Just beat this game all in one sitting, and wow, what a game! Genuinely an amazing experience. Very fun gameplay, great soundtrack, amazing visuals, and for free?!?! Incredible!!! I highly recommend this, way better than other games which are similar, like Hades. Man I hate Hades, mainly cause that game overstays its welcome, and is way too long considering how little content it really has. This game though? It's perfect! Mild bits of dialogue here and there, which serves actual purposes and don't drag on, spouting nonsense, but things of actual importance within the game's story. And the game gives you lots of enviorments to explore, and things to gather, but it doesn't punish you if you book it straight towards the major boss fights, which are great btw! This game respects the players time, and despite how much work it must have taken to make such an amazing protect like this, it's absolutely free!! I love this game, and would recommend it to pretty much anyone! I will say it was a little easy for me, having only died once against the final, final boss, but that's okay! I've played a lot of games like this, so, don't let my judgement of the difficultly sway you either way. It's very fun, go play it!

Odd adventure about foul beings(get it) in hell blasting energy and lasers at each other until you die a meteor storm of projectiles and intense overstimulation. Mixed bag of positives and negatives here. Every mechanic feels somewhat clunky and not explored well enough, but also when stuff does work it feels pretty cool. Gem upgrades don’t feel very impactful or thought out and main upgrades often feel somewhat worthless and unusable mid fight(laser and grappling hook particularly). Bosses are pretty meh too, although they do have some cool factor they often drag for so long and aren’t ultimately aren’t that interesting. Although I will say I quite liked the final boss, probably a highlight of the game overall, even if it dragged. The story wasn’t something I cared for all that much either. I had some decent fun and it wasn’t too long to not be beatable, but some polish would be appreciated and much needed when the sequel comes.

В этом игре есть и прокачка, приятный пиксельный дизайн, хороший геймплей с главным героем в качестве Гуся, который прорывается в глубины Ада к Сатане. Прошел за 5 часов и выбил все достижения в этой игре, приятная платина.
Если вы хотите хорошо провести вечер, то эта игра явно подойдёт для вас! Ещё у этой игры должна выйти вторая часть, но о нем на данный момент как-то ни слова, ни духу. А жаль, хотелось бы увидеть новую часть, за такую игру можно и денюжку заплатить, она заслуживает того!

