Winged Sakura: Mindy's Arc es ese híbrido indie que mira a la cara al Rol, coquetea con la Estrategia y de paso te suelta una defensa de torres con estética anime y protagonista femenina. En papel suena como “la mezcla definitiva”; en práctica, es más como una licuadora sin tapa: divertida, caótica y con probabilidades reales de salpicarte en la cara.
La propuesta gira en sobrevivir oleadas (sí, de ritmo rápido) mientras administras decisiones y progreso tipo RPG. Y como buen título 2D con inclinación a novela visual, también hay una intención narrativa… aunque a ratos sientes que el juego quiere que te importen dos cosas al mismo tiempo: optimizar y leer. Tú decides cuál gana cuando el mapa se pone difícil.
Primera impresión: tiene personalidad, va al grano y no pretende ser “para todos”. También: si vienes por algo chill, aquí el “chill” se quedó en otro servidor… probablemente vacío, como el contador de jugadores actuales.

Winged Sakura: Mindy's Arc es “Bueno” en el sentido más honesto: tiene ideas claras, mezcla géneros con intención y cuando el combate se acelera, engancha. Pero también es el típico juego que no te pide permiso: o entras a su ritmo y aceptas su dificultad, o te va a mandar de vuelta al menú con una sonrisa anime y cero remordimiento.
Lo controversial: el juego está claramente diseñado para un público específico (anime, fantasía, y sí, contenido subido de tono). Si no eres ese público, no es que esté “mal hecho”; es que no es tu fiesta. Y si eres ese público… igual te va a exigir.

小厂做出来的小游戏，数值有点崩、交互有点不好用、甚至立绘和cg都不是一个画风。
不过我还蛮喜欢玩这种小厂游戏的，经常能看到一些少见的玩法。在电子ed的情况下，换换口味还是挺不错的。
像这个游戏，就是我很想玩养成+塔防的情况下买的。明明舟游还挺火的，但pc上却根本没几个这类的游戏，也就小厂和黄油会尝试冷门玩法了。

It combines Tower Defense with RPG progression. End game has survival mode that lets you play forever.
Line Defense game, instead of Tower Defense.
No idea about the plot. Something happened that is more clear to main characters than it is to me. Plot exposition so far I played before giving up didn't exactly tell me anything. I might have stood that but I hated the fact that I need to summon spirits every few seconds making game tedious chore.
Edit: Gave another chance after reading guide. Amount of grinding compared to reward just didn't feel sufficient.
Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too much grinding required. A lot of designers somehow grossly underestimate the balance of a game. This is because they forgot what the purpose of any game is. As soon as your game is underbalanced to the point that the player has to grind so much that it's not FUN anymore, because the player can't WIN, you've failed.

Perhaps instead of [i]Mindy's Arc[/i], it should be called [i]Mindy's Farm[/i], considering how much grinding and farming the game contains. And by that, I don't mean to insult the creators; in fact, it's clear that they've put a lot of care into this game. Still, the words "grind" and "farm" have somewhat negative connotations these days, probably because people tend to have more interesting or necessary things to do than repeat relatively pointless tasks over and over again. Maybe this game would have fit better in the 90s, but in today's world, with so many games being released daily and life moving at such a fast pace, it's hard to believe that many people would enjoy this concept.
Of course, significant grinding and farming are also associated with modern games (though many of these series started in the 90s), such as [i]World of Warcraft[/i], [i]Diablo[/i], and [i]Final Fantasy[/i], to name just a few of the more famous ones. But the difference is that in many of these games, the repetitive elements are better integrated into the overall experience. Either the story is so engaging that you don't mind the grind, or the repetition is so rewarding and well-designed that it doesn't feel like a chore.
However, with [i]Winged Sakura[/i], at least for me, the motivation to continue started to drop sharply. To progress in the story, you need to spend a lot of time in the early levels, collecting coins and leveling up your characters to be strong enough for the higher levels. It might sound harmless—[i]"What's so bad about it?"[/i]—but in practice, it becomes agonizing to repeat the same level 50 times. And every time, it's exactly the same as the last run. The same enemies in the same order. What could be more annoying and boring than that? After completing the same level dozens of times, it becomes not just tedious but also emotionally draining, reducing any sense of achievement. Once you're strong enough to destroy enemies as quickly as they appear, something even more frustrating comes apparent: during the attacks, the enemies stop spawning (each wave has a fixed number of enemies), but you can't manually end the wave to move on to the next one. Instead, you have to stare at an empty battlefield until the timer reaches zero. This means you'll often find yourself sitting idle for 20 seconds or more. And needless to say, the longer you play, the more your overall playtime (and probably your patience) will suffer because of this.
To be honest, the story doesn't help to make the grind more tolerable either; it has a bit of a cheesy feel to it. While there are some surprising twists and plot developments, the overall tone and execution didn't quite resonate with me. It's possible that those who enjoy this kind of light fantasy narrative might get more out of it, but for me, it wasn't overly captivating. The sound design is also questionable—it resembles the type of music you'd hear in a shopping mall. This kind of generic background music doesn't work for everybody as it may start to feel goofy rather fast.
Moreover, the game has a lot of text and dialogue, but the proofreading is lacking. There are frequent errors, whether it's words being in the wrong order, missing letters, or simple grammatical mistakes. Given how much dialogue is featured in the game, more attention to proofreading would have helped ensure the experience feels polished and professional. It was also frustrating that some dialogues would pop up in the middle of the battlefield. In other words, while you're trying to defend your tower and fend off enemies, suddenly, conversation bubbles between the two main characters appear at the top of the screen. Who has the capacity or desire to read them in such a hectic situation?
Now, if I were to point out something positive, it's that the visuals are absolutely fine, and from a technical standpoint, the game functions well. Additionally, the mechanics of tower defense itself are solid; it's just everything surrounding it that leaves a lot to be desired.
To add to the overall strangeness, while there are quite a few playable characters, the game can basically be completed with just [b]Evil Bunny[/b] and [b]Fury[/b]. [b]Magicat[/b], who deals solid damage from a distance, can also be a great support character. [b]So here's a tip for potential new players: focus on leveling up these three characters, and that should be enough[/b]. The rest of the roster is practically unnecessary.
In conclusion, it seems to me that the creators have gone a bit overboard with the farming and neglected many other important elements. As a result, it's hard to recommend the game to anyone if playing it feels more like hard work without a paycheck than a rewarding or enjoyable experience.

