I had a lot of fun storming through the various procedurally generated dungeons, and the ever-changing layouts ensured that the scenery never felt too stagnant during my playthrough.

The gameplay itself is incredibly straightforward, requiring very little strategy to succeed. I often found that the most effective way to handle a room was simply charging into the pocket with the enemies and spamming the attack button until everything stopped moving. Das Spiel ist ein schöner Jump´n Run mit Kampfeinlagen. Mit jedem Run wird man stärker und ist nie frustriert. Achievements sind mit dem Spielende im Grunde alle erlangt. Freue mich auf den 2. Teil.

The Game is a nice Jump´n Run with some battlemechanics. After every run will the character be stronger and the playing is never frustrating. At the End you will have every achievement. I´am interested to play the sequel.

I played this one after playing Devious Dungeon 2, and even though this one does not have as much to offer as the second game, it is a fun game. I liked the various items you could purchase, more item types than the 2nd game. I also enjoyed the quasi-randomness of the levels. Overall, a fun time.

TEDIOUS DUNGEON - the game is slow and very difficult to navigate. This is thanks to the amazingly poor controls! Even for 2019, this is heinous. Your character just keeps moving on its own if you keep the movement keys pressed for longer than an instant, making platforming and (the simplistic) fighting difficult, for no reason. Get ready to have loads of fun chasing coins that seem to be magically drawn to spike pits.

The only way to make decent money is completing the in-game quests, or treasure chests. Upgrades, or rather, equipment is all the same, just slightly stronger. No real variation, just buy everything sequentially when you have enough money to get a bit more damage than before, and pick one of three stats (DMG/HP/CRIT) when you level up.

It's terribly grindy towards the end, just to get an item with a 1 stat difference from the prior iteration. The enemy roster consists of several enemy types that get reskinned and tougher as you progress. All doing mostly the same stuff/attack pattern. Maps are all the same thing and the rare health potions that drop only ever heal 5 HP.

Menu navigation is unresponsive, so just scrolling down a bit takes a minute. Key mapping is a nightmare. Half of your keyboard is mapped to attack/jump/map, in a nonsensical way.

It's clear that this is a mobile port, but it's a poor one. Could've been half decent if they put a few hours to make it operable on PC. Also 5€ is a travesty for this game, when you can get something like Vampire Survivors.

простенький 2д фентези платформер.
под нашим управлением герой рыцарь, который умеет прыгать и бить. всё, а больше и ничего и не надо.
Проходить данный проект на клавиатуре было достаточно просто.(так же игра поддерживает гемпад)
между чаптерами есть локация с магазинчиком, в котором можем приобрести новое оружие, броню, зелье, кольцо и/или амулет. при прибритении 1го предмета, открывается еще лучше итем.
каждый уровень состоит из платформинга, секретов-невидимых стен, врагов, коробок, и разрушаемых декораций из которых выпадают монетки. находим ключ, идем на выход к воротам или добиваем остальных врагов.
игра прикольная. быстрая.
понравились враги наездники на слизнях, очень милые показались. (хотя все плюющие / кидающиеся враги могут принести неудобства)
и красные быки оборотри. ( что, это враги из серии игр serious sam ? ))) )
прошел игру за 4 часа. последнего босса победил с 2го трая, при этом осталось 1 хп)
оценка, ну допустим 10/10.

It's fun, it's a platformer and a fighting game at the same time, the dungeons from what I see are always randomized so thats good. Theres a couple of weapon, armor, potion, etc. upgrades , but at the same time, the items won't save you, it's more of a having to time your attacks correctly, since near the end of the game enemies pack quite a punch.

The only problem I had with the game is that the in-game menu, it feels like it's delayed, but overall it's a pretty good game 8.5/10

I actually started this style with Space Roguelike Adventure, and then discovered this.

This one feels a bit easier, but the two are pretty much the same, save the setting.

So I will say the same I do here as about SRA: get this, because it is easy to pick up, playable in short periods or long plays, and excels in enjoyment.

It is like 1/10 the cost of a AAA title and 1000 times more fun.

