Es un juego difícil de entender (en especial que no tenga traducción al español nativamente). pero en si por la duración y la historia que cuenta es muy intrigante muy recomendado si quieres un juego para pasartelo en una tarde y que al mismo tiempo te haga reflexionar. 10/10

Гораздо важнее было бы сконцентрироваться на выстраивании атмосферы и крепкого геймплея, вместо того, чтобы делать то, что сделал автор. Смысл и гемность найдут только люди склонные к СПГС или явно нестабильные ментально персоны.
Проходите мимо. Такие проекты нельзя поощрять, тк они узурпируют на важных темах, но по сути тем самым вытягивают деньги из кармана доверчивого геймера, на деле возвращая ему игровой опыт в стиле "сделал херню на геймджеме на коленке"
A very lame, very water downed modern boomer shooter that tries really hard to make itself sound profound and intellectual. "Story rich" is a stretch and "psychological horror" is a lie. I don't remember how much I paid for this but it was too much.
Not what I expected, but not bad at all. 100% worth a play, or 2, or three if you need them.

Consider this as a first-person adventure with bits of Doom-style shooter elements and a class in philosophy. Relatively short but choices in your interaction offers some replay value. The layered depths of the philosophical themes - some of them that gets me pondering about my own views and thinking - are recognizable but also left me puzzled about matters like ego, life-death cycles and universe's existence. It's a decent game by its standards, if you don't mind the cutdown on action and having to take progress in smaller doses in a short game.
This game is, sadly, hella dookie.
A full playthrough takes ~90 minutes and the overwhelming majority of that will be reading the long, winding story. The story is 50% self-help you-can-do-it type gibbering and 50% vague philosophical ideas, but at the depth you get from your weedhead friend at 3am when he's completely zooted beyond his gourd. It's all very surface level and... forgive me for uttering this word; Cringe. It's absolutely omnipresent too. The levels are all (vaguely) themed around some kind of cardinal sin or maturation stepping stone, ie gluttony, anxiety or self-actualization; The NPCs are constantly yapping about it both in the levels and when you go back to the tavern; There is poetry jammed into every loading screen, and there's even song lyric snippets graffitied on many of the walls. I swear, seeing song lyrics from Blue Oyster Cult's "Don't Fear the Reaper" on the inside of a log in minecraft skyblock was so surreal. Up until that point I had envisioned the dev as some pimply 16 year old, and now he's suddenly Damo from the traino mumbling along to the car stereo while cooking snags out next to the hills hoist. Whiplash.
Anyway, aside from the story.
- The FPS gameplay is more in line with Wolfenstein 3D and Blakestone than it is Doom and its contemporaries. We're talking generally flat geometry and enemy pathfinding that just draws a straight line to the player and doesn't try to navigate around obstacles. Enemies are flat 2D billboards in a 3D environment, just like Wolf3D, but now with soft Unity lighting in garish colours.
- 6 weapons, three of which are functionally identical melees. The three guns are pistol, smg and shotgun.
- Enemy variety is nothing. Everything except the Rats, which are generic hitscanners, will just walk up and suck your toes. Only one enemy type per level, no mixing.
I know it looks zany and interesting based on the screenshots, but it really, really isn't.

This game is definitely aptly named! It is strange in a great way! On first glance the game store would make you think it is a fps. Which it is, but not always. Sometimes a level won't involving killing anything at all! I liked the variety of gameplay and worlds.
Waxing philosophical is not something games usually tackle and that is the whole focus of this game. I will say I don't enjoy poems so part of this game is lost on my. Will be thinking about this one for a while!

