I don't recommend this game at all too anyone who is interested. It has the mount and blade feel to it without delivering anything beyond the skeletal frame.
I bought this years ago and it was kind of awesome and then one update made combat feel so bad, the ai went from ehh if you play bad then you'll get shot but then one update made even existing behind cover a nightmare cuz as soon as you peak even if there's 50 guys beside you, you still get shot to heck.
The biggest con is the ai are basically aim hackers now and you can feel it. if they hadn't made this change then I could at least enjoy the game to a decent amount but as it is now I will never recommend this game to anyone, not even as a joke.
I feel like Valve should implement some sort of penalty for companies who release games in early access like this and then never finish them.
Started promising, but completely erased the version I liked and has failed to deliver on any of said promises. Also abandoned.

I tried to hold out hope for 2 years that updates and progress would come, but at this point I do believe this is a scam. It's buggy and if the team would have stopped their endless revisionism and put something out, then they could have had a lukewarm recommendation. Instead they chose to keep restarting, then abandon it, and tried to milk the husk by promising a rework that will never come. This was a dream. It was Mount & Blade, but modern and done official. Too bad was a good game a first now trash on steam

I recommend it for all the Mount and Blade fans that wanted to use guns but all the mods fell short of their expectations. This game takes those gun mods to a whole new level. One of the bonusses is that it allows you to fully customize unit gear, allowing you to decide from A-Z what your army composition looks like. A bonus feature is that your basic building block is your squad of 6 which you can outfit with any variety of unit types and gear them to your needs. Definitely give this one a try!

Its an ok game. They made it insainly difficult to change your flag. Like why is this not a funtion in the game, if you make an army id like to chose my flag.

This game was better when you had vehicles. Mount & Blade but Vans & AKs. Eventually earning enough to have a squadron of Armored Vehicles with cannons that you could absolutely dominate the battlefield. Then they removed vehicles entirely and then abandoned the game altogether. I could have played the previous version a lot more and found the new one just frustrating to play into the long term as I was micromanaging everyone's gear and getting fed up with losing them all the time whilst I slowly lose all my move speed on the map because they removed vans from the game so you had limited carry capacity and no mobility because you had to supply this growing army that every other army never has to worry about supplies, yet when you loot them you'll get barely any of what they should have had for what they were fielding.
Honestly even with how they left it, it was a fun little game.
It's completely abandoned now though, so I cannot recommend it.
If they dropped it to $7 or so it would be worth the money, but at $35 it is absolutely not.
A massive shame, they really had a nice combat system going before they abandoned the game.

Купил игру в раннем доступе несколько лет назад, поверив в крутую концепцию: тактика Mount & Blade в сеттинге современной гражданской войны. Что получил в итоге? Застывший во времени симулятор разочарования.
Главные проблемы:
Разработчики исчезли. Это не "медленный цикл обновлений", это клиническая смерть проекта. Последнее значимое обновление было в прошлой эпохе. Баги, кривой ИИ, незавершённые механики — всё это останется с вами навсегда. Нет патчей, нет коммуникации, нет дорожной карты. Просто тишина.
Сырой и брошенный геймплей. Идея гениальна, но её исполнение — на уровне студенческого проекта, который забросили за месяц до защиты. ИИ союзников и противников действует как сломанный робот. Баланс оружия и экономики отсутствует как класс. Оптимизация оставляет желать лучшего. Ощущение, что игра вышла в Early Access на 30% готовности и на этом всё закончилось.
Нулевая поддержка. Задавали вопрос в сообществе? Писали в поддержку? Наивные. Вы говорите с пустотой. Разработчики (Starni Games) давно не подают признаков жизни. Сообщество держится на фанатах-энтузиастах, но без инструментов для моддинга и какой-либо обратной связи от авторов — это героическая, но безнадёжная попытка реанимировать мумию.
Вердикт: НЕ РЕКОМЕНДУЮ.
Do not buy this game. This game has a great concept, pretty decent gameplay and good bones but (and thisisa big but) it is abandonware, there's nothing but bones and maybe a few hours of gameplay, it's a buggy mess that makes you question your sanity and the stickyness of trees. Run don't walk away from this game.

o jogo é bom, divertido, tem mods a comunidade investe tempo. porém, me parece que os desenvolvedores abandonaram o jogo, tem a atualização de veículos que está pendente desde 2024, não sei se é demorado assim mesmo, ou se pararam com a atualização. acreditem este jogo com veículos adicionados, facilmente se tornaria um dos melhores jogos de guerra/administração de cidades/administração de exercitos. e sim, ele lembra muito Mount and blade, que inclusive tem um mod parecido com esse game, e lá, mesmo sendo um jogo muito antigo, tem carros e tals.. se está pensando em comprar, espere uma promoção, ou espere a atualização final.

