Was having a great time until I ran into the same softlock in the garden area that several other people have. Game's difficulty is all over the place, as is the functionality of both its over the shoulder and fixed camera modes.
For all the game's attempts to do everything at once, it seems none of these were tested properly.

While the game is fun to play for what it is, the game starts out strong but quickly derails as you progress.
The game has flaws with some design choices. These choices make the game frustrating at times. Bosses aren't well done they are bullet sponges and take you out in 3 or 5 hits if you are lucky. animation locks are a pain in this game as well since you can't really animation cancel them. The story doesn't seem very well thought out or make much sense overall..
Now I understand this is a game that's heavily inspired by the RE franchise and that's a good thing. what isn't so good is just how much backtracking this game has compared to other games like this. it does become quite tedious after a while, especially when there's very little to tell what you are supposed to be doing with items needed for progression.
the game has multiple endings so it has replay value in that aspect which can unlock costumes and other things like infinite ammo weapons.
The game was okay overall but I just can't recommend it at full price so I would wait for big sale on it if you plan to give the game a shot. My rating 5/10

If you are looking for an old school survival horror style game this game should definitely be added to your list of games to purchase. Great atmosphere and old school survivor horror vibes. I love how they made it so the camera angle can either be fixed for the old school feel or set to over the shoulder or first person for a more modern feel. I have about 3 hours in the game so far and i must say there is plenty of puzzles and zombies to keep things interesting. So far i have not encountered any bugs and the game runs as smooth as can be. Can definitely feel the old Resident Evil 1 through Code Veronica vibes in this game. Highly recommend.

It just gets more and more convoluted and confusing halfway in. Looses focus, I just couldnt finish it. Tormented Souls is sooo mich better.
Just a poor attempt at a RE clone. Starts off OK but just goes off the rails as soon as the mansion setting is left behind. Would never play again...

Let me start off by saying that this IS a good game, but I got annoyed very quickly. You'll love it if you're looking for classic survival horror.
The good things are:
1. You can use a controller.
2. The main character looks good.
3. The atmosphere is immersive, and you aren't some super soldier or whatever. Instead you play as an average woman who needs to fight to survive against the monsters.
4. The music adds to the atmosphere instead of ruining it like other games.
5. You can play in first person, over the shoulder third person, or you can use the (awful) tank controls. The choice is YOURS to make, and I think that's the best part, player choice.
6: I had no lag or crashes at all.
7.Items don't despawn when you drop them. (At least they didn't for me.)
The bad/annoying things are:
1: The puzzles can be a bit annoying. You'll need to backtrack several times to find all of the keys to move on, assuming you don't get annoyed or lost like I did.
2. You need to find a record and record player to save. The record eats a slot in your very limited inventory.
3. If you find an item that can be combined, but you have a full inventory, you'll need to drop an item, pick that one up, combine it, then pick your other item back up. Why can't I just pick up an item and combine it or use it in the moment?
Honestly I'd give this game a 9/10. It's really fun. I hope there will be a sequel.

Введение:
Я приобрёл эту игру вместе с "Tormented Souls" она шла как дополнительный пакет по скидки и в общем не жалею! Игра прикольная но имеет ряд вещей которые мне понравились меньше чем "Tormented Souls" но есть и плюсы! К тому же тут есть возможность поставить её от 3 лица! Мне это безумно понравилось! Если вам нравится подобные игры на выживание с головоломками то советую! Головоломки тут не сильно сложные в "Tormented Souls" они многоступенчатые (То есть если ты нашёл к примеру выключатель это не значит что ты его просто активируешь и загадка решена! А нужно ещё пораскинуть мозгом для чего он нужен и что с ним делать! И как правильно сделать!). Тут же загадки проще карты длиннее. Ближе к Резиденту мне показалось и целых 6 концовок! + Дополнительный контент. Если решил установить могу дать совет если будешь играть от 3 лица! Использование ножа от третьего лица через пробел! От фиксированной камеры на ЛКМ! Я в руководстве эту тонкость не увидел! Подумал глюк игры но разобрался, чтобы вы не тратили своё время. Смело устанавливайте и играйте игра интересная. А теперь перейду к разбору ОСТОРОЖНО СПОЙЛЕРЫ!
Что понравилось:
1- Игра от 3-го лица! Я мало люблю фиксированные камеры потому что не вижу врагов! Как правило не могу правильно сразу среагировать - от 3 лица я даже нашёл как убить "Садовника" просто забравшись на крышу оранжереи! XD. Расстрел босса с вышки прошёл успешно, он доплюнуть до тебя не может...
2- 6 концовок и в игре! Это классно! + Дополнительные костюмы за правильное прохождение, да это супер пройти тянет игру несколько раз подряд! НО, ребят нужно её досконально пройти! Я "Привратника" во второй фазе пропустил и он просто исчез! (Если будете играть постарайтесь не уходить с локации и убить его! А то как я побежал за припасами а его нет... На сюжет это сильно не повлияет поэтому тут + и -).
3- Подход к инвентарю XD Забавный! Сначала я складывал все вещи у входа в замок потом оказалось есть сундук! Вместе с тайной комнатой! Что будет тебя преследовать во время прохождения! Прикольно, особенно что большинство вещей просто выкидываешь на пол а потом забираешь с куба и они не пропадают! Удивили в общем! Браво.
Что не понравилось:
1- Кнопочное управление в инвентаре! - Ну Ребят охота поводить мышкой помедитировать! Чем тыкать на кнопки и использованием и объединением предметов, со временем привыкнешь но в начале этого явно не хватает! (Скорее всего потому что заточка больше под джостик).
2- Постоянное увеличение пространства в коридорном стиле! - Тебе словно намерено закрывают близкие двери чтобы ты бегал по кругу. Иногда доходит до абсурда что большую часть времени ты просто бежишь скинуть вещи в комнату. По мимо этого я часто упирался в невидимые стены что мешали играть (Первая битва с Привратником - вроде часть дороги а ты утыкаешься в стену...)
3- По сюжету я мало понял почему она (ГГ) оказалась на острове? Почему там она думала что есть её дочь? Отсылки что она там есть пошли только ближе к концу! (Лучше б закинули инфу в начале о дочери и что ГГ поняла что она там (В замке) пару писем хотя б! А так получается проснулась неясно знает где и в разговоре с выжившим говорит что ищет дочь? Что за бред! XD С чего ты решила что она тут?. (Ладно спишем на эффект одной из концовок игре XD).
Общий Итог:
Игра хорошая! Имеет свои шероховатости но играть приятно, когда понимаешь весь гейплей игры. Пройти несколько раз тебя просто заставляют! Потому что после первого прохождения у тебя остаётся много неоткрытых дверей и тайных проходов и куча вопросов! Ещё и концовка скорее всего не самая лучшая! XD. Я вообще на крышу собора не попал и убежал на вертолёте (3 концовка XD). Рекомендую к ознакомлению! А если вам нравится вытягивать из игры все что только можно то раз 5-6 её точно будет пройти интересно.
The game is rough around the edges but has several redeeming factors. The story is no great shakes, but neither was Resident Evil 1 or 2 when originally released. The game is oozing with beautiful props, models, textures, artwork - some of the best I have seen from an Unreal Engine 3 game. The soundtrack is spot-on and succeeds in setting the eerie, creepy vibe required to play this type of game. The game is not so easy even on easy mode and the devs have done a great job making you feel desolate. The over the shoulder gameplay is akin to RE4 without the action melee tricks or QTEs that game had, while the fixed camera view is more like RE0. Overall I highly recommend this game, the audio mixing and visual treats are excellent. I hope TendoGames has more in store for us.

