Jeu avec des mécaniques intéressante, comme le fait de jouer avec le véhicule ou le personnages (par contre jouer avec le personnage dans des zones en mode véhicule, reste dur, car le personnage a des jambes en papier et dés qu'un saut très haut se réceptionne sur le sol, celui-ci meurt, ce qui est aberrant),
La direction artistique digne d'un jeu Nes des années 80, 90.
Par contre la traduction Française laisse à désirer, car elle a du être fait par un fan seul (car non crédité dans le générique de fin) et montre pleins de fautes de frappes et de lettres oublié et de mot inconnus.

If you didn't play the NES game don't expect much, I don't recommend this for anyone under the age of 50.

This game's a little too faithful to the original for anything to stick out, and can be beaten pretty quickly & brainlessly with a good mashing arm and a tolerance for very "I will have to win this fight!" dialogue. Where most metroidvanias sit on the end of having such broad open worlds you get frequently lost, this one has your hand held the entire time to prevent you from thinking too hard. Any attempt you make towards proper exploration will be met with "bosses" that are just 30 regular enemies in a row, and your reward is usually just a gun you won't use or some health/energy pickups that already gets dropped by every enemy on the map.

The most interesting attempt at a game mechanic is the segments that kill off your weapon upgrades when you take damage, forcing you to experiment a little, but it ends up just being a frustrating game of "Oh. I can't use the weapon that kills bosses in 3 seconds anymore, guess I'll just need to play safe until I get it back". You can't hold the game too accountable for this, it's a remake of an old NES game. They were still figuring out what a metroidvania even was at that point, let alone how to make one, but you'll definitely feel the difference when it's sitting next to your copy of silksong in your library.

The music is passable, but the pixel art is notably pretty good. It's pretty clear the team working on this is skilled at what they do. If you loved the NES game as a kid, I think this taps into that feeling of looking back at an old game with rose tinted glasses - It's like playing a game how you remember it, instead of booting up an emulator for your old favourites, and getting sad.

I think if you're burdened by nostalgia, unable to experience joy without reminiscing over "The good ol' days", and looking for a brand new video game to pick up, I'd recommend getting into rock climbing

A fun game, but much much easier than its retro aesthetic implies. There isn't much challenge until the tail end of the game. The weapons are also very unbalanced, there is no reason to use anything other than the strongest weapon at all times. The map also features several caves that lead to dead ends.
The goal of this game was to serve as a faithful remake of the NES original, but they probably could have changed some more.

It's not all bad though, the graphics are great and the music is amazing. There are some cool designs as well.

I never played the original so I can't really compare to it but as a standalone game I really enjoyed it. The soundtrack is awesome, it looks visually well, and its fun.

The only gripes I had with it is I wish it had slightly longer invisibility frames, a better way to backtrack, some dungeons being useless, and 100% the game for the True ending since not doing it omits you from a new area and bosses.

Word of advice: Get all the items(maps, Health upgrades, weapon upgrades) and defeat all bosses to get the true ending, the tri shot(final weapon on foot) is the best weapon to use since it shoots through walls and damage is proportional to how fast you can shoot, locking yourself in a direction is extremely helpful, and the fire weapon will help in the ice area.

FC時代にメタファイトをプレイしたのですが、ステージ5が突破できなかったので、こういう形で遊べるのは開発に感謝！

オリジナルでのセーブができない、マップが見られない、ボスが固いといった不満点の解消だけでなく、元から多彩なアクションに加えて、武装の種類やボスが増え、ステージ固有のギミック、サイドビューでのボス戦、溜めうち等の要素も加わってまさにリメイクよりも再起動（リブート）という言い方がふさわしい仕上がりになっています

メタファイトを遊んだ人なら驚く部分もあるのでぜひともプレイしてほしいです

武装はウェーブが頭2つ、ストライカーが頭1つぐらい抜けていますが、救済策、被ダメージで使えなくなる、任意使用なので縛る事ができる等を考えれば、これで良いと思います

ストーリーに関してもオープニングからしっかりと伏線が張られているので、ご都合主義という感じがせずとてもよかったです

難を言えば、ステージ2以降でオリジナルの楽曲から変更されている事。
新曲楽曲もなかなか良曲揃いですが、切り替えも欲しかったですね。

もう１つはファストトラベルができない事です
こちらは、ノーマルエンドへの誘導という意味合いもあるのでしょうが、システムと設定上は機体を呼び出す事はできるので、一度エンディングを見たらセーブポイントの間のみできるという形でも良かったように思います

Aunque es un juego artísticamente muy bien elaborado, con una banda sonora increíble y un montón de opciones de control —el tanque, el piloto, las fases laterales, las vistas desde arriba—, lo cierto es que yo ya lo conocía de mis tiempos con la NES. Y aunque me declaro un fiel seguidor de SUNSOFT por haberme dado en su día el que considero el mejor juego de la consola, Batman, las sensaciones que me produjo este título entonces siguen intactas hoy.

