The NPC clones in Genesis Alpha One feel very limited once you understand how the green gas/aliens spawn and spread through your ship. At that point, you often end up just standing around watching as the clones slowly handle the threats—usually taking far too long to do so.
Clones can manage aliens reasonably well when they're contained inside the refinery. However, loose aliens that spawn at the ore deposits have free rein across the ship unless you proactively block them off with turrets or shields. As for green gas rank 3 clones do allow NPCs to destroy spore nests that happen to be directly in their path, but that's the only scenario where they act on them. Otherwise, they completely ignore the nests. Once spores make it into the crawl spaces, only you (the player) can deal with them effectively.
My biggest pet peeve is the clones' slow reactions, overall limitations, and purely reactionary behavior. They won't take initiative or go out and handle problems proactively—something has to happen right in front of them (or in their assigned work area) before they'll respond. This turns infestation management into a tedious chore where you're constantly babysitting the ship instead of exploring or expanding.
A few quality-of-life suggestions that would make a huge difference:

Add dedicated buildings like a Security Room where clones could work in shifts, actively roaming the station as patrols.
Or an Engineering/Janitor Room that sends clones into crawl spaces to repair damaged energy nodes (a nice nod to games like Dead Space).
Even better, let security clones handle some of the maintenance and cleanup duties too.

These changes would reduce the amount of manual intervention required and make the crew feel like a more capable, self-sustaining team rather than passive workers who only react after things go wrong.
Overall, the core loop of ship-building, exploration, and survival is unique and engaging, but the AI limitations hold it back from feeling as smooth and immersive as it could be. If you're okay micromanaging infestations and doing a lot of the heavy lifting yourself, there's still fun to be had—especially once you get turrets and higher-tier upgrades online.

Главная проблема в рутине, которая становится скучной (если угодно, рутинной) уже через пару часов. Весь геймплей сводится к бесконечному циклу. Летим к обломкам на планету, собираем одни и те же ресурсы. Нет масштаба и даже точки интереса однотипные почти во всех случаях.

Шутерная составляющая тоже не спасает. Стрельба и движения персонажа ощущаются "деревянными", оружие не имеет веса. Враги на последних сложностях нечестные, как всегда в подобных играх. И тогда игра превращается в мучение, потому что баланс в таких ситуациях отсутствует напрочь.

Отдельная попаболь заражение корабля инопланетными паразитами. Сначала механика кажется интересной, но очень быстро выясняется, что капитан огромного корабля, вынужден лично лазить по вентиляции и вычищать слизь, потому что ваши клоны стоят AFK и неспособны помочь в именно самом нудном процессе. Вау, кто бы мог подумать!?

Кроме того, игра страдает от отсутствия глубины и харизмы. Сюжета как такового нет, персонажи безликие. Не получается получать удовольствие от прогресса и всего остального. Слабо.

Really cool and unique idea that I wish existed in other games. The idea of exploring open space with a ship and crew of clones you customize over time, looking for different resources and fighting off pirate boarding parties is an extremely interesting one, especially in first person with 3D graphics.

Unfortunately, it feels very unfinished. The constant infestation spread in your ship just becomes more and more of a chore over time, fighting enemies is like original Doom, but everything is a bullet sponge, your crew doesn't help you with any combat, and the one aspect that feels like it's supposed to be the long-term progression (unlocking new cloning genes) is very slow and doesn't seem to make much of a difference. I barely progressed along it before finishing the story and, by then, I was just tired of spending most of my time micro-managing the "automated" turrets and manually dealing with eggs. Then checked the store page and realized it's already abandoned.

This game is amazing, and it's not hard to explain why. It is a perfect mixture of sci-fi, horror, survival, exploration, shipbuilding, and crew management. There are no other games like this. The writing and lore implications are well-thought out, and the many different endings can be both incredible and terrifying at times.

This game scratches a certain gaming itch I never knew I had. Which is why it’s frustrating that it feels like the devs have moved on and don’t really want to support it anymore.
NO UPDATES? NO MULTIPLAYER? NO MOD SUPPORT? Come on.

HOW ABOUT A GENESIS ALPHA TWO?

Idk, perhaps Team17 just doesn’t see it as worth the effort because they’ve got bigger titles like Overcooked, Dredge, Hell Let Loose, and Golf With Your Friends.

I’m not into those games, but I recognize them due to their popularity. But this is the only game from this publisher that I’ve actually played.

