Ich habe viel zu lange gewartet, bevor ich diesem Spiel eine Chance gegeben habe. Das war ein FEHLER! Dieses Spiel ist großartig, hat mich überrascht und aus den Socken gehauen. Wylde Flowers hat mehr als nur eine gute Story zu bieten. Es behandelt Themen wie Trauerbewältigung, Akzeptanz und Individualität. Man versinkt in den Geschichten und Gefühlen der Dorfbewohner und fühlt sich ihnen verbunden. Außerdem ist es modern!! Gleichgeschlechtliche Paare und Tod, sieht man nicht häufig in Farming Spielen. Meistens werden tiefgründige und ernste Themen in Watte verpackt, aber hier ist das nicht so und das ist es, was mir daran so sehr gefällt. Die Details sind fantastisch und die Vertonung authentisch. Endlich mal wieder ein Spiel, welches eine gute Story, Farming und die anderen genannten Aspekte miteinander verbindet.

A great game. Finally! In a sea of Stardew Valley clones that hollowly mimic the mechanics but put in placeholders instead of characters, Wylde Flowers fields a story and NPCs that are worth our time. In fact it swings hard where SDV merely nudged. We're confronted with hate, death, bigotry, flying pink pigs, the whole nine. And it goes further than My Time In Portia/Sandrock in giving both the 'good guys' and the antagonist shades of grey in their decisions that make their confrontation inevitable, but also unfortunate and not entirely one-sided in its justifications.

Uuuuuuunfortunately, it falls down a bit on the actual mechanics of the game itself. Oh, the farming/mining/fishing/cooking etc are all fine, and entertaining enough, but since the economy of the game is totally broken, they are only there to generate magical items to advance the plot. And that's sad, because this really isn't rocket science. Any freshman with an Economy 101 class under their belt could have redesigned this in one afternoon for the price of a decent lunch. Hell, I'll do it right now: price of apple juice = price of all the apples used + 10% (number of days to produce juice). Done. Right now, you get more money selling your apples straight up than selling the juice, which doesn't make sense in any economy in the world, or even Monopoly.

Don't let this put you off of the game, but do treat it like a VN with stats/procurement gameplay, rather than a farm sim. To deal with the economy problem, the devs give you a massive cheat produce that lets you accumulate almost immediately all the money you can ever need, so it bypasses the issue. It's just a pity their focus was so much on the story, the characters and the endless array of clothes and hairdos, that they didn't put more effort into the farming side of the farm game. It's the only reason this game is not sitting right beside SDV as my all time favorite right now. But I definitely recommend it regardless, for the fun I had and the quality of the story alone.

Après une bonne centaine d'heures de jeu à passer heures carrées sur le développement de ma ferme, faire connaissance avec les habitants et finir l'histoire principale (visiblement car y'a un générique !!!), je suis particulièrement ravie de ce jeu.
C'est un bon style de jeu chill de farmsim 😊, qui permet d'évoluer en douceur sans pour autant être trop overbookée à faire je-ne-sais-combien-de-tâche. L'histoire est particulièrement intrigante, l'univers est super sympa.
Même si j'ai fini l'histoire principale, j'ai encore pas mal de choses débloquer ! Donc à consommer sans modération les jours où on veut juste se relaxer et se promener à Fairhaven, et la magie opère 🪄

TLDR; a great story game wrapped around a farm sim, but with maybe too much content for the mechanics to keep fresh.

There's a lot to like here! Soft (HA!) writing, LGBTQIA+ characters who are written as real people and not just there to tick a box, a chill soundtrack and a whole handful of cute critters.

Gameplay-wise, it's hardly reinventing the wheel. It's a story game built around a farm sim frame. Expect to farm, mine, fish, and otherwise manufacture your way through the content (although you can continue play after completing the story), occasionally waiting around for production queues to finish or foraged resources to respawn so you can turn a quest in. Really, if you like farm sims, you'll like Wylde Flowers.

Unfortunately, it also suffers from content bloat. There is (perhaps) too much to do, particularly once the impetus of the main plot runs out. Some quests and story events only trigger when you're in the right place at the time, so finding the content can be tricky/frustrating and it can sometimes be annoying. I'd hazard a guess that I'd made...75% of the recipes by the end of my 83 hour playtime. Is the price a steal for that amount of content? Absolutely. Just...know that there may be times when it feels like you have nothing to do and then a whole bunch of content arrives at once.

All of which is to say, I mostly enjoyed my time with the game, but don't see myself replaying it again any time. I am excited for Wylde Society, however.

