This was a surprisingly great game that should be talked about more. It's definitely more on the metroid side of metroidvania with abilities unlocking paths. The visuals are minimal, but the sound is fun, the movement and abilities are satisfying, and the music is perfectly atmospheric. It even has a decent storyline that's both unique and familiar.

日本語対応してないってストアには表示されてたけどちゃんと日本語対応してた

ボスのHPや一部ザコのHPが極端に高くすぎてそいつらとは戦ってて楽しくない
後半のセーブポイント間が長いザコラッシュははっきり言ってクソつまらなかった
特に鉄球パンチしてくるザコが最悪

値段の割には楽しめたがもし原価で買ってたらオススメにはしてない　
200円以下で買ったのでその値段なら充分楽しいゲーム

Short and sweet. I finished in just under 3 hours, getting everything but one health upgrade. It's a bite-sized Metroidvania, more or less what you'd expect. The trailer makes it look somewhat more intense than it actually is, with some of the more intense sequences involving the player taking unnecessary risks. It has some challenge to it, with a few bosses that were satisfying to die to before learning to master their attacks. Areas are self-contained, so you won't have to do much backtracking.

It has its rough patches: the dialogue is a bit generic throughout, there's places where I wish they had tried to show without telling, the floaty controls can get you killed, and there's one jump over a pit full of instant-death frogs that's a bit too rude for what it is. Still, it gets the core elements of a bite-sized Metroidvania right, so if that's what you're looking for, go ahead and grab it.

A word of warning: When the game tells you there's a point of no return, they really, actually mean it. Unlike most games, even once you beat the final boss, you aren't going back.

Primeiramente é válido ressaltar que o game é bem curto, tendo em média 3 horas de duração (desconsiderando quem vai tentar todas as conquistas), se isso é um ponto positivo ou negativo acredito que vá depender de cada um. O game tem uma historinha de fundo apenas pra dizer que existe. A gameplay é o ponto forte, progressão do jogo é muito bem feita, fazendo com que você realmente sinta evolução da armadura e jogo trás novidades ao longo de toda campanha.
*O level design também é bom.
*Os efeitos sonoros são muito bem feitos e satisfatórios.
É um game muito simples e muito divertido, vale a pena.

猫咪本体手感很滑，后期需脱机甲的地图以及 BOSS 战里让我吃了不少瘪。有些房间需要站在门口清怪通过，但火箭炮的后坐力可能会将你从门口顶回前一个房间，导致不断切版，有些烦。
除去这些外，游戏整体还是不错的，小猫贴图很萌

If you love Pixel Graphics, Metroivania and especially CAT, you're in the right place. If you don't, just play it anyway cause the game is awesome and cute. Love it.
Metroid with a cat. It's a 7/10 game but at that price it's a 9/10 value.
My friend knows how much I love cats. He recommended the game.

1~2시간이라는 짧은 플레이타임을 제외하면 전체적인 완성도에 있어서 크게 뒤떨어지는 부분은 안 보인다. 그만큼 큰 개성을 찾긴 어렵겠지만, 흰 고양이가 주인공이라는 점으로 추가 점수를 받는다. 한 가지 지극히 사소한 단점을 하나 꼽자면, 대화를 나누거나 캐릭터를 움직일 수 없는 상황에서도 시간은 지속해서 흐른다는 점. 특히 스피드런 도전할 때 굉장히 신경쓰이는 부분이다. 어차피 몇 번 트라이하다보면 어렵지 않게 1시간 이내에 클리어할 수 있다곤 하지만.

매트로배니아. 흑백의 픽셀 그래픽. 짧은 플레이타임. 그리고 고양이. 이 중에서 마음에 드는 키워드가 하나라도 있다면 꼭 추천하고 싶은 게임이다. 그나저나 포스터나 일러스트라던가, 전체적인 구도가 작년에 출시됐던 미닛(MINIT)과 꽤 유사해보이는데, 어느 정도는 디볼버 디지털이 의도했던 바가 아닐까 싶다.

켜놓고 딴거하는바람에 플레이타임이 쭉 늘어나긴 했습다만,
대략 3~5시간 빡세게 하면 거의 모을거 다 모으고 클리어할수 있다.
아쉬운점이라면 지도는 자기 위치 확인용이라 다른 맵에 지도 못채운 구간이 있는지 확인할수 없는게 아쉽고
카트리지 모아서 업그레이드 해주는 개구리의 위치는 있었으면 좋았을것같음..
어쨌거나 재미있게 즐겼다. 카트리지 두개정도는 찾기 어려운곳도 있었고 ㅋㅋ
보스전 몇몇개는 다른 보스전에 비해 어렵다는 느낌이 들었지만
힐링팩을 열심히 모으셨다면 무난무난하게 클리어하실거라 생각됨.
어쨌거나 재미있게 즐겼다 ㅋㅋ [망겜]

A cute, short, but fun, metroidvania. Recommended to people who likes completing games but don't have a lot of time to play (Can be beat in 3-4 hours). Replay value is mostly completing the achievements and speedruning (if you're into that kind of thing). Unique 1-bit artsyle, nice soundtrack, lots to explore, but not easy to get lost to. Overall, a good game that doesn't overstays it's welcome.