Fantastic Resident Evil clone survival horror game with lots of puzzles, and survival combat. You get a fantastic , long game for your money. For RE fans it is HIGHLY recommended!!
Классная игруха - помесь резика, сайлент хила немного, местами the evil within 2 напоминало (когда первый раз играли за Пола). Советую всем любителям мрачных хорроров. Отдельная тема это музыка в игре - пластинки и музыка на файтингах, прям кайфанула)) Геймплей в целом норм, хоть и есть ньюансы. Сюжет прикольный) Короче по скидосу прям советую зацепить и обязательно добить до хорошей концовки.

Well... I can't say i did not try the game. I have put in about 5 hours in the game and while it is not a terrible game it is disorganized while you play it. There really is no clue on what you are doing, or where you are going. I understand there this is supposed to compare to RE and Silent hill in previous gens, but this one leaves a lot of questions on what you are supposed to be doing. Maybe I'll give it another go in the future and if those who are asking where i ended i was in the graveyard area which is sad because how much it took to get there only to have to look up a guide on how to move forward yet again. I understand back tracking is big in these games, but i do not want to have to go to the beginning where i started to come all the way back to my current progression to continue moving forward. Maybe someone can explain it to me in the future, but it is not terrible by no means.

Was mir auffällt: es gibt viel zu viele Gegner, aber die Munition ist extrem knapp. Das macht das Spiel gleichzeitig spannend und frustrierend, weil man oft entscheiden muss, ob man kämpft oder lieber wegrennt.
Für Fans von klassischen Survival-Horror-Erlebnissen ist Them and Us definitiv einen Blick wert. Es motiviert dazu, vorsichtig zu spielen, die Umgebung zu erkunden und taktisch vorzugehen – einfache Lösungen gibt es hier nicht.

Joguei umas 6 horas e desisti de vez. Paguei 16 reais (na promoção cai pra uns 13), mas foi dinheiro jogado fora. Se você gosta de survival horror de verdade, tipo Resident Evil clássico ou Silent Hill, nem instale isso.
O jogo não sabe o que quer ser. Mistura tudo sem critério: zumbis que eles nao dizem ser zumbis,cachorros zumbis, criaturas que lembram Silent Hill mas mal feitas, dimensões paralelas, fantasmas... É uma salada confusa, sem coerência nenhuma. Fica difícil entender o que tá rolando.
Gráficos e técnicos:
A mansão tem uma atmosfera decente, com partículas de poeira, luz e fogo que até salvam um pouco. A protagonista é bem modelada. Mas os inimigos são genéricos e feios pra caramba, o sangue parece porcaria, sombras bugam o tempo todo. O pior: toda porta tem tela de loading. Toda mesmo! Em pleno 2021 (e agora em 2026 ainda pior), isso é ridículo. Resident Evil 4 no PS2 tinha menos tela de carregamento. Com tanto backtracking, vira um inferno chato e repetitivo.
Jogabilidade e combate:
O combate é horrível. Animações lentas, delay em cada ação (faca, tiro, recarga), hitbox uma merda — você erra na cara do inimigo, mas ele te acerta de longe sem esforço. Testei no fácil e médio, e a dificuldade é artificial: inimigo em cada canto, munição quase inexistente forçando usar faca que não acerta.
Trilha sonora:
Tem a ousadia de cobrar a OST original separada! Num jogo indie assim? Absurdo. O que vem no jogo é genérico, usa Beethoven e clássicos aleatórios. Nada que fique na cabeça.
História:
Começa até razoável: presa por crime que não cometeu, ônibus capota, acorda na mansão de um culto com mestre centenário. Mas depois disso? Quase nada explicado direito. Por que zumbis? Por que fantasmas? Por que dimensão paralela? Fica tudo solto no ar, irritante pra caralho.
Conclusão:
Por 13-16 reais, dá pra pegar Control em promoção (já vi por 10) ou esperar uma sale da Capcom e comprar um Resident Evil remake decente. Tem um potencialzinho na vibe da mansão, mas os loadings infinitos, combate quebrado e narrativa bagunçada acabam com qualquer vontade de continuar.
Não recomendo de jeito nenhum. 0/10. Economize seu tempo e seu dinheiro.