I used to play Devious Dungeon on my phone. It was fun then and it's still fun now. As a port of a phone app, the usual warnings apply: It's simple, it's easy, and it's short. Thankfully, there are no microtransactions. Devious Dungeon's platforming mechanics are good and require slightly more than the basest level of skill and planning, making it just the thing for players needing a break from getting their ass kicked by more substantial titles in the same vein, such as Rogue Legacy and Dead Cells. Pick this one up on sale for a long trip or a quiet weekend.

Okay, some days you have to deal with a thousand variables, permadeath and no clear end game goal. But that is call [i]Real Life [/i]. The grind is tiring plus you can't kill any boss. Even when you are over leveled, you can't get rid of that troll named HR.

So, it may be fun to find a game with big pixels, a button to hit and another to jump. A game with enemies that drop big fat coins. A game where fat goblins are not named Linda.

*Very strange controls if playing with a keyboard and apparently cannot be changed normally as suggested by the current game launcher

*The main character always seems to move more than the player presses the movement button and this seems to be in a strange way, it can sometimes get in the way when jumping on small platforms for example, and in other situations where the game requires a perfect brake on movement

Maniabilité au petits oignons, graphismes pixel sympa.
Je n'en attendais pas grand chose, mais ce jeu est vraiment addictif, de plus ni trop difficile, ni trop facile.
Je recommande fortement pour ceux qui veulent un roguelike ou on avance s'en vouloir abandonner du à une difficulté extrême.
Je Valide à 100%, en sachant qu'il y a un 2, qui à l'air tout aussi bien.

Un gioco carino, ma gestito male.
Di base riprende un po' lo stile dei Wonder Boy dal 2 in poi, ma in questo caso lo sviluppo del personaggio (a parte per gli HP) è praticamente inutile, arrivati al livello 20 anche aumentando sempre la forza e con l'equipaggiamento migliore, serve sempre lo stesso numero di colpi per uccidere un mostro qualsiasi o gli oggetti.
A parte questo e i livelli un po' monotoni, si lascia giocare, va bene per passare qualche ora senza troppe pretese.

Eine Geschichte hat das Spiel nicht wirklich, mehr als zwei Sätze im Intro ist nicht drin, aber dafür hat es andere Stärken.
Äußerlich ist das Spiel keine Schönheit, die riesigen Pixel stören aber auf dem Steam Deck deutlich weniger.
Dafür sieht man viel Detailverliebtheit im Spiel, da jede angelegte Waffe und Rüstung ein eigenes Aussehen haben.
Das Spiel ist ein Action-Roguelite, d.h.: Wir spielen bis zum Tod und dann können wir die gesammelten Ressourcen wieder nutzen und an bestimmten Stellen in den Verlauf wieder einsteigen. Diese Stellen gibt es immer nach 3 geschafften Level, oder nach jedem Boss.

Die Level sind zufallsgeneriert und unterscheiden sich jedes Mal voneinander. Unser Ziel im Level ist es einen Schlüssel für den Ausgang und den dazugehörigen Ausgang zu finden. Auf dem Weg dorthin müssen wir an vielen Gegnern vorbei und sammeln dabei auch alles Mögliche an Gold ein.

Von den Gegnern gibt es viele Arten und sie werden mit der Zeit auch immer schwerer. Jeder Gegner hat eine Angriffsfolge, somit ist erstmal für Abwechslung gesorgt, aber man wird im Laufe des Spiels so viele davon erledigen, daß man sie nach kurzer Zeit schon auswendig kennt.
Alle drei Level, oder beim Neueinstieg, nachdem man gestorben ist, können wir in einem Shop Ausrüstung aller Art kaufen: Waffen, Rüstungen, Schmuck, Tränke.
Diese steigern alle unsere Werte auf die eine oder andere Art, somit werden wir mit der Zeit immer mächtiger. Und das müssen wir auch werden, um die nächsten schwereren Abschnitte zu überstehen.

Das ist auch die Kernmechanik des Spiels: Gegner töten, Gold einsammeln, Ausrüstung erwerben, wieder einsteigen und wieder von vorne.
Wie angedeutet, sammeln wir Gold in den verschiedenen Bereichen: Entweder durch zerschlagen von Objekten, oder durch das Töten der Gegner, es gibt auch versteckte Schatztruhen, die es zu finden gilt, in denen Schätze stecken, die viel Gold wert sind.
Außerdem, bekommen wir durch das Erlegen von Gegnern Bossen Erfahrungspunkte, die unsere Stufe mit der Zeit erhöhen. Beim Stufen aufstieg dürfen wir auch jedes Mal einen Punkt auf unsere Werte vergeben und so zu erstarken.
Zusätzlich kann man in sehr vielen Abschnitten geheime Bücher finden, die uns viele Erfahrungspunkte bringen, daher ist die Suche danach sehr wichtig.