I liked it, it's got some unique mechanics and fun elements and challenges, plus I love the 80's tech style like the classic Alien movies. The AI and combat can be wonky, but it didn't bother me much.

My personal cons is that your ship will get infected. A LOT. You cannot prevent it, only manage it with turrets and shields at chokepoints. Expect 25%-50% of your gameplay to be searching vents for alien critters

As someone who has access to over 1000 games, I still play specific games, even free games. I bought this game for $3 after seeing that it was "free" on a media post. I bought it because I enjoyed the style it seemed to follow but I wasn't expecting much from it in general. Since I started playing it, i have done about 4 or 5 playthroughs and still have not beat it yet but i am close on my current save. I really enjoy this game! its graphics quickly exceed my expectations for a game like this. This game is simple and follows a specific pattern that many games seem to fail with. I genuinely enjoy this game a lot, even though it can suck to quickly lose everything sometimes. I love the ability to learn from my mistakes and try again while also starting new saves with technology and research that i have already discovered previously. In my opinion, the style of this game can be compared to a game called "FTL" - aka - "Faster Than Light" in a few ways that are still very different. This game takes a patient and competitive mind to enjoy, the challenges seem simple but they can be relentless, especially if underestimated and ignored. I highly recommend this game if you watch movies or videos while playing video games.

This one is a mix of feelings. Atmosphere is great, graphics is different and serves its purpose. Misions and "quest" I guess is ok. While a little clunky, interface is also OKish. What bothers me is constant, and I really mean constant infections of the main ship. I mean, come on. Feels like 80% of time I'm running from room to room fighting infections. This can be somewhat contained to the material entry modules and (only sometimes) your crew fights infections but that is just too small of an impact to this problem. So it turns out you have hyperdrive but dont have sterilization process. In space.
Still, I'd recommend game although it feels a bit unfinished and unpolished. just get it when its on sale.

so I came back to this game after a few years to see if bugs have been fixed and if the mechanics have been flushed out. No they havent, bugs still get stuck in hanger bay resulting in you needing to delete it to fix it, so if you have any type of storage attached to it. kiss that tuff good bye and hope it wont happen again. lol but it will. Teleporting into enemy ships for rescue or salvage is still a 50/50 of spawning in a decent start spot, or spawning in the middle of the enemy Barracks with 6 shotguns pointed at you (A bit of an exaggeration probably but not far off) and the game still feels like its missing content for races, you can clone smarter but physically weaker aliens for crew members, but doing so doesnt seem worth as the "smarter" clones dont seem to much faster then their human counterparts when crafting or working. and they have less HP so they die faster. TLDR: its a meh game with bugs and unfinished ideas. wish i could give a middle thumb instead of bad or good, its ok

This is a game that I only play every once in a while. It's a fun game and it gets a little repetitive but this is the first time i ever saw a game like this. People expect AAA title quality from this game and I was a little disappointed when I first started playing but it's a simple yet complex game that has tower defense style tactics. For people who enjoy the lower end type of games and not just the AAA titles should give this game a try. You have to play at least a few runs in order to get a real feal for it since you unlock more things as you go. Nowadays I feel like $20 for a deluxe edition is worth it.

Sadly, I can't recommend this game overall. I found many of the mechanics annoying and systematically unfinished. It feels like there wasn't much effort to actually deliver a quality experience. It gave me an 'Aliens' horror vibe right from the beginning. I'll just keep waiting, or perhaps hope for the opportunity to build a proper game myself and show how it’s really done.

Half of the Steam reviews are made by lazy and incompetent people lol - the tutorial elements are indeed poor but working out what to do is half the fun. Also people complain that the AI doesn't do enough bug cleaning stuff - that's also part of the challenge - you have to lay your ship out so it's not an onerous task.

People also seem to be expecting AAA stuff. I think when it came out it was like 25 quid or something so I can see how the graphics and other slightly rough edges would annoy people who paid full price. I've paid £2.39 in Steam sale but if you spent, I dunno, anything up to a tenner you'd get your money's worth IMHO.