横版点击塔防游戏。LSP可能要会失望，二次元视觉小说的剧情对话，算是一本正经的游戏。一张图图反反复复用好几关。因为之前也有玩过该厂商另一款迷宫逃脱类的二次元游戏。都是无汉化偏冷门的独立游戏。

I wonder why they felt the need to add this grindy content to a defense game.
Nonsensical story really brings this game down. I don't know if this game is a sequel or something, but everything felt very random. The gameplay itself was fun, but the writing was so irritating I stopped playing.
Edit: I played more, and need to revise my opinion on the gameplay. It's grindy as all hell.
Achievements: Very challenging. Requires beating every level in insane mode-- meaning that strategic pause is disabled and enemies scale to above the player's level.
Full disclosure: I have not played the entirety of this game. I did not beat the story mode, I have not seen all that the game has to offer. Regardless, I feel that I gave the game a fair chance and I don't have any desire to return to it.
Winged Sakura: Mindy's Arc is a fast-paced tower defense game. Unlike most other tower defense games, the towers here time out after a few seconds and must be constantly replaced. The layout reminded me of Plants vs. Zombies and I was initially excited to have found a similar game that did not appear to be a blatant knockoff. To the game's credit, the gameplay is significantly different to Plants vs. Zombies and there is clearly an attempt being made at implementing new and unique mechanics.
The game's RPG elements were designed in a way that make sense for a tower defense: stats can increase a towers rate of attack, decrease its cooldown, etc. Enemies have elemental affinities/weaknesses that correspond to the attacks of towers. The player has numerous skills at their disposal to help turn the tide of battle. Towers have unique strengths and weaknesses, each serving unique functions. The character art looks nice.
I am not saying that the game has nothing going for it. It's not broken. It's not unplayable. It seems to have a lot of content at a reasonable price. It's just not fun-- at least for me.
My problems with the game have nothing to do with the difficulty. Granted I only played the first chapter, but the game was actually pretty easy as long as I used the strategic pause every time a cooldown was ready. Unfortunately, this meant the game had to be paused every ~3 seconds because some towers have incredibly short cooldowns with similarly short lifespans. The constant recycling of towers on the field made the game feel so much more repetitive than it needed to be. Every level consists of several waves of enemies and each wave necessitates the placement of every single tower multiple times over. Each of these individual towers may need their targets modified in the strategic pause so as not to accidentally heal an enemy with an elemental affinity-- thus further compounding my issue with the constant pausing.
There are many quality of life problems that I have with this game. Firstly, the menus are unclear. The text on different parts of the menu have no borders to help distinguish themselves from one another. Items in the inventory do not stack, making it feel very cluttered. The game does not stop the player from placing a tower too close to an enemy, instantly destroying the tower without resetting the cooldown. Stats sometimes only show icons with no tool tip explaining what it actually represents. There seems to be no way to despawn a tower even though it's very easy to accidentally spawn a ~20 second tower that ends up healing the enemy. Some levels reward the player with important recipes or items in the store, but earning them is not a guarantee and it can take multiple attempts of ~15+ minute levels to obtain them. If the player has a full inventory, the end of level rewards can't be obtained.
In terms of the visual novel portion of the game, it is not clear enough which character is speaking (making it easy to mix up Nino with Nina and Mindy with Minzy). The story itself was confusing to me, though that could easily be due to the fact that I only played through the first chapter. Dialogue was a bit rough in places, but it was still fairly comprehensible.
Ultimately, this game was more stressful than fun for me. I didn't enjoy the micromanagement necessary to maintain a battlefield with timed towers, and I didn't feel like the rest of the game was polished enough to compensate for that. I will acknowledge that Winged Sakura: Mindy's Arc has its merits, so I recommend that you try out the demo to see it for yourself.
Начало нашей нелёгкой компании вышло довольно стандартным, молодая девушка Минди приходит в себя в незнакомом запертом особняке да ещё вдобавок и с амнезией в придачу. Местные обитатели быстро вводят в курс дела и рассказывают главной героине, что она наделена способностью Сакуры, позволяющей вызывать духов для борьбы с потусторонними захватчиками. Выбора нет и для восстановления памяти и появления возможности выбраться из заточения приходится биться. По механике перед нами смесь Plants vs. Zombies с элементами РПГ и аниме вставками между сражениями. Мы также выставляем в 5 линий наших бойцов и пытаемся сдержать бесконечные волны, у каждого подопечного и врага есть устойчивость и слабость перед разными типами атак. Вообще может получиться такая ситуация, что неверный выбор восстановит здоровье у разбитого до этого отряда. Поэтому приходится пользоваться стратегический паузой и тщательно выбирать кого поставить напротив. Всего есть 16 духов и соответственно такое же количество вражин, плюс 4 босса. Главные злодеи вышли довольно заурядными, даже финальная тян, у них какие то невзрачные модельки, тонна здоровья и куча имбовых умений, поэтому сражаться с ними довольно долго и нудно. Кстати по мере прохождения Минди и её виварий постепенно развиваются, оружие крафтится и апгрейдится, а героиня способна изучить 16 разных навыков и заклинаний, ближе к концу Минди научится превращаться в стервозную форму, что резко увеличивает скорость атаки у питомцев. На прохождении уходит около 8 часов и старт выдаётся очень хардкорным, трудно освоиться с темпом, но постепенно с развитием процесс быстро оказуаливается и практически все ачивки можно выбить ещё часа за 4.
Winged Sakura: Mindy's Arc использует два движка и если к графическому особых претензий нет, картинки выглядят средненько, то с игровым есть явные проблемы. Батальные арены очень астетичны и абсолютно статичны, анимации и фигурки выглядят плохо, спецэффекты на уровне 90-х если не хуже. Аналогичные претензии можно отнести и к звучанию игры. Две основные мелодии быстро приедаются, а сами сэмплы явно скачены из бесплатных библиотек. При прохождении пришлось столкнуться с неприятным багом, дважды после трудной победы на боссом игра крашилась. К минусам отнесу не самый удобный интерфейс, при покупке предметов для апгрейда приходится их приобретать по одному, а расширение магазина настолько не очевидно, что об этой фишке я узнал лишь ближе к финалу.
Winged Sakura: Mindy's Arc хоть и не лишён определённого очарования, но вполне проходной проект. Понравиться игра может только когда вы станете в ней конкурентоспособным, примерно через 6 часов геймплея, если вас устроит подобный расклад то попробуйте. Всем остальным не рекомендую. 6.5 из 10

