My review is pretty much the same as the 1st game, except I liked this one a bit more in regards to the level design.
*Original review: Pretty good Wizardry-like dungeon crawler with a steampunk aesthetic. I'm not generally a steampunk fan, but even with that, this game is well-crafted and the visual style fits the game style, and it truly feels like a fresh new take on a gameplay style I love. Not a bad game, at all. Puzzles can be a bit obtuse at times, but none of them are super frustrating - just pay attention to your environments and learn the game's interesting mechanics.

Compared to the first one this version was very hard. The first one had a lot of monsters to kill, and it was fun to choose what builds to make. This one really didn't matter how you made the characters build. Because 90% of the game felt like very hard puzzles for every single step of the game instead of having a hard puzzle to figure out just for the extra treasure chest feeling. Ya this one is more of a puzzle solving type of game instead of dungeon crawling, and killing monsters, building character type. As for the story i have to say it was cool to learn more about what happened through the first game.

好在《Lockdown》带回了时停模式，你如今在面对战斗的时候可以更加从容，且带来了更加宽松的难度系统。虽然可以暂停，但是这毕竟是个偏重策略而非动作的玩法品类，你必须善用地形，选用正确的武器和升级来获得优势。而在战斗外，游戏几乎完全通过解密堆砌而成，需要额外的耐心。

《Vaporum》选择了一条对于如今世代的玩家过于小众的道路，但是DRPG不应该被遗忘，后继者能合理融合现代化系统，让如此古老的玩法继续绽放生机，本就值得被嘉奖了。

I didn't find this one to be as enjoyable as the first. Consider it on sale if you want, but I would recommend something else instead like Grimrock, Starcrawlers, Bioshock, or Might Magic Legacy X.

I really thought giving this one a thumbs down. The main reason being that the ration of puzzles you have to complete is sky high. Compared to the first game, this takes the whole new level, I would say, is about for every 1 fight there will be 2 puzzles you gotta solve afterwards.

And many of them are not even fun, requiring a lot of going back and forward to solve them, it just takes so damn long to complete. A year may have passed since I played the previous game, but Lockdown felt too tedious to get through, I do like it a bit (not as much as the first) since it does keep the same gameplay. I liked the first half, it may have been filled with puzzles but they did not require as much going back and it kept things simple, but ohh boy as more you get through the story the more levels/zones you will unlock, and some objectives require you to go through them, and not just once. Also, most puzzles are the kind which kill you after 1 mistake or two, so, Quick Save and stop time feature will be your BFFS in this game.

Like I mentioned, it does keep mostly of the same gameplay from the first game, many enemies will be similar, much of the tech tree is the same, even graphics look very close to each other. However, the gameplay does feel smoother compared to the previous. I do like that since it keeps a nice, smooth progression through the games, after all, both take place in the same tower.

If you really enjoyed the first game, then sure grab it, but take this 1 with a grain of salt, if not put it in the backlog, behind Grimrock, Might & Magic, Eye of Beholder and even some of those anime style ones like Etrian Odyssey. Heck if it wasn’t for the tedious puzzles I would fully rec. this game, some really suck; there are plenty such puzzles in the second half, I got through it by using walkthroughs at this point.

BTW, make sure you save up on your repair kits, the last boss is a hp magnet (or at least it was for me cuz I had a tank build), additional enemies spawn and has some big AOE attacks, you will get hit!

Чудова серія ігор у стилі dungeon crawler з елементами класичних рпг. Рекомендую брати разом обидві частини, хоча друга набагато краща за першу, але сюжетно вони пов'язані та граються дуже добре. Тут дуже багато різних загадок та головоломок,а також всюди вас будуть переслідувати бійки з ворогами. Велика кількість різного сорядження та прокачка дають можливість створити унікальних клас для проходження. Це може бути як звичайний мілішнік з мечем та щитом, або канонір з рушницею, або взагалі маг з різними гаджетами. Хоча вам ніхто не заважає створювати та обєднувати різні класи в один. В цілому гра не дуже велика, годин за 15-16 можна пробігти якщо не зависати на головоломках. Шанувальникам серії ігор Legend of Grimrock дуже рекомендую, іншим можна спробувати особливо на знижках.

Három fájl jön fel ha rákattintasz: - info (nézd meg mit ír) - EN (erre jobb egér: másolás, majd a kért helyre beillesztés) - verzió
Ne törődj vele ha neked az info-nál D meghajtót ír neked meg a C meghajtón van a játék, hisz az elején leírtam hogy a könyvtárból hogy nyisd meg a játék fájljait. A játék címétől kövesd az infó fájl útmutató lépéseit, és ahova írja oda jobb egér megnyomása után beillesztésre kattintva, beilleszti a korábban (másolással) kimásolt: EN fájlt. Bár ezt nem írja és valószínűleg nem is kell, de miután ezzel megvoltam, ugyan oda beillesztettem a: verzió nevű fájlt is. (default lengguages-be
nem az: EN fájlba.) Ha ezzel megvagy a játék alatt egész jó magyarítás lesz, és a menüben is. - Steam-Punk-Setting empfinde ich nach wie vor als sehr gewöhnungsbedürftig (ich bevorzuge natürlich ganz klar ein klassisches Mittelalter-Fantasy-Setting bei Grid-based-Spielen)
- langweiliges, schwarzweiß Intro
- furchtbare Intromusik
- Vertonung nur auf Englisch was viel Atmosphäre kostet
- generell war die Vertonung inhaltlich nur mäßig interessant und kaum atmosphärisch (bei System Shock 1-2 (1994-199) haben Sprecher auch mal geschrien oder haben Kämpfe vertont)
- immer noch keine 4er Party
- mal wieder keine Charaktererschaffung
- nach wie vor nur 3 primäre Attribute (Kampf, Technik, Zähigkeit), alle anderen „Stats“ ergeben sich aus den Attributen
- die Charpuppe hat nur 4 Slots (es fehlen z.B. Ringe, Gürtel, Halsketten, Armreife, Umhang was die Ausstattung des Chars doch arg einschränkt (dadurch mangelnde Komplexität)
- keine Traglast
- abgelegte oder geworfene Gegenstände werden erneut nur in einem Sack dargestellt(!) und nicht als Gegenstand als solcher (Dungeon Master hat 1987, schon gezeigt wie das auszusehen hat)
- Gegner können nicht unter Türen zerquetscht werden (auch hier wieder Vorbild Dungeon Master)
- Architektur der einzelnen Ebenen an sich wirkte auf mich nicht glaubhaft (um den Spieler aufzuhalten optimal, aber irgendwer muss da drin ja auch gearbeitet und gelebt haben)
- kein Kompass (was zum exzessiven Nutzen der Karte zwingt)
- kein Hunger oder Durst (das gab’s damals in so ziemlich jedem Spiel dieses Generes)
- es gibt zwar verschiedene sehr kurze Zustände wie Blutung, Elektischer Schock, Betäubt, Brennend, Frost und Verätzt, aber warum keine länger anhaltenden Zustände wie z.B. Vergiftet, Krank, Verstümmelt, Verflucht, Verstrahlt usw. für die man was tun muss um sie loszuwerden? (erneut fehlende Komplexität)
- warum kein 3. Waffenset? z.B. 1 für Mechanische Gegner, 1 für Organische Gegner und 1 für Fernkampf (so wird Fernkampf stark vernachlässigt, da erstere beiden Pflicht sind)
- nur 9 unterschiedliche zauberartige Gadgets (im Vorgänger waren es noch 13)
- nur bis zu 4 Gadgetslots, eigentlich aber nur 2, da man die letzten beiden durch steigern freischalten muss
- weniger als ein Dutzend verschiedene Gegnermodelle mit verschiedenen Varianten und kaum neue Gegner, was einfach zu wenig Abwechslung bietet
- wieder keine einzigartigen Bosskämpfe, die Bosse wenn man sie so nennen darf, werden später zu ganz gewöhnlichen Gegnern
- lahme, simple Story die mir nicht sonderlich gefallen hat und generell fehlt dem Spiel die Seele und die kleinen aber feinen Details
- Arx Pedia (ausführliche Gegnerbeschreibungen) weiterhin nur auf Englisch, dass man das im Vorgänger einfach vergessen hat, okay, aber dass man das erneut nicht übersetzt hat, ist peinlich
- generell spartanisch und nicht sehr komplex

