Great Puzzle Game
Sencillo pero divertido puzzle platformer, lástima que siempre fui pésimo en los puzzles.
Um jogo de plataforma e quebra-cabeça com uns problemas de design dos níveis. Acaba se tornando frustrante em alguns momentos e nada intuitivo sobre o que fazer e para onde ir. Repetitivo também.

1000 Amps is a puzzle platformer/Metroidvania with a minimalist style in terms of graphics and audio, but it certainly goes all out on the puzzle mechanics. Every room is dark, and tiles only appear when touched by you. Finding all the light blocks returns light to the room permanently, and finding more light blocks within a room increasing your jump height, allowing for more exploration without cheapening future puzzles.
Exploration is non-linear in most sections and you'll stumble across multiple upgrades, like teleportation.
Everything culminates in a boss fight, that unfortunately isn't as well implemented as it could be, as it's not actually beatable when you first encounter it. However, the warning to tell you this is easily missed and doesn't repeat after the first time, which resulted in my wasting nearly an hour trying to beat an unbeatable boss.
That can absolutely be put down as a skill issue though, and the rest of the game makes up for these mistakes. The puzzles won't blow you away but they are solid, and this is an experience you can beat in 2-3 hours, or double that if you want to solve every room and find every secret.
tl;dr cute puzzle platformer with some neat ideas.
Cool little combatless puzzle metroidvania. Timing required occasionally. Quite unique. Highly recommended.

*sigh* This game. I wanted to like this game. A metroidvania without guns and an interesting sound design. Heck, I wanted to LOVE it. It's a really interesting idea. Sure, the level design can be weak, being VERY fond of unrecoverable falls that make you go the LONG (really, really long) way around to try again. And the controls can be a bit wonky. But there was a steady feeling of progress and learning that didn't make it seem so bad most of the time.
And then I got to the final boss. And the final boss is the most aggressively unfun experiences I have ever had in gaming. Nowhere else in the game can you die, except the final boss. Ok. You can only take one hit. The boss has (at least) four phases, and you have to start over from the very beginning if you die. Been through worse. You have to touch all of certain nodes around the screen before you can hurt the boss. Sounds normal. The boss can hide out of bounds and still hit your characters. Not particularly fair, but fine. The boss can cancel out your nodes FASTER than you can touch all of the nodes. And your jump height and reach are tied to how many nodes you have touched. ...
...
OH COME ON NOW. There are bosses of skill. There are bosses of memorization. And then there are bosses of pure luck, that sometimes say, "You're going to lose now," and there is nothing you can do about it. In the third phase of the boss, you have to touch 12 notes. Roughly every second the boss, who is probably sitting out of bounds, sends 3 attacks at you. If you are close to one of the nodes, they will cancel out your having touched it. Your jump height is tied to how many nodes you have touched. So you can jump, have the bomb explode, reducing your jump height, fall into the explosion, and die. You have a teleport ability. You need to use the ability to get near some of the nodes, which are all at or in the walls. You try to use the ability to teleport to one of the nes while being attacked. But you jumped, so the screen shifted. Now you're either jumping into the wall, in which case nothing happens, and you die. Or you teleport short, which is within the explosion range, and you die.
I grinded the final boss until my hand cramped. One time I ended up in a continuous figure eight cycle, touching node 12 just as the boss cancelled out node 11. I finally beat phase 3. Phase 4 started, the boss shot a batch of explosives at me, I hit an invisible wall, I died. Less than 2 seconds, total.
I quit at 97% completion rather than beat the boss. THAT'S how fun the end of the game is.

