Histoire :

Dans Toukiden 2, tu incarnes un Slayer chargé de combattre des démons appelés Oni dans un Japon médiéval-fantastique ravagé. Le jeu introduit un monde semi-ouvert et une narration plus présente que dans les précédents opus.
L’histoire est correcte, avec quelques moments intéressants et un univers sympa, mais elle reste assez classique. Ce n’est clairement pas ce qui te fera rester 100 heures… mais ça fait le job.

Gameplay :

On est sur un Monster Hunter-like, mais avec ses propres mécaniques :
Combats rapides et dynamiques
Système de démembrement ciblé des Oni
Utilisation des Mitama (esprits historiques) pour créer des builds
Monde semi-ouvert avec exploration libre
Le gameplay est fun et accessible, mais un peu moins précis et profond que ses concurrents directs. Cela dit, le côté nerveux et arcade le rend très agréable sur de longues sessions.

Graphismes & ambiance :

Techniquement correct sans être impressionnant.
Les environnements sont variés mais parfois vides, tandis que le design des Oni est réussi et souvent impressionnant.
L’ambiance japonaise mythologique fonctionne bien, surtout avec les Mitama issus de figures historiques.

Difficulté :

Progressive.
Le jeu est accessible au début, mais devient plus exigeant sur les missions avancées et le endgame. Certaines chasses peuvent devenir longues et demandent une bonne optimisation de l’équipement.

Nota importante: Es un port espantoso a PC y es obligatorio el uso de mando ya que no tiene soporte para ratón. Además tiene otros problemas con resoluciones de pantalla y modos que se pueden arreglar con programas de terceros, pero están ahí y son molestos. Básicamente hicieron un copy-paste de la versión de PS4 a PC sin cambiar apenas nada, así que cuidado con esto antes de comprarlo. Por si fuera poco llevan años vendiendo sus juegos viejos con malos ports a 60€, así que no recomendaría a nadie comprarlo hasta que no tenga una oferta buena en la tienda.

Normalmente la gente compara el Toukiden con el MH y aunque esto es bastante acertado para la primera entrega, la segunda hizo unos cambios importantes que acercan el título más a un RPG que a un juego de caza. Es un juego bastante viejo así que solo pondré un resumen con lo más importante a tener en cuenta. Lo he jugado en PSvita cuando salió, en PS4 y en PC así que tengo varios cientos de horas acumuladas.

-Tiene buena historia y da esa sensación al terminar de que te has visto una serie anime bastante decente.
-Además de las cacerías cuenta con una campaña de historia principal, misiones secundarias de acompañantes, misiones secundarias de otros NPC relevantes y algunas tareas adicionales bastante simplonas.
-El mapa es de mundo abierto y aunque es claramente un juego de bajo presupuesto, está muy bien diseñado. Tiene un efecto ambiental a tener en cuenta que afecta a la exploración y añade tensión al limitar el tiempo que puedes permanecer explorando. Hay mecánicas de transición para viajar, encuentros y algunos secretos.
-En lugar de luchar únicamente con las armas, aquí existen clases y habilidades que dependen de un sistema de cartas que se consiguen recogiendo almas de héroes caídos que tienen determinados monstruos, generalmente jefes. Además de poder coleccionarlos, hay una gran variedad que permite experimentar con muchas builds diferentes. Existen unos google docs en internet para armas y para mitamas que ayudan mucho con la progresión si uno está muy metido en el juego.
-Además de los mitamas, las armaduras y armas tienen también un sistema de progresión y en el caso de las armas pueden evolucionar a diferentes variantes, hay un árbol entero de posibilidades para cada una y puesto que no se puede ver al completo al ir mejorándolas, es recomendable usar el google doc que mencioné previamente.
-A lo largo de la historia se desbloquean acompañantes que pueden ir contigo al más puro estilo Bioware. También se puede jugar co-op, aunque no cuenta con buscador sino que funciona por LAN y solo permite jugar online los contratos de dicho modo (que no son pocos). Por otro lado lado los contratos online se pueden jugar en solitario con acompañantes en lugar de jugadores si uno lo desea.
-El combate y los jefes es muy divertido, aunque tiene el mismo problema con el que ya contaba la primera entrega: tiene demasiadas curaciones por personaje, lo que reduce notablemente la dificultad y resta valor a los acompañantes de tipo defensivo/sanador salvo que realices varios encuentros seguidos, algo no tan raro en exploración y contratos avanzados.
-Está en japonés con subtítulos en inglés.

