"DinoScape" is one of thousands of nasty mobile apps infesting the "free" section of Steam, but it's not really free.
The thin veneer of a game that's been stapled onto this toxic mobile app cash shop is pretending to be a very, very lame dinosaur themed platformer of no real value or interest to anyone... I mean, do these guys not know that actually decent platformers like SMB and Hollow Knight exist? If it wasn't for the cash shop, it just wouldn't make sense for anyone to make a game that's considerably worse than games that have been around for decades.
There's only a superficial game here. The game visuals and the game itself are incredibly shallow... think of them as the too-bright, colourful, thin plastic cabinet dress theme on a poker machine at the casino. That's basically what this is. So really, the mobile app "game" is just a veneer, a thin skin wrapped around a nasty, predatory mobile app cash shop.
Putting that toxic mobile app monetisation aside... this is a mobile app. I didn't spend thousands on a gaming PC so I could pretend it's an iPhone, and I don't think you did either... this kind of mobile app has no place in your Steam library.
Now on to pricing and value for gamers.
This is "free" enough (not every "free" game in the "free" section is truly free, there's usually some hidden price tag), at least you won't be expected to spend any more money after you download this, but just because something is free doesn't mean it's good, and the cost of a game is more than just financial, your time is valuable too.
Since free games don't contribute to your game collector badge and other profile stuff, is this a worthwhile addition to your Steam library?
Definitely not. This isn't worth it. I'm paraphrasing another reviewer here, but this should be a paid product... they'd have to pay people to download it.

- Styl graficzny pikselowy + kolorowy / cartoonowy — daje ładny, lekko retro vibe. Nie udaje, że jest ultra realistycznie, ale właśnie dzięki temu gra ma swój urok.
- Temat prehistoryczny z dinozaurami + jazda dinozaurem + zagrożenia takie jak lawa / meteoryty — buduje poczucie przygody i niebezpieczeństwa, chociaż w lekkiej formie.
- Darmowa + prosty start — idealny, jeśli szukasz czegoś szybkiego do odpalenia, bez skomplikowanych systemów.
Co może przeszkadzać:
- Eksploracja jest mocno ograniczona — to platformówka, więc nie ma otwartego świata tylko scrolowane poziomy. Nie szukasz sekretów w wielkim świecie, tylko biegniesz / skaczesz, unikasz przeszkód.
- Brak głębszego klimatu narracyjnego — motyw ratuj dinozaury + przetrwanie to prosta formuła, bez dużych twistów fabularnych. To bardziej arcade’owa przygoda niż epicka historia.

Co daje pozytywy:
- Zagrożenia typu przepaście, lawa, latające meteoryty, ostre zęby (wrogowie) — jest ryzyko, nie jesteś „zawsze bezpieczny”, co wymaga uwagi i refleksu.
- Jazda dinozaurem to frajda — daje ci przewagę ruchu, ale też ograniczenia (np. sterowanie, reakcje). To ciekawa mechanika, bo dino się inaczej zachowuje niż postać pieszo.
Co bolało / mogłoby być lepiej:
- Kontrola bywa momentami mniej precyzyjna — skoki, momenty, gdzie trzeba bardzo dokładnie obliczyć dystans, potrafią być frustrujące zwłaszcza przy rzucie spadania / lawy.
- Trudność niekiedy skacze lub spada — są momenty, gdzie gra jest bardzo łatwa, a inne, gdzie nagle masz sekwencję wymagającą perfekcji, co może odstraszyć mniej cierpliwych.

Co daje motywację do powrotu:
- Gra jest darmowa, więc próby z lepszym wynikiem nie kosztują — możesz grać ile chcesz, by pobić swój rekord (np. jak daleko dotrzesz, ile jajek zbierzesz).
- Odblokowywanie kosmetycznych dodatków (akcesoria) zachęca do grania więcej, by zebrać emeraldy / przedmioty ozdobne.
- Wyzwania typu przetrwanie — jak długo możesz jechać / jechać równo, unikać przeszkód — dają frajdę.

This was an amazing and fun game, but today it doesn't get updates anymore and it won't let you sign in or make a new account which is required to even play the game (and I know that a lot of people don't like signing in/ making an account just to play a game). Also there might be some glitches in the game, and the last update was back in 2021, but I liked the game back when I could still play it, and probably before I started playing, you didn't need to have an account.

Overall, DinoScape feels like a missed opportunity. With some basic improvements like ditching the mandatory account creation, fixing the ear-grating music, and adding controller support, it might have been salvageable. But as it stands, it's just not worth the hassle."

