Fun, colorful, and most importantly: [b]the karts feel great to drive[/b]. But once the initial “wow” wears off, you realize the package is mostly [b]just (re)racing[/b]—and for me it got old after a couple of hours. If you grab it for a few euros: solid snack. At (roughly) full price: nope.

[b]Story & progression[/b]

Looking for a story? You won’t find it here. There’s no real narrative campaign—just a [b]career-mode structure[/b] built around [b]cups and different race variants[/b], and you unlock things to customize your kart. The unlocks are fine, but for me they didn’t feel very rewarding: you can “pimp” your ride, yet it doesn’t change the experience enough to keep me hooked for long.

[b]Gameplay – where the game shines[/b]

This is where [i]All-Star Fruit Racing[/i] scores points:

* [b]Handling:[/b] the kart controls feel smooth and intuitive.
* [b]Juicer / power-up system[/b] a fun idea where you can [b]stack[/b], [b]combo[/b], and choose between “use now” or “save up.” It takes a moment to get used to, but once it clicks, it works surprisingly well.

And the best part: if you fail, you’re usually genuinely better on the restart because you know the track layout. That says a lot about the flow of the circuits.

[b]Tracks & variety[/b]

The environments look great and are very colorful, but after an hour or two I started feeling like I was seeing [b]the same levels/segments[/b] again. Not badly designed—just [b]not enough surprise[/b] to keep me engaged.

[b]Achievements – fun to pick at, heavy to 100%[/b]

There are [b]45 Steam achievements[/b].

What you can expect:

* [b]Skill-based achievements[/b] like [i]SWAG![/i] (drift for 50+ seconds in one race) and [i]The Perfectionist[/i] (win using only a single Mega-Juice move).
* A lot of them boil down to “play the modes, win cups, learn the Juicer,” which is fun… but if you get bored quickly, it turns into more of a checklist than motivation.

And if you [i]do[/i] go for 100%: achievement trackers often suggest [b]dozens of hours[/b] (e.g., fastest completion around [b]27h[/b] and a median around [b]36h[/b]).

The game has [b]Steam Trading Cards[/b]: [b]5 cards[/b] for the standard badge (with the usual emoticons/backgrounds).

I wouldn’t pay “full price” for this, because for me the fun is mostly [b]a few hours[/b]. If it’s on sale for around [b]€2[/b], that’s exactly the kind of price where the game makes sense: a short burst of fun without expectations.

Audiovisually it’s solid: great colors, good music, and decent sound effects. Storage-wise, it’s roughly a [b]3.29 GB[/b].

"All-Star Fruit Racing“ ist ein Arcade-Rennspiel.

Das Spiel erinnert mechanisch an "Mario Kart". Allerdings dreht sich hier alles um Früchte. Wir sammeln Früchte ein und machen fruchtige Spezial-Effekte.

Ansonsten sind die Parallelen aber offenkundig. Aus der Verfolger-Perspektive steuern wir unsere Renner über einige verschiedene Rundkurse und sammeln verschiedene Power-Ups ein, die uns zum Beispiel schneller machen können oder auch unsere Gegner einbremsen können.

Die Strecken sind gut und recht abwechslungsreich gebaut. Hin und wieder gibt es auch alternative Routen. Die Grafik ist recht comichaft, was aber gut zu dem Genre und zum Setting paßt. Ebenso verhält es sich mit Sound und Musik.

Die Steuerbarkeit ist für einen Fun-Racer ist gut. Es macht Spaß, die kleinen Renner zu steuern. Wir haben auch zahlreiche Möglichkeiten, die wir durch gute Rennergebnisse freischalten, unsere Renner optisch zu verändern, eine Auswirkung auf das Fahrverhalten hat das allerdings nicht. Jedes Gefährt steuert sich gleich, unabhängig davon, welcher Fahrer, welche Reifen oder welche Felgen wir gewählt haben. Hier wurde eine Chance vertan. Zumindest kleine Varianten im Fahrverhalten wären wünschenswert gewesen.