第五十九款通关的类银，偏银河战士，时长很短的小甜品。

地图设计一般，正常流程比较线性，有一些小技巧能破序；战斗难度低，但是手感很怪，猫形态的爬墙粘滞感很重，机器人形态又好像惯性很强；音乐美术剧情什么的也一般。

地图没去过的但有路的地方自动会标记，但没有主动标记功能。另外通关以后进存档就在飞船里不能再补收集了，需要在提示之前收集全做掉。

Released in 2019 and a current modest asking price of $8 USD I would absolutely recommend this sweet little platformer. Pretty short gametime (not reflected because my ADHD has me wandering around and forgetting to pause). Howlongtobeat states its around 3.5-4.5 hours, though I would estimate my playtime around 6 hours.

I didn't find any bugs myself and thoroughly enjoyed my gametime. The pace was perfect and the bosses were surprisingly challenging. The story itself is extra cute and lovable.

Graphics speak for themselves, these super retro minimalist visuals are charming and the colour pallets can be changed to enjoy or destroy your eyesight. It can be a bit much on the retinas at times - but changing up the pallet seemed to help a little. the music and sound profiles perfectly match the aesthetic and feeling of the game.

This simplistic metroidvania had really great movement and controls. Combat and traversal felt pretty tight and tuned but player adjustment is needed to manage the momentum mechanic.

Plenty of save locations throughout the game, however The end did contain a gauntlet that felt a little excessive and began to wear on my patience. This really made the final save a welcomed respite after multiple attempts and failures.

A short game in terms of a metroidvania, but very enjoyable to explore every bit of the map to collect all thingies.

Just a heads up on the technical side: if you have a monitor that as a refresh rate above 60Hz, you might need to go into your graphics card settings to lock the game into 60Hz, otherwise it'll run at half it's regular speed, for some reason.

Really wanted to like it, but the constant white flashes got to me after a while. Changing the palette did exactly nothing to stop my eyes from bleeding.

The cat is cute and the platforming is just challenging enough to get sucked in, but I'd rather refrain from a stun grenade in my face every 20 seconds.

UPD.: Ended up caving in and using Coffee Stain palette + extremely low screen brightness to finish it. The ending was sweet, my favorite part ended up being the lava rat boss battle.

El único problema que vas a tener con Gato Roboto es su duración: te va a gustar tanto que lo acabarás en pocas horas. Es un clon de Metroid corto pero reinterpretado con su identidad propia pero sin negar las evidentes influencias. Si alguna vez has disfrutado de las aventuras clásicas de Samus es un título imprescindible para echar un rato.

Admito que un juego con esta estética y gameplay pero con un mapa mucho mayor podría engendrar un clásico atemporal, sin embargo entiendo que hacerlo corto y asegurarse de no comprometer la calidad a base de estirar más de lo necesario es un movimiento sensato.

El detalle de desbloquear paletas de colores, al puro estilo de Downwell y que denota las inclinaciones retro de Devolver Digital, es un imán para aquellos que nos criamos con una GBC en las manos tirando de las paletas ocultas con combinaciones de dos colores al usar cartuchos de GB en el nuevo modelo. Cuando la GBC prometió color como su nombre indica no nos mintió. Como detalle curioso esa característica era mi favorita del sistema, en especial las paletas Dark Brown y Pastel son las que más he usado a lo largo de los años.

Super Metroid sigue siendo el mejor juego que ha hecho Nintendo hasta la fecha, así que cualquier título en condiciones que se asemeje tiene cualidades atractivas.

It's fine as a short game especially considering it was cheap. On my first playthrough I 100% the game internally and it was fun to explore. Some of the bosses felt ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ with hard to dodge mechanics only because you had to pixel perfect dodge them. After I beat the game, i attempted the sequence break achievement and that is when I had the most fun in the game. Trying to beat a level without the core mechanic while learning a new way to play the game and look at the level was nice. It was a good challenge. Overall for $2, I think it is a good time killer.