游玩时长推荐在20小时以内，作为rogue它的rogue要素基本只能撑起2-3周目的新鲜感，
游戏流程大概是基建-收集资源-与收集资源出现的外星生物战斗-基建-在固定大小的地图里换星系-登录偶尔出现的废弃太空站-防御看见你就追着你打的海盗-用外星人的各种碎片升级-找到宜居星球打一场boss战-继续这个档或是开新档，
基建部分很友善，拆解资源全数返还，牵引光束偶尔也会带上来一些外星生物，异星登陆很单调，都是采矿和收集遗物，大地图大小固定，基本只沿着有星球的地格走，登陆废弃太空站基本只在收集能探查的资源，清空太空站上的生物也不能拆解那个太空站，与海盗交手完也不能登陆他们的太空站，
游戏整体更偏基建，喜欢探险和拆东西的玩家可能会比较失望。

I played it on the Xbox One and it is just as good on PC. Really great space exploration and ship building simulator. After you beat the tutorial, I recommend making the first playthrough easier by adjusting "galaxy settings" like for example reducing sun storms to 0% and hostile ships to 0%. There are plenty of enemies that already attack you when you beam supplies onboard or when you do an away mission on a planet's surface. Use your first playthrough to get used to game mechanics and also to unlock some goodies like better guns. I highly recommend this game if you like survival games or space simulators.

Space survival sim roguelike. Captain a spaceship in search for a genesis planet to inhabitate, expand your ship facilities, collect building materials, boaster defenses, and kill aliens.

I succeeded a run after two failed runs with a total playtime of 16hrs so each run can get quite lengthy.

On my successful run, I took advantage of some loopholes.
The cloning tank bugged and my crew got stuck inside, which meant hostile aliens couldn't kill them. This was how I reached the amount of people I needed to migrate to the genesis planet.

You can only carry so much ammo. which I ran out deep inside a cave on the genesis planet and had to use the ♥♥♥♥♥♥ default firearm that didn't use ammo but dealt minimal damage. Luckily I trapped the boss spider behind an eletric forcefield, and shot at it for a really long time until it died.

I didn't like the ♥♥♥♥♥♥ radar compass used to find hidden hostiles on the ship. I did unlock something after the run that should show hostiles on the ship map. which can be brought into future runs.

I love this game. Put simply, there's nothing like it anywhere, this game's unique and immersive. I thoroughly enjoyed building up my ship and my crew, exploring systems, and researching (and killing) an endless host of hostile aliens. It's like playing out so many of my favorite sci-fi/horror movies.
Full disclosure, I rarely buy games these days but I had to have this, and I pray there will be more, or a sequel, 'cause I'd buy those, too

I bought and played this game when it first came out on Xbox One and was exclusive to the console. Back then, they were still updating it. Even though it is abandoned now, it is still very good! So good that being abandoned doesn't matter in the slightest! It can be a little bit repetitive with the grind and micro managing. But also so rewarding when your layout works right! For the people that complain about the infestation: that's part of the fun! If you suck so bad that you can't be bothered to place turrets and energy barriers to effectively protect your ship against invaders then you need to go back to Minecraft creative! (Tip: Use the hanger and land on planets to investigate sites. If you're lucky, early game you'll find a cute little mobile turret robot. He can patrol the underbelly of your ship and clean out infestations). I was missing this game so much that when I saw it on steam last week, I just had to have it... AT FULL PRICE BTW! It is worth it as a space strategy colonization game. Seriously, give it a try!

I started playing Genesis Alpha One Deluxe Edition recently and was instantly hooked.
The mix of exploration, survival, and base building makes every session exciting.
Customizing your ship and crew gives a real sense of ownership and strategy.
Alien encounters are intense and keep you on your toes throughout the game.
The procedural generation makes every run feel unique and unpredictable.
Upgrading your base and weapons is satisfying and adds real depth to the gameplay.
The graphics and sound design really capture the feeling of being lost in space.
Even when things go wrong, the challenge makes every victory feel earned.

Avis assez mitigé pour moi. J’en attendais beaucoup après avoir vu la vidéo du Joueur du Grenier, mais la déception a été assez rapide. J’y ai joué pendant quelques heures, et au bout d’environ cinq heures, j’ai décroché.

Le jeu manque clairement d’ergonomie. Je ne m’attendais pas à un gameplay aussi proche d’un Tower Defense, ce qui m’a surpris et pas vraiment dans le bon sens. Le rythme est lent, la progression laborieuse, et la prise en main pas toujours intuitive. On passe beaucoup de temps à se battre contre le système plutôt qu’à profiter du jeu.

L’ambiance reste plaisante : c’est propre, visuellement cohérent, avec un style rétro-futuriste qui a du charme. Mais le gameplay devient vite frustrant. Entre les attaques incessantes, la difficulté mal équilibrée et la gestion aléatoire des ressources, on a du mal à construire quelque chose de stable. On a à peine le temps de respirer que tout s’effondre déjà.

