I typically enjoy these sorts of games but this one has two main problems .

1) Backtracking / layout of levels. You will often get an item/clue that is meant to be used with something several rooms back. Lots of " a key for a key" style puzzles. These are often really easy to miss in the environment and there's no flavor text or signposting to point you in that direction. If you're not constantly taking pictures or screenshots you will have a very hard time.

2) Overabundance of "simon" style memorization puzzles. I encountered 2 in the first hour of gameplay. Admittedly these aren't my strong point but they seem overly punishing to be in the first ~45 minutes of the game.

Luckily I got this on sale so it's not really worth the effort to refund.

[b]Context[/b] Agent A is essentially an escape-room game disguised as a retro spy adventure. The setting allows for a bit more narrative than most games in the genre, but unfortunately the writing is weak enough that it ends up making the whole experience feel shallow.

[b]Writing[/b] You play as a spy — the eponymous Agent A — attempting to capture another agent, Ruby. For reasons beyond comprehension, Ruby’s house is structured as a sequence of escape rooms. It’s also never quite clear why she keeps taunting Agent A and allowing him to continue pursuing her, beyond the usual villainous ego (a typical trope, I know). The game clearly aims for a cartoonish tone, but it occasionally stumbles. For instance, Agent A casually blowing up a bridge full of civilians feels oddly out of place given the otherwise lighthearted presentation. And then there’s the inevitable “plot twist”, which is so obvious that it almost feels insulting. Between the usual lack of narrative in escape-room games and this somewhat messy attempt at one, I’m not sure which is preferable.

[b]Aesthetics[/b] The visual style is stylized and low-poly, while the characters themselves appear hand-drawn. It looks pleasant enough, and at least avoids the reliance of other escape-rooms on overly dark environments. The soundtrack is serviceable, and the voice acting is fine, although the dialogue doesn’t do it many favors.

[b]Gameplay[/b] Progression is achieved through environmental puzzles and the collection and use of items. The puzzles are varied — including small labyrinths, sliding puzzles, memory challenges, and simple ciphers — but they are mostly trivial. The biggest difficulty is really remembering codes or patterns located several rooms away. In fact, that constant backtracking becomes the most frustrating aspect of the game. The design often forces you to move between distant rooms (apparently) just to extend playtime, especially in the last two chapters: find a clue in room A to progress in room B, walk all the way to room B to unlock something for room A, walk all the way back, and repeat.

There are no deadlocks, fail states, or game overs. The game auto-saves.

[b]Value[/b] It took me about 4h to beat the 5 chapters of the game, and another 3h to obtain all achievements. One of these requires a speedrun, something I absolutely dislike in puzzle games, although in this case it’s easy enough to accomplish. Other achievements are tied to progression and hidden interactions, some of which span multiple chapters and may require revisiting large portions of the game. There is a single progress slot, but you can revisit earlier chapters. There is also includes an “alternate ending” that requires finding a secret during the playthrough.

This was a very fun point and click puzzle adventure. I love the art style and the voice actors did a good job. I would totally play a sequel if the studio ever makes one. I highly recommend picking this up. If you are hesitant, then wait for a sale, but I promise you'll enjoy it.

每个地方全都是解密的，费脑子，有些解密地方太恶心，来回房间循环来回点找信息浪费时间，有些地方你不去找攻略直接卡关，游戏可玩性还是有的可能不太适合我，解密太多，更想看特工A跟露比的剧情。

很好玩,玩了大概四个多小时,有些谜题很好解,有些是真的意想不到,很早的一个谜题可能需要在经过五到六个场景后才能拿到道具解答谜题,还是很爽的.
但是有几次卡关了,给我难住了,只好查了一下攻略,但是其他部分都很好,无论是美术设计,翻转关卡的精妙设计,还是人物对话,精彩的剧情,都是一流作品.
如果玩解谜游戏的话,这应该是一款不错的游戏选择,强烈推荐

I love puzzle / escape room games, and I'm glad I played Agent A. Entertaining dialogue as well as some Voice Acting, pleasant art style, and great puzzles to solve. My memory failed me a few times so I did have to look things up to jog my memory in order to progress. But when I did solve them, it felt satisfying to do so.

Only minor grievance with the game is the clicking to go forwards and backwards through areas. The further into the game, the more areas there are to explore, so it can get a little frustrating if you can't remember where things are and have to go searching for them. But overall, I'm very happy with this purchase!

Good story. The mood and tone is nice. I liked the puzzles, and they are medium difficulty if you take screenshots and notes for reference during longer puzzles, otherwise the game would be very difficult. The one thing that drags the whole experience down for me, is the fact that the audio is of incredibly low quality; Either (1) strong dynamic compression, (2) high size compression, (3) low sampling frequency, or (4) low bit depth – or any combination of these – degrades the experience and makes the audio unpleasant, and it was tiring to listen to for me. The audio is far from even CD quality, a 1980's technology! The game is about 600 MB, and should perhaps have been 2000 MB, giving what I guess is 1–2 hours of audio, the best treatment. The music is good and fits the game, and it's a shame it sounds so poor.

