Quisiera recomendarlo pero no.
El juego no es nada malo. Sin embargo tiene unas inconsistencias tremendas. El boton de disparo tambien funciona como boton de ataque, osea tira un ataque cuerpo a cuerpo. De hecho muchas veces es mas util hacer esto ultimo. Pero el juego de por si dispara a pesar de tener al enemigo cerca dispara y no llega a matarlo. A veces los bichos estan mas lejos y tira ataque cuerpo a cuerpo.
TIene una tremenda inconsistencia ahi que hace que pierdas vidas "porque si.".
No lo recomiendo.. Tratare de terminarlo.

对魂斗罗和合金弹头的粗劣模仿，游戏只能说中规中矩吧。这游戏的操作不知道为什么很难受（特别是斜方向射击），从键盘换成手柄才好一些，默认的武器像老太婆撒尿要好几枪才能打死小怪，虽然加了个近战攻击能秒小怪，然而怪又是从四面八方冲出来的（没错他的第一关就像以前魂斗罗的最终关卡那样），额外3种强力的武器弹药获得后打BOSS又会变得轻松，这就导致期间万一死了武器恢复至默认状态的瞬间就会有落差感（做成就也会变难），并且命死完续关是从这小关重头开始的，整体的各种不适感导致全程玩下来完全没有爽快感，虽然通关一遍后再玩会好很多，但不靠背板和无限续关相对的比较难受，通关后2个隐藏角色也都只能近战攻击+蓄力攻击纯偷懒，反正建议打折了再买，随便玩玩体验下就行了。

Blazing Chrome is an excellent run-and-gun from Brazilian developers (viva Brasil!!!) that feels like a true lost Sega Mega Drive/Genesis classic.

The gameplay is heavily inspired by Contra, but what makes it stand out is how unique each stage feels. Every level is full of chaotic set pieces, explosive moments, and constant pixel-art eye candy that keeps the experience exciting.

While the weapon variety itself isn’t huge, the game compensates with support bots, playable mechs, and vehicle sections that constantly change the pacing. On top of that, some characters are designed around melee combat, which adds a fresh twist to the classic run-and-gun formula.

For fans of intense retro action and beautiful 16-bit aesthetics, Blazing Chrome absolutely delivers.

It's funny to see JoyMasher start with games inspired by the 8-bit era and then move to the 16-bit generation, although, even if some parts look like a Mega Drive pushed to its limit could handle them, beside the 16:9 aspect ratio this is rather something that would belong to a powerful arcade board of the mid-90s and then be ported to the Saturn, given there is even a stage in pseudo-3D sprite scaling. Ironically, as I just learned, an arcade port with an exclusive extra character exists, courtesy of eXA-Arcadia.
The style and palette remind me a lot of Contra Hardcorps but in other stages I see an influence, more than from Metal Slug, from its spiritual predecessor Gunforce II.

There was little doubt they would do an excellent job with the pixel art given their precedents but it exceeded my expectations, even the "lamest" enemies are finely detailed and animated, mecha design is great, bosses are destroyed in very satisfying explosions, Konami should feel proud of the developers as it looks like a lost Contra game. Only small disappointment is about the cutscenes, they are fine but limited to intro and ending.

Even in the gameplay aspect it has nothing to envy to the best Contra titles, flowing smoothly between encounters with groups of regular enemies, minibosses, and setpieces including the aforementioned Space Harrier style stage and hoverbikes, the last section aboard those featuring a self-reference to Oniken.
Finishing the game at any difficulty unlocks two additional characters that bring a variation to the gameplay, as they have no firearms but only powerful energy blades complete with a quickly charged special attack, turning the game into a very fast paced Strider.

The difficulty is predictably stiff but this is no Oniken, at least the lower difficulty level is manageable with some practice. It also thankfully doesn't lock contents behind the completion of higher difficulties, nor there is some extended ending only the few playing Hardcore level could see (looking at Oniken again).

Another great job from JoyMasher - I'd call them one of the "heralds" of neo-retro games - and probably the best Contra game of the last years even if it's not officially one.

All Arcade Quarter Munching Machine Difficulty.