Good game but If you aren't sold on the game based on it being about an 8 bit cat riding a mech, you might be disappointed by the game's short run time. Only buy this one if you like the concept of a metroid-like with this setting and aesthetic, and are a completionist who likes to learn games for 100%.

Otherwise, you'll find yourself beating the game in 3-4 hours and forgetting about it.

黑白简约类银小甜品，复古设计即视感

1.杂项方面
①地图美术设计相当一般，并且无论什么调色板都相当不和谐，眼睛一会儿就不舒服了，还可能会有点晕。
②音乐相当糟糕，80%的时间我都忍不下去直接开静音后台放纯音乐来玩。8bit风的音乐我向来很喜欢，但是goto的音乐真的又刺耳又没有旋律，特别是后期图难听炸了，听的让人烦躁。
③地图设计偏关卡箱庭，就是一个主区域，三个大分支和一个最终地图，没什么设计感，分支和隐藏也相当显眼，很平庸，但是说不上差，毕竟游戏节奏掌控的还是很好。
2.角色方面
①角色脚滑严重，移动和二段跳手感非常烂，射击手感一般，战斗的交互还算不错，boss设计口圈可点但是没有那种让人眼前一亮的设计。
②角色受击机制不合理，无敌帧太短了，遇到aoe就是多判，加上平台短和脚滑的操作手感，打某些boss特别恶心（点名批评岩浆区域的boss，一个失误直接多判五滴血，给我气笑了）
③角色有两种形态，一个战斗一个解密和跳跳乐。猫猫形态脆皮一碰就寄，这个设计还算一般，但是一碰就碎加上存档点少就很致命了，跳跃手感糟糕还有很多长段跑酷的负反馈是致命的。
3.其他
成就分的相当奇怪，而且如果一个档通关了没全收集是不能补的！直接给我气笑了。我不得不重新开两个档（一个速通一个补全收集）。我真搞不懂啊，类银不让一个档回头补成就是何意味。

总评：7.6/10，缺点相当多的平庸类银小甜品，虽然小毛病很多，但是本身的质量不差，推荐游戏荒的时候游玩。
推荐指数：6/10，手感相当劝退，完全不适合首选来玩，除非真的想体验复古风的手感和美术。

1. 게임성 (5 / 10)

길찾기가 어렵지 않고 동선 유도로 인해 스트레스가 적습니다. 전체 지도에 미확인 맵이 직관적으로 표시되어 알아보기 쉬워 길을 놓칠 일이 없습니다.
다만 수집품 카트리지를 획득하는 몇 군데의 길은 전체 지도 상 표시가 되지 않기도 합니다. 필수 요소는 아니라서 괜찮았고 오히려 그런 숨겨진 요소가 있어 전체 지도만 보고 게임하는 게 아닌 실제 인게임을 주의 깊게 살펴야 하는 동기 부여가 되기도 했습니다.
플레이타임이 짧은 만큼 능력들을 빠르게 습득할 수 있어 전개가 답답하지 않으며 한 호흡에 엔딩까지 도달할 수 있어 가벼운 마음으로 즐기기 좋습니다.
또한 업그레이드와 일부 능력은 진행에 필수 사항이 아니어서 유저의 선택에 따라 부담 없이 탐험의 깊이를 조절할 수 있다는 점이 큰 장점입니다.
메카 슈트 없이 고양이 본연의 상태에서는 단 한 번의 피격으로도 사망하기 때문에 생각보다 긴장감을 선사합니다. 이러한 점을 잘 활용한 구간도 마련되어 있어 다양한 재미를 느낄 수 있었습니다.

2. 완성도 (5 / 10)

원하는 키만 개별적으로 수정할 수 있는 게 아니라 화면에 표시된 모든 조작 키를 강제로 새로 지정해야 하는 방식이라 아직 습득하지 않는 능력까지 키를 변경해야 해 혼란을 주기도 했습니다.
사용자 임의로 키 설정을 변경해서 인지는 모르겠지만 게임 내 가이드에서 조작키가 모두 '0'으로 표기되는 UI 버그가 있었습니다.
이외에 다른 버그는 없었고 게임 내 공식 한글화는 잘 되어 있지만 스팀 도전 과제는 영문으로 방치되어 있어 일관성이 떨어져 아쉬웠습니다.
저사양 도트답게 프레임 드랍이나 튕김 현상 없이 매우 쾌적하게 구동되며 폰트 크기를 포함해 스팀덱과 같은 휴대용 게임기에서 즐기기에 매우 최적화된 모습을 보여줍니다.