Agent A is one of the better puzzle games I've played. There are a lot of different puzzles, some with interesting mechanics. I'd say the difficulty of almost all puzzles range from easy to moderate.
The visuals are beautiful, the soundtrack quite enjoyable and the story is ... well it's a James Bond parody in a puzzle game, so you can't expect much from the story.

My only gripe with this game is the amount of clicking, especially towards the end. I actually started counting my mouse clicks, sometimes resulting in 8 clicks or more, to get from one puzzle to another.

All in all Agent A is a really solid game, delivering a well rounded puzzle experience.

It was a very engaging experience for about 5 hours of play, and I know I'm terrible. I think my problem with this game is the level design, which is a bit draggy and too long.

The rest, I enjoyed how Ruby tried to test me as the best Agent on earth 🫡

不多说了，喷气背包MVP好叭！直接媲美柯南的足球说是。
除了只能zoom in & out来切换地图有点难顶之外（尤其是激光那部分跟钻管道的部分实在是很想吐了），解密跟剧情节奏都很喜欢！

그래픽은 옛날 게임이라 살짝 깨지는게 있는데, 멀미날정도는 아니라서 그냥 하기 괜찮습니다. 사실 그래픽은 중요하지 않아요. 게임 자체가 재미있거든요. 퍼즐도 꽤 있고 난이도도 적당합니다. 공략집 찾아볼 정도는 아니고 그렇다고 너무 손쉽게 술술 풀리는 것도 아닙니다. 약간 생각을 곁들여야 하는게 캐주얼하고 하기 좋아요. 저는 개인적으로 정가주고 할만하다 생각하는데, 그래도 옜날게임이긴 하니 세일할때 사세요. 후속작을 기다리는데, 안 나올 거 같습니다. 이 게임 이후로 적당한 추리게임 찾아보고 다니는데, 쉽지 않네요.

Solid escape room game. Not too easy, not too difficult.
There is a lot of "a-key-for-a-key" type gameplay, but overall it's neat.

The majority of players finish a first playthrough, which is pretty good.
Achievement hunting has its moments here as well; it mostly boils down to finding some secret interactions, talking to animals and speedrunning.

My mom and I played this puzzle point-and-click spy game together and we both loved it! It had: 1) great puzzles; 2) an abundance of places with unique puzzle and clue placement, but without the game feeling like one wild goose chase or long trek to get to the next solvable puzzle; 3) a few very clever puzzles that almost stumped us, but felt quite rewarding when we were able to work together and successfully solve it without the need for a walkthrough or guide; and 4) a simple and enjoyable story connecting all the events and puzzles together. All-in-all, this was an immensely enjoyable game, and I really hope the developers are encouraged to make a sequel!

好多年前买的高分游戏，自己打完感觉可以打六七分。常规的解谜游戏类型，还是找东西藏密码为主。谜题难度适中，但是指向点击方面有些不舒服的地方，灵敏度不够高，必须按层级进入场景和道具互动，也无法连续回退，有点卡手，其他的没什么问题，属于解谜瘾来了的时候可以玩玩的那种小游戏。剧情基本可以忽略，露比的配音很棒，感觉应该有下一部。
这游戏没有云存档，但是可以按章节进游戏，我中间换了个电脑玩，前一个电脑把某一章通关另一个电脑进下一关就行，还不错。

This was actually a really good puzzle game, not too challenging but enough to make you actually think on where everything has to go and where you saw the clues. I think the story is super simple and unique, there is some really funny dialogue that i enjoyed very much <3 Onyx the cat is a cutie patootie, i wish to keep her to myself. A good Kitty who likes her fishies. Overall really good game! Art style is so pretty, music is good and fitting, voice acting is also good, puzzles are decent. Definitely buy it when its on Sale!

Обаятельный и стильный квест про шпионов.

Геймплей строится на классическом для жанра исследовании локаций, поиске предметов и, конечно же, решении самых разнообразных загадок. Они варьируются от очень простых до тех, что требуют напрячь память и внимательность, но почти всегда остаются логичными и справедливыми.
Визуальный стиль и атмосфера в порядке. Местный Джеймс Бонд постоянно сыплет ироничными комментариями и шпионскими терминами. Рекомендую!

优点：谜题还挺好玩，很多地方虽然难想，但是一旦解出来又觉得很合理，很有意思。
缺点：要到处跑，有比较多时间耗费在跑路上，而且场景过场动画也得1秒左右，尤其是45章。还有就是有几个要收集好几个相同的部件拼起来的关卡，有些不知道往哪找。

Agent A: A Puzzle in Disguise é aquele tipo de jogo que te faz se sentir um gênio… até travar por 10 minutos num quebra-cabeça simples 😅 — e isso faz parte da graça. O jogo entrega uma experiência leve, criativa e cheia de estilo, perfeita pra quem curte puzzles inteligentes com uma boa dose de humor.

O visual é um dos grandes destaques. Com um estilo retrô inspirado nos anos 60, tudo é elegante, colorido e cheio de personalidade, lembrando filmes clássicos de espionagem. Cada cenário é bonito de explorar e esconde segredos em cada cantinho, o que incentiva o jogador a prestar atenção até nos menores detalhes.

