Not sure this game is worth the 71 cents I bought it for. Maybe it was dope in 2017, but here in 2026, I wanted to take off a finger for every minute the game continued to linger.

Not a fan. But if you like boring walking simulators - not that I have a problem with walking simulators, mind you, but BORING ones - this game might be the one for you.

Surrealer Walking Simulator, mit verbesserungswürdigem Voice Acting.
Die Untertitel sind leider nur Englisch oder Russisch.
Ich habe nur so halb verstanden, worum es geht.
Schöne Umgebungen und schöner Soundtrack.

Dieses Spiel war auf meinem alten PC, obwohl er die Hardware-Anforderungen erfüllt, kaum spielbar, hab's damals abgebrochen.
Im April 2025 kam unerwartet 7 Jahre nach dem Release ein umfassendes Optimierungs-Update und jetzt läuft es flüssig.

I unfortunately can't really recommend Caligo, I found it to be a bit of a dread to get through.

Like most walking sims your pace is so very slow, luckily there isn't a ton to walk to. Caligo is quite short.
However, what makes it feel like it drags on more than the slow pace is the delivery of the dialogue. Asides from the writing not being stellar (there are some interesting thoughts around through), the cadence of how the sentences are spoken is awkward. I often tried to read ahead and skip speaking.

The one positive I will give Caligo is that it is very visually interesting, the 3rd area in the game is very cozy and vibrant and the 2nd to last is very interesting to look at. Sometimes I felt like I was just a 3D camera observing someone's cool modeling assignment.

Caligo was a little tedious. I normally enjoy walking simulators. I'll admit there were some slightly interesting environments. Overall, a short linear experience featuring near constant voice-overs which were poorly acted, which totally spoils any immersion. Other reviewers are talking about how the dialogue is pseudo-intellectual rubbish that doesn't amount to anything. Frankly, I found it difficult to hold my attention on the dialogue to fully judge it.. from what I did take in, nothing of substance or relevance seemed to be said.

Tipico juego de walking simulator donde el protagonista dialoga consigo mismo sobre el significado de la vida antes de tomar una decisión sobre su destino final. Esto corresponde al 90% de los walking simulator que he jugado.

El aspecto positivo son los escenarios que crean una atmosfera muy efectiva para narrar una historia cada vez más violenta. El primer capítulo es bastante calmado gracias a la musica y como va cambiando el paisaje a algo muy fantástico y hermoso. A partir de ahí entra la decadencia hacia escenarios que reflejan la soledad, la corrupción moral en forma de carcel y la violencia. En sí la historia del protagonista no es importante pero sí la relación de la humanidad como un impetu continuo de maldad que no puede erradicarse.

El gameplay es...malo. El protagonista camina lentamente y con dialogos que intentan sonar grandilocuentes por el tema que tratan pero fallan miserablemente debido a lo dramático que suena. Es como escuchar una obra de Shakespeare sobre la fatalidad del destino pero sin entender la complejidad del tema del que intenta tratar. Si eso le sumas que es considerablemente sencillo salirse del escenario por errores de geometria de los objetos y, por tanto, quedarse atascado en los capitulos...diviertete rejugando ese capitulo en concreto y volviendo a escuchar los mismos dialogos una y otra vez.

Para los entusiastas de los logros y amigos obsesivos-compulsivos, solo hay tres logros:

- Elegir una de las dos decisiones finales al final del juego -> Para desbloquear el otro solo selecciona el ultimo capitulo.

- Obtener todos los dibujos -> Estos se encuentran en todos los niveles menos en el primer y ultimo capiutlo. Usualmente están a simple vista durante el camino principal pero en cada capitulo hay siempre un dibujo que se encuentra en una pequeña desviación. Casi siempre que hay un dialogo entre el protagonista y su "compañero moral" significa que estás bastante cerca de un dibujo.

Es un juego interesante y muy corto para los que les gusta el género pero hay mucho mejores por este mismo precio. Si lo compras, espera a que esté de oferta.

Это не та игра, где ты что-то «проходишь» в привычном смысле. Скорее это медленное, почти медитативное путешествие по чужим мыслям и ощущениям. Локации выглядят как фрагменты сна, а происходящее подаётся через образы, звук и текст, из-за чего ты не столько играешь, сколько погружаешься в настроение.

Атмосфера здесь очень сильная: тишина, музыка и визуальные эффекты создают чувство одиночества и размышления. Иногда вообще кажется, что ты не в игре, а внутри чьего-то внутреннего монолога. Caligo может показаться странной или даже скучной тем, кто ищет экшен, но для тех, кто любит атмосферные, философские проекты, она оставляет после себя тихое, но запоминающееся впечатление.

