Every game in the Escape First series has been better than the last, and this is the first one that I would say is more good than bad. It still has the same problems as its predecessors (especially the awkward controls and the lack of inventory system for items you find). Items you drop still have a bad habit of falling through the map, needing all the items to be reset, and others clip very poorly when dropped onto surfaces making them difficult to see or find again.

The level design is much improved, as a lot of the previous games had too small rooms with very little space to explore. This game has gone a bit too far in the other direction, providing large expanses to search for the one small item you actually need in it. It's definitely better than previous titles though. The actual setting and atmosphere of the new levels are great, even if the first one did feel very much like it had been lifted straight from Phasmophobia.

There are still awkward puzzles, with multiple clues that link together in a way that is never completely adequately explained. There were far fewer times that i was completely stumped by a puzzle though, and none of the puzzles were either broken or completely nonsensical when you knew what the answer was.

The flashlight could definitely be improved, as I felt that it made basically no difference to my visibility at times. The Hint system properly worked for me for the first time ever, which I was very grateful for. I think the series is steadily improving to the point that I'm looking forward to the next game in the series

I bought this game for myself and 2 other people who I was going to play it with. I was in VR, they were on desktops. we went into it saying, ok, the mixed reviews are because the game is not very re-playable, it has 3 maps. We looked at it as if we found someplace in the city we would go to and have an escape room experience, surly they would charge more but anyway to the review.

We loved this game! the challenges were done very well, each map left us feeling like we accomplished a lot.
As a party game this killed it, we had a great time and spent maybe an hour and a half per map, I wasnt pulling my weight. I spent most of my time drinking a glass of wine while my two leading ladies solved most of the challenges as they are awesome at doing such things.

Here's a more technical break down. There are quite a few glitches, we had to work through some logistics with the VR player holding things they had touched and placed. Sometimes when another person was solving a puzzle the pieces would randomly popup in the VR players hands. We worked through this eventually but it did slow us down as the VR player had to solve those particular puzzles that this glitch happened on. There was about one of those puzzles per map that this would happen on. By the third map the vr player learned they could grab the glitching pieces and pull them out like thorns to drop for other players.

There is also some clipping issues where items like keys would fall into objects, like a wall or piece of wood. we would reach into the object, to get the item back but there was no visual just random guessing at the last location.

We worked through any glitches we found and none of the glitches were game ending, it was just a bit more difficult to work through.

In the end I would recommend this to anyone looking to have a great time with some friends. Have a great time solving the puzzles. Im going to maybe look at buying games one and two for the three of us, Ill let you know how that goes.

El juego me ha encantado. Se nota una mejora con respecto a las primeras entregas y las 3 historias son de 10, sobretodo el segundo mapa. Recomendaría hacer primero el último (la mansión con dinero), luego el primero (la escuela) y por último el segundo puesto (sobre demonios y magia). Pero ojo, hay un error, el texto introductorio de la historia del 2º escenario corresponde al 3º y viceversa (es decir, el segundo escenario realmente es el del objeto mágico, y el 3er escenario es el de la mansión con el dinero, pero las historias debajo de ellos en el lobby no coinciden), lo digo para que así sepáis a que jugáis jajajaj

Das Spiel sieht vielversprechend aus. Leider werden die VR Controller nicht richtig unterstützt, so dass keine Bewegung möglich ist. Getestet mit Oculus Rift und HP Reverb G2. Die einzige mögliche Aktion ist das Öffnen und schließen des Menus. Items auswählen geht aber schon nicht mehr. Und die Taschenlampe geht.

Potrebbe essere un bellissimo gioco di escape se non avesse un grosso problema: non permette salvataggi intermedi.
Non si può restare a giocare per ore, costretti a concludere il gioco per ogni stanza.
E non si può ricominciare da capo una stanza solo perchè non ho avuto il tempo di concluderla.
Veramente deludente da questo punto di vista. Poteva costare qualcosa di più, ma permettere i salvataggi rapidi.

I've played the 2 first game of this serie, they are basically the same. No gameplay improvement, same incorrect translation in menu (in french at least).
Stories could be good if elements were adapted to it, not dropped in the place for unknown reason. Some puzzles are good, others are absolute non-sense or unlogical so you have to do random tries. Hints are pretty useless in this episod.
We had to do many items reset (no VR).
What about improving graphics and textures ?

A good point for audio which is pretty cool.

This could be ok for your first game, not for the 3rd.