“This strange realm of mine” subverts whatever expectations you might have of it. If you expect a Doom clone, you’ll be hit with atmospheric and visual storytelling. Where you’d expect Psychological-Horror tropes of storytelling, you’ll find moments of authentic positivity, too sincere to opt to be edgy for its own sake. Where you’d expect indie slop, you’ll see a game that isn’t apologetic about being indie, but tries its absolute best to give you polished work, through whatever means are available to it.
You might feel it’s quite edgy, with its emo-lyrics style poems, but you’ll soon realize that whenever you thought to yourself, “edgelord tropes, when done right and with sincerity can actually be quite endearing”, this game would tick that box for you.
Aside from the music that was genuinely so captivating (so much so, that the first thing I’ve done after beating the game is purchase the soundtrack immediately), this game knows how not to drag. Combat…but not so much that you start forgetting the plot. Plot and dialogue…but not so much you feel you’re in a railroaded visual novel that you don’t care about. Edge…but not so much that your eyes roll so back, they get lost at the back of your skull. Uplifting moments of hope…but not so much that you feel it’s a feel-good Kumbaya game with a generic life lesson. Simplicity…but not so much that you feel that the dev is a coward, and you’re paying the price of their cowardice. Depth…but not so much that you feel you’re j*rking off the dev and how unique they think their philosophical takes are.
Sincerity. Sincerity is the keyword. When an artist is sincere, they don’t feel they have to overcompensate in any direction. The dev came, made something they think is beautiful, didn’t overstay their welcome, and left. And it’s that very attitude that will make this game live rent free in your head…but not so much. It will just linger there softly. Like a quiet passenger in the back of your head.

I am tired of having such a huge backlog. This got the lucky draw for my first step.... I can tell this game has good to it, but its definitely not something I am willing to commit 5-10 hours to complete. With such a big backlog, that's what I am basing my opinion and time spent in games on. If it is worth continuing. Unfortunately, Its not. But I see the good in it.

Una joyita escondida de Steam. Tiene un diseño visual hermoso y un diseño de niveles y trama interesantes. Es un juego de aventura para disfrutarlo la primera vez; los desarrolladores parece que trataron de que el juego sea rejugable pero, en lo personal, me aburrí a partir de la segunda vez que traté de pasarlo. Creo que no lograron crear un motivo para que los jugadores queramos volverlo a jugar, además de desbloquear uno que otro logro. Aún así, el juego es económico y, como dije, lo disfrutarás la primera vez que lo pases si te gustan los juegos de aventura, por lo que sí lo recomiendo.

Эта игра в жанре шутер, стилизованная под старый Doom, который познакомит вас со многими красивыми и отталкивающими мирами , местными жителями и такой, своеобразной ностальгической атмосферой того времени (так как когда я проходил данную игру, меня не покидало такое ощущение, что я играл в какой то мод по Квейку).
По сюжету вы берёте роль рандомного персонажа, который создаёте на ваш выбор и начинаете ваш долгий и интересный квест-приключение. Игра реально затягивает и заставляет задуматься о такой вещи как смысл жизни, так как сама игра не только хороша в плане визуала, но и пропитана этакими психологическими вопросами. Как например: есть ли жизнь после Смэрти?" и вот в таком духе.
Я нехочу даже эту тему поднимать, потому что игра очень неплохо с этим справляеться и убежать от этих вопросов было очень сложно ... Это часть нашего Бытия.
Лучше скажу что рекомендую данную игру, потому что недочётов я не нашёл да и сама игра-эт прямо как арбузная конфета- жуёшь её или сосёшь и такой вкусный, сладкий привкус ощущаете и некую страсть к исследованиям локаций.(Некоторые локации кстати, напомнили мне всеми нашумевший Бэкрумс или шоу Трумана, где небыло ни людей, а были какие то дома, окна, всякие там машины, или например лес.) А если и были люди, то они как то враждебно были настроены(а кроме людей, была ещё и какая то живность).
В игре есть несколько концовок, поэтому я бы лучше проходил игру так, как лично ВЫ думаете ...Как бы вы поступили))? Это вам и предстоит узнать, сыграв в данный продукт. А я ставлю игре свой заслуженный белый перчаточный лайк)).

Contras: La experiencia es corta y algo limitada, lo que hace que ciertos elementos no se aprovechen del todo. La narrativa puede resultar confusa y los enemigos o mecánicas no destacan especialmente.
Veredicto: 3,5 horas completando la historia principal, y aun así un juego que deja su impronta como una propuesta diferente e interesante dentro del indie. Recomendado para jugadores que disfruten de mundos extraños y experiencias cortas que invitan a la reflexión.

