Поначалу задачки кажутся довольно простыми, но сложность постепенно нарастает, заставляя серьезно попотеть. Большой плюс в том, что игра не наказывает за ошибки, позволяя экспериментировать и искать верный путь. Иногда, конечно, не хватает подсказок, особенно когда совсем заходишь в тупик.
Несмотря на кажущуюся простоту, "Check it Out!" обладает хорошей реиграбельностью. Хочется разгадать все уровни, чтобы убедиться в своей логической смекалке. Отлично подойдет для любителей судоку и других подобных игр, которые позволяют скоротать время с пользой для ума. В целом, игра оставляет приятное впечатление и рекомендуется к ознакомлению.

Für ein kostenloses Spiel ist es ganz nett.
Es dauert nicht lange, was aber auch kein Problem ist, da es nicht sonderlich viel zu tun gibt. Man ließt, was die Charaktere einem über ihr Leben sagen, was hin und wieder recht süß ist, mich aber wie wahrscheinlich jeden echten Kassiere dann doch nicht wirklich interessiert. Dann schaut man sich die Gegenstände an, ob diese Defekt oder Abgelaufen sind oder die Charaktere Alkohol kaufen und man den Personalausweis überprüfen muss. Dann muss man die Artikel entweder in die Tüte ziehen oder weglegen. Das wars. Manchmal wird man noch überfallen und muss den Panic-Knopf drücken. All das bietet auch null Schwierigkeit. Zwei mal musste ich meinen Tag neu starten, weil Artikel durch die Theke gefallen sind.
Wirkliches kassieren macht man jedoch nicht. Weder scannt man die Artikel, noch kassiert man die Leute ab. Also das, was ich am meisten unter dem Job eines Kassierers verstehen würde. Die Kasse zeigt leider nicht mal einen Preis an.
Würde ich Geld für das Spiel zahlen? Definitiv nicht, aber so kann man nicht klagen.

Ele é super simples e rápido de jogar, é bem fofo que os personagens falam uns dos outros (de um jeito super óbvio) enquanto a gente só escuta. Jogo bem queridinho. Será que posso colocar no currículo que trabalhei como caixa?

Has potential but is missing the final 40%
I did encounter some bugs such as
-A pack of card bugging and not getting off the belt
which caused a bag of chips to mysteriously start floating
-Text boxes were reappearing
-the light to signify if it was passed or not was almost invisible.
The charter art was well done but the background left much to be desired
and it would have liked to see more interaction with the world like maybe pressing the buttons on the cash register ect
it also felt like all the items were the same, they all had the same BBD and same damage spot. it would have been cool to utilise the inscepction mechanic more to find hidden mould or a tear, and 100% items with different BBD.
1 more thing the animations were subpar to say the least..
however it looks like it was the devs first or one of their first games so ill cut them some slack

Very simple short game and the art is okay. The only thing is sometimes the stuff get stuck after you scan them and doesn't let you click or drag the item so i had to click to the police button to get the game going. Except that i think the ending was unexpectable lol.

"Check it Out!" is the lamest ripoff of "Papers, Please" I've ever seen... "Papers, Please" is a dystopian game where you act as a border inspector for an authoritarian country and make decisions around the papers provided by various individuals, a trite minigame attached to a deeper and more sinister backstory. This, on the other hand, tries to do the same thing but you're just in a supermarket and it's a bunch of badly written garbage backstories with MS-Paint backdrops. Ugh.
What do you do in the game? Mostly reading the truly awful junior high school writing while you click and swipe around to play the checkout decision making mini-game... it's truly junk. Worse, the developer couldn't even get that right so the checkout minigame bugs out and you can get softlocked. Ugh.
So this looks like an old 1990's Adobe Flash game that you might play in a web browser, and the problem there is obviously Steam wasn't intended to try compete with Chrome and Firefox. If it can be done in a web browser, it's not even close to a cutting edge PC gaming experience. That's a problem.
There's an overwhelming amount of mediocre Visual Novel/E-book style cutscenes in this game. The developers failed one of the most basic, fundamental requirements of game design.. "Show, don't tell." So you'll spend a huge amount of time not playing the game, but clicking through endless lines of poorly written VN text cutscenes because the developers couldn't work out how to relate their narrative through the game mechanics, and decided instead it would be better to compete with reading a book for your time.
We're here to play games, not read through hours of garbage intersituals. Your gaming rig is not a Kindle.
In terms of visuals, this features really godawful MS-Paint tier "art" instead of real graphics. It's hard to say if this was because the developer didn't have the skill to do the job of creating 3D visuals, or couldn't afford to hire someone who does, but it also doesn't matter. What matters is that this looks much worse than most other games because of that decision, and that's a major deterrent to gamers. The deplorably bad visuals here come across as an insult to gamers.
Now on to pricing and value for gamers.
This is "free" enough (not every "free" game in the "free" section is truly free, there's usually some hidden price tag), at least you won't be expected to spend any more money after you download this, but just because something is free doesn't mean it's good, and the cost of a game is more than just financial, your time is valuable too.
In terms of public reception, this failed. There's well over 130 million gamers on Steam. SteamDB showed the game peaked at less than 100 concurrent players, they couldn't even break three figures, and now there's basically nobody playing it. Even though it's free. This is a dismal public reception, but it's easy to see why gamers rejected it.
Since free games don't contribute to your game collector badge and other profile stuff, is this a worthwhile addition to your Steam library?
This is a hard pass. There's no immediate financial commitment, but there are thousands of more compelling games on the platform that will give you a lot more enjoyment for your time.