Just like other classic games of extreme difficulty, such as Battle Toads/Ghouls and Ghosts/Gradius/Ninja Gaiden, you be playing the missions over and over, death after death, until you learn the enemy patterns and spawn points eventually polishing your game play to a mirror shine. Then you will walk through the level blowing everything up and dodging all enemies like a god, making the game look easy to onlookers who will not understand it only took 20 runs and 6 hours of game play to master the level that now only takes you 4 minutes to beat.

if you just want to remember the good times of Contra, play the normal mode and be happy, it's a frenetic game with good design, good music and good level design, actually a masterpiece of his genre

but if you want all achievements, I wish you lucky because the hardcore mode it's insane (and unfair, sometimes)

to the developers: please, put the roll button on B instead of down + A (jump), give the hardcore mode five continues instead of three and give one or two power up's to the ninja character (I loved them, but had to use the soldiers to beat the hardcore mode). the most frustrating thing on this game, for me, was getting nervous with all the shooting and jump instead of roll because I mistake the input on the hardcore mode that just one error and you die, hope for a sequence, loved the enemies character design, your game has the quality of a japanese game! <3

El juego solo dura 45 minutos, es corto pero es recontra rejugable por los logros y porque te desbloquea personajes y dificultades al terminarlo, la música está buenisima, los niveles y los enemigos me gustan.

Este juego tiene una mecánica de esquivar que es imprescindible aprender a usarla para pelear contra los últimos jefes que tienen golpes muy rápidos, recomiendo este juego para los amantes de lo retro!

Desarrollado por JoyMasher, Blazing Chrome es una carta de amor directa a los run and gun de los 90, especialmente a la saga Contra. Desde el primer minuto deja claras sus intenciones: acción intensa, dificultad desafiante y cero concesiones. Aquí no hay largas cinemáticas ni tutoriales interminables; hay disparos, explosiones y reflejos puestos al límite.

Puro arcade sin filtros

La premisa es sencilla y efectiva: en un mundo postapocalíptico dominado por máquinas, un pequeño grupo de humanos y rebeldes lucha por sobrevivir. La narrativa cumple su función, pero lo importante está en el gameplay. Los niveles están diseñados con una precisión milimétrica: plataformas bien medidas, enemigos colocados para generar tensión constante y jefes finales espectaculares que exigen aprender patrones y reaccionar rápido.

El control es sólido, directo y extremadamente responsivo. Cuando fallas, sabes que es culpa tuya, no del juego. Y eso, en un título de este estilo, es fundamental.

Dificultad clásica, pero justa

Blazing Chrome no es un paseo. Es exigente, como los arcades de antaño, pero evita la frustración gratuita. Cada muerte enseña algo. Cada intento te acerca un poco más a dominar la fase. Esa sensación de superación es parte esencial de su encanto.

Además, el cooperativo local eleva la experiencia. Jugar con otra persona convierte el caos en pura diversión estratégica y multiplica el disfrute.

Pixel art que enamora

Visualmente es un espectáculo retro. El pixel art está cuidado al detalle: animaciones fluidas, escenarios variados y enemigos con un diseño potente y lleno de personalidad. Las explosiones, los efectos y la ambientación transmiten esa estética de los 16 bits sin sentirse anticuada. No es nostalgia barata; es reinterpretación moderna con respeto por el material original.

La banda sonora acompaña con energía, reforzando el ritmo frenético de cada nivel.

¿Por qué es una joya oculta?

Porque no tuvo el escaparate que merecía. Porque muchos lo pasaron por alto pensando que era “solo otro homenaje retro”. Y porque demuestra que un juego puede ser breve pero intenso, clásico pero relevante, simple pero profundamente bien diseñado.

Blazing Chrome is pure arcade whiplash in the best way. It throws you straight into nonstop chaos with tight controls, instant responsiveness, and enemies that never let you relax for a second.
The visuals are sharp and aggressive, full of chunky robots, explosions, and grimy future war backdrops. The music pounds along with driving synth tracks that keep your pulse up from start to finish. You learn patterns, push for cleaner runs, and enjoy that perfect loop of die, improve, conquer. If you miss old school shooters that demand focus and reward skill, this is one of the strongest modern entries in that style.