Gold und Erfahrung sind die beiden Sachen, die wir trotz Tod behalten dürfen, somit wird unser Charakter immer stärker.
Die Bosse im Spiel haben alle ein Angriffsmuster, wenn man das gelernt hat und genug Mächtig genug geworden ist, sind sie keine große Herausforderung mehr. Wenn doch, dann sind wir noch nicht stark genug und spielen ein paar frühere Ebenen erneut, die sind ja nach dem Durchspielen ja zugänglich.

Kein hervorragendes Spiel, aber doch ein schöner Zeitvertrieb für alle, denen es nichts ausmacht, manche Stellen immer wieder zu Spielen.

I paid about a dollar for this very simple RPG action game. Simple level progression, stat building and weapon leveling. It's fun for a dollar. But after couple hours It got boring fast. I think the competition is simply too good for this simple style of game play to survive. But for the two hours I was entertained! I say for a dollar you got nothing to lose. Give it go!

曲折地牢是一款2D平台动作游戏，融入了RPG的人物升级和装备购买系统，还有随机生成的地图和每十关一个boss。
以这个价位来说，勉强可以算及格，但是对于普通玩家（尤其是冲着特别好评来的玩家）而言即便是打折也并不推荐。
至于不推荐的原因，一句话概括的话是这游戏只有一小时的寿命。
低成本低定价独立游戏的一个常见的致命问题是发现一只出毛的羊就逮住薅到秃，说人话就是同一个玩法从头到尾不变，这款游戏也是如此。
虽然有人物升级和装备购买，但都只是给你的各种属性+1+2的区别，你没有学会新的操作方式，没有新的玩法。随机地图也是一样，至少我玩了将近两个小时，除了平地和尖刺没有其他地形，随机的也只是平台、平地、尖刺和敌人的分布。敌人倒不能说没有新种类，但不同敌人强度差别很大，而玩家能力的提升会越来越缓慢，最后变成了纯刷钱刷经验的枯燥过程。

My first impression of this game was actually several years ago on mobile, and it was pretty enjoyable. I decided to get it again on steam, but I was met with controls that didn't work at all. However, my xbox controller worked perfectly fine. This one major flaw brings down the score, but overall an alright game.

Jugabilidad: Un simple roguelike 2D bastante generico con un toque de rpg, es entretenido a pesar de ser algo repetitivo.

Gráficos: Ps un pixel art...no suelo criticar los pixel arts pero no me gustaron para nada.

Dificultad: Bastante facíl, no presenta un reto si sabes como usar el boton de saltar para esquivar los ataques de los enemigos.

Musica: Es mala a decir verdad, y nisiquiera va con el entorno que presenta, la canción del castillo ta wena.

Duración: Depende, si queres conseguir el tesoro de los cofres, monedas y subir de nivel tardaras una eternidad.

Precio: El juego no lo recomendaria si no fuera por el precio, es que por 7 pesos es bastante weno.

Пару лет назад добавил эту игрушку в список желаемого абсолютно случайно.
Много раз видел ее по скидке и всегда думал:зачем же я ее добавил и не убираю?
Как же хорошо,что я ее оставил,ребята!
Игра потрясающая !
И я не понимаю,почему у нее не 10к+ отзывов и такая низкая цена).

Прошел ее за 5 часов в обычном режиме.
Хорошо,что можно выбрать сложность.
Даже если вы не очень способный игрок,то благодаря,скажем,гринду,вы сможете пройти эту игру;а профи даже не обязательно доходить до самого дорогого снаряжения,чтобы упростить прохождение .
Проходил билдом через силу+ловкость

Советую приобрести .Это качественная и приятная игра с залипательным геймплеем.
Нужно будет купить и вторую часть)))

A 2D simple platformer I can play and even play rather well at my level?! O.O

The controls feel weird at first: e.g. use S to jump, confirm or go to another area or the up arrow key, A to attack and arrow keys to move - it's weird at first, but incredibly simple and easy once you get used to it.
Just jumping with the up arrow key feels a lot easier than with the huge space, so I maneuver rather tightly and accurately - things I normally can't ever do in 2D platformers.