[b]FAZIT[/b]

Vaporum: Lockdown aus dem Jahr 2020, ist eine Erweiterung von Vaporum von 2017, wird aber als eigenständiges Spiel auf Steam behandelt. Es ist immer noch am besten mit (dem viel besseren) Legends of Grimrock zu vergleichen und spielt sich wie einer der alten Dungeon-Crawl-Klassiker bei denen man sich blockweise (grid-based) bewegt und Echtzeitkämpfe aus der Ego-Perspektive bestreitet. Dabei hat man die stetige Wahl ob man im Nahkampf mit zwei Waffen zugleich, einer schweren Zweihandwaffe, Einhandwaffe + Schild, Fernkampf mittels Feuerwaffen, oder mit einer Art Mechanomagie kämpft.
Besiegte Gegner hinterlassen Fumium (Erfahrung), womit der Anzug verbessert wird (Stufenaufstieg). Mittels Schaltkreispunkten können gewisse Schaltkreise (Fertigkeiten) freigeschaltet bzw. verbessert werden. Ich vermisse hier aber ganz klar die klassische Vierergruppe wie man die nun mal kennt. Dadurch hat man auch nur 1/4 so viel Spaß beim leveln seines Charakters.
Ort des Geschehens ist genau wie im Vorgänger Arx Vaporum, ein gigantischer Turm auf einer Plattform mitten im Ozean. Langweilig…, warum bekommt man hier keine komplett andere Örtlichkeit präsentiert? Auch habe ich die Atmosphäre im Vorgänger positiver in Erinnerung. Hier spüre ich diese hier überhaupt nicht mehr.
Der Schwerpunkt liegt erneut ganz klar auf Rätseln und erst dann auf Kämpfen und als Letztes auf dem Erkunden. Aber ich finde man hat es mit den Rätseln hier stark übertrieben.
Das Steam-Punk-Setting hat mich erneut lange Zeit vom Kauf abgehalten, aber da es eher wenig grid-Based Dungeon Crawler dieser Art gibt, kauft man es gezwungenermaßen halt doch.
Dass die Gadgets (Zauber) „ausgerüstet“ werden müssen, nervt spätestens dann, wenn diese 1/3 des Inventars belegen. Das haben die legendären Vorgänger des Genres klar besser gemacht.
Ich habe das Spiel im vorletzten Level abgebrochen, weil ich keine Lust mehr auf immer weitere und noch mehr Rätsel hatte.
Vaporum: Lockdown ist zwar im Grunde ein gutes Spiel das mich auch sehr gefordert hat, dennoch hat es mich nicht zum Beenden des Spiels animieren können. Mir fehlten einfach neue Inhalte, neue Gegner, eine komplett andere Umgebung und eine Weiterentwicklung im Spiel allgemein. Es ist einfach mehr vom Alten.
Hardcore Fans dieses Genres könnten es sich zwar antun, da es vieles immer noch recht gut macht, aber für einen Daumen hoch von mir reicht das Abgelieferte nicht.
Mir fehlt die 4er Gruppe die ich komplett unterschiedlich steigern kann, richtige Charakterklassen, überhaupt mal eine Charaktererschaffung, kleine Zwischensequenzen, Entscheidungen, eine spannende Geschichte und vieles mehr. "Vaporum Lockdown" po "Legend of Grimrock" stał się moim drugim ulubionym dungeon crawlerem, oczywiście z tych współczesnych tytułów. Druga część została dopieszczona w każdym calu. Z zasady nie przepadam za prequelami, znając już wydarzenia, myślałem, że nie zostanę tutaj niczym zaskoczony... jak bardzo się myliłem. Poznajemy historię Ellie Teller – badaczki uwikłanej w tajemniczy projekt realizowany na samym środku oceanu, z jej perspektywy oraz wydarzeń, jakie miały miejsce w tamtym czasie, co doskonale scala całą historię, którą ma się ochotę poznać z tej drugiej strony.

Grając w ten tytuł, czułem się, jakbym grał w jedną z części "Bioshocka", a to za sprawą klimatu, audiofonów, stroju, który z czasem przywdziewamy, oraz akcji rozgrywanej na środku oceanu w tajemniczej wieży, gdzie zamiast Art Deco mamy dookoła steampunk.

W porównaniu do części pierwszej, jest zdecydowanie mniej walki, a więcej zagadek. Dla jednych będzie to zauważalny minus, dla innych plus. Ja zaliczam się do tej drugiej kategorii. Co warte odnotowania, jestem świeżo po przejściu pierwszej części i niedosyt, jaki mi towarzyszył po ukończeniu, skłonił mnie do sięgnięcia po ten tytuł. Muszę powiedzieć, że zdecydowanie bardziej mi się podobał. Fantastycznie zaprojektowane poziomy z nutą metroidvanii, gdzie będziemy zmuszeni wracać do poszczególnych lokacji, kończąc powierzone nam zadania.

Podkreślę, że w odniesieniu do pierwowzoru, twórcy sprawili, że każdy poziom jest unikalny, świetnie zaprojektowany i dopieszczony do granic możliwości. Naprawdę bardzo podobały mi się zaprojektowane poziomy, z wszystkimi zagadkami, wkomponowanymi przeciwnikami oraz całą historią, którą odkrywamy, czy to z zapisków, czy właśnie audiofonów. A wszystko to okraszone uczuciem, jakbyśmy grali w kolejną część "Bioshocka".

Warto zaznaczyć, że o ile w pierwszej części sekrety były świetnie poukrywane, tak tutaj są jeszcze bardziej skomplikowane i trudniejsze do odkrycia. Dla osób lubiących "lizanie" ścian, czasem może to nie wystarczyć, tym bardziej, że twórcy nie ograniczyli się do umieszczenia na konkretnej ścianie ukrytego przycisku, by uzyskać dostęp do konkretnego sekretu. Wymaga to użycia szarych komórek, aby wpaść na rozwiązanie odkrycia sekretu poprzez różne mechanizmy zastosowane w grze.

Jeśli podobał Wam się "Vaporum", to tutaj dostaniecie po prostu więcej tego samego, ale rozwiniętego do granic możliwości. Więcej historii, nowych przeciwników, zadań do wykonania, odkrywania sekretów/poziomów, zagadek, mniej walki, trochę więcej przedmiotów do wyboru, usprawniona grafika itd.

Życzyłbym sobie, aby w przyszłości powstała druga część tego świetnie wykreowanego uniwersum. Ja zdecydowanie rekomenduję ten tytuł i zachęcam wszystkich, by również dali mu szansę!

"Vaporum Lockdown" has become my second favorite dungeon crawler right after "Legend of Grimrock," of course among contemporary titles. The second part has been polished in every detail. Generally, I’m not a fan of prequels, knowing the events beforehand; I thought I wouldn’t be surprised here... how wrong I was. We get to know the story of Ellie Teller – a researcher entangled in a mysterious project taking place in the middle of the ocean, from her perspective and the events that occurred at that time, which beautifully ties together the entire narrative that you want to explore from this other side.

Playing this title felt like I was in one of the "Bioshock" games, thanks to the atmosphere, audio logs, the outfit we gradually don, and the action set in a mysterious tower in the middle of the ocean, where instead of Art Deco, we have steampunk all around.

In comparison to the first part, there is definitely less combat and more puzzles. For some, this may be a noticeable downside, while for others, it’s a plus. I belong to the latter category. It’s worth noting that I just finished the first part, and the sense of longing I felt after completing it prompted me to dive into this title. I must say I enjoyed it much more. The levels are fantastically designed with a touch of metroidvania, where we are forced to return to specific areas to complete assigned tasks.

