Спустя время решил написать обзор по данному шедевру. 2024 год , я искал подходящие обои для своего стим аккаунта , мне очень понравилась стилистика обоев этого проекта , но прежде чем их приобрести необходимо было обзавестись игрой. Сначала я скептически относился к данной игре , но позже не заметил как она меня затянула на час другой :)
Прошел на все достижения , однозначно рекомендую к покупке!

Coffin of Ashes is a relatively short and simple completion in the genre of RPGMaker horror games. While the question being answered is whether or not to recommend, the game itself is not of exceptionally poor quality. There are some neat puzzles and mechanics as well as unique art styles and room designs, but the things that were good were what most would consider finishing touches — stylistic flairs — and not so much what makes a game good at its core.

Starting with my chief gripe: the story is indecipherable. Initially, I assumed this was either because I was not lending enough attention to the bits of exposition or the translation was obscuring key bits of information, but after completing the game and browsing for a synopsis of the story, I found it was less a story and more just haphazard exposition crammed in to justify the setting. A game of this style can forego a compelling narrative, but it would take more than solving simple puzzles to warrant my time investment.

There it not much to criticize or praise about the gameplay. Occasionally, the puzzles would be a bit abstract or require the player to check a specific tile that was vaguely alluded to. The challenge was usually appreciated though. The chases were not difficult at all and felt kind of silly honestly, but scary was clearly secondary — no complaints. The one main criticism I do have in this category is that it was not made clear what was needed to achieve the other ending, and because of that, I never did. This was another thing I had to look externally for to no real success on.

This is a lighter "would not recommend". I did not find it worth my time or money, but it seems like many others have found some value in this title.

This game has it's issues, but it's overall enjoyable, I wanna get my gripes out of the way first and then I'll get to the good.

The vignette is incredibly annoying, sure it tries to add atmosphere but it feels pointless and excessive, it's too strong for what it is.

There's an outdoor area where things look so washed out, like a TV with it's gamma set too high, and going from the dark indoor to the bright outdoor kind of hurts your eyes.

The puzzles feel harder more out of a lack of adequate direction rather than genuine difficulty, the player has to do a little mental gymnastics to come to certain conclusions, and some necessary areas are easy to miss because of the vignette, or them looking like just a jagged part of the map.

The end has a sort of forenote awkwardly shoved in there, trying to explain some things, attempting poorly to recontextualise parts of the story, or flat out just saying "yeah idk man, you figure it out", which makes the story and writing suddenly feel a lot more amateurish, there's something to be said for leaving things unanswered, not everything obviously, but a bit of ambiguity here and there doesn't hurt, I hate the whole "split personality" bit just shoved in there unnecessarily.

Now the good:

The sprites are generally pretty good, Lilan's sprite especially stood out to me as some really effective sprite-work, and I like the style it's got going on, although the shoulders do feel a little too broad on a couple sprites at least for my taste, I think they might be from some sprite asset pack though, so I don't know how much credit I should give for that.

The music is alright, there are a couple stand out tracks, it's not gonna be winning any massive awards, but it services the story well.

The gameplay can be a bit iffy, I played on easy because I recently played "Jimmy and the pulsating mass" and I just did not want to go through another "easy is actually normal" situation, so I don't think I can criticise the game for being too easy, but easy did make everything feel perhaps a bit too lax for me, so for the average player, normal is probably what you're gonna want to go for.

The puzzle side of the gameplay is rough, there's not really enough direction for the average player I don't think, which could result in a lot of frustration, but with how obtuse it can be, I was kind of shocked to not really need a guide for the majority of it, I used a guide for some of the achievements when 100%ing but that was about it, maybe persistence pays off, maybe I was just lucky, maybe I'm giving the game too much flack for not giving a ton of direction in the puzzles, but if you find yourself getting frustrated or banging your head against the wall trying to figure out what could possibly be the code, just look up a guide, there's no shame in it, I promise you'll have a better experience if you know your limits and aren't to proud to give in.