i really wish steam would pull their finger out and allow neutral votes, because this game is actually very good and i hate to not recommend it because the world needs more games like this and i want to support it by recommending it, however i just cant because of simple play mechanics that ruin the game, and these could easily be patched out in an update that will literally take the developer a few minutes.
now let me explain: first one is so simple, yet so annoying. its weapons that function with the button held pressed down vs weapons where you need to keep repeated button presses to use. now with the weapons that function with the button held down, guess what happens now... meelee attacks stop working when youre close up to enemies! this issue can be solved by making meelee attacks act automatically in a turbo like fashion when the attack button is depressed.
the second issue i have is a deal breaker that makes the game feel unplayable imo. when you want to duck enemy fire, its pure madness. you will not duck if youre walking.. your character just continues walking forward while shooting into the ground! so if you want to duck, you must stop movement, then press down to duck, and if you touch any diagonals while ducking, your character stands up and starts walking again! why not do it like in the metal slug games where if you pull down while running, your character goes into a crouch while still moving and shooting?
other than that, the game is actually pretty darn brilliant. if the play mechanics are patched, i will most definitely change my review to a recommended.

An arcadey run and gun that I found more frustrating than fun as it went on.

If you've played Metal Slug or Contra, then most things will be familiar to you: move right, kill anything that moves, a close-range attack usable when enemies are close, big bosses, pilotable mechs, the good stuff. Aside from the default machinegun, you can find 3 more weapons throughout the levels, but you also lose them if they're equipped when you die.

Oh, you die in one hit, by the way. There's a powerup that gives you 2 extra hits, but aside from that one attack means losing one life. The normal difficulty starts you with 5 lives and infinite continues, and boy will you need them.

The final boss is what gave the final blow to me: it has like 7/9 phases and depleting your life count means going back to phase 1, which is quite annoying when you have to do two autoscroller-like sections right in the middle and end of it.

Still, it's not a bad game, by all means, and you'll have fun if you've been tempered by old arcade games. Beating the game also unlocks a bit more stuff, like a mirror mode, boss rush and one extra character (actually two, but they're palette swaps) with its own unique mechanic.

It's relatively short with only 6 levels, but it makes sense for an arcade game.

Get it on a deep sale if you've got a craving for explosions, guns and game overs.

Олдскул и хардкор в чистом виде, на среднем тащиться час с чем то.
Настоящее игра начинается когда откроешь Hard.
Готовясь ещё пару часов неистово уворачиваться от любого снаряда и наслаждаться ураганным экшеном 8.5 моя оценка да Contra Hard Corps не дотягивает, оружия мало, за то в конце музыка хорошая однозначно плейлист добавил себе, не знаю рекомендовать если кому то нравиться Run Gun То рекомендую опробовать.

Что тут можно сказать?
Те кто в теме, и тем кому за 25 - 30 лет, сразу поймут все по геймплейному ролику на странице игры, увидев хорошую графику, шутер в классическом стиле ран н ган, приятную графику.

Игра - хороший шутер который похож на классику аркадных автоматов, при чем играя в него находят мысли, что ты уже что то похожее видел в Contra Hard Corps, Shatterhand, Metal Slug.

Рисовочка здесь хорошая и приятная, музыка, что надо, не надоедает и звучит в тему.
Я не знаю, что можно здесь еще добавить, ну? Кроме обычного добротного шутера " на своих двоих " с геноцидом роботов на экране, нам дадут порулить мини мехом, ховербайком и дадут полетать на джетпаке, вариативность и разнообразие геймплея, это круто.

Есть у игры два минуса.

Первый - да, она хороша, но она короткая, геймплейно на час, полтора.
Мало.
Второй - последний босс, не хватает эпичности, что то как то все очень пресно и нудно.
Вспомнить тот же Хард Корпс, где было несколько концовок, в числе которых мы воевали и на биологической - ядерной боеголовке, и в космосе на спутнике с супероружием для уничтожения земли, и в самом сердце - логове чужих и......
А тут.....ну одна концовка ладно....и босс....ну такое себе, вообще такое себе.

Честно говоря, меня это даже расстроило немного.

Но в целом, игру можно добавлять в коллекцию и играть.
Так как это дань уважения классике

Awesome Run&Gun game. Quite challenging, not for everyone!
The retro aesthetics bring back so many 16bit memories, but on steroids. My only complaint is that altough the music is good, the voiceovers are too generic, and you can´t configure the controller to your liking.
Gameplay suits just fine if you´re looking for some action.

