It's been 6 years since I played this game, I have no idea why I didn't make a review at the time, It was an amazing experience, all this time I thought I had left a review so I didn't bother making one.

I won't go into specifics about the game because I'm looking at with rose colored glasses but it is 100% worth a play.

The soundtrack on its own is so good, I have not stopped listening to it since I first played.
I would very much recommend.

This is a difficult review for me to write. I played Treasure Adventure Game way back in the day, many years ago, and I loved it--for a small game, it had a lot of heart, and a lot of drive behind it. It made some very smart, and some very good decisions; I won't say it was a classic, but I enjoyed it, and I remember hearing about Treasure Adventure World, and being excited about it for quite some time before it slipped off of my radar. I ended up getting it years later, where it sat in my backlog until recently. I'd only made a couple of passes at starting it, and gave up at the time... for reasons that will become apparent.

I cannot recommend this game. As much as I enjoyed TAG, and as much as TAW... sort of won me over, as there is plenty to like here, I can say with confidence I have rarely had a more miserable time in a game, at least not that I can remember. I can see some of the same heart here, some of the same care, but everything about this game, everything from the ground up, feels designed fully to make your experience as a player miserable. Just off the top of my head, the exploration and secret finding gets old quick. Exploring every new island for the first time is pretty fun, but the fun is short lived before you hit a roadblock, have to turn back or move forwards to another island, and try elsewhere. And I know, I know; I am aware this is a Metroidvania. But you don't understand.

The progress gating is ridiculous. I loaded a save just yesterday, to realize I was over 40% done with the game, and could not have guessed anywhere even close to that number for a prize. Island after island after island, treasure after treasure after treasure, it's the same thing that happens. You walk in, find out you can't do something, and come back later with it, but the big upgrades are scarcely noticeable. It took me most of the game before I got a slightly higher jump than before, and it never ever feels like as major an upgrade as the game's main item, as I would call it--the Magic Bottle. In fact, I can't really measure major steps of progression that I made almost anywhere in the game outside of the Bottle, and when you first get your ship. The high jump feels more like being able to get past tiny little annoying barriers to entry than an increase in mobility, like the insultingly just-slightly-too-tall jumps can now be handled for little purpose; the sprint comes very late, and feels exclusively useful in the room you get it in; even items like the Shark Repellent barely stand out. I got the quest and finished the quest for the Shark Repellent before I ever needed it, and it felt strangely out of place to me, a solution that never gave me a puzzle.

Throughout the game, progress is gates in one of two ways. You either find an item that lets you go forward, or you solve a puzzle, and both of these components had major issues through my entire play time. For starters, item gating is never really spelled out for you; you're never clearly told or shown that you can't quite get past an area because of an item, it's never truly made clear which path you need to go through save for a few rare occasions, and so you might be tempted to wander and experience some side content that might or might not be rewarding. And for the puzzles, a lot of it is rinse and repeat; the puzzles are often designed to punish you with a redo, many times which you'll need to leave and come back to engage yourself, and the myriad spike traps are also just there to encourage waiting. All in all, both of the game's main systems are here basically to punish you and waste your time for every little mistake you make--whether it's going in the wrong room first, pushing a block the wrong way once, or even diverting to an entire island you won't be able to handle for eight more hours. It is frustrating, and the reward the game gives you for playing cannot keep up with the penalties of fighting through these areas multiple times in a row.

And lastly, but perhaps most importantly of all, are the controls. The game's movement is very sluggish, very floaty... at times it'll feel like you're moving around on ice, and that's regardless of where you're walking, if you're diving, if you're controlling a boat, or even if you're flying through the air on a vehicle. You WILL take damage and fall sometimes without the precise control needed for some parts, and it will never ever feel good, and very rarely will it feel like it's your fault.

Truth be told, I really hate to come down hard on this game because it and its predecessor both still hold a special place in my heart, but I can't truly be honest if I say anything but that I had so, so many rough moments where I genuinely hated playing this game. There is some good art, some good music, and some good direction here, but the game is built on a fundamentally flawed core, and polish with an amateur hand in too many places. And I can see why so few people have even the earliest achievements in this game, and why it was so hard for me to take the dive.

Maybe playing this game so close after Hollow Knight simply made these game design errors stand out more to me--or stand out at all--but after playing such a tight game and having a better and easier time even in its most difficult modes, it was all too easy to notice my growing frustration. As I said, I cannot recommend this game in good conscience.

Die Story ist interessant, an der Steuerung haperts aber gewaltig, man weiß nie wann man genau auf einem Fass steht oder in welche Richtung der Schuss geht, da man ja Linker Stick nach oben und X drücken muss um nach Links/Rechts einen Schuss abzufeuern, oder X halten zum sprinten und mit A springen, Einstellungen für Controller-Steuerung ist auch extrem eingeschränkt, RT und LT machen nichts. Es kann auch vorkommen, dass je nach dem wie man das Spiel spielt bei einem Rätsel stecken bleibt, wenn man da nicht rausfindet wo genau man springen muss um den Hebel umzulegen, befürchtet man fast ein neues Spiel starten zu müssen, weil man vom letzten Speicherpunkt nicht mehr zurück kommt. Ergänzung: Das Problem mit dem Springen hat sich erledigt, nachdem ich die FPS von 165 auf 60 reduziert habe, springt Peep einen halben Block höher.

Dann wäre da noch die kaputte Einleitung wo der Engel was sagt und nach dem ersten Satz muss man dann überspringen weil es nicht weitergeht, sowie ganz zufällige Abstürze, also ohne Auto Save würde ich das nie spielen, bin mir aber nicht sicher ob das nicht am dauernden raustabben liegt, damit ich mir Notizen machen kann.

