Вы – старинный друг Виктора Франкенштейна, знаменитого учёного. Он вознамерился осчастливить человечество, найдя способ жить вечно. Для проведения своих экспериментов, Виктор, со своей женой Элизабет, переехали в особняк к барону Игорю. Опыты проходили успешно – учёному удалось оживить крысу и даже тигра. Правда, оживлённые твари получились страшными и злобными. Когда Виктор добрался до опытов над людьми, он понял, что лезть на границу между жизнью и смертью, не самая лучшая идея. Он решил соскочить, но Игорь оказался резко против. Франкенштейн понял, что пора вызывать Вас, о чём и сообщает в письме, с просьбой прибыть немедленно. Вы приезжаете в условленное место и оказываетесь свидетелем страшного события. Молодую Элизабет похищает страшный монстр, сшитый из кусков тел и весь искрящийся от электричества. Вам предстоит добраться до особняка Игоря и выяснить, к каким результатам привели эксперименты Вашего друга.

Я уже не один раз упоминал, что мне очень не нравиться, когда в подобных играх с поиском предметов, начисто отсутствует логика хранения вещей и применения замков. Так вот, эта игра практически полностью состоит из подобной фигни. Перед Вами сарай, перед сараем выросла пшеница. Вы не можете войти в сарай, пока её не скосите. Но это же не кактусы, в чём проблема пройти сквозь траву? Дальше есть заколоченный досками дверной проём. У меня есть ножовка, гаечный ключ, кирка и тяжелая латная перчатка, но ничего из этого не может сломать старые доски. А на кухне есть кладовка, закрытая на хитрый тройной замок, части которого валяются по всему особняку. Бедная прислуга, которой столько надо мучиться, чтобы набрать продуктов к обеду. Бревно, которое нельзя перелезть, вещи, которые лежат в неподходящих для этим вещей местах, и другие признаки лени дизайнеров видны везде. А вот сцены поиска предметов и задачки сделаны достаточно интересно.

Спасает игру картинка и сюжетные ролики. Нарисовано всё тщательно и детально, а мрачная палитра добавляет атмосферы таинственности. Ролики тоже на высоком уровне, сделаны качественно и динамично. Музыка хорошая.

Это чисто моё субъективное мнение об этой игре. Возможно, Вас не задевают претензии, высказанные мною, тогда Вы получите крепкий середнячок, в который можно поиграть на досуге.

Франкенштейн: Мастер смерти — это как если бы Шерлок Холмс и Виктор Франкенштейн пошли на свидание в викторианский морг, но забыли, что один из них — зомби.
Ты — доктор, который ищет свою невесту, а находит только части тел и записки "я тебя люблю, но у меня нет сердца".
Графика — как старый фильм ужасов, но в 2D: всё серое, мрачно, и каждый труп выглядит так, будто его только что выкопали.
Загадки? "Собери монстра из трёх кусков" — звучит просто, пока ты не поймёшь, что нога в одном углу, а голова в другом, и она ещё и матерится.
Минус: диалоги такие пафосные, что хочется заорать "Да просто поцелуй её уже!".
Плюс: когда ты наконец собираешь своего Франкенштейна — это как если бы ты собрал IKEA-шкаф, но он потом оживает и говорит "спасибо, пап".Вердикт: 7/10. Если любишь готический фетиш и не боишься, что твой монстр потом попросит "ещё одну руку" — бери.

Про дракулу зашло больше, эта часть ну такое. В поиске предметов в куче раздражает интерфейс, перегораживает часть экрана, это мешает, когда какая-то фигнюшка находится с краю; еще иногда не прокликивается предмет. Сюжетка короткая, но конец зажевали, как будто тебя побыстрее выгнать пытаются, можно было бы перераспределить время. Головоломки разнообразные, но легкие. Понравилось, что в этой части у героя в инвентаре предметы живут подольше, многие не одноразовые. Она не прям плохая, но и не отличная

Broken on 21:9 screens; the top and bottom parts of the game are missing so it is impossible to finish hidden objects scenes.

I’ve been able to progress so far (using the skip button) but I’m not sure if it will always be the case.

Also the UI is less convenient than in Artifex Mundi games; the mouse pointer doesn’t change on top of interactive objects...