Засчет "невидимых" блоков каждая комната воспринимается как "terra incognita", которую интересно "разведывать". Также сами игровые экраны спроектированы очень грамотно и постепенное введение новых препятствий не дает заскучать.
Этот проект - эталон того, как вокруг одной простой идеи можно выстроить интересный геймплей. И жанр "метроидвания" здесь полностью оправдан. 1000 Amps "выкручивает" принцип "бритвы Окама" на 1000% убирая из игровой формулы все лишнее и сосредотачиваясь на том как создать такие игровые уровни, в которые будет интересно играть. И с первых минут она увлекает своей необычной задумкой. И разными подходами к прохождению комнат.
Из минусов могу отметить почти отсутствующее музыкальное сопровождение. Хотелось бы более интересный эмбиент, нежели единичные ноты пианино, хотя я понимаю, что такой звук выбран намерено под стать минималистичному артдизайну.
1000 Amps, к сожалению, не обошло "родимое пятно" всех представителей жанра метройдов - бэктрекинг. Переодически сталкиваешься с "комнатами-тупиками", которые не пройти, пока не откроешь новую способность. Но где именно эту способность искать не вполне ясно. А внешняя "похожесть" игровых экранов вкупе с невнятной (и очень маленькой) миникартой приводят к тому, что прервав игровую сессию. Я вернувшись к игре через несколько суток абсолютно потерял ориентацию в игровом мире. Куда идти, где я был? Создается впечатление, что игру проще и приятнее проходить "в один присест", но сложность и неочевидность некоторых "комнат" приводит к долгим "затупам", что мешает продвигаться далее. Однако, несмотря на ощутимую нехватку бюджета и озвученные мной "шороховатости", проект получился интересным. В качестве первого проекта разработчика-одиночки более чем достойно. Рекомендую к ознакомлению.
Genuinely beautiful game
1000 Amps is a neat little, overlooked, puzzle-y metroidvania. Definitely worth a look for fans of the genre.
It's a cute puzzle platformer. I'm not a fan of puzzles. They're hard. But, hey, if you like that sort of thing this is certainly worth a shot.

1000 Amps is an interesting little Puzzle Platformer / Metroidvania. Light your way through the darkness as you power yourself up! The game can be a little frustrating at times but as you play through the game and unlock new abilities your traversal will be made much easier! The map can be a little confusing when 100%ing with all the backtracking but you get used to it after some time. The story is incredibly short and simple and in the end your skills will be tested against the Intruder!
I wish I played this game earlier but hey! Better later than never! Honestly this game has more positives than negatives for me so yeah of course I recommend it if what you see interests you!
A simple puzzle platformer, or so it seems, at first. Slowly you begin to realise the complexity of the interlocking puzzles and achieve a really satisfying sense of how this works. Highly recommended for a game where you will not have to spend 3 hours learning the interface, but you can just get into it and play.

Metroidvania con mecánicas originales, casi sin enemigos y donde el desafió esta en entender como desbloquear cada zona a medida que adquirimos nuevas habilidades. Algunas veces pide mucho de nuestros reflejos, destacando al jefe final, pero con paciencia se puede superar. Si una zona es muy difícil, tal vez te falta una habilidad, seguir por otra parte del mapa.
PROS:
• Sus mecánicas para desbloqueas las distintas zonas.
• Es gratificante al superar sus desafíos.
• Transmite una buena sensación de exploración.
• Las semillas sirven para desbloquear zonas (consume 5). Tuve que usarlas dos veces, una en un cuarto en grilla y otra en un lugar que me quede atrapado.
CONTRAS:
• Pantalla muy pequeña, incluso en modo completa.
• El mapa es confuso y no se ven detalles.
• No explica mucho de las habilidades que vas encontrando, hay probar.
• No tiene traducción al español, solo ingles.

10 year old monochromatic platformer that feels justifiable to beat 100%

It's a fun little game. There are some rooms that are more frustrating than others, but for those one can use seeds.
Clearing the rooms to find all the hidden blocks sounds like playing Minesweeper without the numbers and just trying to click on every bomb, but all the additional mechanics in 1000 Amps make it very satisfying. Being able to light up a room that you'll later return to from another side and unlocking skills also pretty much make it a puzzle metroidvania, and that's a surprisingly good genre mashup!
I love this game. After nearly a decade of first finishing it I decided to play through it again, and it was just as good as the first time around. I haven't seen a platformer like it before or since. Top marks.
A fun little metroidvania platformer.
It is very satisfying to go round and turn on all nodes of a room / set of rooms. It can be quite irritating on a few of the rooms but solving them tends to give a release that is worth it. My only real complaint would be the game running at a quite low resolution regardless of your settings, if it is in fullscreen etc but for the cheap price, it is a pretty good casual game to pickup!

Blindly bumping into things to reveal the level is not fun. Because you are blind, you can accidentally move into another room and lose progress. Or if you miss a jump and go into another room you lose progress. When energy is removed from teleports seems random and buggy, or at least I can't figure out the rule.
Though this game promised 1000 Amps, it is merely an Amp.
Fun little game. My biggest gripe is the lack of resolution scaling. You are either playing in 640x480 window, or having it stretched really far out in fullscreen mode.