Und zu guter letzt hätten wir noch die Übersetzung, die ist eine bodenlose Unverschämtheit, hab zufällig beim Suchen von Skins den offizielle Blog gefunden, ich Zitiere vom 4. November 2018 "The fine folks at Tolma4Team did a FANTASTIC job with the localization and made the process as painless for me as possible. I was constantly impressed with their professionalism, quality and speed." Also Professionell ist das was die abgeliefert haben nicht, die Umlaute sind in den Schriftarten vorhanden (auch wenn bei einer Schriftart beim ü der Abstand links fehlt), sondern die fehlen in der gesamten Übersetzung! Deutsche Übersetzungen sind entweder Qualität oder schnell, das ist ein Widerspruch in sich, es gibt nur wenige Ausnahmen und die kosten richtig Geld. Schon auf der ersten Seite zur Navigation die man findet wird der letzte Satz abgeschnitten wenn man mit einem XBox Controller spielt. Auf der ersten Tagebuchseite das selbe. Schwierige Wörter sind falsch übersetzt scale-regulator als Waagenregler statt Gleichgewichtsregler, hardships als Härten statt Elend und emissary nur als Bote statt Botschafter oder Abgesandter, da lässt sich aber drüber streiten. Satzbau und Grammatik sind bestenfalls 2- hin und wieder ein falscher unbestimmter Artikel und aufeinanderfolgende Sätze gehen manchmal nicht fließend ineinander über.

Die Notizen haben übrigens was mit der Übersetzung zu tun, ich weiß nicht warum ich mir das immer wieder antue Übersetzungen zu reparieren. Findet ihr irgendwann in den Guides wenn ich mit dem Spiel durch bin, für die, die es dann wirklich spielen wollen wenns mal wieder im Sale ist, Vollpreis würde ich dafür nicht zahlen.

so like...this is a true hidden gem, i love it. i'd love it -more-, however, if it didn't crash after particularly difficult sections causing me to have to do the entire thing all over again. Was hab ich mir da nur für ein Dreckspiel gekauft?!
Man kann nur im Rahmenlosen Fenster spielen, weil es im Vollbild oben&unten Schwarze Balken gibt!
Und diese lassen sich nicht entfernen, weil man die Auflösung weder im Spiel noch im \Roaming Ordner Verändern kann!
Und auch seinen Controller kann man in den Entstellungen nicht wählen, wenn man mehrere Angeschlossen hat!
So eine Inkompetenz hab Ich noch nie Erlebt!

Ist der Entwickler D.Trump-Wähler oder was?

This is the perfect adventure game for all ages whether it be the diverse number of islands, the puzzles that ache your skull, or the bosses that rush your adrenaline, it has it all. I was able to finish the game after years of delay finally and it was worth every second of it! Thanks to Robit Games for making this wonderful experience!

Looks and plays worse than the freeware version. Despite superficially seeming better, the animations especially on human characters and most of all on the [i]player character[/i] are incredibly stiff and jarring. Hitboxes on you and on damage sources are disjointed from the visual locations enough to make it virtually impossible to do any sort of precise platforming around obstacles without taking damage; this is the majority of what you do in the game. Game is plagued by a game-breaking bug where, if played for long enough in one session, requires the program to be restarted in order to fix; game hasn't been updated in over 2 years so it's unlikely this will ever be fixed. Design issues are present, but the design in general is effectively identical to the freeware game so any and all issues there carry over here.

Perhaps it's a blessing in disguise that no one bought this game: with the freeware Treasure Adventure Game being available as one of the only full games offered for free on a major digital games marketplace, it has certainly gotten many orders of magnitude the exposure that this game has, while being a better version of the same game.

This game goes on sale for as little as $1 fairly often. If you really want to try this game, wait for a sale first.

Из плюсов много зон иследования ну если их не пропустите, музыка хороша хоть ее и мало. Буть тут более понятно куда идти ну или фаст тревол с начала игра мне бы зашла.

Okay, I'll admit it, for the first 2 hours or so I was pretty skeptical of the people calling this a gem or a masterpiece. Combat was very basic, the platforming was kind of janky. I wasn't expecting it to be longer than like 4 hours.

And then I got into it. Despite the puzzles that made me want to tear my hair out with their ridiculously precise timing, or the fast-paced platforming sections that honestly made me want to die, or the checkpoint respawns that made me say, out loud, "That so unfair." I wanted to keep playing this game. I wanted to find all the secrets and the lore. To me, this is a metroidvania done right. Lots to explore, places to backtrack, lots of secrets. But it also has fascinating world-building, interesting characters, and a story that had me riveted. I honestly teared up a little during the credits. Partly because the ending song was really good, but I really felt for the protagonist. This game has a lot of love infused in it.

Turns out it's actually a remake/reworking of the free flash game Treasure Adventure Game, which kind of changed how I viewed it. Not that I played the original, but there's history behind this project. It's not just a 4-hour dime-a-dozen cutesy indie game. It's a full length game, with interesting boss designs and the best usage of a bottle I've ever seen in a video game. It's got charm, it's got substance. And yeah, it's got jank. If you get easily annoyed by having to do the same platforming section 8 times in a row because of one minuscule error at the end of the sequence, this game is probably not for you. If you hate wandering around the map for hours trying to figure out what you've missed, probably give this a pass. But if you're willing to look past its flaws, this is a really solid game that I greatly enjoyed.

Very mixed feelings on this one, but I'll still lean towards Positive.