Got boring after some characters kept buying like 17 toothbrushes. Art styles at points didn't match and that kind of annoyed me, but didn't effect anything. I think it'd be better if we could talk back to the customers when they ask us questions. But good game if you're broke and bored like me!

I am so unsure as to how people are recommending this game... Some of the artstyles used are amazing, I personally am a fan of some of these characters. However, that is the only positive thing I could say about this game. There is no valuable story, no meaningful character growth, it is just a bunch of mixed stories that have nothing to do with you as a player. There is no reason to get into this unless you are looking to basically just waste time doing something you could easily make yourself in probably a day at most.

Casual gameplay. Starts off quite fun, but as time passes the items you have to check will be the same ones over and over again, so after a while it feels a bit boring. Customers have their own stories to tell. And now I wonder if one of the game developer used to be farmer. Not so hyped about ending.

It's a small but pleasant, casual game. You get to see the fun different overlapping stories between customers of your supermarket.
In this game you play as a cashier for a week. You check for expired stock, damaged goods and even check people's ID's. Shockingly knives don't require an ID in this game though. Alongside being a cashier the customers are coming in with their own stories. The stories are rather short and I feel they were a little rushed. Although they were rushed the stories are rather cute and quite funny to read while your scanning goods. It would have been nice to have had some steam achievements. Despite the issues of the short story and no achievements, I absolutely recommend this game. Its free, has interesting story lines and has a fun art style.
A adorable and simple little game where you are a cashier and hear bits and pieces of people's lives. I wish it had been longer however I really dont have much to complain about. The most critism I can give besides the length is sometimes the groceries glitch a bit on the belt. Besides that I loved the game! Twist ending at the end but no spoilers.

Outro ponto positivo e que eu tentei entender foi as conexões entre os personagens e as coisas que iam acontecendo aos poucos, porque além de você ser um caixa do mercado, você escuta os personagens falando sobre a vida e os relacionamentos deles.
Com relação aos pontos negativos: gostaria que fosse um jogo um pouco maior para, justamente, ter mais desenvolvimento em volta dos personagens, acharia mais divertido isso! Além disso, me entristece ter apenas um final e NENHUMA conquista.
Enfim, jogo legal, design bonitinho e o melhor: grátis!

Like Baldur's Gate 3, the worst you play, the more fun you have, I think that's the way to win in this game.
A 'panic button' at the counter?? Hahah omg genius! Go on, do what I do and just have a complete first day panic attack and watch all your customers dragged away by security guards before they made sense of what's happened to them. I did get fired extremely quickly this way, but I also managed to get the real robber thrown out, so I'd like to think I'd saved everyone at the store. Or that creepy stalker boyfriend Chad guy, i just love messing with him by swapping out all his good items for 'damage/expired'. Lovely little game, thank you for the giggles! Keep it up, this sense of humour will get you far in life :)

Este juego es un simulador de cajero de un supermercado. Tu trabajo es chequear los productos que los clientes cogen y ver si están caducados, dañados o están bien para su venta, en cuyo caso los metes en la bolsa. ¡Ojo porque las fechas están en modo estadounidense! (Mes-Día).
También tendrás que revisar el DNI/ID de algunos de ellos porque, al trabajar en un supermercado, vendes alcohol (edad legal que tienes que revisar es 21, como en EEUU). ¡Y ojo al ladrón, que aparecerá cuanto menos te lo esperes! Y sí, el botón rojo es para eso, para arrestarlo, solo para eso, por muy tentador que sea....
El juego tiene una historia en que puede desarrollarse leyendo lo que cuentan los personajes, así te vas dando cuenta de quienes son, como les ha ido, lo que intentan hacer con sus compras, y demás.

Fun cute game. I wish it was longer (like other comments said) I'd pay for a full fledged game with maybe an endless mode. Story wasn't bad either, but personally just like the inspect element of the gameplay!

Apesar da ótima ideia, o jogo deixa a desejar. Em relação à jogabilidade de caixa, a variedade de itens é inexistente, tornando um trabalho repetitivo e exaustivo depois de 10 minutos. Em relação às histórias dos personagens, são bem mal escritas, com pouco desenvolvimento e sem nexo.
Se houvessem vários produtos, a ponto de o jogador precisar de fato prestar atenção no que está fazendo, tornaria tudo um pouco mais interessante. Além disso, jogos que envolvem em 90% do tempo ouvir e ler histórias, elas devem ser envolventes, que é o que falta na escrita nesse jogo.

It's fun if you're looking for something quick as a time waster, but that's literally all it is.. a time waster. If you're good, you get fired. If you're bad, you get fired. There's quite literally no way to win this game.