Apesar de ser um projeto de um estúdio menor, creio que os apreciadores da era de ouro de "Resident Evil" e "Silent Hill" também irão apreciar o esforço em entregar uma experiência que respeita as raízes do gênero.
Eu disse que este jogo é focado na sobrevivência, mas é claro que há muita estratégia envolvida, especialmente na gestão do seu inventário e na escolha de quais inimigos enfrentar. No papel de Alicia, você se vê presa em uma mansão e seus arredores após um acidente terrível, e o jogador precisa decidir constantemente se vale a pena gastar suas poucas balas em um morto-vivo no corredor ou se é melhor tentar contorná-lo. O jogo oferece diferentes modos de câmera (fixa, sobre o ombro ou em primeira pessoa), e escolhendo a câmera fixa, a tensão aumenta drasticamente, pois você nunca sabe o que está esperando na próxima esquina. Houve situações em que precisei carregar um save antigo porque percebi que não teria recursos suficientes para avançar, o que ensina que a prudência é a melhor arma contra o desconhecido.
Ainda sobre a atmosfera, aqui há um conceito muito importante, que é o isolamento e o moral do jogador. Como em todo bom survival horror, o som ambiente e a iluminação precária alteram sua percepção de segurança no jogo. Por exemplo: se você ouve um gemido vindo da escuridão e suas mãos estão vazias, o medo é real. Você não precisará apenas de reflexos rápidos, mas antes é preciso paciência para desvendar os segredos de "Them and Us" e coragem para enfrentar o que vive nas sombras.
Enfim, recomendo.
This is not exactly a great game, it's not.... the worst, but like wow I just can't keep going. Convoluted and sprawling level design and moon logic puzzles. This is Temu Resident Evil with a capital T.

Para os fanáticos da série Resident Evil, Them and Us traz de volta toda a imersão presente nos jogos de terror com temática zumbi do início dos anos 2000. O título conta com uma história envolvente, personagens cativantes e um vasto arsenal de armas, capazes de prender o jogador por horas de gameplay, do início ao fim.
La verdad me pareció un juegarral. Es un survival horror de la vieja escuela, con muchos finales, armas, jefes y alguno que otro puzzle mas o menos raro.
Es una oda a los primeros Resident Evil. Es muy disfrutable y te invita a por lo menos terminarlo dos veces.
Dale una oportunidad que no te vas a arrepentir.
Si sos un pibardo que le pinto jugarlo podes elegir si jugarlo a vieja escuela con camara fija sino tenes la posibilidad de jugarlo con camara al hombro o tipo FPS. Dale que esta bueno.
Eu vou dizer, terminei de jogar Tormented Souls e parti para o próximo survival horror que tinha na minha biblioteca de jogos, e posso dizer que Them and Us é muito decepcionante. Tentei gostar, mas algumas escolhas são questionáveis.
- Primeiro porque tantas chaves? o jogo parece um Silent hill com a quantidade de portas, a diferença que no SH você entra em apenas algumas e não tem que coletar dezenas de chaves pra cada uma.
- Segundo o porque de tantos zumbis? você tem munição pra matar quase nada, e a cada sala pelo menos 1 ou mais zumbi, corredor principal e etc. Eles não são difíceis de atrair e esquivar é verdade, mas somando o backtrack que tem que fazer pra acessar as portas com chaves que você não tinha, fica muito entediante toda hora esquivando. Esquivar ou deixar de ir em algum lugar com inimigos, tem que ser uma estratégia de economia de munição em jogos survival, não uma necessidade que o jogo impõe.
- Terceiro para um jogo com muitas curas e muitas chaves o espaço no inventário é ridículo, e ao contrario do RE0 que você tem 2 pessoas para armazenar itens, você ainda consegue ter muitas salas safe centrais para servir como "baú", ao contrario desse jogo que tem inimigo pra tudo que é lado.
Eu diria que dos recentes que zerei como disse Tormented Souls, o Alissa e até Crow County. Esse sem duvida foi o mais fraco e menos atrativo para seguir jogando.
Só faltou a opção de manter a trilha sonora original da sala de save e excluir o mundo dos portais da história do game, fora isso é um jogo muito bom
バイオハザードそっくりのゲームですが、やってみると非常に面白いです！どこか既視感がありつつも新たな気分でサバイバルホラーが楽しめますのでバイオハザードが好きなら絶対におススメ。
あと凄いと思ったのがバイオ1のような固定画面、RE2のような三人称視点、7のような一人称視点を新規スタート時に選択出来るのが非常にいいですね＾＾
難点は蓄音機に使うレコードがないとセーブ出来ない事。バイオでいうタイプライターとインクリボンの関係ですね。このレコードの数が鬼畜レベルに少なくてココで止めたいと思っても止められないのが非常にキツイです！場合によってはイライラしますよ＾＾；オートセーブも一応ありますがセーブポイントのタイミングがかなり限定的なので助かるかは運によりますね。レコードはセーブルームに最低1つは置いて欲しかったです・・
Pero dónde estaba esta joya escondida? el juego me transporta a tiempos remotos de los primeros resident. Me ha encantado, y no entiendo qué se le puede criticar. Es mucho más complejo de lo que parece en principio y genialmente construido. Superdivertido. Genial.
Um ótimo Indie inspirado em Resident Evil, e seus aspectos principais.
Juego indie del género survival horror muy inspirado por la saga Resident Evil del 1 al 4, ofrece distintos modos de cámara (Primera persona, tercera persona y cámara fija), varias dificultades, los escenarios son muy extensos y hay posibilidad de hacer backtracking hasta el inicio del juego básicamente, o sea, se puede volver muy atrás sin importar cuanto hayas avanzado, haciendo excepción en el segmento final que solo se puede avanzar.
Tal vez las críticas sean algo duras principalmente por la historia, ya que sinceramente no es muy buena y tampoco está bien contada, estas casi todo el juego sin entenderla bien y al final te revelan algunas cosas de forma muy forzada, aún así tiene varios finales el juego por lo que dependiendo cual camino elijas te puedes perder de aspectos esenciales de la trama.
De todas formas creo que cumple para acompañar el gameplay el cual a veces puede ser un poco rígido como eran los primeros Resident Evil. Hay varias armas, escasez de municiones y recursos, muchas llaves y puertas bloqueadas.
Los jefes son frustrantes, agrego que lo jugué en la máxima dificultad, por lo general te abruman en espacios cerrados y te persiguen sin parar, el jefe final tiene un escenario más grande, aún así la batalla final no me resultó nada divertida, le gané de pura suerte con las últimas municiones que me quedaban.
Hay algunos puzzles básicos y otros que no están muy bien planteados, no son imposibles, pero se puede pasar un buen rato intentando resolverlos. Los gráficos están algo anticuados pero personalmente no me molesta.
A pesar de los aspectos negativos, es un juego divertido que cumple como survival horror, te puede pegar algún que otro susto y ponerte tenso cuando no tienes recursos, poca vida, te persiguen enemigos y hace un buen rato que no guardaste la partida, le doy un 6/10.
Creo que es un juego que si algún día le hacen un remake mejorando varios aspectos y la historia, podrían lograr un muy buen resultado.

