As a fan of books like QNTM's "There is no Anti-memetics Division" and games like Control, I was irresistibly drawn to this game after watching the trailer. The writing has character and there are standout moments when it shines in its intersection of surreal horror, fringe science fiction and dark humour.

My overall review is it has some very entertaining writing and visuals, but it is a very short game for its price (about 3-5 hours playtime depending on how quickly you solve certain sections), and I had a strongly negative reaction to the scene related to the developer's content warning of "off screen suicide" because it involved the player character enacting self-harm in first-person perspective and it kept looping on "failure".

I would recommend the game to horror fans, especially those who enjoyed Still Wakes the Deep which has similar horror themes and gameplay conventions.

For most other people curious about the game, I would not recommend due to the price vs playtime being misaligned and the potentially triggering subject matter.

I could not figure out for the life of me why when i got to the cordinators office nothing would happen after about 1 hour of looking around trying everything i went to youtube to find the solution i found the answer their is a problem in the game you are suppose to push the button on the computer the space bar or y if you have a controller and the computer would respond and you would hear talking from the dr and then you would be able to get the camcorder out i have tried my controller and my keyboard and i cannot progress past this part i have tried everything what a shame !

So, I do not have any prior connection to the SCP universe.
But it's luckily not needed.

I just thought; nice little horror walking sim with story, why not.
And storywise I absolutely cannot complain in helping Annie find her way home.

The sound is also mixed really well and the game looks quite good overall.

Just the puzzle with the turning cube was a bit too much for me.
While I got stuck in a place once and couldn't move anymore, the last safe was luckily not too far away.

So now I think its time to Go Home Annie.

Inkább thriller-fantasy, mint horror. Szerencsére nincs benne sok jumpscare, így nekem, aki nem szereti a horrort, eléggé tetszett. A feszültségkeltésben remek a játék, egy délután alatt végigvihető. Nagyszerű ízelítőt ad a játék az SCP Alapítvány univerzumába. Csak ajánlani tudom.
Viszont akik horrorra számítanak, azok lehet, csalódni fognak. Ahogy írtam az elején, ezt inkább thrillernek mondanám.

The first 5 minutes of the game and the screenshots make it feel like you're gonna play a hidden gem. But, as you go further in the story it starts to look and play amateurish more and more. And the story is just not interesting.

One of the better SCP world games I played, kinda wish there were more past the ending, maybe freeing Annie's friends but all around... it was good! Some of the walking area's felt weird, their hitboxes often times causing me to studder when walking over objects, and the gravity puzzle gave me a bit of nausea but those are my only complaints.
Edit: I FORGOT TO MENTION FRANK! I loved him, dispite the little interaction we had with him. The SCPs in this game (the one's that can talk anyways) are rather charming and oddly... cute...

short, albeit a charming SCP-inspired or based game. i love the idea of usage of some not that popular SCP as supporting details on this game and some elements that this became a decent introduction to SCP itself. i love that the devs used the bath tub scp (1974) as a plot element and gave them a really charming personality almost similar to the actual SCP document

however as good as this is, the game i think was too short and the ending was already expected and isnt surprising. tho [spoiler] i hope that the game actually flesh out or give more screen time or decent interaction to some supporting characters or SCP to give them some emotional attachment to the audience and to let the viewers think if they are deserving of what happened to them or not on their last appearance at the timeline of the game. so far i think only SCP 1974 has a more flesh out character but this is due to them being a character with an established personality outside of the game[/spoiler] i also like that this shows an inhumane and cold corporate side of SCP and this game still manage to take itself seriously despite it has some quite humour to it. its a good mixture!

Que jogo bom. 10/10. Jogo foge da obviedade de jogos baseados em SCP, chegando a lembrar em alguns momentos control (por motivos obvios). Puzzles faceis, a maioria pelo menos, mas não reclamo pois gosto assim. Lo dejo en español para animar a más personas a comprarlo (hispanohablantes, claro).

Es un gran juego, en mi caso rompió mis expectativas y sienta las bases de lo que un (buen) juego SCP debe ser. El universo SCP es tan rico, las posibilidades son infinitas, ver este juego me recuerda el gran potencial que tienen los objetos / personajes / locaciones.