Great little short Metroidvania, distinctive art style, solid gameplay.
A very nice and short psuedo-metroidvania. You gain abilities and can come back to get stuff you missed, as is par for the course, but there is essentially only one path that you are heavily recommended to follow, lest you stop making headway. Main concept is fun, a paint the world type gimmick. It took me maybe three hours to beat 100% (my review time says 5 but I stopped to eat). Definitely worth the 5 bucks, but if you can get it on sale, even better.
This is a super fun puzzle games that has a bunch of issues. First off I like the game. However the graphics are massively outdated and if you want to make the game full screen it just zooms in on the game and all the pixels. Really, that is terrible game design. Also only keyboard and mouse for this one. No controller support. No key mapping or even a list of available of you actions that you can perform. Plus it crashes from time to time. Overall I still like the game but these fixes should really be addressed.
neat exploration game, but i caution that the final boss is unlike any other aspect of the game, and kinda ruins things unless you've unlocked the secret upgrade. its a 4 phase one hit kill boss fight, and its just awful.
Otherwise, its fun trying to light up all of the areas!
Beat the 4 main missions, unlock final boss, beat 3 combat stages of final boss, get to 4th stage where I keep dying and don't know why. Repeat many times and continue dying. Go online - "oh you can't actually beat the boss until you unlock and beat the secret area that can only be teleported to from the far corner of the map."
Spend 20 minutes getting to the secret area, play through the entire secret level, get to the end - there's a pain in the ass jump that if you miss, drops you back down to the beginning of the game, requiring another ~30 minutes to get to where you just were.

If feeling around a dark room for a light switch was made into a video game
Except if you don't find every light switch in the dark room and you accidentally step one toe out of that room, you have to find all of the light switches again, sometimes not even being able to go back into that dark room until you make your way through four other dark rooms first that all use those same rules aswell
Neat idea in theory, but it gets too difficult too fast (at least for me), meaning it winds up being more frustrating than fun. I've downloaded it twice now, and each time given up after about an hour because I just know I don't have what it takes to make it through to the end. If you love really difficult games requiring precise timing and perseverance, it could be worth a go, but for everyone else there are just too many more entertaining alternatives to recommend this.

Not Recommended.
I've played this game a few times now, enough to be able to beat the game in 2 and a half minutes. It's overall a good game with a few flaws. It's a fun platformer/puzzle game but it never does anything super spectacular with its mechanics. It's super frustrating at times as well because of the fact that rooms get completely wiped when you leave meaning you can get screwed trying to find the last node and losing all your progress. Also things like conveyor belts work funny more often than not and I still don't understand them, some puzzles feel like dumb luck and honestly I feel like I do a lot of them the unintended way, which might be a good thing depending on who you are. There's also a lot of "troll" areas that bring sweep you away or knock you off that make certain areas frustrating. Overall though most of the upgrades fix those problems and once you get them the game becomes a lot more of an enjoyable experience. Enough that the frustrating beginning is worth the pay off.

Really fun little Puzzle Platformer.
One of the best puzzle platformers out there
After hearing how great this game supposedly is from both reviews here and on gaming websites, I figured I'd give it a try, especially since it only cost 4 bucks.
It started out fun, until I got stuck in the endless looping of the "Swept Away" area. I know some review mentioned a teleport mechanic that you get in the first 10 minutes. Maybe that mechanic however it works makes this area bearable, but all I know is there are a series of rooms that keep dumping you into "Swept Away" which makes you ride inescapable conveyor belts and deposit you into "Jump High and Higher". And the game only gives you one way out of this loop, and it involves a series of rooms, which even after solving, so you're not jumping around in the dark any more, still require fairly precision jumps to not fall back to "Swept Away". If failing a room made you restart a room, that would be just fine, but when failing a room results in you having to go through a bunch of other rooms over and over until you get the chain of rooms solved and time your jumps just perfectly with no indication that you will eventually escape the looping area, it becomes an exercise in frustration.
Maybe I missed a power-up somewhere that allows me to avoid this repetitive frustration, but if so, the game is badly designed in that it was possible to miss this power-up.

Extremely annoying game mechanic
Fun, short game. If there was anything I'd fault it with, it's that the minimap is too low res and a bit hard to parse, it's difficult to check it for missing rooms at the end of the game
What at first appears to be a simple little puzzle game, quickly turns into a surprisingly complex metroidvania style quest for freedom. Your task is simple - turn on all the nodes to power up your escape. The further through the game you progress, the more the level expands and opens, and twist and turns, and headaches.
Abilities unlock. New paths are discovered.
Suddenly you're lost.
Just one more node.
One more.
One....