Das kleine Spiel ist simpel und süß. Das Spieltempo angenehm. Auch ist das Spiel relativ einfach. Die KI agiert nicht gerade sehr stringent und wirkt manchmal etwas planlos.

Das Wichtigste aber: das Spiel macht Spaß. Die Menge an unterschiedlichen Strecken und Modi ist in Ordnung und es gibt Trophäen, die wir jagen können.

It's...OK? Technically it has nearly everything a Kart racer should have, but it's just lacking something to make it feel worthwhile and fun. If drift boosting gave you more speed, or the AI cheated a bit less, or the courses weren't so restrictive, or the characters were more endearing ... maybe then I could recommend it. But as-is the 'Mixed' review on Steam suits it perfectly.

The various fruits make for a cute theme, but this is nothing that special. It's polished enough, but there are a few things here and there regarding the way the game plays that makes it feel worse. Also, do not use the horn. It is the loudest thing in the entire game by a large margin.

I got this game during Steam's summer sale for the price of $1.47, and for that price, this game is an absolute steal. However, for its regular price of $19.99, I would feel much better recommending you get Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed instead for the same price (you could also get Sonic & Sega All-Stars Racing for half the price).

Unusual racing game with a bit different approach. Collect fruits and mix them together to unleash various power ups. Car drivers representing each fruit and more each having its own special ability. Plenty of customization - change body, wheels, rims and color of your vehicle and save presets. Driving model is basic and feels a bit dull so don't expect advanced physics. Drift to gather boost however you can smash onto barriers and still maintain the drift. Controller support is fine except no vibrations. If playing on ultrawide monitor make sure to grab appropriate community fix. Music is average and sometimes doesn't fit. Tracks are mostly good and detailed so no complain here. Overall play if you're looking for something new but nonetheless game is mediocre at best.

The devs who made this game stupidly mapped the movement to WASD, when everyone is used to playing racing (on the keyboard) with the arrow keys… The worst part isn’t even that. They don’t give you the option to rebind the keys.

It’s not enough that the game is generic—if that were the only problem, fine, you could manage… but generic and inaccessible for people who play with the other hand? Seriously, I’m never buying anything from these devs again.

I've played a lot of Kart Games on Steam...And [i]All-Star Fruit Racing[/i] ain't it.

Firstly, the enemy A.I is extremely overpowered and unbalanced.
Secondly, what the hell are these [b]horrific[/b] character models??

Visually (aside from the characters), the game looks good. The game-play and mechanics are quite fun and I loved the addition of a 'first-person' mode.

But aside from that, this games is a hit and miss.

El juego si bien no es un mario kart, crash team racing, etc... no es bueno ni malo, tiene sus cosas por ejemplo:
Pro:
buena jugabilidad pues el tipo de derrape se parece al de mario kart solo que este es mas facil de realizar!
cada personaje tiene su habilidad y eso hace que cada carrera sea diferente y uses diferentes estrategias para vencer a los oponentes.
las pistas estan ok son muy variadas y muy coloridas, me gusta una donde sale el dinosaurio Fruta.
hay variedad de carreras desde el clasico 1 vs 1, time atack, eliminacion, sprint, circuito y uno que es en que dependiendo la frutas que combines sera el ataque que podras hacer y eso lo hace muy tactico.

lo malo:
Graficos de carton (pero lo corre una patata).
personajes aburridos y sin chiste.
las ultimas copas en lugar de elevar la dificultad solo te estan espameando poderes para que quedes en ultimo.
algo corto si eres pro en juegos de carreras.
la personalizacion de los coches algo pobre.
online muerto.

en si te lo recomiendo si esta en oferta si no no lo compres y espera su oferta pues ya es un juego viejo y muerto.
eso si, es entretenido y aveces frustrante pero completar las copas es muy buen desafio sobre todo las ultimas 3 copas!
hay una pista que es de arco iris bien dificil por que todos te atacan a ti y pues ganarles a todos con todo en contra es un logro para presumir jajaja.