À 20 €, je trouve que le jeu ne vaut clairement pas son prix. Peut-être qu’en solde il mérite un essai, mais dans l’état, c’est décevant. J’y ai joué pour la dernière fois en 2020, et honnêtement, rien ne me donne envie d’y retourner aujourd’hui.

The game is both kind of crude and incredibly ambitious at the same time. There's an incredibly steep learning curve at first, and the menus are incredibly ugly and not exactly user friendly. But once you get past that, this game is truly amazing for what it is.

You play as commander of a colonization ship, dispatched by earth. The ship is staffed by clones, and when your crew die you simply make more in second in a clone lab. You are entirely disposable, if your captain dies, a member of the crew is promoted to take their place.

The game is sort of a roguelite, as you start each run with a tiny barely functional ship and a handful of crew. You have to scavenge for resources and slowly expand your ship section by section. You'll add new modules, more storage space, abilties, life support, etc.

Your primary source of loot will be at first the destroyed wrecks of OTHER colony ships. It's a quantity over quality approach, and space is littered with the ships that failed. You'll build a tractor beam that locks onto wreckage and pulls it into a room on your ship.

Everytime wreckage pops out there's a chance some alien creepy crawlies hitched a ride. Worms, bugs, etc. You'll have to stop them from getting out of the tractor beam room and infecting the rest of the ship. Alien creatures if allowed will scuttle off into the vents and floor spaces. They'll begin to lay eggs and grow a creeping crud that will fill whole corridors. The crud will begin to hatch more aliens, and the stuff can spread through a ship like wildfire. The insects will chew up wires, start fires, and can eventually cause entire modules to blow apart due to explosive decompression.

And this is where the game gets truly fun. Stopping this infection by carefully designing your ship is key.

The layout of modules you create in the ship design screen is actually going to create the 3-D world your character will be running through. All modules, corridors, and rooms have the above the deck room, and underdeck crawl spaces. Stuff can be crawling, growing, and spreading under the decks unless you take precautions to stop it.

You can place portable gun turrets and forcefield barriers to control the spread. You can climb down into the underdeck spaces and run through them shooting growths, tentacles, bugs, etc. You get a motion tracker right out of the movie aliens, and if you see that motion tracker pop up it means SOMETHING is crawling around somewhere. Gotta find it and kill it. If left unchecked it will destroy whole parts of the ship.

Later on you can build a hanger deck where you'll have a shuttle that can land on planets. You'll mine raw resources, find and extract plants, and find unlockable upgrades. You can bring along clones with your to do some mining and provide cover fire. Wherever you land you will be attacked. Relentlessly. Hordes of insects, and human aliens will attack you. You harvest resources, run back into the ship and take off. Whenever your shuttle docks there's a chance you had hitchhikers, and you'll have to blast whatever creepy crawlers just infected your hanger deck.

And even later you can build a "ship assault" room. This is a teleporter room that lets you board and search derelict ships. Once again, these are other colony ships that failed. They can be filled with hostile portable gun turrets, creeping fungus, and alien creatures. The first derelict I went to was covered wall to wall in fungus. Just... everywhere. Gross. The second was mostly a ghost town, some fungus, some damage... but no people. The 3rd was a nightmare. Huge fleshy growths that split open and spilled out creatures covered in barbed tentacles. Other pods disgorged humanoids that looked like they were made of fire and that could shoot fireballs from their hands. Fireballs that did frightening amounts of damage. The motion tracker would light up and show a dozen blips all moving towards me. I'd have to retreat into dead end rooms and pick them off as they poured through the doorways.

The reward for scavenging these ship are blueprints for entirelynew technology, new rooms, new personal weapons, and general resources that the ships crew had found or researched.

The other rewards is genetic information. As you kill various aliens you harvest their dna. It can allow you to start splicing it into human dna to make stronger, faster, smarter races of crewman. The baseline humans you start with have less the half the possible max for intelligence, and about 1/3 the possible max for "resistence" (which is HP). When I blasted the barbed tentacle creatures I got eventually collected enough fragments to unlock an alien ability called "harm touch", which is an AOE attack. But some of these alterations come with costs. You can literally create races that don't breath normal oxygen atmosphere, and you'll have to slow shift your entire biosphere to support this new race. I am just starting to wrap my head around WHY i'd want alien crewman in the first place.