Despite some jank, outdated visuals, plot conveniences, dull moments in the open world and repeated regular enemies, this is a great time for a Monster Hunter fan. Different weapons with unique playstyles, lots of huge bosses with variety of locals, coupled with interesting mechanics like cutting limbs, grabbing/attacking enemies with a semi hookshot. The story actually is interesting, albeit, it falls into some anime-esque moments and dialogue, with characters ending up like archetypes. The open world starts small and expands the more you progress through the story, although it's not as fleshed out as other heavyweights.

Get it if it looks appealing to you and want a Monster Hunter like experience. Just don't expect great presentation.

自分が一番好きな狩猟アクションゲーム。
PS4版でトロフィーコンプ済ですが、またやりたくなったので一からやっていきます。
自分よりも大きいモンスターというかこのゲームでは鬼を討伐していきますが、
武器毎のアクションやスタイルに合わせたスキル（タマフリ）、ゲージを貯めて使う必殺技の様な強攻撃、
ダッシュでの移動の高速化、鬼への飛び掛かりでの快適な戦闘機動が面白いゲームです。
使える武器は「太刀 / 双刀 / 槍 / 手甲 / 鎖鎌 / 弓 / 金砕棒 / 薙刀 / 銃 / 盾剣 / 仕込鞭」の11種類。
そこにタマフリというそれぞれ特徴のある能力セットが「繰 / 攻 / 防 / 迅 / 癒 / 魂 / 隠 / 空 / 賭 / 献 / 壊」の11種。
タマフリは武器と防具、それに今作から登場しためっちゃ便利な鬼ノ手という道具合わせて３か所付けられるので、
武器11種×タマフリが武器11×防具11×鬼の手11種の組み合わせが出来、ビルドの幅がめっちゃ広いです。
それにタマフリにつかう英霊ごとにミタマスキルが９つあり、そこから各ミタマ３つのスキルを選んで発動できます。
その組み合わせによってはめちゃくちゃ強くなります。
例えば瀕死時に攻撃力が上がるスキル持ったミタマで揃え、防具タマフリ（ニギタマフリ）で一定時間戦闘不能無効とかにする、さらに瀕死になった直後に武器タマフリで攻撃力や会心率上昇などを発動すれば超高DPSが出せたり、
連撃武器で攻撃速度を上げるスキルを揃えれば、気持ちいいくらいの怒涛の連撃になったりします。
他にも、というかこれが最強感ありますが属性武器を使って属性攻撃時に体力気力を回復するスキルを揃えるとか。（これでマルチ含む最高難易度までソロでクリアできます。）高速攻撃で手数を増やし各種ゲージを早く貯めてスキルで強化した強攻撃を叩き込むか等々色々出来ます。
強化としては武器や防具の製造や強化はもちろん、ミタマも関係のある人物で揃える組み合わせ次第で専用スキルが追加で発動したり、料理で発動するスキルや、拠点で禊を行うことで発動するスキルもあります。
アクションが苦手な人でも自分の使いやすい武器やスタイルで揃えて、各スキルを発動すれば簡単になると思います。
強化が色々出来るし、鬼もそこまで複雑な行動はしないので初心者でも楽しく遊べる狩猟アクションゲームだと思います。
あと、図鑑が充実していてモンスターの特徴や弱点、討伐数、落とした素材の種類などが分かるし、発動したスキル一覧が見れたりするので埋めていく楽しさもあります。各ミタマのスキルも条件を満たしながら使用すれば成長するし、やり込み要素としても十分なものがあります。
ストーリーも自分は結構好きなのでおすすめのゲームです。

シリーズは無印と極をストーリークリアまでやった程度
古いモデルだなと思ったら実際10年近く前のゲームだったか...
ps4の体験版をちょろっとやった程度だったがもうそんなに経つのか...