Вот именно чего я могу сказать опосля прохождения чего проекта,и вы не подумайте,это все без каких-либо неприятных эмоций!
А прямо таки наоборот,просто я нахожусь в приятном,тягучем обдумывании всего чего там было...
Есть конечно же несколько идей по поводу всего происходящего:
Мол мы есть цикл жизни и смерти,или же душа или человек?
Ибо мы проходим через одни из самых ярких ... Моментов,воспоминаний?
Будь то беззаботное детство, осознание ответственности и прочих сдерживающих факторов,эскапизм,взрослость,осознание и принятие с страшными вещами как смерть,война и несправедливость с кризисом существенная и веры...
Да и всё это приводит нас к важному выбору,продолжить всё это?
Но при этом забыв всё,кроме наших инстинктов?
Или же закончить этот путь,и выбрать забвение с покоем?
Я бы конечно выбирал первый путь,так как жить хочется,да и как можно больше и дольше :3
А о чем же я?Где оценка визуала,музыки и геймплея?
Да этот проект не про это,он даёт гораздо большее,мысли и размышления о бытие,прошлом,настоящем и конечно же будущем.
Подобного мне хватило для отличного времяпрепровождения и размышлений о вышеперечисленном да и не только...
Вот игра буквально на пару часов,должен пройти и забыть,но не же,что-то всё-таки тянет на раздумье да ковыряния - отличный проект!
Но только если вы готовы в него погрузиться!

Уникальная игра. Если попадется игроку в нужный момент, может спасти ему жизнь, спровоцировав на правильное решение. Так случилось и со мной. Я потерял веру не просто в жизнь, а в реальность, в Бытие, но игра безболезненно вправила мне мозги объективными аргументами. Спасибо автору, что поделился своей философией.

a walking simulator your an immortal being who has forgotten the past life that you have lived and you go through 5 areas to find out about yourself i found it a bit on the depressing side I do not want to spoil the story but it is a bit short i f you purchase this on sale also if you do purchase it look at the ink spot achievement guide in the discussion forum so that you can get all the ink spots . As you might not want to do a re run of the game just to get them.
it is a walking simulator so you just have to use the mouse on your computer to point that camera in the right direction
there is no rush in the game however once you move into what i would call the exit space at the end of each map the next map is loaded automatically . i would recommend this game but on sale due to the short play time and lack of content this would be good if your looking for something to play while stoned or intoxicated as you can not lose except for the ink spot thing .

Although the voice acting wasn't great, and it was a little unpolished, Caligo does have its own unique charm. There were some beautiful environments to walk though, and I took more than a few screenshots of interesting scenery. The story could have had a little more punch, but it was an inexpensive gave that I wrapped in an hour, so I will give it points for being concise in the storytelling.

Ich hab Caligo komplett durchgespielt – für schlanke 0,70 € auf Steam. Und ganz ehrlich: Für den Preis bekommt man eine visuelle und musikalische Reise, die sich sehen lassen kann.
🎨 Grafik: Für ein Spiel von 2017 sieht es erstaunlich gut aus. Die Umgebungen sind kreativ, teils surreal, und haben mich echt überrascht.
🎧 Soundkulisse & Musik: Einfach Wahnsinn. Die Musik trägt die Stimmung perfekt, und die Geräusche sorgen für eine dichte Atmosphäre. Da steckt Liebe drin.
🗣️ Sprachausgabe: Leider nur Englisch, und es gibt keine deutschen Untertitel – das hat’s mir schwer gemacht, der Story zu folgen.
🤯 Story: Und hier kommt mein Geständnis: Ich hab null verstanden, worum es eigentlich geht 😅. Es wirkt wie ein Traum, ein innerer Monolog, vielleicht eine Reise durch Erinnerungen? Keine Ahnung – aber irgendwie war’s trotzdem spannend.

Ребята из Креалит постарались: чудесные сказочные и мрачные (Caligo?) пейзажи, саундтрек, который идеально дополняет погружение в мир ну и основа всего - та самая история, сплетенная из грез и воспоминаний.

Посмотрев интервью с разработчиком, некоторые моменты игры стали понятнее - например, что автор вдохновлялся греческими мифами, рисунками польского художника Здзислава Бексиньского и адвенчурой "Тургор".

Ткнув пальцем в небо, мой выбор пал на Caligo, игру, о которой я вообще ничего не знал и никогда не слышал раньше. Итак, у главного героя опять нету имени, что печально, ведь теперь мне придëтся наделить его им самому, а вам придëтся с этим смириться. Главного героя зовут Олег. В один прекрасный день Олег умирает [spoiler]Как и все прочие Олеги до и после него.[/spoiler] Но вместо того, чтобы реинкарнировать в ином мире, став аниме девочкой-волшебницей с низким уровнем маны и запустив свой собственный исекай, он вспоминает, что является Богом [spoiler]Уверен, все Олеги думают, что они боги.[/spoiler] Возможно, нашим Богом, возможно, каким-то другим. Его божественный досуг заключается в бесконечном проживании простых человеческих жизней снова, снова и снова, чтобы затем собирать и анализировать полученные знания. Об одной из итераций Олега и пойдëт речь в Caligo, чтобы в конце предоставить нам выбор из двух стульев.

Автор через игру рефлексирует на тему того, каково это, сочинять и рассказывать истории... На первый взгляд. На самом деле, Caligo - это рефлексия автора обо всëм понемногу. Тут пытаются поднимать главные вопросы жизни, вселенной и всего такого. Получается или нет, пускай каждый сам для себя решает. Могу лишь сказать, что к каким-то уникальным или сложным выводам автор не приходит, всë довольно банально, и вы, без сомнений, уже видели или читали нечто подобное раньше.