На выбор два положения камеры - фиксированная (как в классических играх серии Resident Evil) и вид со спины персонажа.
Разумеется, это все для тех, кто любит старую добрую классику - гигантский особняк с кучей комнат, комнатушек и коридорчиков и такие же гигантские прилегающие территории, инвентарь с шестью ячейками (причем две из них надо еще разблокировать, подобрав рюкзак), загадки и сохранения в определенных точках с использованием пластинок (кстати, интересно тут сохранения сделали - на пластинках играет классическая музыка, разные композиции на разных пластинках).
Пластинки эти одноразовые (кроме легкого уровня сложности), так что тратить надо с умом. А учитывая, что поначалу у нас страшная нехватка патронов и лечилок (а сначала и вовсе один нож), то прямо переносишься в те времена, когда не придумали еще никаких автосейвов (хотя тут они есть, но настолько редко, что можно сказать, что их нет)).
Ящика для хранения барахла, который был в играх Resident Evil, тут как такового нет. Точнее, он есть, но туда надо еще попасть (и это будет сильно не сразу). Потому бросаем все, что в данный момент не нужно, прямо на землю (главное, не забывать, что именно бросаем, а то я в одном месте страшно затупила, на три раза оббегала локацию, пока не вспомнила, что у меня вообще-то где-то валяется нужный предмет). Где именно бросаем, надо помнить только до определенного момента, а потом нам дадут возможность брать это в одном месте.
Врагов тут прямо разнообразие - и классические зомби, и собаки, и вороны, и культисты, и какие-то демоны, и даже еще кое-кто (они, конечно, по игре идут как культисты, но по ним прямо явно видно, что они принадлежат к другому виду, и в одном месте жирный такой намек)). Боссов немного.
Карта тут тоже классическая - какие-то опорные точки там, конечно, обозначены, и двери, от которых у нас есть ключи, нам показывают, но в целом заблудиться тут раз плюнуть.
Есть возможность поменять костюмы (три доступны сразу, еще несколько - DLC, остальное надо разблокировать).
Концовок тут несколько, некоторые доступны только в новой игре + (хотя я после окончания игры загрузила одно из последних сохранений и почти все получила по сути в первом прохождении, для оставшейся концовки нужен другой вариант прохождения, доступный только в НГ+). Вообще, слотов сохранения тут уйма, лучше сохраняться в разные слоты, но в целом, критическое значение имеет то сохранение, перед которым Алиша говорит, что пути назад не будет (огромное спасибо разработчикам, что добавили такое предупреждение!)
А вот начет новой игры плюс... Это оказалось вообще не то, чего я ожидала. Так что, не рассчитывайте на нее особо.
Есть отсылки к разным культовым играм (не только RE). И не только к играм.
Если совать свой нос во все углы и пылесосить локации, то игра очень длинная, первое прохождение часов на 18-20. И то, я не везде пропылесосила, судя по неполученным достижениям.
В паре мест у меня случились вылеты (один по непонятной причине, пришлось переключиться на английский язык из меню в стиме, второй был у многих, что помогло не знаю - по советам из обсуждения я удалила папку Config и поменяла костюм).
Но несмотря на эти вылеты и небольшое разочарование от НГ+, игра мне очень, прямо очень понравилась. И если особенности старых игр вас не пугают - то однозначно надо в нее играть.
P. S.: дополнение - все вышенаписанное не относится к сложности хард (на профессионале, подозреваю, все аналогично). Врагов значительно больше, патронов не хватает, аптечек тоже, автосейвов нет, а предметы надо брать и выкидывать очень аккуратно - [spoiler] теперь возможность забрать их из коробки Плутоса исключительно платная, а текущую локацию предмета увидеть нельзя. Так что если выкинуть бездумно сюжетный предмет, то потом можно ооочень долго бродить по всем локациям в поисках, или же как-то исхитряться и убивать портальных демонов, чтобы были средства выкупить предмет [/spoiler]. Вот с пластинками по большому счету проблем нет, даже в начале. Под конец игры у меня валяется парочка в ящике, да где-то пара выкинутых (не стала их искать).
Bellissimo il gioco è un mix fra resident evil ed eternal darkness misto fra horror e lovecraft. La prima volta che lo giocai fu nel 2024 oggi nel 2026 ho iniziato la mia seconda run. La trama è semplice perchè è un'indie ma per me va bene lo stesso. La grafica è ottima, gameplay un pelo legnosetto ma puoi scegliere fra camera angolare o terza persona, l'audio è buono, la durata si aggira intorno alle 15-20 ore godibile quindi lo preferisco di gran lunga a giochi che durano 50-100 ore. Questo gioco insieme a Tormented souls sono forse i due migliori indie che potete giocare oggi per me voto 9