武器の操作指南が無いので実際に振り回して学ぶしかないのが不便、その上モーションが高速過ぎて把握しづらく溜や連打やカウンターもあるのでどの武器種もどういう使い方をすればいいのか分からなくて使いづら過ぎる!!結局薙刀をぶんぶん振り回していますｗ

ゲーム自体はオープンワールドになっただけで無印や極から何も進化していないように思える、まだ序盤だがストーリーはなかなかに良き。

追記
14時間ほどでストーリークリア、短くないですか？
その後の展開が読める状況が多々、プレイヤーの正体など謎の放置も多々...
武器の操作に関してはクリア後にメニューの奥まったところで発見、分かりづらいｗ
目的地までの道中の補給無しボスラッシュが面倒だし消耗しきった状態で目的地にたどり着き回復も無く戦闘...道中に回避不可の強敵を複数配置し回復を無くしたらそりゃ難しいよね。オープンワールド化は失敗ですね。それでも敵を硬く速く強く多くするフロムよりはマシに思えますｗ
クリア後にできる事は任務や依頼の消化のみでサイドストーリーとかは無く退屈です、特に場所や時間が指定された依頼は苦行です...
オンライン？10年前のマイナーなゲームに人なんて居る訳ねぇでしょうが...

結論
新しい試みをするより極の不便を取り除いた物にすればよかったんじゃないかと思う作品。
端的に言えば「極の方が面白かった」

別のレビュアーの人が「無双を狩りゲーナイズした」というのがあったが言い得て妙だと思う。
スピーディだけど操作は簡単めにプレイ出来て楽しい。
武器ごとの基礎コンちょっと調べたらすぐ乗り換えられるので気軽にいろんな武器を触れたのも飽きにくくてプレイしやすかった。
ストーリーも王道かつ声優陣も有名どころを揃えていて良かった。
流石にVITA時代のゲームなので最近のゲームと比べると粗はあるがセールで買う分には十二分に楽しめた。

Es Monster Hunter con historia. Los demonios hicieron vrga a la humanidad y quedan pocos pueblos de pie. Tu grupete es el único que le puede hacer frente usando armas incómodamente grandes. Está ambientado en un Japón antiguo así que la visual es de ese estilo. Cada demonio grande, además de poder desmembrarlos y usar sus partes para forjar equipo, puede contener el alma de algún guerrero del pasado. Estas almas las podés unir con tu arma a lo Shaman King y ganar habilidades y boosts variados. Al poder llevar con vos hasta 3 almas se hace atractivo el probar builds diferentes combinando armas y almas de distintos tipos.

战斗偏向于你打你的我打我的，还存在以千山王为代表的好几个粪怪。但是“我打我的”这一块做得相当出彩，11种武器各自特色鲜明且手感丝滑流畅。同时构筑花样繁多，相较于前作新增的两个主动技能降和魂、降荒魂使得可玩性更进一步。喜闻乐见的刷装环节没有词条浮动，虽然肝度难免但是能清楚的看到终点，不至于陷入无底洞。琢磨出一套合适的配装，思考对轴的流程，行云流水地打出压制，搭配上真真正正斩断四肢的部位破坏演出，实在是非常上头。

什么？讨鬼2居然是开放世界（笑
为了嗯蹭当年开发世界热度而催生出来的畸形续作，甚至把画质、贴图、特效都开倒车，光荣的开放世界来到25年的优米雅还是一言难尽。

如果你玩过极并且喜欢这个系列，2可以拿来消磨时间；
如果你第一次接触讨鬼，建议从极入手；
2在刚出那年差不多是褒姒的游戏，放到现在卖接近300也是幽默，但底子不坏，装备起来了就是怪物猎人的无双版。

最後にプレイしたのは、PS VITAの体験版。あれから約7年ほど経過した今、どうしても世界観や登場キャラ、ストーリーが忘れられず、steamにてタイトルを入力したところ再会。2017年発のゲームということもありグラフィックなどは最新のゲームと比べると劣るでしょう。ただ、雰囲気やストーリーが好きでプレイしているのです。インターネット？（モンハンで言うギルド？）も過疎どころか誰もいません。だけど良いのです。VITAの体験版ではたどり着けなかったその先を見ることさえできればいいのです。今になったからこそわかるマホロバの里における対立や各人物の心内など...
思い出補正もだいぶかかってはいると思いますが買ってよかったと思えるゲームです。

追記
自分はセール中に買いました。そのことを念頭に...
まずストーリー自体はモンハン4Gぐらいの量？ムービーが挟まったり、戦闘中にキャラ同士のセリフが表示されたりと中々に楽しめます。ストーリー自体に関しても、中々楽しめます。
ゲームバランスですが、ミタマで献身に関しては絶対に使うことはないかなと思いました。味方NPCとして連れていくなら十分需要はありますが、プレイヤーが献身になり、味方NPCをサポートするというのはあまりないかと...