很好的游戏，就是板块通关以后出现的阿尔法势力会出问题，而且对方撤退不会失败单位会跑到屏幕外，用卡BUG都有概率不能解决，希望后期有优化。有人吐槽游戏AI不太行，这个游戏更偏运营和小队指挥，AI太复杂玩起来就不够休闲，省点脑子也恰到好处，元素也比较丰富。但是贸易系统有大问题，城市占领足够多后就不能拓展，只有5个商队这种设置不是很合理，而且也不能取消路线，这些恶性BUG都会严重干扰游戏体验，期待后续有机会会跟新

This studio recycles the same game concepts over and over, publishing them to Early Access and then abandoning them.
I took a huge multi-year break from gaming and decided to download steam on a mac laptop I recently bought to keep track of my daily affairs. I must say, I am shocked that some games on my list are still works in progress, this title included. The early access blitz that hit steam all those years ago has been revealed to be ,for some games not all, a way for dishonest people to turn half finished thoughts and an endless stream of promises into revenue previously reserved for developers that intended to deliver a complete product to their customers. It is ok to support small developers. It is ok to be patient, but it has been seven years, and the last message from the developers was, as of this writing, 19 months ago. In short, do not waste your money.

Devs decided to run to make Sunkenland instead of sticking to their promise they made in 2024 when they had their game back. If you want this game buy it from a website like G2A or Kingguin the devs do not deserve your money and wont use it to help this game.
I bought this game when it first came out into Early Access. I have to say, it had promise all those years ago. This game has been abandoned for over 5 years now. The developers came in and took it out of Early Access when Steam made their policy to remove Early Access games that had not been updated. They also increased the price at that time. This game is a workaround for the Early Access banning that Steam will be doing. This game should be removed from the store page. Please do not waste your money on it. And if you have bought this game recently, refund it immediately.
I find it entertaining, but it needs work and appears to be a dead game. It's a pity.
I absolutely got my moneys worth out of this, but cannot recommend it.
It had everything promised and nothing delivered, unfortunately has become an abandonware with no correspondence by Devs at all in the year and no sign of update. Rumour has it they have left the project. The game after this time is still not playable properly and very janky. My advice is drop kick this into touch and go buy its spiritual successor (total conflict resistance) which is 100% better and what the game should have been and is actively being updated.

Bug, Bug, Bug, Bug all bugs are major and break the game, spend hours getting things then you get ya first city then your trade units get stuck in the city and wont move even after resetting them 30 times. BOOOOOOOOO you suck lol
Если бы не многочисленные глюки, игра могла быть очень интересной. Постоянные застревания в дереве, застревания ещё где то, кнопка "за мной" не отключается. В атаку солдаты из-за этого не бегут, очень глючная игра, к сожалению, за столько лет не изменилось это.

A great idea gone wrong. The game mechanics are fun but buggy, and the game has been abandoned. The Devs added a faction of women called "Valkyries" which are impossibly stronger than all other factions. Girl Power!
It is the modern day Mount & Blade! I really enjoy the gameplay and it is smooth. It has been a while since this game has come out and I am actually stunned this game hasn't received the traction it deserves to have!

Freeman: Guerrilla Warfare, c'était du PUR GÉNIE sur papier : un mix Mount & Blade + FPS moderne où tu commences avec un flingue pourri, recrutes des miliciens, gères une faction, conquis des villes et mène des batailles en première personne. Genre Arma meets stratégie sandbox. J'ai kiffé les 50 premières heures en Early Access.
Le bon (quand ça marchait) :
Recrutement/équipement d'unités, économie qui tourne, map ouverte avec factions rivales.
Combats FPS immersifs, customisation d'armes, possibilité de conquérir le monde.
Mods Steam pour un peu de fun (mais pauvres).
MAIS LES DEVS (KK Game Studio) ONT TOTALEMENT ABANDONNÉ LE JEU.
Dernière update réelle ? 2020 (v1.33). Depuis : radio silence total, promesses de "remake" en 2022, screenshots bidons en 2024 (vidéo YouTube WIP), et basta. En 2025, rien. Forums Steam explosent : "abandoned", "devs took the money and ran", "scam".
Ils ont changé de nom d'entreprise plusieurs fois, bossé sur d'autres jeux foireux (The Viking Way, etc.), et laissé Freeman pourrir. Ex-modo Discord balance tout : "no further updates".
Galères partout :
Bugs game-breaking : crashes, saves corrompus, IA débile qui cheat.
Downgrades post-EA : suppression véhicules/artillerie, maps pourries.
Pas de fin, contenu manquant, optimisation naze.
Récent Steam : Very Negative (10%), global Mixed (60%) sur 5k+ reviews.
Verdict : ÉVITEZ COMME LA PESTE. C'aurait pu être INCROYABLE, mais les devs ont pris le fric et se sont cassés. À 5€ en soldes pour tester l'IA (si ça load), sinon direct Mount & Blade Warband mods ou Antistasi Arma 3. Gros gâchis, arnaque pure.
TL;DR : 9/10 en potentiel, 1/10 en réalité. Abandonné = ne payez pas.
Release latest version and maybe I'd be happy. But it's a pretty horrible asset flip right now.
