"Das Mitleid ist der Gegensatz der tonischen Empfindungen, welche die Energie des Lebensgefühls erhöhen: es wirkt depressiv. Man verliert Kraft, wenn man mitleidet."
This game has a very simple message. So simple in fact, that I feel like a child to whom the values of Christian morality are being explained in a rather patronizing tone.
Story premise is nonsensical and infantile as well. Why would McDade, Bruton & Moore make some errand boy their partner, even though all he did as far as player knows: just ran some basic errands? All I had left to do is guess that Price is actually a talented lawyer and that actual reasons for promotion were just left off-screen, and what we saw in game was merely a test of his ruthlessness. Also, how did he, as a partner, of an assumingly successful law firm stayed broke after few years of working there. Did they only promoted him, because he was working hard in the information sphere, but still too stupid to realize he should get a raise along with his new position too? Did Price just gave all of his money to charity, [spoiler]once he grew hateful towards himself[/spoiler]? There are many plot holes (huge ones to my concern) which just make story unbelievable.
The message is not only simple, but also worthless. Why should I sympathize with people who are evicted, because they have broken the law? Developer is obviously trying to squeeze out pity from the player, when it is said that Mrs. Goodwin fell and could not get up, but in a special institution she has more chances of living longer than alone, even at her home. Why doesn’t she have any relatives to look after her? It is the main reason for having children. That when you are old and useless - they would take care of you, out of a sense of duty.
Style of the game is OK, though.

Довольно приятная игра, рассказывающая историю о цене совести и человечности. Играть интересно, смысл понятный и простой, сюжет не уходит в психологические дебри, за основу конкретно взята одна тема, которая хорошо раскрывается. Головоломки понятные и проходятся достаточно легко, единственное немного напрягает эпизод с грибами. Красивый визуальный стиль, звуки, ну и собственно в целом атмосфера. Проходится очень быстро, как и вторая часть, обожаю такие короткие проекты, сделанные с душой. Советую.

简而言之，一款立意深刻且足够压抑的2D心理恐怖解谜游戏，奇诡的画风、电影式噪点、裁边式画面、压抑的音效、惊悚的音乐，我只能说氛围塑造可谓是这款游戏最大的优点了，喜欢微恐的可以一试。

除了出色的氛围塑造外，其剧情也具备深度，主角普莱斯在为了升职而强制收回老人财产后，那份逐渐侵蚀心灵的愧疚与绝望真的油然而生、扑面而来。我尤其喜欢“房间里的大象”这一隐喻，将主角的心理挣扎具象化，探讨了人性、良知与金钱的沉重主题，初见极具震撼力。

然而，这款游戏的短板也较为明显。解谜设计过于简单枯燥，大部分谜题缺乏挑战性和创造力，更像是为了推动剧情而设置的走过场。此外，游戏过度依赖“跳杀” 来制造恐怖感，手法略显单一，初见的确能制造不错的惊悚效果，但整局如此便有些乏味了；另外琼斯先生的小屋（蘑菇图）缺乏指引，极其容易迷路，破坏了叙事的节奏感。

I don't have too much to say about this one, it didn't grip me at all and it's scary moments were really just loud noises combined with scary images here and there, the atmosphere of the game doesn't really get to you as all you're doing is moving left and right solving a very easy puzzle and onto the next part, it's a very simple game that can be beat in one sitting, but honestly i couldn't recommend this to people, there are better games out there to be played.

A comedically dark Kafkaesque story about a landlord tethered to an adventure game with puzzles that range from great to pointless. This game actually might have worked better if the horror elements were totally removed because it works better in its sinisterly melodramatic ironic moments. The story is probably the best one this developer has come up with and it's very unique on its own merits.

While the ambiance is mesmerizing for such a simple game there are of course the really stupid "pick up item and put it here" puzzles introduced with little thought so you can solve them by accident half the time. Then there are some other puzzles with more layers to them, like one near the end of the game that has you getting drugged on mushrooms to clear barriers and find key items. While I wish the whole game was full of more careful puzzle solving, it doesn't change the fact that this is really well made for what it is, but you will have to see past the so-so graphics to get to the good parts.

DISTRAINT: Deluxe Edition is the kind of game that hits you square in the gut and makes you feel bad in the best possible way: it doesn't rely on monsters jumping on you, but on a super oppressive atmosphere and a sound that gives you chills, all to show you how the main character, Price, goes crazy with guilt after evacuating an old woman. The Steam community praises it heavily because, although it's short (you can finish it in about two hours, about the same as a movie), the story is so dense and the ending so brutal that you'll be stuck at the monitor wondering what you would have done in his place; it's a "dirty" and brilliant pixel-art that proves that you don't need 4K graphics to convey pure anxiety, being a must-play if you want something that makes your mind work, not just press buttons chaotically.