Fun little indie game.
Minimalistic, yet pretty graphics, interesting mechanics. Surprisingly large world with lots of areas to explore and figure out.

This little game is an absolute gem. Very simple, unique, creative, and open ended.
If you like platformer puzzle games It really is a must buy.
The game's gimmick needed to be refined much more before throwing it into a full length game, especially one so maze-like where the gimmick feels like it's punishing you. It stops being fun trying to guess where holes in the floor are in the dark pretty quickly. That in itself wouldn't be so bad if back-tracking wasn't a slog and the map was readable. Game doesn't work in full screen, as in, it will look a blurry mess. So you're stuck trying to figure out a rat's nest of rooms in a tiny window, which is pretty bad for something trying to be a Metroidvania.

1000 Amps est un jeu à la réalisation humble, on le ressent cruellement par le manque de support manette ou de fonctionnalités Steam correctes. Des menus élaborés ou un véritable mode plein écran ne sont arrivé que plus tard dans ses mises à jour, ce qui en dit long sur le focus du développeur: procurer une expérience particulière avant tout.
Sur ce dernier point, c'est réussi. Les débuts sont très laborieux (section Nord-Est de l'arbre), mais une fois le sonar débloqué, l'aventure défile et on affronte l'unique boss/ennemi du jeu (je ne compte pas les mines mobiles).
Allumer l'arbre à 100% vous prendra un peu de temps mais sera satisfaisant, en considérant que vous avez débloqué TOUTES les améliorations de votre petit personnage.
Quelques Easter Eggs et musiques bien senties apportent une touche supplémentaire à l'immersion, ce qui nous donne un jeu de très bonne facture, surtout pour 4 euros !

This game is a platform game where you control a light bulb like character and trying to restore the system back to 100% while chasing the intruder out.
You use good old WASD to control your character and mouse to do teleport which you will obtain around 10 minutes into the game. The goal is to light up every energy source in a room to fill up the battery for corresponding room. Once filled up, you are free to use all kind of skills inside that room without any cost. You can keep track where you are with a map in pause menu but the graphic is really horrible. You will need to collect power up and beat the intruder in the end.
I would say it's a good simple platformer game that trains your memory in exploring the map. Some frustrating points can simply be ignored and not game breaking.

Schöner kleiner Jump&Run Puzzeler mit netten Soundeffekten. Nicht allzu schwer, meistens kommt man mit ausprobieren weiter. Man erlernt über die Zeit ein paar Mechaniken die man anwenden muss.
Manchmal muss man etwas Backtracking betreiben wie in einem Metroidvania. Die Grafik ist zweckmäßig niedlich.
Leider gar keine Optionen zum Einstellen der Grafik. Nur Fullscreen/Window. Die Auflösung und Steuerung kann man nicht verstellen.
Alles in allem kann man einen schönen Abend damit haben.
This is a really great game. A nice spin on the classic Metroidvania formula where weapon combat is removed, but not missed. It's a pleasantly paced game, not too fast or slow. Good puzzle elements that balance challenge with manageability. I highly recommend it!
This one is a massive thumbs down for me because on the two times i installed it, it crashed in a very strange way causing me to do a hard reset for my computer. I wouldn't let this dodgy game anywhere near my computer again. It isn't the most engaging game in the world either.
It's a pretty solid puzzle platformer with a lot of great ideas. However, I don't want to wind up looking things up, and I got very stuck not particularly far into the game.
7/10, score would be higher with a better difficulty curve.
Fun little relaxing puzzler
It is a very nice and well put together little metroidvainia/puzzle platformer game. It takes a few hours to complete, but it was a fun few hours!
Un metroidvania orientés puzzles assez mignon, on regrettera la réalisation technique vraiment à la ramasse (gestion du plein écran / map dégueulasse / bindings étranges parfois) qui rend un peu moins agréable un petit jeu plein de bonnes idées.

I 100%ed the game including all rooms and achievements, and some of them were seriously tricky. Aside from not communicating false walls very well in the few places they pop up, I'd call it simply incredible. 9/10 easily.
It gave me a sense of pride and accomplishment that EA never could.