AVOID THE FIXED CAMERA MODE
I know about 90% of the people who play this game will play it in either Over the Shoulder or First Person, but for those like me who prefer the fixed camera perspective, just don't do it. The game is ridiculously hard and unbalanced around it. I'm a veteran of old school survival horror and I can usually do pretty well in them, but this game was just unbearable as the amount of zombies they put you up against, with how slow the movement is (I used tank controls), the extremely scarce ammo, how easy it is for the character to miss despite the game having a lock on, the randomness of enemies charging you and how slow the fire rate and recover on shooting the guns is makes the difficulty just feel punishing, unsatisfying and frustrating. In Resident Evil and Silent Hill they knew when to give you ammo, when to put enemies and where to put them to give you a challenging but manageable fight.
But once you switch the game over to Over the Shoulder, oh man does the game get way better. Those zombies that took 7 bullets (If you didn't miss) to kill now can be killed in 1-4 bullets, if you aim for the head, which is easy because the zombies are slow. Oh and the knife in this perspective is so much better as you can walk backwards while attacking in the same time. In the fixed perspective you had to stand completely still which left you vulnerable. In this mode you'll actually have a huge abundance of ammo, so there isn't much reason to be overly conservative.
As for the rest of the game, well, the puzzles can be frustrating as they'll be pretty obscure to figure out and solving them is unsatisfying, but I suppose for the most part they're okay. The level design is pretty great, I loved the mansion and the way you backtrack through the key items will make any old school RE fan happy. As for the courtyard, it's well designed, but I find it weird that they chose to have this be where you spend half the game since it's not very spooky to me. The graphics are what you expect from an indie game so they're okay, but I do feel like they don't do a very good job in making the game feel horrorish or atmospheric. There is a lot of jankyness and other things that make the game feel like an indie game, but I don't think that should be held against them.
Overall the game is good, I'm glad I didn't quit the game as I was originally going to due to the poorly designed fixed camera mode. I'm hoping these devs have learned a lot from making this game and will go on to make something even better!
Não sou muito de avaliar jogos mas esse aqui tive que voltar pra comentar, se vc curte Resident Evil clássico e Silent Hill não pense duas vezes, quue jogão velho. A ambientação é linda e macabra, a mansão do game deixa a mansão Spencer no chinelo, há muito tempo eu não me prendia em um jogo de terror. Parabens aos desenvolvedores, espero que tenha sucesso e venha logo o 2. Jogo 10/10.

Questo titolo prende spunto da questi mostri sacri e lo fa piuttosto bene; atmosfera ed ambientazioni sono veramente apprezzabili, forse l'unica pecca è la quasi totale mancanza di dialoghi.
Pertanto complimenti agli sviluppatori e gioco da consigliare sicuramente per i fans del genere.

Bel gioco ispirato fortemente a Resident Evil, Silent hill e simili.
Carina la possibilità di poter giocare sia con telecamera fissa alla vecchia maniera o con telecamera dietro la spalla.
Grafica non male nel complesso, non eccelle particolarmente ma dà una buona atmosfera; uniche pecche di questo titolo sono:
-Giocando in modalità con telecamera fissa con i cambi inquadratura ogni tanto i controlli si sballano e se ti sta inseguendo un nemico spesso ti capita di finirgli tra le braccia
- Backtracking leggermente esagerato, non dico sia per forza un male ma l'ho trovato abbastanza noioso personalmente, soprattutto nella seconda parte del gioco.
-Zombie troppo facili da schivare, non risultano a mio avviso un reale pericolo
-Storia abbastanza anonima che dà l'impressione di essere stata presa da vari giochi survival horror del passato e fusa insieme (es. Alone in the Dark, Resident evil, Silent Hill ecc..)
Nel complesso però lo consiglio per gli appassionati del genere. Da comprare quando scontato e non a prezzo pieno a parer mio.
Great atmosphere, level design, story and gameplay. So much fun. I wish it was longer.
Strong survival horror with some unfortunate flaws that will make it very much "not for everyone", but those who it is for will love it.
Released in 2021, early in the days of the recent fixed camera/tank controls revival, Them and Us is a cool tribute to Resident Evil and Silent Hill (moreso the former in gameplay, and a bit of a blend between the two thematically), one that does a lot of things better than almost any other game in this survival horror renaissance, but also comes with some serious flaws that mean that, as much as I enjoyed it, some people are going to bounce off of it, hard.
Let's just get the big one out of the way early -- several of the puzzles in the second half of the game *will* send you running to a walkthrough. Two have literally no hints at all as to what you're supposed to do; another has a very vague hint that looks like it's a hint for another puzzle *and* a misleading "fake hint" in the room with the puzzle itself. It's frequently really hard to guess what key items can be used where (the number of places that say simply "it has a round indent" is insane), which leads to situations where you have no idea if any of the key items sitting back at your item box are what you need or if you just need to come back later. If you're a primarily puzzle-driven survival horror player, "hem And Us is almost certainly *not* the game for you.
In terms of atmosphere and aesthetics, it's not bad, but a lot of it is a bit generic. It puts its best foot forward here at the start -- the early areas of the mansion are the best looking part of the game, with a lot less care taken for a lot of the later stuff. Much of it lacks cohesion, with the Otherworld and the portals not jelling with the rest of the game's aesthetic well at all, and there's some pretty jarring texture misalignments in some of the exterior areas. It's never terrible, but outside of the northern-most side of the mansion itself, it doesn't have a strong aesthetic identity -- despite being "lower fidelity", even games like Alisa or Heartworm are stronger in this regard, and The Mute House or Tormented Souls both leave it in the dust.
Where Them And Us excels however, beyond anything else I've played in the recent fixed-camera revival, is in the *survival* part of survival horror. It *nails* the "planning routes around a small gameworld, figuring out what items you should take with you as you do so, and figuring out how to use your limited resources" part of survival horror gameplay. Especially early on, resources are genuinely *tight* -- you simply will have to avoid enemies for much of the game -- and save items (here, it's vinyl records of classical music that you play on phonographs taking the role of the classic ink ribbons and typewriters) are also scarce (and only come in packs of one, unlike the packs of three that RE fans are more used to). If you're like me, and that type of survival planning is your favorite part of classic survival horror, then Them and Us is an absolute feast, and one that you probably overlooked; while I think that, in terms of overall package, The Mute House comes out ahead of it and is clearly the best game thus far out of the recent genre revival, if you're the right kind of player then you'll want to try Them And Us for certain.
It's probably worth noting that the above review is for the "fixed camera" mode, which is the only way I've played the game. The option is also there for a close over-the-shoulder third person mode, as well as a first person mode, and these modes change more than you'd expect, with item and enemy placement reworked and even a few areas having different layouts; however, I've only played the fixed camera mode.