A lot of battle is in positioning: e.g. observing how far enemy attacks reach or in what directions, mostly it's pretty easy to stay out of range and figure out how to be effective, despite only being able to damage enemies from fairly close range yourself while they can shoot at you, depending on their type, also the platforming has not been a problem and I'm usually terrible at it in 2D games.

Every time you die and sometime during your adventure you'll run into the merchant and the game will save once you get to another level in the dungeon - usually, it'd bug me to no end to have the dungeon constantly changing, but here it fits and keeps the game fresh rather than feel like it's hindering me - and every time you quit the game it will save your gear and store progress: items unlock in stages, buy one item to unlock better ones that get more expensive as you go along, but not unreasonably so.

So no matter how much you die, you'll always get at least some money to get an upgrade and go forward, plus you're EXP is never lowered by a gimmick, so you'll always make progress no matter what.

Didn't think I'd ever like this type of game, but I love this one. :D

There're quite a few platformers available in the market nowadays. But what makes this one different than the others? I really don't know, I mean, I don't play this genre as often as I used to before. Nonetheless, I'll briefly try to express my thoughts about it

The story is pretty much simple: You need to kill a Dragon. Yep, there's nothing more than that, so don't worry about meeting random NPCs in the way or having extensive dialogues with someone. Anyway, it does have a tutorial which explains to you how the gameplay mechanics works, and I find it cool that you don't need to keep pressing the button to attack, you just need to hold it a wreck whatever is on your path

As you keep killing the enemies, you level up your character and you can get to invest points on three different stats. The money that you hoard through the levels can be used to buy some new equipment or items that can help to improve your stats even more. You also open warps to the levels as you progress, which makes easier to revisit a certain part if you'd like to later

There're some side quests along the way, but the more your character grows, the more unnecessary and annoying they get, because they're usually about killing a specific kind of enemy, and sometimes, you need to return to a previous stage just to do that. The reward for doing it It's usually not worthy anyway

As for the visuals, music and sound effects, I think they're pretty much decent, at least in my opinion, there's nothing really to complain about

This game is usually offered for a very affordable price, so if you're looking to kill some time and unlock some achievements that aren't really hard to get, go ahead and give it a try

For some reason I feel like I've played this game before a long time ago, or something similar..

[b]1.[/b] A fun romp, when you take damage you know why.
[b]2.[/b] A good entry point for someone starting to get into the 2D platforming genre.
[b]3.[/b] Character control is spot on, so many other games fail at this.
[b]4.[/b] Nice variety of enemy types, a few definitely keep you on your toes.
[b]5.[/b] Heaps of loot (coins) and quest rewards per level for more coins if you want. Shop mechanic to spend your loot is cool.
[b]6.[/b] Secret areas to find.
[b]7.[/b] Items give stat boosts and you also see the characters visual appearance change with weapon or armour.
[b]8.[/b] Level up system and you even get full health and choice of stat boost.
[b]9.[/b] Auto save function means you can quit and pick-up and play whenever you want.
[b]10.[/b] You won't find many if any cheap deaths here.

[u]Cons:[/u]
[b]1.[/b] Viewpoint takes a bit of getting use to. It's like when you play an FPS with the wrong FOV, but here everything feels big, like you have your face close to the screen. After 30 minutes or so, you do get use to it. Although, you could try changing the game resolution or playing in a windowed mode if that might help?
[b]2.[/b] I didn't really like the look of the default weapon. It seemed to stiff, they should add a slight animation to it when your character moves. I'm not sure if any upgraded weapons will look any more appealing or not.

I don't have any other complaints so far. It you want something more challenging (bullet hell, precision platformer, souls-like) then this is not for you. This is more for someone wanting a pick-up and play fun time and also for those wanting a good entry point into the genre. It's a solid game and invokes interest of what they might have added in the sequel.

[u]Devious Dungeon[/u] – это олдскульный 2D-платформер с элементами RPG и roguelike, а также приятной глазу пиксельной графикой. Правда однообразный геймплей сильно омрачает процесс. Но об этом скрупулёзно и подробно далее. Как говорится, дьявол кроется в деталях.

