Quick and simple deduction game in the vein of the Golden Idol franchise or, possibly, Return of the Obra Dinn.
It stands out from the rest by having a unique visual style with a ton of original, high-quality artwork; by having a freeform main deductive gameplay system that doesn't require the exact magical sequence of evidence and actions to proceed; and by being ACTUALLY funny on more than one occasion.
There's clearly a lot of planning and backplotting that went into this, and the overall direction and the conclusion of the plot is fairly solid.
If you're in the mood to occupy one evening with detective conspiracy kino, this is probably it.

Kinda surprised the game went totally under the radar for me until a streamer I watch stumbled upon it by chance, as it is right in the zone of games I like to play. And it's a shame, as it was such a nice one!
Daemon Masquerade is one of these great weekend games that is best played on close semi-long sessions. It's universe is quite rich, interlinked and though about for it's scale, which makes it all the more pleasant to play.
I did not know what to expect when going into it, but what I got was a compelling story, written in a universe that is both absurd and very down-to-earth. Unraveling the details of this world and understanding how each part interact with each other was a lot of fun.
It seems like the game is the first of it's developer, and it's self published, so it's expected to have a few details about the gameplay or such that could have been enhanced, but there is really no flaw in the game sufficiently big to hinder it's charm and qualities. Only the way to play the game is unclear on some aspects but you eventually get by it quite quickly. I hope more people will come around to play this game!
非常有创意的一款游戏，设定有趣，故事流畅，世界观庞大。但如此优秀的设计却仅仅被用来服务几个小时流程的推理游戏实在让人感到可惜，考虑到作者本身的精力有限，制作一款游戏也不是那么容易的一件事，还是十分敬佩作者的才华的。再次感谢作者带来这款有趣的游戏，也感谢汉化者的巨大帮助。假以时日希望看到这款游戏能够出续作，或者改编成电影（我认为是个好主意）。

简单总结剧情就是，玩家作为一个被卷入一场阴谋游戏的侦探，通过自己的能力探案并且挖掘出所有参与游戏的玩家身份和能力，最后推翻幕后黑手包汉堡的故事。

有趣的世界观设定，新奇魔幻的探案体验，画风和文本，有种让我找回儿时看冒险小虎队和鸡皮疙瘩的感觉。

故事上，作为一个OC世界观，里面的很多设定其实最后并不是很完全，有种展开了但是没有完全展开的感觉。最后结尾匆匆的包汉堡也显仓促和老套。
逻辑推理上，很多线索是难以get到的，这个比较像其他点击式解谜游戏的通病，逻辑链条不够清晰，很多对应的解释有些牵强附会。手头线索之间的关联性其实也不是很大，推理起来的难度比较大。再加上这是OC世界观，很多东西都需要阅读大量驳杂的OC设定，也导致后面玩起来稍显得没有头绪和枯燥。

如果对这个画风设定感兴趣的话可以看情况入手，游戏性和推理性上的逻辑性稍显欠缺，但是总体来说还是中规中矩。
oh, gosh, this was just so delightfully fun and original. i only wish there could have been more of it. it's not perfect—i wish that the controls were a little less clunky (the cursor and hitbox can be a bit imprecise, it can be hard to click exactly what you want to click, and sometimes you know exactly the right deduction but there are unnecessary intricacies in exactly how you're supposed to string together the evidence). but it's a really great time and i am excited to see what this developer does next!

Excellent detective game with a good story and thoughtful puzzles. Good difficulty level where the puzzles require some time to process but I didn't find myself getting stuck and needing hints or a walkthrough. The 7-day system was an interesting mechanic that functions similar to a hint system where you can decide when you feel like you need more evidence to continue. Enjoyed the art and humor (the Scholastic magazine was a great touch).
I had a smoothly nice time with Daemon Masquerade. The mysteries were engaging and I liked the fun illustration art style. The whole concept of the daemons had me interested to learn about each of them and consider their power creatively. Admittedly the characterization was a bit on the simplistic side, but servicable enough for the rest of the game. I would recommend it as a casual supernatural detective mystery game. The quirks of the main character's ability particularly had my interest piqued in how it gave another layer to considering the cases.
I would say the introduction of daemons is the main thing which gives the game its uniqueness, rather than the board on which you shuffle evidence, which felt like it affected gameplay in a minor way, although it did add to my investment of roleplaying as a detective.
You can feel it's a game crafted with care. A lot of great details and ideas. Even though I got stuck a few times, I can say it was a really fun experience and it ends on a really great note. I hope the dev will make more games in the future =)

Overall quite fun. Hits the sweet spot for a deduction game in terms of difficulty and amount of evidence to process. Minor problems with the system for submitting your answers(a way to save your place so you don't have to redo a long sequence if you mess up one thing would be nice for instance), and maybe one spot where a deduction you're supposed to make didn't quite seem conclusive given the evidence, but mostly plays fine. The story is fun; there are a fair few stereotypical/cliche characters and moments but I mostly just found them part of the humor.

