One of the best MMO's I've ever played. The coding, combat, and platforming are jank af, but if you're looking for an atmospheric cosmic horror game with inside jokes, friendly players, phenomenal story, and engaging gameplay that demands perfection going into the endgame; this one's for you!! ^.^

The world and lore are what really draw me in with this game. Also with all the conspiracies coming out turning out to be true it is more important than ever to explore the hidden world. You best start believing, because there is one.

Secret World Legends is a different kind of MMO, with the riddle quests for example and the whole dark theme. But sadly the player base is just reduced to a minimum that its not that open to the public. Just dont get your expectations too high. I would give it a pass, back in the day under its original name it was a very great MMO but after the relaunch its not worth it anymore.

Narrative, setting, atmosphere is top. I wish they would make a similar and updated version of this gem.
Try it if you are into deep lore and atmospheric settings. This is not a game for children.

While the player count is very low (I have seen a few people, but not many) this game performs very well as a single player experience. The feel of the world is creepy and weird and there is a lot of lore to learn if you are so inclined. Amazingly that graphics hold up really well for the age of the game. A little pop in here and there, but much better than most games from this era.

The gameplay can be a bit janky, but after some time in the game you really don't notice it anymore. The awesome story will quickly make you forget the jank. Some of the puzzles in the game are brutal, but it feels awesome when you solve a puzzle without looking it up with google.

If you don't mind a more solo experience then I highly recommend this game. It holds up against other horror themed games and its free. I have, as of yet, only spent $10 so far in order to purchase an extra character slot. Other than that, I have not felt the need to spend any money. That may change later on, but as of now it has never felt like I needed to spend anything to progress.

I highly recommend checking this out - but treat is as a single player game. However. if you can get a few friends to join then you will see how well this game shines for group stuff.

While this game is free-to-play, it is not worth you time to play it. I've tried getting into it multiple times over the years, and everytime I end up realizing the same thing, again, and again. This game sucks. Do yourself a favor, and don't waste your time.

Originally played when it was the legacy version TSW. It was such a cool experience. Being into the darker horror elements irl, the atmosphere and themes really tickled me. MMO was secondary with story that cool. For whatever reason i left it for years, until tonight where i got the itch to check it out again and see what changed. Well i shouldn't have. My rose tinted memories were the best i'll have of this game. Didn't help that the first hour of trying to play the game was realising it isn't optimised for 4k monitors (UI/text etc becomes tiny and unreadable which makes the game unplayable. Thank fk it's free). Their subreddit is banned so i couldn't check out people's solutions. Googling/other forums and desperately using AI still proved useless. Aka just a frustrating waste of time for something that should work out of the box. The game's concept was amazing. The execution was not great and the future support? non-existent. Skip, or if you do try it, treat it as a janky solo retro experience and don't waste your time if you have a 4k monitor.

Immersing yourself into stories of the locations is so fun. Multiplayer aspect actually ruins this game. Players constantly remind you it is a game and this meta gearing feels not needed in this game. So try to avoid it as much as possible and focus on story missions/quests and dont rush because there is nothing rewarding in the end. Journey itself is a reward