[h1] Игровой процесс [/h1]
В своей основе это пиксельный платформер в ретро-стилистике с некоторыми очень упрощенными нововведениями в виде RPG-элементов.

В игре есть 5 зон, каждая со своими собственными вратами и с боссом в конце каждой. Есть два уровня сложности, которые, насколько я мог судить, просто дают врагам дополнительное здоровье. Оба они помогают выбрать себе комфортный вызов для прохождения. Сами уровни же проходят некоторую процедурную генерацию, но цель для каждого из них одна и та же - возьмите ключ и доберитесь до выхода. По пути вы будете выполнять множество игровых задач, которые также дадут вам определённые награды.

Элементы RPG заключаются в том, что при повышении уровня, вы получаете некоторые преимущества в отношении здоровья. Кроме того, очень упрощенное меню экипировки постепенно позволяет вам покупать все, что может предложить магазин, при условии, что вы собрали с врагов или сундуков достаточно денег. Вы всегда можете начать с другой и более ранней контрольной точки в игре, чтобы заработать немного опыта и денег, хотя в этом относительно нет необходимости, ведь боссы в игре довольно простые. К слову, о них.

Боссы легко различимы между собой. Вам может потребоваться несколько попыток, чтобы пройти через них, но для большинства игроков все они будут относительно легкими.

Обычные враги и окружающие объекты, которые вы можете разбить, имеют большое количество HP, по крайней мере, когда играл я. Мне показалось, что для победы над врагом требуется всего 1 или 2 удара. Иногда они будут просто драгоценностью/сокровищем для увеличения денег, в другом месте это даст Вам значительный прирост опыта. Эти повышения были самым простым способом, который я нашел для повышения уровня, особенно в конце игры.

Честно говоря, поиграв вдоволь, замечаешь, что различные зоны на самом деле не сильно отличались друг от друга, если не считать изменения внешнего вида и преобладания некоторых врагов. После того, как Вы научитесь справляться с общими врагами, вам будет довольно легко ориентироваться в игре.

Одним словом, Вас ждёт 3-4 часовое фэнтезийное приключение. Простое, незатейливой и не особо запоминающееся. Зато один вечер вы гарантированно проведёте с удовольствием. Далее коротко об остальном.

[h1] Управление [/h1]
Игра рекомендует контроллер. Также есть управление с клавиатуры, но оно не переназначаемое, что делает игровой процесс не для всех удобным.

[h1] Графика [/h1]
У игры явно закос под пиксельную графику, но полноценным 16-bit я её назвать не могу. Угловатые персонажи, такое же угловатое окружение. Какой-то особый стиль, который лично мне, честно говоря, по вкусу не очень пришёлся.

[h1] Музыка [/h1]
Определенно, через некоторое время саундтрек стал повторяться, чем мне показалась изрядно надоедливым, но откровенно плохим я его назвать не могу.

[h1] Для кого подойдёт данная игра?[/h1]
Игровой процесс довольно непринужденный и доступный для большинства игроков. Хардкорным геймерам, которым нужна глубокая игровая механика, следует поискать что-нибудь в другом месте. В принципе, я бы сказал, что больше, чем в срок 3-4 часа игра Вам попросту надоест.

[b]Devious Dungeon - достойная игра для тех случаев, когда Вам просто нужен простой казуальный платформер, для разгрузки после долгого рабочего дня, где не требуется много размышлений или усилий. This is on face a very fun platformer with RPG elements - you earn treasure! You level up! You buy bigger and bigger pieces of loot. Eventually you'll face bigger and badder bosses that get increasingly difficult. It has everything I want!

In theory. In practice? Every single level is procedurally generated. At first you don't notice, you're distracted by getting more loot, more gear, encountering the occasionally new bad guy. But before the first boss already the game felt very samey: bounce through the level, smash everything. Keep going. Dozens of times. Being randomly generated there's just not very interesting challenges within the levels themselves except for what feels like coincidence. The dungeon itself isn't very interesting to explore, you're just hopping through a location.

It's not a BAD game; it's a perfectly fine way to while away some time. But for me, the treadmill of content became too apparent too quickly; a Skinner Box of slightly increasing RPG integers just was not enough to sustain it for me.