It annoys me that I don't like this game. There's absolutely nothing wrong with the game, but the fact that I don't like it makes me want to find something to critique. But it's OK to just not like a game, even if everything in the game works fine as it does here.
Why don't I like it? I love Plants vs. Zombies, Trolls vs. Vikings, and every other lane defense game I've played. So I [i]should[/i] like Winged Sakura: Mindy's Arc...but I don't. Graphics, sound, sprite design, color palette, attack patterns, variety of units...I like all of this. The only thing that I don't like in this game is that your units time out: each unit you place has a short duration, and they disappear after a few seconds, [u]without getting defeated[/u]. Obviously, this changes the gameplay in a major way from any other lane defense game: you can't set up a defense of a lane and rely that the defense will continue to deal consistent damage over time. Instead, you have to budget to put smaller defenses in play, because you will be buying them over and over and over again. I just wasn't able to enjoy that change to the basic lane defense gameplay. That's on me. You may like the game, and there's lots of reasons why you would.
I [u]wish[/u] I did. I keep coming back, trying the game again and again. It's like trying a food that you just don't enjoy but others love, like Red Velvet Cake: you periodically come back to it, sure that you're missing out on something great because everyone else loves it, only to find that, nope, your tastes still haven't changed.
I love planning a defense and then executing that plan in lane defense games. I love arcade games. But this blending of the two - having to form a plan that involves frequently, frantically replacing your defenses because they simply vanish - just isn't to my taste. I don't know why, and I hate that. It makes me feel old, unable to enjoy something new and different.
EDIT: I have since played a bunch more of this game, and my attitude toward it has mellowed a little. Built into the assumptions of the game is that you will be replaying each level multiple times, grinding in order to earn the currency to upgrade your defenses. Knowing that there is a way to get to complete levels makes me feel a bit better, but at the same time, I don't like being forced to play the same levels multiple times.

A fun turn-based strategy game for 5 hours before the typical JRPG grind (the bad kind) makes you resent getting emotionally invested in the cute story (which needs at least a bit of content in future games).

지정된 웨이브 갯수만큼을 버티는 타워디펜스 게임입니다.
게임의 비주얼 자체는 좋은 편이고 게임의 분량 자체도 48개의 스테이지에
서바이벌 모드까지 포함하면 어느 정도 갖춰졌다고 볼 수 있겠습니다.
다만 위 2가지 부분을 제외하고는 나머지는 썩 좋다고 보기 어렵네요.
스토리는 없으면 심심하니 대충 넣어놓은 수준이고, 인터페이스는 불편하고
게임의 특징이라 소개하는 장비, 제작 등의 요소는 겉으로 보기엔 괜찮아 보이지만
실상은 플레이 타임을 늘려놓을려고 아이템 루팅 노가다가 진짜 최악인 수준이고
거기에 레벨업 속도가 느린건 아닌데 스킬 포인트를 적게 줘서
플레이어가 캐릭터의 성장 속도가 느리다고 느끼게끔 만들었습니다.
맵은 고정인데, 유닛이 생각보다 다양하지 않고 난이도 조정도 단순하게 하다보니
유닛 간 밸런스는 엉망이라 조합의 다양성도 없고
맵 클리어 하는 재미가 초반에만 있지 나중가면 맵 구조는 뻔하고
들어가는 시간에 비해 뭔가 보상이 없는 상황 (아이템은 이도저도 아니고 그렇다고
내 캐릭터 스킬이 많이 찍혀 있는 거도 아닌) 이 되어 게임의 재미가 급격하게 감소합니다.
거기다가 게임의 특정모드에서는 RTS 게임 버금가는 피지컬까지 요구해서
게임을 한 번 앉은 자리에서 장시간 하기 힘들게 합니다.
저 같은 경우 게임을 어지간해서 엔딩을 보기 때문에 엔딩을 보는데 시간이 많이 투자됐고
그 시간이 아까워서 도전과제 완료도 해보려고 했으나
도중에 버그로 도전과제 하나가 달성이 안된다는 걸 알고 더이상 플레이 하는 걸 관뒀습니다.
가끔 이런 플레이 타임 질질 끌기 하는 인디 게임들을 보면
스팀이 플레이 타임에 따른 무슨 혜택을 주는건가 하는 생각이 들기도 합니다.
스팀에 이름난 명작이거나 공짜인 타워디펜스 게임이 엄청 많은데
굳이 이 게임을 추천하고 싶지는 않네요.
A horizontal row tower defense where you summon temporary defenders (instead of permanent towers). The story is okay I guess for an anime plot. It's more like an introduction to the world and characters because there's a lot left unresolved (though to be fair, there's a sequel). And sometimes characters prioritize certain things or have fun at others' expense (which based on your tolerances/personality can be received well or poorly).
Gameplay:[list]
[*] Each level contains waves of enemies that come in on a timer. You can send the next wave in early but get no reward (other than having your current summons be able to fight multiple waves for energy & time efficiency). When you win the battle you gain XP and up to 6 items/item components for crafting/selling.
[*] You have two main resources: Spiritual Energy (purple) and Energy (blue). S. Energy is used to summon temporary spirit defenders. Energy is used to cast spells. You gain both passively but you also gain S. Energy by defeating attackers.
[*] Spirits have cooldowns (so you have to wait between summons) and staying power (how long they stay on the field before disappearing). The majority of spirits only attack their current row. Spirits also attack with a element (which make them better/worse against various enemies) and may have other properties (some spirits can pierce through shield-wielding enemies).
[*] You summon spirits in response to the wave of enemies. For example, you'd use anti-shield against advancing shield enemies and then a regular DPS summon to take out the unshielded enemies behind. Or you'd use your own shield summon to stall and group up a bunch of fast-moving enemies and then use an AoE summon to take them out. There is tactical pause on most difficulties but in Insane you have to rely on mouse dexterity to summon things quickly enough.
[*] Spells are pretty simple. You have 4 spell slots and choose between damaging spells, energy conversion spells (between S. Energy and Energy), and utility spells (freeze enemies, pause summon timer, reset spell cooldowns).
[*] Late in the game you get access to freely toggle transformation which drains S. Energy (and dispels the transformation when too low) but also massively boosts your spirits' power.
[*] As you get XP both you and your spirits level up. Your spirits get stat boosts while you get a skill point every two levels. The skill tree unlocks spells and eventually strong passives (like improved transformation and gain energy per kill).
[*] Spirits have two equipment slots for a weapon and a trinket. Equipment give stat boosts but they come in various tiers (White/Green/Yellow/Blue/Purple/Orange). You use the crafting system to upgrade tiers and also to boost items to +99. However, the + modifier isn't kept when you upgrade tiers (so don't bother spending too much unless you need to get stronger immediately).
[*] There's so much grinding. You have to grind levels for crafting recipes & shop item availability. And then it's really expensive to craft and upgrade things. And you want to delay grinding as much as possible because later levels give you so much more value than earlier levels.

Worth a look if you're interested in row tower defense with a lot of grinding and upgrading possible and can tolerate the anime story & aesthetic.