Не понимаю как за какие то 3 часа можно было вызвать столько эмоций. В начале показалось что это простенькая история, пиксели все дела. А потом чувствую что уже не по себе, Давит.
Игра про чувства, мораль и выбор. Сильно бьет.

Короткая, грустная история про то, как легко потерять себя, когда сильно хочется денег и статуса. Проходится за несколько часов, но оставляет странное щемящее чувство, то ли грусть, то ли тревогу. 我很喜欢它的叙事方式：短、直接，但不轻。

我永远都忘不了第一次玩，在老太太家里拜访结束时，一路走回到房间尽头发现刚微笑道别完的老太太正坐在椅子上偷偷哭的场景，那时候画面是整个屏幕，视角还很狭窄，我不走到某处便看不见那里有什么，我为这巧思带来的演出感所惊颤。等我再补票玩这游戏时已是重置版，视角绵长，从左到右，走到房间的一半便能放眼收尽另一边是什么，再玩到相同剧情时我感到乏味，老太太直接从我脸上走至角落的凳子坐下哭了起来，整个过程尽收眼底，这是一种比起记忆剧透更无力更失望的乏味感。
游戏是好游戏。再无话说。

It's a very small game, reminds of experimental stuff I used to do with Flash. But given what it is, it is surprisingly deep, moody. Feels like something straight out of a Kafka novel, with a little bit of Artaud and Battaile thrown in. It's tiny, decided what it wanted to be, and it committed to it, no half measures.

Basically, you move from panel to panel, solving small puzzles, trying to figure out how to make your way thru an existential lunatic dream. Hoping you don't wake up as a giant cockroach, a'la Gregor Samsa.

Помню, в году так 2019-м или около того, по совету друга я скачал эту игру на телефон. Проходя в малом возрасте эта игра показалась мне крайне страшной, но отчего-то сильно интересной. Я не вчитывался больше необходимого, не запомнил сюжет от слова совсем, даже не понимал за кого играл, что делал. Зайдя сейчас, я узнал, что сюжет про человечность, точнее про продажу этой самой человечности ради успеха в компании. Это крайне грустная, короткая история. Рад, что снова смог в неё поиграть, правда жаль она уже не вызовет тех эмоций, что я испытал в прошлом.

2D adventure game with elements of psychological horror, in which you are a young man named Price facing the consequences of his actions as he robs people of their possessions

✅Good, engaging storyline and, for me, a surprising ending
✅Funny dialogues of our main character
✅There are often places where we can save the game
✅Dark, atmospheric mood – such games are the best
✅Good sound design and matching to the place where we are
✅The graphics are of good quality, with an artistic style that fits the atmosphere
✅Lots of different characters
✅Various puzzles of a good level
✅The price is good for the content

✅❌The controls are intuitive and smooth thanks to the classic point & click, i.e., you click where you want to go, and the character follows automatically (on the Steam Deck, it looked like I had to move with the Steam Deck's mushroom button), but limited to designated paths and the screen, without freedom or dynamic interactions

❌I think this game should have somewhere a description of what to do and what we are looking for at the moment
❌There is no option to run faster
❌In my opinion, there could be some short combat sequences here

可惜，看过再多听过再多，还是会被近在眼前的成功晃了眼。
两个半小时非常短的流程，但4块钱还要什么自行车。
一些走路模拟器有点无聊，可是突然的jump scare弥补了这一点：)
有的交互点不太好操作，导致吃菌子那段略有些红温。但瑕不掩瑜吧，还是值得花点时间玩的

É um jogo com bastante personalidade, esteticamente interessante, bastante imersivo. Só acrescentaria que quando você pensa que ele vai decolar, acaba. Acho que faz parte de jogos curtos do geral essa sensação, mas ele até que faz muito bem oq se propõe.

DISTRAINT est une expérience qui nous pousse à réfléchir sur l’empathie humaine et sur les répercussions de nos choix. Dans une société dominée par l’avidité et l’indifférence, le jeu nous rappelle que chaque acte a ses conséquences… et que le karma finit toujours par nous rattraper.

J’ai dû faire deux runs pour obtenir tous les succès, mais c’était finalement une excellente chose : cela m’a permis de remarquer des détails subtils présents dès le début de l’aventure, des sortes d’ellipses et d’indices que l’on ne peut vraiment comprendre qu’une fois la fin révélée.