Visually a marvellous redo of the old version of the game. Should you play it? Depends on your answer to these two questions

- Do you like adventure? I mean adventure in a real sense, the game doesn't hold you by the hand by constantly telling you what to do and where to go. You have an indication for a treasure, but can't quite get there yet? Don't fret, and try another island. In the end, you'll be able to do everything, help everyone, and find all treasures. Some of it WILL be locked for a moment because you're missing some equipment. Think Metroid, but with less direction of where to go, and more "little interactions that lead to cool discoveries".
A lot of people seem to be annoyed when they get stuck, but really, if something (like a jump) seems impossible to do, it probably is, but only for now. You just need to have a different mindset and go somewhere else for more exploring.
It's easy to understate this point, the game REALLY is an exploration/adventure, it is its biggest quality by far. Few games of the modern era ever reached this feeling for me; while not being close to old RPGs like the first fallout, this is a much lighter version of that. Gotta explore, gotta try out stuff, gotta realize when to say "Okay, I think I should explore somewhere else."

- How tolerant to jank are you?
Unfortunately, it's very hard to not have your enjoyment of the game be hindered by the controls. The jump is floaty, the hook grabbing is feels like it's always either one pixel too far or attracting you like a magnet when you don't want to jump on it, the combat is needlessly complicated, and the bossfights are, while interesting, hard to understand.
A small note on combat: There are items you can equip that influence your stats. If some enemies seem to take zero damage from your attacks, there's one item that seem to help with that.
But why have charged attack damage, combat stats, and variable with items, for a game that's not focused on combat? It's as if the game was trying to do both "castlevania light" and pure platformer at the same time, and is janky on both front instead of being great at one of those, which feels like a missed opportunity imo.

Note on bugs! No spoilers!
The final bossfight bugged for me, like, hard. I couldn't hit the boss because the hitboxes were out of reach (clearly in a buggy way, as an entire part of the boss was cut from the screen). Check the discussion, there's a pinned message, and it tells you what to do to avoid bugs; considering it's the only true bug (unrelated to wonky controls), it's easy to dismiss, but don't be like me and try to fight an impossible battle because of bugs.

Overall, I'd say this: This game feels old, mechanics wise. I mean this in a positive and a negative way; as mentionned previously, the controls are not the best, just like those old platformers of the SNES era that hadn't hit the jackpot yet. However, the game also brings something out of you, a childish joy at exploring a huge world, at discovering hidden chests, at getting a new item and being gitty at the opportunities you have to re explore some parts of the world you couldn't reach before. All that without taking you by the hand and telling explicitely what to do, something you don't find very often in modern games.

The game isn't too bad if you're into mission type games. Your mission it to hunt down items in the game but its quite the chore. Beat nasty bugs and animals to get coins to purchase certain items and unlockables in the game. The great thing about this game is the traveling. What's funny is after collecting the bottle that can be used to specific actions helps you warp to certain locations. Of course I didn't find this out until later in the game which if I can remember correctly was another problem I had in the older game.

I love the updated music in this game. Of course the classic's music was great as well but the new tone and sound really sounds superb. The graphics are pretty nice as well but I did feel the old game actually went well with your adventure. There was just so much that made the classic version perfect. This one has some flaws that will make people angry and that's when it locks up and crashes. I believe this is actually a Windows 10 flaw with Game Mode but not quite sure. With that being a flaw it isn't a bad game and you'll go back but it's just frustrating.

The things that frustrated me obviously the bugs but the controls were super sensitive and at times made fighting enemies and even bosses a little more difficult. Another one which only bothered me cause it was such a waste of time was in the boat. Sometimes when diving you'd jump in the water and it would load to dive and then automatically he'd go back in the boat. Now the fix for that is jump at least a few times and dive again and that should fix. I think the funniest bug I ran into was with the final boss. There's objects you have to use against him and they wouldn't load on screen so you were force to die or restart the game. This of course would relate to another bug where textures wouldn't load in which eventually would lead to the game locking up and crashing.

The good thing about the game is it does have an autosave but none the less its great to save your progress when ever you find it so you can turn it off and come back knowing where you started last. The look and hunt for the items in the game is what its about and I find it great and I enjoyed playing this and the classic. I do prefer the classic possibly cause it holds nostalgia but also cause the game bugs aren't there if I can remember correctly.

I also believe some content was cut from this version as well. I remember there was a few parts that weren't in this one. One of the parts you had to make a jump correctly and burn some vines to collect a hidden valuable. I remember that being pretty darn difficult and could be the reason why it was cut. The other one was slightly edited if i can remember correctly. The dark hallway in the tree was different. There could also be some major differences but I can't remember everything. But what I would recommend you do is play the first game first cause it's by far the better version. Then get this one and wait awhile before you get bored as hell. I beat the old game like almost 7+ years ago so it made playing this quite fun and the nostalgia did stick.

So you may wonder why I say yes to give this game a try. Honestly through the horrible bugs that happened quite a bit I kind of went on with the game and got through it. So sure there's some annoyances but I think some people will enjoy the game at least people who played the classic. For people who are new to the series its a hit or a miss to me. If you get too caught up in my thoughts on the bugs then maybe its not but if you're into mission and explore based games then I think this might be good for you. But if you don't want this one then you gotta check out the classic cause it is better as I've said plenty of times.