Геймплейно Caligo - это самый наиобыкновеннийший симулятор ходьбы без каких-либо изысков. Ходим, бродим по локациям, пока нам втирают какую-то дичь на фоне. Ничего больше игра вам не предоставит. Можно иногда подбирать рисунки, разбросанные то тут, то там, но это - такое себе. Так что, называть Caligo "игрой" довольно сложно, но, сравнивая еë с The Dark Queen of Mortholme, можно.

Чего у Caligo не отнять, так это визуал. Нарисованы локи, по которым мы ходим, бродим, достойно, однако, довольно стандартно. Вот тебе дефолтный лес с гиго-грибами, вот тебе дефолтная тюрьма с круговой лестницей. Пара интересных уровней, конечно, присутствует, но проходятся они за несколько минут, а их всего 7, что суммарно в общей сложности, посмотрев на каждый гриб и камень, даëт нам где-то час ходьбы.

Осталось обсудить только звуковую составляющую, и тут двоякая ситуация. С одной стороны у нас хороший, приятный саундтрек, играющий на атмосферу, под который ходить, бродить становится не так скучно, с другой - русская озвучка. Я в играх всегда обычно ставлю русский текст и английский звук, если такая возможность есть [spoiler]Помогает прокачивать навыки владения языка.[/spoiler], но тут русская игра от русской студии, значит стоит играть с русскими голосами. И... видно, что за персонажей говорили разработчики, но никак не актëры. Чем дольше ты их слушаешь, тем больше понимаешь, что люди просто зачитывали текст, а не пытались отыгрывать роли. Где надо голос повысить, они шепчат, где надо паузу поставить, они тараторят, да и ударения в некоторых предложениях расставлены неправильно. Видно, что подчеркнуть нужно эту часть, но упор делают на другую, и так далее.
Upd.: Пройдя игру ещë раз с английской озвучкой, я понял, что она [b]ЕЩË[/b] хуже, поэтому играйте с русскими голосами. Они хотя бы стихи хорошо читают.

Нууууу... В целом... С натяжечкой... Пойдëт. Игра недорогая, по скидке, так вообще копейки стоит, короткая, есть карточки и изи платина. Один часик ей уделить вполне себе можно, если делать нечего. Мне же она бесплатно досталась, так что я доволен.

Walking simulator with beautiful graphics. Seriously. I took sooo many screenshots, especially in the first half of the game. It's truly atmospheric and has an interesting story where you have to choose your future at the end after going through brief glimpses of your memories. It almost feels like you're walking through a dream.

I couldn't believe I finished the game in an hour and a half. It felt longer because of the slower walking speed and because of the amount of time I spent trying to get the "perfect" screenshots to use as backgrounds for my PC desktop. 😂

Upon finishing the game, you can use chapter select to see the other ending which I appreciated. <3

Смердящий вонючий кал, даже для 2017 года. Зачем я вообще это купил? Поиграл 20 минут и решил сделать рефанд, а не могу, т.к. куплено больше 2 недель назад (благо по скидке взял). Отвратительная графика, оптимизация и повествование с САМЫМ медленным хождением в симуляторах ходьбы. Озвучка настолько плохая, что вызывает истеричный смех и отвращение. Единственный плюс игры - музыка, а в остальном.. ну это прям плохо. Прошел до конца: общее прохождение занимает 60-70 минут. Более отвратительного проекта я давно ещё не играл на просторах в Steam. Купился на скриншоты, положительные отзывы и трейлер.. игра для "нетакусь филосафав". Жалею, что потратил на это деньги, хоть и несущественные.

Давайте поговорим об игре, которая вас точно удивит, — Caligo! Знаете, это такой загадочный мир, в который вы попадаете, как будто вступаете в мифическую сказку, где есть и загадочные существа, и головоломки, и, конечно же, шепчущие ветры, которые рассказывают вам о своих секретах. Неплохо, да?

Так, начнём с погружения. Caligo встречает нас атмосферой, похожей на туманное утро, когда вы открываете глаза и понимаете, что ваш любимый тост с джемом пропал, а вы, как всегда, опоздали на работу. Мир здесь полон загадок и непростых решений, и единственный способ выяснить, что к чему — это, собственно, взять и исследовать!

Теперь о геймплейе — это просто звезды! Вы играете за летающее создание (да-да, со спинкой как у дракона, с крылышками и всеми делами), которое исследует тот самый мир, полный тайн. Тут есть не только возможность летать, но и управлять потоком света. Звучит круто, правда? Свет — это ваша суперсила! Головоломки в Caligo — это тот ещё фестиваль ума! Они действительно заставляют вас ломать мозг, но не в том смысле, как вы пытаетесь вспомнить, где оставили ключи, а скорее как будто участвуете в чемпионате мира по шахматам с морским львом. Даже если вам кажется, что вы попали в тупик, решение, как правило, оказывается на самом виду, просто требует немного светового душевного подхода.

А теперь о графике — это же просто искусство! Каждый кадр, каждая текстура создает атмосферу и настроение, аж захватывает дыхание. Как будто художник наливал краски на холст, не жалея камней, и в итоге мы получили настоящую картину с причудливыми формами и мрачной элегантностью. И, что примечательно, все выглядит так, как будто вы попали в страну, где все возможно, и каждый шаг может привести к новому открытию.