やりこみ要素だと思われる、「しるべ」に関しては攻略サイト(個人)を見ないとわからないぐらいに難しいです。

全実績解除後の感想

①全体の感想
ゲーム全体のバランスをもう少し調整して、ストーリーをもっと量を増やすべきだった。

②敵である鬼について
某狩りゲーでもクソモンスとか言われているモンスターはいる。もちろんこのゲームにもクソ鬼はいる。
それはさておき小型鬼が異常に鬱陶しい。電撃攻撃してくる連中全般、天狗、大量の土竜、大量の餓鬼、延々と細かな攻撃を受け続ける、もしくは倒れ続けるみたいなクソコンボを決められることがある。
怒り時に、小型鬼を召喚するのは良いが、再湧きの限度とかもうちょい調整して欲しい。土竜の引き寄せからの気絶もしくは氷漬けのクソコンボや近接武器種の天狗への対策の無さには呆れる。

③ミタマについて
ミタマを色々と組み合わせて、どうやったら強くなるのか？と研究するのは楽しかった。
ただストーリーが終わり、任務の消化フェーズに入ると、自分が弓ばかり使っていたのもあってか、与一、為朝、道真で固定されてしまった。ミタマ武器を作ろうと、必死に育てていたこともあったが、面倒になりやめてしまった。他の種類のミタマのスキルが入ってしまうと著しく育成効率が落ちるうえ、わざわざそのミタマ育成の為に組み替える必要もあり非常に面倒だった。

かかる時間に対して、得られる報酬が少なすぎる！
カラクリはすぐに大破するのに、要求される素材は非常に高コストかつ集めるのが難しい代物ばかり。
結局、商隊救出→よろず屋で購入→強化の繰り返し。

雅のマップが非常に面倒。どこが道かわからん。
初見では武のところも非常にわかりにくい。
木を掴んで登るみたいなチュートリアルはあったが、崖がどこにあるのか、そもそもつかめる崖なのかがわかりにくい。

良かった。面白かった。
だが、7章があれだけ？って感じが否めない。というか、ストーリーなのか...あれは？

結構時間かかりました。戦闘に加わることができないお二方です。
最終的に俊足持ちのミタマを三つくっつけて、村クエのヒダル討伐からの全力ダッシュで二人に声掛け→ヒダル討伐を繰り返していました...

T2 is an excellent action game, similar to monster hunter, but with a better, more involved story and a (mostly) open world to explore.

The world is divided into Ages, and you must get X far within each one to unlock the quick travel to it, in order to complete the quests contained within.

The npcs/teammates who accompany you on your missions, and the story are better than the MH series and play a big part in keeping things interesting rather than just the hunt/carve/upgrade cycle.

The weapons are distinctive, and the skills and abilities used during fights keeps things fun and interesting. The learning curve for each is fairly steep, with plenty of crazy skills and abilities not explained very well (aka very JRPG-like), so keep that in mind.

The graphics are decent, and the music/sound effects are good. Know that the game has English subtitles while all the characters speak (and screech) in Japanese.

If you’re looking for a more Asian-flavored MH with a mostly open world and plenty of monster killing action, I highly recommend it.

To start, if you like the concept of fighting big bosses as a core gameplay loop and making weapons/armor from their materials, PLAY MONSTER HUNTER FIRST. That series goes on deep discounts very frequently (much lower than this game at its lowest, and this game seems to go on sale rarely and randomly) and is overall just a much more polished and thought out version of the concept. However, if you've played monster hunter before or want a hack and slash where you're fighting one big guy instead of many smaller guys, go right ahead. Good characters and story (monster hunter wishes it had this), variety of builds that focus on completely different aspects of the game (heal your teammates by attacking them, summon pets to attack for you, become a tank pulling the oni's attention to you, TF2 spy backstabbing, etc etc), and a neat open world.

总之，这系列暴死不是没有原因的，欧米茄组还是老老实实做无双吧

Toukiden (TKD) 2 is a decent monster hunting game that has a good story, fast paced action, less tedium and just as grindy. In this game, you hunt Onis, rip their parts off (and gloat), only to realize that they've suddenly become even more dangerous!