Among the best in the "cozy"/farming genre. While it feels lighter on the farming/ranching (and you can automate much of that in late game), it's much heavier on story than many, which is where the charm lies. All of the dialogue is fully voiced & I personally didn't find any of the VAs grating or awkward. Lots of cutscenes and TONS of unique dialogue that changes along with story events. Also, it's witchy if that's your thing, though not a spooky/dark witchy story. Really well-rounded, really chill. I'm at nearly 60 hours and while I've finished the main story, there's still quite a bit of story/quest content that I think was added in later updates. Definitely recommend.

I absolutely ADORE this game and can't wait for the second game. It's so unique and while it has some very familiar themes (farming, fishing, mining, etc.) it's completely taken them and made them it's own! I also really love how the magic aspect is a big part of the game and how the seasons change with progress rather than being timed and feeling rushed to complete everything in one season. I also really liked the organic cast of characters and the overall art style of the game. If you're a farming sim and cozy gamer I think you'll really love this game.

I loved this game so much. One of my favourites since Stardew Valley. The artwork/style of the game is way prettier than it seemed in the pictures. The story is great, the quests are varied. The villagers were created with great attention to detail, and the dialogues are lively. At the end I felt like I had gotten to know a bunch of individuals, not just flat NPCs. My only criticism is that, in my opinion, the main story ended rather suddenly and too early. I always play games very thoroughly, doing all the side quests before progressing through the main story, delaying the main story for as long as possible, grinding a lot, etc. Nevertheless, the main story was already nearing its end when some aspects of the game were only just becoming accessible (I'll remain vague here to avoid spoilers). Completing these when the game is basically over holds no appeal for me. Apart from that, I highly recommend it!

I'm only in the summer of the first year and I'm genuinely enjoying how many surprises I'm finding out about as the game progresses. At the beginning, it felt a bit simpler and slower than I hoped for, but once you get going, things really start to open up and there's a lot more to do.

Cozy game, lots of diversity, don't have to manage inventory space, crafting is pretty straightforward and matched with where you're at in the game so it's not too much of a slog.

Also, I love cats and was delighted by something that just happened! But I won't spoil it. :)

Can't wait to see where the rest goes :)

I can't believe I haven't recommended this game yet. I am currently playing through this a second time, and it is very cozy to return to Fairhaven. I recommend this game, because along with the farming there is a story line. The NPCs have an expansive dialogue and it doesn't really begin to repeat until the very end of each season. I am currently achievement mining so its fun to be able to do that.

I love this game, the main story is interesting and you get to know the characters and get invested into their lives. The effort put into the voice acting is amazing and really adds to the experience. I love witches and this is my first game that I really got into after playing stardew valley without it feeling grindy. This really feels cosy and I like the fact that you can save your progress whenever, without waiting to sleep. This is my second time I bought this (first on Nintendo switch) as I didn’t get very far in the story, and I am glad I got back into it ☺️

This is my new number one example of a farming sim type game that made me care a lot about the whole town and what happens to the people in it. Strong main plotline and great pacing for new plot developments, with a couple days in between to allow for more relaxed farming etc. Great voice acting, great variety of characters, great interactions with other characters during plot events.

There is a plot arc about individuals being unfairly targeted by authority figures, which may warrant a content warning in the current day and age.

The personal romance element felt a bit lightweight to me. Cute, but not too deep.

Anyway, after this one, I'm hyped for the next game from this studio.

This is the most joy and satisfaction I've had from a game in a long time, I'm sad that I reached the end of the story. Watching the credits I saw that each character had their own unique voice actor, and the music is apparently played by a large orchestra. I cannot recommend this game enough.

There were a couple of points in the story where I got a bit stuck, or felt like it became too grindy, but those were soon followed by a solution that made it all the more satisfying to overcome the obstacle.

Do I recommend Wylde Flowers? YES.

The storyline keeps on giving. New characters come along throughout the game, and some leave too (so, if you're an achievement hunter, you'd better get certain things done before end of year 1).

I am on my second playthrough, but also still finishing the countable achievements on my first (which is now in year 4).

This game is cute and witchy, and there is always something interesting happening. I'm excited for Wylde Society to be released!

I love this game so much, I've replayed it at least 4 times, a couple years apart. It's such a cosy game but the story is outstanding and voiced at every scene which is impressive! There's tons of quests, lots of crafting and unlockables. The relationship building is where this game really shines. I can't recommend enough.