3. 비주얼 (3 / 10)

고양이와 메카 슈트라는 사기 조합으로 흑백의 대비만을 활용한 단순한 도트 그래픽이 특징입니다. 모든 것을 단순화하다 보니 간혹 적이나 파괴 가능한 블록의 가시성이 떨어지는 구간이 존재하지만 전반적인 난도가 낮아 플레이에 큰 지장을 주지는 않습니다. 오히려 이런 단순함이 게임 전체에 확실한 시각적 통일감을 부여해 좋았습니다.

4. 스토리 (3 / 10)

어떠한 신호를 받고 행성에 불시착한 주인 '게리'와 그의 반려묘의 이야기입니다. 우주선에 갇혀 움직일 수 없는 주인을 대신해 고양이는 여러 역경을 딛고 메카 슈트를 조종하며 이 행성에 숨겨진 비밀을 파헤쳐 갑니다.

This is a high quality Metroidvania. It is quite short at only a few hours but reasonably priced nonetheless. Highly recommend for fans of the genre. It does not do anything groundbreaking per se, but it certainly doesn't need to. Gato Roboto knows what works and doesnt try to reinvent the wheel. Really love the retro 70s aesthetic as well!

Хорошая даже милая Метроидвания про Кошку "Кики" В космосе. Довольно короткая, но мне не помешало в ней провести около 10 часов исследуя каждый угол, и всё таки зачистив ее на 100%. Интересный визуальный стиль и музыка, ну и юмор довольно на высоте!! И есть одно желание "Хочу ещё". Котики спасут мир, ну или хотябы попытаются... Мьяф :3

Cute little metroidvania where you play as a cat who dies if anything touches it. However, if you wear robot suit, you get more lives, a machine gun and a rocket launcher.

Game have cool secrets that reward your exploration with additional suit abilities. Some of them require you to rocket jump with such precision that it almost feels impossible :D

1 hour speedrun achievement will also make you sweat because the timer doesn’t stop if you die or open the map. Your run should be PERFECT.

I didn’t like last section of the game with rooms filled with fat enemies and rooms where you have to exit the robot to move a platform. Really breaks the flow.

Movement also could’ve been more precise, but at least it was fair and responsive.

Gato Roboto es un Metroidvania bastante simple pero bastante bueno

-El pixel art es bonito y detallado
-La música es bastante ambiental y acompaña bien
-Los efectos de sonido están bien hechos
-El juego se controla bien y se deja disfrutar
-Las mejoras que conseguís se sienten fuertes y añaden mucho a la experiencia

Gato Roboto tiene 3 logros que si es tu primera vez jugando los podes evitar sin querer pero al final debido a su corta duración (alrededor de 4-5hrs) lo termina haciendo rejugable

Por el precio me 8$ yo diría que 7$ es mejor ya que es bastante corto, un descuento no hace falta pero no duele tampoco

A game doesn't have to change its genre forever. It can just be a good execution on its ideas. It can have a sense of humor, or just be genuinely fun in the way that old Saturday morning cartoons were. That's about where I place Gato Roboto. It's not a genre-maker like Metroid. It's not a total extravaganza of art and production values like Hollow Knight, Ori, or Blasphemous. It's playful, fun, silly, the sort of game one wishes one had to play ages ago. It's a great example of that uniquely quirky thing that Devolver does so well. Price is reasonable, and there's a real shortage of games where you get to play as a cat piloting a mech.

Gato Roboto

Gato Roboto es un metroidvania 2D inspirado en juegos como Mega Man, con una propuesta clara y directa.

Es un juego corto, pero logra construir muy bien un ambiente retro, acompañado de una banda sonora que respalda perfectamente los escenarios que propone: alcantarillas, zonas de calor, áreas industriales, etc. Todo se siente coherente y bien trabajado dentro de su estilo minimalista.

Mecánicas y mapa

Las mecánicas están bien pensadas y cumplen su función. Algunas habilidades son necesarias para avanzar en ciertas zonas, mientras que otras sirven para mejorar el equipamiento o facilitar la exploración. Hay mejoras más accesibles que otras, lo cual mantiene un buen ritmo de progreso.

El mapa es claro y funcional: te permite saber qué zonas ya has descubierto y cuáles no, algo importante teniendo en cuenta que el mapa es más extenso de lo que parece a primera vista. Además, está bien aprovechado para esconder:

La jugabilidad logra un buen balance entre concentración y satisfacción. Nunca deja de ser divertida, y el control responde bien, haciendo que moverse y combatir sea agradable.

Es una lástima que sea tan corto, pero lo que ofrece está completo, pulido y muy jugoso.

