fail to spawn, teammates get stuck in walls and can't move, unavoidable cutscenes cause crashes that can't even be circumvented with dev console, and to top it all off the crash report tool fails (though admittedly the last one is probably the studio's socket no longer existing or something).

Kämpfe dauern künstlich lange, weil diese irgendwo stehen (z.B. auf der andere Seite des Zauns, indem man mindestens 5 Runden benötigt bis die Gruppe beisammen ist - Vorausgesetzt unterwegs ist kein Gegner). Neu laden manchmal notwendig - weil die Chars ineinander stecken.
Quest-Beschreibungen sind unvollständig oder steht noch das was bereits gemacht wurde, aber die Quest geht nicht weiter.

Extremly bad performance - it´s 2019 and with my i9 and Geforce 1070 i´d expect a decent performance, afterall Witcher3, PUBG and similar games are no issue in Full HD. But this one? I have 10-30 fps, extra laggy and regardless what i do, i can bump it up to 36 with lowest solution.

Less bugs than in the first game, camera is limited but for me it's a little better than in 1st part. Characters collision is less frustrating than in the first game. There's a lot of running around hoping to find where You can get a new quests but it really isn't the worst written game I've played. The game has voice acting which isn't on a pro level but it's not bad either. For me characters and the story are interesting even if I had to run a lot to find the quests. And it's interesting continuation of the first game if You forgive some bugs. I didn't have any problems with running it on windows 10 laptop.

Finally finished this after putting it off for so long. Mixed reviews is right. I really don't know if this game is good or not. Hmm no, as a "game" this is not good.
The camera is unstable and shifts at smallest of movement whirling around haphazardly, it doesn't keep up with your parties movement, the zoom doesn't zoom out enough to be useful, and the camera is just to close to you at all times and that's just the camera problems which compound the control problems. You can't pass through your party members, everyone is kind of free roaming and with with the cramped halls of the dungeons you're constantly getting stuck between them. Characters can glitch causing combat to grind to a halt until the game is reloaded and a horde of other annoying little factors are there. Like the fact that it's very unintuitive in what you're suppose to do sometimes forcing you to do the tried old RPG tactic of just talk to everyone and go everywhere until some event is triggered.
Oh the good side, the game's story and character's are very charming and silly. Though I found the humor not quite up to par with the first game it still got some good laughs out of me and the game does well to give you a surprise twist at the end. It's a fun, stupid story that has it's charms if you're willing to not take it too serious. Honestly, if the Devs and Writers are OK with the idea, I would suggest they actually turned this into a full on fantasy novel series. Fantasy comedy is great and very rare, kind of like Slayers. Honestly, I would totally buy that and support the books if they did exist.
Again, as a game there are too many little problems which just ruin the experience for anyone who's not invested or are new comers to the series, but as a story I really like it. It's not great, but it's different and silly. I have to give it a downvote, because again this is a game and I have to review it as a game first. This is not bad. If you're willing to put up with the problems you might get some enjoyment out of it, but most people who just feel this game is a headache and not worth the effort for just a quirky story.

Sam pomysł gry całkiem fajny. Szkoda, że potencjał został zmarnowany. Grę utrudnia mierne sterowanie kamerą, a postać potrafi zaciąć się w wędrówce na pierwszym lepszym przedmiocie lub NPCu.
I like the idea of an RPG parody, the game looks good enough, every single character is fully voiced, animations are nice too. Overall would be a fun game.
I did have some fun with the game, I almost finished it. But the crappy camera movements, the various bugs that prevented me from winning (one of???) the last battle(s???), a few crashes when transitioning areas, and a few other commonly encountered rough edges or bugs really spoiled it in the end.
I would like to say that I will probably replay the end sometime in the future, after cooling off from my frustration a bit. But I think saves aren't synchronized on the steam cloud so...
I'm not ready to spend more time on this game to be honest. I liked it for the concept, I reject it for being too much of a hassle to "use" it.
And I will never know the end of the story.

Grotesque Tactics 2 - Dungeons & Donuts is a game that i actually do not mind getting annoyed by. Yes, the text is hard to read, the journal can be confusing and a little buggy at times and don't get me started on the character pathing (especially when it comes to the escort quests, gah!).
All that being said however i absolutely adore it. In my opinion the humor, characters and writing makes up for some of its flaws. I'm recommending this if you want to smile, chuckle or sometime simply facepalm (this i can almost guarantee) at multiple intervals during your adventure.
Grotesque Tactics 2 is a big improvement over the first game, yet still suffers from bad writing, terrible voice acting, unfunny manchild jokes and sub-par control schemes.
It looks decent and plays decent though.
While being very far from being anywhere near great, it is palatable. So if you're starved for turn based combat RPGs, you can give this a spin. I enjoyed it somewhat.
Ich kann die negative Kritik an diesem spielen nicht wirklich nachvollziehen klar hat das Spiel ein paar fehler und man wird teilweise von seinen eigenen Team kameraden geblockt und kommt an mancher stelle nicht weiter wobei das durch ein einfaches speichern und laden wieder zu beheben ist.
Dieses Spiel hat einen tollen Humor und vorallem im sale ist dieses Spiel allemal sein Geld wert dafür gibts von mir einen Daumen hoch.

