Meh at best for me. Nonsensical story, bad voice acting, some (most) puzzles are trivial while the rest would likely be trivial if they were properly sign posted. One of the puzzles, for example, required me to set the taps in such a way that the air will pass through the pipes without escaping through the holes. The problem is, there were no clear visual indicators of the direction in which the air was travelling or where the holes were. Only worth buying at a deep discount and if one enjoys hidden object games. I suspect I picked this up in a bundle priced at $1 or less per item so I cannot complain about the price but it does feel like the game was not particularly worth the time investment.

Easy HO with typical mini games and HO scenes that all do not pose a bigger problem. This makes it also easy to follow the plot and to look out for the collectibles in some scenes. Thankfully there is a map to jump to the individual scenes as there is quite some walking back and forth necessary. Nice graphics and sound and overall a good HO game to kill time on a rainy day.

One of the best HOG's I have played from Artifex Mundi. And I played like 10 or something. Good story, and even nicer bonus story. Different puzzles, nice touches with how the story unfold. Sometimes a tiny bit unlogical, but overal very enjoyable 10 hrs play. It is already 9 years old, but with this kind of games that doesn't matter. It is still cute.

Да, игра визуально одна из самых красивых с различными ландшафтами - тут и пустыня, и леса, и ледяные крепости. Особенно понравилось, когда нужно было взаимодействовать с планетарной моделью. Так что здесь художники хорошо постарались.
С задачками особых затупов не было. Нужно лишь для всех достижений искать по уровням различные скрытые детальки. Всё остальное выполняется по ходу развития сюжета. Также нужно пройти ещё и дополнительную главу. Так что очередная идеальная игра на вечер уже по традиции от Артифекс. Хоть в их серии и встречались довольно муторные истории с заумными головоломками.
Из магазинных плюшек тоже полный набор. Особенно хорошо игра выглядит на линукс платформе - всё очень плавно и красиво. Именно там игра и проходилась. Но на том дистрибутиве пока что сложности с переключением раскладки и из-за этого не удалось грамотно оформить отзыв.

Thing you should know about me. If I'm skipping every other puzzle in the game it doesn't mean the puzzles are hard. It means they are poorly designed and confusing. And also I hate the game and I want it to be over.
The first game had great puzzles, they were challenging, but were fair and made sense. But this game has the most randomly designed puzzles that directions make no sense. Like for instance you are suppose to turn pipe keys in a certain way in one puzzle, but here's the thing...the game provides no clue on which way they are suppose to be turned. Making the puzzle impossible for me to solve.
Another puzzle, says it has a pattern provided, but there is no pattern and absolutely no way to solve it because there is just no solid directions in the puzzle.
There are other examples, but those stick out. I can't get over how lazy the designers had to be in these puzzles. Also, between the ones that make no sense are laughably easy puzzles.
I am a puzzle girl. I love a game with good puzzles, and I judge a game highly by it's puzzle design. So, I was very disappointed in this sequel. Yeah, I know a lot of people love this game, but I have no clue why.
I'd call this game slightly better than previous one in this serie. Slightly. Better visuals. Story is still a joke but little more consistent this time. The game is rather long and even has a bonus chapter. It looks nice and stuff, but the story of this bonus chapter is just a nonesense and barely related to the main game.
Gameplaywise almost nothing chaged here. You get a pet Griffin, but most, if not all, puzzles and mini games are more or less the same as before. And they are still rather simple. Too simple, as for me. Overall, while I definitely would not call this game a 'must buy', but if you were ok with previous game - you will be more than ok with this one as well.
A really nice Artifex Mundi hidden object game.
The 3rd game in a series of at least eight that I know of. The third game continues the story of the mask and scepter. All the games from this developer are great to play. I've played just about all of them that I can afford to buy.
Should I start by pointing out that this game literally undid the events from the Second game? Oops......?
Two important things....... ONE: THE BABY GRIFFIN is the best thing ever!!! It looks like a plush toy came to life AND it has the cutest animations! Especially when wiggling its little feetsies or stomping the tree. I could pass the game just for her. ^^
TWO: The Royal Griffin......... Did you seriously do THAT to it... Do I need to remind you that by playing the SECOND game... You learn that the Royal Griffin has several powers and one of them is magical restoration! What in the hell?!
As for the rest... Game not hard. Has Collectables and you NEED to play the Bonus Game for all the Achievements. Can all be done in one playthrough... Unless you miss a Collectable.