Edit: finally asked for a refund. It’s not only the issue with the 21:9 screen; the gameplay just isn’t very good.

There are plenty of puzzles, and the artwork was nice, but a couple of things made me downvote this; first of all the map for me was almost useless, it was too big for my screen and would not move, and also failed to show areas where there was something to interact with. despite saying it did.
Secondly there was a bug with one of the items that kept disappearing from my bag and I had to keep getting it again. Finally there was no bonus chapter, so it was too short. Get it on a discount day!

A handful of hotspots are finicky, particularly when objects share the same depth plane, leading to a few pixel-hunt moments that the series map normally prevents. It is approachable for newcomers—thanks to clear objectives, a forgiving hint system, and a strong fast-travel map—while still providing enough variety to keep veterans engaged. If you come for a deep meditation on creation and responsibility, the script will feel like an adventure-serial riff rather than a philosophical treatise. But if you’re in the mood for an atmospheric, competently designed HOPA with satisfying machinery and a throughline that keeps your feet moving, this is an easy one to recommend

Обратились к правильному человеку.

В игре с поиском предметов за 60руб по скидону, ожидать более 3ех часов истории не стоило.
Но, почему же наиграно более 5?

Сейчас расскажу.
Прочитал руководство, понял что стоит запустить максимальную сложность (тут ок), ну, и могут багнуться достижения
(конечно же, это я не мог обойти стороной :D)

Первые два прохождения я криворучка случайно клацнул мышкой во время катсцен, чего нельзя было делать, иначе, не получишь ачиву ([spoiler]?[/spoiler])
Окей, перепройду еще раз, и тут в середине игры почему то нужные предметы перестают взаимодействовать там, где и нужно (хотя использованием всех остальных предметов сопровождалось сообщением о том, что мы выбрали не то)

Тут создал отдельный профиль, запустил прошел (аккуратно), и ничего, не слутал одну последнюю ачиву.

Ну, с 4ого то раза я все же получил ее :D
В том же руководстве было указано про удаление сохранений, но я все же посчитал, что все дело в кривых руках.

Absolutely great HOG. No notes. (Except that you need to unlock the UI during the hidden object scenes because a couple times there's an item underneath the hint button). Well worth it and that's something I rarely say about these silly HOGs. One of the interesting things is that all the clues and puzzles are entirely grounded in logic. Need to get through fabric, you use a knife. You DON'T craft a sleeping potion for the angry bear to get it to snore a lullaby for a fabric goblin.

Again, extremely careful not to skip (accidentally click)..... no final achievement. UGH! So frustrated with broken games. Devs should have fixed this years ago. 9.5 hours later and idk how many replays later and still no "Devil is in the Details" achievement. Followed all steps people recommend and still can't get it to trigger. Not really worth it. Game is very easy even on hard/expert mode. Felt like it was made just for people to get achievements but yet they are very buggy.

It's a fun little point and click but if you want the Devil in the Details achievement - Make sure that you do not accidentally click through any dialogue. They count as a 'cutscene' and it will count as a skip.

They only noticeable difference between Easy and Hard is that in Easy the hidden object puzzles have sparkles once you uncover them.
It took me a few runs before I could get the final achievement to pop but it wasn't that frustrating. The extra puzzle in every hidden object is a fun touch. There is no rng and every playthrough is the same.

Das Spiel ist grafisch so schrecklich, dass es humoristischer wirkt als es vermutlich soll. Die Animationen erinnern an die Anfänge in den 90ern und zumindest die Schlussszene könnte eine Referenz auf den berühmten Kampf zwischen Captain Kirk und Gorn sein. Dieses Level an Trash. Inhaltlich ist die Story ja weithin bekannt und auch nichts Neues. Die Führung durch die Szenarien ist sehr repetetiv und ich hatte schnell keine Lust mehr weiter zu spielen, hab mich nur noch motivationslos durchgeklickt, was auch auf schwierigster Stufe recht einfach geht. Es gibt auch wenig neue Spielkonzepte bei den Minigames. Was ich gut fand war, dass in den Wimmelbildszenen separt immer noch kleine Minigames versteckt waren, also alles etwas verschachtelter als gewohnt. Aber insgesamt hinterlässt "Frankenstein: Master of Death" nur ein tiefes Gefühl der Fremdscham und vielleicht ist das der eigentliche Horror, der unerwartete. Wenn man schon etliche Wimmelbild-Spiele gespielt hat, ist es nicht wirklich empfehlenswert. Es sei denn man hat gerade Lust auf sehr seichte Unterhaltung mit einer großen Portion cringe.

