Tried to do a YouTube let's play on this game, and aside from my microphone dipping in and out, I just gave up on Chicken Little after basically raging over the game. It's cute, and anyone who likes to play those old movie based video games might enjoy this. But my playthrough was awful. The controls and direction is janky, and you're left oblivious as to where to go or what controls you have. The controls especially got on my nerves. I didn't realize that I was able to turn the camera screen (using the numbered keys on the far right of my keyboard) until I got to one of the alien spaceship levels. And that was because I had to look it up on Google and YouTube. The game never told me I could do this! The game never told me that I could jump WHILE sliding down the metal pipes! The level on the spaceship where you have to prevent Runt from crashing into stuff had me nearly rage quit after thirty-five attempts. I don't know how anyone new could beat that level on their first try. You have to die in order to know what is coming up next because it doesn't give you enough time to react or register what's coming! That's not a good way to throw trial and error onto the players.

Again, if you like this game, more power to you. But I can't continue with this. I'm done. I'll post something else, like... Bolt. Idk.

One of the most mediocre games I have not only played but fully completed 100%. The cards you can collect can range from "literally right there" to "kinda outta the way". Unfortunately, you can only unlock cheats with this version. No multiplayer mini-games whatsoever. I will say I liked messing around with the driving levels powersliding all over the place like I'm playing Initial D and I also liked the spaceship levels but other than that, it was mostly a bore. If for whatever reason you wanna play this game, do so with friends so you can point and laugh at the in-engine cutscenes and wacky physics that can happen from time to time.

TL;DR
Absolute Mid. Best parts were the spaceship and driving levels and it's best enjoyed with friends watching you play.

If you're looking for some childhood flashbacks, then this is a good game to play. It is somewhat buggy from what little I've played so far. Reloading after dying does reduce your character models framerate quite a bit and you literally can't progress since other NPC's aren't reduced. A quick restart level fixes this, but still.

Now if only I could get Toy Story 2.

Sooooooooo meine Lieben Nostalgie Parasiten, wenn man ein Spiel rausbringt sollte man wenigstens dafür sorgen das der Charakter nicht in einer Art Valium Koma in der Luft hängen bleibt und damit die Zeit für einen Sprung auf ca. 2 Minuten erhöht. The PC port is completly busted if you play it vanilla without any fixes, you cant play it anymore because of an animation fps bug which makes the game unplayable after 1-2 mins. For the game itself its ok but rather meh, its the weakest Disney game i played so far here on steam. Update 31.01.2026 i also watched the movie for the first time and yeah, the movie is pretty meh just like the game meh/forgettable:

Pros:
+ some level design is solid mostly the 3d platformer levels
+ final boss is fine
+ you can find 5 collectiable cards in each map
+ there is a small driving car open world in a bit later part of the game where you do a few deliveries i found the physic weird/bad but funny in a good way
4-6 hours of gameplay (first half of the game is ok for what it is)
+ the spaceship fighter mini games are ok

Cons:
- the plot is fine but how the presentation it here is weird at times after a cutscene you are in a complete different place with the gameplay
- reused level design after you get into the UFO Station a second time its the same level just as a harder version except for the last room
- barely any enemy verarity, only 3 enemies in the whole game
- controls are a hit and miss like the main controls are fine but the baseball game dont worked with controller i had to do it with keyboard arrows. The Rails simular works similar to old 3D sonic games how to change rails but it feels even worse
- its odd we play as Abby only 1 map
- steam overlay dont work and you have to make a workaround to upload them on steam
- the second half after you get kidnapped at the aliens the games quality feels down
- dialoges itself compared to the Seuel is worse here and also that section its for the german version i play that the dialoges quality also feels a bit off at times, in the other game it was not
- the only bad thing about the spaceship fighter mini games are the shooting aim it feels odd at times
- the game have a crappy low draw distance with stupid high fog for no reason the console versions dont have that (but lucky you can fix it with mods)

Alteast i found a solution the fixes actually make the game playable, set 60 fps lock in nvidea control panel and and use Hex editior to change the resolution. The Sequel Ace in Action is much better and it maybe was also the best choice not to pair it with the movie than this game, the only thing that this game do better is the soundtrack. I gues if you like playing a lot of different 3D platformer games then this game is an ok grab but if not then ignore it but you have to be prepared to carry out some fixes first.