We generally really enjoyed the game but we hat huge peoblems regarding bugs!! We were a party of 3 and did the chair riddle, where they had to face a certain direction. We got into an argument because I said my chair is facing front, friend one said its facing back, and friend two said its facing right. Turns out, all of us were correct because for some reason the game displayed the room differently for all of us which made the riddle unsolvable! and in the end, when the bookshelve opens friend one saw it open and went through, I didnt see it open, but just ghost ran thrugh the shelve, but friend two got stuck in the wall. Super fun concept, but very frustrating and at times unplayable. Very dissapointed because the premise and riddles themselves were fun...

Very fun, especially when played as a group / in competition with each other. There are a couple of bugs we've run in to that caused us to spend way too long solving a puzzle but for the price the game it's not too bad. Quality puzzles, best played with friends, would recommend.

Played 10 hours but could have finished sooner if there had a been a save function. Not crazy about no saves but minor in providing review. Game was well thought out and was seamless in plot. The puzzles themselves can be tricky, which is definitely a good thing. But the game itself is super wonky. There were many times where I would pick up an item(mouse-keyboard here, friends had VR) and then it would almost instantly teleport to one of my friends hands. My friends would sometimes have over 3 items in their hands and even though the puzzles were tricky by themselves it wasn't interactive enough for more than 2 people, even though the lobby can have up to 6. We beat the whole game in under 3 hours(as you can see from my playtime) which includes getting all but one of the achievements(which are generally progression badges anyways).

So Pros/Cons

+Decent challenge for 1-2 people
+Ambient sounds are good
-Any more than 2 isn't fun
-Items teleport out of hands frequently
-Item manipulation is poor
-Not enough maps/content

Realmente es un juego que tiene muchos bugs. Muchas veces cuesta coger un objeto o resolver algún puzle porque no se muestra alguna cosa importante. De hecho, puede ser que tanto tú como tus compañeros veáis cosas diferentes.

Aun así, se aprecia el esfuerzo, el juego está muy bien conseguido y, por el precio que tiene, las horas de diversión están aseguradas.

Not really worth the money, honestly. It's got some game crashing bugs on the second map, me and the second player had to restart a couple of times to be able to bypass them. It's a short game too, and some so called puzzles aren't really puzzles as much as the point-and-click trope of trying everything on everything until you stumble across the correct combination.

De todas las entregas de Escape First, esta es la que más me ha gustado, aunque es verdad que tiene bastantes bugs y los objetos a veces se pierden dentro las texturas, y que también son acertijos bastante fáciles y que se repiten bastante, es un juego que visualmente es precioso y que jugando con amigos (que a veces se bugean y no podes verlos) se disfruta mucho, mucho más.
De los tres juegos que han sacado con este título, es el más básico y que por eso recomiendo jugar primero como si fuese una introducción a los otros dos, y para ir subiendo la dificultad con ellos.

Por mi parte me ha encantado, soy muy fan de este tipo de juegos, he jugado a todos los juegos que esta empresa indie ha sacado, y estoy esperando con muchas ansias una nueva entrega♥

¿OnSkull? bueno esta es la quinta reseña que escribo sobre ellos, hacen juegos de RV orientados principalmente a los escape rooms.

Si jugaste los otros Escape First (1 y 2) te darás cuenta de la evolución que ha tenido el juego en 2 años, esta vez Escape First 3 mejora los gráficos y la jugabilidad (se siguen perdiendo objetos pero hay un botón de reset items que es clave)

Un punto de discordia: la historia. La historia de cada una de las salas ha ido mejorando (puedes pensar que Escape First 1 es un conjunto de puzzles, este se esfuerza mucho más por establecer una historia) pero aún así, le falta coherencia a la historia, además de que el final de cada sala sigue siendo anticlimático.

Temporalmente, Escape First 3 viene después de Curious Case (si te gustó este juego, te recomiendo Curious Case) y uno ve como se va consolidando el juego.

Compralo si está en descuento, juegalo si o si con amigos para asegurar las risas y piensa un poco sin pedir pistas que esa es la idea ;)

Espero que algún día salga Escape First 4 y sea el juego de escape room perfecto, que tuvieron muchos de prueba y error.

You know, OnSkull generally seems to be getting better with each set of escape rooms it releases. I still have no interest in the competitive aspect of the game, but luckily, the rooms are very satisfying when played cooperatively as well.