I want to emphasize that, compared to the original, the developers made each level unique, excellently designed, and polished to the limits of possibility. I really enjoyed the designed levels, with all the puzzles, integrated enemies, and the entire story we uncover, whether through notes or audio logs, all wrapped in the feeling of playing another "Bioshock" installment.

It’s worth mentioning that while secrets in the first part were cleverly hidden, here they are even more concealed and more complicated to discover. For those who enjoy "licking" walls, this may sometimes not be enough, especially since the developers did not limit themselves to placing a hidden button on a specific wall to access a particular secret. It requires using your brain to come up with solutions to uncover secrets through various mechanisms implemented in the game.

If you enjoyed "Vaporum," you will simply get more of the same here, but developed to the limits of possibility. More story, new enemies, tasks to complete, secrets/levels to discover, puzzles, less combat, a bit more items to choose from, improved graphics, etc.

I wish for a sequel to this wonderfully crafted universe in the future. I definitely recommend this title and encourage everyone to give it a chance!

Druga część Vaporum, fabularnie jest prequelem jedynki, aczkolwiek niewielkie ma to znaczenie.
Jest to po prostu więcej tego samego, czyli takie bezpieczny sequel (prequel, jak zwał tak zwał, wyszło później, więc jak dwójka). Nie ma w tym nic złego - jak po drugim Grimrocku nie oczekiwałem wywracania gatunku na głowę, tak i tutaj bym tego nie chciał.
Bohaterka jest niepowiązana z oryginałem, choć wydarzenia i napotkane postaci w wieży Arx Vaporum już owszem, przeplatają się.
Baza rozgrywki jest taka sama, z jedną postacią grywalną o różnorakiej wszechstronności. Kilka nowinek ekwipunkowych, ale tu też bez rewolucji.
Choć nie miałem już takiego wrażenia wszechobecnej ciemności, więc nie wpadałem co chwilę w zlewające się z podłogą dziury, to jednak twórcy w tej części poszli bardziej w łamigłówki i fabułę, niż eksplorację i walkę.
Dużo więcej jest notatek wszelkiego rodzaju, gadania, BACKTRACKINGU (wrrrr).
Nie jestem fanem nowej fascynacji twórców, w postaci zniszczalnych ścian (szczególnie, że bez tego chyba nie da się przejść gry), a ilość i poziom zagadek to też nie jest coś, z czego byłbym zadowolony. Przy pierwszej części może dwa razy szukałem pomocy online, tutaj kilkukrotnie więcej. Co zabawne, często zagadki wymagane do progresji były o wiele trudniejsze niż te, kryjące sekrety.
W pewnym momencie już nieco sfrustrowany ciągłym błądzeniem, szczerze wyczekiwałem końca.

Ustawiam na niepolecane, bo choć to nadal dobra gra, nie podoba mi się obrany kierunek względem poprzedniej części.

[b]Vaporum: Lockdown[/b] es un RPG con movimiento en grilla. Mantiene la misma estética y concepto jugable que su predecesor. Actúa como precuela, por lo tanto no es necesario jugar al primero. Sin embargo, es más que recomendable hacerlo dado que a mi parecer, es superior a este.

La premisa es simple: somos una investigadora en la torre Arx Vaporum que se encuentra en el océano y algo sale mal, por lo tanto tenemos que escapar. Este disparador es motivo para llevarte por los distintos sectores del mapa, e ir descifrando qué fue lo que ocurrió. Con una estética steampunk bien lograda, nos enfrentamos a máquinas y otros seres orgánicos mientras resolvemos acertijos (algunos bien difíciles) y buscamos llaves para avanzar. Como buen RPG tocará subir de niveles y conseguir mejores armas y armaduras. El único inconveniente que vi, es que hay muchas trampas de muerte instantánea y algunos combates resultaron ser un poco frustrantes por su dificultad.

Tiene una duración de 12 horas, aunque encontrar todos los secretos puede prolongar mucho el tiempo de juego. Funciona muy bien con un gamepad o teclado/mouse. Y suele tener un buen precio cuando está con descuento aunque no cuenta con precio regional (por lo menos para Argentina). Si jugaste al primero, [b]Vaporum: Lockdown[/b] va a gustarte, aunque sea apenas inferior a Vaporum.

This is a very tepid Not Recommended. I think it's probably still worth getting for cheap on a big sale, if you enjoyed the original Vaporum. However, be aware that despite initial impressions, the two games are very different.

- The ratio of puzzles to combat has been completely reversed. Vaporum probably had 2-3 enemy encounters between puzzles. Lockdown often has stretches of puzzle gauntlets. Lockdown's puzzles are also almost all longer and/or harder than Vaporum's, For reference, one of Vaporum's most cerebral puzzle involved a room of pressure plates the player must plan a route through, activating each plate precisely once, and ending in front of the exit door for an optional reward. Lockdown also has this puzzle, but with an added layer of complexity (energy projectiles the player must block as they follow the path). This puzzle is a relative breeze compared to many of the others, including the ones immediately before and after. They're not just longer due to difficulty, either; some puzzles are long simply because they require walking in a large circle, performing the same task over and over, just to push and pull a crate slowly through a maze, one tedious tile at a time.
Seriously, by the time I got to Air Conditioning, I had serious puzzle fatigue. It doesn't help that your reward for finding secrets is often... more puzzles (the reward for these being experience points you probably won't need, as I'll explain later). I'd estimate my total playtime at the time of this review (minus whatever was spent idling in menus or alt-tabbed out) would be at least 2/3 puzzles and backtracking (to find more secrets and solve more puzzles).

- The combat seems to be much easier. Ambushes are less frequent, skirmishes involving 3+ enemies are rarer, the new frost debuff makes any single enemy much less threatening, the manipulator, decoy, and projection gadgets come very early compared to the original and take the pressure off from the few large battles. There's really nothing threatening enough, even on Brutal, that really necessitates putting all that much thought into your build or getting all the powerful gear from puzzles and secrets (as long as you get the Manipulator of course). I was able to quite easily get the Ninja achievement on Brutal in Lockdown, whereas even on Hard that was a challenge in Vaporum. For reference, my build was a rifle-focused Combat Rig, with emphasis on precision, and excess points in Thauma skills.

- The level design is... different. At first, floors are still fairly linear, both in the order you go to them, and the order you complete them in. Around the halfway point, though, things start to open up. You can go to a new floor before completing your objective in the previous floor. Each floor is sprawling, with 2-4 sections you complete mostly sequentially, looping back though the central room several times. Basically, the game is still 80% linear (you can't really skip anything, you can just do some things out of order), but with a LOT more walking and backtracking and just generally aimless meandering. This can be pretty frustrating when you end up walking between multiple puzzles, trying to figure out if you need something from one to complete the other, or if you're just missing something due to puzzle fatigue (you probably are), and it just feels like a lot of wasted time for not much fun.

- Secrets are still annoying, just in a different way. While a good amount of them (maybe like half) are now more telegraphed (usually there will be a grated wall you can see a chest through), the method to get them are still mostly obtuse, or downright esoteric. The tiny buttons return, but now there are also completely unanticipated things, like having to close a pre-opened door and backtrack down a hallway to find a completely unremarkable wall has now opened up. I can't imagine playing this game without maps or a walkthrough for at least the occasional reference when you're completely stumped, even when you know WHERE the secret is.

- I don't see this game having any replay value. I wanted to do a Minion playthrough, since those aren't in the first game, but I just don't think I can subject myself to going through the game again. Most of a replay would be spent redoing puzzles that were often tedious the first time. I played through the original Vaporum multiple times to try out builds and get achievements. The idea of doing that for this game is... unappealing.

I really don't hate the game, I stuck it through to the end, but it just has too many problems compared to the first game to really look at favorably.