If you like investigation games with a supernatural twist and solid internal consistency, there is a very high chance you will like this game.
it's a pretty solid spin on the thinky games genre. the logic of deductions mostly checks out save for a couple of scenes, the doodling mechanic is fun, the red thread mechanic is even more fun. i also liked where the developer went with his art direction of the game. overall a short but immensely enjoyable experience — even more so knowing that the entire thing was made by one person!
推理其实挺简单的。
这游戏最主要的还是看作者写的世界观内容，虽然很想吐槽怎么又是自相残杀类的设定，不过魔灵和学院相关真的写了很多，很有意思。
就是最开始那个踩踩背的绘本没什么作用，还以为会顺着这个绘本有什么剧情展开，结果没有，有一些失望。
结尾猜主谋的地方个人觉得也有点拉了，不过瑕不掩瑜，整体来说还是十分之好玩😎
It's pretty good, like a 7/10. I liked the ending and world building (and how the Daemons were incorporated with real world events), but some of the puzzles were a bit too niche and the final puzzle was underwhelming.
The Tyrant deserved way worse.
Nice short deduction game with a very intriguing world that I would absolutely love to see more games take place in.
If you like detective games, you will LOVE THIS ONE! Quite short, but it keeps on giving and doesn't stop. It's not very hard, but it's immensly satisfying! One of the most unique detective games out there. It takes from some of the best similar games, spuns the ideas around and offers best of them all. It shows that the game is built on Ren'Py but it doesn't make the game bad, just some glitches here and there.

This was an excellent game! Loved the concept, the mysteries, how it was all layed out and the level of deduction needed. It reminded me of the sheer excellence of the Golden Idol games, but with a new approach! Highly recommended!
Pretty good detective game (think the roottrees are dead type) with pretty presentation and a nice mystery.
The only strange thing is that clues for the main mystery are drip fed day by day.
Excellent mystery game with a compelling interface. While a little corny at times, I found it charming overall. Lots of satisfying deductions and plenty of extra lore to discover that isn't central to the main mystery.
AAAH I LOVE THIS GAME SO MUCH!! It was so much fun, it is clearly a writing masterpiece with how you made the characters so loveable ( and hateable ) in such a small amount of time. I love this kind of games already, but this one was so AHHH. I both cried and cheered at the ending.

I have only known these characters for 6 hours but I was crying by the end of this. It manages to convey so much character out of only a corkboard and I feel like I knew these people before I even met them! One thing I love is how when you solve something you feel like Sherlock Holmes because the clues are so clever and if I could use a Lethos bound to wipe my mind, I would play it all again in a heart beat. Thank you Callum Page for making this, if you ever make a continuation of this in any way I will buy it no questions asked. This is my favourite logic deduction game, and I've played return of the Obra Dinn and case of the golden idol.
短小的线索推理独游，画面是美漫风。配乐不多但氛围到位，总体很棒，是我喜欢的风格，也易于玩家进行“脑补”。
作者以魔灵能力为核心，构建起了本作的各个人物故事展开？（生活轨迹），通过不同角色每天的生活轨迹，进行推理，试图形成证据链，进而猜出每个人的魔灵能力。
不过游戏重在于推理部分，对于每名角色的塑造以及后续的剧情发展做的些许草率，仍有很大优化空间。最后的包汉堡环节更是有些让人丧失“兴致”。毕竟游戏的开篇给人卷入神秘组织的阴谋中的感觉，而后续却没能很好回应玩家的这一期待，不过对于独立游戏来说，也不应过于“吹毛求疵”。
值得一提的是游戏中的恶魔手册中恶魔数量极多，有很好的挖掘空间，不过也许受限于体量和成本，作者不便于展开。但是这些的确是很好的“写作”素材，期待之后会有同世界观下的作品。
unique game i love the idea of uncovering paranormal creatures using detective logic and its super fun little mystery puzzle game the mechanics were fun and fresh and solving the puzzles were fun some mechanics felt clunky but overall the puzzles were very well crafted. I kinda wish there was more of a focus on uncovering the secret orginization in the game, Its done to extent but felt it could go a bit further.