I enjoyed the Abandoned School environment, and the little tale that was told through it's puzzles. The only irritating part was actually finding all of the books necessary to complete one of the first puzzles. There are TONS of books in the opening room, so actually finding the ones you need can be like finding a needle in a haystack.

The Keep of Lost Souls was likely my least favorite of the rooms, but I still had a good time with it. I found it pretty unintuitive to use the hatchet on the lock towards the beginning, as the vast majority of locks within OnSkull's rooms cannot be opened with brute force. I also had trouble locating the small stick needed to complete one of the puzzles about halfway through the room - it blends in quite well with the "torture table" it's lying on.

The last room, The Secret Inheritance, was probably my favorite. Although it was a little short, the environment is intricately designed and satisfying to move through. Most importantly, it's puzzles are intuitive - my co-op partner and I didn't feel like any of these solutions were a "stretch."

I honestly don't understand why exactly this one currently has "mixed" reviews. Perhaps the competitive aspect of it (which I have no knowledge of) was unbalanced or buggy? If you've enjoyed any of OnSkull's escape rooms, you'll enjoy these as well.

Hab das Spiel nach kurzer Zeit zurückgegeben.
Für ein Rätselspiel zu undurchsichtig und nicht nachvollziehbare Lösungswege.
Die Rätsel bauen nicht aufeinander auf und weisen einem den Weg. Vielmehr löst man mehrere kleine Minirätsel und man probiert einfach solange verschiedene Möglichkeiten, bis eine funktioniert. Dann stellt man sich die Frage warum es diese Lösung war und geht frustriert zum nächsten.

Wer wirklich ein nettes Räselspiel sucht meidet besser Spiele von OnSkull Games. Denn seit Teil 1 macht diese Art einfach keinen Spaß. Der Entwickler lernt aus seinen Fehlern nicht und Klatscht einfach einen Teil nach dem anderen raus, ohne etwas Liebe in ein Genre zu stecken, welches meiner Meinung nach echt potential hätte.

Wer wirklich ein befriedigenden Rätselabend haben möchte, sollte sich die "We were here" Reihe ansehen. Der erste Teil ist kostenlos auf Steam erhältlich. Dort ist der Frustfaktor deutlich geringer und man ist einfach glücklich wenn man ein Rätsel mit logischem Denken gelöst hat.

The game was incredibly buggy. The controls are not intuitive or easy to use at all, items would constantly disappear on our group and resetting had no effect, and we ended up giving up after an hour because we were so frustrated with it. I shouldn't be fighting the game just to make progress.

En general los niveles son más amplios y, al menos en la [i]escuela abandonada[/i], está pensado para que (en multiplayer) uno resuelva un puzzle mientras el otro está con lo suyo en otra aula (tal vez hasta cuatro al mismo tiempo). Lástima que siempre hay algún [i]bug[/i] que la caga --> [b]¡Tienen que revisar esto![/b] Por favor... le dediqué mucho tiempo a girar los sofás en el último [i]room[/i], además de ser muy pobre la pista con respecto a las posibilidades de girarlos, me di cuenta que la primera vez estaba roto el juego...
Luego de esto, que es una lástima, lo recomiendo.
El nivel 1 y 2 los jugué sin problemas.

Wir spielen in einem dreiköpfigen Team jedes Escape-Spiel von OnSkull. Ab und an sind die Level aus denen man entkommen muss etwas einfach, ab und an verhältnismäßig schwer aber im Mittel passt es meistens sehr gut. Die Qualität der einzelnen Level schwankt ebenfalls stark. Z.B. ist unserer Meinung nach der Erste aus Escape First 3 nicht so gut, wohingegen Nummer 2 besser wird und Nummer 3 dann die Qualität hat, die wir mittlerweile von Escape First erwarten.

Ein gelungener dritter Teil, der sein Geld definitiv wert ist, aber nur durch den dritten Level.
Am besten spielt es sich mit mehreren Leuten, die zusammen als Team rätseln.

Was uns alle gestört hat ist, dass man Umrisse von Gegenständen schon vorher sieht. Beispielsweise zeigt man mit der Maus auf ein Türschloss und es wird einem angezeigt, dass man einen Ditrich zum öffnen der Tür benutzen muss.
Hier wäre es schön, wenn man keinen derartigen Tipp bekommt.

@Onskull, macht bitte mehr Level, gerne auch als DLC. Sobald ihr drei Level fertig habt, bringt ihr diese einfach als neues Spiel raus. Somit bekommen die Spieler regelmäßig spielbaren Inhalt für zwischendurch.