I did everything to make this game run and it did run well until I came across a bug I just couldn't fix. I downloaded the D3D8.dll fix for the framerate problem. I downloaded the fix for the draw distance problem. Then during the 'backyard pursuit' level the leaves I needed to jump onto just didn't spawn. Couldn't find a fix for it and so that's that. I give up. Not only is this game broken, it's unfixable.

Por se tratar de um game véio de PC lançado em 2005, não roda bem nos PC´s atuais. Tem muitos bugs chatinhos em que a maioria dá uma boa melhorada usando os mods do PCGamingWiki (tenham paciência pra entender como fazer funcionar), nao faz milagre, mas deixa minimamente jogável.
Eu comprei pois sou muito fã do filme (marcou demais minha infância), por isso resolvi dar uma chance, já que estava no precinho.
O maior ponto negativo da jogabilidade é a câmera, que por diversas vezes posiciona mal e mesmo podendo mover, não fica numa de um jeito legal.
E o maior ponto positivo do game é vir totalmente dublado, com as falas retiradas direto do filme, o que me deixou muito feliz quando descobri.
Recomendo pra quem tem um carinho especial pelo filme e no precinho.Na minha opinião, que merecia sim um remake (já que muitos games de plataforma andam recebendo), porém como geral acha o filme ruim (nunca entendi realmente porque), acredito que isso jamais acontecerá.
Ps.: Não recomendo ir buscar os 100%, você vai passar tanta raiva que não vai se divertir nada, vai cansar e desistir de jogar.

Ganhei esse jogo do meu namorado e fiquei [i]imediatamente[/i] emocionada — [i]Chicken Little[/i] foi um dos meus jogos favoritos da infância, e poder reviver isso depois de tantos anos é simplesmente mágico. 🐥✨
A sensação de nostalgia é surreal. Mesmo com os gráficos simples, o humor e o jeitinho caótico do galinho continuam encantadores. Me senti uma criança feliz de novo, especialmente chegando na parte da entrega do baby alien (amo demais!).

Porém… preciso ser sincera: [b]a versão da Steam é uma verdadeira prova de paciência[/b].
O jogo tem uma [b]otimização péssima[/b], e pra conseguir deixar ele jogável, tive que fazer várias gambiarras:

• Baixar arquivos [b].dll[/b] pra corrigir bugs que travavam o jogo inteiro (mal dava pra andar!).
• Substituir o arquivo [b]“data”[/b] pra diminuir a neblina absurda dos mapas.
• Lidar com um [b]launcher desnecessário[/b] e ultrapassado.
• E o pior: [b]sem suporte decente pra resoluções atuais[/b], o jogo roda numa janelinha minúscula, com bordas e qualidade baixíssima — mesmo configurando pra “muito alta”.

Além disso, ele é [b]muito mais jogável com controle[/b], mas não funciona direito com a “Entrada Steam”. Só consegui jogar desativando isso e abrindo o [b]DS4Windows[/b] pra ele reconhecer o controle.
Não consegui ajustar a resolução completamente porque exigia baixar programas demais, e sinceramente, não vale encher o PC pra isso.

Apesar de tudo isso, a [b]tradução em português[/b] é um ponto positivo e a nostalgia faz tudo valer a pena.
👉 [b]Mas atenção[/b]: o preço cheio (R$33) não compensa considerando todos esses problemas técnicos. O ideal é pegar em promoção, aí sim o custo-benefício faz sentido.

Então sim — [b]recomendo o jogo[/b], mas com a ressalva de que a Steam [i]precisa urgentemente corrigir esses problemas[/i] pra que mais jogadores possam curtir essa pequena joia da Disney sem precisar virar um técnico de TI no processo.

