sei lá, não tenho mais cabeça pra esse tipo de jogo, não passei dos tutoriais de hacking e nem quero saber.
这个游戏的好评率之高与我主观感受差距过大，以至于简单翻了一眼攻略还不敢贸然给出差评。快进看了一遍walkthough，为了确定到底是游戏本身问题还是我电波没对上。
游戏的抽象本质无聊透顶，解密方法是完全没有线索的穷举。主线内容是在wiki上的链接列表里一个一个点开，某些可能的链接里会包含线索，然后开始没有目的的胡乱点击文字图片，直到生成key（或者没有）。最可恶的是某些链接永远打不开，而有些链接则有固定可访问时间段，你很容易在第一次尝试后就放弃从而错过。
暗网的猎奇只不过是无聊玩法的皮肤，而你实际上无法对其中内容进行任何互动。无法买麻买枪买色情服务买奴隶，即使这些就在那。结合上述玩法，这个卖点就变成了鸡肋，你完全可以把他替换成任何内容，比如财政新闻，超市目录，都不影响游戏性质。
单纯解密肯定无聊，时间限制算是稍微增加了点紧迫感。更重要的部分是连环杀人/绑架犯机制，创意不错但是实现很差，跟hacker一样。触发机制比较随机，你能做的反制手段就是关灯堵门重启路由。这本身可以是比较精彩的插曲/彩蛋甚至是坏结局，甚至是玩法的一半一半，但是会玩的一般都选择提前关灯避开，这样就变成了没什么意义的困难。我的评价是不如fears to fathom（这名字还真妙）

I have watched an extreme amound of videos of the game and its sequel on YouTube and really wanted to play it myself. Unfortunately, I didn't enjoy the gameplay that much. The gamplay is very hard its difficult to find your way around the websites. But the atmosphere is fantastic, it feels like you're always being watched. And every time you get up, you hope it's not too late. You have to try it yourself to see if you like it.

Можно ругать игру за невероятные требования к усидчивости и к умению держать концентрацию всю игру (и в этом будет смысл), можно ругать её за однообразный геймплей (с этим лично я не согласен), банально за огромную цену ошибки при маленькой плотности возможных полезных действий на метр (то есть полчаса ничего сверхважного не происходит, но вот в одну конкретную секунду ты не сделал того, что нужно, и всё), но чёрт возьми, как же она хороша в плане постоянного и надёжного источника адреналина. В неё максимально жутко и некомфортно играть в моменте (скримеры не очень страшные кстати, ожидание страшнее), но в целом не покидает ощущение, что тебе ужасно приятно здесь, ибо она просто перманентно и без передышек впрыскивает тебе заветный гормон, и это кайф. Кстати, это всё ещё и по цене пачки чипсов. Когда-нибудь я пройду её и буду трогать другие, уже приобретенные части (там кстати 3 часть выходит), но что-то мне подсказывает, что именно сюда я буду возвращаться много лет спустя.

The game conveys the fear of the unknown very well; you never know what's going to happen. The deep web is also very well done in it. It has high replayability and multiple endings. However, when you want to play through the game, it becomes quite frustrating. It's only scary in the first few runs. I highly recommend it to those who are interested in the deep web and love horror 🔍

Дорогой дневник, сегодня 9 декабря 2025 года... У меня наигранно всего 3,2 часа в ВТТГ, но я уже 16 раз начинала эту игру с самого начала. Я понятия не имею, сколько ещё раз этот цикл повториться. Я принципиально играю без гайдов и всё думаю: как бы мне не сорваться и не пойти читать ВТТГ вики? В общем, это страдания. Тяжкие. Настоящие. Долгие.
Это всего лишь первая часть игры. Если она меня заставляет плакать от страха, слыша один лишь её эмбиент, то что тогда творится во второй части великой ВТТГ?
Ад для казуалов. Рай для хардкорщиков и настоящих мазохистов. Вот как можно описать ВТТГ. Игра довела меня до слёз 4 раза, нервный срыв я получила, когда меня сразу после старта взломал хакер, а я не успела пройти головоломку. Ох, а как часто у меня возникало желание выкинуть себя в окно вместе с ноутбуком...
И мучает меня лишь один вопрос: почему я продолжаю играть в это? Что движет мной? Упорство и желание узнать, чем кончится этот сраный сбор ключей по всему даркнету? Или это что то, что мне не дано понять?

How do I even start...me going into this game blind was a horrible mistake it's a great game but it's really stressful if you've got bad anxiety. It's am amazing game but damn the things you see on the websites are disgusting especially on the website "forgive me" I looked at loads of confessions and man I was so sick just thinking that out there people are actually doing those things IRL and we would never know but i rate this game 10/10 probably will never beat it but i'll try.

Se prepare pra embarcar em horas de gameplay e muito estresse porque chega a ser ridiculo o quanto esse jogo é dificil, além de ser bem assustador, visto que este jogo utiliza de elementos da vida real para te deixar tenso (sequestradores, assassinos, etc.)
Infiltre-se na Deep Web em busca da Red Room e se atente a todos os detalhes, para quem gosta de uma experiencia imersiva com bastante dificuldade, pode comprar o jogo sem medo
This game isn't as scary as it is annoying. The main problem is audio cues for the killer when he attacks you, it's so damn silent that I can't hear it at all. How am I supposed to play this game if the game even won't give me a chance to HEAR or KNOW that I'm being attacked? As much as I know, this is an issue of v2.0, when Breather was introduced, and his game design choices are so freaking stupid. If you enjoy straining your hearing, play the game, but if you want to just enjoy some horror game normally, stay away from this crap.