Son style 2D horrifique, accompagné de musiques oppressantes, renforce parfaitement l’ambiance claustrophobe. Les bandes noires en haut et en bas de l’écran accentuent encore davantage ce sentiment d’enfermement et de malaise constant.

Une belle petite expérience que je recommande vivement, surtout si vous cherchez un jeu qui pousse à réfléchir et à se recentrer sur ce qui compte vraiment dans notre monde.

大部分的游玩时间都花在无聊的跑图上了，没有地图，极其容易迷路。角色走路还慢悠悠的。总体不算恐怖，只是时不时有东西跳出来吓你一跳，如果你没怎么接触过恐怖游戏想尝试一下，那花三块钱以及两个小时通关这款游戏还是挺不错的（我还是想说在一个注重氛围的恐怖游戏里把撬棍翻译成物理学圣剑真的好吗）

Concordo plenamente com as análises positivas!

Além do que já disseram, acho que Distraint tem o poder de mostrar para pessoas de fora do nicho que jogos de terror possuem um grande potencial para nos passar mensagens importantes e que incomodam.

É importante que fazer o que é errado nos incomode. Acho que histórias infantis eram contos de terror no passado por um motivo. E as atmosfera + música + puzzles + arte/direção de arte + história + controles + consequências trabalham esse incômodo legal, te fazendo pensar se realmente está vivendo a vida do jeito certo. Tratando as pessoas do jeito certo. Porque todo o dinheiro que tivermos nessa Terra irá embora quando morrermos.

Uma super cafeteira, um casa de luxo, o carro esportivo, os PC/Consoles de última geração, sua popularidade, seu emprego e todo o resto que é material: nada disso vai permanecer com você (vão ser de outros, ou simplesmente apodrecerão depois disso), nada disso vai te completar. Vaidade: tudo o que Price queria foi vazio no final. A conquista final de Price o levou à falta de propósito, que o levou à desesperança com vida, que o levou ao suicídio.

Por isso, tomem cuidado, amigos. Nem todos os caminhos que parecem certos pro homem levam à vida, mas sim à destruição do que faz você ser o que é... a um triste fim que, pode acreditar, não quer.
E é por isso que agradeço a Jesus por estar sempre mostrando meus erros, e as consequências da minha ganância/orgulho/covardia (como as de Price), e me dando ensinamentos para me tornar uma pessoa melhor. E, acima disso, uma pessoa que sabe que tem um propósito: amar o próximo com a si mesmo. A chave para a vida eterna no Paraíso é isso: não olhar apenas para o próprio umbigo, mas também para as pessoas que precisam de você. Amar como Jesus me amou, entregando a vida para nos salvar.

Através desse jogo, mais uma vez, Jesus me salvou.

游戏非常有深度，第一部讲述了，主人公受黑心老板命令和自己内心对升职的渴望，强迫三名可怜人离开他们的房子，强制回收房屋的故事。
随着故事的发展主人公了解到这些人的故事，内心开始不断挣扎，但出于升职的渴望和认为公司完全合法合规，仍然执行了命令。
可事实并非如此，最后主人公知道了是黑心老板欺骗了他们，而自己间接酿成了这些悲剧，主人公的内心不断自我谴责。
最后仿佛命运的无情嘲弄，在主人公离职后，有一个和当初主人公一样的年轻人来回收他的房子。他听完了主人公的故事，和当初的主人公一样传达了搬离的要求，而主人公也和当初离开的人一样结束了自己的生命。

This Game was really enjoyable!
It had some type of jumpscares that was enough for me to be extra careful in my moves.
But it also built this emotionally psycoligaly discomfort through the game, the story really gave me a great 2.4 hours of gameplay! well done!

很小体量的游戏，游戏内容就是体验整个故事，其中穿插一些非常简单的解密，因此好玩与否取决你这个故事是否吸引你。
大部分差评都是觉得故事无聊，这个见仁见智。个人而言，并不很能感动我，但也还算可以。
多用手持物做一些奇怪的举动，会触发一些幽默的台词，这一点上作者蛮用心的[spoiler] 比如用马桶水做咖啡[/spoiler]
画面配乐十分契合，氛围塑造到位，每次打开投屏玩npy都会说“这个开头好瘆人啊快关掉”
最大的缺点，部分关卡的跑图，角色没有加速，慢悠悠的。。。
总结：配得上几块钱售价和2h的时间，至于值不值，可以先体验下。