하나하나 직접 길을 밝히다가 조금이라도 삐끗해 다른 맵으로 갔다가 온다면 다시 처음부터 그 맵을 하나하나 밝혀야 한다는 것이라던가
자유롭게 길을 찾아다닐 수 있는 것은 좋았지만 어찌어찌 스테이지를 넘어갔는데 '길을 못찾아서'가 아니라 순전히 어떤 능력이 없거나 해서 그 길을 통과 못해 갇혀서 게임 자체를 처음부터 다시 해야 한다거나
1시간만에 이런걸 다 느끼고 짜증만 남긴 채 언인스톨을 하게 만들었다.
게임을 만들때의 스트레스 테스트와 레벨링이 얼마나 중요한지 다시금 느끼게 만들어주는 게임이다.
First off I was like "wtf am I playing?" But once the game opened up Metroidvania-style, it became really interesting. Some of the rooms were devilishly difficult, but the game gave a nice sense of accomplishment, so it stayed good throughout.
for eight and a half hours and over a period of 4 years, I finally finished this game.
Despite the fact I have hundreds of games on my library, this one I strangely kept returning to.
Glad I finished it.
Simply put, go play it, might take you a few years to get to finishing it, but it was worthwhile.
Pros:
Very quiet game you can cool off with by playing
Large number of puzzles, many of good quality
Sense of progression with ability unlocks and many puzzles that require them to be considered
Cons:
Layout becomes confusing over time, made worse when many puzzle rooms will have push tiles that force you into certain routes and can toss you into other areas you were not prepared for, also easy to get lost
Mechanic of jump height and ability access increasing based on how many nodes are active is interesting and makes moving through completed areas faster, but when entering a new tile, those limitations can be frustrating as starting out, you can't jump higher than one tile.
Map is far from readable, you see what areas you need to complete based on if they are greyed out, however even some completed areas will have areas that remain grey after completing, making it seem like you need to go back and complete it.
Many, many points of no return, the long journey to the infinite powerup can be completely ruined if you fall the wrong way, which puts you back at the spawn and forcing you to walk all the way around.
Final boss uses brand new mechanics (the only thing that 'attacks' the player) and does not explain it, you just have to keep throwing yourself into the boss fight to figure it out

Some secret rooms required for %100 are hidden with blocks that look like the rest but have no collision, essentially demanding you use online help to find them, because you would simply never find them otherwise.

Gespielt wird im winzigen Fenster, und zwar ein Jump'n'Run bei dem man nicht sieht wo man hinspringen kann. Man hangelt sich also ständig an Wänden entlang und hüpft an die Decke - nur um den Level aufzudecken. Keine Ahnung wo da der Reiz ist.
This game is broke as hell.
The map is illegible, much of the room naming is misleading to the point that it's hard to discuss this game with others, and it's pretty easy to get irrevocably stuck. I had to restart [i]1000 Amps[/i] twice (and take [i]multiple years[/i] away from it to rebuild my patience) in order to finish it.
But it's such a good concept that I have to recommend it anyway.
1000 Amps is incredibly minimalistic in pretty much every aspect, and manages to pull it off.
The colors are constrained to different shades of some yellow-ish hue.
The entire world is made up of roughly ten block types with graphics that clearly and intuitively indcate how they behave.
The entire mechanics available to the player are built around the simple synergy between jumping and activating the light blocks in each room. Any upgrades you find are essentially just there to make that single task easier.
The sound is limited to, I think, about three different samples that are played at different pitches, providing acoustic feedback before and background music after clearing a room.
The beauty in this game lies in how well the different mechanics work together.
The more light blocks you activate in a room, the higher you can jump.
If you teleport mid-jump, you keep your momentum and can thus reach greater heights.
Some rooms allow you to reach more and more exits the more powerful you get, and you still use the same core mechanics to get there (as opposed to the usual Metroidvania approach of requiring a particular weapon to remove a particular obstacle).
However, this game is also flawed in at least four ways:
I was unable to identify the exact cause for this, but occasionally, the game would slow down excessively, up to the point where my entire system froze (or rather: ran at 0.02 FPS).
The resolution is locked to a very low one. While the game itself still looks great, the map screen is very hard to read and has some artifacts that are very misleading. The game would definitely still keep its charm and looks at, e.g., 1920x1080, and be much more enjoyable.
Some puzzles are designed in such a way that they can only be solved by chance if you already have certain upgrades.
And lastly the one thing that can easily ruin a really great game, but for some reason appears in so many games that don't need it: Boss fights. While I like the idea behind Amps' boss fight, it was a draining experience to play through that fight. For instance, the boss would often move to an unreachable location and spam insta-kill attacks from there until one of them hit me.
Still, even as I write this review right after chewing through that frustrating boss fight, I feel that the game definitely deserves a recommendation.
I completed the game 100% in about 4 hours, it is fun and enjoyable to go from room to room turning everything on.