Estamos ante un Titulo de Carreras estilo Crash team Racing. hermosisimos graficos estilo Cartoon, buena musica y sonidos, 4 powerups que se van cargando agarrando los items que hay por la pista.
Se trata de ganar y bueno no hay mucho mas, es eso un juego de carreras. Tenes distintas copas y personajes y moto multiplayer. Carece de Workshop y editor de niveles, lo que habria otorgado experiencias interesantes.
Logros y CROMOS mejoran el valor del titulo, el cual solamente tiene sentido a mi criterio si esta con mucho descuento.

Jugabilidad generica pero Graficos realmente muy lindos e ingeniosos, algo corto pero se disfruta.
8/10 - Podia ser mejorable en los puntos que resalte y tambien tener mas copas.

Достаточно примитивный геймплей, физика отсутсвует, машинки едут как на рельсах. Из персонажей - одни полуумные бабы, сложилось впечатление что игру делали феменистки. Из плюсов только копеечная стоимость и неплохой визуал, для детей не искушенных играми игра подойдет.

Overall game is pretty fun, but there are some serious issues.

The item mechanic is actually pretty cool and unique, but there are a lot of issues with it, like for example there are too many hitting items and a lack of good boost items. That leads me to another issue and that is that items slow you down waaaay too much. if you get hit by an item you instantly stop for a good second and sometimes even more, and it's really frustrating cuz lack off good boost items make it so you can't really catch up when you get chain hit (Mario Karted).

Map design is by far the best part of this game. Tracks are really fun to drive and very visually appealing with a great overall layout. IDK who's idea it was to make edges in this game so restrictive, but every time you even slightly go off the edge you will get teleported back like you fully fell down. And it's especially bad the the last track in the carrier mode, which is just this games version of rainbow road. I actually really like the map design so much it makes me wish these tracks were in something like Crash Team Racing.

Controls are passable. They are not bad, but also not anything special they are really middle of the road with some questionable decisions, like having camera turning be on the Dpad instead in the right sick, ability button being R3, and fruit choosing being the face buttons.
Although i will say that the first person camera is a really cool addition to this game and it makes me feels like other kart racers could implement it in some way in their games.

The sound design in this game is god awful, to the point when i had to play the game completely muted cuz it was that bad. Audio balance is really bad and song on the tracks don't even loop well. Some of them are actually so short to the point where, you will hear the song start and end on the same lap twice.

Speaking of design character designs are very bland boring and basic af, and the same goes for vehicles.

Overall game is like a 6/10 :)))

Hey,

habe mir das Spiel hauptsächlich als PC Alternative zu Mariokart gekauft. Es kommt an das Nintenso Spiel leider nicht heran.
Ich finde die Stärke der Gegner willkürlich. Mal ist es einfach, erster zu werden, und dann komme ich bei guter Fahrweise nicht über einen 5ten Rang hinaus. Glücklicherweise kann man beim Grand Prix jedes Rennen wiederholen.

Ich habe das Spiel mit drei Controllern am geteilten Bildschirm ausprobiert. Funktioniert.

Einen Battlemodus gibt es leider nicht. Die Items, die man benutzten kann, sind meines Erachtens nach zu kurzlebig und das ganze Früchtesystem scheint mir ziemlich kompliziert zu sein. Für kleine Kinder ist das Spiel wohl nichts,

Ich würde gerne einen halben Daumen nach oben geben, weil die Grafik ansprechend ist und die Strecken auch ganz gut sind. Es macht auch irgendwie Spaß, wenn man sich denn an die Fahrweise und das Driften gewöhnt hat. Außerdem läuft es aus dem Steam Deck. Also, installieren, das Steam Deck zu Freunden mitnehmen und eine kleine Spielesesson kann beginnen :-).