Знакомьтесь, перед нами Сара Пеннингтон, дочь главы тайного ордена Грифона, путешественница во времени и спасительница мира. Собранные Сарой в прошлой части артефакты решили устроить БАБАХ, разрушив часть крепости ордена и начав разрушать целостность всей вселенной. Саре надо срочно отправиться в далёкое прошлое, в волшебное королевство Айронхарт, где были созданы опасные реликвии. Ей надо узнать у тамошнего короля, как навсегда уничтожить эти предметы. По пути она встретит добрых людей, которые ей помогут, а также подружится с грифоном, который сможет отвезти её в самые отдалённые уголки королевства.
Нас встретят хорошо узнаваемые черты игры «поиск предметов». Те же решения задачек, обычный поиск предметов по списку, стандартное применение вещей, чтобы продвинуться дальше. Задачки попадаются заковыристые, но все проходимые, поиски проблем тоже не представляют. Бытовая логика периодически хромает, но тут у нас волшебное королевство, так что терпимо. По игре разбросаны коллекционные фигурки, которые достаточно легко найти. Это хорошо, ведь индикатора коллекционок здесь нет.

Картинка в игре детальная и аккуратная. Попадаются очень красивые виды, мы побываем в разных биомах, так что есть здесь и разнообразие. Анимационные вставки на крепком среднем уровне. Все персонажи озвучены, на фоне играет атмосферная музыка.
Хорошая игра из хорошей серии, могу порекомендовать попробовать.
At first glance [i]The Secret Order 3: Ancient Times[/i] seems to be a perfect sequel to [url=steamcommunity.com/id/atisz2/recommended/399890/]The Secret Order 2: Masked Intent[/url]: after all a little more of everything that was good in the previous part is the common formula for a successful sequel. But can it maintain the eventfulness, the suspense and the overall level of the previous installment? Since the standards were set so high, the answer is sadly no: the suspense is almost entirely gone, while there are new functions, some don't truly work as they did before and the perfect selection of locations (and times) are switched to an almost entirely fairytale fantasy world - which wouldn't be a bad thing, but since it's so common in other hidden object games, the uniqueness of [i]The Secret Order 2: Masked Intent[/i] is gone.
Taking place a few weeks after the events of our previous adventure, Sarah Pennington - our heroine - now a fully fledged member of the Order of the Griffin receives a phone call from her father (never a good sign): the 2 artifacts - the mask and the scepter started glowing and began emitting what appear to be seismic waves, threatening to destroy everything. Once again, we have to find a time stone and travel back in time using the Royal Griffin to prevent the catastrophe. This time, our destination is 1896, London, where we have to find a scroll displaying the location of Aeronheart (the mystic kingdom from the previous part) seeking help from the creator of the artifacts on how to destroy them...
Minigames and classic point-and-click adventure elements dominate over hidden object scenes - which is of course (at least for me) isn't a bad thing, on the contrary. As symbols both in graphics and minigames the game prefers to use griffins and dragons representing the conflict between the Order of the Griffin and the Order of the Dragon. The variety of minigames is rather wide: jigsaw, pipe puzzle, colour-matching and an interactive chronicle minigame even. Instead of hidden object scenes we can choose to play mahjong once again and this time we can safely do so: they don't break any achievement progress.
When using items, there's attention to small details - if we try something that is not completely inadequate, instead of the usual error message, we get an explanation why we can't use that particular item there.
What I didn't like, was the insane amounts of similar looking items of which we have to collect all pieces in order to actually be able to use them. The previous part also had this, but they were either somewhat different or served a purpose... here they mostly just fill our inventory with identical items displayed such as 1/5-4/5 until all of them are found. At times this formula is so overused that we end up having 5 of these at the same time, which means we have to be on the lookout for up to ~25 of these small components. It's a minor annoyance, but it feels like a lazy solution to prolong gametime.