EDIT:
I decided to give the game one more playthrough, since I was quite curious how a Minion build would work. I still think most of my criticisms hold true, though a few things are worth clarifying. First, going through all the puzzles with the solutions still semi-fresh in your mind isn't THAT bad. It's still a sizable chunk of the playtime, and feels completely unnecessary, but I was able to stomach it. Second, though still quite manageable, combat with a less optimal playstyle was not quite so easy. I invested as much as possible into the Minions (including maximizing my own Integrity and Energy, which in turn raises that of the Minions), and on Brutal difficulty, the build really only started working once I had about 15 points in the various Thauma trees. Even still, with all of my build directed towards making the Minions stronger, in the final boss, I still ended up doing more damage with the Imperial Rifle than with my Minions (though the distraction they posed obviously cannot be discounted). I'd still say that combat is generally not too hard when using all the tools the game gives you; mostly, I just think Minions are terribly underpowered.

難易度ノーマルでエンディングを迎えた。本作は前作「Vaporum」の続編だが物語は前日譚となる。しかし、前作をプレイしていなくても十分に内容が理解でき、プレイヤーが物語から置いてけぼりになることはない。前作はエネミーとの戦闘がメインだったが今作はパズルがメインとなる。ということで、アクションゲームとパズルが好きな人向け。

思いついたことを幾つか。
・グリッド移動のオールドスクールRPG。
・睡眠や空腹は必要ない。飲まず食わず、不眠不休で行動できる。なので、食料を集めるクエストが・・・。
・いつでも好きな時に任意にセーブができる。
・回復手段は「回復キット」「レベルアップ時」「ドレイン効果」の三種。で、前作よりも回復キットが多めに出る。筆者は最終的に40個を超えて所持していた。
・レベルがあり、サーキットと呼ばれるスキルツリーを伸ばして自分で好みに育てていく。前作よりもサーキットの種類が増えた。筆者の最終レベルが16だったので、3本程度しか育てられないと思う。各サーキットの最大レベルが5。
・プレイヤーキャラクターの動作はもっさりぎみ。
・オートマップ対応。今作では目標やタスクも表示されるようになった。
・戦闘は相変わらずつまらない。不意打ちばかり。思わず苦笑いしてしまうくらい不意打ちしかない感じ。こういうのはお子様設定だと思う。
・前作よりもラスボスが強い。特に一段階目が強い。卑怯な攻撃をしてくるけど、本作の中では一番やりがいがあって面白みのある戦いを楽しめる。
・パズルが多い。種類も多い。個人的にはパズルの難易度もちょうどよく感じた。開発者たちは本当はアクションパズルゲームを作りたかったのではないかと思えるほど終盤はほぼパズル漬けになる。場を見ての状況判断と想像力を駆使して立ち向かうパズルが多いのでパズルが苦手な人は苦行になるかもしれない。観察し、かつ気づきが必要。熟考型のパズルと正確さと素早さを求められるパズルが存在している。
・日本語対応。自然な日本語訳で問題なく楽しめる。ありがとう。

個人的にはパズルシークエンスの難易度がちょうどよくて楽しめたが、戦闘シークエンスはただ不意打ちされるだけなので冷めることが多かった。唯一、ラスボスのバトルだけは勝利するまでに何度も失敗を重ねて攻略を楽しめた。

個人的に数年に一度くらいグリッド移動のオールドスクールRPGをプレイしたくなることがある。時々こういった新作のゲームがリリースされることは喜ばしいこと。あまり売れるようなタイプのゲームではないと思うけどね。

追記：エレベーターでフューミウムの鍵を使えば「本編の物語とは関係の無い高難易度」にチャレンジできるよ。

Sequel that borrows heavily from the previous game. Location/setting and combat feels much the same, which is fine. Puzzles were what I enjoyed. Yes some are frustrating, requiring tight timing or causing instant-death, but satisfying to figure out. Pause time mechanic worked really well, since I'm an old git with slow reflexes now!

The first Vaporum played imo like an homage to bioshock: Great story that pulled you in, a fantastic atmosphere and great gameplay, regarding both combat, exploration and puzzles.

In that regard, this prequel can be seen like the experience you have when playing Bioshock 2: Lockdown looks the same as the first Vaporum, it plays the same and is more of the same - but something is just not right.

The major thing in Lockdowns case which differs, apart from it being a prequel, is - again imo - the puzzles. Sometimes on certain levels it's like you play an endless string of trail and error with raising frustration as payoff, cause the flow of the game breaks when you have to pull or push this or that, or step on this or that, while you can hear something is happening, but the grid based first person view, makes it imposible to see where something is happening or what it is.

The puzzles it Vaporum where challenging, but logic. They didn't break the flow of the game, as in taking forevery to figure out and steadly becoming monoton and just more push and pull or steping on this or that...

Even though the above is a major negativ, I recommend the game if you either have played the first or just like dungeon crawlers. It's still entertaning to hunt for secrets, fight enemys and build up your character, but I recommend that you find either some maps or a walkthourgh, when you realize you have hit one of those puzzle levels, or you risk a lot of unessery frustration!

挺有诚意的一个游戏，内容很充实，中文翻译质量佳，操作简单易懂，有那么一段时间我觉得还挺有趣的。但我认为它不适合大部分人，因为它的谜题比重太大了，占据将近70%的内容，这也是为什么我说它充实——因为在后期，你基本上每秒钟都在思考谜题的解法；上一个谜题刚解完，没走几步，下一个谜题又接踵而至。本来玩到中期我还有点兴致勃勃，到了后期已彻底心力憔悴，只想尽快结束游戏。

诚然，本游戏的谜题已经不算无聊了，部分谜题还十分精妙，但这架不住大多数谜题还是类推箱的玩法。我相信大部分玩家在玩动作冒险游戏时会更期待“探索”和“战斗”的体验，而不是整天呆在一个个小房间里绕来绕去。而且提起这个游戏的谜题我必须吐槽一点，就是太特么极限了，很多时候往往要求你按了开关之后马上毫不间断地移动，差0.3秒都会失败——要知道，转向也就花费0.3秒，这意味着你必须连转向所花费的这点时间也要考虑进去（因此在这个游戏里横着走倒着走都是司空见惯的）。很多谜题看似无解，其实都是因为没有考虑到时间差——这真的很反直觉，因为一般的逻辑解谜游戏即便要考虑时间差的玩法，也不会设个0.3秒这么极限的标准。

到了后期，谜题相当复杂，一大堆按钮，你不知道哪个按钮控制什么东西，按下去后只听到一阵咔嚓声，由于距离过远视角受限，哪里发生了变化都不知道；有的按钮同时控制多个机关，如果你只注意到一个机关的变化而没有发现另外一个地方也会变化，就会被卡关很久；还有的谜题因为机关太多，一度让人难以理解题目是什么。

唉，其实要是这些谜题的质量再高一些，我未必就会因为它的谜题占比大而不推荐了。我一直秉持一个观点：如果一个游戏的谜题打包到另外一个游戏中依然可解，那这种谜题就是没有创意的。例如本游戏中很多推箱子谜题，你把这些推箱子放到其他游戏中，那不还是推箱子吗？这有任何创意可言吗？搞不好原题目就是从哪个推箱子题库抄来的；但是，游戏中有一些谜题的解法要用到主角的技能，比如全息召唤物+位置替换，这种就很亮眼，因为解法只存在本游戏中（毕竟其他游戏不存在这些技能），非常具有独特性。只是独特的谜题可能只占据1/10的样子吧。