Os quebra-cabeças são muito bem pensados: nem fáceis demais, nem injustos. Eles exigem observação, lógica e aquele famoso “clique mental” que dá uma satisfação enorme quando a solução aparece. E o melhor: o jogo confia na inteligência do jogador, sem ficar entregando tudo mastigado.

A narrativa, apesar de simples, é charmosa e funciona perfeitamente como pano de fundo. A perseguição entre o Agente A e a vilã Ruby La Rouge é cheia de humor sutil e situações criativas, mantendo o clima leve e divertido do começo ao fim.

不知道的还以为特工a与露比调情呢，一个人在家里蹿来蹿去，还炸了天花板，露比一点都没发现（你就放太平洋吧）

顶级间谍的大house是没有指纹人脸解锁的，密码是可以靠捡设计图发现的，机关是靠拼图和华容道解开的。不是杠，就是玩游戏时为这些无厘头的解谜会心一笑，我个人还蛮喜欢的。

音效和过场真的是明显的短板。获得新道具时的音效真不得劲，跑路时过场动画太多。至于解谜难度，easy

I played this game when I was much younger and stopped prior to the finale coming out and I was worried returning to it that it wouldnt remain as good as it was when I was a kid and all I can say is I was completely wrong. This should be the golden standard for the escape room point and click genre. I desperately want a sequel and will certainly pay whatever it costs if one comes out.

Agent A: A Puzzle in Disguise foi uma daquelas surpresas extremamente agradáveis que a gente não espera muito e acaba se divertindo do começo ao fim. Jogando em primeira pessoa, senti que ele entende perfeitamente o que quer ser: um point and click leve, inteligente e charmoso, que aposta mais no prazer de resolver quebra-cabeças do que em desafiar o jogador de forma estressante.

A arte em 2D é simplesmente linda. Tudo tem um estilo cartunesco inspirado em filmes clássicos de espionagem, com cores vibrantes, cenários cheios de personalidade e animações que dão vida ao mundo do jogo. Cada sala parece pensada para te convidar a explorar, clicar em tudo e prestar atenção aos mínimos detalhes, algo essencial para o gênero.

A trilha sonora é outro grande acerto. Com uma temática clara de espionagem, ela ajuda muito na imersão, reforçando aquele clima de agente secreto em missão, mas sem nunca se tornar cansativa. É o tipo de música que acompanha bem o raciocínio e deixa a experiência ainda mais agradável.

Os puzzles são bem dosados: criativos, acessíveis e, na maioria das vezes, lógicos. Raramente senti frustração, e quando fiquei preso, era mais por falta de atenção do que por soluções mal pensadas. Isso faz com que o jogo flua de forma natural, sem quebrar o ritmo.

No fim, Agent A é perfeito como aquele jogo para relaxar depois de algo maior e mais denso. Ele não exige pressa, não sobrecarrega e entrega exatamente o que promete: uma aventura divertida, estilosa e confortável, ideal para desacelerar e simplesmente curtir o momento.

不错的解谜游戏，优缺点都比较明显，但总体比较推荐。
[h3] 优点： [/h3]打折时还不到10r，游戏体量适中，不看攻略约需4~5h。主角agent A的内心戏也很有意思，很萌的吐槽役中二特工妹妹www
[h3] 不足之处： [/h3]其中最大的问题是后期要反复跑图，这点很多评价都有提及。其次，解谜游戏爱好者在游玩过程中不免有各种既视感，过于追求新意的玩家可能体验不到太多乐趣。个人觉得无伤大雅，毕竟解谜游戏基本已经形成各种定式了。但游戏打折的时候才几块钱，还要什么自行车^^
[h3] 游玩建议： [/h3]想做全成就的玩家可以在一周目时就去查查各个成就要怎么做，有些成就错过节点了就只能下周目再做，比较麻烦。加上速通2h成就，全成就至少需要2周目。如果一周目不想提前查攻略，可能需要3周目补成就。
结局TBC，大概还有续作？期待一下，希望续作可以优化下跑图安排。

五个章节，彩蛋很多。地图太大了而且错综复杂，解个密跑了八百里路既视感。谜题种类很多，卡关时真的卡得不知天地为何物。但是优点是美术风格很好，转场及其精致，剧情么也就图一乐，并没有什么紧迫感感觉大家都挺松弛的。谜题也是有小巧思在的，也会有那种让我惊叹“还能这样？”的解谜，人物形象和动物形象都很可爱。最后是不是暗示有第二部？但好像最后也没有第二部……

I really enjoyed playing Agent A! It had a lot of good puzzles, a stylized & colorful aesthetic, intriguing cutscenes, and unexpected funny moments from characters and text as you click all around. It played just fine on my laptop with trackpad, especially once I realized I could use spacebar instead of right-click to go back in a scene. Getting all the achievements was rather fun, and not hard (if you follow some tips from a guide.) I grew up with the CDRom game Spy Fox, and this slightly reminded me of that, but more mature and puzzle-heavy. If you like puzzles and point & click games, this is a good one to experience - especially if you pick it up on sale. ;)