I really think this is a copy-cat of sonic adventure 2. because you play as random characters at random levels. and the vehicle segments are not even fun. there painful and hard to deal with. this game is so 11%. Don't you @#!% dare get me started on the crashes

Who could have thought that the midest Disney movie of all time (That i personaly have a lot of nostalgia for) could be adapted into a pretty decent albeit the most middle of the road full of fluff platformer with the kind of subpar and buggy PC port you could expect from a game from the early 2000s with no option for Fullscreen, having to lock the framerate to even play it properly on modern hardware and most bufilingly no Steam overlay. Same thing applies to the sequel too, like *WHY?!?* It's on Steam already so what's the big deal?

Putting the annoying issues with the PC port aside, i had a decent time playing through it, and If that's what you are looking for, a halfway decent PS2-era licenced platformer then you could do a lot worse.

Umbedingt spielen wenn man auf 3D-Platformer steht. Eins der besten Games aus meiner Kindheit grade auf Ps2 ein must-have. Die story ist mega cool umgeformt und nicht einfach 1-1 nach erzählt vom Film. Außerdem ist das spiel schon einigermaßen fordernd und für mich, selbst mit 23 immernoch nicht einfach durchzuspielen.
Super spiel muss mehr gespielt werden, verstehen nicht warum es nur ein Metascore von 60 hat.

Игрушка детства, правда под сегодняшние ОС плохо сохранилась. Ей бы ремастер, как и всем остальным, и правки багов. В данной версии без фикса всё очень плохо, начиная с заторможенных анимаций главного героя, заканчивая вылетами после определённых миссий (После бейсбола и индюка). А так с удовольствием за 2 вечера осилил.

Surprisingly hard and well-made jump and run based on a family Disney movie I never watched. It features a good variety of gameplay elements like the obvious jump and run sequences, but also some vehicle levels or space ship ones, as well as some mini games. The movie sequences are well made and I had some fun mastering the levels and collecting the bonus cards. I also experienced crashes in the beginning, but with some D3D8.dll added to the game directory (tip found in discussions here on Steam page) I did not encounter technical issues anymore.

Jeu qui me rappel mon enfance sur PS2, le monde est super sympa et l'histoire également.

Néanmoins, je suis un peu déçu sur un point, sur cette version pc le jeu, à plusieurs reprise, bug (crash, ralentissement) et rend très complique voir impossible certaines missions.

C'est vraiment dommage car sinon ce serait un régale, après les bugs ne vous empêches pas à 100% de jouer mais cela reste pénible.

Mise à part ça, je ne peut que conseiller le jeu pour ceux qui veulent découvrir ou redécouvrir le monde de Chicken Little

Sorry aber da läuft ja mal garnichts. Bei jedem Sprung freezed das Hühnchen und Bugs ohne ende. Schade das ich es nicht direkt gezockt habe und es in meiner Bibliothek für eine Zeit lag. Jetzt kann ich es nicht umtauschen obwohl e snicht funktioniert. Sehr schade, wollte die alten PS2 vibes wiederhaben aber nicht so.

Please look up ways on how to get this game working properly. Having too much power can result in a very buggy experience. An underrated little gem that just happens to have a bad pc port. Once you get that fixed up, its a fun little game that you'll spend not too much time on. Its only a thumbs down for how poorly the pc port runs.

El mejor juego jamás creado por el hombre. Su dificultad es tal que el primer nivel es prácticamente imposible de pasar. Llega un punto en el que Chicken Little le empiezan a dar calambres y no puede saltar, de hecho, se queda en una posición estática. Es un juego de paciencia, esperar a que Chicken Little se mueva frame por frame, viendo cómo el escenario se mueve con normalidad, pero Chicken little a 5 frames por hora. Simplemente excelente 🐥

EDIT: Extras menu is extremely limited and lacking the 2 player mini-games from other platforms. (Found out this is only the case on the steam version. The old retail CD ROM has the mini-games. WHAT GIVES?)

Probably sucks for modern standards, but it's a gold PlayStation 2 era for me, a childhood classic. Plays perfectly on Linux with Steam's Proton, no gampeplay or framerate, bug issues at all.

Ce jeu est extrêmement buggé mais je trouve que ça lui fait un charme incomparable car quand je découvrait les bugs j etait émerveillé et je me disais comment c est possible et ça me marrait trop donc si vous aimez les bugs des jeux video en général (il n affecte pas le jeu enfin je crois) est fait pour vous par contre si vous voulez juste jouer.