This game unironically changed how I view life. I never suffered from social anxiety, and to be honest didn't really understand how those people felt. Even though I know that that this game probably didn't *perfectly* depict it, I think I understand a little bit better and have more empathy for those people. Some of the stuff in this game also really made me think, and the poetry throughout was drop dead beautiful and even made me cry at a few points. Absolutely recommend this game, 10/10 experience that left me thinking.

I'll keep this first section spoiler free. It's not a bad game, though has a lot of room for improvement. It reminds me a lot of doom, with the artstyle and combat system. You get specific weapons per level and run through it, solving little puzzles or doing tasks to advance to the next stage. There are poems after sections of levels, but... i am not a fan of how they're written. There are also npcs that are important to the storyline and they do give you small choices, but that's kinda it. Overall i liked the game, but it was a little boring at times. I wouldn't play it again unless I decide to get all the achievements, but the pacifist one seems borderline impossible because enemies deal too much damage, especially if you enter a room full with them you go down pretty quickly.
Everything feels kinda meaningless. I get that the game is some sort of self-discovery thing or maybe even a purgatory of sorts for the main character, where they cope with their past life. The npcs are also just... there. They don't contribute to the story in a meaningful way, and despite the game trying to give you choices, they too feel meaningless. Extra efforts are awarded with an extra line of dialogue at most, but usually go uncommented. There are apparently multiple endings depending on how good or bad your actions were, but during gameplay I found very little room for creativity, since everything is kinda set in stone. Sure, you can spare the villain or end them, or murder innocents. But it literally feels meaningless as the plot doesn't change at all. The end result will be the same (from what I've seen). I feel like the game has a lot of potential, but the stiff npc dialogue, the unrelated poems, and the fast combat make it... underwhelming. Those aspects just don't really harmonise with each other, like three games have been mashed together and put in a doom-like shell. I also think that the dev might've been gong through some personal issues while making this game, which would explain the dark, and oddly personal undertones. Despite all that I enjoyed playing the game for a while
I went into this expecting a shooter game, but instead I got a reading and philosophy game.
It has multiple endings and secret achievements. It's short and cheap, and it took me almost 2 hours to reach one of the endings.
I enjoy the Retro (Boomer Shooter) genre, but the shooting feels very basic.
It's more of a reading game than an action, so be prepared. For the price, I recommend it.
I ain't reading all of that. game looked and felt the perfect amount of horror and wholesome. the "lessens" in the game, about the real world really surprised me. its not a big jam packed game that takes 8+ hours to play and enjoy but it is a nice short and surprisingly well made and put together psycho-logic horror that will make you think for a bit about life?
The game is quite enjoyable. It’s a retro-style FPS adventure (though not exactly a full “boomer shooter” ayou might expect from the preview images). Instead of following a single main theme, the game feels more like a collection of smaller mini-games. The presentation is decent, though I tend to skip much of the text since it comes across as trying to be deep and poetic, but doesn’t really succeed.
Overall, it’s a fun way to pass the time. The “Hard” mode isn’t truly difficult, it just drags in places, but I still strongly recommend starting on Hard from the beginning, as the easier modes make the game feel too trivial.

So this FPS is focused on philosophy and lots of questions related to death, personal issues to work through, acceptance etc. The FPS part is kept basic, it’s a great way to improve pacing. The game also has a few small segments (platforming, shmup etc) that add a bit of variety. The style of the game is great, some of the characters give the game a bit of charm and I like how the game tried to incorporate all of these elements. I am fully behind the game’s idea.
The issue is the philosophy part not paying off. It’s rather weak, not well written/explained and it feels like too much text is used to repeat the same thing while not making a lot of sense at the end. I don’t mind the game having lots of text and asking big questions but the quality needs to be better to warrant it.
I still had fun with the gameplay, style and overall variety but I decided to skip all text after completing the game the first time. You need to complete the game 5 times for the achievements, luckily it’s a short game. I wouldn’t have minded reading everything multiple times to get a better understanding but it’s really not worth it. For around 90% off I got my money’s worth and I enjoyed the game. It’s worth checking out if you want to experience it on sale and don’t take the game seriously. It took me less than 9 hours to get all the achievements.