В этой игре нельзя изменить скорость камеры при игре на геймпаде. Рефанд
Чудовищный кривой высeр из aнуса сифилитического ишака. Пластинки сохранения даются раз в час игры. Иногда реже. Героиня медленная, будто у нее на ногах гири. Ваш инвентарь вмещает в себя максимум 8 предметов из которых с вами всегда должны быть нож, пистолет, дробовик, патроны для пистолета и патроны для дробовика. Правильно, у вас будет 3 слота под ключевые предмет и аптечку. При этом иногда ключевых предметов будет шесть. Шесть одинаковых предметов которые не стакаются. И да, ваша пластинка сохранения тоже должна занимать слот. Отдельный привет тем кто делал ребят с серпами. Как их побеждать... Около двадцати секунд бегаем кругами вокруг пока этот товарищ не совершит какое-либо движение кроме бега. Это бросок серпа или взмах серпом. Это наше окно для одного(!) выстрела или перезарядки. Повторить 50 раз. Единственное ходовое оружие в игре это дробовик — без него у вас не будет шанса против половины противников. Но патронов к нему настолько мало и они будут настолько необходимы в середине и ближе к концу игры что вам придется максимально использовать пистолет на тех на ком можно и нож на тех на кого жалко тратить патроны от пистолета. Это связано с тем что увернуться от почти любого противника кроме зомби нельзя, заблокировать его атаку тоже нельзя и убежать от него в узком коридоре не получится. Держать дистанцию тоже проблематично потому что наша героиня после прицеливания требует времени чтобы убрать дробаш или пистолет от свибла и пока анимация не проиграется она не будет переходить на бег. Это мерзость перед Господом а не дизайн. При этом окружение в игре сделано очень красиво и душевно, тем обиднее что игровой процесс настроен так ужасающе отвратительно.

I really enjoyed the retro nature of the game - I played the original RE series as they came out. It's not a bad game at all but it is punishing (e.g., if you miss getting a certain weapon) and the puzzle solutions range from very simple to obscure. Lots of credit to the team that made this - but it exahusted my patience eventualy.