Incluso con esta versión especial, que sin duda lo mejora en muchos aspectos, el juego no cumple mis expectativas ni mis ganas de diversión. Lo encuentro algo repetitivo y, por tanto, en mi caso se me hace bastante aburrido. Reconozco que el trabajo detrás es digno de elogio, pero aun así no le llega a Batman ni a la suela del zapato. Para mí, se queda en una mera curiosidad.

Un juego que compre hace mucho proque era el personaje del super mario crossover y la verdad que gusto fue jugar este juego en metroidvania bien equilibrado y con su dificultad para dominar con muchos extras que ofrecer y un modo multijugador que esta bien pero aun asi la historia y el diseño como metroidvania es muy bueno con un arte jugabilidad y diseño de sonido igual de expectacular y con desafios de lata dificultad como lo serian un boss rush y un modo llamado "MODO DESTRUCTOR" que es tecnicamente jugar el juego de nuevo pero en super dificil te nerfean bastante y pone añadidos de bastante dificultad buffeando a los enemigos y jefes y jodiendote bastantate pero aun asi una proesa para aquellos que que quieran una aventura dificil y desafio para alguien como yo que platino el juego

Replayed on pc. While the weakest of the trilogy, it’s a good 2-d platformer with nice pixel art, solid bosses, great music, and mostly fun level design that keeps it entertaining throughout the whole experience.

Pros:

- Writing
- Bosses
- Blaster and vehicle weapons (some are very situational)

Cons:
- Lack of Fast Travel
- Destroyer Mode
- Endgame levels
- Some dungeons are pointless (nothing in them)

Overall, it’s a great return-to-form for a series that essentially died out decades back. Upgrading the vehicle feels good, enemy variety is great as each area has new enemies to change a bit how you traverse or defeat them, and the music + pixel art are my favorite things about the game. Bosses are mostly good but I found some somewhat annoying due to the gimmicky nature of them, lack of fast travel when you need to go back through areas is tedious, and I didn’t use some weapons on the blaster and vehicle simply because they weren’t as good as alternatives. I really disliked Destroyer Mode as it completely misses what makes the game fun in my opinion as limiting what you do and really making you want to brute force the areas and skip everything is a chore. Recommended for 2-d platform enjoyers but the sequels are far better. 7.0/10.

Genuinely an overall improvement from the original blaster master/metafight on the NES. It has a lot of good and innovative ideas and endless quality of life changes. The story is great, the characters are likable, the bosses are all very unique and challenging, the setting of the areas and item collection game is also very good. If you are wanting to try the series, this is possibly the best game to start with. 9/10 honestly, my only complaint is the lack of dash which makes the game feel a bit slower but that is addressed in the next game.

没有玩过原作blaster master（超惑星战记），本作算是有些类银（没有恶，主角成长性直接和流程能力获取挂钩，战斗收益非常低）的横版+俯视角弹幕，美术和音乐很舒服，战车操作还是有意思的....不过还是inti那个老样子道中设计没一点美感，反而他家最大优势的立绘和台词，演出在本作中含量很低（据说是因为这部重启版遵照原作设定的原因），烦躁要素倒是很多诸如什么即死性的摔落伤害没有传送赶路又很麻烦切换武器要切菜单真结局要全收集[spoiler]以及传统艺能虐女主[/spoiler]等等等等等等等等....但游戏难度本身很低所以通关还是挺顺畅的。
不过有一点挺好的就是想听对话的话开菜单去听就可以，不用担心会被对话打断探索心流（[i]但话说回来你厂看点不就是这个？对话藏到菜单里要调半天何意味？[/i]）。