Звучит мир тоже достойно отдельного упоминания! Звуки — это настоящая симфония. Как только вы включаете игру, сразу погружаетесь в волшебный мир, где нежные мелодии сливаются с шёпотом ветра, а каждый звук наполняет атмосферу, как будто вы собираетесь создать шедевр в музыкальном произведении. Это как если бы Моррисси и Бьорк решили записать саундтрек к вашему любимому отпуску!

Caligo is an okay atmospheric, walking simulator now then what's the story. A man wakes up in a strange room knowing he has died; now he must explore his memories as he must decide his ultimate fate.

Now it's like time, the story was okay a bit complex and I didn't really understand a lot of it, but if I could take a guess feels like a meditation on dreams, stories and how they shape our world I think, I'm not like a philosophy major or anything like that. The gameplay is okay it's honestly just a simple walking simulator, get to point A to point B with some cutscenes in between nothing really that interesting, but not bad either.

The graphics is really good nice and colorful with plenty of great designs that really sell the whole other worldly, after life look to the whole thing. The levels are good a little diverse with some nice locations to see and explore a little bit, my personal favorite has to be the third level, it has this beautiful Forest that kind of gives off a Hundred Acre Woods kind of vibe.

The characters were okay they were there to serve the plot and nothing else, they didn't really have any unique personalities but I did like their designs I think the torture demon, the oracle and the master are particularly the best as those three wouldn't be out of place in a doom game.

The music is very good they were really relaxing to listen too; I'm honestly surprised that there isn't a soundtrack DLC with this game. The voice acting is okay each voice actor did a good job in voicing their respected characters, like the master he felt other worldly and alien.

Now it's dislike time, well I said the gameplay was okay but it can get a little dull as again it's just a walking simulator, there's no items to pick up or monsters to hide from or even like puzzles to solve, it's simply again get to point A to point B with cutscenes in between. Also throughout the game there are these Pages you can get that has these nice pictures, the problem with it is that you can't really look at them after you've collected them. In other games you'd have like an extras mode where you could see them, but in this game it doesn't have that which really sucks.

The game is also very short you could probably beat it in less than an hour if you're not going to go after all the achievements. Finally the game is a bit pricey I mean it's practically $6 and I don't know I played plenty of free games that had more to offer than this game.

Alright then with that done Caligo is an okay atmospheric, walking simulator, it has okay gameplay, good levels and very good music. Now do I recommend this game, not really I mean it's not a bad game it's just I played plenty of other cheap and free games that had a lot more to offer, but if you want to get this game I'd say wait till it's on sale to save a couple of bucks.

Сегодня я хочу рассказать вам про небольшой симулятор ходьбы от отечественных разрабов - Caligo.

Всю игру можно пройти за час, если конечно вы не играете как я и не пытаетесь пройти каждый доступный миллиметр игры. Я прошел на 2 концовки за три часа)

Сюжет игры это что-то возвышенно-философское. При чем как по мне в игре пытаются подать две мысли. От того наверное и две концовки.
Одна мысль про жизнь ее вдохновенность, надежду. О сохранении внутреннего ребенка и о мимолетности времени.
И вторая, о вечной гонке, о бессмысленном стремление к величию, о конфликтах из-за собственного скудоумия.

Но думаю каждый сможет увидеть в игре и что-то свое, что-то уникальное. Ведь философия играет на нотках души, а души у всех уникальные)

Картинка у игры красивая и разноплановая. Есть яркие и красочные моменты, есть же серые и невзрачные. Игра подает свои мысли контрастом окружения.

Если любите такие жанры, то рекомендую, пробежать вечерком под сериальчик или какой-то чемпионат самое то.

Beautiful graphics but lacking in substance and devoid of meaningful content. All of the philosophical ideas in the game come from poorly-acted voiceovers and dialogue, and the ideas aren't even new or profound—they were just the usual drivel about life on earth being ♥♥♥♥ and choosing between consciousness and oblivion. Honestly, the script sounded like it was written by a college freshman who had just taken their first Philosophy class.

The places to explore didn't even seem that relevant to the ideas being talked about, making it seem like all the philosophy talk was just there to give the illusion of substance. There were scenes with [spoiler]a shipwreck, a prison, and a battle[/spoiler] but these were only tangential to the ideas expressed through the dialogue. There was no central, unifying entity (a character or event, for example) to give the ideas a more concrete anchor to reality, so it just felt like the characters were talking out their asses.

The gameplay was unexpectedly boring. And this is coming from me, a person who enjoys walking simulators and seeks them out on Steam. I don't know how the game became so boring that it had me falling asleep in the middle of playing it. I've played liminal space games that have even less to see, yet they didn't put me to sleep as much as this game did. I attribute my complete lack of engagement with the game to the extremely slow walking speed and to the slow, plodding cadence of the voice acting. Put those two together and you get a real snoozefest.

The only thing I really enjoyed about this game was the graphics, walking around beautiful virtual places. Too bad my enjoyment was hampered by the slow pace, dull voice acting, and poor presentation of philosophical ideas.

If you're still interested in playing the game, do not buy it at full price. Even if the game had been really good, it was still too short to buy it at the original price. I got it 88% off, so I'm not that mad about spending an hour and a half playing it. That being said, games like [i]The Town of Light[/i] and [i]Dear Esther[/i] do a much, much better job at creating an atmospheric experience with beautiful visuals and a satisfying story told quite well.