Ich habe das Spiel im Sale für kleines Geld erworben. Es gibt aber auch eine Demoversion, bei der man auf zwei Strecken alles ausprobieren kann.

Мне не понравилось следующее:
- Все персонажи на одно лицо и от них так и веет зловещей долиной.
- Дрифт по краю не даёт никаких бонусов.
- Нет бустера за удачный старт.
- Нет прокачки карта.
- Только одна модель автомобиля и очень слабая кастомизация.
- Локации слабо отличаются друг от друга.

I am 32 years old.

My ex-wife and I have a daughter together, and we adopted our son together. Both are now 4 years old.

When we were going through our separation, I felt lost and unhappy. I was self-destructive. One day, I was so angry with everything spiraling out of control that I punched a concrete wall in a moment of overwhelming emotion. This resulted in breaking my fifth metacarpal in my right hand—the hand I worked with, played games with, and used to carry my children to bed—the hand I desperately needed to ensure I could continue providing.

Upon learning the severity of the self-inflicted damage, I became almost suicidal. Keep in mind that just a few months before this, I was the happiest man, with no history of depression or anxiety. I had never experienced anger outbursts, nor was I the type to break down and cry, but I was in a tough situation that truly prevented me from seeing the light on the other side.

With nothing better to do, I looked for a game I could play WITH ONE HAND while recovering. Somehow, I stumbled upon this game and read some of the comments. I decided it was worth a try... I must admit I didn't beat the game, nor did I play as much as some of you. In fact, I may have played this game for only a day or two. That being said, after doing so, I had a new joy and hope for life. I managed to leave behind the pain and suffering that had been thrust upon me. I could experience the joy and happiness of other people. I relaxed for 5 ♥♥♥♥ minutes listening to this music, long enough to realize that I would be okay.

After realizing this, I turned off the game and went back to work. My hand hurt a lot, but I was motivated. I stopped feeling so sorry for myself and became the father I needed to be at that moment, not the weak boy I was behaving like.

Today, I am close friends with the mother of my children. We don't fight, argue, or say hurtful things to each other. We are parents and friends.

Now I have 3 children. My third child is, wait, ALSO 4 YEARS OLD. The woman I am with was going through a very similar situation at the time of my separation, and we just unexpectedly stumbled into each other's lives. We have been dating for a year and are very happy together.

Moral of the story: you never know what life has in store for you, and if I had given up when all odds were against me, I wouldn't be where I am today. This silly little game helped me realize that.

Llevo ganadas por el momento 2 copas, la copa coco y la copa banana, esta bastante difícil cuando no le encuentras el ritmo, donde la IA te viola en el primer error, y de ahí las reseñas negativas, quieres un juego fácil, no lo juegues, quieres compararlo con Mario Kart? no lo juegues terminaras dándole reseña negativa, tiene su toque original y si le das una oportunidad que sea sin expectativas.

Es desafiante y puede ser muy frustrante a veces, pero las 2 copas que llevo hasta ahora las he ganado con Oro, así que si es jugable y creo que de eso se trata ya que le da mucha rejugabilidad, si te lo ponen todo fácil de ganar solo por participar sería un desperdicio de juego, y creo que es un juego bastante subestimado, porque en verdad tiene potencial, y es divertido, me ha parecido más divertido que Garfield Kart.

Así que no te dejes engañar por las reseñas negativas, para gustos colores y sabores, pruebalo por ti y tu decide si te gusta ;)

É um ótimo jogo com 22 personagens, umas 18 pistas, cada uma mais legal que a outra. Só compre se for jogar o modo campanha, porque o online está morto. Eles fizeram um modo de Mario Kart, bem diferente, ao estilo deles, gostei bastante.