This is literally one of the worst games I've ever played, and that's saying a lot. Within the first few *seconds* of playing, my character did that "wobbly vibrating trying to get past something on the floor" thing and got stuck on a crate. Not a great first impression.
I tried some more and the camera is a frustrating mess, you can barely see things to pick up, the writing is abysmal, the combat is worse... you can't tell what guys you're controlling, which are friendly... I could go on, but just thinking about how I wasted money on this crap is making me mad. Good thing I got it on sale.
Ich habe den ersten Teil gespielt und auch wenn es kein Meisterstück war, so hatte ich meinen Spaß mit dem Spiel. Es hatte diesen Old School Charme und auch wenn es keine Grafikperle war, so haben wenigstens meine Augen beim Spielen nicht geblutet. Ich möchte auch den 2. Teil lieben, aber er ist so unfassbar hässlich und spielt sich so unrund, dass ich es einfach nicht empfehlen kann. Die Missionen sind langweilig und der Grafikstil lässt mich in regelmäßigen Abständen aufstoßen. Zusätzlich fühlt sich das Spiel einfach unfertig an. Ständig hängen Einheiten fest oder es kommt zu Glitches. Dieses Spiel ordne ich bei mir unter der Kategorie Fehlkauf ein.
Zwei Dinge sprechen für das Spiel:
1. Es hat mich nur 5 € gekostet
2. Seit dem ich es gespielt habe, erscheinen sogar 20 Jahre alte Spiele als echte Grafikperlen!

After slogging through the bug laden, but admittedly kinda funny, GT1, I breathed a sigh of relief that it was over and I finished it. I decided to hop on 2 to see if was improved. I started in a room and saw my 'loot nearby things' button was lit up so I hit it. my character rammed himself repeatedly into an npc to get to the loot but never managed to figure out how to walk around it. Clicking anywhere proved fruitless, my character happily slamming himself into the NPC for all eternity. The game was stuck... 2 minutes in... Uninstalled and have no desire to ever deal with this companies buggy crap ever again.
Играл в первую часть очень давно.Но вторая-просто галимый шлак.Зачем-то они попытались сделать графон реалистичный,за место анимешного,из-за этого появляются баги и застревания.Открыли немного мир и сделали вольное выполнение миссий.в итоге игра в конце зафакапилась,так как завершить цепочку квестов у наёмников тупо не могу.Очень много диалогов,если смотреть на первую часть.Что переняли из первой части-юмор и высмеивание стереотипов.в остальном-хуже,не советую

Grotesque Tactics ist ein Rundenstrategiespiel, welches sich eher an Anfänger des Genres richtet.
Man hat auch als "alter Hase" durchaus nen netten Zeitvertreib. Das ganze in nicht
ganz zeitgemässer Graphik und leider etwas schwammiger Steuerung und Kamera. :-)
Das Salz in der Suppe der Reihe ist der Humor. Das Spiel nimmt sich selbst und das Genre
nicht allzu ernst.
Aber: Diesmal haben sie dem lustigsten Charakter des ersten Teils, der wirklich für extrem viel Humor
gesorgt hatte, nur ne Nebenrolle gegeben. Das Spiel ist immer noch witzig, aber nicht so wie der
erste Teil. Stellt euch als Vergleich die "Ich-einfach unverbesserlich" Filme ohne Minions vor-
da fehlt was...
Das Spiel ist auch meines Empfindens zu leicht. Selbst auf "schwer" schnetzelt man sich locker durch.
Leider ist bei einem Gegener die Balance total aus den Fugen geraten, Der killt den stärksten und
besten Charakter instant! Das war schon frustrierend...
Fazit: Kleine Spielperle für Fans der Rundentaktik mit immer noch gutem Humor. Vollpreis ist zu teuer - 4 Euro ist angemessen.

TLDR: Hybrid between genres that fails to really shine in any way.
Has similarities to CCRPG, but is so heavily casualized and streamlined that it ressembles more a simplified diablo on a turn based system. The dialogue is about on par in lack of immersion with the first game in the series. Most of the interactivity involve moving close to foes and clicking a attack button, slowly progressing encounters. You do not actually control your whole team and just one unit as far as I could tell. The pathfinding and AI also seemed rather lackluster and the quality on high at proper resolution looked rather poorly textured. Removed for declutter.
Bugged, broken movements etc. Take it back to the Greelight and fix this mess !

Bored me with it's awful jokes, trying too hard to be funny and the gameplay was basic and not grasping. I wouldn't waste my money unless somehow the trailer made you laugh and you aren't hard to please then by all means go for it. Otherwise I suggest Magicka because it is [i]Actually[/i] funny and fun to play.