The weakly named Them and Us is like a survival horror theme park. Not for a moment is it trying to do anything original - instead, it's entirely made up of well-worn horror tropes that we've all known and loved for decades.
Everything from the enemies (zombies, cultists, zombie dogs, crows, leatherface, blue lagoon monster, etc.), to the locations (creepy manor, graveyard, swamp, dark forest, catacombs, torture cellars, insane asylum, etc.), to the plot and characters (mom trying to save her kid, hardboiled detective trying to save his partner, Count Orlokk lookalike bad guy, doomsday cult, final twist, etc.), to the weapons you use (bowie knife, shotgun, pistol, SMG, revolvers), it's all very familiar stuff. One of the endings even shows us the "dead" bad guy opening his eyes right before the credits roll.
And you know what? I'm right here for it! Sometimes, you just need that bog standard survival horror game that shamelessly replicates the traditional Resident Evil experience.
PROS:
- you can play in modern 3rd person (like in Resident Evil 2 or Silent Hill 2 remakes), or with old-school fixed camera and even tank controls
- good enemy variety
- fun exploration and puzzles
- game becomes more and more action packed the farther you get, so you never get bored
- good level design, with lots of detail. you can really tell the devs cared about making everything look good
- takes about 10-12 hours to beat in 3rd person mode, which is the right length for a game like this
CONS:
- fixed camera mode is much, much harder than 3rd person. you can't really line up headshots, and there are just way too many enemies and they're way too tanky
- you can't switch between fixed camera and 3rd person after you've started the game
- it's an indie game so it's janky at times
- graphics are so-so
- I couldn't have cared less about the story
- limited save system. each save costs a vinyl that disappears on use, meaning you lose progress if you die. this isn't a major problem since there are lots of vinyls around and I was roughly saving every 10-15 minutes. However, at one point early in the game I couldn't find a vinyl for almost an hour. Had I died and lost that progress, I would've stopped playing and given the game a negative review. Limited saves should always be optional in games like these, not just because it's a mechanic that wastes the player's time, but because people have real life responsibilities and being forced to either keep playing until you find a vinyl or quit the game and lose progress is just anti-fun.
TLDR: If you're looking for that classic survival horror experience and you don't mind some jank, then get this on a sale. If you want something more polished and unique, I really recommend SIGNALIS, CONSCRIPT, and of course the RESIDENT EVIL 2 remake.
Ugh man I kinda hate giving this game a thumbs down rating but there are just a few things that irk me that I'm quitting this game 3 quarters of the way through the game.
I'll start with the good:
- The atmosphere, the zombie models, creepy atmosphere. Feel like they nailed that old-school RE vibe before RE leaning into more action oriented gameplay. This game is close to being good. If there was an "okay" rating, I've give it that.
The bad:
- This game is just too ambitious in wanting to do a little of everything and the story isn't that great. So what happens is that I'm 14 hours in, I see a guide (more on that later) and I see I have about another 3rd to go before this game is over. I've had my fill. I'm just done. I don't care enough to go further blindly exploring what I need to do next to expand this meh story.
- Too much junk piled in this game. There's this section where you're introduced to this 2nd character and all while playing the fixed camera wanting RE experience I'm not having to spend 10 minutes in a FPS view going through his file cabinets hoping to luckily find that visual queue of what I need to place next. Ugh who thought this was a good idea? If it's for story development, couldn't this have just been a cut-scene? Who is playing this part and enjoying it.
- The game is inconsistent in clues or what to do next and the map isn't detailed enough. There are a million doors and you need various keys. Okay no problem. You find a key. It now flashes the door it unlocks. Okay that works. Then there other keys that don't do that and you're blindly checking all doors hoping it unlocks. There was one key hiding behind a dead zombie who got up & attacked me. Wasn't flashing. Nothing. I luckily found it just randomly clicking next to some bush. I'm shocked I wasn't stuck at this part forever.
- The shortage of ammo really requires you to fight a fair number of zombies with a knife. Well you are a fixed camera person, you have to turn of alternative controls so you can swipe & run away. Tank controls it's next to impossible and you'll just take a lot of damage. I don't like that.
- It's a game where you have to look up a guide just to continue this game. There are things to find and puzzle elements that are just kinda BS. I hate having to go to a guide but if you play this game, do yourself a major favor. Look up the guide.
I don't have it in me to continue to play this game & beat it. Sadly it has to be a thumbs down. If this game's length was literaly cut in half, it'd be much better.
The garbage Unreal Engine 3 is crashing.
UPD: And game deleted the saves of my almost completed game.
Случайно наткнулся на игру, искал проекты именно в таком жанре (сейчас серия RE стоит достаточно дорого, хотелось попробовать что-то более доступное). И, знаете, я так кайфанул! Не смотря на технические огрехи, за свои деньги (взял ключ около 150 рублей), прошел игру залпом, а потом еще и NG+. Первое прохождение было с плохой концовкой, потом прочитал гайд (он есть в обсуждениях игры, на английском языке) и понял свою ошибку. Прошел на хорошую концовку, + открыл секретную.
Однозначно рекомендую, достойный представитель жанра.
Them and Us it had a bit of a rough start. At first, I was worried I might not enjoy it, but after a couple of patches, the game really started to shine. It definitely doesn’t reach that AAA level of polish, but it does a nice job of bringing back that classic Resident Evil vibe, which I really appreciated.
The graphics are decent nothing mind-blowing, but they get the job done. The level design had its moments too; it felt like a nice throwback to older survival horror games while keeping things engaging enough to hold my attention. If you're a fan of classic RE titles or loved something like RE4, I think this game can deliver that nostalgic feeling.
All in all, I’d give "Them and Us" a solid 7 out of 10. It's not perfect, but it has its charm and might just hit the spot for fans of the genre.

j’ai ce jeu dans ma bibliothèque depuis longtemps car avant javais un vieux pc qui le fessais mal tourner et sans la manette c’était injouable donc la j’ai ce qui faut pour le faire tourner et tout le graphisme en élever le jeu et comme alone in the dark ou les resident evil très bon jeu je le recommande vivement a tous les amoureux de jeu action aventure

Сюжет - невнятная хрень, 8 часов игры и вопросов больше.
Вторичность,всё это уже мы видели раньше. А сейчас чуток хуже по графону,анимации и мелочам. Есть вид монстров,когда я их вижу,то вспоминаю олдскул Suffering с Торком которого торкнуло. Вторичность.
Музыка и звуки - ну пойдёт,но до презика не дотягивает.
Управление - на джое,ну впринципе даже самых лютых я валили с ножом,так как разгадал корявость анимации врагов...Патронов на пекаль уже чуть ли не под 300штук скопил. Ради прикола и разнообразия тупо головы им начал отстреливать.

A tribute to old Resident Evil games. It's really nice to play.
An amazing Resident Evil style game with a good amount of content. But the camera styles are not balanced; OTS and FPS are much easier (and required for Professional difficulty) than Fixed Camera, which is a shame. That is mainly due to the ability to shoot zombie's knees to cripple and make them crawl on the ground, which is impossible to do in Fixed Camera.
I personally quite liked Them and Us. I bought it on release and TendoGames did a lot of good work making improvements and listening to feedback. I don't really understand the negative reviews, this is meant to be a classic throwback to old school Survival Horror. The puzzles are hard, the inventory management is a feature not a misstep, and you have your option of First-, Third-Person, or Fixed camera. And you can go tank controls if you like as well.
Keep in mind this is a budget indie title, some jank is to be expected. People say this is ripping off ideas from other games, I say they tried to make a loving homage to their favorite survival horror games. Not sure why is says I only have 15 hours in, I've beaten it twice and with the side-content, I think? I played it back in 2021.
This game doesn't have an identity of its own and doesn't know what it wants to be. And I don't think its worth buying this to answer that question for them.
This rips off and references so many other, better games that while I was able to put that aside and have fun with what's on offer, I can't help but recommend that you spend your time playing one of the many other games this rips off and references because they will do more than what this game offers and do it much much better. If you don't care about that or have played these other games to death you might have an alright time like I did
It starts off with silent hill (Really? "Misty valley"?) and alone in the dark references, then standard resident evil styled gameplay with zombies in a house with the infamously bad item management system of resident evil 0. Right off the bat we are ripping off puzzles and cutscenes from these games in the first few minutes and it continues throughout. After a while it turns into some story involving portals and the paranormal and trying to tie itself into Planescape Torment for some reason? (Yes, I'm serious) Then it tries to be like silent hill by creating manifestations of the characters past. In the last 1/3 of the game the devs just give up any attempts at originality and just turn it into resident evil 4 and just becoming a full blown shooter. Fighting pale skinned cultists in black and red robes muttering cult phrases to themselves and fighting in a village with a prominent church as mask-wearing chainsaw dudes come after you. And to top it off one of the endings is just "hey you're now in Dino Crisis" and another is Harry Mason asking if you've seen a little girl with black hair. Also this is a weird bit, but the reload animations are also just ripped straight from resident evil 7. Just play any of the other games I've mentioned above and you'll have a much better time.
I can't help but feel like a lot of positive reviews for this game are more praising the games that this is ripping off rather than what is in front of them. There is no story here, no satisfying conclusion, nothing but a platform for the devs to feed memberberries to you and ask you to clap.
I tried this one thinking I’d enjoy it — it looks like a discount Tormented Souls or Resident Evil type of game, which I usually like. But the controls were so clunky and unresponsive on a controller that I gave up after about twenty minutes. It just wasn’t enjoyable to play.
The atmosphere seems decent, but the gameplay didn’t work for me.
A pretty good old school survival horror with fixed camera angles. I absolutely applaud the devs for adding in the option for over the shoulder camera and even first person. All of these working fairly well.
My only gripe with the game however is that it starts off really strong which is great but the later parts, especially the middle part where you're in huge open areas, felt a lot weaker and dragged a bunch.
I do love the unlockable costumes tho. That's a really cool they added that.
But, yeah, it's a recommend from me despite the minor nitpicks.