This is all just scratching the surface of this game.

It's incredibly ambitious, and worth the time buying if on sale (I paid about 9 dollars for it on sale). Once you get past the learning curve it can be very addictive.

Mistura muito bem um FPS com exploração espacial e construção de base, controle de recursos e de equipe! Tem uma dinâmica bem viciante na busca de sempre descobrir novos módulos, tecnologias, sistemas soláres e planetas, além de alguns segredos do universo. O jogo tem momentos tensos também quando sua nave é invadida seja por uma outra espécie inteligente ou por uma praga que se espalha pelo subsolo...

É triste que tenha sido esquecido... Se esse jogo voltasse a ser atualizado trazendo novos planetas, módulos, tecnologias, raças, organizações, se tornaria um clássico... Claramente foi abandonado, e boas ideias não foram muito levadas para frente... Talvez um dos maiores erros tenha sido não ter um modo COOP, que com certeza teria promovido muito mais o jogo e mantido o interesse do público nele por mais tempo...

Ainda assim, gosto muito da identidade visual do jogo, da jogabilidade, da história, da construção de base e como isso personaliza sua nave também e das diferentes tipos de dinâmicas desse gameplay... Por ter sido abandonado, não acho que compense o valor, mas se tiver um promoção, pode comprar!!

Me he sentido como en esos juegos de LCD antiguos de Mario, en los que tenias que ir tirando de palancas para vaciar unos contenedores o el mismo Donkey Kong en el que siempre había una consola o un botón que necesitabas que lo apretases fuerte para continuar. Para un juego de temática de exploración espacial me hubiera gustado algo mas que grupos de flujos de trabajo que puedes mas o menos memorizar y agilizar... Nothing hurts this game more than the constant BS of space herpes that build up at every end of your ship while you're off doing a million other things. If this game were multiplayer, it would at least justify the maintenance you have to perform on your ship, yourself. An easier fix would be changing the AI so your countless crew can take care of said space herpes, but alas, this game hasn't seen an update since 2020.

Damn shame, too, this game does so much right just to fumble the ball.

Once you get the mechanics, its really all about:
Grab 1 ressource in tractor beam
Check every vents and corner of the room for 20s
Repeat
Same for expeditions, once you come back, you must check every storage new ressources got added

Why you wonder ? A single barely visible cloud may appear, meaning an infection will spread, and this, is extremly tedious to deal with constantly, otherwise if it take over too much, better just restart
So you do 1ressource at a time, you make just long corridors between rooms to restrict the infection

Awesome potential. Still very fun, and a great combination of feature sets.

Features include but are not limited to:
Exploration - of the local galaxy, several dozen systems (from memory) possibly more, defeated/abandoned enemy starships, and even planetary exploration (small scale under a restrictive force field for the most part).

Starship Design/Building - you start with a limited ship and modules but as you progress and gather resources you can expand your ship in multiple ways. Take care and plan though as some designs are better than others.

Resource Management - You will loot space debris, enemy/abandoned ships, and planets for anything not nailed down. But you only have a limited space until you expand. Just be careful of what you bring back with you.

Combat - Serviceable and a bit clunky, some tower defense (of your ship and landing sites) using defensive turrets and guns but it is still satisfying. You'll have to fight off enemy starships, repel boarders, and cleanse your ship of infections/infestations. You will want to get force fields and turrets up and ready to go in and around your landing bay for the shuttle and the transporter once you unlock them. Especially in your ventilation systems. Also doesn't hurt to do a sweep of the most vulnerable areas of your ship every once in a while too. If you can't tell I really was invested in this part and had it down to a science.

Research - new weapons, ship modules, even genetic templates for the clones you'll have working with you on your ship.
Cloning crew/gene splicing as you defeat enemies you will find that there are environments humans are not suited to, and that the aliens genes can assist with that.

You can have you clones do almost any task aboard you ship, but that is where they should mostly stay. you can take them on expeditions, but you will need to defend them. they're better suited to working the various systems aboard your ship. I also found raiding enemy ships far easier when I was alone.

YMMV, but overall a fantastic game, that could use a lot more content. but for my money it was worth it. It scratched a gaming itch I didn't even know I had, and I wish there was more.

Genesis Alpha One had such a great idea and so much potential, but it ended up being a huge disappointment due to the developers abandoning it. The core gameplay is interesting and creative, but spending hours alone in the game quickly becomes lonely and boring. Many of the issues could have been solved with a proper multiplayer mode, which would have made the experience far more engaging. As it stands, it’s a game that could have been amazing, but ultimately falls short of its promise.