Absolutely no idea how to find a key in this game.
This is the predecessor to the much more in-depth and iconic Welcome to the Game 2, and while it doesn't have nearly as much going on as its follow-up does, it is still plenty terrifying on its own.
I would like to point out that this studio's games... well, you really can't find anything like it anywhere else. They're deeply immersive, and use realism to heighten the horror tenfold. You can try all you like not to pay attention to the content of the pages you're visiting - but the game's core mechanic of searching for keys that are (sometimes literally) between the lines makes you read and see some truly god awful things. All while you've got two killers after you. Honestly, I'd call this game a sort of pseudo rogue-like. You don't gain anything in the game from dying, but YOU gain knowledge that will help you in the next.
And if that trial-and-error gameplay is not your vibe, you *can* just look everything up. (I would still recommend doing at least a handful of runs blind, however.) It does make the game a lot easier, but not too easy. You still have to pay attention. I actually went into this game knowing quite a few things already from videos I'd watched and things I'd read, and still died several times. I found a lot of joy in covering my blind spots and finally executing a successful run. And it's only five dollars! At the very least, you could treat this game like a demo run for the much more intense sequel.
(And as of writing this review, there's a third game coming soon-ish! so now's as good a time as any to get into it.)

Legitimately just not fun. I've had multiple runs where I go to every site I can access at the beginning and none of them have the codes I need. So I have to wait. While I'm waiting I do the stupid puzzle to get the next wiki and get hacked 15 times. Oh I'm done with the puzzle now. Let me go to the other sites. Well too bad the game won't let me because I have to wait for a specific time, and I get hacked another 12 times.
This is literally a wait and do nothing simulator if you get bad RNG.
Sorta easy after you know what sound cues to listen for, was able to 100% in about 12 hours. Fun game to come to every few months when I start forgetting how to play.

Welcome to the Game, um jogo que eu botava muita fé que ele era divertido e bom, por conta dos vídeos antigos que assistia quando moleque desse jogo. Mas a verdade é que ele é um jogo com uma IA totalmente merda e estranha; e sistema de jogo puzzle minimamente desinteressante!
A princípio da minha análise ser negativa, eu acho que vale a pena você jogar o jogo para ter sua própria experiência. Afinal, cada um tem sua própria opinião. Em meu caso específico, apenas me frustrei por talvez ter colocado muita fé que esse jogo era muito bom, mas não, ele é só medíocre mesmo.
"Ah, mas você nem chegou a terminar o jogo pra ter certeza se é isso mesmo que tu acha!"
Mas eu não preciso terminar um jogo pra dar minha opinião e já ter uma base do que acho sobre o jogo. Particularmente, achei chato, mas repeito e entendendo aqueles que gostam desse jogo. Joguei por uma quantidade de tempo bacana, e pra mim já foi o suficiente!
Nota final: 6/10
obs: Sim, poucos jogos que eu dou nota negativa ainda saem com uma quantidade legal de nota, mas é que devo admitir que a atmosfera do jogo é legal, os caras que ficam te perseguindo fazem sentido (apesar de que um dos pontos que mais achei ruim desse jogo foi o jeito como eles funcionam, já que eles não possuem um padrão tão lógico, o que faz ser frustrante ser pego sendo que tu tava fazendo tudo certinho pra não ser pego por algum desses malucos). Porém contudo todavia, é só um jogo medíocre no final das contas!

really wanted to play this. no opting to change text size. i play on a 85 in tv and cant see things sitting 3 feet infront of it due to tinny size and angle
While this was fun and interesting as a concept, it was frustrating to play at first, and without a guide, I couldn't see trial and error as a consistent strategy for success.

Some years ago I loved watching wttg2 and then when I finally played it I was ass. Couple days ago I was looking on steam and realized that wttg1 was on steam aswell and I decided to buy it and go on a mission to finish both games. This game is 5 times easier than the 2nd one and it was a very good game to train a bit before going to wttg2. The game is fun and I recommend this to everyone else especially because is only 5$

I’ve read good things about this game in the reviews, but I disagree
It’s a game you can play only by following GUIDES or it’s useless. So, be aware that it’s not a game where you sit and resolve stuff by yourself.
I tried that for like an hour or so, I couldn’t find anything. Then read a guide and figured out you need to know stuff that only a guide can tell you. I don’t like that, I want to discover the game by myself, not follow a guide and losing the excitement of discovering stuff by myself.
And it’s not scary at all?

Nothing happens. You can hear some step noises and similar, and you can be tracked by a man in the room. Nothing else?
I don’t recommend it to people looking for a big plot or gameplay, you’re just scrolling pages on a computer and need the help of a guide. There are some “puzzles” to resolve from time to time just via the computer screen.
The commands are stiff too.

its.. a thing... I'll maybe try it again but i don't understand why it has so many good reviews tbh. Wasn't really scary, just a lot of reading weird stuff and trying to find hidden codes.
Welcome to the Game is a dark, atmospheric horror puzzle game that drops you into the deep web and doesn’t let go. You play as a hacker trying to uncover a hidden site while dodging real-time threats that get more intense the deeper you dig. It’s tense, eerie, and surprisingly immersive, especially with the creepy ambient sounds and sudden jump scares.
Gameplay is basically a mix of research, patience, and paranoia. You’re scanning pages, solving codes, and watching your virtual back at all times. It’s not for everyone—some parts are slow, and the difficulty can be punishing but if you’re into unsettling experiences that mess with your head, this one sticks with you. Definitely not your average horror game.

This is the type of game that scares the ♥♥♥♥ out of you, and also want to make you microwave yourself, but you always keep coming back. Love it.
Absolutely terrifying when playing it for the first time, pretty tough getting all the keys but the strategies I found online to be the game are pretty useful. Going to beat the game one day hopefully...