одна из самых слабых частей, не стала доигрывать до конца, очень скучно стало. загадки простые, сюжет бессмысленный. да, графика неплохая, выглядит нормально, но это буквально единственный плюс. в другие подобных частях есть момент "настолько плохо, что аж хорошо", и они бывают довольно смешными из-за этого. я надеялась, что здесь будут комичными сцены с Франкенштейном, но они просто плохо сделаны. к счастью, играми по поиску предметов мы не обделены, и легко можно найти в разы лучше и интереснее.

Okey.. I would say both yes and no to this HOG.
I have played alot of HOG and this is WAY to easy, bad mechanics for moving around in the map and in the game, slow pace to the point that i closed the game but at the same time to fast, i finished it before i even finished all the places on the map without knowing it. Not reinstalling it though unless im REALLY boored.
I finished it cuz i wanted it to be done with.
Story is all fine but it could be so much better if the mechanics were better.

Отличная игра! Прошли с дочкой 6 лет с удовольствием. Ребёнку очень понравилось. Приходилось малой объяснять некоторые моменты, помогать с частью головоломок (например передвижения квадратов по типу игры в "пятнашки"), применением некоторых предметов и читать текст из заставок. В остальном ребёнок почти всё осилил сам.

Интересная игра квест, где нужно решать головоломки и искать предметы. Поминает такие игры как Резик или Сайлент Хилл. Даже в этой игре приходилось найти стрелку, дабы починить часы)) По сюжету, мы едем в гости к нашему другу, дабы разобраться с ужасами, которые он и его партнёр учинили. Игрушка весьма расслабляющая, проходится за 1 вечерок. Катсцены забавные. Все куда то уходят, а я шагаю по их следам, и так всю игру. Головоломки весьма лёгкие, но моментами надо и правда поднапрячь мозги. А где то есть конкретная мозгодавка. Соберите классический танграм, и в тот момент я просто застрял на 20 минут. Это как собрать паззл, только в десятки раз труднее, ведь найти схожие черты в этом горе танграме не представлялось возможным. В целом, всю игру бегаем и решаем квест за квестом. Чтобы потушить пожар, нужно где то найти огнетушитель, а чтобы его заполучить надо прогнать летучую мышь, а дабы её прогнать нужен фотик, и чтобы найти фотик, надо решить паззл с эмблемами, а эмблемы разбросаны по нескольким локациям в специальных местах, к которым тебе тоже нужно как то получить доступ. И всё в таком духе. Моментами такие квесты доходят до маразма. Когда надо было прогнать мышь, я такой, ну господи, у тебя есть нож, отвёртка, ножовка, жахни ты по этой мыши и она улетит. НО нет! НАДО НАЙТИ ФОТИК, кричит главный герой с пеной у рта, и испугать её вспышкой. Или вот ещё... Логика гг! Не загружать же мне уголь руками.. И правда б**дь, повсюду монстры ♥♥♥♥, чудовище человек, тигр зомби, а его волнует загружать ли уголь руками, шизанутый. Найди лопату! Ты должен найти лопату для угля. В игре также есть встроенные подсказки, что весьма удобно, если ты застрял на каком то моменте, а застревать ты всё-равно будешь. Так как где то на локации тебе надо отыскать проход, который ты никогда бы в жизни не заметил, он завален камнями, и эти камни тебе надо сломать киркой. И я такой, о, боже, и как я мог узнать, что там проход? Каждая решённая головоломка сопровождается анимацией, как ты например открутил гайки, или потушил пожар, приятная мелочь. Игре ставлю 8.4\10, пару раз пройти и правда можно, даже тем, кто не привык к данному жанру.

Un jeu d'objets cachés, avec une histoire qui reprends vaguement celle de Frankenstein. L'histoire n'est pas vraiment intéressante.