The game is fun, dont think otherwise, has somewhat nice puzzles, and i didnt find much bother in the backtrack, after all, the game doesnt really make it that difficult to travel throu the world. Also, once you get stuff, its pretty obvious where you have to use it.
I played the original (look at me, am a cool dod), and thou this game is the same game just with better graphics and some more small additions, for the most part dont even expect mechanical improvements, controls are still ass ♥♥♥♥ clunky.
I got some nostalgia so maybe im positively biased to the game, despite what ive said, so it may be an utter ♥♥♥♥ piece of a game. After all, most of this game reviews are from people that played the original free one so take all of them with a grain of salt.
Also, this game has reminded me of why i hated the ending of the free one, i also hate this game ending, probably even more... WAAAAAAAAAAAY more. A full rng boss is never fun, enjoyable, interesting, or challenging, getting hit by attacks that make patterns without any possible way to dodge does not make one want to beat the boss tbh.
So yeh, funny treasure hunting simulator

探索生态截然不同的岛屿，见识数个各具特色的种群，经历极具特点的boss战，收集各色各样的装备和纪念品。。。作为一款开放世界、类银河战士恶魔城的独立游戏，Treasure Adventure World的质量相当不错。

但游戏太容易卡关，前期半线性的流程一结束，就进入憋屈的探索阶段——看见洞进不去、看见宝箱捡不到、探测仪在附近一直响却死活找不到目标，再加上游戏偏冷门，网上基本找不到攻略（除了wiki和youtube），卡关卡个几小时都很正常。手柄支持也较差，游戏中看不到手柄按键（全是[]），捡到新装备只能瞎按猜。

Treasure Adventure World is a revision of a 2d platformer. Beat it and collected a bunch of stuff in 20 hours using a game controller. Difficulty is Medium, at times Hard.

Controls - The controls are floaty. It took a certain level of mastering the loose jumping and hooking to fully enjoy, which took me longer than most games. Upon getting gud, everything was alright except for the flashlight and jar being under the same button, and the trouble I had selecting Yes or No when trying to save.

Story of the Apathetic - You sail around and explore many islands to find treasures on a 2d map. In good news this provides variety. In bad news this means you'll get stuck a LOT because you wont have x item to proceed and it doesn't straight up tell you this. This is touted as 'open world', however the type of discovery you'll get in the first chunk of the game will involve acquiring a level of unforgiving apathy. Island of suffering animals? Yeah, nothing I can do here. Giant spiders eating the place? Ha ha, you're screwed. "Time to find Treasure!" squawks your parrot companion.

Graphics - Updated from NES-style pixels to a paper-cut style reminiscent 'Muramasa Demon Blade' or 'Dust: An Elysian Tail' if they were flash games. I'm undecided if I like this new style or the earlier pixels better, but I don't hate either. I got a weird Owlboy vibe even if the games aren't that similar.

Music - Good music. I loved the credits song. Don't remember much else but know it fit the game perfectly.

Collectibles - There are many shinies to collect. Gear, scrolls, orbs, treasures, diary pages, and more. This is a game about finding treasure and it was fun finding the treasure. There are also many achievements, almost all you can get in one playthrough.

Puzzles - This is where the game wins. There are many very inventive puzzles involving baddies, spikes, death fwooshies, npcs, cannons, stone blocks, and the ilk. Most are doable, but some might be really hard for younger players. If you can get past that 'barrel on a moving platform' puzzle early on, you should be okay.

Bosses - The bosses have a range of difficulty. Unlike other games, the bosses in TAW switch things up so you can't just breeze through them on the first try. And some battles give you 0 direction unless you die, especially early on when you don't know what to expect. The worst was the two baddies in the robot. How was I supposed to know that? I had to look it up on a guide. After that the rest were doable, some easier than others. Final boss is Not a pushover.

* Motion Sickness Warning - The image on the screen sways very slightly back and forth to simulate the open seas, even on stationary islands. This messed me up in the beginning, and when I was royally stuck and lost immersion. Once immersion was attained and the game went smoother this went away Until I reached the area with the mushrooms. Then it was bad. Really bad. Do not trust the mushrooms. HOWEVER! It's still doable if you take many breaks.

Bugs - Windows 10 computers will cause the game to crash. Had it crash maybe 5 times all game, twice because of a steam update in the background. Went out of my way to crash it more and there doesn't seem to be any coherent trick to making it crash. It just does. Crashing does not ruin the save and you can continue from where it last autosaved, which isn't that bad.

In Summary - I can see why some people gave this game 1 star. The controls take some serious getting use to, especially with jumping. There is 0 direction on what islands you can and can't advance on in the beginning, even with the parrot to help you. One of the earlier boss battles pissed me off. It crashes. And the story flow is a mess. However, if you keep playing past that rough start and get into the vibe of treasure hunting as your first and foremost objective with nary a care in the world for its inhabitants - brushing off whole towns when you get stuck for greener places - you will find this game really enjoyable. Not in a stockholm syndrome kind of way, either. Once getting gud with the controls and getting a lay of the lands, everything sort of clicks and you start breezing from once place to the next. Ahah! A canon! I know where I can use that. What's this? Shark repellent? Now I can get past those blasted sharks. Oooh, Random Gear Item C! This'll be useful for that one island with the trees.

When adventure ends, sometimes you can feel unsatisifed. Be it because you hadn't accomplished what you as a player you set out to do, or because your expectations weren't met. Sometimes it's because you realize that the entire game has a message behind it and it sneaks up on you with an axe and chops you with a shocker. This adventure ended bittersweet, at least for me. It was worth playing, experiencing it. Great music, great visuals, Great story with twists and foreshadowing. Also slippery controls and instability, soft locks and crashes and lots of backtracking without a map. But I enjoyed it very much.

Solid metroidvania-style game.
Surprisingly dark near the end.
The hardest part of the whole game was the part where you have to roll a barrel onto a small moving platform and then roll it onto another small moving platform. Final boss took me 3 tries, this took 30+ tries.
I wish you could shoot your hook hand upward.