CONTRAS: IA é roubadíssima desse jogo, jogo feito para geração raíz, tem que vencer muito na raça. Vou te explicar que por exemplo, eu em segundo lugar, fazendo drift perfeitamente em todas as curvas e ainda usando o personagem da Morango para usar turbo, no caso usei turbo 03 vezes e não consegui pegar o adversário que nem drift fazia e muito menos tinha turbo. O jogo é apelão demais, você vai passar muita raiva, mas é possível zerar ele em primeiro lugar sim, vai depender do jogador ser muito arrojado mesmo. Se você é geração nutella, passe longe desse jogo porque tu não vai aguentar, aqui está em nível de dificuldade de Atari.

Someone already reviewed this saying that this is the closest thing to Sugar Rush in Wreck-it-Ralph and I 100% agree! This game reminds me of playing Mario Kart on the N64 only this game has it's own unique twist of characters, fruit combos, maps and music! You can even customize your own kart and play with your friends. 10/10

Momentan nicht zu empfehlen, da das Spiel nach ca. einer Minute einfach so abstürzt. Auf zwei verschiedenen Systemen getestet und auch in anderen Rezensionen gelesen, dass ich nicht der Einzige mit dem Problem bin. Anscheinend existiert der Fehler auch schon seit mehreren Monaten und es wurde bis heute nicht behoben.

This game has a few rough edges but don’t let that put you off the core of the game is excellent and a lot of fun.

So what do I mean by rough edges? I’m guessing the developer was a pretty small company at the time they made this game, which means the game is missing some of the features you’d expect from a more established studio and it has a few niggling quality issues. For example when I first started the game it ran on my secondary monitor but set to the resolution of my primary monitor. I managed to change the resolution but never managed to get it to run on my main monitor. There were a few other areas where the game was lacking polish but I don’t want to dwell on them as I don’t want to put you off this game I just want to set your expectations appropriately.

I can forgive minor short comings in a racing game as long as the driving mechanics feel good and this game does that really well. The cars are easy to control, with a satisfying sense of speed. It has a very nice drifting mechanic, it is easy to control your drift and you get a boost as you finish your drift. I thought I was pretty good at this when I finished the career mode, then I tried time trial mode and found I was so far away from mastering this. I think this is a great balance, casual gamers like me can enjoy game but it also leaves room for more hardcore people to spend the time to really master penduluming between your drifts to build up the maximum boost.

The power-up mechanic is novel and although it initially feels complicated and confusing it works well once you get the hang of it. There are different game modes but if focuses round collecting different colours of fruit which you can then combine into different power-ups and each character has a unique ultimate power-up. You can enjoy the game by just firing off whatever power-up you have but again there is another layer to the game if you want to really learn the pros and cons of the different combinations.

The range of tracks are good and the visuals have a charming and cute style to them. The music compliments the visual style well. The music is jolly and catchy. I like the way the music speeds up when you get to the end of the race. There are a large range of visual customisation options that get unlocked as you play through the game which are fun.

Overall the main career can be completed in 2-3 hours. There are achievements and unlocks for playing up to 20 hours but I really don’t see the game keeping my attention for that long without getting into the online mode. I didn’t touch the online part of the game as I have no interest in playing games with strangers but the local split screen mode works well.

I received this game as a gift but it had been on my wishlist for a while so I would have bought it eventually and I can definitely give this game a thumbs up.

Игра не понравилась.
Если входишь в гонку, то не работает клавиша Esc, как в других нормальных играх. Тут оказывается надо жать клавишу P.
Персонажи за которых играешь, водители, очень странно выглядят. Как будто их из дерева сделали и раскрасили. У них всегда растопырены пальцы, даже когда они в меню исполняют анимацию как будто лазят в телефоне. Очень топорно выглядит.
В гонке очень легко потерять место, и очень тяжело его вернуть. Один раз врезались, и вы последний. До конца гонки в топ 3 уже не попадёте.
В целом играть не хочется уже после второго заезда.
И ещё, игра хоть и маленькая, но долго загружает уровни и другие менюшки. Ещё и анимации пока покрутятся, которые нельзя пропустить... приходится сидеть и ждать....