Some item uses also seemed rather illogical, like the one where a leaf had to be used to unearth a stone symbol from the sand... I mean it was already sticking out, why couldn't we just pull it with out bare hands? Not going to lie, I was stuck there for a while :D
There are 3 types of collectibles in the shape of dragons, griffins and unicorns. Quite unusally some of them can be found in subscenes and the game is nice enough not to close these after we finished our task there, so we can grab the collectible even after that. However this usually causes the given subscene staying there after performing everything, that might lead us to think we still have something else to do there...
While probably a minor, one could say purely aesthetic problem, it should be noted that according to a document we find, we must travel back to 3157 BC - which matches the mentioning of "ancient times" from the 2nd part - to King Amadon's court. The age our ship takes us instead is a picture perfect portrayal of a classic fantasy kingdom... not only that, but King Amadon's evil siblings return as well and look somewhat different than they did before. There are so many reused assets nowadays, why couldn't the old models be used - in a case where it would have been justified?
With the surprise and the feel of the 'journey to the unknown' from the prequel gone, the game throws in some additional features: while escaping at the start we manage to acquire a griffin hatchling - located in the lower right corner of the screen - that can help us getting items that are out of our reach and later on we can also find an upgradeable golem heart with which we can animate lifeless statues (usually just to move them away and grant us access to inaccessible locations).
There's a point in the game from where we can visit 3 remote locations: the realm of the Stone Guardian, Dune and Ice. This is the part which involves a lot of backtracking and while the maptravel feature helps, the uneventfulness we wish it was over already... The fact that new diary entries get less and less frequent as we are nearing the end, doesn't help either.
There's also a nearly hour-long needless bonus chapter further emphasizing its engagement to the fantasy setting, where we have to protect a giant tree from an evil mage (the game mentions a wyrm, but it's a wizard) with the united help of elves, dwarves and fairies [spoiler]instead of trying to find a way back to present day, since our ship has been destroyed[/spoiler].
The bonus chapter also involves some story-related achievements.
Graphics are on par with the prequel with 3D facial animations not looking as awkward as before and to be fair, the bonus chapter looks great as well (they usually tune down quality in these).
Again the sound effects are great, like the wind howling and torches crackling in a cave... talking about crackling: speakers give out crackling noises (again) during some low-quality soundtracks - just like in the previous part. I don't understand why would someone be frugal and not use higher quality samples when it comes to sound. The soundtracks themselves weren't as diverse and great as before either.
So while the gameplay itself is somewhat improved (not that it needed improvement, the prequel was very enjoyable), after the interesting first third (after the London scene), the game sinks into the 'usual' fantasy kingdom world and loses momentum, almost reaching complete boredom in the last third. Overall it's still a high quality HOG and way better than many specimens the genre has to offer, but in terms of plot and locations [i]The Secret Order 3: Ancient Times[/i] is a letdown after the great 2nd part.

판타지 시간여행 어드벤처 시리즈 3편.
1편을 굉장히 재밌게 하고 바로 2편을 사서 했는데 확 바뀐 배경과 게임의 분위기에 엄청나게 실망.
한달 간 마음 좀 추스리고 큰 기대 없이 3편을 시작했는데 꽤 괜찮았음.
2편은 요즘 모니터 사이즈로 보기에는 화질이 너무 열화되서 눈이 아팠는데 본작의 경우 컷씬을 제외한 부분은 꽤 나아진 편.
게임 플레이도 전작은 쓸데없이 뺑이치게 만드는 동선이 너무 많았는데 상대적으로 줄여서 쾌적해졌고 퍼즐은 항상 그랬던대로 어디서 봤던거만 가져오긴 했지만, 귀찮고 짜증나는 건 빼버리고 적당한 거만 가져와서 좋았음.
숨은 그림찾기도 개수를 좀 줄이고 그마저도 몇 개는 미니사이즈로 줄여서 더 쾌적해짐. 물론 가장 큰 발전은 이제야 그림을 좀 알아볼 수 있게 되었다는 거..
스토리는 1, 2편에 이어 '또' 아빠를 구하기 위해 시간여행하며 고군분투하는 사라의 이야기. 2편을 해봤다면 낯익은 캐릭터와 배경들이 좀 보여서 반갑긴했는데 이 전개로 가면 2편의 내용이랑 이어질 수가 있나? 싶긴 했음. 초반 근현대 파트까진 꽤 재밌었는데 판타지로 넘어간 후 부터는 스토리에 크게 몰입 되진 않고 엔딩까지 영...
엔딩 이후 이어지는 짤막한 외전 스토리도 하나 있는데 이쪽도 썩 재밌진 않았음.
무난하게 70점 정도 줄만한 게임.