Uma obra-prima da indústria indie, conhecida também como a base da indústria dos games. Aqui eu expresso o meu amor pela obra, pela equipe por trás do desenvolvimento e pela distribuidora que tenho tanto apreço, responsável por grandes hits do mercado. O jogo possui gráficos simples e funcionais com uma gama de personalização, uma história única e cheia de surpresas e personagens cativantes no qual você facilmente se apega mesmo sem ter uma dublagem nos diálogos. Paguei super barato em uma promoção e não me arrependeria mesmo se tivesse comprado a preço cheio. Todo o tempo que passei jogando valeu a pena e me diverti do início ao fim, principalmente com a mecânica de exploração em salas do gênero Metroidvania. É um pecado jogos como esse não terem o devido reconhecimento enquanto franquias fracassadas relançam todo ano e vendem como água. Mais uma vez eu agradeço por existir no mesmo tempo que Gato Roboto.

Metroidvania that is fun, short, and to the point. Doesn't take itself too seriously in a style of humor that I enjoyed. Some movement abilities seem like they would make for a fun speed run. Ducts are terrifying.

3時間かけて達成率94%でクリアしました、短めの2Dアクションシューティングです。
アクション部分は程良い難易度で楽しかったですが、救い無し気味であっさりすぎるエンドはちょっと人を選ぶと思います。

・程よいアクションで、やり応えのある難易度。
・ミサイルがクールダウン形式で弾管理が無いので、撃ちまくれて爽快。
・操作感は少し癖があるが、操作キャラの機動力は高く、無敵ダッシュを取った辺りでかなり自在に動かせるようになる、動かしてて楽しい。
・白黒の懐かしくも温かみのあるグラフィックで、往年のゲームボーイやワンダースワン辺りのゲームを思い出しました。

[h2]悪いところ[/h2]
・道中の雑魚敵から何もドロップしないので、基本的に扉を閉めてくるボス扱いの雑魚敵以外は全無視で良い、邪魔なだけで存在価値が無い。
・難易度選択が無いので、アクションゲームが苦手な人にはちょっと厳しいかも。
・コミカルでゆるそうな見た目に反して、割と救いが無く投げっぱなしでストーリーが終わってしまうので、ストーリーに期待するのは良くないかも。
・実績取得に短時間クリアや縛りプレイが含まれるので、アクションゲーム苦手な人は全実績取得は不可能だと思います。（というか出来てもだるいからやりたくない）

セールで500円以下なら買っても良いかなという感じです。
短編メトロイドヴァニア系のゲームとしては完成度は高く、アクション面はほぼ満点だと思います。
ただ、そもそも難易度選択が無く難しめのアクションなので、アクション苦手な人にはおススメできません。
また、ゆるそうな見た目に反してストーリーは救い無さげで投げっぱなしのまま終わってしまうので、ストーリーやキャラに期待する人にもおススメできません。
シンプルにちょっと難し目のアクションゲームを軽くやりたい人にお勧めですね。

A short and sweet Metroidvania that leans heavily into the "Metroid" side of things and does so very well. The controls are tight, movement and combat is snappy and fun, and there are plenty of secrets to find and advanced movement tech to play around with (it didn't surprise me to see a speedrun-based achievement for the game).

The two-color graphics might be a bit off-putting to some, but I was actually pretty impressed by how well the environment and even secrets were conveyed with the limited palette. The game length and story are pretty barebones, but for a few bucks, it's definitely worth spin-jumping around as a cat in a mech.

It's a very cute, if straightforwards, metroidvania. The core mechanic of being a smaller, weaker character who controls a robot is used very well for the exploration and puzzles. The combat can be a bit annoying to engage with sometimes, especially with repetitive minibosses, but overall the experience is great.

Short and sweet, with a good difficulty :) I think I missed a part of the game before finishing it, but eh.
I think the main issue I have with it is that some parts of the game (the ventilation shaft mainly) are a bit of a slog to backtrack through to try and find missed map tiles.

I highly recommend it to anyone liking metroidvania!

Very fun, very "lite" Metroidvania. There are three "dungeons" and one main "hub" to explore. Getting 10/12 achievements should be pretty easy for most casual players. There are plenty of save points (refills your health) and always a save point before every boss.

You have infinite "lives" and most of the bosses should be pretty easy for most skills levels, although there are a couple of bosses that could give a more casual player trouble.

The last two achievements are there for more of a challenge. Beating the game with only your starting health isn't too difficult once you get the boss patterns down. Beating the game in under 1 hour did take about 4 tries (you basically can't die at any point).

Love the retro Gameboy graphics and there are plenty of collectibles to find! The only complain is that some of the "cat only" sections can be annoying due to the "floaty" movement of the cat.
