Warhammer 40,000: Inquisitor – Martyr has a strong “wow” opening. For the first hours it genuinely feels like “Diablo, but Warhammer,” and the presentation is excellent: chunky weapons, great atmosphere, satisfying effects — it looks and sounds cooler than I expected.

Then the repetition hits.

Most missions boil down to the same few objectives and room layouts with very little variation. The story tries and there are some cool 40K moments, but the pacing is flat and it quickly turns into background noise while you run another identical map.

The loot system is the real killer for me. Story missions don’t feel rewarding at all — you finish a big mission and… nothing. Gear drops are mostly trash and upgrades feel random rather than earned. The game keeps nudging you toward Tarot/Void Crusade-style systems, but those also assume you already have some gear. So the loop becomes: farm gear to do the content where you farm gear… and then what? It starts to feel like grinding for the sake of grinding.

And on top of that, I’m getting crashes when finishing Void Crusade missions, which is brutal because that’s the one mode that should feel like the exciting payoff (and where the best items are). Losing progress there completely kills motivation.

Verdict: great first impression, strong 40K vibe, but repetitive mission design, unrewarding loot, and stability issues drag it down hard. Worth it on a deep sale if you just want a Warhammer ARPG to chill with. At full price, I can’t recommend it.

Apparently you have to buy "Martyr" to be able to play the other 5 classes out of the 6 classes, and 1 of the other 5 classes you also have to buy to play it. so If you only bought "Prophecy", you will be able to play 1 class only. This is utterly absurd, locking classes behind other games with similar content and made no effort to display this important information on the purchase page.

Extremely disappointment, will never buy from this developer again.