The story is reminiscent of corpse party, but a bit less edgy and trope filled (no hate towards corpse party, loved that game), I'm sure if you examined it too closely it may start to fall apart, but it's serviceable for what it is, I'd say towards the end of rebirth is where it kind of started to feel a bit too convenient, like they weren't quite sure how to wrap things up and were maybe written into a bit of a corner, I probably wouldn't have done the ending how they did, I don't think it ruins the game or the story at all though.

The main thing I keep thinking about this game is it's alright, just alright, it's not bad, it's just very middle of the road in terms of RPG maker, which isn't terrible, there's so many broken and terrible RPG maker games out there, if you're big into RPG maker games this is still worth playing because it's not one of those, but it's not like it's the cream of the crop, it's no Omori, or oneshot, or LISA, but it's far from bad, I'd probably put it in a similar ballpark to the witch's house, although whether it's above it or below it I can go back and forth on.

For the average gamer, this is kind of a 50/50 whether you'll enjoy it, but if you generally like things in this vein, and especially if you enjoy 100%ing games, this is at least a decent experience and probably worth it for you.

Очень хорошая игра , сделанная на движке rpg-maker в стиле survival horror ! Прикольный дизайн уровней , забавные и очень душевные персонажи , упоротая мистическая история и классная атмосферная музычка . Честно говоря не ожидал что она мне так понравится , очень доволен покупкой . Огромное спасибо разработчикам и удачи !
Кстати начал проходить игру на ноутбуке , закончил на Steam deck через Proton 9.0.4 . Игра с ним полностью совместима , хоть это и не казано в steam .

私は数学が世界で一番苦手なア〇です
このゲーム、雰囲気もよさそうで気になったのでプレイしたのですがいきなり序盤で詰まりました
謎の数字の問題です
しかもこれ攻略とか見ても意味なさそうで、数列の問題が変わるみたいなんですよね…そしてギブアップしました
数学得意な人に教えてもらうことも考えたのですが、ゲームの最初だけじゃなく途中でも何回もありそうなのでやめましたｗ
数列得意、もしくは普通にできるよって人はきっとこのゲーム楽しめるんだろうな…
だけどこんな人間もいるよってことで…私みたいな数列なにそれおいしいのな人にはおススメしません

・謎解きのバランスが微妙なところがある。序盤の数列とかｗ
・物語は理解できるけど、設定を一気に長話で語りすぎているのは微妙な印象。
・翻訳：会話でやや違和感がある箇所がある。
・ボリュームはやや短め

これ系のジャンルが大好きの人で
セールで購入して1日のみの暇つぶしをしたいならおすすめ。

Присоединяюсь к тем, кто восторга "второго лагеря" игроков не разделяет. Сюжета можно сказать нет (омг, даже в Мисао сюжета больше, хотя он там донельзя простой и банальный, но его преподносят адекватно, а Мисао стоит не намногим дороже, еще и вышла почти в то же время, что Пепел), персонажи картонные и пустые, лора нет, "вот это повороты" банальные и скучные, причина всего происходящего тривиальная и преподнесена халтурно "ну вот так есть и все". Мир пустой, загадки решать неинтересно (загадки должны дополнять игру, а не становиться ее кором, когда игра не заявляется в первую очередь как головоломка, а как хоррор с сюжетом) тебя не держит саспенс и ощущение "а что дальше".

В простых и понятных сюжетах нет ничего плохого, но когда за это просят относительно многовато для пиксельных инди хорроров на RPG Maker/Editor'e (спасибо хоть не 700р как за пустышку Pocket Mirror), где нет ни сюжета адекватно и обоснованно прописанного, ни некартонных персонажей и лора - это никуда не годится. Я играла в визуалки или хоррор-адвенчуры пиксельные за меньшие деньги или даже за бесплатно, где сюжеты были на голову интереснее или просто адекватно прописаны.

Хотите попугаться - можете взять, но если хотите прописанный сюжет и персонажей - не советую.

It's definitely not anything mind-blowing as other rpg horror games might be, but it was interesting with a cohesive and neat plot line. The endings were well thought out, and the true ending is quite cute. i appreciate the thought put into this game with all the small details, character building, and how the developer made use of the assets given to them. Overall, 8/10 W game. I honestly wouldn't mind seeing or playing this game again, or even seeing even more bonus content, even though it is an old game by now. Regardless, it's a cool rpg horror and I definitely recommend it.