O jogo lembra muito Resident Evil e Resident Evil 4 tem uma mistura de elementos destes dois jogos, eu estou me divertindo. Porém acho que os DEVs montaram muito mal os enigmas e em alguns momentos se torna chato e repetitivo, pois o mapa é enorme e em vários momentos você tem que pegar um item no norte para abri um negócio no sul que da acesso a uma chave que abre um quarto lá longe e você depois tem que voltar para o mesmo lugar que já esteve várias vezes, alguns quebra cabeças não foram bem pensados. Recomendo o jogo, se você não quer ficar sem munição jogue no fácil, porque o normal você vai sofrer, tem que usar muita a faca e ser bom para não morrer.
If the inventory system wasn't annoying I might have recommended it. They really should have put a storage box next to every save point. Instead they expect you to drop everything on the floor and come back for it.
I rarely leave a review on games I don't like, but the demo of this game was a bait and switch. Shame on the publisher.
Plays like a prototype of an early access ACTION game masquerading as a survival horror. Lacks significant polish in enemy design, story telling, animations, sound effects, level design, and for FC players the cinematography. Competing games are all cheaper than this and so much more fun to play.
The demo and first part of this game is really well done until you leave the mansion. Shame on the publisher for this garbage bait and switch.

I enjoyed it for what it is, an old school PS1 title with better graphics.
This game is very close to excellence. It's a solid 65, maybe 60 out of 100 as it, but the things that are wrong with it are personal deal-breakers. Entirely personal, not a reflection of a substandard product. Game is solid.
I wish there was a neutral option when selecting reviews, just informative, instead of either pro or anti the game.
The Combat of the First Person option is fantastic, as is the movement. Finding items feels near impossible. You don't get the warning about items until you are almost on top of them.
The Fixed Camera pros and cons are the exact inverse of what the First Person ones are. Combat is a chore in 3rd person, and zombies that I killed with 1 bullet in FPS mode took 8 or more in third person.
The story seemed interesting, but I won't know beyond the first 30 minutes.
Mostly solid survival horror so far. It should only be compared to Resident Evil in that both are survival horror and both start with zombies in a mansion. It has wildly detailed, atmospheric and thoughtful environments that tell small stories.
It gets weird, the game world is large, and you can dodge most enemies easily. More like a 3/5.
Edit: Also the clock in the actual save room in the game shows the real time from your system clock.

The long:
I wanted to like this game, but there's just too many technical flaws that make it feel like a dated remake rather than a quality game.
First off, the amount of "inspiration" it takes from the RE series quickly crosses the line into direct rip-off. From the first enemy encounter, to the enemy types and storytelling, things are lifted almost exactly from the inspiring content. Follow that up with mechanical flaws that were seen in the early RE games makes it feel like they were just duplicating elements for the sake of it, purposely making an aggravating game rather than an homage.
Saving is limited to location/item dependency. Enemy placement and amounts can be unfair, and enemy behavior itself is more annoying than scary. You'll often find yourself in tight corridors with enemies that move faster than you with unpredictable staggering even with stronger weapons. Item management takes on a whole new level of annoyance with small inventory space and an overabundance of items. QoL improvements as simple as being able to use a healing item when you pick it up with a full inventory don't exist, so you're constantly dropping items just to heal or reload a gun and then re-picking up the items again.
The story is interesting, but again very limited and mostly told through documents scattered throughout the game. Puzzles are very standard and again ripped directly from ps1 era survival horror.
Overall this game feels more like a replication of the flaws of limited hardware and inexperience of games that originated the genre rather than a modern homage to it.

Es buen survival Horror de corte clásico, nada del otro mundo, pero cumple con creces lo que promete, una enorme casa que investigar, templos antiguos, cementerios, bosques, cabañas, control de tanque en planos estáticos o primera persona a elegir.... Es completo y ademas muy largo. Visualmente no esta nada mal.
Contras:
El guión es mejorable, no es malo pero si del montón.
Lo enrevesado que es en ocasiones hace que te canses del juego o que tires de guías, muchas puertas cerradas, muchas llaves, cada vez mas escenarios desbloqueados....
En definitiva si te gusta el género, lo clásico y no te importa sus defectos, lo vas a disfrutar. En general lo positivo gana a lo negativo y te deja un buen sabor de boca. Abstenerse personas que no tengan paciencia o que se líen en escenarios complejos.
RECOMENDADO. TERMINADO EN 2025.