Il gioco rimane divertente per tutta la durata. Non dura molto. Io ci ho messo 5 ore morendo parecchie volte ogni livello, ma c'è un trofeo che richiede di finirlo in 40 minuti mi pare.
Tutto sommato non è frustrante, una volta morto riesci a capire come si muovono i nemici e a schivarli la volta successiva con poche eccezioni.

Cara esse jogo é difícil pra K7 pqp!!

Blazing Chrome é um Shoot'em'Up Run'N'Gun feito na base de jogabilidade do Contra , é um daqueles jogos em que tu só tira o dedo do gatilho nas cutscenes ou quando a fase acaba! e qualquer mízero hit é hitkill e te custa uma vida , na visão de alguns o número limitado de vidas é coisa de "fichinha , época do fliperama e arcade" em que tu gastava dinheiro em fichinas e o jogo te fazer morrer era pra te motivar a comprar mais fichas (eu como gamer , não apenas de PC , mas da p0h@ toda já vivi isso!) e ok ok.... , mas contra sem esse sistema grosseiro de punição não é contra e ele ainda é um dos principais pais do Run'n'Gun! então passo esse pano!

o jogo é Hardcore , difícil pra K7 , tanto que quando vi que a dificuldade de tal fase era "2 pontinhos" e achei difícil pra K7 , imagina então aquelas que tem 4 pontinhos de dificuldade kkkkkkkk

O visual e trilha sonora do jogo emanam contra e emanam o super nintendo! conseguiram mimetizar perfeitamente como se esse jogo tivesse sido lançado naquela época pro console daquela época!

E olha que é difícil pra K7 conseguir esse feito , pois até mesmo a pixel art tem que ser muito específica pra lembrar contra e super nintendo , até mesmo jogos de empresas grandes erram nisso e acabam fazendo uma pixel art normal enquanto claramente essa não era a intenção.

No Metal Slug : tu só atira em eixos de + (cruz)! sendo : cima , esquerda , direita e baixo!

*update* after beating the last level I can say that if you're willing to suffer or ask for a friend to help you this game is worth playing through it's a little pricey considering 6 hours was enough for me to essentially finish it. That last level it made this game worth playing. No controllers were harmed in the making of this review.

I rather enjoyed this game I got it as a second in a pack with vengeful guardian, and this turned out to be my favorite of the two. It's very hard, and can be frustrating but if you like that sort of thing I had a really good time after spending about an hour or so. It's not a lot of game for the price I don't think I'd recommend it at more than five bucks. Just based on how much content is in it

So this is my 2nd "Contra"-like run-and-gun; the first was Huntdown, and it was absolutely amazing. It took me a bit to beat, but yeah, this is extremely up there with Huntdown since it's very fun, even though it's hard, and I'm still stuck trying to beat the 2nd mission. I really like it; the gameplay is sick and fun. The dystopian theme gives me a huge Terminator x anime vibe. Mavra and Doyle remind me of Deunan and Briareos from Appleseed, which definitely has to be their inspiration. I saw the two other unlockable characters , but I haven't looked into them at all since I want to get past the 4 missions. Also, the opening is awesome as well, introducing the story and the two main characters, which are Mavra and Doyle. Overall, if you can catch the game on sale like I did at one point, go for it and try it. Obviously, it will not be easy, so don't go in with the mindset of everything being super simple, especially if you are super casual towards the run-and-gun sidescroller genre.

Blazing Chrome is the spiritual successor to Contra III and Contra: Hard Corps. I have had an absolute blast playing this game. The game is non stop action. There are no puzzles to solve, no branching paths to explore, no story arc to follow. In my opinion this game perfects the 16 bit Contra gameplay. I always felt that Contra III and Contra HC lost their way and felt too much like boss rushes. Yes Blazing Chrome has some very big, beautiful, and creative bosses like those originals but it also has plenty of cannon fodder and platforming more similar to the original NES Contra and Super C. It really is the perfect blend of the 8bit and 16bit eras of Contra.

Several reviewers have noted that it is too difficult. I can see how newer gamers may feel this way. This game does not provide any hand holding. As someone who grew up in the “git good” era of gaming I feel like the difficulty level is appropriate. It's all about memorizing patterns and learning from mistakes. That's part of the fun. If you don't like a challenge you may want to pass on this one. But when you've finally beat a level after several failed tries you'll be pumping your fist with excitement and that feeling is so hard to find in modern gaming.