[*] I'm glad they let you disable leaderboards. I got tired of grinding and just did a money cheat.
[*] I appreciate that they let you rebind all of the keys and that there are a good amount of options to customize.
[*] The UI buttons are pretty big (which makes it feel like it would play well on a touchscreen device).
[*] I wish the item list didn't autoscroll when selling (because it can make you sell something you didn't mean to). At least there's a buyback option.
[*] Also when selling, I wish the description box was smaller/placed elsewhere so that it didn't cover the next item to be sold.
[*] I wish inventory was compacted (5 silver rings have a single box instead of 5 individual boxes) and with smaller boxes (so you see more items at once).
[*] It's really annoying that crafting things to the next tier (like making a yellow weapon from two greens) makes the item lose the upgrade modifier. It should at least take the average of the modifiers. It just forces you to grind even more.
[*] Similarly, selling an upgraded weapon should give you more money back. For example, a +0 Crossbow sells for the same as a +99 Crossbow (despite all of the money you put into it).
[*] I wish that you were guaranteed (or at least had a much higher chance for) a Data Fragment Reward on a no leak clear to cut some of the grinding.
[*] I wish that when you sent a wave early it would give you the cooldowns, Energy, and S. Energy that you would've gotten normally by waiting it out.
[*] I appreciate there is a slower enemies option (that seems to have no penalty) which cuts some grinding because you can more easily make story progress (which gives you access to levels with more XP/more coins/better equipment rewards).
[*] There is one main room and 3 side rooms but two of the side rooms do absolutely nothing. It would've been nice if there was some point to the rooms but it would also be annoying if they further split up the features (The main room lets you do levels and change options while one side room lets you save, shop, and set skills/spirits). To be honest, it would be easier to just have access to all features in the main room). Maybe one of the rooms should have went to the level select while the other went to survival mode?

This has to be the most boring tower defense game I've played. There is barely any room for strategy, you just have to spam the same units over and over again to have a chance of winning.
You may think that the story might be interesting at the very least, but it's not. The characters are all really boring and one-dimensional anime tropes, the story is equally as forgettable. I did not feel engaged at all with what was happening, and saw the cutscenes as more of an obstacle than a reward for progression.
This game such a bad example of a tower defence that even the Neopets game biscuit brigade is better.
Meh. Interesting story, but there is too much clicking involved. It hurts my hands to play clicky games for too long, and this is definitely one of them.
It would help some if I could use the space bar to skip dialog lines instead of using the mouse. The gameplay still requires lots of clicking, though; it's not for me, but if the clickiness doesn't bother you, it looks like a well designed game with a colorful UI and good story-line (so far).

Great game. I wish there were more tower defense games on steam. I remember years and years ago on the PSN there was a game called Crystal Defenders, sort of similar, I've been looking for a similar game for years now, it was a great way to pass the time.
I'd recommend this.

- the game: a tower defense game with kinetic novel/ fantasy/ comedy elements deloped and published by WINGED SAKURA GAMES in 2014, one of few games with anime content four years ago. Estimated playtime: 15 hrs.
- story: the game main focus is in strategy/ tower defense, so the story part is very short. Tells about Mindy (MC), a girl that was teleported to an unknown place, and the worst, she loses her memory. In this place, she will recover her memory and learn about herself. Once you finally finish the game, will find that the story continues with the famous "to be continued...".
- gameplay: there are 4 difficulties available if you are just playing for the story or is new to tower defense, choose easy. But if you like challenges or is an achievement hunter, choose harder. You can finish the game in easy mode, however, every difficulty will count your progress to unlock a certain achievement. If you choose insane, will also clear the easier difficulties, so will not be necessary to play them again. There are 4 stages, 12 phases each one, every phase may have 5 waves (minimum) until 18 waves(maximum), and in the twelfth phase will be a 1 wave only boss battle. In the story mode, has 12 unlockable spirits, each one with specificity, so choose the best for your strategy. And the enemy always will have the upper hand (like a new spirit), only beating then you can unlock a new spirit. Access the store to buy/ sell/ craft/ upgrade items and equip the best gear as possible in your team.
Once you clear the game, will unlocks survival mode, where you can challenge yourself, here you can unlock more 4 spirits (former bosses, Cecilia included). You can get a rest after 15 waves, at every 30 waves will be the boss battle, beat them to unlock and add to your team. Is a survival mode, if you lose/ choose to leave, will needs to start from level 1.
Sadly, a backlog isnt available, so if you want to redo a scene, will need load and replay the stage.
- artwork: cute. my only complaint is the facial structure is very similar in some characters.
- soundtrack: not bad.
- va: unfortunately, not present.
- performance: no problems so far.
Conclusion: Winged Sakura: Mindy's Arc is a nice game recommended for those that like tower defense games and challenges.

Not bad. But the difficulty of the game is very difficult!
Similar gameplay layout as Plants vs. Zombies, without the varitey of modes and overall charm but rather with heavy challenge and crafting and loot instead. Very polished with good presentation. Endless replayability should you want it. Simple in scope, feels more like a mini game than full game, however you can sink some time in it. Perhaps the sequels will have more game modes and background environments. Fair value under ten dollars, excellent value under five.

You have to farm a lot of items in the last level every stage.
It is likely as the same as the game Plants.Vs.Zombie but differently the towers(which is call spirits in this game) have time limite.
The spirits get exp easy in the lower levels but that almost doing nothing.
You should pass though levels many many times to earn money so that you can upgrade your weapons.
Totally I did that whole things 22 hours to reach the end.
Then the achivements collecting began.
I give it yes/thumb up but don't think you should buy it and play it.

This game feels and plays like any Japanese game. UI reminds me Final Fantasy. There is a story in anime visual novel style and etc. So, for me, European player, It was hard to understand the game. Especially because of annoying and forced tutorial and... extremely hard difficulty. I lost third level 3 times before I beat it.
After you gather you attention the game becomes good. It bring new mechanic to the TD genre. All battles pass on the same map. There 5 long rows. Reminds Plant of Zombies.... but.. All your towers have limited lifetime. So you need to constantly summon new towers. For example, there is a tower which last for 4 seconds and has 1,5 cooldown.
So this is more action game, then strategy game. Yeah, you can set the game on pause, but anyway the game requires a lot of micromanegment.
You start with 1 tower and unlocks new tower during the story. I unlocked 4 towers in 4 hours of the gameplay. You also get some stuff after the missions. You can sell it to but items with permanent effect for your towers. Also, you can upgrade these items.
And there is a skill system with a few option.
In overall, the game offers a lot of interesting hours. But be ready to suffer :D