I hate to say this about a game I love but when its unplayable who can enjoy it?
the game is bricked on the title screen without a controller its impossible to play as the button to start wont recognise the LMB or highlight with the mouse over it
and with a controller the only option is to select continue game once in its fine with controller so long as you don't want to select options or any other menu item
its so frustrating to see this game with such potential have such a game bricking bug and its been noticed for a while by others not to mention the content this game could have had it also has no mod support with ZERO mods I mean vanilla its plentiful with hours of content but that bug just bricked the game I'm very unhappy to write about that being one of my experiences because I do love what this game has to offer

I’ve really enjoyed my time with Genesis Alpha One so far – the mix of base-building, exploration, and survival is unique and engaging. The loop of expanding the ship, cloning crew, and dealing with threats keeps the tension high while still rewarding creativity.

That said, after about 7 hours, I can really see how much this game could benefit from a multiplayer or co-op mode. Managing the ship, exploring planets, and defending against infestations could feel even more dynamic with another player. Teamwork could make base management smoother and exploration more exciting, while still keeping the difficulty balanced.

Even something simple like a 2-4 player co-op experience – one person focusing on building and resource management while others explore planets or handle infestations – would add huge replay value and make the game appealing to a wider audience.

Overall, it’s a solid and addictive experience, but I feel multiplayer could take it to the next level and make Genesis Alpha One a long-term staple in many people’s libraries.

This had a ton of interesting features and mechanics, I was hoping to see it lead to something better (GA2?)
But I stopped playing due to two primary issues: The AI wasn't a compelling adversary on planets, you land on a planet and prepare for tower defense while you tell your team to mine (as if, but also because their lives depend on it). Exploring LZ is a feature, and I returned to find alien ruins added to the potential rotation, but you typically want to grab everything you can and leave quickly. I maxed out dropship inventory first.
Every resource/item in the game takes up physical space, but you'll mostly be ferrying them between the shuttle and the resource silo.

The AI works a little better on ships as they've been noded to allow almost full NPC pathing (I noticed a few exploitable oversights or glitches when playing that for whatever reason were still in my save)
Here, their goal is to spread through your ship and kill anyone who resists, this often starts with little "spore clouds" coming off the items you've returned with anywhere from bringing them back onto the ship to when you throw them into the refinery. This was brilliant, IMO. Gave you clear expectations and allowed you to set up protocols to deal with this stuff. Barriers and turrets to funnel enemies into repeatable killzones. Again, tower defense brain in full swing, I got sick of that genre when it was still mostly flash games, but this was a great take on that.
Here's where I get to the other reason I got too frustrated to stick it out. Some infestations just didn't make mechanical sense to me, so much so, that after every single jump, I'd start scouring the ship making sure I didn't pick something up [i]from the vacuum of space[/i] and I'd normally find some alien egg or pod or whatever before the ship module was reporting damage, and I couldn't find a way to predict or prevent this, but if I got complacent just one time I'd come back to an established infestation with snot everywhere and little f'ing spiders chewing holes in everything. How'd they get there? I dunno. No pressure loss, I guess each ship module has an easy access worm-sphincter on the outside. Good horror vibe, but with no way I could find to mitigate at time of playing, it got too tedious, and having a large ship makes it worse. The NPCs were terrible at helping, so I'd normally have to do the cleanup myself to prevent absurd losses.