作为一款走网格型DRPG，它摒弃了前辈《魔岩山传说》团队角色扮演模式，并且也不用再点击UI界面才能攻击，这种改进是值得肯定的。但它的战斗实在是没什么意思，如果说和敌人单挑时二人转还算是有点操作性，那么在一个狭小的空间刷一群敌人的多打一战斗就是毫无章法也没有任何策略性可言；整个游戏唯一让我觉得战斗快乐的一段，是我找到了一把传奇匕首，每杀一个敌人就能永久增加1点攻击力，这使我斗志昂扬，一改前期畏畏缩缩的姿态；可是好景不长，很快我就发现这把匕首的攻击力是有上限的，于是又变得谨慎起来，一言不合就S/L（不得不说，这游戏的S/L是真的快）。所以，我想这个游戏的正反馈设计可能也是有些问题的；若玩家整天想着要S/L，没有安全感，那还能玩得开心吗？

另外就是这个游戏引导巨差，很多时候知道要找某样东西却不知道那样东西在哪里，一个典型案例是我要找“种子库钥匙”，完全没有任何头绪，最后发现它藏在一堵毫无特征的隐藏墙壁之后，WTF。。。另一个案例是，直到通关了，我都找不到一把“地窖钥匙”，无法打开地图上的某扇门，然而我该到哪里去找这个钥匙呢？毫无头绪；我都通关了自然就无所谓了，但我想一定也会有玩家像这样找不到关键任务道具吧？他们会怎么想呢？

我虽然吐槽了这么多，但其实这个游戏不算劣质，谈不上优秀但也有良好的水准，甚至还很有性价比（毕竟内容充实，谜题量大），这篇测评并非差评，只是不推荐。如果你觉得谜题多无所谓，推箱子无所谓，然后你玩过的游戏少，对预算的敏感高于对时间的敏感，那么这对你来说可能是一个好的选择；否则，我会建议你去玩借鉴了本作的《Tower of mask》，你会知道真正玩起来身心愉悦的走网格DRPG长什么样子。

The game itself is really worth it if you are looking for dungeon crawlers, but I have to say a negative personally... TOO MANY PUZZLES.. I'm not joking the ratio with fighting/puzzle-solving at best gets around 30%/70%. There is nothing wrong with a game that challenges your mind, but I would have liked the game to have more levels purely based on fighting, every 2 steps you have to solve a puzzle to advance, and in the endgame, if you do proper builds you can just destroy everything, the final boss is a good example if you know what I mean.
Bottom line, good game, just expect to burn a good amount of brain cells

一人旅タイプのダンマス系ですね。
この手のゲームに必要な基本的な要素はそろってますからダンマス系好きなら遊んでも損はないと思います
ただパズルやシークレット要素で妙に見付け辛かったり面倒くさいものがあったり、モンスターハウス的な演出がちょっと多かったりと少し気になる部分もありました
戦闘に関してはストップタイムを使ってくの前提でバランス調整してるという感じですね、特にラスボス戦とかでその印象強いです
このジャンルこなれてる人にはお勧めできるんですが、初めてこの系統をやる人には微妙かな？色々バランス的に

The box puzzles will continue until morale improves.

It took me awhile after enjoying Vaporum to finally play Lockdown. Confident with my experience I beat LD on hard as a gadget caster/gunslinger, immediately replayed on brutal as a tank and returned to V to nearly 100% both games. As my mania attests if you liked V then you'll like LD, of if you like grid and tile dungeon crawlers with battle chess and puzzle rooms then you'll like both. LD delivers more of the same with a big overhaul in level map design, a slightly different approach to combat encounters and emphasis on more complicated puzzle rooms, for better or worse.

I'd suggest playing Vaporum first. Although this is a prequel I find that V delivers a better paced, more immersive experience with a cleaner narrative. LD does a fine job but it's more of a side dish for the main course, an old school expansion for fans of the main game. LD *will* spoil twists in V for you. Once you're ready for LD it follows Ellie Teller, promoted from off-screen notes author to protagonist as she tries to escape terrifying tower at sea Arx Vaporum during those first hours it goes off the rails. Killer robots and every OSHA violation in the world stand between her and freedom! It's a decent narrative, though Ellie is a lot quieter in LD than the player is in V and I found things a touch sterile for it absent the protag's personal musings.

LD still looks great, a foreboding nightmare of box halls and mechanical gizmos whirring and steaming. The sound design is good though LD is even more music-shy than V was, seeming to have a great title screen and final boss track and nothing but good ambiance past that, not even the guttural IT'S A FIGHT NOW ditty from V. Not a big strike against a game where you spend a lot of time in tense and contemplative silence but the tracks we do get are great so I'd love a few more.

Exploration is king here and these games scratch the itch of steadily building power and resources to survive turn-based horrors. While you can trade swings with enemies as a traditional RPG you're encouraged to be tactical, including an option to fluidly pause time between actions. The better dance is to evade as many of your foe's attacks as you can while getting your own in and the difficulty rises based on terrain, number and type of enemies and their attacks as well. You can't casually annihilate everything once you make the game at least a bit hard so you need to carefully plan kill order, when to unload and get somebody out of your way NOW and what to evade. Later on combat tools and satisfying build options give you a lot more control over things, whether you get better at killing, tanking, kiting or crowd control. Exploration is greatly rewarded with power spikes, so both sides of the game are nicely linked.

Although the roster caps out at a decent size it can feel a bit limited until more of the heavy-hitters start cycling in. LD also dials back the emphasis on combat vs V. There's less of it overall and less focus on tense situations where you're tossed into an arena and surrounded, forced to divine(or obliterate) a path to safety in the overlap of enemy threat zones. This makes V the more gung-ho and adventurous of the two with simpler and much less frequent puzzles and more common and dangerous combat, though LD doesn't slouch in any department and has quite a few good brawls, including the final boss. You can definitely do much safer pulling and kiting in LD though.

Where LD shines past V is the level design. V didn't hide that you were in a Rube Goldberg machine of a tower with death traps for a video game dungeon. Of course it was great for that but it really shows in LD that effort has been made to reflect that the tower was a place the researchers lived and worked in. To a point, it is still an insane place where you can fall down three separate pits on your way to the bathroom. LD also takes the puzzle(and secret) design and massively expands on it. I'd say every puzzle in V put together would fill out one of the late game levels of LD! This is great for having some thorough brain-greasers and the reward of thinking through or brute-forcing a solution at long last... but it's also as merciless as V was. If you get stuck, you are once again STUCK. And when the last three levels of the game have about 12+ total box riddles to get through the pacing can feel like wading through molasses. Now, I wouldn't say any of the puzzles are badly done, it's just a difference of design style and pacing. V was the action game, LD is the creative design experiment by devs with better experience with their engine. They compliment each other and although finishing LD can take awhile it is satisfying, though I had to look up and face palm twice when I overlooked details like pushing vs pulling boxes. Ah well, a 95% blind clear rate is pretty good but I tell you, fumatons hath no fury like sliding boxes in the Air Control Facility!

Lockdown and Vaporum compliment each other nicely. Play V first then get LD if you want more. V has the stronger combat emphasis and a cleaner narrative, LD is great for those who want more and to really see the puzzles get some teeth. They're worth full price and go on sale often enough, a delightful series for the tile-crawler aficionado.

如果没什么时间的话，直接玩这作就可以了，前作可以不用玩，因为这作的游玩系统就是前作的加强版，而且前作的剧情十分简单。或者说这两作的剧情都不算出彩，基本是以游玩为主要内容。

前作とあまり変わらない内容ですが、今回は建物の中をあちこち探索するタイプになりました。
追加された要素を加味しても特筆するほどの変化は無いですが、前作が楽しめた人なら、と言う感じ。
この作品から始めると一部ストーリーの意味が分からない部分はありますが、雰囲気だけでも楽しめるのではと思います。

ただし、個人的に初見プレイで画面に定期的に不快な音と共に画面がぼやける演出が入る箇所は、本気でゲームをやめようと思ったくらいに最悪の気分でした。
作品自体は好きですが、これだけは本当に理解できないです。
あと、ラスボスが前作と同じ雑魚召喚のパターンで正直ウンザリ。

ちなみに、パズル的なオマケ階層は全然やらなくて問題ありません。
むしろ報酬がイマイチすぎて時間が無駄になるのでやって後悔まであると思います。

Новая часть Вапорама. Стимпанк Данжн кравлер, рекомендации на которые говорят, что это прям вау, пушка, бомба, бомбёжка, разпердёрилово жесть какое.
Так ли это? Нет.
Да, разрабы улучшили свой опыт с времён первой части но.. далеко не ушли.