I enjoyed 1000 Amps which is a statement that hardly explains my negative review. You see, it is a puzzel game, with a boss battle. The boss battle at the end is nearly impossible without a secret also nearly impossible to find upgrade located above the area you spawn in, but of course that too has to be nearly impossible to obtain. Overall 1000 amps should've just stuck to puzzels, because that boss battle ruined the game for me.
This review is coming after I have beaten the game 100%, there is nothing more for me to do except to replay. I say this because my playtime after beating this game is only about 3 hours give or take and for even a game priced at $5 is really short. That time includes both my first, partial playthrough and my second 100% playthrough. If you are the kind of person who wants a large amount of content for your money look elsewhere. The time, unfortuinately isn't the only thing I have issue with in this game. I'll say now that despite all of what I'm about to say, there is still the seed of a good game inside and I would happily recommend this game if these issues weren't there. Most of my criticisms might seem like small concerns but, throughout the course of the game, they piled up to the point where I couldn't recommend the game.
The next thing I want to talk about is the music. Once you completly light up a room, the music starts playing. This doesn't seem bad until you have to listen to it for longer than ten seconds. I think it's supposed to be Ode to Joy but for some reason they changed the pitches of every note so it sounds like a toddler playing with a toy piano and is incredibly annoying to listen to for any length of time. The game doesn't have a volume slider or even a mute button.
The last thing I want to talk about is the level design. The game is a metroid-vania so platforming is to be expected but the game also has the mechanic where you light up the room and reveal tiles. If you leave the room before you have lit up all of the energy nodes it will turn everything off and you'll have to start over again. Combining platforming with levels you can't see and having to restart the room whenever you leave makes a frustrating experience to say the least. It wouldn't be so bad if the levels or mechanics were designed with this in mind but they weren't so off you go to retry this room again because a pit you didn't see dropped you into the room below. There IS an upgrade that allows you to see the rooms but unless you know where it is you won't be able to try and get it. It might not even be possible to get it before the others.
If 1000 amps 2 were ever released and these problems were addressed, I would probably buy the game. Like I said before I think the core of this game is interesting. The tile revealing gameplay is fun when it is puzzle-platforming rather than trial and error and the powerups are all unique and integrate nicely into the game's unique mechanics rather than being just a double jump or a dash.
A solid little puzzle platformer, with a bit of a metroidvanian feel to how you can explore around the map.
It takes the simple idea of lighting up floors/walls/ceilings by touching them, throws in a few special tile types such as one-way paths and elevators, and with just the abilities to jump and teleport gives you quite a bit of variety in puzzle design.
The difficulty balance of the puzzles is often spot-on, giving you plenty of those fantastic "eureka moments" as you light up the rooms and figure the solutions out. If I had one criticism, it's that certain passive abilities you earn later in the game can turn skippable puzzles from earlier areas into practically self-solving rooms.
However, the game does have a couple of problems that could easily get in the way of your enjoyment.
The lesser of the two is that backtracking can be a bit of a chore. There's no sort of fast-travel to speak of, so if you're on the far west side of the map, and need to go over to the east side to finish a few rooms you skipped, you'll have to slog through all the rooms you've completed along the way. This can get especially annoying in the case of failable puzzles, where you can fall out of the room and be forced into trekking through 5+ other already-beaten rooms to get back to it and try again.
The big issue, though, is that it's surprisingly easy to softlock the game. For reference, you can only teleport if you've lit up at least one of the goal blocks in the room. However, if you teleport next to said block, it turns it off again. There's many situations where it's entirely possible to turn on one goal block, then teleport to a section of the room where there's no goal blocks and the only way to leave is to teleport back out again. If you turned off the goal block in the initial teleport, then the only way to fix this may very well be to start the -entire game over-.
Worth noting is that you do earn a few room skips as you progress through the game, but if you softlock early enough, or after you've used all your unlocked skips (you only get 5 or so total), then you'll still be in a "Whoops, guess I have to start over" scenario.
Overall 1000 Amps is still a good game, and puzzle platforming fans should enjoy the challenges it presents quite a bit, but if you're not the patient type then you may find your fun wearing thin due to the above problems.

