On September 21, 1986, two priests arrived at the Martin Family home in rural Connecticut to investigate an apparent case of demonic possession. Only two people would leave the house alive. Faith: The Unholy Trinity es un gran juego de terror que adopta un estilo minimalista retro para demostrar que, en el género del horror, menos, es más. Con un marcado homenaje a la estética de los primeros sistemas de Atari y animaciones en rotoscopia inquietantemente realistas, logra sumergir al jugador en una atmósfera opresiva y única que pocos títulos consiguen igualar.

Lo mejor:
El apartado artístico es simplemente hermoso, logrando transmitir tensión con recursos visuales mínimos. Las cinemáticas en rotoscopia están magníficamente logradas y aportan un nivel de detalle que contrasta a la perfección con la estética pixelada. El gameplay, que se maneja con solo unos pocos botones, esconde una profundidad sorprendente tanto en combate como en la solución de rompecabezas. La historia, inspirada en los supuestos casos de "posesiones demoníacas", está llena de lore. Además, ofrece una rejugabilidad gracias a sus múltiples finales y secretos repartidos por toda la aventura.

Punto medio:
La velocidad de movimiento y la de los diálogos es un poco lenta, lo que en ciertos momentos de exploración puede llegar a hacerse algo tedioso, sobre todo si estás repitiendo secciones en busca de secretos.

Lo malo:
Al haber sido originalmente pensado y lanzado en un formato episódico, se nota una leve falta de coherencia narrativa entre capítulos; ciertos saltos en la trama se sienten un poco abruptos. También habría sido ideal contar con una localización más completa (como subtítulos en más idiomas), considerando el tiempo transcurrido desde su publicación, ya que gran parte del peso narrativo recae en los textos.

Opinión personal:
En definitiva, Faith: The Unholy Trinity es un juego que deberías de probar del terror independiente. Es un título que puedes encontrar frecuentemente a en descuento. Mi próximo juego a platinar.

I played this completely blind, and probably got the "worst" endings for each chapter and still had one of the best experiences with a game in a long time. Some parts were genuinely unsettling, the cutscenes are satisfying, and the dialogue has some of the best lines in any game I've played. Currently on my way to 100% it, or at least get every ending. Such a great game.

ATARI2600のようなグラフィックで悪魔祓いをしていくゲームですが、低い解像度を逆に手に取った恐怖、そしてロトスコープアニメーションで更に恐怖を際立たせてるのが最高でした。ストーリーの完成度も高く、我々プレイヤーにも考えさせられる内容のゲームとなっています。
欠点を上げるならば、移動の遅さとデータセーブが任意の場所で出来ないことです。

FAITH is a very stylized interesting horror game. Like many horror games, it tells a lot of its story through notes found in the environment, but they're all interesting and add a lot. I think this game really shines with its art direction, though. Most of the gameplay is done in a simple pixel style, which makes the game really uncanny and old-feeling. However, there are some cutscenes with really interesting animation that both enhance the experience while keeping true to the game's style. It's a spooky game, and I'd highly recommend it to any horror fans.

Fantastic game, exceeded my expectations for it and was well worth the price I paid. A decent challenge with some replayability in hunting for every possible ending. The retro style has been executed well and is quite novel. While I enjoyed the aberration, the voices, and the soundtrack, it gave some of my viewers a headache (which can be avoided in changing your settings- so just a heads up). A feature that was not lost on me was the frequent autosaving checkpoints. As someone who performs excessive manual saving, the autosave points (in THOSE certain spots) offered another challenge in hunting the different endings. Assuming that the subject matter doesn't deter you, I recommend this to anyone looking for a shorter retro gothic horror game.

SPOILERS AHEAD (ig):

Obviously there are demons and people who perish, but there are some instances of animals and children being hurt/destroyed. Chp. 1 has such instances involving a firearm. There is a particular unskippable battle in chp. 3 where you must defeat droves of demonic infants in a hospital. While all of the violence is pixelated and didn't bother me, you should be informed.