TKD2 has a compelling story and its storytelling is well executed. This is supported by a cast of likeable characters and great voice acting (♥♥♥ dub only) that kept me wanting to see more of it - imo, the biggest strength of the game. The story can feel short if you focus on main quests, so it's better to mix in with side quests. TKD2 uses an open world which features a day/night cycle (mostly immersion, though some side quests require to be in nighttime) and is littered with inscriptions (textual story fragments) and crests (collectables) to encourage exploration. Also, the home hub is an impressively big village which is unfortunately only really relevant during story progression. You can explore the open world with up to 3 additional AI companions and they are very competent. In fact, perhaps too much so because they will most likely carry you throughout your early-to-late single player experience; they will even pick loot for you! One annoyance I have is that there are a few translation errors and there are no subtitles for the things your companions say (when out in the open world), making it impossible to understand if you don't know Japanese. It's also a shame that the open world aspect of the game only applies to single player and not multiplayer. For the latter, it's still the traditional lobby system like most other games. The character creator is decent and looks to be the same as those used in other musou games like Samurai Warriors, but with more options.

Compared to other games in the same genre like Monster Hunter (MH) or God Eater (GE), the game takes away a lot of the tedium of hunt preparation as there are no consumables to prepare. Instead, their effects are implemented as skills in 11 collections, referred to as "playstyles" (known as "ATK", "PLN", etc in-game). Each playstyle consists of 4 skills (mapped to the face buttons of the gamepad) with one of them always being a self-heal. As such, the playstyle defines what skills you can use and each skill has limited use (and cooldown) which can only be restocked at designated points on the map. Playstyles loosely define what you bring to your party, for e.g., better at destroying parts, able to taunt or able to AoE heal. The main attraction of this game compared to its competition is the ability to tear off Oni parts and boy is it gratifying to do so! What's interesting is that destroying different Oni parts will alter its move sets, making it more interesting and challenging to learn its moves. There's (most of the time) clear wind up before big attacks and it's still important to recognize them as your own big attacks have commitment and you also have limited healing. That said, I find that many monsters have really OP bullsh*t moves that I don't really enjoy fighting.

TKD2 uses the Mitama ("honourable spirit") system to make builds and it's interesting. In a nutshell, you can have 3 mitamas and every mitama has its own list of passive abilities known as "boosts" where you can pick 3 (from each mitama) for a total of 9 boosts per build. Some of these boosts are weapon-specific, working like traits, while others improve stats or improve playstyle-specific skills. Mitamas are unlocked by playing the story mode, side quests and hunting specific Onis; they also need to be "levelled up" in order to unlock their boosts. In total, there appears to be as many as 200 mitamas in the game (excluding DLCs). Every mitama is tied to a playstyle and time period. Depending on the slot they are equipped, the player gains a set of additional evade and attack skills that is dictated by the playstyle of the mitama. Also, when using mitamas from the same period (or hidden historical relationship), you also gain combination boosts. There's a fair amount of thinking needed for finding optimal mitama choices to build synergies which is where the depth of build-making is primarily at. Unfortunately, there's no option to show damage numbers and there are no training dummies to test changes. Although you can see health bars of the Onis, it's hard to know objectively whether you're doing better damage when fiddling with setups. Another thing to note is that there's only few resources online which will pose a challenge when min-maxing your gear/mitama setups.

The game has a good selection of 11 weapons which are technical though not quite at the level of MH but definitely more compared to GE; they also feel less weighty but I feel it's because controller vibration during player actions feels non-existent. There are in-game tutorial missions for all 11 weapons which does a serviceable introduction but the advanced stuff will require exploration. The weapons all play very distinctly, and using them do require mastery because you can't just spam-to-win unless your gear outlevels the Oni (which some of the spammy moves might suggest). Interestingly, quite a number of weapons allow you to do airborne combat in order to hit the hard-to-reach places and some monsters are very tall. Overall, I think TKD2 strikes a nice balance between visceral and deliberate combat which works reasonably well on small and big monsters. In comparison, MH's combat works for large monsters, but feels unsatisfying for small ones.