Ojalá Misfit siga creando aventuras tan bien hechas, aunque no sean sobre SCP.

Definitely the best horror game I have played so far. It took me +-4h to complete, yes it is short but the creeps this game gave me on literally every step was worth it. At some point this game could just make you cry for no specific reason. 10/10 For graphics, 8/10 for ambient, 9/10 for the lore and 9/10 for other details so overall it is a solid 9/10.

One of the wilder games I've played. Psychedelic at times and creepy. The story was great. I'm not a huge fave of the SCP universe but I like it well enough. This was a little different than I've seen. In a good way. The graphics are crisp and clean. Just sweet! Game ran smooth as silk. Only complaint I have about the game is it could us a simple qol update to do with the handheld camera. It takes up about 1/2 of the screen. It would be nice to have a way to holster it manually. Other than that GREAT GAME.

I have found this game thanks to Croatian games sale and it seemed to be just what I like, so i bought it right away. Game has nice level of creepiness and some horror, without being needlessly gory. It is kinda short (~4 hours of -very- relaxed playing), but thanks to that there are not many repeating mechanics and it keeps feeling fresh. The game is not very hard and you should not get stuck anywhere for too long. My daughter likes creepy stories like this and she was able to finish most of the game by herself. I liked the visuals, mostly in later parts of the game.

If you like this game, you might want to check out Czech game "Panelak", which was kinda similar vibes of creepy building with impossible spaces and SCP-like occurences.

As a game about SCP paranormal anomalies, I didn't expect to be so bored towards the end. There is good premise at start which does not really get developed at all, tied together with extremely thin plot that can throw anything to your way without rules and tied together with nonexistent worldbuilding. It is a walking simulator with some puzzles (which are mostly okay with some very bad in mix) but even then there could be so much what could be done within this concept. At very least it should be at least telling us what and why we are facing some events or anomalies in the world rather than just throwing us into something and then maybe explaining after what it was. One could only find enjoyement out of this game if they can get behind with the quite thin and predictable plot or if they know everything about SCP world and anomalies and therefore know what they are facing without the game telling it. And even with the latter its more about cool aspect rather than anything interesting. I didn't expect that good of a game from this, but man I was still so disappointed.

Oh and I need to add, even as walking simulator its bloated as hell. Every opening of door towards the end is 10 seconds cutscene and every time you do something remotely important there is 10-20 second cutscene. The game should be play as slow or as fast as I like. There is enough to appreciate in the world to take some time, but those things are not beside every door.

Ожидал от игры лучшего ведь мне очень нравится вселенная SCP, но к сожалению игра абсолютно не затянула и не понравилась. В этом отзыве я попробую максимально объективно оценить игру.

Минусы:

• Каноничность по SCP. Игра абсолютно неканоничная, и в ней туча бреда. Я, конечно, не самый ярый фанат SCP, но вселенная мне нравится, и я плюс-минус шарю. Почему мы играем за D-сотрудника, и он спокойно расхаживает по всей зоне без какого-либо контроля и делает что захочет? Ну, возможно, это часть сюжета, который я слегка упустил из-за его скучности и несвязности, учитывая, что я вполне старался вникнуть.
• Графика. Графон может кому-то и нравится, но мне он максимально режет глаза на максимальных настройках и вызывает какое-то отвращение.
• Сюжет. За час игры, во время которого процентов 65 времени я потратил на чтение всяких сюжетных записок, я не выцепил чего-то действительно интересного.
• Геймплей. Сам геймплей оставляет желать лучшего, и во время игры всё время появляется ощущение: "лишь бы это быстрее закончилось", ведь все действия идут безумно медленно и скучно.
• Цена. Абсолютно неоправданная цена, даже беря в учёт, что я покупал её по скидке. В случае, если бы игра стоила раза в 2 дешевле, её можно было бы даже посоветовать тем, кому интересно это минимум из-за темы игры.

Теперь перейдём к плюсам, которых, конечно, куда меньше.

Плюсы:

• Задумка. Задумка в этой игре действительно интересная, и её можно было бы очень классно реализовать, но, видимо, разрабам не хватило либо навыков, либо денег, либо мотивации сделать игру достойной.
• Звуковое сопровождение. Звуки и музыка в этой игре звучат неплохо и довольно приятно.