Got this game for a dollar because of the deal. Certainly an interesting game. The game is shorter but I would say probably fairly priced for the length of the game. The story is decent. It definitely has replay value and the music is very well suited for the game itself. The graphics are rather stylized and if you like text based jrpgs you'll feel pretty at home. Overall I would personally not pay the full price but if you can find a discount then certainly pick it up.

Came for the Doom aesthetics, stayed for the story. If you're expecting a shooter, you might want to sit this one out. While there are moments where you shoot things, it's very basic and a small part of the game. Where this game really shines is the beautifully written dialogue and atmosphere. This game has a charm to it that I love so much. It's not a very long but I had a lot of fun and enjoyed the story. If you like story rich games that are more cozy than challenging, give this a try!

Decent game. Alot of the themes felt forced and eventually came off a bit flat. There were a few times though the introspective nature of what they were saying was interesting. Gameplay is your average boomer shooter but it's not the focus of the game. Cool art design and I dig the imagery, worth a play.
What's homie yappin' about? the game. I am a philosophical guy so this seemed up my alley but after beating the game this just plays and reads like an edgy teens journal. The story and philosophical ramblings at first were cool but by the end i was thinking this dude is just trying to sound deep without bothering to wonder if any of this makes sense or adds to the game itself. "This Strange Realm of Mine" is a retro pixelated FPS adventure game. In this game you venture forth on many completely random levels, and after each level is completed you return to your little safe haven, a "Tavern". During your travels you come to discover an abundant amount of poems, graffiti, and philosophical dialog about life and existentialism. The game's length is approximately 2 hours for a playthrough.
+ The best thing regarding this game is the music. The tracks vary on mellow drum and bass, synthwave, and spacey ambient tracks. Most are stellar, sound excellent, and are mastered well for headphones.
+ The story is intriguing and genuinely makes you think, lots of philosophy to read about life and death.
+ There is an interesting morality system for your character that is constantly at play behind the scenes. Eventually you see all your character's results at the end of the game.
+ The game has a nice relaxing atmosphere throughout.
+/- The levels vary from strikingly beautiful to short and boring. One level you are up in the clouds solving puzzles watching the sunset, and the next you are shooting 8bit creatures in a dungeon that feels as if you're playing a game from 1986.
- The shooting gameplay is laughably bad, there really isn't a game here. All the shooting sections feel as if you are in a minecraft game shooting cardboard cutouts. The first Doom came out 30 years ago and had miles better gameplay.
- Some of the achievements are bugged and I couldn't get them to unlock.
- The game is on sale often for $1.00, which is what I would say the game is worth. If I paid the full asking price of $13.00 plus tax I would be severely irritated.
All in all this is not really a game but more of an interactive experience, with lots of reading to digest.
If you are prepared and know what to expect, and buy it for the right reasons, you might enjoy it.

Одна из лучших индюшатин, которые я проходил. Я бы даже не делал поправку на то, что это индюшка, я бы просто сказал, что это отличная игра. Весьма разнообразный геймплей, глубокий подтекст, философствования, претенциозность, в конце вам и вовсе дают характеристику на основании тех выборов, которые вы сделали в игре. Эмбиент хорош, графика просто приятная, но арты здесь великолепные. В игре нет стандартных догм для игростроя, где вы самый обычный "тысячеликий герой". Здесь каждый ваш выбор подвергается самокопаниям и сомнениям. Иногда лень читать все диалоги, но при перепрохождении сделаю это обязательно, их не так уж и много, просто надо не спешить. Система ачивок, кстати, располагает к перепрохождению, ибо с первого взгляда я не нашёл каких то идиотических гринд-ачивок. В основном, всё связано с сюжетом и выборами, которые вы совершаете в ходе игры. ГОДНОТА, рекомендую (особенно если вы не нормис вонючий бомж каловый)

This Strange Realm of Mine - это странный гибрид FPS и интроспективного опыта. Игра будто бы не столько развлекает, сколько приглашает задуматься - о смерти, смысле, одиночестве и принятии. Необычная смесь форматов и жанров может показаться интересной, но только тем, кто заранее готов к медленному темпу и странным решениям. Сюжет разбросан фрагментами: философские монологи, метафоры, встречи с абстрактными персонажами и всё это завораживает и не успевает утомить благодаря продолжительности игры.