Kolejny HOG od Artifexu (a przynajmniej przez niego wydany) - to dalej "to samo". Jak podobały się poprzednie gry, to ta też podejdzie.
Coraz trudniej się coś tu pisze, bo te gry to jest serio prawie to samo, na jedno kopyto. Jedna taka co jakiś czas nie nudzi, tym bardziej że są krótkie. Nadal jest różnie z zagadkami - jedne się przechodzą ot tak, tym bardziej jak się zna inne takie gry, bo się powtarzają, a na innych da radę utknąć, bo nie do końca wiadomo, co zrobić. Nadal twarze i mimika straszą po nocach. Nadal ekrany z ukrytymi przedmiotami są za to ładne. No i w tej części nie miałem problemów związanych z tłumaczeniem, więc plus.
Tylko fabuła raczej do zapomnienia - taka, żeby było niby po co grać, ale nie żeby o niej gadać. Mimo że to cała długa seria. Mało wnosi do całości. Dalej też po cichu polecam jedynkę, której na Steamie nie ma, a jest najlepszym HOGiem, jakiego pamiętam.

Above average voice acting and artstyle. HOG and minigames are alright too. Get it on sale for some simple fun for about 3-5 hours (it took me 5 with breaks included for the complete story + bonus chapter).
Story continue from Secret Order 2 so it is better if play that first. I think story is ok but it is still hard follow sometimes. Puzzles is not hard but you need do same ones many times. It is not problem if you like this style of puzzle but I wish there is more different types. Art is beatiful and there is many cool locations. Music and sound is ok.
[u]Recommendation[/u]: Another HUGE hidden-object game involving the Order of the Griffon and an apparently-random collection of different mythologies and faerie tales.
[u]Critique[/u]: I played this a month ago, and I've already lost any sense of the plot of this game. It's wonderful that the first line of the game trailer is "It doesn't make sense!" [i]because it really doesn't[/i]. But nobody really plays these games for [i]plot[/i], do they? The plot is just a loose framework for connecting a bunch of puzzles and hidden object screens...but here it is a [i]very loose[/i] framework. It's like a hyper-exaggerated version of any other Artifex Mundi game: bigger, wackier, just MORE of every aspect. You've got sequences in Victorian England at Christmastime (terrible, [i]terrible[/i] voice acting), a whole bunch of sequences involving the Atlantis-like "Aeronheart," and a bunch of stuff involving runes named after Norse gods, for some reason. Then there's faerieland in the bonus chapter! Not content to be a member of the Order of the Griffon, you actually ride a griffon! Not only that, but you get a super-deformed griffon chub (everyone knows that a baby griffon is both a chick and a cub, so they're called "chubs") as your in-game buddy who gets/interacts with stuff that you can't reach. There's a bunch of adventure game-style nonsense where you have to complete entirely arbitrary tasks for NPCs in order to continue, then those NPCs never play any role in the story from then on.
I'm very grateful that this game does not have any alternative game modes (like dominoes or Taipei), because it also means that you don't have to play the game more than once to get all the achievements. This game does have set collection goals, however: there are THREE sets of objects that are randomly scattered throughout the game: griffons (repeatedly and consistently spelled "griffins"), dragons, and unicorns. So if you're a completionist and you're not diligent in checking every screen, you might end up wanting to replay the game in order to get the achievements.
The game is tremendously long; you get a lot of game for your money here. Shame it's so nonsensical. The bonus chapter - which is a bunch of nonsense that doesn't relate to anything else in the game - is pretty extensive (not that that's saying much, with such a long, LONG game), but it's frustrating that it has nothing to do with the rest of the game. At all!