It's more action game then strategy game. Yeah, you need to think where to place towers, but mostly you need to place them fast, very fast. Towers has short life, so basically, you just put towers again and again until the level finishes.
The game is very hard. I lost third level 3 times before I completed it. So... if you like to a lot of actions in the short period of the time - you might like the game. If you prefer chilly and relaxing gameplay - don't take it.
9/10, I would give 10/10 if there are nude scenes

Winged Sakura: Mindy's Arc is a lane-based tower defense game, much like Plants vs. Zombies. For those unfamiliar, you summon units, they automaticlly attack approaching enemies, and you keep doing this until enemies run out or enough of them reach your base. The main difference between this and PvZ is the fact that your units have a (very) limited time frame to exist, and so you must constantly resummon units to replace those you've lost.
The story of Winged Sakura revolves around a young girl by the name of Mindy Akumori of Hysteria (interesting... name for a place) who suddenly falls into a hole in the ground with a friend. There, she is inexplicably subjected to monster assaults trying to attack the building she fell in. Mindy appears to have already formed a mysterious contract enabling her to summon monsters of her own to combat the threats, and the rest of the story is about uncovering why this is going on.
While the actual plot is fine, the story presentation needs work. It is difficult to tell who is speaking, and when new characters were introduced I neither knew nor cared who they were. From beginning to end of the game, many story segments go like this: "Entrance such and such is under attack!" and then you get thrown into a half-hour battle. On top of that, there's weird jargon that is thrown at you without explanation. It is as though the player is expected to know what a "Sakura" means in this game, or what a Sakura Contractor does. There's clearly a lot of backstory going on, but it's never properly explored.
Furthermore, conversations frequently occur during combat. These are handled poorly because of how spaced apart and distracting the conversations are. For example, one character might say "So you think that person is behind all this?". And then a minute later after dozens of combat decisions, another character replies with "Yes" and by then I've forgotten what the previous statement was. Add to this some Engrish, inconsistent tenses, a lot of dialogue spent on being cryptic, unfunny jokes, and I was left feeling very underwhelmed by the game's story. All it needs is a few tweaks and I would regard it as fine.
The artwork in the game is mostly good. It's generally polished, and I love the artwork on some of the icons. There's some inconsistency in art style, which I assume is from different artist renditions, but you can definitely tell who is who. This might be a strange nitpick, but the clothing in the game threw me off. From the opening sequence, it seemed like the game takes place in a modern era, complete with computers and lights. Shortly after, you encounter numerous people wearing fancy aristocratic clothing who belong in a fantasy setting, with talk of feudal kingdoms, and later, dimensional doorways. Thus I don't have a firm grasp on the kind of world we're dealing with here. It's as if a bunch of assets were created first, and then given context later, which resulted in a setting that feels all over the place.
The music is serviceable, but there is an emphasis on synth strings playing the melodies which got more than a bit grating on my ears. Be prepared to listen to the same combat music over and over. It's not until much later that you acquire an ability which refreshingly changes the combat tune.
The interface is on the wonky side. You must change locations to save your game or to buy items, which makes no sense. Icons, as much as I like how they are drawn, are not intuitive. For example, when looking at a spirit's stats, the only way I know what each icon represents is by finding an item with that stat and equipping it. To be fair, you can make reasonable guesses as to what they represent. Still, it would have been nice to see a pop-up or something when hovering over an icon or right click on it to see what it represents. Upgrading items is also strange, as you can only upgrade an item you currently have equipped, and it's not clear which spirit has what equipped (though you can make reasonable guesses here again, as you can just look at the weapon they have and figure out their accessory). I will say that the tutorials that exist are pretty good, as it does an excellent job explaining the basics.
The gameplay of Winged Sakura is what hurts me the most. The single most unfun thing to me is the fact that your summons disappear, usually in very short time. This is basically micromangement to the extreme. If you've played PvZ, imagine having to resummon the pea shooter every 3 seconds. Combine this with waves that go into the teens at thirty seconds each, and you could end up summoning the same thing up to 200 times in one battle. On top of that, it's likely you'll need to redo a few stages to either gain levels or items for gear upgrades. While it's nice that you can see the reward list for doing a stage, the drop rate is somewhat awful since you are bound to get numerous useless items upon completion. With all the strategic pauses, it's common to have battles stretch out for 20 minutes or longer, and if you die before the end, you have nothing to show for it. It's not that this is overly difficult, it's just that I don't find it fun.
I give Winged Sakura: Mindy's Arc a D... it's just not my game. At first glance I thought I would enjoy it. I liked some art, the characters seemed okay, and I like tower defense games in general. Unfortunately many aspects just seemed... weird, uninteresting, or stressful. The story should have been handled better, and gameplay is far more stressful than it is fun. The game does pick up a bit once you start getting the late game summons, and boss battles on the whole are appropriately challenging. Survival mode is kind of fun too, but these are unlocked so late in the game that it's almost not worth it. Many people seem to enjoy the game though, so I suggest reading other reviews as well. List of other minor annoyances:
- Coins are not sold automatically. They just serve to take up inventory space.
- When your inventory gets full, you cannot discard/sell while opening the sakura petals, thus leaving the rest to waste.
- Items won after battle includes a lot of junk, further adding to the grind
- Story segments can only be viewed once, and combat dialogue is gone once you complete it.
- Most story segments end with "Entrance X is under attack!"
- One flashback scene had all the present day people standing there while text described the flashback.
- Level ups don't tell you what increased. It's up to the player to write it down to see if anything improved.
- Weird backtracking through menus. Need to go to other submenus to be able to save. No autosave.
- No save prompt after each battle.
- For some reason you can visit several locations with nothing there. What's the point?
- The majority of enemies in the game merely charge forward, though one teleports. Only bosses fight back.
- Characters often portrayed as frustrated as much as they are clueless
- Chapter 2 battles start off unimportant - they are merely "training", then returns to the usual entrance under attack.
Great game. I wish there were more tower defense games on steam. I remember years and years ago on the PSN there was a game called Crystal Defenders, sort of similar, I've been looking for a similar game for years now, it was a great way to pass the time.
I'd recommend this.