Edgy, angsty, preachy but still very fun and unique. Great for teens. Some of the levels geniunely impressed me. The music is great. The poems - alright. Rat's poems seemed better than D's. The secrets are nice and it was fun to look for them. Definetely gives you a great experience.
Overall a fun little game. While somewhat simplistic, I think the doom-style combat is nice and quite satisfying at times. Beware that a significant part consists of philosophical dialogue. I personally thought it was interesting to read through all of it, but if that's not what you're into then I doubt this game will be for you. It took me about 6 hours to get almost all achievements so it's not a long game.

Soft recommend. I didn't think it was as pretentious or preachy as other reviews. The dialogue is often quite hopeful and wholesome. I also didn't think the combat was as satisfying as other reviews, which is really quite simplistic. What was left was kind of just an okay experience with moments of oh that's neat that barely pushed it into recommend territory.
The art interspersed in the game is really quite good, the levels are varied, the soundtrack is pleasant, and it offers just enough new experiences to keep it from getting repetitive despite its short playtime. There's even a few secrets to find which I didn't expect given the small levels. At a 90% discount I didn't feel like my money was wasted. At this point you just gotta decide if it's worth a few hours of your time.
I loved this game, I tried making a lets play of it but my recording was scuffed but that's besides the point, the aesthetic and music was great, the art style too, I enjoyed the philosophical-ness of it all and genuinely has some interesting yet mind bending themes, would recommend. I also enjoyed how each level had a new mechanic and it didn't feel too repetitive. loved it through and through, kind of surprised it isn't more popular.

This game is good for some people, and bad for some people. If you play this game expecting an action shooting game, you might get dissapointed. I do find the advertising quite bad because they only show the shooting parts. But this game is philosophical. It has lots of deep meanings and you have to be good at understanding complex things. However, there IS quite some shooting and action in it, but alot of the time, you're reading things like dialogues and poems.

While the actual shooter gameplay isnt bad and has some legitimately satisfying moments, too much of this game is long sequences of introspective fake deep philosophy. I can tell the dev was probably going through something when they made this and while i wouldnt say everything they talk about is wrong its just all such surface level interpretation that it feels like a waste listening to all the dialogue while the npcs talk at you.

The game from the trailer showed to be like a Doom style shooter, with some silly mini-games interspersed. What it didn't show was the weird philosophical dialogue that is a large portion of the game. And even the Doom part isn't really that interesting. Shoot things in the head/melee them in the head until they die. Like literally zero nuance to the game-play. The philosophical part is way too preachy as well. Like if I wanted to attend philosophy class at my local college, I would do just that. Also, after playing for about 2 hours, I am pretty sure (based on the screenshots of the game) I was literally near the end of the game. Now on sale for $0.99, sure I'm sure SOMEONE out there will appreciate this. But not for me.

Очень порадовал психоаналитический вердикт в конце в зависимости от ваших действий. Ну и концепция Черного и Белого Богов тоже порадует отдельно знающих людей :) Игра достойная для разгрузки мозга. Рекомендую.
Однозначно, игра не для тех кому меньше 30-и. Тут надо додумывать мысль создателей и просто думать, а не плыть по течению игры. Сразу можно сказать, посыл тяжелый, скорее драма.

Definitely, the game is not for those who are under 30. Here it is necessary to think out the idea of the creators and just think, and not go with the flow of the game. You can tell right away that the message is heavy, more like a drama.
I'm sitting here thinking about the impression the game left.... but definitely hooked. And that means something. This game leaves an aftertaste. Absolutely no time is spared. A thinking game for well-read people. I recommend it!

It's definitely a great and unique experience, a gaming arthouse if you please. A journey through your mind to shape yourself. Gameplay is ok considering the game length, but it's not ok to replay and explore it more, so one ending for me only. And it's actually sad if some beautiful content is hidden behind 10 hrs of repetitive not so good gameplay of getting 4 other endings.
Also don't miss the rat on your first playthrough! I did, and I've never heard his poems :c
Surprisingly deep and meaningful. It addresses mental health and life's purpose in an approachable and thoughtful way. All while being a fun game to play. Highly recommend.
Such a unique and beautiful game philosophically and graphically. Its truly special and made me feel sad yet at peace the entire way through and no other game has made me feel the same.
An interesting little game. Lots of philosophical musings, not too demanding in the skill department, which is why 4 years ago I was able to complete it. I remember it got a bit tricky right toward the end, but the game is mainly about the experience and the things you encounter and the people you talk to a long the way.
Certainly it is an experience and maybe it's time I revisited it.