В целом, я не знаю даже, что ещё можно отметить, но игру к покупке не советую.

N'étant pas familière à 100% de l'univers des SCP, c'est toujours un plaisir d'en découvrir toujours +. It's a commendable step toward a story-heavy SCP game, but after the halfway point it becomes so painfully slow and generic that its very in-one-ear-out-the-other. The finale isn't very good, as expected of most indie "horror" walking sims. There's no scares or even danger to see in this one. The acting was mostly solid outside of some overexaggerations. The puzzles aren't challenging either, with only the last couple making me not realize I could do something with reflections in the water. It's short, not particularly sweet, and as engaging as the SCP parts exist (which is about like, 40% of it). Gives the feeling of an OC fic living under a recognizable skin, which is unfortunately on brand for SCP wiki nowadays.

양동이 SCP부분 연출은 꽤 쩔어줬다 생각 하는데 갑자기 후반부에 주인공 서사에 중점을 두면서
맛있는 소재인 SCP가 묻혀버림 , 그리고 중반부 이후부터 끝까지 SCP는 한번을 안비춤

전체적으로 게임성만 보면 충분히 발전 가능성이 높았고 시작 부분의 연출 부터 스토리 풀어나가는 단계에서는 재밌게 했지만 갈수록 단순하고 이해가 안되는 전개와 불필요한 연출과 어울리지 않는 배경음악, 무엇보다 볼륨의 조절이 정말 아쉬웠다. 게임의 하이라이트라고 여길 수 있고 실제로 그렇게 될 수 있는 부분들은 몇분도 안되고 이해가 안되고 반복적인 장면은 최대한 늘려놔서 전체적인 기획은 이게 아니였는데 시간에 쫓겨 단순한 부분만 늘리고 손이 많이 드는 부분은 줄인 느낌이다. 특히 엔딩으로 갈수록 불필요하고 이해안되는 연출과 스토리가 늘어나더니 결국 마지막 엔딩에서 ?가 자동으로 나오게 된다.

This game has a great concept of a story. You are a D-Class with ties to an SCP and since the foundation was unable to relocate a hole home they instead use a machine to duplicate it to the best of their ability so that you can be used to test it! This machine that was used to duplicate many fun SCPs and each act in either an identical way to the original or very different showing off just how alien the objects are even when they are "duplicated.".
NOW here is my problem with this game. You take a awesome and unique concept of a division whose job is to duplicate SCPs and you shove it in the trash and make the game about an crazy plot to release an extremely volatile SCP in order to lure the facility manager out so you can search his office inevitably leading you to escaping to the outside world. Then you are forced to complete completely moronic puzzles that force you to have an aneurysm out of grief. ALSO you, the character, know that you are in a game called Go Home Annie?? or is that just for the player's to know.

Just no, game is a great concept but the headache is not worth the playtime

This is just mind blowing, it's so good and so unique it's hard to name competition. But a great horror/thriller game in the SCP universe, great actors, great story and so imaginative. If you have to pick one game to NOT watch on youtube and just play it's this one.

This is a very good story game based on the lore of the SCP Foundation. If you are familiar with that lore and if you are a fan of the universe, it's very likely the best scp game out there unless you are more into the multiplayer chase game Secret Lab or Containment Breach which is an old classic. Most other SCP games are incomplete fan work.

Go Home Annie reminded me a little bit of Still Wakes the Deep. While there isn't that much gameplay outside of lighter puzzle solving and a driving section, the story, while being mildly confusing, is actually interesting. Especially during my second playthrough, when I was getting the collectibles (pink flamingos), I enjoyed taking in the atmosphere and story. I also read through all the files and looked up the information.

The part with SCP-973, the cop, and the entire nightly driving section where pretty unsettling. The soundtrack was also fitting well. The ending is pretty weird and confusing and the puzzle was too lenghty. Overall I'd give the game a 6.5 out of 10 though. It would be nice if these devs made a sequel or games about different facilities and SCPs.