Fazit:
Genesis Alpha One hat mich überrascht. Zuerst dachte ich das es ein stumpfer Shooter ist, bei den man auch mal abschalten kann, aber dem ist nicht so. Es geht darum sein eigenes Schiff aufzubauen, Ressourcen zu sammeln, in Technik und Genetik forschen, die Crew zu managen und feindliche Invasoren abzuwehren. Man kann sogar andere Schiffe besuchen und plündern.
Besonders das kapern der anderen Schiffe hat Spaß gemacht. Nicht nur das man unterschiedliche Layouts der Schiffe bekommen hat, es waren auch unterschiedliche Situationen, in denen die Schiffe sich befanden. So war ein Schiff ohne Energie, aber noch mit der Crew besetzt. Ein anderes Schiff hatte Bereiche, die zerstört waren. Oder es gab Schiffe, welche eine außerirdische Lebensform an Bord hatte, welche sich überall verbreiten. Absolut geniale Idee.
Es gibt also einiges auf dem Schiff zu tun. Jedoch ist das auch eines der Schwächen des Spiels. Natürlich sollte man am Anfang des Spiels die Grundtätigkeiten durchführen. Wenn man jedoch weiter ist und man immer noch diese Tätigkeiten durchführen muss, weil die KI der Mannschaft es einfach nicht rafft, kann das frustrierend sein. Die KI sollte so clever sein, um z.B. Befall zu erkennen und selbst zu beseitigen. Stattdessen rennen sie gerne mal in krankmachende Wolken und legen sich dann hin... Soll der Kapitän das doch alleine machen.
Natürlich kann man auch Taktiken anwenden, welche dafür sorgen, das der Befall sich nicht ausbreitet. Meine Taktik war zum Beispiel alle anfälligen Bereiche (Transporter, Hanger, Lager, etc.) aufs untere Deck zu verbannen. Dieser Bereich war nur durch den Turbolift erreichbar. Danach habe ich alles zugekleistert mit automatischen Geschützen und Barrieren. Diese musste man zwar immer wieder auffüllen, aber sie haben ihren Zweck erfüllt.
Grafisch ist das Spiel völlig in Ordung. Es ist keine Grafikbombe, aber schaut dennoch gut aus. Vom Gameplay her war alles sehr flüssig und hat auch Spaß gemacht.
Leider gab es auch einige Bugs. Einmal hatte ich einen Bug, in dem die Turbolifte für die Crew nicht mehr funktionierte. In einer anderen Situation wollte ich von einem feindlichen Schiff zurück auf mein Schiff beamen, aber es funktionierte erst nachdem ich alles neu geladen hatte. Es gab noch weitere Kleinigkeiten, aber es hat den Spielspaß nicht außerordentlich beeinträchtigt.
Wer also mal Lust auf ein Weltraumabenteuer hat, in dem man selbst Handlegen muss, der kann beherzt zugreifen. Empfehlenswert!!!!

Biosphère, champignon envahissant, divers espèces aliens a étudier avec chacune ses caractéristiques. Sans parler de la multitude d'arme que ce jeu vous propose. Ce jeu vous occupera un bon moment, en espèrent que vous n'abandonniez pas des votre premier vaisseau car il y aura du challenge. Outre les espèces de champignon envahissante, vous aurez aussi diverses maladie qui mettront a terre votre équipage et provoqueront l'apparition de nid dans votre vaisseau. Et, pour encore plus de difficulté, Des attaques de pillards peuvent avoir lieu entre deux urbex d'épave de vaisseau. Une multitude d'activité varier vous attendent mais préparez vous a serrer un peu les fesses. Mon plus grand regret est que ce jeu n'a pas continuer d'être dévelloper, car il a un potentiel extraordinaire et des bases solides. Si vous en avez locasion prenez le !

First thing I noticed about this game is the music, it's pretty good!

The next thing I noticed, when I got into the game, it feels a lot like work. I thought I'd give it another try later, and came back, and it still felt like work.

I didn't even make it to the combat, but it's just another unreal engine shooter in that department. Time is too precious.

A game I liked when ii first came out but was quickly abandoned by he developers. It had great potential but the game loop is very repetitive and gets old fast. A lot of mechanics aren't refined and the ones that are there are generally annoying. The alien creep on the ship is just awful and you have to try and maintain it constantly. It's an interesting game at first but it lacks a lot of substance to make you want to keep playing it. If the developers didn't abandon their only game it might of become something good instead of okay. Instead all they did was suddenly moved the game from early access to "complete" when it very much isn't a complete and polished game.

This is a unique 3D ship building and exploration game. The gameplay loop is satisfying to me even after all this time and I still occasionally discover something new about it. I think some people will find this game fun, but be warned. It is abandonware. Solid core of a game, sometimes pretty, always clunky. The concept is so awesome I want to love it and I keep trying to enjoy it. but I don't think I'd recommend it to anyone. It leaves me feeling empty and wishing it wasn't garbage. Also, the price point is ridiculous for such a mess.

The videos on the main page are not true to gameplay, except for how slow the enemy AI appears. Combat does feel awkward.

Building and managing crew is really cool, but it takes a lot to learn how to manage infestations before it gets kinda fun.

Many bugs and unpolished bits. Some parts are obviously unfinished and dumb especially boarding other vessels or being boarded, which is incredibly unfortunate, since that is an awesome feature.