No recomendado, he jugado la primera misión con un amigo y nos ha parecido de lo más pobre y poco trabajado que te puedas imaginar: acertijos poco trabajados (muchos de ellos sin sentido alguno), espacios grandes sin contenido, objetos que no sirven para nada, sin sensación de progreso, traducciones macarrónicas, un acabado técnico nada profesional; hay juegos Indies que le dan mil patadas en todos los aspectos.

Puede resultar entretenido, no lo niego, pero la experiencia global no resulta satisfactoria; están sacando estos juegos uno detrás del otro como churros, una máquina de ganar dinero a costa de productos mediocres en los que no hay ni una pizca de cariño.

Una lástima, reembolso solicitado.

Well, in the Manor in the second room there's a bug. If you can solve the puzzle with those pitures without needing to solve the puzzle with chairs first, then you won't be able to further and will have to re-roll the game which suks. all in all really like these types of games. bit short this time, a longer room would be much appreciated ;)

但玩的时候发现里面的线索考验的的不是逻辑思维能力
基本就是满图找对主线剧情没有贡献的小东西然后就能走出去。
甚至很多迷不解开都能走出去。
古堡还经常卡出bug，重设东西都没用，需要重新开才能通。
进去之后也没有找到说明，敲便了键盘才知道怎么放大东西
没有vr的话不建议玩，晕3D的也不建议玩
然后里面的人物模型还贼恐怖
玩的时候不是被朋友的人模吓到就是被卡到口吐芬芳

Ein Room Escape für den PC mit seinen Freunden zu spielen, ist eine tolle Idee.

Technisch ist das Spiel eine absolute Katastrophe. Mir egal wie groß das Entwicklerteam ist und welche finanzielle Mittel man für die Entwicklung des Spiels zur Verfügung hatte. Man kriegt durch die inkonsistente fps / Lags Kopfschmerzen und eine Art Motion Sickness. Die Optionen für die Grafik wie "999 FPS" sind absolut unnütz.

Das ganze Game ist in 2-3 Stunden durchgespielt und die einzelnen Level besitzen keine einzigartigen Rätsel. Alles ist sehr ähnlich. Symbole hier, Farben da - eine gemeinsame Reihenfolge der Anordnung. Nächster Raum leicht andere Symbole - gleiche Anordnung.
Alles ist mehr gezwungen als gelungen. Es wird in vielen Elementen ein Zeitspiel aus dem ganzen Game statt ein Puzzlen. Gegenstände müssen gesucht werden und sind so unnötig ohne puzzlehafte Herausforderung einfach versteckt - weil die Gegenstände selbst kaum in der Spielwelt zu erkennen sind (zu klein, etc.). Spart euch das Geld und spielt das Free2Play von dem gleichen Entwickler. Traurig, dass das Free2Play anscheinend deutlich besser ist, als die Kaufvariante.

If you're a fan of escape the room games all the different deliveries by Onskull Games are very recommended. The Escape First saga is one of their best. Technically speaking all of them have problems, repeated with each delivery, like objects clipping through other objects and surfaces, free locomotion which is incredibly slow and sometimes does not work, strange configurations for the controls (on Index at least), the scale is totally off sometimes, etc, nothing that you can't forgive or solve by resetting objects, though.

Despite those problems, 3 different levels, each with its own different rooms is amazing value for the price. There's some illogical puzzles here and there but they are quite rare and most of the time when you can't solve something it is your own fault, the way it should be.

PROS:
- Great value at an unbeatable price
- Very good and logical puzzles
- Some background story in some of the levels, which is nice
- Nice design (though technically flawed in certain aspects)

CONS
- Lots of clipping and lack of collision detection
- Free locomotion is so slow that it is unusable (teleport works well)
- No other languages but English
- Interaction with objects is a bit clunky

Overall an excellent and very recommended Escape the Room game, with some technical flaws but very enjoyable nonetheless.

和朋友三关都全通了，谜题怎么说呢通了之后想想都比较简单，无非就是找东西，线索解密，但是就偏偏容易卡在一个点上解不出来，古堡那关解密的时候有bug，成功之后不触发机关，还要退出重新开一局游戏才行，应该不是我和朋友的原因吧，学校那关最后翻译容易内容连接不起来，可能英文会好点，希望后面能再出点图

I would love to play this game but I have no idea what button to push for any action I want to take. There are literally no instructions or guides so you just push any button and hope something works. I have just spent the most boring 28 mins of my life pressing all the buttons on my keyboard just to see what works. God knows what people see in this thing. Another £5 wasted. I suggest you look elsewhere.