In terms of the presentation, the graphics still hold up imo, even if they aren't the best. The color palette, however, is a tad too washed-out for my liking. The music is apt and suitable but I haven't found any strong tracks that caught my attention. The UI and control scheme could be better although it's not terrible. For example, it's hard to find things on a list because you can't sort alphabetically - even though you can sort in other ways. It also doesn't make very good use of the DPad for control scheme, like using it for rotating 3D model when previewing gear.

Performance-wise, this game runs great and I've not got a single crash (except one instance of suddenly very long loading which I closed the game and restarted). However, this port is a mixed bag although it's far from a bad one. For one, it doesn't have borderless window mode which is an inconvenience and doesn't allow you to remap controls on the gamepad. While I've never played with keyboard/mouse, it doesn't seem like it would work very well with mouse. It also always launches with its configuration tool which can be bypassed but requires additional manual work/research on your part.

Overall, despite some of my gripes, I strongly recommend TKD2, especially for players who like monster hunting as an offline or JRPG experience. However, I'd recommend getting this game only when on sale (which, admittedly, is rare) as I don't think it has a reasonable asking price for such an old title. I really hope Koei Tecmo will continue this series in future as it has pretty good fundamentals down. I think with a bit more polish to its weapon and combat mechanics (like adding more counterplay), the TKD series can become a serious competition to the MH series. But perhaps I compare TKD too much with MH (the gold standard) because with TKD2, it's really become is its own thing and sets itself apart from the others in the genre, like MH and GE.

Toukiden 2 is by far the most interesting Monster-Hunter-Like. You may be wondering why.
Because it actually innovates on its own series mechanics, and the genre's fundamental mechanics. An accomplishment that very few MH-likes manage or even try to achieve.

Toukiden 2 is also the most depressing MH-Like because the game is dead.
Even during publisher sales Toukiden 2 remains a staggering 66.49 CDN. For reference it is 30 dollars less than MH Wilds, 15 dollars more than Rise, and 25 dollars more than World and when did this game come out on steam? 2017!? Worse still those two games go on frequent sales while Toukiden 2 here gets 1 or 2 random discounts a year, if you're lucky.

On top of that the DLC quests are not free, so you have to pay real money to experience all of the quests that Toukiden has to offer.
Oh, and the keyboard controls suck. You better have a controller if you want to play this.

Lets touch on some positives for a minute.

The World and presentation is pretty good. Toukiden 2 puts alot of focus on its characters and story, there's also some world building but that starts to fall by the wayside the further you get through the story.

Something I include in presentation are the Tutorials. I can happily say these are usually really good! Optional missions from their own quest tender that'll show you the ropes for every weapon, and every standard loadout, with simple 1 time popups for most other information.
(You can of course view these again from a certain menu)

Back to why this game is depressing. This greatest downside aside from price comes from odd inconsistencies.
Its not hard to get used to these inconsistencies, they just reek of lacking polish.
I'll use the areas with poor or no communication as the easiest example of these.
Despite the great tutorials the game offers nothing effective for weapon trees, mitama sources and locations, or even how certain equipment statistics work. You'll have to find the player made spreadsheets for those.
Furthermore there are no subtitles in standard gameplay for dialogue, and that ends up trickling down to impact a few of the games cutscenes.

The greatest advantage is the combat and skill systems, which are both surprisingly free-form and are what I can only describe as "Refreshingly limiting" as Monster Hunter continues down a path of excessive powercreep and experimentation.

So here's what you'll have access to (not including the variety of weapons)
9 passive skills, 3 active skills (and a heal) that function akin to items or spells, another 2 active skills that have unlimited uses. Of course all of these active skills have cooldowns independent of one another.
But that's not all. You also have two part breaker attacks you can use after filling their corresponding meter. 1 just breaks limbs, while the other breaks limbs or completely severs certain limbs.
This system pairs very well with the faster paced combat and NPC hunters allowing for a full party in every mission, even in singleplayer.

As a whole if I had to assign Toukiden 2 a number grade I'd say it earns an 8 out of 10 and is well worth trying if you're a fan of Monster Hunter (particularly if you've played more than just World, Rise, and soon to be Wilds)
Though if I'm being as objective as possible it's probably a 7/10 due to the price and the handful of glaring unpolished holes.