Я просто периодически возвращался, чтобы дособрать пропущенные рисунки, а так бы тоже пробежался достаточно быстро. В целом это самая обычная индюшатина, которая не претендует на что-то гениальное, и я в процессе прохождения даже не был уверен, что поставлю игре "палец вверх". Причины объясню ниже. Но финал всё изменил. Это, разумеется, мои личные впечатления, и они могут не совпасть с вашими, так что решать только вам. [/b]

Знаете, сюжет описать очень сложно. Архисложно. Просто капец как сложно. А всё потому, что я сам поначалу не до конца в него въехал. Что-то возвышенно-философское, сподвигающее игрока... нет, не на размышления, а на небольшой пинок разрабам. Ладно, всё же попробую.

Кто есть главный герой - непонятно. Как он здесь оказался - непонятно. Впрочем, где это самое "здесь" - тоже непонятно. Наш протагонист встречает странного мужика, "мастера", и вступает с ним в диалог. Далее следуют тонны предложений, направленных на то, чтобы игрок проникся. Я проникся. Но это не точно.

Наше путешествие по миру сопровождается точно такими же пространными рассуждениями о смысле бытия и воспоминаниями протагониста о своей жизни. Интересно? Я бы не сказал. Уж очень много намёков и воды. И всё это с претензией на очень философскую философию. Мол, если не понял, то тупой.

Но! Всё изменила концовка. Не могу сказать, что до меня дошли каждая фраза и каждый намёк. Нет! Однако общий посыл уловил, причём при помощи стихотворения Иосифа Бродского "Пилигримы". Так уж совпало, что именно "Пилигримы" когда-то давно оставили неизгладимый след в моей подростковой душе, именно это стихотворение заставило сердце биться чаще, а прогулявшиеся по моей спине мурашки были одеты в чугунные ботинки.

Так что да. Лично для меня финал однозначно попал в яблочко. Стало понятно, что герои игры - те самые пилигримы, что идут сквозь время и воспоминания к одним им известной цели. И эту цель начинаем потихонечку видеть и мы. Жизнь. Пока ты движешься вперёд, ты живёшь.

Герой движется по локациям, внимательно рассматривая окружающий его пейзаж, подбирает рисунки (Очивка, чтоб ей икалось) и разговаривает с невидимым собеседником. В процессе разговора он замирает на месте. Текст пропускать нельзя, а разговаривают прогуливающиеся товарищи очень неторопливо. Им некуда спешить. Не, так-то нам в игре тоже некуда спешить, но это немного раздражало, если честно. Именно тут и появилось непреодолимое желание влепить игре "палец вниз". Но я дотерпел до конца и не пожалел.

Вот и весь игровой процесс. Просто идём, просто смотрим, просто подбираем рисунки, просто слушаем диалоги.

A charming little walking sim that tries to address philosophical approaches to life, death, and what might come after. The most common downsides to games like this are certainly present - too slow of a walking speed, no interactivity with the environment, dodgy voice acting. But the music is quite decent, the levels are well-laid out, and the visuals are excellent. I lingered in each of the environments, just soaking up the atmosphere. That's probably why my play time is around an hour and a half - if I hadn't peeked into every little nook and cranny it probably would have taken me only about an hour. But I picked this up on sale for less than a dollar, and it was definitely a dollar well spent.

Caligo est un petit simulateur de marche atmosphérique. C'est une histoire interactive où vous devez principalement regarder et écouter. L'histoire en bref, Caligo est l'obscurité dans laquelle tout le monde descend d'une manière ou d'une autre, et pour chacun de nous, c'est quelque chose de différent. Pour certains, c'est une courte, mais passionnante aventure, certains le verront comme un endroit pour se détendre. D'autres seront rappelés de leur pire cauchemar, tandis que pour quelques-uns, cela pourrait venir comme une révélation. Une chose est cependant certaine : tout le monde devra répondre à une grande question.

L'histoire est très intéressante. Je me suis complètement immergé dans cette histoire et je suis resté immergé jusqu'à la fin. L'atmosphère est excellente, elle décrit bien l'ambiance. La bande-son transmet parfaitement l'atmosphère. Le jeu est bon et donnera à réfléchir. Vous recevrez 3 cartes sur 6 et 3 succès facilement. Je recommande ce jeu.

Really impressed by this game, definitely a walking simulator done well.
It has beautiful graphics with different environments and enjoyable fitting sound tracks to keep high the amusement along the journey. It also features a good voice acting so the story is presented in form of dialogs rather than just reading all the time. The story is some philosophical take on life and death, no need to spoiler about.

Das Game habe ich mir bereits im Mai 2024 auf Steam direkt gekauft. Ich bin zwar kein großer Fan von derartigen "Walking-Simulatoren", jedoch hat mich der Trailer des Spiels schon etwas angetan. Dementsprechend habe ich mir mal das Game etwas genauer angeschaut und übermittle euch nun meine persönliche Meinung über das besagte Spiel.