唉，骂了一堆游戏其实还行但要说优秀好像也有点难就还是不推荐了，该接着玩2去了💀💀💀

I'm still playing through it, but this is just a really solid beginner friendly metroidvania. Mechanics are a bit frontloaded so it can take a while to work out, but when you get past the first world it just picks up speed and doesn't really stop. Well worth it for people looking for a more casual retro experience

白金第14作：《超惑星战记ZERO》
久仰大名的inti早期作品之一，由于inti的作品我是从新到旧的顺序玩的，inti后期作品又比较摆烂，所以接触本作之前已经品鉴了不少inti质量不是很高的作品了（别摆了inti）。本作为FC原作超惑星战记的重制，原作厂商sunsoft，比较出名的FC作品有《蝙蝠侠》和FC末期经典高难作《吉米克》，也算是在我的童年有一席之地的厂了。
由于没接触过原作，所以我特意去找了一些视频看，本作画面和BGM都是在原作基础上进行了重制优化，地图设计优秀，小地图简单明了，类银元素设计也很有意思，让人有探索欲望，手感比较...溜滑？其实就是惯性比较大，初见需要习惯一阵子，不知道原作是不是这样。这一作的剧情不错，普通结局个人感觉不能算be，叫wrong end比较合适，真结局就是很标准的ge了，但是真结局达成条件也继承了inti一贯以来的传统——磨人。
至于怎么个磨人法，先来聊聊本作的战斗，我没玩过原作就从头说了。本作战斗模式有横版和俯视角两种，两种风格的主要输出方式都是射击，且均带有一定解谜要素和极少数跳跳乐，横版模式为操控由主角杰森驾驶的索菲亚-Ⅲ为主，部分区域需要杰森主动下车去开关机关让索菲亚通行，关卡中还有很大一部分是只有杰森才可进入的洞穴，此时进入则会切换为操控杰森的俯视角模式，该模式下击败内有BOSS的洞穴会获得杰森和索菲亚的各种武器和能力。BOSS和小怪分别有不同的克制武器，克制武器可以造成硬直或是暴击，杰森的主武器可以通过洞穴内的道具进行升级，但在没有保护的情况下受一次伤武器等级会降一级。
战斗系统也差不多讲完了，所以为什么说真结局磨人呢？因为真结局强制要求收集所有关键道具（杰森所有武器和副武器，索菲亚所有副武器和能力，还有增加血量上限的道具）普通难度还好，也就是花时间做收集，毁灭者模式的洞穴小怪和BOSS必须用克制武器才能造成伤害，但毁灭者模式的克制关系和普通难度不一样，开荒碰到小怪这不吃那不吃，刚想换武器试试结果不小心被摸到，武器降级了结果又是白打，只能靠无视克制关系的副武器打伤害，副武器还有次数限制，且血量上限锁8格，武器还没有等级保护，就这还要去趟图做收集，属实是有点难受。
综上，如果对双视角战斗感兴趣，又喜欢纯爱剧情的话可以入手玩一玩普通难度，但如果要追求白金就得稍微坐一下牢了。正巧最近inti全家桶在打折，正是入手好时机啊（一条五毛）。

This is as narrow a thumb up as I can give. It gets a pass because for its core player base, its good. For the vast majority of other players... it'll suck.

The recommended audience comes in two shapes:
- "I loved blaster master and want my nostalgia tickled."
- "I always wanted to play blaster Master and 40 years wasn't enough time for me to actually do a thing"

Blaster Master Zero is a modernized, reimaging of the first blaster master game. Better controls, better animations, story cutscenes, greatly improved bosses, a modern Metroidvania feel with powerups and weapons. The improvement all were steps up from the original. I don't think there's one thing they changed I disagreed with.

For you first experience with Blaster Master 1... this is absolutely the way to do it. (A later mention on difficulty will second why this is the place to start)

On the bright side, this is absolutely a Blaster Master game. Everything about it screams "We loved the original" and it's a respectful redesign. It hit the same buttons, I enjoyed some of the dungeons, I enjoyed the core loops, and it reminded me why I loved the original as a kid.

But for a game that modernizes and reimagines... they seemed afraid to modernize. There was alot of jank and stupid decisions in the original that are as bad here.