レトロゲーム風のホラーゲームです。
できることは十字キーでの移動と十字架を掲げることくらい。
3章仕立て、それぞれ2～5EDのマルチエンドです。

1章プレイ時は不明点が多く、曖昧で考察にゆだねるストーリーかと思っていましたが、章が進むにつれて話の真相まで近づいていきかなり面白かったです（分からない部分も多いですが…）

8bit風ピクセルアートながら、豊富に差し込まれるロトスコープアニメーション（実写をトレースした映像）によりビジュアル面もリッチな印象でした。
予想外の箇所に分岐やイベントがあり、手探りで探索するのが楽しかったです。

日本語音声は賛否あるようですが、字幕のない台詞も分かったりする（※分からなかったりもする）ので個人的には日本語で遊んでよかったです。
一部の攻略で、[spoiler]音声が分からないと進みにくい[/spoiler]箇所があります。
日本語翻訳の文章も丁寧で雰囲気があり良かったです。

演出がうまく、8bit風な描写ながら没入感があり結構怖かったです。
リアル描写のホラーゲームは苦手で、本作はびっり要素もそこそこあるのですが、レトロな描写だったからか何とかクリアできました。

全EDとメモを回収、サバイバルモードも挑戦して20時間ほどでした。かなり歩き回ったので余計に時間がかかっていると思います。
セーブスロットが一つのみのため周回に時間がかかる印象です。
覚えゲーなのでゲームが下手でも何度も挑戦すればクリアはできます。
全実績解除の難易度は高く、最後の実績の解除には道のりは遠そうです。

レトロ風ゆえに不便な点も多く人を選ぶかもしれませんが、ストアページの雰囲気に惹かれた方は、その期待に応えてくれると思うのでぜひプレイしてみてほしいです。

Наверно, я немного глупенький, ибо с самого начала, когда я увидел скриншоты этой игры в 2023 году, то я думал, что история будет про какие-то старые убийства и мы всё это будем расследовать, играя за полицейского в отставке и…
С чего я это вообще решил?
Если честно, то не знаю.
В общем, по сравнению с этой игрой «Битва Экстрасенсов» засунула себе блок сигарет во все отверстия и жёстко смолит.

С самой первой локации я возненавидел разработчиков, хотя надо было всего лишь посмотреть в зеркало и пройти обучение.
Проблема в том, что когда на меня бежала бабайка, то я пытался от неё убежать и временами это получалось, хотя просто-напросто нужно было достать из широких штанин крест и направить его на нечисть.
Всё было слишком просто, но я решил себе зачем-то это усложнить и найти виноватого.
Впрочем, как всегда!
Разумеется, после жить стало лучше и вздохнув полной грудью я самостоятельно завершил первый эпизод на все 5 концовок.
Это было не трудно, но это же был первый эпизод всего лишь?
Кстати, я только сейчас понял, почему в игре три эпизода…
Ну да ладно…

Второй эпизод тоже получился прекрасным и крутым, но до получения некоторых достижений или последовательностей действий самостоятельно не догадался и пришлось лезть в руководства.
Дело даже не в ачивках, а в том, чтобы временами понять правильно ли всё делаешь, если что-то не получается?
К примеру, я очень легко получил достижение в 100 смертей, когда проходил финал второго эпизода с летающей демонической монашкой.
По идее, Гарсия сказал, что мы должны его оберегать и хранить как зеницу ока, а значит, пускай он крестом машет, а мы его будем прикрывать.
Ладно, она летает вокруг, Гарсия направляет крест на нечистую, а я просто бегаю вокруг – ничего не получается.
Ладно, может мы должны тоже на неё крест направлять и всё будет хорошо? В какой-то момент монашка берёт и летит прямо в святого отца и убивает его, но по идее этого быть не должно. У нас же должна быть хорошая концовка?
В итоге, оказалось, что я, опять же, тупой как не в себя, ведь монашку и надо было вдвоём окучивать, чтобы она упокоилась, а когда она летит убивать Гарсию, то и тогда же надо было направлять на неё крест.
Сбивчиво, непонятно, но именно таким и было моё прохождение.

Третий эпизод у меня и соки, и жидкости, и всё что вообще возможно высосать высосал.
Одни катания на лифте чего стоили.
На момент написания обзора я ещё не прошёл данный эпизод на лучшую концовку и я думаю, что буду просто офигевать от происходящего на экране.
Почему?
Потому что в нейтральной концовке и Джон, и Гарсия запечатывают зло до поры, до времени, в отрицательной – Джона убивают, а в самой лучшей, я так подозреваю, зло предстоит победить и хватит ли у меня на это всё сил?
Совершенно не представляю.

По поводу музыкального сопровождения вопросов не имеется, ибо саундтрек очень крутой и жуткий.
Но особенно мне понравилась композиция под названием «The Waking World».
В некоторых играх все саундтреки хорошие, но одна какая-то конкретная «аудиодорожка» за моё ухо всё равно цепляется больше.

По поводу озвучки – гениальнейшее решение.
Думаю, что идею разработчик подчерпнул из Каталога Манделы, но это лишь мои домыслы.
Однако, данный ход пошёл игре на пользу, так как искусственный роботизированный голос, который по идее звучит от лица живого человека – страшное дело.
А уж когда таким голосом говорит бесноватый и к тому же на латыни…
Тут точно не прогадали.