A fun little platformer with a minimalist style. I was determined to light up all of the map and 100% it, and almost managed it without a guide; there was just one or two missing doodads that I had to track down.
The level design is good, it flows and feels good to control. The one thing that feels sorta iffy is the last challenge, which is different than everything before it. It's cool though, so I'll give it a pass.
Definitely pick it up if it's on sale, but if you don't want to play a nice little platformer, this probably isn't worth it.
1000 Amps is a stylish, clever puzzle games that probably appeals to people who like that kind of stuff. This isn't a strong recommendation, but it might be worth it if you can get it cheap.
A clever, occasionally devious, Metroidvania-lite (or light, if you want to get specific). Totally worth the price.

Spielprinzip: du hüpfst durch verschiedene Räume die dir am Anfang noch unbekannt sind.. den Inhalt legst du frei wenn du du es berührst, in den Räumen sind leuchtende Steine, hast du alle leuchtenden Stein des Raumes gefunden erhellt sich der komplette Raum und je mehr leuchtende Steine du in dem Raum gefunden hast umso höher und weiter kannst du springen.
Cooles Spielprinzip, auch wenn ich es ein bisschen zu teuer finde. Aber ein Sale kommt bestimmt.
PS: Ich sags mal ganz leise.. gutes Bürospiel, was sich auch im kleinen Fenstermodus gut spielen lässt.. *hust*
My sense of wonder from the exploration got quickly replaced by frustration, after getting unsolvably stuck in two different places in less than 1.5 hours of play, going around in circles without a way out, and ultimately having to restart the whole game.

- The conveyor belt rooms are bloody annoying. Basically they trap the player and take them to wherever without a way out, often having to circle back via multiple other rooms.

While the game's base concept is cute, due to the faulty level design the experience is overall more frustrating than anything else.
Tout mimi, trop choupi, et tellement difficile à la fois. Alors oui, c'est très minimaliste dans les graphismes (mais ça tient particulièrement bien la route malgré tout), mais le challenge est bien là ! Observation. Mémorisation. Réflexion. Réflexes. Tout est réuni pour que ce petit jeu devienne rapidement addictif. Un excellent petit jeu de plateforme/réflexion qui assure de passer quelques heures agréables, ou agaçantes parfois, mais toujours récompensées par la poursuite de cette aventure hors du commun. 1000 Amps est une réussite, en toute efficacité. Idéal pour se faire une petite partie qui ajoutera de l'exploration à la carte, ou pour une intense cure nerveuse et neuronale.
Se joue au clavier et à la souris. Un gameplay 2D intuitif fondé sur la rapidité d'exécution, mais offre de grands moments de prise de tête dans les "salles" aux défis plus subtiles. Peu à peu, le joueur sera confronté aux minis-labyrinthes qui constituent la grande carte générale, mais aussi à des capacité et éléments de jeu qui viennent vite compliquer les choses (blocs qui disparaissent après un contact, élévateurs automatiques, téléportation au clic de souris, tapis roulants et autres petites réjouissances, tout comme une savante combinaison de ces éléments en un même niveau).
Forcément, difficile de ne pas recommander ce petit jeu. L'absence de français ne gène pas tout particulièrement, car il y a peu de textes à l'écran, et ils demeurent assez simples à comprendre (comme tout ce qui concerne ce jeu : facile dans le concept, difficile dans la mise en pratique). Une jolie trouvaille pour les amateurs de challenges, habitués aux jeux de plateforme. N'est pas sans faire penser à "Blocks That Matter", un autre petit jeu dans le même genre (mais à l'esthétique totalement différente).

Nesse jogo você é um plug onde seu trabalho é acender as salas em que você se encontra e iluminando todo o cenário aos poucos.
O jogo é bom pra quem gosta de desafio e usar bastante a cabeça, uma coisa que facilita muito avançar pelas salas é se você conseguir adquirir todos os poderes para seu plug, além do teleport que na verdade foi o unico poder que eu consegui, mas na verdade eu não recomendo nem um pouco pra quem não curte esse estilo, pelo menos no meu caso chega até ser entediante pois embora seja seu trabalho completar todas as luzes da sala qualquer erro que você cometer você é obrigado a recomeçar na sala em que você encontra e até mesmo pode vir a ficar preso sem conseguir avançar o que torna a sua tarefa de completar bem árdua.
Observei que muitos completaram em 10/15 horas de jogo se utilizaram de guias e videos para completar o mesmo o que na minha opinião demonstra que o jogo pode vir a ser bem desafiador sem a utilização desses recursos, então fica a critério do comprador quando comprar se vai valer a pena o estresse ou não.

