I'm not really sure if Fantasy Versus is an asset flip. Some elements of this game certainly make it seem like the developer put some effort into assembling some kind of original here. On the other hand, a lot of the game assets don't seem like they were created by the developer, but they haven't credited any asset creators for supplying assets, which might be a case of plagiarism. There's no evidence, so we need to give the benefit of the doubt... regardless, asset flip or not, the quality here is indistinguishable from many asset flip/cash grab scams, and that's a problem in itself.
This is a console-esque third person brawler with a PvP focus... and no players, of course, because the quality is so low. Which leaves the afterthought that is the single player content, which is just running around some simple low poly environments and brawling various asset flip looking enemies, badly.
Taking this shovelware seriously as if it was a genuine attempt to make a game, it doesn't meet basic minimum requirements that most PC gamers expect as standard.
The game features low-polygon "retro" assets with a cel-shading type shader effects instead of doing their job properly and texturing the game assets, making this look like a barely functional 3D game from the early 1990s. This visual style is a method that lazy devs often use when they have a lack of interest/capabilty to create highly detailed, high poly models and instead use shader effects to disguise that shortcoming under the name of "art", or "We made it look bad on purpose", which really isn't something gamers should have to put up with. It's unclear why the developers weren't willing to arrange high quality, high polygon count contemporary assets and high resolution textures for the game. It's far below the state of the art visuals gamers expect as a result of their decisions.
The controls and game handling are notably very clunky, sluggish and unsmooth here. It's janky and unsatisfying to play... and any experienced gamer will tell you, the handling, responsiveness and general gameplay feel of the control scheme must be well polished for this kind of game to succeed. Unfortunately, this is something the developer seems to have phoned in, with little to no apparent gameplay testing. They dropped the ball on this one.
This looks a lot like it was designed for consoles. While this is on PC, it has all the hallmarks and deficiencies of a console game, from the clunkier than needed control scheme to the less than cutting edge graphics. There's 10's of thousands of PC games on Steam, and PC gamers deserve only the best. This might not appeal to many gamers due to the lack of PC-centric design. It's unclear why this never made it to the video game console appliances it seems to have been designed for.
These technical defects push this game below acceptable standards for any modern PC game.
Reviewing SteamDB to check how popular this game was with players reveals a surprise... there's a modest spike in player counts for the game. But this only happened once, around the same time that trading cards were applied to the game... so this is just card idlers getting their cards and moving on. A closer look at the numbers shows the game just has a couple of players every week running up the game and idling it for cards, then deleting it. We must ask how it benefits gamers for there to be so many games like this, with no merit as a serious game, that only generate sales from people idling and selling the trading cards.
So, should you buy this game? Is this one of the best of the 100,000+ games on Steam?
Fantasy Versus has the almost comically optimistic (if it wasn't so sad) price of around $7 USD, it's not worth it given the defects and shortcomings with the product, especially considering the sheer number of completely free, much higher quality games on Steam. For comparison, the $7 asking price for this game could get you games like "Fallout: New Vegas", the "Tomb Raider" remake or "Ark: Survival Evolved". Quality, professionally made games like those are frequently on sale cheaper than this.

There's a potential for a fun single/co-op game here, but seems to have suffered from a 4v4 multiplayer focus which didn't trend.
If the developer ever gathered a larger team and spent another 2 years turning into a action RPG with a story, would definitely be interested. As it current stands, feels like a slightly more beta or proof of concept.
Charming though, even in its simplicity.
I have a mixed feeling about this game First of all, the single-player doesn't have storytelling it just you pick a map and then play it, as it felt like I was skipping some levels that I was not supposed to, second the multiplayer has 0 player so fighting with somebody will be impossible if you are lucky maybe you can invite your friends, third most of the achievement is impossible to get as I said in the second one that the multiplayer has 0 player in every server, I wish they could add a bot that I may play the multiplayer and get all the achievements.