Несмотря на то, что временами игра относится к игроку несправедливо из-за сохранений, смертей и прочих вещей, это очень интересная история с неплохим сюжетом, хорошей мотивацией главного героя спасти мир, качественными скримерами и различными пугалками, которые не всегда орут в лицо.

I get what this game is trying to accomplish, however, I think going back to Atari 2600 Graphics is pushing the whole retro thing too far. The music is HORRIBLE. Like constant static in your ears. You start off with just one weapon (a cross).....I don't know if you get more eventually, because honestly, I'll never play this game again. I usually don't consider graphics when judging a game, but this is too much and the music is an absolute deal breaker. I'm glad I got it for $1

Very good enviroment and story, so many characters to enjoy and the bossfights, even if short can be a challenge, the animations are very nice too and i definetly recommend for anyone who likes cult-like stories!!! It has a nice deep lore that it's fun to discover piece for piece while you play as John , learn his past as well while we also see what made him be there.

This is the scariest horror game I have ever played and it will probably stay like that for years. This game is amazing. I love the story and the 8-bit style graphics. My favorite part is having multiple endings for each chapter, its creative and fun to experience. I wish this game could get a DLC or smth but i'm happy I got to play it.

This game consists of two equally important components: (1) Untimed wandering around in a somewhat maze‑like environment finding points of interest and revealing pages of text that tell the above-average storyline from various perspectives and time points. (2) Careful memorization of movement patterns of one‑hit‑kill monsters, so that you can survive long enough to wear them down with your “attack.”

In short, you have two relatively different aspects, one that conveys the story and the other that makes it count as a game. In the first of the three chapters these two aspects were relatively well balanced, and I enjoyed the game overall. But by chapter 2 “gameplay” became maddening; not really interestingly different from the first chapter except harder, with so many one‑hit kills. The storyline continued to be enjoyable but not enjoyable enough, thank you very much. I was not tempted to try chapter three, despite the good writing.

The game also leans very heavily on retro vibes. Although it doesn’t try to recreate any particular era or system, it feels very much like a mid‑ to early‑80s computer gaming homage. This is definitely part of its charm. If you’re not into that sort of thing, my already fairly weak recommendation flips to negative.

This is the sort of game that would really benefit from a baby mode. AKA don’t hurt me, I’m too young to die, or don’t make me work for it. It would be as simple as giving you more than one hit before you die, for instance. I don’t understand why developers insist that a single difficulty level is ideal for everybody’s skill and interest level.

Não dei muita bola a esse jogo no começo e acabei ficando entediado nos primeiros 30 minutos. Mas, depois que comecei a entender melhor a mecânica da cruz e a forma “certa” de jogar, minha experiência mudou bastante. O jogo passou a me prender e fiquei bem mais envolvido.

Mesmo tendo jogado por menos de duas horas, já consigo dizer que é uma experiência muito interessante. A maneira de como o sistema de combate funciona e as boss fights são bem feitas. Além disso, a lore é curiosa e dá vontade de continuar jogando para entender melhor o que está acontecendo.

No geral, foi uma surpresa positiva. Recomendo.

Faith - одна из моих самых любимых игр. Она понравится и закоренелым христианам, и атеистам. Музыкальное сопровождение тоже прекрасное, добавляет атмосферы.

Of all horror games I've played, this one just gives me chills down my spine the whole time. Sometimes, I feel as if I'm helpless, while other horror games follow a simple format where it seems more semi-predictable- not this one though. 9/10 experience, would highly recommend.

Faith, The Unholy Trinity.
My breakdown. This game present itself as a stylistic, dramatic, and extreme 2-d 8bit masterpiece. From the cover alone, you can tell you're in for a ride. Each chapter of the unholy trininty presents itself in an increasing development of care and effort put in by an amazing dev team. The game is genuinely horrifying in some parts a fact, which as a avid fan of the horror series, am vividly surprised by. I opted to attempt an 100% the third chapter in my initial run, something I would very much recommend. I'm sure you've seen some of the footage or one of the youtube videos from this game, and I will say it pairs nothing to the atmosphere that this game produces. It begins slow; but akin to a stream, it erodes any safety, security, and faith you have that you will be able overcome such a nightmare. This is a game I'd recommend to anyone, with your headphones on max and your lights turned off, but even without such help you can feel the atmosphere just by watching the game.

Overall: 10/10, I wish this game was longer.