Als erfahrener Spieler muss ich leider sagen, dass Dinoscape eines der schlechtesten Spiele ist, die ich jemals gespielt habe. Das Spiel ist voller Bugs und es scheint, dass die Entwickler keine Anstrengungen unternommen haben, um sie zu beheben. Zum Beispiel verschwinden die Eier einfach und die Währung verschwindet auch ohne ersichtlichen Grund. Das macht das Spiel extrem frustrierend und unbefriedigend.
Der Online-Multiplayer-Modus ist ein totaler Reinfall. Es gibt keine anderen Spieler, die man treffen kann, was den ohnehin schon langweiligen Spielverlauf noch langweiliger macht. Es ist traurig zu sehen, dass das Spiel seit 2022 nicht mehr aktualisiert wurde, was bedeutet, dass die Entwickler kein Interesse daran haben, ihre Fehler zu beheben.
Die Preise für die Währung sind viel zu hoch und es scheint, dass die Entwickler nur darauf aus sind, Spieler auszunutzen und Geld aus ihnen herauszupressen. Es gibt auch kein Vsync, was bedeutet, dass das Spiel auf einigen Systemen sehr schlecht läuft und unspielbar ist.
Alles in allem würde ich Dinoscape nicht empfehlen. Die Mängel des Spiels machen es zu einer schlechten Erfahrung und es ist traurig zu sehen, dass die Entwickler keine Anstrengungen unternehmen, um ihre Fehler zu beheben oder das Spielerlebnis zu verbessern. Meine Empfehlung ist, dieses Spiel zu meiden und sich stattdessen nach besseren Alternativen umzusehen.

DinoScape is a mobile game that has simply been ported straight to steam with no other changes. The concept is okay, and it is fun to start with, however I have a lot of criticism.
- No achievements
- Music is the same 4 second "song" that loops over and over.
- Game gets repetitive and boring after literally a couple of minutes.
- Game is capped at 60fps, and there is no vsync option, meaning that screen tearing occurs often.
- Seemingly low-effort game, however there is still "in-app purchases" so that you can use your real money to buy cosmetics in-game.
These five things alone ruin the game for me. The game has been ported here with little or no afterthought. It is quite simply a bad game.

위험한 용암도 있고 가시가 박힌 선인장도 있고
데굴데굴 굴러다니는 녀석도 있고 움직이는 발판을 이용하기도 하고
어쨌든 위험한 녀석들을 피하면서 최대한 멀리가면 되죠.
이동하는 도중에 코인들을 수집할 수 있으며 수집한 코인으로
상점에서 다양한 꾸미기 아이템들을 구매할 수 있습니다.
물론 비싸기에 하나사려면 꽤 오래 플레이해야하긴 하죠.
또한, 주사위를 수집하여 랜덤한 아이템을 획득할 수도 있습니다.
코인을 여러개 준다거나 풍선을 매달아서 느리게 추락하기,
높이 뛰어오르는 아이템도 있고 2단 점프나 터지면서 강한 반동을 주는 아이템도 있죠.
아이템은 쉬프트로 사용할 수 있는대 딱히 설정에 키안내나 그런건 없어서 불편....

Gutes Spiel und ein sehr süßes Design der Welt und Charaktere. Nur zu empfehlen für die traurigen Stunden. Sehr süß.
Cooles Spiel, alles in allem aber doch zu primitiv. Es ist schlichtweg schnell zu langweilig, es passiert zu wenig in der Welt, es fehlen Herausforderungen wie man sie aus Super Mario, Super Tux, oder Commander Keen kennt. Hier und da mal ein Monster dem man ausweichen muss, eine Plattform die nach einer Berührung zerbricht, solche Elemente die das Spiel dynamischer machen. Lässt sich sicher weiter ausbauen, dann wird das Spiel auch richtig Spaß machen. Alles in allem nett zum ausprobieren, aber noch viel zu langweilig.
Dieses Spiel ist zwar anfangs etwas schwer doch nach und nach wird es immer besser. Ich hatte enormes Glück das ich nach kurzer Zeit ein Dinoei bekommen habe. Viel Spaß bei diesem tollen Spiel

A very fun dinosaur parkour game!
Gutes spiel führ zwischen durch aber um es mal 2 stunden am stück zu spielen wird es mir schnell langweilig
und die meinsten sachen kosten sehr viel amber kosten und sind ohne geld aus zu geben sehr schwer zu ereichen