- The charming big pixel characters have chunky hitboxes that make it hard to navigate spikes.
- Jason dies from a VERY short drop. You waste so much time waiting for Jason to climb down ladders because its too risky to hop.
- Speaking of time wasting... most of the dungeon gimmicks involve stopping and waiting. (Rising acid/Rushing Waves where you need to wait for it to recede, moving platforms. and stealth patterns)
- No fast travel between zones so have fun backtracking
- No quick weapon swaps, so you'll need to pause, flip through pretty but clunky menus and select items
- Many dungeons are empty of collectables and only contain consumables so you only get disappointment when you clear them.

But the worst part, is that they kept the traditional weapon system. As you collect weapon power ups, you get access to stronger weapons, but if you get hit you'll drop a weapon level.

The problem is that the max level weapon is ridiculously overpowered and trivializes the game.

If you get hit, you don't control what weapon gets armed next... so you end up needing to retreat to open a menu to swap to something functional. But with such slow movements... enemies were faster leading to several hits or even unavoidable death.

Overall, for me. the game was mind-numbingly easy, slow. tedious, janky. I didn't want to fight another enemy rush boss room, clear another consumable dungeon, or wait for another gimmick to recede so I could play the game.

But again, I want to return to the recommendation target. People that already know Blaster Master. All of these complaints were already well established in the series. This IS an improvement and it is true enough to the source that its worth a go.

This is not a bad game and its a perfect okay Blaster Master remake. I just wish they rethought some of the 80s jank.

I did my first playthrough a while back and found it pretty easy. The top down section is made easy by the best weapon in the game (which is unlocked at the start of game but requires max "weapon points"). The side scrolling tank sections were more interesting overall with the main challenge coming from those bosses.

Recently, I completed the new game+ Destroyer mode. That genuinely made the game a lot more interesting, especially in the top down sections. However, that comes with some serious gripes. Entities dying now fires a moderately fast projectile directly at you, which makes the shield-wall ability mandatory. You can pre-dodge, but that option is sometimes situational. This by far was the most annoying "challenge". Top down, enemies are weak to specific weapons, which actually made using different weapons fun. Except, the top down bosses that are weak to shield were basically big waiting fests, particularly Venom Master. Likewise, many enemies fought later on are the ones weak to shield. I would have liked to see more variety instead of optimizing for "difficulty".

Overall, I still recommend the game, especially with the nice baseline price of $10. It's short and sweet. There's even a co-op option, which I didn't get to try, which could be cool. I think they were even somewhat limited with the choices they could make reimagining the original NES Blaster Master, so I hope they get to spread their wings more in the sequels. But still, it delivers a fun experience. I would not recommend Destroyer mode though, a lot of the difficulty feels artificial. I think the gripes outweigh the potential introduced by the top-down weapon weakness mechanic.

It's actually one of the games that caused me to have a bit of a distaste for certain "retro styled games", because it almost feels like they go out of their way to make it annoying because "old games used to be clunky and super hard". 地图设计是我见过的所有打类银河恶魔城标签的游戏中最烂的没有之一，实际上就只是几个地图首尾相连，没有多少立体感，而且就这样还没有传送功能，要是漏了什么重要道具就得跨地图来回去找。
横向卷轴部分手感非常差，车子像润滑油抹多了一样滑得不行，人居然有摔落伤害稍微高点掉下来就没了，就这样还在游戏中加入了不止一处从空中跳下来抓梯子的设计，一旦失误直接死。
每次从横向卷轴部分切换到俯视角部分都要黑屏加载好几秒，不知道还以为在玩什么3A大作。
Destroyer Mode的设计简直是纯粹恶意的集合：俯视角部分敌人只能被特定一种武器伤害，要么去看攻略抄作业要么每遇到一种敌人就得把所有武器都试一遍，甚至还有只吃副武器的敌人。而且被打会掉武器等级，普通模式下的等级保护也没了，万一能打伤害的武器没了就几乎等于死了，变相要求无伤。

As this is a remake of the NES game Blaster Master, spoilers are in this review. You have been warned.