Le jeu est vraiment trop simple : les mini jeux sont vraiment ridiculement simplistes, et les scènes d'objets cachés bien trop faciles. Les objets ne sont pas en évidence, mais il y en a vraiment peu par scène, et on a rarement l'impression qu'ils s'intègrent bien dans le décor.

Par ailleurs, on n'a qu'une liste de 4 objets à la fois, alors qu'il faut en général en trouver un peu plus d'une dizaine par scène. Dommage. Pour ce qui est de la traduction, c'est comme souvent fait sans contexte, donc on a les habituelles problèmes du genre.

Un bon point pour le jeu : on peut revenir dans n'importe quel lieu quand on veut. Le jeu n'est pas séparé en plusieurs "chapitres" comme bien souvent.

La musique ne colle pas du tout... si je ne vois pas de problème à ce qu'elle s'emballe lors d'une cinématique, il aurait fallu revenir à un truc chill par la suite.

Aucune difficulté pour les succès, il suffira de faire le jeu en mode difficile sans passer aucune cinématique pour tous les obtenir.

“[i]To examine the causes of life, we must first have recourse to death.[/i]” This beginning quote, initially published in 1818, comes from the famous novel [i]Frankenstein; or, the Modern Prometheus[/i], written by the mother of science fiction Mary Shelley. Yesterday would’ve been her 227th birthday, so I thought, in my own way, I would decide to celebrate. Thankfully, I found a perfect choice.

[i]Frankenstein: Master of Death[/i] puts players in the role of Victor Frankenstein's old friend, who has received a letter asking for his help. Victor doesn’t go into specifics but informs us that we’ll learn everything once we visit. That is made abundantly clear when his wife, Elizabeth, gets attacked by an undead man right as we arrive, and the adventure begins. Throughout our journey, we’ll encounter monsters, overcome challenges, find clues, save creatures, and stop an inhuman experiment. Can we do it and save our old friend and his wife in the process?

[i]Frankenstein[/i] is such a classic story and one of my favorites, so I wanted to see how this game would tackle it. To be honest, I really like the way this game tells the story of the famous fictional scientist who learned the secret to life and death. It was slightly similar but also new at the same time. Furthermore, the game reminded me in ways of a spooky puzzle-type game I played back in February called [i]Cursed[/i] (2016). Unlike that game, this one had hidden object scenes which weren’t too challenging. Overall, the game wasn’t overly complicated with its gameplay, puzzles, and HO scenes, which I liked. It made for a spooky, relaxing experience and session, and it was also very fitting to play this as we move into the spooky months.

While I agree with a couple of reviews saying that this game is a little generic, I still found several things to enjoy about it. The art style/graphics are nice to look at; I adored the animations of the animals and characters, and the atmosphere, along with the sound design, was spot on. There is some replayability as the game has two gamemode options: easy and hard. However, as far as I can tell, there isn’t too much difference between them (only slight differences). In addition, the game isn’t too long, about 1-2 hours in length, so it can be finished in one sitting. All in all, this is an excellent game for spooky season and for lovers of Mary Shelley’s work!

Frankenstein: Master of Death is a solid, but pretty average point and click game. I'm a big fan of Frankenstein in all of his incarnations, so this game scratched that itch for me. However, the game is a bit generic. If you've played one generic point and click game, this one feels about the same as the rest. It's fairly priced for it's scope and quality, so if you like Frankenstein, this one might be worth it for you, though outside of that it's hard to give a strong recommendation too as there are countless similar games out there.

Victor Frankenstein, an old friend and brilliant scientist, has managed to resurrect the dead! The line between life and death is fragile, however, and Victor has learned the hard way that this balance should not be upset. (Developer)

This game offers:
- Exploration; Yes, plenty. The search for objects that you need to progress is what we mean here.
- Search; Oh yes, for the way..... where was it again where I wanted to go. Too much walking, for my taste.
- Hidden object; Yes, some, quite well done.
- Mini-games; Included in the hidden object areas (easy) and also some external ones. These are more difficult to name.
- Story; Well, so-so. It's just a matter of opinion.
- Bugs; but sure, especially for the stupid players, why do they always complain. Bug fix, it just doesn't happen that quickly, it's only been nine years since the release.
These mainly relate to the beginning of the game. Open pages cannot be closed. Just quit and start again. It's quick. Two hidden object scenes, each with a mini game that can't be solved because a part is missing. A translation error, negligible. Two hotspot displays are missing. Annoying.
- Solution approach;
The game is well equipped with a number of aids. Just use them, and the 3 hours of play time are quite entertaining.