[u]Review[/u]: [spoiler]Sometime after the end of [u]The Secret Order 2[/u], the enemy society, the Order of the Dragon, attacks your Order's headquarters, which begins to "awaken" the evil artifacts that your Order of the Griffon are keeping contained. So you go on an adventure to help destroy those artifacts before they can end the world. You start in a museum that the Order has maintained, which you have to use to repair the equipment that allows you to escape in time before the museum is completely burned to the ground by the attack. In finding the Time Stone to escape, you also hatch a mysterious egg...which produces a griffon chub that imprints onto you. Escaping, the two of you find yourselves in England at Christmastime. Is it the 19th or the 20th century? You're not sure. From there, you find your way to the gates of the ancient mystical city of Aeronheart (which is basically a version of Atlantis). Here you have to complete more arbitrary tasks for NPCs so that you can enter the city. Inside the city, you have to restore an old horse statue for the general, so that he will permit you to see the King. From there, you are given directions to a magical forest. Having navigated the magical forest (and completed tasks for the residents like rebuilding their tree house), you both arrive back in Aeronheart and are given access to a library. In the library, you explore the rivalry between the King's two other siblings, Zerina and Cyrus. Both of them are puissant wizards; one is of fire, and the other is of ice. But their realms are blocked by magic from the other sibling: a wall of ice blocks access to Zerina's realm, and a wall of fire blocks access to Cyrus' realm. Following a bunch of VERY RANDOM clues in the library enables to you to destroy the walls. Venturing into the two realms, you eventually find a fire dagger and an ice dagger, which you use to destroy an evil crystal. This breaks the spell on the two siblings, and they cease attacking Aeronheart! You fly to another island, which is a grassy land with a river and a mysterious deer ("I'd better leave the deer alone") to get the final rune that you need to activate a golem. Если в Masked Intent ГГ всю историю искала артефакт, то в Ancient Times ГГ ищет способ уничтожить его и парный к нему. Сюжет оставляет впечатление "лоскутного одеяла", когда локации не являются чем-то самобытным, а лишь основой для загадок и пазлов. Задания в игре четко ограничены несколькими локациями, поэтому не составляют проблем. Не нужно держать в памяти, что было сообщение о том, что ГГ где-то 20 поворотов назад зацепилась за какой-то гвоздь. "Это «Ж-ж-ж» - неспроста!" (с). Игра несложная, на пару вечеров.
Für Wimmelspiel Fans nur zu empfehlen. Dieses Spiel gefällt mir, von 4 gespielten dieser Reihe, am Besten. Die Story ist nachvollziehbar, Rätsel okay, nun ja manchmal etwas zu einfach, schöne Schauplätze. Für 3,69€ gibt es nichts zu bemängeln.

Yeah..this one is an ok n quick one, just 4 hours of content, easy enough for you to 100% it, with about 26 achievements, the game's graphics is actually nice, some of them are very breathtaking... the only problem is the "CGI" animated part, that Ruins it, and oh god, the lip sync... lol
The only suggestion is that, if you got this on a huge sale, then, it's worth it

Dieses Spiel verwendet den [B]originalen Soundtrack aus SpellForce 2, "Titel: Plain in Suffocation".[/B] Ich habe ungefähr 350 Stunden in diesem Spiel verbracht, ich würde den Soundtrack [B]überall[/b] widererkennen und habe ihn gerade extra noch einmal mit YouTube abgeglichen - Ist das legal? Ich bin maximalverwirrt.
Das Spiel selbst ist ein klassischer Artifex Mundi Titel, mit Wimmel- & Suchbildern, wie sie aus diversen Vorgängern schon bekannt sind. Errungenschaften lassen sich schnell zusammenfarmen, die Rätsel sind abwechslungsreich und die Geschichte ist der dritte Teil einer längeren Reihe.
Ich habe die gesamte Reihe (8 Titel) für knappe 19€ im Sale erstanden und bin darüber ganz froh. Viele Stunden spannende Beschäftigung, die sich sowohl am Stück als auch für "mal eben zwischendurch" eignet.
Klare Kaufempfehlung.
Solid continuation of the series and it ends in a way that demonstrates there won't always be a perfect conclusion, especially when you're messing with time. Very funny bit in the bonus chapter where I'm holding a bucket. I need to collect water. How about I find a leaf? What do you mean, trying the bucket? Buckets aren't useful here.
Well, it looks nicer than the previous one and runs better, but still not a fantastic HO game. I'm really not a fan of the 3d style (so uncanny valley) and I found the plot pretty dumb. However, it wasn't the worse way to kill 6 hours. I just barely wouldn't recommend.