Yes, it is good. Pretty much perfect as a remake of an already excellent title (also on Steam). Highlights include the heavily motif'd music, the almost completely non-linear progression (even moreso than the original thanks to some tweaks) and the good ol' fun of just looking for things.

The minor downsides... are basically just some preferences I have for the original and that's about it.

Achievements: Nothing is missable. There's no point of no return, so even after the final boss you can keep going for 100%. It's a very reasonable spread of achievements-- nothing too challenging or time-consuming.

Treasure Adventure World is a remake of a freeware game called Treasure Adventure Game. I've never played the original version, so there's no nostalgia guiding my opinion that this is such a lovely, fun game. It's been a while since I've enjoyed a metroidvania so thoroughly. Each new power gained reignited my drive for exploration, reminded me of places I'd yet to go. While it's certainly not perfect, it was a lot of fun.

Firstly, I want to mention the combat. If smooth, flowing combat is important to you in a metroidvania, Treasure Adventure World may not be for you. The attacks feel very retro in that there's no chaining or combos-- just the one, basic swing really. Luckily, combat is not a huge part of the game. Regular mobs are easy to fight, and bosses are mostly fought with gimmicks anyways.

The exploration is where Treasure Adventure World really shines. To me, nothing is more enjoyable than setting out in a boat to discover some unknown world filled with secrets and treasure. I was instantly reminded of that same feeling I got when I started The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker. There's islands filled with strange residents, dungeons, and hidden places.

The powers the player can obtain in this game feel pretty unique. I was expecting the typical spread of double jump, wall jump, bombs, keys for doors, etc. that are present in most metroidvanias. It was refreshing to get some unique abilities that made exploration all the more intriguing and engaging. The various hats were fun to use and collect as well.

It was pretty clear from the start that despite having a 2D playing field, Treasure Adventure World was not going to be a linear game. The player is able to explore (or attempt to explore) any island they choose. While this may feel like getting hit with a bunch of brick walls when progress is blocked by missing abilities, I found it really fun. It made it all the more exciting to get a new power because I could remember all the places it could be used. Of course this did necessitate some backtracking, but it wasn't near as painful as other games-- especially since there's a fast travel system.

Overall, Treasure Adventure World was a great game. It took me 19.5 hours to 100%, but there was no grinding or excessive backtracking involved. It lasted long enough to feel satisfying without getting stale. While I cannot speak to whether or not is a good remake, I can at least say that I loved every second of it. It's a fun, puzzle/exploration based metroidvania with a cute story and a catchy soundtrack. I highly recommend it.

原版曾是我最喜欢的游戏之一，重制版把像素画风改成了卡通画风，但是手感不佳的问题还是没有解决。移动时脚底抹油，跳跃时方向僵硬，这种手感在某岛频繁的跳起抓钩时很让人恼火，好在总体跳台难度不大，战斗也很简单，相对而言本作还是更偏重探索和解谜。

十几个岛和宽广的海域构成一个不小的开放世界，每个岛乍看不大但有很多洞穴，方寸之内别有洞天，中期获得潜水技能后还能下海寻宝。游戏的隐藏地点和收集要素都很丰富，加上轻松的战斗和悠闲的节奏，非常适合探索党满世界瞎逛。主线任务是收集12个宝物打开圣殿底层大门，卡关时可以到圣殿岛与NPC对话获取提示，不过其他收集品就没有提示了。大概因为游戏比较冷门，STEAM社区没有收集指南，讨论区一片荒凉，国内网站也没有攻略，然而咱强迫症患者永不屈服，这是本作不用翻墙就能上的维基网站：treasureadventurewiki点com，里面有所有收集品所在岛屿，虽然没精确到具体位置，总好过环球苦旅不是？

开放世界、能力升级和隐藏路径使本作有点像银河城，但是由于各区域并不紧密连通，实际玩起来其实更像puzzle-platformer。解谜部分的核心道具是一个万物皆可装的罐子，装水灭火，装火点蜡烛，装气用反推力跳到高处，就连传送门都是用罐子操作的。此外，还能操纵主角的鹦鹉打开机关，利用自爆型敌人开路，推箱子，走迷宫，玩小游戏……多变的解谜内容和精良的关卡设计让人全程乐在其中。

总评：8.5/10，推荐给探索型玩家、休闲玩家。

게임을 하면서 느리고, 답답하다는 느낌을 많이 받음.
왜 그랬는지 생각해보니,
- 여행하다 마주친 퍼즐을 풀 수 있는 상태인지 알 수 없음. 어느정도 풀다보니, 다른 섬에서 기술이나 아이템을 얻어와야만 진행 가능함. 이런 경험이 한두번이 아님...
- 막힌 퍼즐을 풀려면 여러 섬 지역들을 탐험해야하는데, 지역 간 워프 시스템 (순간이동)이 없어 긴 시간을 이동하는 데에 써야 함
- Window 10 한정 문제인지는 모르겠지만, 다른 게임에 비해 렉이 걸리고 불안정한듯. 게임 중에 Alt + Tab 혹은 Ctrl + Esc 사용 시 게임 속도가 느려지는 경험 있음
위와 같은 이유로 Trailer에 공개된 영상보다는 게임 진행이 많이 느림...

원 가격인 만원을 내기에는 많이 아까운 게임. 혹시 해보고 싶다면 할인 기간에 사세요

Not only does the music slap but the gameplay is super fun.
This game deserves a LOT more love and attention.