完全にクリアした上でのレビュー。
他のSCPを取り扱うゲームと比較してどうなのかということは私には分からないが、全体的には楽しめるゲームだった。
既存のSCPがいくつも出てくるので、SCPのサイトを見て原文を
「これが元ネタか～」
と読みながら遊ぶのが楽しかった。
また、このゲーム独自のSCP-9XXXも複数出てきて、これが物語の根幹であり、
「なぜ私達の世界にはアノマリーが出現するのか」「なぜアニーが主人公なのか」
ということを説明する役割も果たしていた。
それはもちろん、このゲーム独自の設定であり解釈なのだが、「SCPってそもそも何だと思う？」という疑問に対するひとつの考え方として面白かったので、その内容についてはぜひプレイして確かめてほしいところだ。

[h2]謎解きで苦戦したポイントは2箇所[/h2]
パズルが難しいというところはなかった。
苦戦した箇所ひとつ目はぐるぐる回転する箱の中に入って箱の向きを変えて移動してエンブレムの欠片を取得する部分。
パズルというより迷路に近い感じで道に迷うというのもあったが、何より一人称視点で部屋が丸ごと回転したり、落ちたりすることで画面酔いしたのが苦戦の理由となったｗ
もうひとつの苦戦ポイントは彫像組み立てのパズル。こちらはちょっと説明が不足していることと、操作感のクセによって組み立てがなかなかうまく行かない。
パズルそのものは見たままのパーツを見たままの場所に設置すれば完成する簡単なものに見えるのだが、最も大切なことは順序であり、なおかつひとたび組み立て始めたら制限時間内に完成させないと崩壊してしまうルール。
そしてこの説明がなく、試行錯誤で直感的に理解しないといけないので苦戦した感じ。
その他のギミックは大体面白かった。
２周目のプレイは４時間あれば終わる感じだった。

SCPに相当詳しい人がどう思うかはわからないが、「そんなに詳しくはない、ちょっと興味がある」というくらいの人には”はじめてのSCP”として触れてみるのも良いゲームだと思う。
ゲーム内で原文を読めるアノマリーもいくつかあるし、SCP財団のサイトを開いて読み物を楽しみながら遊んでほしい。

I recommend this to people who have never played any other games about SCP or not know so much about SCP as the first SCP game for them.
I had fun playing this reading the articles on SCP's web site.
And there're several ORIGINAL anomalies numbered SCP-9XXX.
These explain why Annie is the heroine, why anomalies exist in our world.

Great game. I am always in search of games that mix story, narrative, lore, puzzles and just general "vibes" in just the right way. Games like this, Firewatch, dead Space etc. are my bread and butter. Such a hidden gem this game is. I will watch what these devs make next with great interest, take my money!

그들만 알아먹을 수 있는 퍼즐이 많이 나옵니다.
중간에 밝고 경쾌한 브금이 무한반복되는 버그에 걸려서
그 이후부터 모든 장면에서 영원히 그 브금과 그 장면들에 해당하는 브금을 겹쳐 들으며
무드라고는 뭣도없는 상황 속을 헤쳐나가며
개떡같은 무브셋에 화를 내게 됩니다.

Я люблю симуляторы хождения, но конкретно этот мне не понравился
В игре делается довольно сильный упор на scp, но при этом слишком поверхностно. Если убрать все, что связано с scp и заменить на что-то другое (паранормальные явления, инопланетяне), то игра особо не изменится
Сюжет тоже не фонтан: иди-найди-спаси
Головоломки не сложные, но прикольные. Хотелось бы побольше
Со скидкой можно взять, но за фулпрайс слишком мало контента и не так чтобы уж хорошо

Being aware of the whole SCP stuff but not very familiar with it, I guess I was expecting a full-blown horror but found Go Home Annie to be mostly just a bit weird and, at times, even silly. It delivers a short story with some intriguing characters and entities, yet every narrative it starts feels underdeveloped or simply forgotten. It has some interesting puzzles and settings, but somewhere past the midpoint it loses focus and rushes to the end through a mixed bag of ideas. On the bright side, it does not overstay its welcome.

Overall, I recommend it. Despite its flaws, this small studio created enough cool moments to convince me they have room to grow and deliver more—whether by supporting Go Home Annie or by developing their next title.

