From The Rain is a single player survival horror game. Reboot the generator, lock all entrances, and defend yourself from the entities that lurk in the rain. Survive each hour and wait for help to arrive!
In 'From The Rain' you will be alerted of a civil danger emergency which is effective in your county. Defend your house from the entity that attempts breaking in by restarting the generator and charging each lock for every entrance. The entity is smart. It will watch you and attempt the best strategy possible for breaking in. For each hour (or level) of the game, the entity will grow smarter, stronger, and faster. Reboot the generator and charge the locks. Be smart and strategic with every choice you make, because it matters.

Was actually quiet fun! The gameplay is simple. Each hour you have to roam the house, finding switches to unlock a code that allows you to fire up a generator that allows you to start locking doors. And while you're doing that you have to listen for audio clues as to where the entities are, and slam a vent door on them or force them back through a window or door. The final 5th hour is a challenge and probably took near half of my playtime, but it was worth it to crack it in the end.
There seems to be some secret ending but I couldn't figure out how to unlock. However there is a small Halloween themed expansion afterwards which is a nice fun palette cleanser that is a welcome reprieve after the stress of the 5th hour.
Enjoyed this far more than I thought I would, and got more fun than I thought I would. All for a very low price.

Ich mag den Style, visuell und auditiv. Leider ist das Spielprinzip rein Subjektiv nichts für mich. Ich suche mir nen Wolf für die Schalter und gleichzeitig hab ich nicht das Gefühl, dass es mir was bringt. man muss kontunuirlich herumlaufen um zu checken wo das monster einbrechen will und parallel versuchen die Akkus zu laden. What you see is what you get. Es erfindet das rad nicht neu und wer es mag, kann ruhig zugreifen.

From The Rain is rather neat, but it lacks a very important feature other "survive the night" games have. There is no variety. No different enemies or events, it stays the same through and through, getting only harder. The breaker codes are also always randomized, which is very strange and annoying. Imagine the switches in your house change locations every hour.

After about an hour and a half of this game I have to say I'm really enjoying it. The movement is so responsive and fluid. The game challenges you and each time you die or restart the patterns change to keep it from getting dull. Probs to the dev for making this game. I will be putting more time into it and I will 100% this game!
Great horror game and the idea behind it is rly cool
Really great game. Well thought out design. Slowly amps up the difficulty by adding mechanics. Had me on the edge of my seat.
I could write a big game design essay on why I love this game so much. But I'll keep it simple and just say thats its a really well-designed game. Not overly difficult, not overly easy, very fun, very scary. Only complaints I have is that the game doesn't seem to be optimized very well - my frame rate would tank while looking towards the center of the map, even on lowest settings - and your smoke in the ending can make it difficult to see the monster coming.
All in all, though, highly recommend, one of the best games I played in all of 2022.

I'm absolutely blown away that this is the first game this developer has to his name! Clearly he has an innate understanding of horror and has crafted a game that not only keeps the player on edge but encourages the player to hone their navigational skills and auditory senses in order to overcome. I'm currently five hours into the game and have neither beaten it nor grown tired of it, so I think it's safe to say that $2.99 is a steal for what [i]From The Rain[/i] delivers.

Don't usually give reviews, but this game is too sensational to just not give one. Let's talk about price first, price is a 10/10, because it is affordable, cheap, and you get a long game for such amazing price. Jumpscares are crazy at the beginning of the game. There is much more to say, but I am going to have to to stop here or I will give like a 5 paragraph essay on this game hehe
its a really fun retro horror game although headphones are recommended if not required since everything except for a few things are tied to audio cues that are directional in source
From the Rain is excellent. It has strategy and horror elements that have sure scared me. I've tried hiding in the bathroom to escape the "entity" to no avail. I'm not yet finished with this game, but I can't wait to play more and see what the developer does with it in the future. Great work!