I'm sure this was some kind of cathartic experience for the dev(s) but boy does this game think it has it all figured out and sniffs its own farts. The gameplay (when you actually get to it) is tight and VERY satisfying, but half the game is trying to be deep with shallow ignorant thought that masquerades as complex wisdom. It even tries to judge you at the end which is ironic. Btw, it is not even close to accurate. Gameplay wise, it is fun but not worth the slog of the rest. The last chunk drags forever. I just can't recommend.

Una experiencia filosófica, bonita y, a la par, inquietante. Es un juego que te hace cuestionar la realidad de la existencia, de lo que implica ser humano y su relación con el universo. Es cierto que el apartado artístico puede parecer adorable y hecho para niños, pero la verdad es que el planteamiento que propone el juego y lo que trata de explicar es más para un público mayor.
Al juego le vendría muy bien subtítulos para todos aquellos que les cuesta entender el inglés, ya que tiene interesantes lecturas que hacer y así entender bien la historia.
En general, una pequeña joya de juego con un gameplay divertido y con algunos puzles, y que sobretodo destaca por lo que nos quiere transmitir su historia.
Lo recomiendo.

While the gunplay is weak, the rest of the package more than makes up for it. Interesting environments and novel storytelling keeps it entertaining through the entire experience.
I really had fun with it, the game is beautiful with its own retro vibes, the very philosophical nature mixed with the understanding of psychologial disorders and moral dilemmas makes it a very full game, your choices affect your ending.
Guns are pretty basic but they work as expected and sound very good.
The enemies are varied, from weird deformed monsters to rats thugs, well inspired designs.
Npcs are well done, unfortunatelly spme of them don't have much screen time, but all of them have their own struggle, making them more believable and we, the player, getting closer to them as much as we speak.
Anyway, I would totally recomend playing, great and fun game, doesn't overstay it's welcome, works in pretty much all machines (worked on mine on ultra, which is uncommon), so have fun with the game, it's worth it!

Lately I've had a hard time finding the time for games, and selecting games that I can really stick with. Most are so long anymore that I reach a certain point and just hang up the controller after so many hours because I just feel I'm in the same loop or it gets too difficult. I guess as I'm getting older, I'm becoming more casual than I used to be.
I completed This Strange Realm of Mine in just under 2 hours, which was the perfect little bite-sized adventure for me right now. It tackles a lot of existential and introspective topics on life. You gather (if you so choose) a merry band of individuals you meet along your realm hopping who give you advice on how best to carry on with life and grow as a person. It really came at an interesting time because in my struggle with finding the right games, I feel like I'm losing a bit of my identity or purpose. Gaming means so much to me, so why is it that I seem to be struggling in enjoying them right now?
TSRoM doesn't exactly come to a head on any one of these ideologies, but that's okay because I think most of the perspective is given to you so that you come to your own conclusions. I think I came out on the other side just a little more reassured that my internal wars and constant fears do add up to something, and that I will improve as I continue my journey in this life.
If you're not into that, then this game offers a pretty challenge-less FPS experience with levels that have such unique identities to them at every transition. Even though you're shooting and doing some light puzzle solving through its runtime, it doesn't ever feel like you're repeating what you've done before. I also want to mention the memorable soundtrack it offers. Some tracks are little more repetitive than others, but I'd happily jam to most of these in my daily life. You can pick up the soundtrack for a mere $2, which I think I will definitely do.
For someone looking for a short but effective gaming experience to knock out in an afternoon, I'd really consider going with this game. $10 may be a tad bit steep for something just around 2 hours, but if it's on sale, pull the trigger right away.

This game was a lot of fun, I think it took me a little getting used to to understand what I was doing and what I needed to do but my time with it was great. I enjoyed all the characters I met and the fast pace in changes of environment kept me engaged alongside the psychological and philosophical aspect. Definitely recommend if you're into something interesting if short.