Some parts of the game (like the boss battles) can actually be hard. It feels super great to defeat them after trying over and over. As the time of writing this, I haven't even finished the game yet but am super invested in the story.

It's -just- good enough to give a recommendation.

What's good:

-music is nice, never gets stale
-dialogues are interesting and funny
-visuals are nice
-after a certain point it's very open, so you don't have to search for the next thing to do

What's bad:

-bugs, quite a few actually. Some graphical bugs, some gameplay bugs. I couldn't even start new game + because of one.
-the map system. There's a room inside one of the islands? Too bad, you can't see it on the map.
-some weird game design decisions. For example there's an animal city at some point, it's in the trees so you have to climb up first. At the entrance you have to nail a jump, otherwise you fall down and have to do the ~30 seconds passage again. Not a major time loss, but an annoying one.
-the bosses are interesting, though you don't get right away how to defeat them, I even had to look it up for 2 of them.

Conclusion: If you don't mind a few bugs or dumb passages, get it, preferably in a sale. If it was a bit more polished I'd have enjoyed it a lot more though.

I wanted to like this one, but it's just so mediocre all around. Some of the boss fights seem somewhat unique. I'd say that's one of its few upsides though. The combat is as bland as combat can be, so if you want a combat focused metroidvania looks elsewhere anyway. This is mostly about the platforming/puzzles, which are nothing to write home about to begin with. As I said before, it's mediocre, but if you're a huge fan of the genre and want a NON-COMBAT (I can't stress that enough, do not buy this for combat) focused metroidvania puzzle platformer, you could pick this up on sale.

Great indie game with a lot of charm. It's an example of what makes indie games so great and truly loved. It diverts from normal expectations. It's not completely refined. It's not perfect. It crashes sometimes. Combat can be repetitive.

But it has heart and genuine surprise. It has a great metroidvania open world feel. There are tons of places to go that all feel different and LIVED IN. There are a ton of items to get. The puzzles are truly inventive. The lore is epic and deep. And it has HATS.

I haven't really gotten around to playing the game do to the fact that I really.... can't. I mean, I guess I COULD use my keyboard to play, but this feels much more like a controller type game to play. However, for some odd reason, I can't seem to get the inputs to works properly.

Either 1 of 2 things might happen.

A.) When I set my movement to my left control stick, it for some odd reason reads that as my d-pad, and so when I go to set the map, collection screen, etc. to the d-pad they end up both using the same inputs. You can see how that could be problematic.

B.) I go to set up a configuration and then the game just says no to the tools entirely and therefore bind none of them to a button.

I tried at the very least binding them to other buttons such as the triggers, along with pressing down on the control sticks. Best I could get however was the right control stick as the map or something, everything else couldn't be read.

Anyone know a solution to this issue? (P.S.: I'm using a Switch Pro Remote for those wondering.)

Definitivamente, um dos melhores jogos 2D que joguei em 2020, Treasure Adventure World é a versão remasterizada do jogo Treasure Adventure Game (lançado em 2011 e disponível gratuitamente no GoG). Apesar da tag, o jogo não é um metroidvania, está mais pra algo no estilo do Zelda com interação com npcs, quests, puzzles, exploração de cenário e itens que dão acesso a áreas inicialmente bloqueados, porém aqui esses elementos estão num jogo 2D de plataforma.
Graficamente o jogo é muito bonito (toda parte sonora idem), não tive problemas de desempenho (algumas análises negativas apontam problemas), mas o jogo apresentou um pequeno problema de compatibilidade de controle e às vezes ele não era reconhecido ao iniciar, então era necessário fechar e reabrir o jogo (caso não resolvesse, bastava configurar manualmente no options).
O único defeito do jogo é a movimentação "escorregadia", ou seja, sabe aqueles jogos onde você tira o dedo do direcional e o personagem mesmo assim dá uma andadinha de leve? Sim, Treasure Adventure World possui esse problema, mas não é algo que realmente prejudique (basta adaptar-se ou dar um toquezinho na direção contrária ao pular em plataformas muito pequenas) porque o foco é a exploração e não a plataforma em si.
Sobre o jogo, a história narra as aventuras de um garoto em busca de 12 tesouros lendários espalhados por 17 ilhas com conceito de mundo aberto, portanto é possível viajar por tudo a partir do momento que o barco é adquirido. O fato de poder viajar por tudo, mesmo não podendo acessar determinadas áreas dessas ilhas pode causar uma certa confusão em alguns momentos, mas as "navpearls" existentes no jogo são pistas de onde os itens excênciais estão.

Resumindo, achei o jogo muito bom, foram 27 horas pra platinar precisando fuçar muito pelo jogo para encontrar tudo, portanto recomendo pra quem gosta do gênero ou de um bom jogo 2D.

元の-Gameの方に昔ハマりアクション苦手なのに面白くて当時夢中でやっていました。リメイクで見た目はカジュアルになったけど、自分のようにアクション下手で苦手な人は苦戦する場面多々あるかと思います(ボス戦もつらい)。ただセーブポイントでのセーブでいつでも体力全回復できるしオートセーブもあるので、何度もやり直してコツを掴んでクリアできると本当に楽しいし達成感もひとしおです。これ以上やり直しだと楽しさより苛つきが上回るギリギリの所でなんとかクリアできて先に進めるようになっていったので投げずに済みました。

1つ1つは小さな島ですが内部の広がりや様々な景色等で世界を冒険しているわくわく感があり、アイテムを使ったパズルやギミックも面白いです。数は少ないですがサブのクエストや収集要素もあり。音楽も気に入ってます。

여름 할인 기간에 엄청나게 가격을 후려치는데다가
사실 그냥 '재밌어 보여서' 샀는데 개인적으론 갓겜이 따로 없다.