The grind is extreme. Be ready to grind an incredible amount.

玩这游戏就感觉很累...船长就是工具人，各种亲力亲为。
这游戏机枪塔是个好东西，有多少放多少，建议放弃火药武器。
牵引站，机场，精炼，寄存舱各种走廊都是重点防御地经常刷孢子（小怪死后也会催生孢子，不注意很容易翻车）
前期资源有点缺，玩到中期后就爆仓了。
想要好东西的话要记得去找遗迹，但后面经常会是升级模块
海盗的话在机枪塔下都是渣渣
这游戏最让人无语的就是NT队友了，踩着孢子不知道打，东西坏了不会修（这游戏可以找到维修机器人，但不知道为啥造出来不会动）
最最最让我搞不懂的就是飞船受到冲击了，本以为是因为在危险地的原因，跃迁去安全地居然还会继续受冲击（并且护盾也没坏）
一波接着一波，随着屏幕抖动各种模块全部显红，神仙都拉不回来了。有没有大佬说下是怎么受到冲击的？

It's a solid game all around, needs some polishing on the mechanics but it works overall. Great game if you're looking for a grind. All you do is collect resource, use those resource to build/upgrade your ship and then you use said ship to explore the "Alpha One Quadrant" and fight off alien infestations and pirates.

Probably one of my favorite colony management/building/survival games out there. It is very unfortunate they stopped development on the game and will not be adding multiplayer to it. Amazing game if you want to run a kickass colony.

Genesis Alpha One, ilk bakışta etkileyici bir fikirle geliyor: uzayda kolonileşme, kaynak yönetimi, klonlama, savunma ve keşif bir arada. Başlangıçta gerçekten ilgi çekici ve merak uyandıran bir deneyim sunuyor. Ancak oyunun bu potansiyeli ne yazık ki tam anlamıyla gerçekleştiremediğini söylemek gerek.

İlk birkaç saat boyunca sistemi öğrenmek, gemiyi geliştirmek, gezegenlere iniş yapmak ve ekip kurmak heyecan verici. Fakat kısa sürede oyun döngüsü kendini tekrar etmeye başlıyor. Farklı görevler ya da senaryolar olsa da temelde hep aynı şeyleri yapıyorsunuz ve bir süre sonra bu durum motivasyonu ciddi şekilde düşürüyor.

Bir diğer sorun ise geliştirici desteğinin zayıf kalması. Oyunun erken erişim sürecinde bazı gelişmeler olsa da, sonrasında neredeyse tamamen kendi haline bırakılmış gibi görünüyor. Bu da oyunun eksik yönlerinin giderilmemesine neden olmuş.

Teknik anlamda fena değil; atmosfer başarılı, müzikler ve tasarım evrenle uyumlu. Ama uzun vadeli bir içerik beklentiniz varsa, bu oyun sizi tatmin etmeyebilir.

I like it. Simple. Fun. Little bit of ship building/resource management. Lil' bit of swarm defense. Not too far into it yet, but it's filling a niche. Would love co-op, bigger maps to explore, and more complexity as you progress (not all at once, but a nice ramp up).

Interesting game. i like the game. played all day. i got the game on sale for around $5, i feel like it was a very good game for that price. i got the sci-fi feel when i played it. Only have some small things about the game that i wish to be changed. I got the shotgun and the spread on it is small and feels more like a handgun when you shoot it. planet/debris scanning at the bridge is tedious, i feel like there should be a thing i can build to have everything around you already scanned. (im falling asleep holding the E key). i hate scanning so much, delete this lol. i can deal with the tractor beam but not the the scanning. would like to turn off the beeping for when aliens are around you. if you play all day, then when your done playing, you can still hear that damn beeping even when you not playing the game because you hear it so much. When your beaming stuff up in the tractor room, every time you beam stuff up you are looking at the beam for aliens to spawn and you get flash banged every time and that sucks alot. then in the hangar when you get on ship and go to a planet, when its time to leave you have a strobe light flash banged happening every time you leave planet (would like that turned off). i feel like i spend alot of time getting flash banged. infestations are annoying. i dont mind aliens being on my ship for me to kill but they are like.....you kill it and it comes back 1min later. And one last thing, i would like to be able to fire a crew member. only way i found to get rid of the ones i dont want was to bring them down to a planet and let them die. i would like to be able to fire them or put them in a air lock and watch them shot into space. other then them small things the game is amazing, good job. Also alien research room and Medical research room are very cool.
