BirdGut is a hand-drawn 2d puzzle-platformer from the perspective of an outcast bee who gets eaten by a bird, and discovers that the bird's internal organs are not organs at all, but facilities in which the consumed insects are brainwashed and enslaved. maybe its a skill issue but this game is really hard. i really like it, love the art and gameplay, but ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ some of these platforming bits are difficult. i think i just suck at platformers.
Edit: Finally finished it, absolutely worth it, great game. Its not that hard, its really a skill issue on my part. Take the little extra time to find the secrets, its worth it. Really, really enjoyed this game.

i have mixed feelings about this game. for a one man project, this is a pretty sweet and short game. the puzzles aren't too hard, and the world is fairly easy to navigate and i actually enjoyed the soundtrack
the way the camera is designed though just grinds my gears, the constant zooms in and out can be a lot in some sections, especially when going in and out of rooms
the final battle could use some more work too, at least the first phase. the enemy types that pop up are entirely RNG based so its easy to end up in a situation where there's a lot of small and fast enemies closing in on you and all you can do is pray your slow gun can take them out in the next 3-5 business days
the endings aren't really satisfying as well. it's either:
- you explode the bird, escape and live but everyone else dies,
- explode the bird, don't escape, everyone dies
- dont blow up the bird, everyone else lives but you die because the bird shat you out too close to spikes this time
though i did notice the fact that in must cases, your progress saves no matter your death, so you're not as annoyed as you would've been in other games
despite my issues, i think this was a really nice experience and everything i'd expect from a free steam game lol

It's well known that some birds swallow stones to help with their digestion. But thanks to the deep dive reporting of BirdGut, we now know the stomach of a bird is a full on bio-industrial complex that brainwashes innocent, unemployable bugs into serving their captor. Eternally! (Presumably)
That's all true, though a world built out of notebook doodles can't help but come off as far more endearing than all that sounds. I laughed at nearly every death and there were a lot of them. The only time it wasn't an absolute gas was in the rare cases where the checkpoints were too far between. It's a lot less cute to suddenly explode into a handful of misshapen bug bits at a single wrong move when it's one of many in a row.
Every other time, despite often taking me several attempts to amble only a few steps, BirdGut felt like a refreshing, whimsical breeze I hope to experience again soon.

Є складні моменти де сильно треба напрягтись, щоб пройти далі (ні в якому разі не робіть це сонним, кажу зі свого гіркого досвіду), але в загальному гра більш поблажлива до гравця і респавни слідують за гравцем майже кожну нову локацію. А складні моменти власне складні лише тим, що гра навмисне в цих місцях поставила далеко респавни. Тож гра легка і що розпаює (а також із гумором!) - гарний досвід на один вечір.

Possui vários puzzles interessantes e é bem gostoso de jogar. Ainda por cima está grátis, para quem gosta de jogos de plataforma com puzzles vale a pena dar uma chance a este título.

Great game but crashes in some areas
Old school hard style puzzle-platformer. Expect to die numerous times, sometimes to BS. Beat the game in little over an hour, and spite was driving me to complete it by about the halfway mark. Can't say the gameplay was keeping me interested beyond just wanting to give a middle finger to the bird, but the style harkens back to old flash games you'd play in the early 2000s, and the music and story is actually enthralling for its simplicity and surreal bent.
But the gameplay is passably fun half the time, aggravating three quarters of the rest, with a sprinkle of WTF! THAT WAS HORSES$!1!!! in a few bits. so if dealing with old school BS design choices along with the old school style, this is for you.
El juego demuestra que con mecánicas simples se puede crear una experiencia entretenida y bien lograda. No intenta ser complejo ni ambicioso, pero tiene ese toque fuera de lo común y algo bizarro que lo hace destacar. Cuenta con secretos ocultos y logros para desbloquear, además de finales alternativos que invitan a rejugar, aunque estos son bastante simples y similares entre sí.

BirdGut est un petit jeu de plateforme-puzzle qui se finit en environ 2h. Le gameplay est classique, mais agréable, l'esthétique est originale et les énigmes, bien qu'un peu simples, sont bien pensées. C'est presque étonnant que ce jeu soit gratuit car c'est un très bon jeu à faire si vous avez quelques heures devant vous.
[b] Avis sur le platine[/b] :
Le platine est très simple, il consiste simplement à finir le jeu avec les différentes fins et à collecter tous les petits collectibles/easter eggs proposés par le jeu. Cela se boucle en environ 3 heures, ce qui permet d'éviter la lassitude, le jeu n'ayant pas une très bonne rejouabilité à cause de sa durée de vie. Comme le jeu est gratuit, c'est une bonne porte d'entrée pour les complétionnistes débutants désirant s'essayer aux platines sans commencer par des jeux plus gros ou ambitieux.

前面大部分体验都不错，比i wanna有相对应的难度曲线，但后期还是比较难，迷宫那块对路痴实在是不友好……坐过山车的地方中途没有一个存档点，死了太多次破防了打不下去了，我更像只苍蝇在里面乱飞

Jokes aside, I have a serious skill issue. I've seen people beat the game in less than three hours and I'm 2 hours deep in the first half of the game or earlier. Not recommended if you're casual like me, I'm hate-playing at this point. I do recommend if you're better than me (i.e. beat the first miniboss in Hollow Knight. I couldn't even get past its first phase).
Edit: I have finished the game and am now trying to 100 % it. It can be frustrating at times, but the key is to never give up, hatless.
insane that this is a free game, genuinely the best platformer i've suffered through in a long time. art style/bug designs are 10/10, getting all advancements was fun asf and i almost rage quit only once

Birdgut is a game I almost ragequit, and I'm happy I didn't. Micah Boursier manages to create an entire world with friends, foes, puzzles, and flesh-eating worms all inside the guts of a feathered creature! The different skulls were an interesting sidepiece and the humor of the situation and the seriousness of the brainwashing complement each other to make a nice short experience for anyone and everyone. The game is a bit difficult, but if you can understand the four cardinal directions, you shouldn't have much trouble. If you're looking for a free, quick game: add Birdgut to your library!

calm lil game
This is really short and fun game. It gets irritating sometimes, but when you complete a level you receive a next level of satisfaction. And you believe the level was easy. It is a ragebait game so think and play likewise.

真挺好玩的 上手很简单 但是手残党玩了真的会玩着玩洪文 并且有个时候会被自己的操作给蠢😀 但是不管怎么说还是很推荐这款游戏的
Overall a great experience, the graphics even if theyre not good they blend perfectly with the game idea.

Pretty cute game. Kind of a cheap version of Inside - well free really, can't get cheaper than that. But even though it's free, I still can't recommend it, because you do the exact same thing as in hundreds of better games. There's a bit of quirky humor but it doesn't help get past the floaty controls and basic puzzles. The situations are varied and you progress quickly though, so I wouldn't call my time with it completely boring. There are enough checkpoints so that it's never too easy or hard. It's just not worth my time, and I didn't even play half of it apparently.

Although I really suck at platformer and shooting games, Bird Gut somehow had me doing both… at the same time......
I was raging for a bit but then the storyline is so funny I had to finish it, and it was totally worth it LOL
Genuinely one of my most favorite games I've ever played, incredible storytelling, incredible art, makes me giggle every time. Bonus points for getting to play as a funky lil guy that doesn't quite fit in- scratches the itch in my brain as a guy that doesn't quite fit in.