A little below average on the Mountain Crime Requital scale.
The Voice acting has definitely dipped since the first game. This game feels like a baby's first hidden object game and the ending for the main story was interesting but the bonus chapter definitely felt a little disappointing. I feel like the team might have been forced to create this one while they were still burnt out from the last one.
Still not too bad a romp, and maybe an experience to try (during a sale, perhaps) so that you can experience the next bit of the story for our main gal.
GOOD GAME. kept me busy for hours. I enjoyed the challenges and great graphics.
It felt like some of the elements in the game were poorly scripted, like you had to perform a certain combination to complete a puzzle eventhough other combination of button presses were possible to solve it. And it just didn't run as smoothly as I expected.
Pretty good, Artifex Mundi makes among the best HOGs. Couldn't get that last dragon because it locked us out of a scene, argh! Get it if it's cheap :)

Ich habe mit mir gerungen, ob ich Teil 3 im Sinne von „spielbar“ einen Daumen rauf gebe. Aber allein diese Überlegung führte letztendlich zu der Entscheidung, dass es kein Titel ist, den man irgendwie empfehlen kann.
Mit dem Vorgänger war es schon genauso - aber dieses Mal gibt‘s keine Gnadenbewertung.
Aber erstmal anders angefangen...
[h1]Was ist gut oder zumindest ok?[/h1]
- solide Rätsel, Minispiele und Wimmelbildszenen
- Inventarverwaltung geht größtenteils ganz gut von der Hand
- ausreichend Schauplätze, insgesamt durchaus hübsch
- nach dem Start in der Gegenwart noch zwei andere (Vergangenheits-)Epochen
- ein kleiner süßer Helfer, der abgelegene Sachen erfliegen kann
- ein Golemherz, mit dem man hier und dort Statuen zum Leben erwecken kann
- eine ganze Menge Sammelobjekte (3x12), die auch fair zu bekommen sind
- Bonusepisode (erstmals in der Reihe)
Diese Zutaten sind mal mehr und mal weniger gut umgesetzt. Zumindest könnte man hiervon ableiten, dass sich Gedanken gemacht wurden.
Aber nehmen wir das mal auseinander...
[h1]Was ist NICHT gut?[/h1]
Erst einmal leidet auch Teil 3, wohlgemerkt aus dem Jahr 2016, unter pixeligen und insgesamt durch die Bank schlechten Cutscenes.
Die paar in HOGs üblichen Animationen sind auch eher ärmlich. Ein seltenes Highlight ist mal die ein oder andere Feueranimation. Personen hingegen sehen nicht unbedingt schön gezeichnet aus, bewegen sich nicht schön. Wasser „fließt“ teilweise mit 20 fps.
Das ist selbst genretypisch nicht zu verzeihen und bringt nicht die beste Immersion.
Die Wimmelbilder sind eher auf der simplen Seite, und besonders zahlreich sind sie auch nicht.
[h1]Großer Stolperstein: die Story[/h1]
Man startet in der Gegenwart (Ende des Vorgängers), dann geht’s rückblickend vergleichsweise kurz ins späte 19 Jahrhundert, und dann gammelt man für den Rest des Spiel in einem Königreich weit vor Christus herum. Hier wird wirklich nichts ausgelassen: König, Drachen, Greife sowieso, und wenn man die Bonusepisode noch dazunimmt auch Elfen, Feen, Zwerge, ein Troll und ein Einhorn. Uff. Ja ok dieser ganze Fantasykram ist meist so üblich in HOGs, aber da bin ich echt kein Fan von. So, und dann endet dieser Teil auch noch in dieser Vergangenheit, ich muss also Teil 4 dort wieder ansetzen. Hab ich ja schon voll Bock drauf.
Spätestens mit der Bonusepisode wird’s echt kitschig. Man merkt auch, dass sie eher lieblos zusammengebaut wurde, nur um eine zu haben. Sie ist frei von Highlights und hat auch kein wirkliches Finale.
Ich bin wie gesagt eh kein Fan von Fantasy und auch allgemein bei Spielen kein Storyfanatiker. Hier hat mich das Ganze eher genervt. Jeder neue Charakter textet einen in seiner ersten Cutscene mit etlichen Infos voll, und ich kann mir ungefähr NICHTS davon merken, weil alles so arg unrealistisch ist und beliebig hinkonstruiert wirkt (hier Zaubertrank, da magische Kristalle, der muss geheilt werden, dort muss das-und-das zusammengebastelt werden, weil das ja wieder dort seine Kraft entfaltet,...). Da ist wenig nachvollziehbar und so macht man einfach, was man so machen kann. Häufiger ziehen sich die Merkwürdigkeiten auch durch die Inventaranwendung. Man hat nicht so recht eine Assoziation und dann ist die Lösung so eine Sache, wo ich mir denke „aha“. Klar, die Protagonistin kommentiert ja in HOGs alles spätestens beim Draufklicken, dann weiß man schon, was getan werden soll. Aber es wär schön, wenn das nicht teilweise so „wtf“ wäre.
Naja, jedenfalls nimmt das Königreich ungefähr die zweite Hälfte des Spiels ein. Zum Ende hin wurde es für mich erzählerisch also immer banaler. Keine Spannung, kein Reiz, eher Augenrollen.
Wer den Vorgänger gut fand, wird vielleicht auch das hier mögen. Wer ihn wie ich nur so mittel fand, wird hier auch kein Fan mehr. Ich hoffe spätere Teile kommen wieder etwas geerdeter und nachvollziehbarer daher; und zeitlich anders angeordnet.