Но сломано напрочь, и дело не только в рыбных палочках.
Можно купить тунца у рыбака за 20 монет, муку в универмаге за 15 и продать сделанную рыбную палочку за 100, это позволяет удваивать сумму за каждый забег от магазина до дома и обратно и накрутить сколько угодно бабла.
Но рыбалка сама по себе приносит хороший доход и без рыбных палочек. Наживка стоит 4 монеты, а рыба от 20 до 40. С отключенным режимом этих рыбных палочек все равно можно набрать монет,
Основная проблема что сломана прогрессия снаряжения, можно купить золотые слитки и сходу сделать топовые золотые кирку с топором. Хотя это конечно потребует больше времени. Затем взять стек кофе, пойти в шахту и за пару дней дойти до нижних этажей и фармить деньги с ювелирки.

Wylde Flowers ist genau das Spiel, nach dem ich gesucht habe. Ich wollte unbedingt etwas spielen, das cozy und etwas langsamer ist und irgendwas mit Farmarbeit/Pflanzen/Tiere zu tun hat. Ich liebe Stardew Valley und Harvest Moon seit langem und in diesen Spielprinzipien reiht sich auch Wylde Flowers sein. Was mir besonders gut gefällt, ist natürlich der Zauber/Magie Aspekt, der frischen Wind in diese Art von Spiel reinbringt. Ein persönlicher RIESEN Pluspunkt ist für mich übrigens auch die Diversität im Spiel und wie queer es ist <3 Großes Suchtpotenzial bzw eine gute current obsession für mich und ganz genau das, was ich mir davon erhofft habe.
Und es hat recht niedrige Anforderungen, sodass es auch auf meinem Laptop läuft, ohne dass es schäbig aussieht :)

The game itèself is ok, BUT i found that i did ALOT of waiting. Waiting for stores to open, or people to be available. There was a lot of times i couldnt move forward on a quest, had no strength left so i couldnt resource, couldnt buy items to cook to get strength as everything was closed so i had to keep sitting there and waiting for the day to change or night to come, and then stores closed early. Anyways it was a lot of time sitting there waiting, and when i asked for a refund it was denied as there was too much time in game.... so that doubled sucked. Anyways the game is not for me. Sucks as i wont play it but maybe others will like it

Its a cute farm sim! I like the supernatural aspect so far. I will say im getting a bit of farming sim fatigue (the game is great!) So it feels like the same thing I've played many times before. I feel like I spend a lot of time waiting for nightfall or just fishing to get fish sticks, iykyk, so its gotten kind of stale. However, I do know im also still in the beginning of it so all I've experienced is the witchcraft, I know there's a lot more ahead and I do feel like the supernatural parts help make it seem like a fresh take on the genre!

This game felt like tedious work to me. And, hey, maybe farming games just aren’t my thing, but I found this game tough to play. Not much pushed me along. The dialogue was uninteresting, the story was stale and predictable. Playing felt like grinding for the sake of unlocking a new facet of the magic system, which was disappointing to me given that unlocked a spell/potion meant another thing to grind towards.

Nonetheless, the wide diversity of the characters is underscored by full-game voice acting, and that I really enjoyed.

If I wanted to do work, I would go to (irl) work. Again, that’s just me! A ton of people have this as their favorite game in the cozy genre and you might too!

This is like Stardew/Animal crossing/My time at ... games and it's right up my alley. I am enjoying it immensely. There's a few QoL things that could be addressed but for a game that works FLAWLESSLY and you can play one handed, AND it's perfect on Steam deck... I can't ask for much more, especially in an economy where we get half-***** games that get abanadoned after a few months.

Really fun, cozy farming game.
Sure, it's got your typical farming game mechanics/aspects, but this felt like such a fresh take on it.
I actually enjoyed this a lot more than Stardew Valley or some of the Story of Seasons games.
Thoroughly enjoyed the writing and the characters.

This is my second time playing through this game, once on switch and this time on PC. I've really enjoyed both times. You can go at your own pace and the characters are interesting. It's nice that there are multiple stories going on for different characters, makes it feel more lifelike. I also really enjoy the full voice acting.

I don't know how to describe what playing this game feels like, the game play loop is just grindy enough to keep you engaged without being overwhelming.
My biggest criticisms of the game is that it hints at deeper mechanics that are just not there. example the dialog around your animal familiar hints that you would be able to go into your familiars body and be able to catch bugs/mice/crabs but in reality you just level up your friendship and then have a basic interaction once a day to collect those items at random.
like im going to finish the game and with the time locks on progression you will get a solid amount of hours of gameplay.
weather you think those hours are well spent is a different question entirely.
solid 6/10 - has so much potential but didn't quite hit the mark.

Such a cute game. The perfect cozy game. It was the first game I ever played on my Steam Deck and it runs like a dream.