단순 반복 퀘스트가 거의 없고 탐험이 주를 이루는 느낌.

레벨이나 성장 개념이 거의 없는 대신에 후반에 등장하는 적들은
일정한 조합 또는 공략법이 필요해서 익혀두지 않으면 난감해진다.
특히 미스터리 스크롤 4장을 모아서 도서관 사서에게 해독하는 퀘스트를 완료한 뒤
미스터리 사원에 입장해서 각각 3라운씩 총 5개의 방을 지나는 구간에는
거의 모든 종류의 적이 한번씩은 등장하기 때문에 공략법이나 패턴을 모르면
삽으로 적의 머리 위에서 스카이콩콩(포고스틱)하는 기술을 얻을 수 없다!

캐릭터의 움직임은 가속과 관성이 적용돼서 적응이 되기 전까진 좀 미묘할 수가 있다.

어뢰를 얻기 전에는 물살을 가르며 앞으로 쭉쭉 나가는 어뢰를 기대헀는데
그냥 대포 대신 어뢰가 나가는 거였다. (완전 속았다.)

보스전도 패턴만 알면 나름 쉽고(???) 재밌으며
어쨌거나 한국어 미지원이란 단점만 빼면
굉장히 재밌게 해서 추천.

The performance issues are so extreme that I simply cannot continue playing. Sad, really since I liked almost every aspect of the game. But the slowdowns and stuttering make you miss important jumps or take some hits from enemies.

Also, game mode doesn't change anything about the performance.

好多年前玩过像素版游戏完美呈现了很多男孩子梦想中的冒险新手村bgm和通关后的主题曲是One Eskimo的《Hometime》。
PS：为了让孩子玩做了汉化并不完美因为原文本好像是靠每个单词后面的空格换行的而不同情况下宽度又不尽相同我不是专业的搞起来有点棘手可惜还没有完成电脑就坏掉了好在孩子已经通关了
PSS：最终战如果不打破水晶击败BOSS BOSS会进入2（或者3？记不清了）阶段再次击败BOSS以后通关的主题曲才是上面那个

Очень приятная метроидвания с довольно заурядным платформингом, но с интересными и уникальными механиками, которые правда открываются ближе ко второй половине игры. Сюжет напоминает серию какого-нибудь мультика из 90-х, но достаточно интересный чтобы зацепить и содержит пару лихих твистов в конце.
В общем, чувствуется что в эту игру вложено много усилий, просто у авторов не было ресурсов сделать вау эффект - и получилась просто очень хорошая, но немного устаревшая игра.

A delightful little game I picked up in a bundle ages ago, Treasure Adventure World is a fun little experience that has an intriguing setting and is an overall blast. Platforming can be a little finicky on keyboard, but honestly if you have the cash to spare and want to have three days of fun, I highly recommend this game.

A nice little remake of the free game Treasure Adventure Game.
The game adds a lot of new upgrades to collect and made some quality of life changes.
The only con i can give is that the game crashed on me a few times (maybe around 4 times randomly) and that you need to do some work arounds on steam big picture to play with a controller. Fortunately there's a control profile out there that helps you with that.

Jedna z najlepiej zaprojektowanych metroidvanii z jakimi miałem do czynienia. Grałem w oryginał (Treasure Adventure Game) i niesamowicie mi się spodobał, a remake jest jeszcze lepszy. Świetna gra, bardzo nieliniowa, z dobrze zrobioną eksploracją. Jest masa różnych ścieżek do obrania, a jeśli trafimy na niewłaściwą (tzn. nie możemy jeszcze tam iść), zawsze znajdziemy coś dzięki czemu nasze pójście tam nie było na darmo. Rzeczy do zbierania i odkrywania są na każdym kroku. Co jest też trochę wadą, bo mimo że gra jest całkowicie zasypana sekretami, większość z nich to monety. Znaczy no, jak trzeba rozwiązać zagadkę albo się postarać to nagroda jest adekwatna. Ale jeśli znajdziemy coś ukrytego za fałszywą ścianą, na 90% będzie to skrzynia z monetami. A niestety, mimo "money sinku" w postaci domu, do którego możemy kupić wyposażenie, i tak skończyłem grę z paroma bezużytecznymi tysiącami :/

Fabularnie gra jest ok. Niespecjalnie odkrywcza, ale parę rzeczy potrafi zaskoczyć/zszokować, a dodatkowo lore jest całkiem nieźle wymyślony. Niestety gra jest też pod tym względem trochę niedopracowana - niektóre wątki wydają się być ucięte, tak jakby były związane jedynie z konkretnym skarbem i później tracą kompletnie znaczenie. W sumie gra jest nierówna pod względem dopracowania. Dialogi są meh, np. NPC mówią ciągle to samo nawet jak mają dla nas zadanie (w sensie dopóki go nie wykonamy, to cały dialog się powtarza), a z drugiej strony mamy takie smaczki jak zwłoki potwora na dnie jeziora po walce z bossem. Więc TAW zadziwia zarówno pozytywnie jak i negatywnie.

Niestety są też problemy techniczne. Absolutnie najgorszą rzeczą w tej grze jest obsługa padów. Na szczęście da się przejść grę na padzie, ale oprócz typowych problemów typu podłącz pada przed uruchomieniem gry, są takie problemy jak puste opisy sterowania (nie widać ikon przycisków, działają tylko na klawiaturze) albo to że gdy gra działa na padzie, to nie da się nic zrobić klawiaturą. Rozładowała mi się raz bateria w padzie w ciągu gry i musiałem ją wyłączyć, bo nie mogłem nic zrobić. Aż dziwi, że dwa lata po premierze te problemy nadal istnieją, bo większość była zgłaszana.