Works in Linux, cool old school JRPG
Updated 08/08/2018: Game is fixed and now workes in Linux.
Game is good, it´s difficult to learn but once you get the hang of it it becomes much easier, until you move up to another difficulty and get destroyed again, the difficulty curve is sometimes insane and takes a lot of "training" to move on but i really liked that this game is a challenge even on easy.
Only con i really have is the end game farming, getting to level 99 takes way too much, otherwise no complains about this great game.
Overall Game : 7.5/10. The game is really fun! The (Turrent) Summon have a cooldown which encourages you to interact with the game more, Unlike other typical Tower Defence type of games where you can just make the perfect 'set-up'. The storyline isn't interesting. I enjoy this game and recommend picking this game up if you like both Tower Defence games and Anime. The game is pretty expensive, I bought it on sale and is well worth the money!

there are 2 only downsides of this game
1. The UI is very very simple in all aspects (info, sfx, graphics, animation)
2. It's taking too much time and too much concentration, and if you die you'll have to repeat the whole level (it can take more than 1 hour for hard difficulty in later levels)
Other than those it's all good, gameplay is quite unique, nice story

Winged Sakura: Mindy's Arc is one of those games where I really wish there were three options for reviews: Positive, Negative, and Wait for a Sale. It’s a lane defense game where you have to collect recipes and parts to equip spirits to take on wave after wave in nearly 50 levels (plus endless mode). In order to get the gear you need, you need to either find it after winning a level, at which point it is usually underpowered. Or you need to find a Data Fragment, in which case you can buy it in the store. Or you need to find the recipe and hope you have or can buy the right parts. The setup is good, but the execution is weak. The main problem is the grind. There are items where you need to beat a 10 minute level in order to have at best a 25% chance of finding the item you need. I had a stretch of bad luck and it took more than four hours to finally get the recipe I needed, only to realize I didn’t have any of the parts to craft it. I had to farm for another hour to get the Data Fragments to buy the parts in the store.
If you don’t mind the grind, then it is worth picking up, but that is not an enthusiastic recommendation.
Pretty interesting approach to tower defense.
For me there is only one thing which reduce my overall positive experience with this game. Maybe two but the second one was kind of expected so I dont mind that much.
1) the need to wait 10s before you can skip to another wave. You waste incredible amount of time later when you want to farm some items, mostly recipes, I personally dont see any reason why it is made this way. If you need time to finish the wave when you are slowly progressing then you still have that 29s before the next one but when you are strong enough and you only need to farm then it slows you down a lot when you can skip at 19s and you start at 29s.
2) lotsof grinding can be a problem for some people.

If you played [i]Sakura Knights,[/i] the graphics will greatly remind you of that game... minus the H-scenes.
After completing the demo, which include 2 lvls of tutorial and 3 actual story lvls, I realized how hooked i got and decided to get the full release, which has reset my Played Time. The music is lovely and the style reminded me of the Naruto Storm games.
As you progress, you lvl up and gain access to a skill tree from which you can strategize your play style, upgrade and equip weapons and accessories to your monsters. A must to do because the levels get hard... fast! And that's only from playing on Normal.
Story wise it's the typical, lost memories, transported to a new world anime teen concept, but you can skip all that just by pressing Esc if you want so, no drag down for forcing you to read all that.
Get it, if you like strategy, good ambiance and visuals.
I like it! Has some strategy to it and is really fast paced.

What I was expecting: A strategic game where one has to think about unit placement.
What I found: A twitch, short-cooldown spamming game that is like the hellish version of being stuck in the worst World of Warcraft raid ever. Count, spam, count, spam, spam, count, spam...
I don't know, I'd have rather they'd dialled down the twitching and given me more thinking.
Oh yeah, and if you're making a game, instead of delivering the actions of the story by writing "Character does this", try adding an animation or two. Jesus.