Fun but Needs More Content and Players
The game is pretty fun overall, and the character choices add some nice variety to the experience. However, one major issue is that there simply aren't enough levels in single-player mode. I finished the available content in about an hour and a half, and after that, I just replayed them on harder difficulty modes. While this was fun at first, it quickly became repetitive.
Multiplayer could definitely help break up the monotony, but the problem is that there aren't enough players online. I’ve tried to hop into multiplayer games, but the servers are mostly empty, which makes it difficult to enjoy that part of the game. If more people played, I think I would have had a much better time.
Another issue I’d mention is the presence of invisible walls when moving into new areas of a level. If you’re not careful, you can exploit this by staying behind while enemies spawn, giving you a chance to kill them without taking any damage (unless they’re ranged). Also, in the Heresy Trials level, there’s a part where the witch eyes you need to "command" can get stuck behind these invisible walls if you don’t destroy the fence or forget to grab them.
All things considered, it's an okay game for its price, but to really elevate the experience, I’d suggest adding more levels or, ideally, more active multiplayer servers to give people a reason to play more often. More levels would definitely be my top suggestion to keep things fresh and exciting.

I did the campaign, i got the "The Witches trial" in which your minions attack the first gaurd and one shot him, then proceed to break and do nothing. and because the enemy has a light shield you yourself are unable to attack. Rendering the game either tediously long, or flat out impossible

Гра звичайно чудова та мила, але за пару годин вона тобі набридне. Та в онлайн не можливо зіграти, бо тому що людей попусту немає для цього.

Martwa gra, bez partnera do online, można co najwyżej grindować exp w trybie single, ale to i tak pozwoli na max połowę osiągnięć, a i widać, że tryb ten był tylko na doczepkę, żeby poćwiczyć czy odblokować postaci.

Juegazo q tuvo la mala suerte de pasar desapercibido por todos pero ponle el mundo de calamardo y vendran todos los sigue modas a jugarlo xd el juego es hermoso con unos graficos decentes, mapas bien detallados y un montonazo de clases pero como no lo juegan los tontubers o twitchers pues les toca morir en el olvido con poquitos jugadores o ya despues de los añitos ninguno :c compralo nomas por su campaña porque el online esta muertisimo 8/10
Sadly, not alot of people are online so multiplayer lobbies are hard to fill. Single player is solid and a great experience; unlocking characters would be faster if there was a larger player base

The single player is just an unimaginative campaign with very poor ai. I think this was supposed to be focused on the multiplayer but the multiplayer is dead with no players. You can't even hit the max rank without playing the multiplayer.
Singleplayer mode is simple, short and soulless.
Don't know about multiplayer.

Multiplayer's dead - from what I've played it seemed decent, but with a campaign that is 2 hours long (including grinding for the singleplayer achievements) and no bot support... don't bother.
游戏其实挺好玩，战斗有点类似幻想大陆还比它有趣的多，就是没人玩很遗憾。可能还是游戏内容太少留不住玩家时间，就一个PVP，玩单人也不知道有没有人开房间，看没人都直接下线了，造成一直没人。。
可以做阵营国家之类的增加归属的，做一个大的国家地图，放上据点攻占那样，最好再来几个各自的主城。有很多游戏可以参考，比如幻想大陆，征服的荣耀都是类似的框架，里面又塞了很多东西。主要还是留住玩家时间，不然一直没人。。
希望游戏可以好起来，真的很有趣。

很快就玩腻了
게임 UI나 캐릭터는 마음에 들고 좀 더 볼륨을 늘려줬으면 좋았을 게임입니다.
게임 안의 로고나 아트워크는 마음에 듭니다. 싱글 스토리가 너무 없어서 명성 노가다를 할수가 없네요.
멀티플레이어를 노리고 만든 게임이고 싱글 플레이 쪽은 따로 신경 안 쓴 듯한 느낌이 강합니다.
적과 우리편 AI가 너무 허우적거리고 피곤하게 전투해야하는 일이 잦습니다.
장점 : 게임 아트워크. 싱글 플레이 할 때 맵 그려놓은 것과 UI, 게임 캐릭터는 매우 좋다. 차라리 2D 게임이었으면 좋았을 텐데.
단점 : 즐길게 없다.

This game is a reference to a MMORPG called Fantasy Earth Zero made by Square Enix. The game itself definitely has good potential, including having deep mechanics and distinctive art style. Yet the key gameplay relies too much on online multiplayer where it could be too ambitious for an indie game.
Currently, the game is completely dead. I would not suggest buying this for its single player campaign alone.
It's incredibly simple combat but it doesn't feel bad if that makes any sense. Everything seems to work as you'd expect. It's just nothing special imo. Like a 5/10.