Protonのバージョンアップで特に設定しなくてもLinux系で遊べるようになりました。
ムービー再生も問題なし。
POP!_OS（Debian系）とSteam Deck（Arch系）でどちらも問題なかったので、どのディストリビューションでもいけるようになったと思う。

個人的な欠点はパッドの決定ボタンが日本仕様のため、昨今の海外仕様に慣れているとゲーム中に混乱するので入れ替えた方がいいかも。
Steamオーバーレイで設定すれば滞り無く動作したので、その点は問題なかった。
その辺りが気にならない人なら関係ない話。

久しぶりにやるとモンハンライクとは言いつつ、しっかりしたストーリー、和風設定、豊富かつ個性的な武器など、なぜ続編が出ないのか疑問の出来の良さ。

Some people might compare this to Monster Hunter. They would be right. But I think it's closer to God Eater than MH in terms of combat feel. Some would also comment that it looks like Samurai Warriors. They would also be correct.

Weapons feel floaty. The attack weights of the sword and the club feel exactly the same. There are loads of particle effects on screen when all four members of the team whack something in the face. Pair that up with skills effects emanating from the team, you will get a screen full of greens, yellows, reds and blues. Then, you realize that you don't actually know if you're hitting a soft spot or a hard spot based on damage indicators because they appear for a literal split second. Do you know the difference between hitting for good damage vs not? The size of the damage indicators are 2 pixels bigger if you do more damage, that's how.

But they are tied neatly in a package. It's not the best package, but it is a great package. The amount of content in the package is tremendous and lovely. Well worth the price.

I don't know what else to say except I like it. Nice voice acting, nice cutscenes, nice CGI, nice combat feel, nice movements, there are almost no loading screens, nice big open world, nice looking monsters, and very nice B.A.T. (Big Anime Tiddies).

P.S. The best way to get a smoother combat experience is to always have four team members. Otherwise, the game feels like a slog if you're going solo or even as a trio.

Old monster hunter but faster.
Though it kind of feels more like a traditional RPG than a MH-like. The goal is to drain the monster's HP before you run out of resources, instead of dancing with the monster, sneaking in hits, and punishing openings. I'd recommend MHW over this, but this pretty decent if you're just looking for more hunting content.

I love this game. Played it on console first, then had to get it when it came to PC. Lots of fun, and very engaging and interesting. A bit like Monster Hunter, of course, but it seems to have a distinct personality of its own.

After seeing Monster Hunter go downhill thanks to Capcom making the stupid decision to allow woke localizers into the development centers, causing their games to be loaded with ESG DEI ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, I, as a longtime Monster Hunter fan who had to STOP playing Monster Hunter Rise & World after having just gotten started on both after learning they were retroactively adding Denuvo to all their games specifically to PREVENT modding in any form, even just AESTHETIC modding, I bought this game & all its DLC after reading some of the reviews for it hoping to be able to join the hunt again; & I was especially intrigued by it because it seemed to've already done the thing Monster Hunter Wilds is gonna try, & probably FAIL to do. You may've noticed though that I only have 5 MINUTES of "playtime" in the game, & I'm giving it a NOT recommended review; why?

Because I could never get it to WORK.

The whole reason I put the word playtime in quotes is because I never got to actually PLAY the game in those 5 minutes, they were spent trying & failing to get the game to actually LAUNCH; I wanted to play the game to rejoin the hunt so BAD that I tried EVERYTHING. I tried uninstalling & reinstalling, I tried restarting my computer, I followed the troubleshooting guide in the read me it came with; but no matter what I did, whenever I hit the play button, it crashed before it even got STARTED booting up; so ultimately, I had to REFUND it & all its DLC.

I have NO idea how those other people managed to play it, but to them I say, I ENVY you, because you get to have fun continuing with the hunt while I've been forced to RETIRE from it. It's NEVER fun feeling like you've been BANISHED from a game formula/franchise you've loved for a LONG time, & I feel that way with 2 now; the Monster Hunter formula, & Splatoon because of Nintendos scummy practices around it with their subscription service. The latter stings even MORE because the first Splatoon game released on my BIRTHDAY, & actually got it as a present, giving the franchise a special place in my heart. Unrelated, I know, but the point still stands; if I can't even PLAY the game, how can I possibly recommend it? I CAN'T, simple as. & it's a real SHAME I can't recommend it because from the other reviews, it seems like it'd be a LOT of fun!

Aunque, ¿quién se queja de ver su personaje luciendo como el guerrero definitivo?

Ah, y unos subtítulos que no necesiten la lupa de Sherlock Holmes también serían geniales.