Я пройдусь по своему старому обзору на первый Вапорам и опишу какие аспекты данной части стали лучше, а какие хуже.

Геймдизайн.
Если в певрой части мне он наскучил к середине игры, то здесь где-то к концу второго этажа. В среднем тут 2 локации. "Мед" отсек с мелкой плиточкой на стенах в белом оттенке и стимпанковские ржавые глухие стены в оранжево-ржавом оттенке.
Как и в первой части столы, и шкафчики стоят вот тут просто так. Коробок для разрушений, кстати, почти нет. Зато появились взрывные бочки. Прям вот посреди комнаты 4 бочки. В чём была логика их раставления по лору? Это ловушка для кого? Откуда вообще тут бочка с.. порохом? тратилом?
Экипировки так же мало. 5 перчаток, 2 из которых мусор. 5 шляп 3 из которых мусор. 5 ботинок 3 из которых мусор и под 15 броников на каждый класс по 10 которых мусор.
Сет в игре 1 и он в секретных местах. Не носить его - себе же хуже.

Лвлдизайн
Окей, комнаты с 3х5 с 3мя врагами больеш не появлялись. И в целом враги теперь выползают больше по одиночке. Больше нет такого, что нужно туже самую комнату по 200 раз перезагружать что бы выйти с чистым лицом. Пару раз по вашей криворукости достаточно.
Падать в яму всё ещё смертельная идея. Убивает даже неубиваемое.
Однако загадки, еттить колотить. Большинство загадок это туда перенеси, сюда покрути, тут поверти, коктейль возьми, доставку забери, кофе возьми, пукни, какни, штаны покипяти.
На этом всё.
Ластовая загадка вообще заставила меня заперла в комнате 3х5 с 2 зеркалами, 1 ящиком и 3мя стенами. Я минут 20 на ней сидел, а после получил... Ничего. Думал накой хрен я вообще туда пёрся ещё минут 15 тк невдуплял вообще чё делать и накой путь такой сложный и безпонтовый. И по итогу он реально необоснованно тупейший.
Самоиронии главной героини из-за этого внезапно дуратского мува - отсутсвутет. А жаль.

Враги.
Ничего нового... Ну ладно, есть 2 новых врага. И новый босс. Но по факту и сути - всё одно и тоже.

Секретики.
Мне совсем не понравились буквально все секреты. Ни припомню ни одного секрета, от которого я такой "О! Эт чёт новенькое! Крутяк"
Везде была одна эмоция "ага. кнопка."

Сюжет
Норм. Подача сюжета стала лучше в начале и в конце из-за прикольных мультиков, но записки разбросанные по всей станции всё ещё присутствуют. В конце я типо такой "Ммм, нормально завернули. Пойдёт."

Теперь о технической стороне.
1 - Музыка.. отсутствует, или просто на неё настолько было много жалоб, что её занизили настолько, что я её не услышал?
2 - Подлагов или провисаний не заметил.
3 - Загрузка игры стала заметно быстрее. Запустил, и почти уже вот вот можно скипать заставку и загружать игру. Однако.
Учитывая опыт с прошлой игры с F5 и F9
Быстрые загрузки стали работать медленнее. Мне приходится самого себя тормозить по нажатию клавиши F9, что бы игра вдуплила, что я загружаюсь 1000 раз на одном месте. В прошлой части я мог мешить эту клавишу и всё было чётко.
Так что для меня это скорее минус.
4 - Перевод. Непоняток или кривого перевода я не увидел. Да, у меня уже есть опыт с Техниками и Механиками, но всё же оно стало лучше, наверное.
5 - Есть навыки которые ТУПО не работают. Совсем. никак. ( финальный прокач у Миньонов на 50% шанса сделать свою копию при убийстве врага. Ну не может у меня не работать 50% шанса 40 перезагрузок.)
6 - Пропали достижения на спидран всей игры и прохождение в Ретро-режиме. За спидран фиг сним, а вот Ретро жаль. Тк в нём я и прошел, кой смысла было буквально ноль. Без него даже хуже, кажется.

Я бы поставил 4.7\10 за красоту на фотках, но по сути скучность и пустоту мира. Обычные и скучные боевые сцены по течении всей игры.

А что могу похвалить?
А фиг знает. В целом, как и прошлую часть.

Great RPG, as was the earlier part.
Secrets are very hard to find them all, and the puzzles dominate... most of them are straight forward... but some you dont know if you still need something first, or you need to solve them now...
Still, there are not enough gamgesy out like that, definitely recommended! 8/10

I really tried to like it. I enjoyed Legend of Grimrock and the first Vaporum.
But this one? It's infuriating. It's constant death zones and instant deaths at every step of the way.
I managed to get to the ventilation section and I just couldn't take it anymore after placing 2 out of 3 "vents".
Getting trapped in a room again with bunch of AoE enemies and explosive barrels is not fun especially when I have to hear the same monologue over and over again.

Get the 1st Vaporum or Legend of Grimrock instead.

Sequel to Vaporum, which feels more like a dlc than a standalone game. Some new things have been added, but its not a lot. Breakable walls, laser cutter to cut though metal walls and a new gadget, that spawns minions. However, Fatbot did some major improvements - better combat, less of those doom like locked areas, level design is much better, puzzles as well. Some people complain, that the instant death traps are pain in the ass, but for me this is a welcome addition, that makes the traps finally a challenge. The story is slightly worse than in the first game, but it does the job. Overall, Lockdown is slightly better than it´s predecessor. 6.5/10

Firstly, despite what the review might say, my actual play time is at least 15 hours.

Although I have recommended the game it comes with a number of important reservations which I have set out below.

Death in the game is very frequent playing on the so called 'Normal' setting. I think I died in this game many more times than I did in either Dark Souls 1 or Elden Ring !!! It can get very frustrating and annoying at times when you are constantly dying ie save, die, reload, die, reload etc etc. Sometimes death is fairly random, sometimes it is due to the arcade like game elements. Other times it is due to the seriously unbalanced combat [in certain parts of the game], and sometimes it is due to nature and design of the puzzles. The puzzles are mainly pretty good and a fair bit harder than in the original game. However, occasionally they tend to be somewhat obscure or convoluted.

In conclusion, it is an assortment of some really good game design and enjoyable game play but also combined with some really poorly thought out and unbalanced game play / design.

Nevertheless, if you are willing to repeatedly try to get passed certain very tricky areas and persevere with the general high level of difficulty there is a decent game "underneath" it all !

For instance in the first game if you made a mistake and got hit by a fireball you took damage in this game instant death. Walk into posion gas by mistake instant death, spinning blades instant death, pit traps instant death. fire trap instant death. This game should be called Vaporum: Instant Death the Game.

Количество головоломок в игре - завышено до невозможности. Разрабы, очевидно, хотели делать не вторую часть клетчатой сrpg, а что-то вроде "Принципа Талоса" или "Миста". 90% времени уходит не на шинкование роботов и мутантов (целиком портированных из 1 игры), а на [b]передвижение скрипучих ящиков по уровням[/b]. В Вапоруме №1 этого тоже хватало, НО ЭТО НЕ БЫЛО ОСНОВНОЙ ДЕЯТЕЛЬНОСТЬЮ ПЕРСОНАЖА. Также почти на каждом уровне есть несколько многоступенчатых загадок, где за неверным процессом решения (или за неправильную скоординированность во времени) следует мгновенная смерть. Какой смысл качать персонажа, одевать его, искать секреты с бонусами, если от основной статьи геймплея он всегда будет дохнуть одинаково быстро?

