If you like engineering and (re)thinking, you gonna love this game. Trival to start using, not trivial to finish. Pure fun.
Pros:
- you will learn some schemes about why highways designed the way are
- you will have some serious fun failing
- there are sometimes real images of highways to show how the problem solved in real world
- it's fun to recognize the badly designed road causing jams you build is something you have nearby in real world
Cons:
- no controller support if you wanna play on TV
- a bit frustrating drawing a line by hand
- you can only undo last road piece draw, but you cannot edit (move, delete later, etc)
It was very nice and feels realistic, and some challeges are quite tough. Highly recommended.
Incredibly simple premise and graphics, but like approaching an empty canvas with only a pencil, you are both constrained by your tools and free in your expression.
This game balances both "sides of your brain" - creativity and design will inform the curves you draw to ensure smooth traffic-flow but planning and optimization are needed to ensure you minimize your costs and avoid bottle-necks.
Similar to mini-motorways, but less gameified and more sim. Think "poly-bridge" but top-down, and instead of balancing forces against gravity, you're balancing network flow in pipes from a bunch of faucets (and the water is very opinionated about going to a specific drain).
Every now and then you learn about real-life locations and traffic solutions if you're into that sort of thing.
At the end of the day, number go up, and it's $5 full priced.

Solving puzzles is just a part of the game, the real fun is optimizing your solutions and increasing efficiency, which also makes it incredibly replayable. Also, there is practically no learning curve.

Very fun and relaxing game. None of the puzzles seem 'too difficult', but I'm sure that optimizing the efficiency of each network can go deep. As you play the game, you will build an understanding of what causes traffic jams, and how to mimimize it (this is almost always caused by contention, when cars headed to different destinations need to use the same bit of road for a portion of their journey, thus blocking each other when they didn't need to). Howver, roads that fully minimize contention may use a lot more concrete than they needed to, thus reducing overall efficiency, which is the real 'objective'. I think its just throughput / concrete usage. So you need to rework the same network structure with less concrete, maybe make compromises where you say "some contention is _ok_ here because the cost to throughput is negligible but we save a bunch of concrete". Lots of thinking required. Maybe if you have a civil engineering degree, you already know all the solutions and the game will be boring, but I doubt it.
I do wish the game had ways to erase sections of road you have alreay added. Right now, all it has is a way to undo the last action, delete everything, or reset to the previous 'best' config, which seems quite sufficient for most things, but the ability to iterate on an existing design would be epic.
I LOVE IT! It is such rage bait sometimes but its actually my favourite game. Play it. Play it rn.

Awesome game, it gives you openess to approach each map in your own creative way!
But after checking the example images (which are mostly american and England (lefties) not EU, (righties);
The example images are usually wrong for the problems;
The example use either 2 or 3 splits. Whilst this game frequently asks for 3-5 splits.
Which for a highway without trafficlights is nearly impossible without becoming a full clover leaf with a lot of extras;
Yet the game frequently states a dumbell, half clover or diamnd interchange, which would only work with traffic ligths as these use max 3 splits on two roads and 2 splits on the other 2, yet you need 4 roads with 3 splits.
Even some examples asks you to draw a road to connect 2 highways together.. which is insane if you were to go 100 kmph, or 130 kmph between 6:00 and 19:00 (if you are dutch).
What I mean is, nice example images which only popup after 350 points, which you already have a functioning road, yet the examples are imo wrong even if they work.
I'm a life scientists who had too much mathematics, not an road engineer;
So the best wat to beat the game is to assume the incoming traffic from the size of the arrows (or trial and error);
Assume the Sum of the cars, for each relative stream (3 yellow, 1 green 2 blue = 6) = this the max amount of cars cars you can fit on a road for that map. You want reach this number, in order to maximize the car per road ratio.
Split / Divide the stream, but keep the relative max possible cars on each road section, to make room for cars from the other entry points.
Merge / Add the streams, (to the open spots you just made), towards the exit points.
Repeat.
Roundabouts suck in this game for heavy traffic (just like real life). But for light traffic they work.
Problem, larger round abouts work fine if you can use the inner and outer rings, but this game does not play nice with that, it requires Right side priority and Stated in/out going spots for the roundabout.
There is no such thing as programming priorities in this game. (and just like in real life people tend to ignore them anyway...)
So, approach each map mathematically, or like I do Organically.
Most of my solutions looks like and blood vessel network rather than an OCD of straight lines or circles. Was suprised I got above 350 to even 450 on some maps.
I believe building limitations are not taken too much into account.
There are ways to inflate to the score number, but that's glitching, or using very dangerous roads I'd not design.
Anyway great game, but keep using your head, intuition and saftey!
This game is a lot of fun if you enjoy puzzle games. Some levels can be rather challenging, especially when you run out of concrete. Good luck reader if you bought the game / are playing the game. :D
Satisfying and annoying at the same time! Sometimes some jankiness happens but overall the road painting mechanic is smooth!

This game is absolutely astounding! It's a quick download and takes up minimal space. Yet, the fun and creativity never ends. There is always room to improve! If you like pushing your mind to its limits and like critical thinking, this is the game for you! Enjoy and have fun!

Honestly, the game is pretty straight forward, but I am shocked at how many times I have connected a road and it won't register as a valid pathway to connect. It was frustrating to complete a pathway for the 20th time and 2 roads wouldn't connect, I definitely would not recommend.

Can't get enough of games like this. Only downside is not always knowing where there's a disconnection, but the arrows are more than enough to troubleshoot. Silly game, has a good amount of levels to play.

Excellent game, well worth the money. Even after "beating" it I still come back sometimes to use the follow car mechanic to watch my freeways guide the way for little automated cars like a screensaver.
Game gets repetitve soon. Four roads, five roads. four roads, five roads... sometimes scenery. Scenery levels are interesting and encourage spaghetti, most of others are same and straightforward. Pretty most of levels may be solved using a roundabout,
But overall it's a fun little game.