Nous adorons ces jeux. Des heures de plaisir à très bon prix. Comme toujours, les décors sont magnifiques, l'ambiance épeurant mais sans faire de sauts (très apprécié!). Le deux était décevant car un tas de bugs et puzzles pas toujours logiques. De retour en force avec ce troisième malgré certains petits problèmes du genre ne pas avoir accès aux indices. Globalement très apprécié, on attend le quatrième avec impatience.

我玩了游戏这么多年，这是第一款让我晕的游戏，以后我再也不能说我从来没晕过3D了；
游戏bug真的挺多，物品扔到地上会自己长腿跑了，跑到墙里你就可以重开了；
解谜本身不是很难，但有的房间明显滥竽充数，为了解谜而解谜；
让人不可思议的是，这都已经是第三代了，就不能再用点心吗

I bought this since i tried OnSkulls free Escape room, where as the free game was more limited and fun, and much more focused giving you very few things to possibly confuse you, this was nothing but confusion and non sensical.
I cannot recommend this what so ever, even at the low price it's at. Unfortunately this game just wasn't very well made and ultimately dissappointed hugely...

Absolutely boring escape room game with many bugs and NO INSTRUCTIONS on how to play in the different modes.

Heck, took me over 30 minutes to figure out how to start the game. Had to go and google search...How do U start the game. WHy do Devs develop games and assume that everyone knows how to start and play in the different modes without instructions as part of the game start. I sent a message to the devs days ago about adding instruction guides to playing solo, coop, etc. They acknowledged that it is probably a good idea, but to date NO INSTRUCTIONS.

Don't waste your money and time with this game. There are much better escape games that are more challenging, much more fun, and run better...like The Escaper. Not only are the puzzles in this game a mystery with no hints that make sense but also serve no function other than being a red herring.

Very disappointed in this game...and I am through buying games from ONSKULL GAMES....not a good track record. Sorry, not trying to be mean or rude, just honest as it does involve spending money, regardless of how much.

Enjoyable game. The first and third room I feel are the strongest. I didn't run into much trouble with the first room, the second room I had trouble following the logic towards the end there. Maybe it all makes sense and I just grew impatient, I don't know, just couldn't figure it out. The third room was enjoyable too, everything fell into place quite easy. The book puzzle I think glitched a bit for me, it wouldn't work despite putting in the correct sequence, but after clicking a bit around it just suddenly opened. Either way, the value compared to the price is good.

6个小时才把废弃的学校和网友entance一起通关了，我都懵了，这个游戏现在不错优化了很多，尤其是什么什么and什么in the dark，这个卡了1个小时，最后关掉游戏疯狂想57两横，7三横是啥意思才过，房间非常多，值得一提的是还可以弹钢琴，彩蛋也很不多，剩下两个过几天在玩。。。。太难了。

最后，通关只想说我是傻逼。

This mockery of video game is horrendous... Not like spooky or something, but gameplay is just lame. This is designed for maximum of six players, but it starts lagging very quickly when running with full stack. Glitches are common and you can get stuck between props.

I do not recommend this game. Period.

Another great co-op escape room game from OnSkull, a genre they are carrying on their shoulders and I wish we had more of. Graphics and world building are much improved compared to previous games. Playing and getting all of the achievements took my group around 4 hours. Devs are very caring, helping my group when we got stuck - fixing a bug within 20 minutes of us reporting.

Excellent value for money and you can't go wrong if you like puzzles/escape rooms.

Having played previous titles from this studio I can safely say that world building has taken even larger steps into a better direction.

- The maps are significantly larger, immersive and cohesive.

- The plot of each level is unique and has just enough information so that it is neither exhaustive nor shallow.

- The textures are beautifully rendered and all interactable objects play some role in the puzzle solving/ story telling aspect of the game.

Not to mention, 5£ is a great price for 3 hour long levels that have the required replayability and atmosphere to comprise a fun game to play with your friends!

I played it solo so it took me over an hour to finish it :/ maybe because I've never played an escape room before (even irl)
I enjoyed it a lot and was really fun though
During these days of quarantine it was a great "escape" for me and since it is multiplayer later I'll play it with some friends online