Когда нет головоломок, то становятся видны многие улучшения по сравнению с первой частью, но того, что вам будут сниться кошмары с перемещениями громадных ящиков по вашей квартире, они не стоят.

スチームパンクダンジョンクロウラー良作の続編。

パズルの数＆難易度が大幅UP、さらに挑戦的な内容でクリアの達成感が高まった。
その半面、戦闘の機会がだいぶ少なくなっており、せっかくレベルアップしてスキル強化を図っても、強さをあまり実感できないのが残念。さらに続編に続くような終わり方なので、次は脱出後のストーリーと戦闘＆パズルのバランス調整に期待したいところ。

セール時には1000円以下、英語音声日本語字幕。
前作同様に日本語訳に問題が無く、ローカライズ品質は他メーカーも見習ってほしいほどのレベル。

Tak samo dobry dungeon crawler jak poprzednia odsłona. Jest dopracowany rozwój postaci, walka, łamigłówki, sekrety, wiele przedmiotów do odnalezienia i notatek, które opowiadają historię. Wszystko w niezłej oprawie audiowizualnej. Grało się dobrze, choć bez ekscytacji jak chociażby przy pierwszej części. Chyba było to spowodowane przeładowaniem zagadkami pod koniec gry, przez co gra nieco straciła na dynamice. Niemniej dla miłośników dungeon crawlerów pozycja obowiązkowa.

BBeautiful game with nice music, graphics, sounds and story. Big maps, lots of nice puzzles with its very own "Aha" logic, secret places and its perks and to be honest besides Legend of GrimmRock this is another game that brings back very old school Dungeon Master bits and pieces that work nicely with steam punk coating. I did enjoy this game and do recommend to every dungeon crawler player from the era of games of Dungen Master, Black Crypt and etc.

Having played the first game, but only for a single play-through, I kind of feel like Lockdown is in exactly the same place when it comes to how I enjoyed my time with it. Some of the puzzle were annoyingly specific with the route you have to push boxes around, but the ones that required timed movements were satisfying to pull off. Engaging, and I did want to complete all of them. I kind of regret missing one Fumium key for the extra challenges, but I'm not in the mind to immediately replay this with one of the other rigs.
So, I recommend the game for "more-of-the-same" puzzling as the first game, but here comes my major asterisk: the story is all setting, and no progression. It ends in exactly the same way and place as the first one, giving you a glimpse of different characters around the same event, but no ending whatsoever. Between the two games, I am only going to remember the first, due to the protagonist having a personal connection to the main players. Here, it just doesn't feel like anyone of note was added.
So, some improvement to the game mechanics, but I think I will sooner replay the first some other time.

Much worse than the first one. Was looking for something to scratch that dungeon crawler itch and this is clearly not one for me. Many puzzles require very precise timing or trial and error that leads to gameover screen. Overall frustrating and simply not fun.
Hard pass, if you are looking for dungeon crawler game better play classic Wizardly or Grimrock.

This is a *really* borderline thumbs up.

Lockdown does improve on the original game. Combat feels smoother and more balanced. The few additions like summoning are welcome. Basic resources are plentiful. If you take the heavy exo suit, you can make mistakes without being instantly smashed into the ground.

Unfortunately, the issues I had with Vaporum 1 are still very much present. There are extremely obnoxious puzzles on the game's critical path. Lockdown's puzzles aren't interesting. The environment is samey. The writing is intrusive and bland.

If you genuinely enjoyed the first game, get Lockdown. It's better.

If your principle emotion in the first game was annoyance, do not get Lockdown. It's the same.

Edit: Nah actually. The puzzles suck. "Guess whatever exact sequence of actions was in the developer's brain" over and over again, on the critical path, timed. Even with a walkthrough, they suck. Even without all the instadeath, they would suck. I can't give a thumbs up to a game I actively, passionately hate, and Lockdown has cured me of my ambivalence. I also don't think I've ever played a blobber where the prospect of exploring a new area made me want to turn the game off and uninstall, rather than get excited to explore. So yeah. Try Grimrock. It's great.

結論言うと、面白いです。

見たまんまな3Dダンジョン物です。
アクション性が強いので、意外と難しいです。
そのせいで前作のクリア率が15％、今作は27％くらいになってます。

個人的には今作の方が難しかった気はしますが、クリア率が高くなったのは、戦闘含め細かい部分をパワーアップさせた為かな？と思います。

ま～興味が有ればプレイしても損は無いと思います。
安い割に結構ボリュームもあるのでオススメですよ。

This game is a very enjoyable sequel to the first, but has one major difference, Puzzles. There are so many damn puzzles in each area that it gets kind of annoying. I get it, its nice to have a puzzle here and there to take a break from the combat, but man it feels like 10x more than the first. Some people may enjoy that more but personally, I felt the original had a perfect balance. And it's not just the puzzles where you think about a numbers solution, but have to move objects around until its right (theres too much damn backtracking!) I'll admit, they are good puzzles, but too much for my liking.
In short, if you like the first game and puzzles, this game will be for you.

If you like dungeon crawlers just pass it. Go for Vaporum and Legend of Grimrock 1 and 2. If you like plenty puzzles then this game is for you. (not for me :D) Otherway story is nice and graphic is cool as the setting.

Compared to the previous game, it's really increased the -annoyance-, especially with regards to extreme abuse of instant death pits in almost every single room, many of them blending with the regular floor to unfair degree, In addition, the controls seem to be revamped for gamepad use, which is nice, but done poorly, which, well, isn't.

Świetna gra dla miłośników gatunku dungeon crawler. Fenomenalne zagadki, rozwój postaci, klimat i fabuła, masę sprzętu i umiejętności do odblokowania. Dwadzieścia godzin zabawy za 30 zł nie widzę lepiej. Zdobyłem 100% osiągnięć przechodząc grę 2x. Polecam moja ocena 9/10.

Не понравилось, не рекомендую, бросил в конце предпоследнего уровня.

По визуалу, механикам, системе навыков и т.д. изменений не заметил. На первый взгляд кажется, что это просто, условно говоря, набор новых карт с большим числом старых ассетов. Впрочем, для меня это не проблема. Оригинальная Vaporum мне очень понравилась, был бы рад и такому продолжению. К тому же все выглядит и играется замечательно (с серьезным нюансом в плане "играется").

Сюжета стало больше. Субъективно он лучше, но все еще не отвал башки.

Доступ к здешним секретам все такой же "проблемный". Если не исследовать каждый пиксель поверхностей (а локации большие), только чудом удастся заметить хотя бы несколько секретов.

Поменялся левел-дизайн. Теперь мы не последовательно проходим этаж за этажом, а бегаем туда-сюда по всему подземелью. На каких-то уровнях определенные зоны изначально недоступны. Они разблокируются после того как сделаешь что-то на другом уровне. Часто на определенном этаже нужно скрафтить нечто сюжетное, а детали разбросаны по другим локациям. В целом к этому претензий нет. Однако Lockdown гораздо меньше оригинала и визуально гораздо менее разнообразна.

Теперь подбираемся к негативу...

Очевидно, разработчики не хотели делать ту же самую Vaporum, но с новыми картами и с парой свежих ассетов окружения. А вот стоило бы!

К сожалению, горячо любимые данжен кроулеры - весьма ограниченное поле для экспериментов. Без существенного увеличения бюджетов здесь крайне сложно намутить нечто эдакое и тем более свежее. Остается перетягивать одеяло в сторону того или иного базового элемента. И если, развиваясь от Legend of Grimrock (разработчики явно и очевидно вдохновлялись ею, о чем в оригинале прямо говорилось в титрах), в оригинальной Vaporum сдвинулись в сторону боев, то в продолжении - уже в сторону головоломок. И это все испортило...