Oh my goodness. This game is extremely difficult. Have you played Plants VS Zombies before? Now imagine playing a game similiar to Plants VS Zombies except it's A LOT more difficult. If you make one tiny mistake, you will lose the round. If you have a golf ball sized brain or muscle spasms, do NOT play this game.
In Winged Sakura: Mindy's Arc, you read through brief dialog segments, interact with a shop/menu system, and experience a Plants-Vs.-Zombies-like combat system. I'm often a sucker for tower defense sorts of games and persistence progress such as level-ups and relevant unlockables, so I gravitated toward this purchase and gave it a fair go.
[h1]Story[/h1]
Before I talk about anything else, I have to say that the story-telling is a bit clumsily handled, with plot-twists being too strongly hinted at and a small cast of characters in which two pairs of characters have the same names (Mindy and Minzy, and Nina and Nino), each of whom are on-screen at the same time with their dialog only written (no audio), without speech bubbles or text position changes, making it confusing at first as to who is saying what, and which character is which. There seemed to be a few decent bits of story writing here and there, but it just felt mishandled. That said, I don't really hold it against the game. I didn't come to this game or even this genre for plot at all, so although I didn't think the parts of the story I experienced were very good, I don't mind in the slightest.
[h1]Brief Positives[/h1]
Now, that said, I found numerous qualities I liked about the game; particularly its visuals and its music/sound. As far as 2D games go, the art style was enjoyable to the eye, and the songs, though few, were quite good and didn't get old for me. Also, the leveling system for both your spirits you summon as well as your playable character's skill tree were enjoyable during the more than a dozen hours I sunk into the game. The gameplay itself is even enjoyable. I was concerned that I wouldn't like how spirits you summon disappear mere seconds later, but it kept the game rather intense, and the ability to pause and quickly place more spirits in a hurry to stop attackers was well-done. Win the battle, and you get experience and item rewards. Therein, however, was the core issue I had with the game.
[h1]Grinding, Grinding Ad Nauseum[/h1]
With many JRPGs, the deciding factor on whether or not the game is actually fun for me to play comes down to this question: "is the grinding fun and does it feel really rewarding?" With Winged Sakura: Mindy's Arc, the overall answer was "no." The leveling grind was not a problem for me; rather, it was the item grind that caused the game to stop being enjoyable for me. Weapons and accessories are obtained either as random drops, or you can buy or craft them, provided you obtained the schematic to add it to the shop menu. Of course, those schematics are also random drops out of 17-20 or so other items that infinitely replenish, adding back to the pool of items I don't want to get. You get 4-5 items per battle playing on the reasonable early game difficulties (I played on Normal; beat a few on Hard), and those battles can take about 10 minutes or so, each.
This might not sound like a problem. Let me clarify it a bit. Weapons are colored in terms of quality, like in Borderlands or Diablo. If I had a white bow, I would need a green bow purchase schematic to buy a green bow, or I would need a green bow crafting schematic and parts to combine with the white bow to make a green bow. If I just have bad luck, I can be incapable of ever getting a green bow. The various weapons of the game are all this way; same with accessories. If I get a blue bow crafting schematic sometime, then I'll need a green bow to craft it, and if I was never able to get the green bow, then I'm screwed on ever getting a better weapon for that spirit until I luck I spent [b]7 hours[/b] just farming to get 2-3 early-game schematics this morning, and [u]did not[/u] end up getting them.
7 hours, in an area where the XP payout isn't good, and playing the same couple of levels repeatedly got really old. It's not like I was hunting for some late-game uber-rare show-off loot. This was early-game stuff, and this should not take this long to obtain. At least one guaranteed schematic as loot from each round would mean only having to play some of the same levels only 7 or 8 times in a row. That sounds a bit overkill already, but as it is, it took me 7 hours this morning trying to get 2-3 particular item schematics and not succeeding. If I had gotten the schematics, then I'd need to craft those items, and then upgrade them up to ten times using more and more and more parts obtained from hours of grinding these battles.
[h1]Conclusion[/h1]
I initially enjoyed Winged Sakura: Mindy's Arc, but lost all enthusiasm for it after realizing the deliberate amount of excessive grinding the developer elected to put into the game. As I mentioned earlier, when I'm grinding in a game, I want to feel that my time spent has been rewarded, and 7 hours invested without the low-end schematics I set out for is simply unacceptable. It is very disappointing as I would liked to have followed the odd, albeit clumsy story to its conclusion, and seen the later levels and spirits of the game.
Update after another 14 hours: The grind is truly abysmal, and the story is handled like the worst visual novel imaginable, with actions being stated as poorly-written narration. Moreover, several characters have names that are identical with a one-letter difference, further muddying things, and an off-screen character has been introduced to clutter up the story even though it isn't terribly complex. Story and characters are often the biggest appeal to me in games, hence why I adore the Danganronpa series. However, with WInged Sakura: Mindy's Arc, I found myself literally scowling as I read through the story. For me, this game is just dreadful from a story, character, and gameplay perspective...which is essentially all I care about when I'm gaming. And it't not like this is Undertale, so there's no epic soundtrack to give me some singular thing to praise the game for. I cannot recommend this game, and would encourage you to try just about any other game you're interested in, rather than getting this one.
26時間でクリア。最初は、TD系のタワー部分に時間消滅があって、簡単なりに慌てるため楽しいと思えます。ハードでやったところ、レベル上げの恩恵を感じないため（仕様）挫折し、ノーマルに変更。ノーマルでも勝てなくなり、レベル上げより先に進めたほうが成長が早いのでイージーに変更。あと数面で全クリってとこでイージーでも行き詰まり、レベル上げはもうやりたくなく、スローモードというハンデまで駆使した上の結果です。
プレイ時間３時間あたりで、敵に合わせて必ずこの味方を置かないと、という感じになって、一方で左手の指４本を同じ場所に置きっぱなしにできない操作性でやりにくくなります。さらに、1.5秒ごとに３つ味方を置かないと間に合わなくなり、とてもできないので1.5秒ごとに一時停止が必要になるのでつまらなくなります。プレイ時間１０時間あたりの中盤で、超火力モードのようなものが加わり、多少テンポが良くなるものの今度は雑な感じになります。総wave数は増え続け、１回のプレイが20分前後まで長くなり、眠くなります。
日本語対応していないのを忘れてゲームを買いましたが、個人的にこれが良かった。ストーリーはずっと同じ場所で、立絵の会話で進みます。学校で習うような英語ではないので意味が分からないことばかりでしたが、文法自体はおそらく高校生レベル。長文がないので辞書サイトで英単語の意味を調べればすぐわかります。大学生くらいのコスプレ風の男女がアニメにでてきそうな会話を繰り返します。オンラインゲームで外人さんがチャットで使ってるような単語も結構出てきた気がします。口語が多く、訳すのが楽しくて最後まで進めてしまった。

Hard strategy game
The gameplay is good but the UI is quite bad.
Stuffs like crafting, upgrading ...etc are hampered by the poor UI.
Overall still considered good mainly because of the gameplay.
Winged Sakura: Mindy's Arc is probably not the best tower defense ever made, but it's different enough from the standard td to be worth checking out, and it's pretty fun too.
The key element of this game is that the spirits you summon to fight only last a few seconds, so you can never reach a state where you have all your defences ready and you simply need to watch as the level ends, instead you're in constant need to keep summoning your spirits in order to survive, making it more fast paced.
Your spirits can level up and equip a weapon and an accessory, while the levelling up is quite basic and the best way to do it is simply progressing through the story, for the equipment you have to manage your resources and craft or buy items to level said equipment up and you have quite a good selection of accessories you can equip.
You can also equip abilities to use during the battle once in awhile to get out of a difficult situation, while during endgame you will probably find just 1 or 2 sets of skills that are actually the best, during early game this offers a lot of flexibility.
The last mechanic is the transformation: this lets you go into a special state where all your spirits become incredibly strong at the cost of lots of your energy (the currency for summoning spirits in the battle) every second, this makes the gameplay have that element of risk-reward that many td lack.
What are the cons to all of this? Well, the game has a high initial difficulty curve that may throw many people off and the bosses are maybe a bit too similar: every new boss felt to me like a more powerful version of the last one (except for the final boss).
The normal levels also felt a tad too repetitive, but I can say that during a normal playthrough the game doesn't overstay its welcome, just if you want to 100% it like me. It took me 64 hours to get all the achievements.
The story is very hard to follow and it takes quite a while to become something that makes some kind of sense, and unfortunately as soon as it became interesting the game itself ended [spoiler]with a cliffhanger[/spoiler] (but there's a sequel that will come out eventually).
Audio and visuals are okay, maybe the characters art during dialogues could be better, but that didn't ruin anything for me.
Achievements are average, a bit too grindy but the game itself provides you some mechanics to make them less boring (like the guaranteed level up for every 15 waves in survival mode).
The devs seem to be quite active in helping people in the forum, this is a plus.

A very hard, fast-paced version of Plants vs Zombies. Probably too much story scenes but was sooooooo deep and fun (at first). The sad part is how quickly this game scales up difficulty, and how grindy it is to earn money. :-(

升级装备是深坑，不要和图纸的掉率硬刚
无尽120以后需要高强化的boss精灵提供不吃属性的伤害，所以出了全成就就可以删游戏了。

Оняму Real-time Tower Defence с огромным количеством гринды (для новых скиллов без которых не пройти определенные уровни, и улучшения ваших мобов, без улучшения которых дальше easy/normal можно не соваться).
В целом если рассматривать как тайм-киллер для убийства десятка часов (аналогичных TD в steam еще минимум штуки 3-4 наберется) - почему бы и нет.
Как игру для прохождения за пару-тройку вечеров и получая при этому некое удовольствие - спорно.
Не смотря на довольно серьезные минусы: тут неплохая рисовка, музыка, приличное разнообразие во всём (унылые инди TD наводнившие стим в последнее время и рядом не стоят с ней) и вообще довольно реиграбельная вещь, с большими оговорками - у вас нет претензий к анимешной стилистике игры, вы любитель долгих казуальных игр на 30-50 часов прохождения.
Личная оценка: 5.5/10.
Строго для фанатов TD, которые уже прошли всё и вся в этом жанре.