I really enjoyed this game.
Despite being very simplistic, puzzles are well thought-out, as is the connected map design of the whole game. The puzzles don't feel repetitive.
This started as a flash game ported to C++ and has 2 options, really hecking small window if you have a high resolution monitor, or stretched fullscreen which looks terrible. Windowed mode would be ok if you didn't use the mouse so much. Sound assests are also very poor in quality, to hark back to its flash days.
The game started to fall apart at the end. It is unclear and repetitious in what you must do. I spent at least half an hour trying and failing to beat the boss getting stuck at the end. The game very vaguely tells you once that you might need something to get an "upper hand". I thought it was to make the battle easier as I thought I already had anything. Turns out, there is out of the way item that is REQUIRED to beat the boss.
Eventually I gave up and looked up the steam guides which talked me through the process of getting the item which was repetitive and unenjoyable for a weak payoff for the ending.
I would recommend playing this game up to the ending, then using a guide to complete the rest.
Bounced off of it a couple of times before really digging in. I was pleasantly surprised! Final boss a little too frustrating for me, so I watched it on Youtube. Fun to explore and solve.

Platforming, puzzles and Oh my Golfballs does this game get annoying!
There is nothing actually broken or incorrect wrong with it, per say, but the mental loops and back-tracking you have to do in this game is problematic to say the least.
You are a light plug (I assume) whose job is to find all the blocks in a room.
You start a room with no blocks lit, and anytime you bump into an area where a block is hidden, that block is revealed and blocks you.
Using a jump and bump method, you have to move around a room without falling through the room into another room, until you find all the "lit" blocks.
That is easier than it sounds.
The catch is that if you don't find all the lit blocks in a room before leaving it, the room resets and none of the blocks are visable again.
At anytime you could jump and no block will be there to stop you and you could jump or fall out of that room into another unlit room.
OR, you could land on an automated conveyor belt which whisks you out of the room against your control.
OR, you could have to teleport (a power you get later) and find you don't have enough teleport power to ever leave the room.
OR you could do what I finally did after getting one achievement:
[h1]Uninstall this unfun, stress inducing and mind boggling boring pile of garbage and forget you ever saw it's existance.[/h1]
This game would only be "fun" to a sadist who likes to torture themselves and glees maniacally at the prospect of lighting up another pointless room so you can hear the same looping "finish" music that never stops haunting your dreams.
Despite the high reviews on this product, I urge you... if you have a love for life and can find something to smile about at least once a day, stay as far away from this horror as humanly possible.

Not because the game itself is that bad or broke, but because the horse whipping cruelty that this game will inflict on your mental happyiness is something that should only be used as a torture device to make people talk.

TLDR: Does not fullscreen correctly. Trapped in tiny window. Cheap black and white assets. No Xbox360pad support. Grating casio soundstage.
The cheap casio notes becomes insanely grating very fast. The levels are annoying to navigate since the platforms are invisible. You keep bumping around like a blind bull to try to reveal the squares making the platform. Casio notes go nuts and sometimes you manage to uncover all white squares which create a casio note mini composition which is always terrible. Navigating the environments is frustrating, The jump seemed to vary jump height seemingly randomly. Having to backtrack because you missed a white square is unadvised and you are better off just combing through and getting the screens done one by one. Game saves progress but unless you defeat a whole row of screens it does not seem to register and I had to restart. You know you are done when the battery at the top is full. Not engaging.
An excellent logic / platform game. Some of the puzzles are difficult and they will test your reflexes. Then again, after you get the in-game powerups for your robot things get a little easier. It is possible to complete the game without using the hints ('seeds' as they are called here) even once and yes - you'll get some sort of satisfaction from it :)
The sound in the game is ok, music is kinda lame (very short tune on a loop after you complete a room). However, the black & white design of levels gives you a bit of aesthetic touch. Controls are responsive and well thought out.
Overall, I do recommend this game. Alas, probably not much replayability there.
Therefore, get the game while it's on sale (as you should do with every game ;)