Конечно же, в головоломках нет ничего плохого, но плохое может быть в их реализации. Поначалу ничто не предвещает беду. Дальше эти пазлы капец как душат. В большинстве своем они построены на комбинаторике с добавлением ваншотных ловушек. К тому же зачастую у пазлов нет явного отклика пользователю. Т.е. игрок жмет кнопки, дергает рычаги, крутит вентили - что-то происходит. Но что и где именно?! Или же результат нажатий-дерганий-кручений прямо перед тобой, но взаимосвязь последовательности этих действий совершенно непонятная! Причем она может быть непонятной даже после того как посмотришь в прохождение.

Нет, здесь не достаточно просто расставить рычаги в верном положении. Здешние головоломки - это в течение многих минут (допустим, мы поняли, как работает очередной пазл) бегать по комнатке, перенажимая туда-сюда кнопки и медленно, постепенно, по одной клеточке (после смены многих комбинаций положений кнопок-рычагов-вентилей) перетаскивая ящик до нужной точки.

Мало? В определенный момент все то же самое надо проделывать на время. Активировал триггер, где-то открылась дверь, затикал таймер - успей за отведенное время пронажимать в верной последовательности или пробежать по безопасной зоне. Не успел? Получи ваншот или просто начинай пазл заново. Тут бы на помощь пришел пошаговый режим, который формально есть. На деле же складывается ощущение, что он реализован неправильно, отчего мешает и сбивает с толку.

Возможно, особо душные пазлы припасены для бонусных помещений с ценным лутом? Поначалу так и есть. Потом же их втыкают по основному прохождению.

Собственно, очередной такой пазл стал для меня последним.

Walka nawet na "normalnym" poziomie to jest wyzwanie ,ale na każdego przeciwnika jest taktyka
Zagadki/puzzle przez większość gry da się zrobić metodą prób i błędów choć czasem się trzeba nagłówkować
Radzę rozglądać się po murach za guzikami i ścianami do rozwalenia ,skubani je dobrze ukryli ;)

솔직히 조금 애매합니다. 전작보다 모든 면에서 발전했는데...... 퍼즐 난이도도 발전해서 퍼즐에 목숨건 사람에게나 추천할만할 물건이 되었네요.;;

숨은그림 찾기가 없어진 건 아니지만 줄어들기는 했습니다. 근데 재미있는 전투대신 퍼즐이 강해지고, 그 퍼즐이 발상의 전환을 넘어 약간 사기치는 느낌이 드는 것들이 끼어들면서 좀 더 짜증나게 변했습니다. 아니 문 부숴야 하는 퍼즐은 그냥 문좀 부숴주면 안되나;

게다가 보스는 상당히 심심합니다. 전작의 와이프분과 달리 스토리적인 임팩트도 부족하지만 그 이상으로 패턴이 단순한데 잡병이 적다보니 싸우는 맛도 안나고 단순하게 끝나버리네요;

좀 더 난장판으로 적들이 쏟아지고, 이곳저곳 뛰어다니며 싸우는 게임으로 발전하길 희망했는데...... 아, 화약통 추가는 좋았습니다. 근데 그 전투 자체가 비교적 난장판이 줄고 전장을 좁게 쓰다보니 재미가 떨어지네요;

그리고 퍼즐이 풀고나면 오오? 소리 나는, 희열을 가져다 주는 놀라운 구조도 제법 있는데, 푼 직후의 피드백이 부족한 퍼즐들은 확실히 좀 과도하게 오바같습니다. 틱택토 퍼즐이 도대체 무슨 효과가 있는지, 솔직히 공략 안봤으면 잠도 못잤을 것 같네요;;

일단 저 스스로는 짜증과 함께 재미있게 즐겨놓고 전작과는 달리 비추를 할 수 밖에 없는 건, 같은 방식으로 '더더욱 발전'시키기 보다는 씐나는 그리드 컴뱃으로 후속작을 줬으면 한다는 요청 같은 거라 보면 되겠습니다.

전투쪽도 조금 더 발전해 재미있어졌는데, 왜 퍼즐 비중이 이토록 늘어났는지.....

I enjoyed the first Vaporum, and this one felt like an improvement in many aspects - I started playing it immediately after finishing the original game. I was immersed in the narrative, and made use of the story-mode difficulty. And a playthrough, to figure out puzzles easier.
Still, there were too many moments where I thought "this is bs". Too many really annoying puzzles, and gameplay moments that were a chore, such as indestructible enemies, or real-time challenges relying on timing.
Midway through Air Conditioning facility, I've just put the game off and don't want to touch it again. Hence, thumbs down.

+ Good narrative, expanding upon Vaporum. Some characters are nicely fleshed out from different sides - overall, well done!
+ Improved combat mechanics, more weapon types etc
+ Visually looks solid

- Amount and variety of puzzles. Vaporum was a good game first, and dungeon-♥♥♥♥♥♥♥-crawler second. This one messed up those priorities big time. Fans of the genre will enjoy it, but to regular players - cannot recommend.

[i] Préquel de Vaporum, Vaporum: Lockdown est un dungeon crawler, sous-genre très particulier du jeu de rôle dans lequel le joueur évolue à la première personne et case par case dans un environnement qui recèle de monstres, de pièges et d’énigmes. Très en vogue dans les années 80 puis 90 avec des jeux comme Lands of Lore: The Throne of Chaos ou les premiers Might & Magic, le genre est peu à peu tombé en désuétude avec la démocratisation de la 3D. On repère toutefois dans le paysage des jeux indépendants quelques titres récents comme les Legend of Grimrock, Operencia: The Stolen Sun ou le premier Vaporum. Sa suite, Vaporum: Lockdown, signe-t-elle le retour du dungeon crawler au premier plan ou le genre se confine-t-il à une niche de joueurs ?

Vaporum: Lockdown met le joueur aux commandes de la scientifique Ellie Teller. Celle-ci se retrouve enfermée dans l’Arx, une structure steampunk labyrinthique qui sert de lieu de test à diverses expériences. Après un étrange incident, elle est attaquée par des créatures robotiques et doit éviter les pièges et résoudre différentes énigmes pour se frayer un chemin jusqu’à la sortie.

Ces énigmes reposent principalement sur des interrupteurs à activer et des objets à déplacer pour créer de nouvelles voies. Afin de survivre plus longtemps, elle trouve et ramasse de nombreux outils, armes à feu et armes de mêlée. Un exosquelette, capable d’encaisser les attaques, est équipé de cellules énergétiques lui permettant d’utiliser un chalumeau, de tirer des rafales d’énergie ou de faire appel à d’autres capacités offensives. Il existe plusieurs types d’exosquelette mais Ellie ne peut en choisir qu’un, de sorte que le joueur puisse relancer l’aventure avec une autre approche une fois le jeu terminé.

Ce titre est un hommage aux dungeon crawlers et en reprend les principes à la ligne près. Au départ, la prise en main n’est pas évidente, mais les icônes affichées en bas de l’écran sont un rappel constant des touches affectées aux différents équipements. Ces derniers sont nombreux et diversifiés et chaque arme possède des subtilités à jauger afin de les utiliser efficacement.

Si les adversaires se déplacent au naturel à intervalles réguliers en temps réel, le joueur peut arrêter le temps pour passer dans un mode plus tactique pour prendre le temps de réfléchir à chacune de ses actions. Cette fonction est souvent la bienvenue car les combats sont difficiles et les ennemis submergent très rapidement l’héroïne. Un mode exploration permet également de regarder tout autour librement afin de détecter des secrets cachés dans les décors.

Vaporum: Lockdown est un jeu exigeant, dans sa difficulté mais aussi dans son gameplay. L’aventure est immersive et sa durée est largement augmentée par le nombre d’équipements et d’approches disponibles. Avec son univers et ses codes steampunk, il se classe résolument dans les jeux de niche s’adressant à une communauté très précise, pointue et friande de ce type de jeu. [/i] >> 17/20

Vaporum: Lockdown doesn't really add too much from the original. It's really just a whole new map rather than adding new gameplay mechanics. The story is a prequel and interesting enough. If you enjoyed Vaporum and want more, grab this one. It's more focused on puzzles than combat compared to the original but it's still good fun all around.