3hrs in and loving it so far, Certainly a challenge with nail biting gameplay something that is missing in most AAA games today.
Recommend give the game a try, Grab it on sale if curious but worth a buy non the less, Thumbs up to the development team.
Great Game. HIGH APM required even on the easiest difficulty. There is a "Strategic Pause" for people that are not good at APM (Like me). Game Plays simliar to plant vs zombies except instead of your Plants, aka Spirits they have a life timer that will despawn when it runs out. This requires you to constantly replace units and strategise on the fly if your not using the Pause button, or if your playing on the hardest difficulty which prevents you from pausing. Game has some serious grindy elements, that IMO is a little to much. You can upgrade/Enchant your Spirits weapons and accesaries so they can do more damage, attack faster, live longer, ETC. Which is HIGHLY needed. so more GRIND.
If you dont Grind your going to be in some serious hurt. Could not pass the 7th Stage on NORMAL! had to grind for about an hour just to pass it on EASY LOL. Yep I suck at these types of games.
I have read some other comments below, and others have posted very good criticism for the game and what I have seen, I agree with lots of what they put out.
Some "do not recommend" Ex: No, Gives out great criticism regarding the game, and High lights alot of what the game is about.
I would recommend this game for those who like a good APM style game, or those who need to practise their APM LOL.
I think this really is a good game.
The story is decent but the real gameplay comes from the difficulty of the game.
If you want to play it right, you have to pause the game every 2 or 3 seconds. And I had no problem with that.
But the main reason I'm writing this review is because I don't understand why everyone says this is grindy. I've always played on normal, and a couple of times I've played the lower levels on hard to farm some items. But by no means is this abnormal grinding for me. I've finished the "campaign" now, and I had to farm maybe 2 hours for the whole campaign? Opposed to "hundreds of replays" I see in many reviews.
You probably have to farm a ton if you're not paying 100% attention to the game. I paused almost every 2 seconds, that's a lot, but that's the game.
So, a hard strategy game which requires full attention, but certainly a good game.

This isn't a terrible game, but two things about it are making me consider getting a refund on it.
1. The writing is so bad that I skip past all the dialogue using a macro.
2. The amount of grind required is annoying.
Even if you play "perfectly", you will run into a wall by mission 6 or so. Even going down to "easy" difficulty doesn't work. You're then stuck until you've improved your units quite a bit, which involves two things: levelling them up through using them (grinding) and upgrading their equipment by (again) grinding for drops.
You know what? While writing this review, I've decided that I will get a refund after all. Sorry, Winged Sakura, but this just isn't fun enough to play through over and over.

First of all, if you don't have a tolerance for this kind of thing, I'd check out right now, because Winged Sakura is pretty much exactly the kind of game you'd expect from that title. It's pretty much unironic about that, which had a certain silly charm to me, but obviously not for everyone. You play as Mindy, a young mage, and her Sakura Minzy - basically a spirit partner. They find themselves stuck in a building, and have no memory of how or why they're here. To find out, you'll need to head through four areas of twelve stages each, defending the place from attacks. Objectively the story is kinda bad; it often brings up new plot elements out of nowhere, all the characters are pretty one-note, and there's a lot of it.
What really drew me in was the gameplay. Like Plants VS Zombies, it's a lane defense, but far more complicated. From the start there are far more enemies coming at you, there are considerations like elemental resistances and shields to take into account, and most importantly your towers in this are all spirits (the same as the enemies you fight, which is neat) that show up temporarily, generally ten seconds at most. That's enough time to get a few shots off, but every spirit has a cooldown period before you can place another, meaning there's a lot of micro-management to put them where they're most useful. That's helped by the game offering a tactical pause you can use at any time to plan out what you want to do, although Insane, the hardest difficulty available in each stage, disables it. If you enjoy that kind of gameplay, it's quite fun, and all your spirits are fairly unique to one another in what they can do.
Despite you potentially being able to have multiples of them out at once, every spirit is treated as a unique party member, and you can equip them with a personal weapon and one accessory, the latter of which do things like increasing the time they're on the field or decreasing their cooldown period. This is where the game gets a bit imperfect, as after every level you gain up to six drops depending on the difficulty, which include the ability to buy or craft items at the store. There are several tiers to each item, so you may find yourself having problems upgrading through no fault of your own. I remember unlocking a spirit fairly late in the game and not getting its weapon after the level, so I either had to go without for the next one or run that level again. After the first couple they become standardized at fifteen waves each, so this can definitely be a bit of a pain, and it would have been nice if there was a system where lower-tier items became unlocked automatically. The actual crafting can take some lucky drops as well, and while more straight-forward, buying the materials for that takes money, which you get by selling stuff you get. So it's a big cycle.
It sounds odd to recommend Winged Sakura after my review of Prime World Defenders, but the actual game part of it was good enough to make me play it all the way through. Still, I would fully agree it is not necessarily a game for everyone, and that you need to have a reasonable tolerance for trashy anime and watching numbers go up. If you do, it will serve you well on both accounts. If not, give this one a pass.

総評は7/10、セールで500円切ってれば良コスパといったところ
クリア後のやり込み要素もあり難易度も程よく時間は潰せる

First off I would like to say I'm not much of a strategy game player. But this game is awesome! The characters are adorable. You play Mindy who faints in and out of an alter-reality, gameplay and real life mode maybe? Its your usual point and click strategy game, with timed cool downs for special actions. The game has a 30 second timer on it, but you have to right-click on the timer to reset to 30seconds, there is also game pause so you can determine your next move. The game play mechanics is pretty good, not too easy yet not too difficult either, its a quick learn. There is a certain amount of stereotypicalness with this game, if you love anime style visual novels this i must have. As a person who really doesn't care much for strategy games, I find myself being driven to succeed to just go further in the story and see what happens. Its got really good solitaire style game play, the game itself pretty quickly paced but with strategic pauses it makes it a lot more casual. If you love stragetgy games, it may not be the deepest, but for the rest of us, its a very fun easy to learn game with a really fun cheeky upbeat tempo. The soundtrack is nothing short of AMAZING, really suits the gameplay.
It was fun at first but I'm not into this kind of reptitive nature and the plot definitely isn't enough to keep you playing. Was fun for a little while, but overall not worth investing my time in my opinion.

A tower defense game that requires grinding and even early levels can't be completed without redoing levels you've already got full points for.