The good:

* Graphics are stellar SNES standard
* QOL improvements, such as a map and save points are quite welcome
* Remake fairly sticks to the original, but deviates in some parts for the better
* Story incorporates the original story to some extent, the world has been reshaped in places
to emphasize this, which is good, because now the story makes sense. (Which is something that irked me about the NES original)
* Developers catered to fans of the original in wonderful ways by injecting new content as well into the game in certain points. Those of you who loved area 5, will now see it truly realized as it should have been back then. It's incredible.
* They used the Sunsoft audio libraries for the music

The bad:

* There are a few instances of the game being cheeky and obtuse about where to go, I'd wished those places didn't have tons of enemies at every turn.
* Area 8 has been turned into a forced stealth section area, which is extremely tedious to navigate. Tank navigation is bad, the dungeon sections are an annoying nightmare.
* Area 9 is a great concept, but entirely too obtuse
* Jason has always sucked at moving in this and the original game, this game has some few extremely frustrating ladder jumps, fortunately they don't show up more than a few times
* Soundtrack is a hit and miss, some themes were completely replaced with other versions which would be stellar when put into any other game than this, but since this is a remake one wonders why they weren't recreated as well? (I've never played the original Japanese version, if these themes are from that game, please consider this a moot point)

Summary:

This is a solid remake, one of the best I've played since Secret Of Mana. It adds a lot of new things, some good, some very bad. However, the overall impression of the game still stays with me because of the good new additions. These additions really are what I imagine the original devs having done if they had today's technology available. It's rare to see this in a remake, and I for one cherish it.

Good game feel and a solid sountrack cant save this remake from feeling tedious compared to the original. With a greater focus on backtracking, frequentent checkpoints, and some very over powered upgrades I quickly found the game to be little more then going through the motions of spamming my maxxced out gun or engaging in tedious backtracking. Locking the true final boss behind 100% item compleition is just a ♥♥♥♥♥ move too. Still the faithfullness to the original NES game with the chessy intro cutscene which mixes the US and JP story is a fun pastiche.

In the later half of the game starting at area 5 you can soft lock yourself and no longer progress in your game. There is supposedly more soft locks in Area 6 and Area 7. Be ABSOLUTELY careful progressing in this game because you can ruin an entire save file like this.

I grew up with the original Blaster Master. I didn't beat the game until the late 90's. The world was huge, intimidating, and very hostile. As a kid, it stuck with me.

Blaster Master Zero is a fantastic remake of that first game. Everything about this game is wonderfully faithful, yet more modern. Thankfully, that doesn't necessarily mean it's "easier", too. You aren't limited to only 2 lives now, you have unlimited continues, and encounter checkpoints along your path as well. The difficulty seems to match up really well with the original; while the original NES game had higher difficulty due to limitations and mildly more janky control scenarios, Zero evolved the controls to be more responsive, yet still susceptible to being overwhelmed. If you're not careful, you can easily take a lot of damage doing something mundane.
The art style is more or less the same, with some creative changes here and there, and as a whole, much more atmosphere and detail in all aspects. I also actually enjoy the story the game has now. It doesn't feel tacked-on like some remake stories can, as the game atmosphere has evolved to greatly benefit the story points.
I also personally love all of the new abilities and weapons. In the top-down sections, while you're on foot, the original game offered you an upgradeable gun, and a bottomless pile of grenades. Now, that gun is still upgradeable, but you can choose which level of weapon you want to use, if you reach a higher power level. You're also given access to more sub-weapons, without much spoiling, grenades, landmines, a turret...
The tank also gets several new toys; some main weapons that charge up, all of the old sub-weapons, and a few new ones, as well as new mobility options. It feels good to power up and learn how to use them well. It also greatly helps that you can hold a key to bring up a list of weapons to switch mid-combat, rather than needing to pause as in the NES original.

I beat this game the first time in 2022, it's now 2025, and I'm having just as much fun as my first playthrough. I've also still got some stuff to unlock and do.

Overall, easy recommendation. Especially if you grew up with the original. I'm using a Xbox One controller on PC, and it feels good to play.

幼少の頃に友人の家でメタファイトを友人が遊んでいたのが妙に印象に残っていた。

多分2Dの横スクロールアクションと見下ろしアクションが一つの作品に入っていたことに新しいものを見た驚きだったのだろう。

そのときから数十年が経過してメタファイトを遊ぶことはないと思っていたら本作が発表されて、思わぬ機会に飛びついたのを覚えている。

発売日当時に購入してしばらく遊んだ。

…古いだけだった。

最初こそ「これがあのメタファイトの系譜か」と楽しく遊んでいたが、ゲームデザインがあまりにもレトロすぎた。

敵を倒しても通貨や経験値にあたる「今得たものがあとで活きる要素」というものが全然ないので「新しいエリアへ行くため、踏破済みのエリアを戻る」という行為がひどく無駄な行動に感じた。もっというと探索全般がそういった理由でつまらなさしかなかった。