Das Spiel "Caligo" wurde 2017 von "Krealit" entwickelt als auch veröffentlicht und beinhaltet wie bereits erwähnt einen sogenannten "Walking-Simulator", bei dem man durch verschiedene Abschnitte geht und währenddessen eine kleine Geschichte erzählt bekommt. In diesem Fall fokussiert sich die Geschichte auf den Tod sowie das Leben danach und stellt dir teils sehr philosophische Fragen diesbezüglich, welche dich wiederum als Spieler zum Nachdenken anregen sollen. Man selbst bewegt sich also durch insgesamt sechs lineare Level, die jeweils optisch und farblich unterschiedlich gestaltet sind, um verschiedene Emotionen hervorzurufen. Dabei interagiert man automatisch mit der Umgebung, welche die Geschichte
wiederum vorantreibt. Leider gibt es keine zusätzlichen Rätsel, sondern lediglich nur ein paar Bilder, welche man unterwegs einsammeln kann. Die visuelle Gestaltung ist beeindruckend und schafft eine stimmungsvolle Atmosphäre. Jeder Abschnitt des Spiels hat seinen eigenen grafischen Stil, der durch abwechslungsreiche Musik von klassischen Instrumenten untermalt wird. Das Spiel kostet übrigens rund 6€ und beinhaltet sogar 3 Errungenschaften, welche man mit mindestens 2 Durchläufen freischalten kann. Pro Durchlauf braucht man ungefähr 1,5 bis maximal 2,5 Stunden.

Ich persönlich finde, dass diese zwar relativ kurze, jedoch sehr schön umgesetzte Geschichte durchaus bei vielen Spielern punkten kann. Mich hat das Spiel mit seinem Thema extrem abgeholt und im Zusammenhang mit der bereits erwähnten visuellen Darstellung sogar etwas erstaunt. Die Grafiken wirken schon teils künstlerisch gezeichnet, was das Feeling umso besser gemacht hat, wie ich selbst empfinde. Allem in allem, ein super gelungener "Walking Simulator", welcher Fans des Genres durchaus mal ausprobieren sollten. Macht euch am besten ein eigenes Bild davon. Müsst ihr wissen.

Я в ШОКЕ от этой игры! Это просто что-то с чем-то в хорошем смысле этих слов. Эта игра подарила мне незабываемые эмоции! По ней можно неприкословно снимать фильмы. Графика - на высшем уровне!, даже на очень слабом ПК как мой! Сюжет - на высшем уровне! Озвучка - на высшем уровне! Это ребята совсем без приувеличений, я даже преуменьшаю :). Спасибо всем авторам этой идеи. Я полчусил коламальное удовльствие от времяпривождения здесь. Надеюсь что будут ище такие шедевры от вас!.

Начала понемного проходить игры купленные по акции много времени назад.На глаза попалась эта игра

После установки был очень долгий запуск+невозможно пройти до маяка(первая локация)+тормознутая камера и застревание в текстурах. Перепсиховалась и уже практически собралась ее удалить, т.к по мин.требованиям все должно быть нормально.
В итоге решила дать игре второй шанс ,поставила минимальные разрешения по графике в настройках игры+выставила настройки по совместимости в папке с игрой.И о чудо,игра полетела и перестала раздражать))

Особо ничего делать не надо, ни загадок,а просто наслаждаться атмосферой и красивой графикой, прошла игру достаточно быстро, надоесть не успела!разргузить голову и задуматься о насущном это то ,что надо)

I picked this up very early in my gaming interests and never tried it until now, but by now I know that this is not the sort of game I’d ever pick up.

Крайне противоречивое творение. Симулятор ходьбы? Однозначно. Никакого интерактива, кроме хождения взад-вперед и редкого клацанья мышкой во время сбора разбросанных рисунков. Непродолжительный? Да, займет от силы час даже со всеми аж тремя достижениями. Философский? Вполне, иногда даже через край. Захватывающий? А вот не то чтобы очень. Очередной сказ о жизни и не жизни.

Подача истории очень странная. В ней не ощущается целостности, лишь набор образов, следующих друг за другом в одной только авторам понятной последовательности. Но локации впечатляют – красивые, пугающие, гнетущие. И музыка им под стать. Нахожу забавным тот факт, что уровни, демонстрирующие мрачную сторону человечества, вышли более интересными и завлекающими, нежели то, как преподнесли мечты и надежды.

Осмысленных диалогов не замечено. Беседы пресные, мысли перескакивают с одной на другую. К тому же, выбранные для озвучивания голоса совершенно не подходят для такого повествования, причем что в русской, что в английской вариациях. Может быть, именно поэтому, а может, по какой другой причине, но общая идея ускользнула от меня. Либо «понять всю глубину наших глубин» не удалось, либо претенциозности в игре больше, чем смысла.

Что больше всего завлекло? Атмосфера, игра с образами и проникновенные стихи в финале. Что оттолкнуло? Скверная оптимизация и вторичность сюжета. Всё это уже неоднократно рассказано и не раз показано. Но право на жизнь проект однозначно имеет.

Ein wirklich beeindruckendes, künstlerisches Meisterwerk!

Ich kann es noch gar nicht fassen, dass diese kleine Indieperle von fast ausschließlich einer Person entworfen worden ist, und zudem im Angebot für den Minipreis von lediglich 49 Cent verkauft wird.
Wenn man auf der Suche nach einem Walking-Simulator ist, der einem den Abend versüßt, dann ist man hier absolut an der richtigen Adresse!