小时候看抽风玩过，具体记不清了，但刚好还记得这个游戏的名字，可以自己玩还不怕被过去的记忆影响，善。
高考完买了电脑后火速去网上下载了一堆有印象的像素风恐怖游戏，这个也在其中。
但我找的是百度上的盗版，那个版本有一个问题，按理来说，主菜单有"开始""读档""设置""退出"这四个选项，但是盗版只有三个选项，没有"读档"，也就是说，我无法直接在主页面读档，得先点击“开始”，重新开一个存档，过一遍开头的剧情，然后跑到第一只小熊那里再读我之前的存档。
这问题导致我玩起来极为折磨，最终只能放弃了。
没想到啊没想到，居然Steam上有正版的，我还以为这种游戏早就死在某个犄角旮旯里，只剩下盗版流传了。
为了我的童年，果断买了，即使这游戏是坨屎我也要吃。
不过目前玩起来感觉不错，怪物那明显存在缺陷的智力加上重度残疾的体力非常适合我这飞舞的体质，没有限制的存档更是让我直呼过瘾，一个小时存了29个档，安全感拉满。
之前我玩的ib(非steam重置版)，雅皮士精神，晴天，这些玩意儿个个都限制我的存档，尤其是那个雅皮士精神，我差不多半个小时才敢存一个档，快给我折磨吐了。这个游戏畅快的存档机制，无疑是吃了两周素面后的第一口吮指原味鸡，爽感无可匹敌。
不对啊，我写这么多给谁看啊。
反正推荐就对了。

流程方面算是有点短四周目不跳剧情不跳交互物六小时就没内容了，解密方面比较少而且简单，剧情分支少细节和彩蛋也少，剧情方面也感觉借鉴魔女之家的有点多，但是总体来说算是个勉强合格的作品，制作组经验也不够。但是这个定价就有点不礼貌了

The story was further in depth than i could have imagined. there was so much lore to each character but you were left guessing as to who was who and who was spirit and who was alive. I love the fact you get 2 buddies to tag along with you and they both give you different story endings which is unique and very interesting! The saving all the time does get a bit tedious but with a game with so many chances of sudden death you gotta have those save stations! overall an amazing game and would highly recommend for those who like psychological horror games!

剧情很弱；npc之间互动太少以至于完全无感；很多解密莫名其妙的，很强行；很多该有指引的地方没有指引/提示；最后追逐战存档点距离太远跑来跑去很烦，玩下来主打一个折磨，打完一周目完全没有再开的想法

解谜不算特别难，有一点跳脸追逐战，经典老物（）最大硬伤是最开始没进入到TE线重打了一边结果到了二周目还要重新过一遍...太繁琐了只有一点新增的文本内容。不过还是很值得一玩的！玩到最后有点感动，人物也很萌！喜欢！

Coffin of ashes is a game that makes me wish there was an option for a neutral review, I dont think it deserves the full weight of a negative review.

On the one hand, there are a lot of points where the game is really clunky: Sound effects, story (why is this girl wandering around the mansion? Entering because of the rain makes sense), a whole lot of content I missed out on for telling the pink haired girl (im bad with names, sorry) that I dont trust her, constantly dying, hard mode making chase scenes not fun, puzzles where the answer is seemingly impossible to figure out on your own (Like kicking down a door, this is a mechanic that is never used or explained or hinted that up to that point).

On the other hand, I cant explain why, but the game has a charm. I dont regret playing it, and it even it started growing on me. Maybe one day I will return to it to get the rest of the content I had previously mentioned. The art, the music, the characters (even if shallow), the consistent atmosphere throughout the game. Its all charming, and for that alone it doesnt deserve a negative review.

Ділайла чекала на однокласників, аж тут почалася злива, тож вона вирішила перечекати дощ у дивному маєтку неподалік. Маєток, звісно ж, виявився старим, страшним, з кривавими слідами та моторошними істотами у стратегічно важливих місцях.