I'm back to The Secret Order, finally. It has been almost a year since I played The Secret Order 2 and it's unbelievable that 11 months have gone by already. I plan to play TS04 with a much shorter delay.
Like I said in my review for TSO2, the franchise abandoned its unique aesthetic in the first game for a standard fantasy theme that's typical of hidden object adventure games. TSO3 is full on fantasy, once again. It's such a shame Sunward didn't stick with the realistic theme and look of the first game. I have all the games up to TSO8 and judging by the games' artwork, they never returned to it.
Despite that, I felt like TSO3 was a bit above average. It had a polished feel to it, with plenty of animations and events. The animations were goofy and low quality of course, but still nice to keep things feeling dynamic.
The difficulty is a bit above average, too. I was reminded of the first House of 1000 Doors, where there is prodigious backtracking and many areas available at once. Sometimes I got lost for a few minutes. The puzzles in TSO3 are all nice and simple to solve.
I was satisfied with TSO3 and I'm anticipating that Sunward was able to keep building better and better games in this franchise. Here's hoping!

The Secret Order: Ancient Times ist das Dritte Spiel von Artifex Mundi was genau nach abschließen des Vorgängers dort weiter geht wo es aufgehört hatte, die Story ist einfach weiterhin Fesselt und die Wimmelbilder sind Wunderschön gemacht und die Rätzel sind genau gut gemacht worden, aber was am schönsten fand war das wir einen kleinen Begleiter an unsere Seite bekommen hab.

4편의 절망적인 번역 보고 충격받은 후 이거 쓰러옴 3편 번역은 그래도 괜찮은 편입니다
각 편을 시작하기 전에 전편 요약영상을 보여주니까 스포일러에 민감하신 분들이라면 순차적으로 플레이하는 쪽을 추천드립니다
그리고 수집 요소 있는데(드래곤 조각) 이 맵에서 다 찾았는지 확인하는 기능이 없어서 한 번 놓치면 좀 절망적임

I didn't like the ending at all.