これで戦闘に気持ち良さがあれば良かったが、淡々と敵を倒して進むゲームなので爽快感とは無縁だったのもつらく、多分割と序盤で飽きてやめることにした。

🐸 Haven't played the original, but this one turned out to be a pretty enjoyable adventure. It looks beautiful, has a great soundtrack, a classic simple story, and useful skills. The locations aren't empty or too huge, so it's fun to explore them. Despite the fairly quick dungeon clearing, a full exploration of all levels (for the first time & the best ending) can take ~6h. Not too easy, definitely not hard, bosses aren't a problem. Replayability is only in choosing to play for other characters with their own skills. Despite Inti Creates' reluctance to adjust regional prices, they make top-notch 8-Bit style games, so you can get them at a big discount.

One of the first metroidvanias remade and rebooted into "Blaster Master Zero". It's rare seeing a remake of an 8 bit game to be.... well 8 bit, do I recommend this? Absolutely if you are intrigued over one of the earliest metroidvania series and have an enthusiasm over games with a retro feel to them. Since it's a remake it carries over certain stuff from the 80's original that would be deemed outdated nowadays.

For example, as Jason you take fall damage very easily which can sometimes lead to early deaths if you aren't wary enough of how high he can tolerate heights. Certain dungeons lead to dead ends and you have to go all the way back to the start of the dungeon if you obtain an item which isn't that big of a deal but slightly time draining at times.

Overall the controls were smooth, the soundtrack had that "Sunsoft feel" to it which inti creates nailed, and the story and characters were interesting and charming. I am definitely interested in seeing how the story and characters flesh out for the other 2 games in the "Blaster Master Zero trilogy".

Additionally, the final boss was really cool and had a pretty cool twist which I didn't expect, make sure to obtain every health bar and upgrade in order to experience the secret area which leads to the true ending.

This game is fantastic and it made me realize that I love the Metroidvania genre.

The weapon and vehicle unlocks you gain throughout the adventure (since it’s a Metroidvania, after all) help keep the gameplay fresh and engaging from start to finish. I love it and can’t recommend it enough. If it looks interesting to you, definitely give it a try.

一代可以说在致敬，但是也算比较好玩，但是你又不得不承认，这里面有些太过超模的内容让游戏失去了原本的乐趣

Even after eight years and owning it on three different platforms, this still holds up as an amazing re-imagining of a classic game. The music is spot on, the controls are great, the additions are majority positive and, even at its worst, it's still leagues better than the rest of the franchise as a whole, and the Zero sub-series especially.

Outside of seeing where it all started, or nostalgia, there's not a single reason to play the original game (be it the Blaster Master localization or the Metafight original) over this.

[i]Blaster Master Zero[/i] truly is the definitive alright out of ten. It does a lot of cool things but the execution leaves something to be desired.

I overall like the game, but let’s get the most scathing thing I have to say out of my mind, the story/writing. Whenever I was faced with plot and/or dialogue, I felt a demon possess me. The demon being one of those old videogame YouTubers that starts destroying all of their earthly possessions when gameplay is interrupted for longer than one second. One sentence in and I’m already checked out. The story is nothing special, find [url=https://youtu.be/r30mmGxJHgc?si=BTwpbJqVQ5aRnirW]froggy[/url] (why does it fit so well?) and stop Mr. Mutant from doing mutant things. I just don’t get why my mind and body rejects this narrative so much since it’s so inoffensive, I just guess my inner jackass got awakened. One more pet peeve before I talk about something I like is the way Eve talks. She talks in a way that feels very weird to read. It feels as if I’m reading lines from a script that a voice actor would read rather than written dialogue from a book. I don’t know if anyone else gets what I mean by that, but I can’t really describe it any other way. Thank you for reading my piss baby whining.

The two styles of gameplay are executed quite well. They both stand on equal footing rather one being an afterthought. You acquire a large selection of weapons and gadgets that help keep traversal and combat fresh. Many of these upgrades shine particularly bright during the final area where the challenge ramps up and allows you to make full use of your arsenal. The other areas are also decent to navigate. They are nothing special, smooth experience to navigate with little to no pushback to make it truly engaging. I suppose that would be the case since the structure of this metroidvania is very linear. To clarify, the linear nature is in no way a negative. Sometimes you want a more straight-forward experience rather than a sprawling spaghetti junction of a map. These thoughts apply to both the 2D and top-down sections.