Im Prinzip durchlebt man lediglich in 5 unterschiedlichen Abschnitten diverse Szenen seines Lebens.
Man sammelt einige Skizzenbilder ein und unterhält sich mit mit einer anderen Person.
Das tolle ist jedoch die Präsentation und der grandiose Sound, was dem Spiel die ganz spezielle Note gibt, und es zu etwas ganz besonderem macht.
Man sollte sich wirklich die Zeit nehmen und sich alles in Ruhe anschauen, auch wegen den Sammelbildern, die man sonst verpasst, wenn man sofort direkt zum nächsten Szenenpunkt geht.

Die Spielzeit beträgt vermutlich nur 90 bis 120 Minuten, aber für das Geld ist das ein absoluter No-Brainer, ein Pflichtkauf.
Obendrauf bekommt man mit wenig Aufwand einen 100% Spielstand und Sammelkarten.
Ich lade noch ein paar hübsche Bilder hoch, ohne dabei die wichtigsten Dinge zu zeigen.
Ihr könnt euch drauf verlassen, dass euch spätestens das letzte bildgewaltige Szenario dann voll und ganz aus den Socken hauen wird.
Der Künstler muss eine Ewigkeit dabei gesessen haben, das so perfekt zu inszenieren und zu gestalten.
So etwas herzhaftes schaffen nur noch Indie-Projekte, Triple-A ist dagegen Kinderkacke und nur noch Gelddruckerei für Aktionäre, wirklich!
Meinen absolut großen Respekt dafür!

Fazit: kaufen, kaufen, kaufen! :-)

Not bad really, I'm a fan of walking sims and this one is no disgrace, with a bit of horror thrown in, but it's an average rating from me as it seems quite poorly optimised and runs choppily in parts. The very slow movement speed, with no option to run, is also difficult to recommend. Also, there's no footsteps sound, which breaks the immersion somewhat. The story starts out interesting but doesn't seem to tie up together in a satisfying way, but hey, I guess it could mean different things to different people. Not one to avoid as such, but there are better walking simulators or pure narrative adventures out there for a similar price or even free, and many often have some light puzzle elements thrown in, which Caligo doesn't.

Das Spiel ist super für Menschen die sich mit Fragen befassen nach dem Tod, Leben und... dem Leben nach dem Tod und dem Sinn des Lebens überhaupt. Nette Anregungen. Super kreativ gestaltete Level mit tollem Soundtrack.

I am basing my review on only the first two chapters.
SADLY it has massive problems loading. I can't get onto the OAK chapter, not even on lowest setting!

A short review for a short game. (You likely will finish the game before getting all your card drops)

The game takes the form of a walking simulator, except there is a bit of running dialogue between you the protagonist, and another being, also you, that functions very much like an antagonist. The dialogue is probably the best part of the game, but the visuals are impressive as well - it looks better than Skyrim graphics, to give you an idea.

Despite the plodding pace and no option to run, there are a few collectables in the form of photos, or drawings. As you walk through the highly linear story, you see a few different environments, but the dialogue is where it truly shines - more of a philosophical debate on the nature of humanity than anything. I didn't like the voice actor for the antagonist though. He came across as a bit too whimsical and comically deep.

I won't get into the details of the dialogue, I leave that for you to discover and ponder - and perhaps even despair over - in your own time.

[b]Gameplay[/b]

Die Geschichte dreht sich im Wesentlichen - ohne zu spoilern - um den Tod beziehungsweise es dreht sich um die Frage nach dem oder einem Leben nach dem Tod. Hierzu bewegen wir uns durch sechs schlauchartige Level, die allesamt individuell gestaltet sind und durch ihre farbliche Variation unterschiedliche Emotionen vermitteln sollen. Uns begegnen dabei auch diverse Charaktere mit denen wir sprachlich interagieren. Rätsel, Spiele oder ähnliches gibt es nicht, dafür drei Errungenschaften von denen eine das Sammeln von 20 Bildern voraussetzt.

Die Grafik ist recht imposant und atmosphärisch. Der Wechsel der sechs Level, sowohl farblich als auch musikalisch, verspricht Abwechslung.

Die akustische Untermalung passt hierbei ganz gut. Zum Einsatz kommen hier vornehmlich klassische Instrumente von Violinen bis hin zu Orgelklängen, sodass die Spanne der Melodien von freudig-entspannt bis feurig-schnell reicht. Die englische Synchronisation ist tadellos, wobei das auch der einzige Wermutstropfen ist; eine deutsche Übersetzung fehlt! Einzige Alternative ist russisch.

[b]Fazit[/b]

Für 0,99 Euro erhält man ein durchaus atmosphärisches Spiel. Einziges Manko ist die Laufgeschwindigkeit an sich, die doch recht lahm ist, sofern man die fehlende deutsche Übersetzung vernachlässigt. Das ist allerdings auch den Dialogen geschuldet (sofern man sie nicht skippt), die ansonsten zum Teil noch nicht fertig wären, sobald man am Ziel respektive Levelende angekommen ist. Mit circa 90 bis 120 Minuten Spielzeit hat man einen doch recht kurzweiligen Abend. Das Genre gefällt sicher nicht jedem und insofern eine eingeschränkte Empfehlung!