This is a fun and cute battle racing game. It is challenging, but you can win if you try. I have not figured out if kart customization is purely for aesthetics or if there is any actual benefit, but it is fun to be able to win and unlock new features as you go. There are several different race modes, the levels are quite pretty, and each driver has a special and unique skill. It might be worth using a controller for the game, but it can be done with the WAD keys, it just takes a little getting used to. Overall it is a fun game, and I do not regret picking it up on a steam sale at all.

All-Star Fruit Racing ist ein witziges Rennspiel bei dem es einiges über Früchte zu erfahren gibt. Wenn man über die Früchte fährt wird ein Power-up ausgelöst mit dem die anderen Fahrer beschädigt werden. Die verschiedenen Strecken und Fahrzeuge machen Laune, aber auch der Schwierigkeitsgrad ist angenehm. Natürlich wurde das Spiel hauptsächlich für Kinder gemacht, aber auch ältere Spieler werden es mögen.

It crashes after a minute, and there is no support, not even if you send an email. Look at the discussions if you want to see it for yourself.
Clearly my last game from 3dClouds. Steams quality control seems a bit lazy too.

Windows 11 beware,game likely will crash around 1 minute in. The easiest workaround that I know of is to basically start the game,hit airplane mode/disconnect your wifi at the intro start,then you can reconnect it at the main menu,developer hasn't fixed it and it's been an issue known to them since at least last year.

That all being said,it wasn't worth the effort searching for a workaround,it's very boring and had no desire to continue after a couple of races.

I'm not entirely sure why a kart racing game starring fresh fruit exists, but here we are. Despite a title that very much suggests a $3 game created from randomly selected store assets, it actually seems to have had quite a bit of effort put into it. The number of tracks and characters on offer would put most other kart racing games to shame, although the fact that all characters use the same car and customization is purely aesthetic is disappointing. So it's not a lazy game by any means, but is it a good one?

At first, it is actually quite good. The tracks have a lot of variety both in their racing and visual styles. Most impressively, it has a unique power up system where you collect nodes of four different colors and can create power ups by mixing and matching those colors. Some races only spawn a subset of the colors, which can shift individual events to be more about speed or more about attacking opponents. You also have the option of charging up each character's unique super move by filling all four colors and then expending all your energy at once. It's a neat system and other kart racers could certainly learn something from it in terms of giving players more interesting options with their power ups.

Although it's a great idea, issues with the implementation of this system crop up quickly. Some power ups are simply better than others even though they cost less, for example, and I found that it was really only worth pursuing blue and green in order to get boosts. It's possible that I'm wrong about how good the other abilities are, though - since the game doesn't communicate what your abilities are doing off-screen, it's very hard to tell how effective some of the attacks actually are. I didn't bother using my ultimate ability because I couldn't tell if it was doing anything and I could easily have several clearly effective boost power ups for the same effort.

Another major issue, which is one I have with many games in this genre, is that it only really knows how to scale difficulty by having the computer spam you with attacks. It doesn't seem like there's much room to learn to skillfully dodge attacks, and getting hit five times in a row isn't very fun. There is a shield ability you could use in some races to mitigate this, but it isn't very fun to just spam shields and you usually wouldn't be able to collect it rapidly enough to stop the flow of attacks anyway.

The weird balancing and annoying stream of power ups would be tolerable if the game had more variety out of the gate. Like I said before, there are a huge number of tracks and characters, but nearly all of the characters are initially locked and the since many of the tracks take 90 seconds per lap and need five laps, it takes significantly longer to complete a cup in this game than in most other kart racers. Finishing those races at least lets you get to new tracks before too long, but characters are unlocked at a drip feed since to unlock requirements like completing endgame cups or playing for 20 hours. That kind of unlock condition is one thing when you're getting to play as Mewtwo at the end, but leaving the game on overnight is less appealing when the reward is a playable fruit.