Не все те файне, що жахи у РПГ Мейкері, як би я їх не любив. Сабж занадто зосереджений на скрімерах, які начебто й непогані, але дуже швидко набридають, бо їх забагато, сцени погоні я апріорі не дуже ціную, але най вже, от сюжет за що? Деталі та описи предметів куди поділи?!! В цілому суто технічно гра зроблена добре, візуально приємна, але з сюжетом все сумно, особливо враховуючи типове "пройдіть цю гру тричі, щоб щось зрозуміти", якщо її і один раз пройти якось ліниво і ні про що.

Слабая игра с пресным сюжетом (сразу понимаешь в первый час игры, а последующие 2-5 часов подтверждают твои догадки), набросанными в кучу ассетами и "вот во 2-ом или 3-ем прохождении игра раскроется!". Нет, спасибо. Проходить снова одну и ту же нудятину я не буду. Персонажи безынтересные, хоррорная часть сильно проседает спустя 30 минут после старта игры, а затёртая до дыр шаблонная атмосфера загадочного замка/особняка реализована посредственно. Игра ощущается недоделанной.

剧情一般般吧，解密挺多的但是没啥新鲜独特花样。流程很短很短，要打二周目才能看懂剧情。人物塑造也太少，恐怖程度低，立绘粗糙，可以理解，毕竟是老游戏了。在同价位的恐怖像素解谜里不推荐购买。

Unfortunately, this was a really unpleasant gaming experience for me…

Positives:
- the way the big sprites were drawn was really beautiful.
- Lots of save slots which I like.

Negatives:
This game feels like an unfinished shell, it’s so bare bones. The story is incredibly flimsy and lacks any details. The premise doesn’t make any sense. It makes sense that you walk into the mansion to shelter from the rain. But why does the character then immediately go into exploring the mansion, looking everywhere when that was not the purpose of entering the mansion? And that’s not the only time such illogical actions happen. It would make so much more sense if you add just a little bit more dialogue because a lot of things can be explained, they just aren’t for some reason?
The characters are also very shallow and unrealistic. The main character sees a d*ad body and literally just says „oh it’s a d*ad body“. Who reacts this way?

All of these things could be overlooked if the game was at least fun but MY GOD. Those PUZZLES. This game has some of the worst, most illogical puzzles ever. Multiple times I had to look up how to progress because I just couldn’t figure it out? I watched someone on YouTube and they had the same experience so it’s not just me. A game is supposed to be fun. Making puzzles so random that you can’t figure them out just frustrates the player, it isn’t fun.

Usually, I try to see all the endings but I can’t bring myself to play this game anymore so I‘ll be leaving with one end and a bad gaming experience. Personally, I don’t recommend this game. Or maybe I‘m just bad at puzzles, who knows.

Игре бы поставил 6.5, а самому 6/10. Игра показалась для меня непредсказуемой. Т-к после выполнения различных действий я ниче не понимал ( куда дальше идти, или подобно тому ) Прошёл игру на нормальную и плохую концовку. И понял, чтоб получить все достижения, надо по другому ответить в каком-то моменте. Мб попытаюсь щас перепройти, но мне че то лень. А так, советую. Если хотите сломать себе мозги, то смело покупайте. Купил за 140 рублей по скидке

全成就了，剧情相当好特别是二周目，埋下的伏笔有回收，cg可爱捏。音效音量建议调小一点会有部分跳脸的或者地板坍塌的奇怪音效，比较刺耳。作为玩过很多rpg和galgame的小宅男，我对结局的要求是很高的。二周目结局虽然简单但很合我的胃口，所有角色都出来冒个泡，而且还有类似后日谈的小插曲。

因为是老物的缘故，剧情基本上可以猜个大概；
这作的缺点包括但不限于低级的jumpscare，一惊一乍的音效和奇怪的解密；
但相比于二周目那巨大的重复劳动下这些就显得没那么突出了，如果能减少二周目的重复度的话体验会好很多[strike] 这也是年代感的体现吧 [/strike]。