In summary, this old game actually offers more fun than many newer games. The gameplay is also better than most comparable games. The graphics are also surprisingly good.

However, it bothers me at least that I have to deal with bugs that have been known for ages but have never been fixed.

Despite all of this, I don't want to rate it negatively because a lot more effort has gone into the game than in many new games. The gameplay is coherent and there are no unnecessary time-wasters.

Dieses Game bietet:
- Erkundung; Ja, reichlich. Die Suche nach Objekten die du benötigst um weiter zu kommen, ist hier gemeint.
- Suche; Oh ja, nach dem Weg..... wo war es doch gleich noch mal wo ich hin wollte. Zu viel gelaufe, nach meinem Geschmack.
- Wimmel; Ja einige, durchaus gut gemacht.
- Minispiele; Sind in den Wimmelbereichen enthalten (leicht) und auch einige extern. Diese sind schon eher als schwer zu benennen.
- Geschichte; Na ja, geht so. Ist halt Ansichtssache.
- Bugs; aber sicher, extra für die doofen Spieler, warum beschweren die sich auch immer. Bugfix, geht halt nicht so schnell, sind ja auch erst neun Jahre vergangen seit Veröffentlichung.
Diese beziehen sich vor allem auf den Anfang des Spieles. Offene Seiten lassen sich nicht schließen. Einfach beenden und neu Starten. Geht schnell. Zwei Wimmelbilder mit je einem Minispiel das sich nicht lösen lässt da jeweils ein Teil fehlt. Ein Übersetzungsfehler, vernachlässigbar. Zwei Hotspotanzeigen nicht vorhanden. Ärgerlich.
- Lösungsansatz;
Das Game ist bestens ausgestattet mit etlichen Hilfen. Nutzt sie einfach, so sind die 3 Stunden Spielzeit recht unterhaltsam.

Zusammengefasst bietet dieses alte Spiel eigentlich mehr Spielspaß wie viele neuere Games. Auch das Gameplay ist besser als bei den meisten vergleichbaren Spielen. Zudem ist die Grafik erstaunlich gut.
Jedoch stört mich zumindest, dass ich mich mit Bugs befassen muss, die seit ewig Bekannt sind, jedoch nie beseitigt wurden.

Trotz alledem will ich es nicht Negativ bewerten weil in dem Spiel viel mehr Mühe drinn steckt als in vielen neuen Spielen. Das Gameplay ist in sich schlüssig und es sind keine unnötigen Zeitfresser eingebaut.
Mir hat es durchaus gefallen.

Nice HOG, beautiful art.
It's pretty hunt-y and linear, but still plenty enjoyable.
You get a whole ton of going back and forth to find where to use the objects you found, it's the type that needs exactly the right thing to work, and you get a few puzzles here are there that are mostly easy to solve.
The story is pretty much a super abbreviated Frankenstein story. xD

Anyways, short and fun HOG. It's not as elaborate as the top HOGs, but also not bad like the generic ones. Recommended for those that really enjoys the genre.

Mon expérience sur ce jeu est plutôt positive et j’ai apprécié mes différentes parties (4 en tout pour les succès).

Les différents petits casse-têtes et objets cachés sont assez faciles à résoudre ou réaliser même en « expert ». C’est très bien pour moi mais cela ne devrait pas satisfaire les plus expérimentés des joueurs.
Cependant il y a des soucis de traduction sur le nom de certains objets cachés (comme par exemple : Plus clair = briquet / Signe = cygne / Plan = avion / Plaque = Assiette).

L’histoire est sympathique à suivre bien que les graphismes soient un peu désuets mais cela n’est en aucun cas gênant voire même servant la narration.
Les animations sont plus que correct surtout si je me base sur ma petite expérience de ce type de jeu.