Here's a list of the things I enjoyed in order to (hopefully) convince you to try it out:
- Very pretty graphics
- Well written characters + multiple romanceable options
- The magic aspect adds so much to the overdone farming/ranching game
- You can adopt a cat!!
- Magical coven
- Potion making and flying on a broomstick
- I got about 90 hours of playtime which is quite a bargain for the price if you ask me

Can't wait for Wylde Society!!

I love this game so much, it's one of my favourite! The plot is engaging and the challenges are easy to manage so the game is relaxing.
At the beginning, it is hard to do everything on time, but when you manage the game tempo, it all began to work out. You can focus on different things in this game, there are so many possibilities to earn cash. The characters are cute and perfectly animated, they have their gestures and way of walking, so neatly done!

It's really fun, it's addicting. The voice acting is great, makes a lot of the game plot/relationship driven for me. Interestingly there are no "experience points" earned, though of course over time there are new opportunities, challenges, builds, characters, abilities, etc. that open up. I guess I'm just a sucker for a witch-farmer! Also Tara lives in a queer community of racially/ethnically diverse characters! Which basically never happens in video games.

As a lifelong fan of cozy games and farm sims, I would put Wylde Flowers in the top ten of all the farm sims I have ever played. The game as a whole is a perfect combination of adorable and beautiful, from the characters to the world to the special effects. The cast of NPCs has a great mix of classic archetypes and genuinely deep characters, with even the most stereotypical characters having surprising depth once you get further into their stories. This is also by far the most innocent and child friendly of all the farm sims I've played; it occasionally touches on mature topics like death, environmental degradation, and addiction, but the romance is very PG (to the extant that the game never even depicts the player character sharing a bed with their spouse) and there is no fighting system and no physical violence at any point in the main storyline. There is a lot of great intentional diversity, ranging from diverse races, gender identities, sexualities, and even religious beliefs, and the game does a great job of showing realistic queer relationships and characters.

As far as downsides go, the in game economy is lacking at times, and often requires you to make decisions that are economically not great. For example, in order to unlock all the recipes you need to sell cooked food and beverages to the local restaurants, but selling cooked food is often significantly less profitable than just selling the raw ingredients individually. The same goes for many other artisan goods. The main storyline is also completed within one in-game year (approx. 50 hours of playtime for me) which could be a pro or a con depending on your preferred playstyle.

This is easily my most favorite game of all time! Everything is just so thoughtful about this game, from the graphics to the storyline and all the cozy features included. As a person who can get dizzy with the POV camera, I love how the game automatically pans and zooms the view. On top of that, getting to know everyone in Fairhaven has been a great delight! All of their stories are heartwarming and well-written. Kudos to everyone behind Wylde Flowers!

What a fun story & "Wylde" ride! This was such a fun game! Absolutely recommend if you are normally a cozy-farming-sim game goer! You have multiple options for dating, if you wish to do so, & you CAN date each person (one after another), if you are a person like me who likes to 100% your achievements 😂. I definitely dated each person in reverse order so that I could end my run w/the character I *really* wanted to Marry. HAHA! & They still stay friends & friendly w/you so you don't feel so bad 😂😂.

Anyways, it's a wonderful game & I've put in just under 200 hours of total gameplay. You are able to continue after the story (End of Year 2) for any extra quests & recipes you may have missed throughout the year. So don't stress if you "miss" a conversation w/someone in town that would allow you to start a side quest or add a recipe to your meal list! The game will give you plenty of chances at different points!

Pros: vibrant colors, variety of characters with their own backstory, its pretty obvious which are shops and which are not. No obvious calendar so I know what season I'm in.
Cons: money is.. difficult to come by BUT 1) buy bait, 2) go fish, 3) make fish sticks and 4) sell fish sticks to the diner (aka Sophie) for a bit of coin. Should help a little.
Otherwise, stockpile everything, trust me. Yes, this is much like Stardew so the formula is familiar but so what. Yes, there is romance and yes, you can choose whom you'd like, be it a man or woman. You do get asked about someone and you get a choice of 3 names; a male, a female and a neutral name.
I'm only 7 hours in, having received this as a Christmas present so still learning.

Great story and NPC's. I love the inclusion of so many characters from different backgrounds, orientations and cultures. I especially love Damon (South African girly here!). I am also loving the gameplay and quests.

The story is front and center in this lifesim game much more than most lifesim games. And the story has some good surprises. Also most of the time you get to decide when seasons change so you don't feel rushed to somehow get everything you need for a season in before you run out of days.