I went into this game with zero expectations. It's free, it's made by three students, and the title is literally "Bloody Hell." I expected a janky five-minute meme game that I'd uninstall immediately.
What I got instead was one of the most polished, charming, and genuinely well-designed indie games I've played in years. The fact that this is free is genuinely absurd.
**The Good:**
- **It's free. No, really—FREE.** I need to emphasize this because it doesn't feel free. This feels like a $10-15 indie title that belongs in the conversation with Enter the Gungeon and Hollow Knight. There are no microtransactions, no ads, no "pay to unlock the rest." It's just... a complete, polished game. For nothing.
- **The gameplay is tight.** Twin-stick shooter controls that feel snappy and responsive. You've got your main gun, a dash (with a double dash upgrade later), and a grapple hook that makes traversal genuinely fun. There's even a "bullet time" slow-mo effect when you dodge at the last second—it feels incredibly satisfying.
- **The upgrade system is genuinely clever.** Instead of just buying stat upgrades, you collect these little vial-shaped items that you have to fit into a Tetris-style grid. Different vials have different shapes, and you can expand the grid over time. It's like a little puzzle every time you find a new upgrade, trying to optimize your build. The hearts are shaped like actual human hearts, which made me laugh.
- **The world is a joy to explore.** It's a Metroidvania-style interconnected map. You'll unlock abilities that let you revisit old areas and find secrets. - **The writing is genuinely funny.** It's not trying to be a serious epic. Your character is named Azrael, you're sent by God to kill Satan, and along the way you meet weird NPCs including a pigeon named St. Peter who has a mustache. There's an Overwatch McCree reference, some ancient internet memes, and a surprising amount of heart.
- **Perfect length.** Main story took me about 3-4 hours. 100% completion is around 5 hours. It doesn't overstay its welcome, and I actually want to go back and do another run to try different upgrade builds.
- **Runs on anything.** Steam Deck runs it flawlessly (though no cloud saves, so progress won't sync between devices). My mid-range desktop had zero issues.
**The Bad (Minor Nitpicks):**
- **The battle theme gets repetitive.** There's really only one combat track, and by the final areas you'll have heard it a lot. A remix or second track would've helped.
- **No cloud saves.** If you switch between PC and Steam Deck, you'll have to manually transfer your save or start over.
- **Controller prompts are Xbox-only.** I use a DualSense, and the game shows Xbox button icons. It's a small thing, but worth noting.
- **The map can be hard to read sometimes.** A few areas look similar, and I got turned around once or twice. Nothing major.
- **I wanted more.** This is almost a compliment—it's so good that I wish there was another 10 hours of content.
**Quick Tips:**
- **Play with a controller.** Twin-stick shooters are just better with a gamepad. Keyboard and mouse works, but controller feels natural.
- **Explore everywhere.** The game rewards backtracking. When you get a new ability (double dash, grapple, etc.), go back to old areas. There are secrets everywhere.
- **Don't sleep on the upgrade grid.** Experiment with different vial combinations. The shapes matter—plan your grid layout or you'll waste space.
- **Use the rage heal.** Holding down the button lets you trade your rage meter for healing. It takes a few seconds and leaves you stationary, so find a safe moment, but it's a lifesaver in boss fights.
- **Dash is your best friend.** You get invincibility frames when you dash. Learn to use it defensively.
- **Talk to every NPC.** The writing is part of the charm. Don't skip it.
- **Save the baby chickens.** They're hidden around the world. Finding them is its own little side quest.
- **If you love it, buy the soundtrack.** It's the only way to support the developers since the game itself is free. Three students made this in their spare time—they deserve it.

Bloody Hell is proof that passion and talent matter more than budget. Three students from the Netherlands made a game that puts plenty of paid indie titles to shame. The fact that this is free feels like a gift. I kept waiting for the catch—the microtransaction pop-up, the "pay $10 to unlock the rest of the game," the ad break. It never came. It's just... a complete game. Given away. Because they wanted to.
If you like Enter the Gungeon, The Binding of Isaac, Hollow Knight, or just good games in general, download this immediately. It's three hours of your life that you will not regret. And if you do regret it? It cost you nothing.
This is one of the best free games on Steam, and I genuinely can't wait to see what Pun Intended makes next.

This was genuinely such a fun game for a new bullet hell player. 10/10 for the gameplay mechanics. Deaths don't feel unfair in almost any fight or gauntlet.

The dialogue leaves much to be desired. I didn't find any of the characters particularly compelling. The gameplay is alright. There are a lot of attacks and behaviors that mirror Enter The Gungeon. Theres a lot that could be polished but overall a good, quick, FREE game.

怪的种类也很少 反反复复就是多几个技能
地图有没有区别不大 明明有上下层却是2D地图 而且有的是单行道
有的boss弹幕逆天 也不是躲不了但是真的逆天 手感大部分时候还可以 但判定有点迷
最后玩累了 跑图比打boss折磨多了 也不能传送 愣是得先回家才能出来 神秘设定

Bullet hell, I mean bloody hell is pretty stellar. It is hard to find a game with a good sense of humor. I have made it to the baddy but cannot beat. Will take break and come back. Hope there is a little more to it...maybe a new game plus or a challenge mode. BUT man for a free game this bangs.

been a while since I played but I remember the number of times I beaten(and lost to) the bosses with a mouse pad as if it was yesterday.
Oh btw if anyone wants to know I found an inconsistant way to freeze satan and beat his ass before he even knew I was there, but only till it reaches half health or smth(don't remember some of the triggers).