Blaster Master Zero is way too easy. It’s not quite a “[b]Try not to Fall Asleep Challenge (IMPOSSIBLE)[/b]”, but the game would be best described as a pushover. In the previous paragraph I made specific mention of the final area and that it allows your arsenal to shine, because that’s pretty much the only area where it does. I pretty much blew through the entire game using only the standard blaster and some homing missiles on Sophia III. The on-foot sections suffer worse from the lack of difficulty as I only used sub-weapons for context sensitive actions like breaking a or lighting up a dark area. Your primary attack on-foot utilizes a neat weapon level system; certain pickups increase weapon level, giving you access to wholly new and unique weapons. Weapon level also drops if you get hit so you are awarded by playing well. Unfortunately, the risk of getting hit is so low that this system barely feels like it exists. Pulse is by far and away the best weapon (with some niche exceptions) and the only time I found it challenging to maintain was the final area. The final area isn’t the best navigation wise, fairly bland outside of visuals, but it offers the greatest challenge forcing you to use your full tool kit. I actually used sub-weapons and had to make do with lower-level weapons since I was actually taking damage. I really wished that more of the game was like that final area because I believe it would’ve elevated [i]Blaster Master Zero[/i] from an alright/10 to a great/10.

[i]Blaster Master Zero[/i] is so close yet so far from being great that it’s almost frustrating. The dual gameplay styles, beautiful pixel art, decent music, and a myriad of cool ideas and systems; are all really neat. Just a shame that so much of it falls flat due to being undermined by its immense lack of difficulty. I will say that the sequel from what I have played of it has really done a good job at addressing my complaints. So onward to [i]Blaster Master Zero 2[/i] see how it truly fares!

O jogo não é horrível, mas não consigo recomenda-lo para terceiros visto algumas coisas que me deixaram extremamente incomodado durante sua campanha, primeiro sendo os controles, controlar sophia ou jason não é lá muito complicado, vc precisa se acostumar com a sophia deslizando que nem manteiga no inicio mas isso é o de menos, o problema está no Jason fora da sophia, cara ter dano de queda nesse jogo que te mata instantaneamente por literalmente qualquer merdinha de pulo me deixou bastante frustrado isso pq terá alguns momentos que vc PRECISA sair da sophia e dar um salto pra escadas e meu amigo... nessas horas meu sangue ferveu isso pq vc precisa necessariamente no pixel certin da escada por o análogico pra cima, eu não sou acostumado a usar o digital do controle oq me rendeu um bom número de mortes, não só isso como os inimigos do jogo também são bizarramente simplórios, tirando alguns chefes explorar esse mundo não é muito legal e os combates contra outros inimigos sendo eles boa parte robôs que por algum motivo chamam de mutantes é meio sla, sem sal, além disso temos outra coisa que são as trilhas sonoras MUITO REPETITIVAS e sem muitas diferenciações fazendo assim ser uma aventura bem... mais ou menos, oq pode fazer vc se perguntar do pq essa análise ser positiva e isso se dá ao seu final verdadeiro que o fazendo senti que estava jogando um jogo mesmo, tinha um certo desafio, pouco mas tinha, além de uma historinha bacana e uma boa trilha, enfim é isso. Caso ainda assim queira comprar, recomendo fazer isso numa ótima promoção caso se interesse mas vá com expectativas baixas, muito baixas

Es un juego divertido una mezcla de metroidvania, shooter y otro, les debo aconsejar NO APAGUEN EL RECEPTOR (la bolita pitido que señala mejoras) EN EL ÁREA EXTRA DEL FINAL VERDADERO AUN SI TIENES LAS TRES LLAVES NO ABRE SI ESTA APAGADO (me tomo 20 minutos y 2 videos ver que faltaba) y no tomen todas las mejoras antes del jefe final dejen 1 de vida sin recoger por que salta al otro final y tendrán que hacer otra partida desde cero por el final normal.

Ps: unos consejos en cuevas a pie con muchos enemigos el striker eléctrico te ayuda mucho y el auto escudo con los soldados que parecen astronautas, también encima del jefe engranaje la mejora se agarra saliendo de tanque y gatear por el tubo .