Blazing Chrome is a fun little game, very similar to Contra: Hard Corps both in terms of visuals and gameplay which is pretty much the highest praise I can give a shoot-em-up.

It's got multiple weapons and the ability to swap between them at any time along with a dodge roll to help avoid and pass through attacks. It's a really solid game, I don't have anything to complain about really. It is a bit generic in terms of its themes and such but its very polished and fun without being unfair. I recommend it if you enjoy 2D shoot-em-ups like Metal Slug or Contra.

It reminds me of the Contra games from the NES/SNES. I think this game has a lot of potential, but I am disappointed by the fact that it is just as hard and punishing as the original NES Contra games were. I think the game would be better if the character didn't die after only one hit, and the direction of the bullets could be controlled with the mouse, so the player could shoot in any granular direction, instead of just in awkward up/down/45 degrees. Otherwise great game, but sadly doesn't draw me in to play longer, as it feels too hard to make progress. I think if I continued to play this game, I would get frustrated not being able to make progress or get past the same point.

I have been in a bit of gaming slump. I get that way when I play a few games back to back that I didn't like. I threw this on and wasn't expecting much but was an excellent homage to old school run n' guns like contra. It's fluid in its controls, graphics look good and really play into the nostalgia I was hoping for with the soundtrack being something from the Mega Drive/Genesis era. The bosses were also interesting enough and challenging with enough attempts, without being far beyond difficult.

I'm not sure if it is telling on how old someone is, but those who have not recommended this game have cited things like how cheap the deaths are but a game like this reminds me of the old Mega Man games who were notorious for carefully and cleverly placed enemies. Where, if you ran like a bull at a gate, you are definitely going to die. You have to play levels over and over again until every enemy because muscle memory. This is all by design. If you grew up in the 90's, this was par for the course. A lot of games were like this. It has a few quality of life improvements to remind you it's more modern than a 90's game but everything else gets the dopamine receptors going for those who want a shot of nostalgia. Aside from the fact that I couldn't really binge on this game and I would play it for 30 mins to an hour each time, it's an excellent game and highly recommended. At the time of this review, it is $5.98 AUD (Australian dollars) which makes the decision to buy this game a no-brainer.

이 회사의 비슷한 장르의 게임인 헌트다운은 체력바가 있어서 조금 여유가 있고 재밌는데, 이 게임은 너무 심함.

Very nice if you like the gnere. It is a difficult game even in the easy mode, but very generous with lifes/continues which makes it possible to finish. You can also choose different characters with different abbilities and even a halloween theme. 6 levels, 3 difficuties, 4 different characters, boss rush, mirror mode, and you can make the screen look like in the arcade.

Bueno, corto y emocionante. Deja claro de donde bebe: de Contra, para su apartado de juego; de Masamune Shirow, para su trama, ya que está claro que esto es Appleseed; y finalmente, de los 80´s, para su gran banda sonora. Al principio podremos usar a "Deunan", digo, a Mavra y a su compañero robótico para poder dar guerra a tope, y más adelante, una vez acabado el juego, se desbloquearán el resto de los personajes y modos.
Algo que no me ha convencido fueron sus controles, los he notado algo toscos en ciertos aspectos, pero nada que no cure la práctica. Podría ser re-jugable, ya que podemos aumentar la dificultad y utilizar el modo espejo, pero no encuentro más alicientes para ello, ni logros relevantes.
Lo recomiendo para los amantes de este género y para pasar un ratillo agradable y desafiante.

Good, short and exciting. It makes it clear where it draws from: Contra, for its gameplay; Masamune Shirow, for its plot, since it's clear this is Appleseed; and finally, the 80s, for its great soundtrack. At first, we can use "Deunan"—that is, Mavra and her robotic companion—to wage war at full throttle, and later, once the game is finished, the rest of the characters and modes will be unlocked.
One thing I wasn't convinced about was the controls; I found them a bit clumsy in certain aspects, but nothing that practice can't cure. It could be replayable, since we can increase the difficulty and use mirror mode, but I don't find any other incentives or relevant achievements.
I recommend it for fans of this genre and for a pleasant and challenging time.