No tak czy inaczej, zalety tej gry epicko przeważają nad jej wadami, więc polecam bardzo cieplutko.

Very nice Adventure Platformer that doesn't rely on timed or complicated jumps.

The story is pretty nice and the characters are cute. It has interesting gear that's different from what games like this usually use which is a welcome change. While the game has some linear parts that rely on each other, if you have the right gear to reach something it doesn't matter when you get it and everything can be completed in one play through.

It has a few text and minor graphic issues that, in my opinion, are no problem at all. (Like a forgotten word in a speech bubble here and there and underwater a tile behind a wall where there should be darkness is instead transparent / missing.)

A delightful adventure game with puzzle platformer/collectathon elements. Main game is very forgiving with some decently challenging puzzles on the off beaten path. Most puzzles are straight foreward with their solutions, some legit stumped me. Cute artstyle and music. My main complaint with the game is it did have a tendency to crash, unsure if that's a hardware issue or one with the game. Major errors popup when attempting to start a New-game plus, and prevent the game client from continuing, but the main adventure is over, so I'm pretty much satisfied.

此作品是Treasure Adventure Game的高清重制版不过并没有玩过前作
本作游戏方面还算可以画面稍微有点flash感音乐虽然还算不错但是音轨较短不停循环听多了会有些腻
游戏流程其实并不太长时间主要浪费在反复而冗长的跑路上传送点出现过晚都该最终boss了才能使用毫无意义
手感稍微有点滑类似水管工平台跳跃没啥难点落脚点还算准确解谜也都非常简单就是推推石头 boss战基本都靠场景杀
偶有报错退出启动和切图速度略慢以及非英语系统手柄按键不显示

对于手柄按键无显示问题是因为win10的按键名称是本地化过非英文而该游戏配置文件里只有英文的按键名所以无法正常显示
不过这只是显示问题操作完全无影响顶多游戏内的按键提示以及新道具的说明都是空白的
要解决这个问题可以用记事本打开游戏目录 \taw_files\dialog下的english_dialog.diag
406至592行是游戏所记载的所有手柄按键名将按键的正确名称填入等号左侧就行了
至于系统保存的按键名称可以在设备和打印机 → 游戏控制器设置 → 属性中查看
也可以运行游戏根目录下的taw_controller_survey.exe 自己映射一遍并保存成文件同样记事本打开粘贴过去

Pros:
-Cute art
-Fun treasure hunting without feeling like a drag
-Great music
-Interesting boss fights

Cons:
-Early game is a bit tedious with backtracking until you get quick travel
-I tried to 100% it as I went along and it took a while until the game informed me this was impossible (this is mostly on me)
-You walk fluidly (you can't immediately turn around). I didn't mind it but some might for the platforming.

Very nice little platformer with awesome soundtrack. Even though I think it lost some atmosphere (it's a remake of the Treasure Adventure Game), it still is fun to play and explore. A lot of love in details, many systems and ways to explore that are opening as you progress, nice environmental puzzles, fun backtracking and exploration, lots of hidden secrets to find. Creative bosses and enemies. And awesome soundtrack as a cherry on top of the pie!

And still, if it's your first foray into Treasure Adventure *, I would recommend to start from perfect Treasure Adventure Game.

В первую очередь платформер потом метроидвания. Как по мне платформера слишком много, но тут уж на вкус и цвет, да и игра заявлена разработчиком именно как платформер.
Общее впечатление достаточно хорошее.

Бои с боссами на основе слабых точек.

Механики довольно таки интересные. Интересная система шляп, не сказать что это что-то абсолютно новое, но реализовано достаточно хорошо.

Некоторые цепочки квестов напомнили квесты с того же ZX-Spectrum, только здесь пояснения есть и оттого более или менее понятно что делать и куда бежать.

Сюжет... нууу... гипотетически мог бы быть внезапный "вотэтоповорот", но на него слишком хорошо намекнули где-то в первой половине игры, а ближе к середине подтвердили пару раз. Хотя это очень даже может быть таким забавным ходом, чтоб игрок проникся осознанием что он тоже может. В целом ничего плохого сказать не могу.

Да, русский язык в игре есть, выбирается он правда как-то своеобразно. При первом запуске игра была на английском, в вступительном ролике присутствовали русские субтитры, но меню и диалоги были на английском. После перезапуска игры уже всё было на русском.

Из минусов:
- весьма посредственная производительность в некоторых ситуациях, но это скорее всего движок "постарался".
- контроллер. Не сказать что игра его не распознаёт, распознаёт и работает он вполне себе нормально. Вот только не распознаёт кнопки, в итоге в подсказках светится что-нибудь вроде "нажмите [] и []". Что не слишком информативно, особенно учитывая что пишется это при открытии новой способности. Возможно дело в моём контроллере, но скриншоты из сообщества мягко намекают, что я далеко не одинок.

This game has slower gameplay process. Visuals not great at all. I love the pixel graphic.
But the biggest problems is that game hangs and crash unpredictabely.

Treasure Adventure World is such a treat. The Soundtrack is pleasing, controls are simple, there's tons of things to collect and hunt for, and there's a surprising amount of intrigue and mystery! Sailing island to island has almost a Windwaker appeal to it and figuring out where to go can be quite puzzling. There's so many neat references to other games and even references to Newgrounds, which is definitely a treat.

If all this sounds appealing to you, then I could not recommend this game enough.