Решил купить игру на распродаже, тем паче, что стоила она копейки, рублей 18ть что ли.
Для начала спасибо авторам за цитату поэмы "Пилигримы" Бродского, которую я никогда не слышал. Поэма сильная, запала. Что до игры, это эмоциональная игра, игра-эмоция. Ждать вызова для своих рефлексов не стОит. А вот задуматься над кое-чем можно. Тем более, там красной нитью по ходу игры проходит тема войны.

🎤 Вступление

Неожиданно для себя открыл короткую, но весьма любопытную игру, от российских разработчиков из Красноярска. Ранее ребята не снискали особой популярности в инди-сегменте, создав два проекта, совершенно в другом жанре и тем удивительней, было увидеть от них игру-приключение, с видом от первого лица, с приятной графикой и великолепным геймдизайном.

🎬 Cюжет

Сюжет о путешествии человека (души) в пограничном мире, созданном на основе образов и воспоминаний из его жизни.

По большей части сюжет опирается на философские рассуждения о жизненном пути человека, попытках найти себя и свою роль в мире, о проблемах и сомнениях, которые настигают любого, кто рано или поздно задумался о смысле бытия.

Очень понравилось как были обыграны лучшие эпизоды жизни главного героя. В первой половине прохождения, игра наполняет приятным оптимизмом и тёплыми эмоциями, позже переходя к более сложным темам, связанными с человеческими пороками, страданиями и потерей жизненного ориентира.

🎮 Геймплей

Классический симулятор ходьбы по ограниченному пространству, где игроку отводится роль практически пассивного наблюдателя. На протяжении всего путешествия, главный герой будет вести диалог с неким мастером и вместе с ним вспоминать и анализировать свои самые памятные моменты из прошедшей жизни.

Несмотря на простоту геймплея, Caligo, буквально с первых секунд очаровывает своим мистическим и необычным сеттингом, очень разнообразными и красивыми уровнями, а также основной историей.

🚧 Остальное

Был очень впечатлён арт дизайном, стилем, антуражем и загадочной атмосферой этой игры. Все локации максимально разные, со своим отдельным настроением и тематикой. Очень креативно подошли к созданию сюрреалистичных мест с использованием символичных предметов и объектов из жизни главного героя. Вообще, не припоминаю игр, где я, был бы, настолько увлечён игровым пространством. Есть у Caligo какое-то необъяснимо-притягательное обаяние.

Не скажу, что игра выглядит технологичной, тем не менее, здесь проведена прекрасная работа с освещением, палитрой цветов и стилистикой всех локаций.

Очень понравилось звуковое сопровождение. Для каждого уровня был написан свой тематический саундтрек, прекрасно дополняющий общее настроение каждого из отдельных миров. Также порадовала, качественная русская озвучка диалогов. Актеры хорошо передали каждую эмоцию в нужном тоне и с правильной интонацией, отчего история воспринимается ещё лучше.

Короткое, но очень яркое и запоминающееся приключение, с философскими размышлениями о роли человеческой жизни и мироздании.

Визуал крайне замечательный, игра на регулярной основе генерирует очень приятные глазу и в целом интересные пейзажи, музыка также отличная...
Игра отдавала для меня немного атмосферой тургора, со всеми этими сюрреалистичными пейзажами, некоторыми элементами музыки, окружения, даже стишком в конце, что лично мне ну никак не могло НЕ понравится, тургор все же моя любимая игра.

Но имейте в виду что диалоги невероятно душные, на регулярной основе вас будут останавливать без возможности даже крутить камерой чисто чтобы вы послушали очередной мутный но ультрапафосный диалог, что откровенно задалбывает, не упоминая что озвучка тут вообще ситуации не помогает, при всем уважении...

И тем не менее, игра стоит меньше пачки дошика, о чем мы вообще? Да и как визуальный экспириенс она все же хороша. Я все

I, of all people, for what should be obvious reasons, wanted to like this game and to recommend it, but I didn't and I don't. Beautiful graphics and fantastical environments are marred by sophomoric metaphysics and stilted, poorly-scripted dialogue that is painful to listen to and largely incomprehensible.

The story is set in a universe created by one half of an entity who looks like a pagan leather fetishist in a BDSM hellscape, which is where all the promise of this game both begins and ends. This entity's hardcore death metal appearance is belied by his voice, that of a pretentious English gentleman who's been punched square in the nose, and has so much gauze packed up his nostrils he's transitioned from haughty nasality to slack-jawed mouth breather. His human other-half, on the other hand, stumbles through his lines with the monotonous indifference of a man who would rather be anywhere else than where he is right now, yet they were both voiced by the same person.

The shoddy voice acting could be forgiven had the story been solid, but the story is told through dialogue and the dialogue is, as mentioned, incomprehensible. Here's one choice exchange:

Master: I [i]like[/i] this place. The world you live in, is too . . . vaaaain. There's too much bustle. Too many thoughts, and worries.
Protagonist: And what's the point of all this.
Master: That's not how [i]I[/i] see it. It's just that in all this swirling, you need to find strength, to swim, in the right direction?
Protagonist: You might be right. You should know better. After all, I only bring you the building blocks to extend reality.

What the serious ****? Clearly they were going for something deep and meaningful, but for the life of me I couldn't tell you what that something was. The entire experience feels like the half-remembered fever dream of a softboi at the bottom of a k-hole, and I'm his date forced to listen to him mansplain how I, too, should be moved by his beautiful mind.

Honestly not worth it, even on sale.
