A phenomenal game with a unique and fun twist on creature captures. it has a charming sense of humor that got some genuine laughs out of me. I think the game does a great job of making all the characters charming and quirky in their own unique way. can't recommend it enough!

My new favorite creature collector alongside Cassette Beasts. This game isn'e done yet and it shows but the core gameplay loop is so fun you can overlook the fact it is still in development. 9.5/10, Will definitely do another playthrough.

Hi! I really like this game! Let me tell you why. So, two of my friends have been playing this game and were talking about it in a server we are in. I got very curious and I downloaded the demo. I loved it. I loved the demo. Fell in love with Kikchik. (I love this bird and their silly shorts, ok?) I bought the game (Couldn't actually play for a bit because computer decided to not work. It's now fixed lol) I started playing and am still enjoying it. The characters are great. The story is enjoyable. There are a lot of funny moments. The game is very charming. I can tell this game has so much loved put into it.
Also, if you like pokemon you would like this game. Take it from me, a pokemon enjoyer most of my life. I always explain this game to people as "Pokemon but if the pokemon were playing volleyball."

I know, I might be rambling but I really enjoy this game. My favorite beastie is Woolie :D

You best start believing in sports anime. You're in one.

Like any monster collector-liker, I've played Pokemon games. I've played Pokemon fangames. I've also played plenty of games made by people who love pokemon. But this one manages to seperate itself not only from pokemon but the rest of the monster battling games out there.

This is a fantastic game, beautiful looking, with amazing gameplay, writing, and of course music. And it's a great addition to any collection if you're a fan of little critters duking it out, even on volleyball courts.

if you're doubting because this games in early access, honestly... i'd say get it anyways, if you're craving something fresh! this game isnt just another monster tamer creature collector... its got SO many fresh ideas, even beyond the creature battling aspects... genuinely will be my GOTY when it comes out. and a post-launch expansion is planned? sick!! this games already full of content, though. the REASON its in early access is that the beasties animations arent all finished, but I can gladly forgive that, especially cus they even let you check how finished a beastie is in your beastiepedia later on

from its artstyle, to the battle mechanics, to the way it contextualizes battle as play.. its all really fun, the beastie designs are charming, the writing has soul... you can tell the people who made this game really had fun making it, and that they really put work into it
the one thing I'd say as a critique is that the game doesn't run perfect, you may need to turn down some settings; almost freezes when taking a screenshot, too?

I'm only 4 hours in, and sure, theres a few little quirks of early access, but this game is so charming... so many lovely mechanics that make the creatures really feel like they're my friends, not just my tools. they're individuals, and... i love them. The town I just recently got to... I feel like something just -clicked-

This is a great game, it may not be for everyone, i think, but it is oozing with charm, creativity, and well thought out game design.

If you like relaxing mon-games or good writing, avoid this game.

The gameplay is fun if not totally balanced, but the story is just really bad. There's an undeniable resentment for Pokemon throughout (symbolized by the villain) mixed with some of that anti-corporate messaging which is popular right now. I'm not complaining about the message itself exactly, but rather the tone casts bitter feelings over everything and is impossible to ignore once you realize what it's doing. The characters range from flat to unlikeable, especially a particular character who is very clearly a writer's pet. I would genuinely prefer a very simple or non-existent story over what is presented because it really sours things.

Also, as a side-note, the Beast designs range in quality from mediocre to good, but the Human designs are pretty garish and ugly on the whole.

One of the most fun creature collectors I've played in a long time. Up there with Cassette Beasts.

Gameplay is unique both in concept and execution, and the strategies in gameplay that evolve from what initially seems straightforward are fantastic.
The QoL aspects of the game are incredible. Being able to switch out party members whenever you want, being able to swap out their abilities and change their names without having to go to some obscure character in a remote town and pay some extortionate fee is also fantastic.
The interactions between the beasties is great too, seeing them interact with each other and the world around them does so much for making them feel alive.

Also love the concept art being included in the beastipedia, so interesting to get to look at the concepts behind the development of the beasties!

Absolutely love the game music, it reminds me a little of undertale and a little of classic pokemon. It's nostalgic and comforting and I've caught myself humming some of the music a few times already.

If you're looking for a fun creature collector I cannot recommend this game enough.

Phenomenal game. I can heartily recommend this to anyone. It's cute, the story is good, the music is incredible, there's a lot of strategy to dig into if you want without being overwhelming. I think almost any kind of person would enjoy this game.

In early access, art is still being added. The gameplay is complete but is going through a lot of fine balance tuning and getting some new modes and social scenes.

Honestly it's a joy to watch it come together. I'm glad I got it early.

Starts out fun but the stat progression and IV system end up making your beasties feel like leveling up doesn't really make them stronger until you gain 10 or more levels and even then there are some with IVs so bad even after training their stats to increase defense they constantly almost get one shot. Not a bad game by any means just not my personal cup of tea which is disappointing seeing how much of a fan I am of creature collector games.

Really enjoyable game. There is a surprising amount of depth to the game, so it'll always keep you on your feet. If you enjoy pokemon, you will enjoy Beastieball. The OST is also amazing!