My only real criticism is over a gameplay section:
[spoiler]Those dreadful driving sections should have been a cutscene.[/spoiler]

Great game for SCP lovers if you want a quick interesting story with a lot of fun game mechanics, only criticism I have is I was there was a way to run/walk faster at times, but that may just be me being nit picky. Otherwise enjoyed the game, characters, and fun easter eggs and storylines with the SCP's. Hope to see a future installment or expansion to this or a similar story in this world.

Overall, I feel whelmed by this Go Home Annie

The Good: The voice acting overall and the visuals were great. Absolutely no notes there. Visually appealing and the voice actors delivered their lines solidly.

The Ok: Story beats were delivered competently if not a little predictably. The puzzles at the end were interesting and executed well, but the rest of them were a little too "go here, grab item, slot item" for my taste.

The Bad: The driving portion of the game did not feel good. Controls felt sluggish and fast at the same time. The car felt...floaty almost. The segment in the foundation left me wanting more SCP in my SCP game.

Overall, it's good for a few hours of fun. The visuals are great, and the story's decent. I'm definitely going to keep an eye on Misfit, because I think they are fully capable of delivering something great.

The story is interesting enough, and I liked the two-route part of the Foundation site segment.

However, I played the demo on InfoGamer, and pointed out a few flaws such as, if I recall correctly, dialogue cutscenes that take away control from the player and easy-to-miss puzzle elements. These flaws are present in the main game as well.

Also, it's a bit short. Which could be good as it doesn't overstay its welcome, but it could have been... more - both in length and in terms of more multiple-route puzzles.

I'd recommend wishlisting and waiting for a sale.

A very fun game, with a caveat. The Audio-Mixing is utterly [b] horrendous[/b]. There are sections in the game, that will blow your eardrums out, and if you put the soundeffects down to where they don't do that anymore, you won't hear anything else.

Seriously, the "radio static" sound in the later part of the game, it nearly made me uninstall. Like holy ♥♥♥♥, you can't be serious.

This needs fixing, because it is seriously aggravating.

Otherwise this is a fun little game. Lots of cool lore, so be prepared to get your reading glasses out. Otherwise you'll miss out! The price is fair, I took my sweet time exploring things and felt entertained until the end.

If you enjoy the SCP universe, you're almost certainly going to love this game. I was completely into the story line and puzzles (despite not usually being a "puzzle" sort of gamer). The ending wasn't what I was hoping for, but it didn't detract any from everything else I loved about it (and I suspect a lot of people probably prefer their approach). A solid B-.

So many SCP fan games seem to focus on scares and chase mechanics, and I'm glad this isn't like that. It focuses on the weirder and sillier aspects of these entities beyond comprehension, and I love it for that. And the carefully crafted atmosphere does an excellent job of selling the idea that I'm part of this world. There's an extended driving sequence where you're listening to late night radio as you come across a variety of entities along the road and the immersion was unbelievable.

If you want to become genuinely enthralled in SCP lore with an actual story and solid voice acting, this is a great choice. As for why it's sitting at a Mostly Positive, I'm assuming it's either because the puzzles and gameplay mechanics are just 'okay' or because people were expecting scares from this (if you're here for horror, this isn't the game for you).

Overall, I give this a huge thumbs up. Felt like I was living a spooky story instead of playing one.

Симулятор ходьбы с минимумом интерактива.
Поставь несколько комнат и заставь постоянно по ним бегать, развесь таблички и добавь немного мрачности - всё, поделка готова.
Первые полчаса игра способна неплохо заинтриговать, но потом сдувается, превращаясь в унылую линейную тягомотину. Отбрось попытки найти что-нибудь интересное двигайся тупо по сюжету, и не пропустишь практически ничего, только сэкономишь время.
Если бы не примазка ко вселенной SCP, откуда можно скопипастить хтонь и отсылки - вряд ли была бы замечена.
И, возможно, это всё придирки - и продукту можно было бы дать шанс (учитывая продолжительный хайп на подобные "пугалки"), но не за такой ценник. Отдельно добивает несколько любопытных механик, которые есть просто чтобы пройти определённый этап, без какой-либо игры с участником действия: это отдаёт уже откровенной ленью.
Попахивает наеобманом.