Par contre 2 succès sont buggés et ils ne se débloquent pas ; ce problème est connu depuis 2015 et il est toujours d’actualité au moment ou j’écris cette évaluation (2024). Je ne trouve pas cela normal que ce soit au joueur de faire des manipulations dans les fichiers du jeu afin de les obtenir (vu sur le forum de discussion).

Voilà pour moi, j’ai pris le jeu en promotion et c’est très bien surtout à cause du bug des succès.

I wish there was some larger scenes as I always enjoy games with a steampunk / weird science / van helsing / frankenstein setting, the game is fairly short and easy but I enjoyed the typical hidden object game elements. It was nice to have a little more interaction in the hidden object scenes compared to some others, but I suggest clicking the option to unlock/hide UI during those moments.

Za mě spatná hra. svět není intuitivní a je to defakto klikačka ted klikni sem a pak sem. K tomu věcné běhaní do starých lokací i přes to že z nich odcestujete vlakem či letadlem. Není problém sbírat předměty aniž by byly příběhově opodstatněné.
Některé předměty po použití z inventáře zmizí nekleté zůstanou. Ani hláška typu došlo rozbilo. jen mě mrzí že sem s tou hrou stranil nervy pul hodiny po tom co šla vrátit.

Frankenstein: Master of Death оказалась очень посредственной игрой. Она сделана по канонам HOG, но абсолютно бездарно и спустя рукава.

Графика, характерна для низкобюджетных HOG игр, в которых нет сюжетной части, а есть только сцены поиска предметов: безвкусная и незапоминающаяся. Оркестровая музыка не совсем подходит к тому, что происходит на экране и иногда просто начинает напрягать. Мини-игры сверхпростые, а сцены поиска содержат огромные объекты, искать которые даже не надо, они сразу бросаются в глаза, тем самым интереса в поиске предметов никакого.В отличии от остальных HOG здесь при наведении курсора на объект, который можно использовать, курсор свой вид не меняет и это иногда накаляет. По ходу игру одни и те же предметы из инвентаря нужно использовать несколько раз и это выглядит как ограниченная фантазия сценариста, которому не захотелось прописывать использование новых объектов. До этого такого в HOG -играх не встречал. Сами предметы чаще всего используются в этой же или соседней локации. Пожалуй единственное к чему бы я не стал придираться - это cut-сцены. Они сделаны добротны и их довольно много, практически в каждой новой локации.

Подводя итог, могу только порекомендовать пройти мимо, ведь игра не вызывает никакого интереса.

Это довольно неплохая игра в жанре "POINT & CLICK". Несмотря на немного грубую анимацию переходов, текстуры сцен довольно красивые, и сюжет игры довольно цельный.

В основном игра сводится к поиску ключевых предметов и ключей для разгадывания головоломок. Прохождение не слишком короткое и не слишком длинное; игра займет примерно 2-3 часа, и уровень сложности мини-игр не очень высок.

[*]Некоторые инструменты могут использоваться несколько раз, например, железные перчатки можно использовать для взятия горячего предмета или для извлечения чего-то из-за стекла; отвертку можно применить к нескольким местам с винтами.
[*]В режиме "поиск предметов" всегда есть 3 интерактивных предмета для взаимодействия, остальные ищутся согласно списку ниже.
[*]Карта пометит все нерешенные головоломки, так что если застрял, можно использовать это как подсказку.
[*]Некоторые цифры для решения головоломок могут быть найдены на предыдущих игровых сценах; если видите что-то такое, лучше запомнить и попробовать использовать позже.
[*]На местах с головоломками при наведении указателя мыши появится значок увеличительного стекла. Когда все головоломки на этой сцене будут завершены, автоматически произойдет выход из увеличенной сцены, и ее нельзя будет снова открыть. В итоге, почти нет вероятности путаницы, при которой бы вы многократно проверяли сцену, на которой уже все головоломки решены.

Все достижения можно получить за одно прохождение, хотя у некоторых из них есть баги (например, нельзя пропустить анимацию или мини-игру и т.д.). Если в первом прохождении не удалось выполнить требования для какого-то достижения, то в последующих придется удалить сохранение и начать сначала.

Frankenstein was very good, great animation, and an excellent boxing match between the parties. The UI got in the way during the hidden object scenes which was annoying so there was a lot of locking and unlocking of the UI through the game. I wish the rat had more screen time.