The Secret Order 3: Ancient Times continua a emocionante série baseada em histórias com uma nova narrativa de suspense que combina com sucesso os gêneros de fantasia e detetive noir.
Os jogadores assumem o controle de Sarah Pennington, filha do Mestre da Ordem dos Grifos, devendo mais uma vez enfrentar o perigoso poder dos artefatos que ela recuperou durante os eventos do último jogo.
O cetro e a máscara tornaram-se instáveis, ameaçando a vida do pai de Sarah e a segurança do mundo inteiro. A única maneira de evitar que o próprio tecido da realidade se desfaça é Sarah viajar no tempo para o reino mítico de Aeronhart, para encontrar um Rei Amadon, que ordenou a criação dos artefatos. Amadon pode ser o único que sabe como destruir esses objetos caóticos. An absolute cheese-fest from beginning to end, from the art to the puzzles to the voice acting, but that's why we love these games so much, isn't it?
I agree with some other reviews that the cut scenes look atrocious, but didn't hinder my enjoyment of the game too much.
Dobra oddychovka, niektore puzzle dost tazke, animacie velmi chabe, dej v podstate o nicom. Idealna hra pre Steam Deck, za mna 4/10.
Excellent game, would recommend to anyone that loves Hidden Object Games. Great character voice overs of the game.Really very pretty scenes in the game also,and a real cute helper ( loved him ).The challenges were exactly that, challenging but worth every minute I played the game .Congrats to the very gifted team.Thanks a bunch.

I will recommend with the caveat that the directions for some of the puzzles are so vague you can't even figure out what they want. There is also no reset on some that desperately need it. And it would be great if when you do give up and hit skip, they actually show you a quick display of how they solved it instead of just the finished bit. The one where you move the king is rage inducing.
Also, some of the spots you have to click on to zero in on a location are so close to the "back" spot that the slightest shift as you click sends you off screen. Maybe a back button instead of just the arrow?
And I find the map will insist there is something to do in a location, but the hint tells you to leave. No sure if its a glitch.
Stories are good though, worth playing for those if you don't mind the puzzle issues. I will only buy these games at a discount because of the poor puzzle instructions.

Taka HOPA, jaką lubię :) Mnóstwo łamigłowek i minigierek, ładna oprawa graficzna. Co do fabuły, to w takich grach nie zwracam zbytnio na to uwagi, nie ma dla mnie większego znaczenia, najważniejsze są zagadki, ale tu fabuła ładnie spaja wszystko.

TLDR: This game is not worth $15, but something closer to $5>. Half the puzzles revolve around using the Gryphon to grab things for you or could be brute-forced. The story was lacking in every way and I didn't hear more than 4-5 sentences come out of the protagonist's mouth. The animation was poor and could easily be spotted layered over the game's backgrounds. The only good thing that came out of this was the fast-travel map.
Hidden Object games are one of my favourite genres to play of all time, a genre that I have thoroughly enjoyed since I hit double digits. My flavour preference commonly leans towards the HO games with themes of mystery, murder, ghosts, gore, etc. But after receiving this game for free I thought I should at least give it a go and broaden my tastes.
I regretted the decision shortly afterwards.
The only thing I could say that I found appealing about the game was the level art design and some of the animations seen throughout, albeit blurry and poorly layered at most junctures. The soundtracks were pleasant, but were noticeably rehashed and out of touch with the environment and atmosphere shown.
However, these are the bare minimum expectations Hidden Object games must uphold to be playable. This “game” does nothing more than the bare minimum, and that’s putting it nicely.
Now I have not played the previous chapters, but the outcome of this game does not make me want to go back and uncover the backstory. Most of the cutscenes were so blurry that I had trouble comprehending what was shown. Whenever the characters spoke it was unsettling to the eye and the lack of enthusiasm from the voice actors didn’t make this feel anything less like a bad nightmare.
I couldn’t say there was much of a story to be told, as it felt like most of my missions revolved around fetching items to unlock an area to find another puzzle. There was no major plot to uncover and there were so many loose ends with characters you met along the way that I am still wondering why they were there to begin with. At least the Forest Of Hope chapter was shorter, but far more interesting in comparison to the initial game.
Puzzles should be fun to solve, feel like they’re challenging me to work with the rules and pieces provided to come up with a solution. However, when I need to give a monkey a hat to obtain a banana, which I then need to give to an elephant so it walks over to eat it, crushing a salt block in the process…it’s not a puzzle, but a joke. Putting gems into their respective locations after finding them amongst the scenery isn’t a puzzle either. I ended up brute-forcing my way through most of the game. The lacklustre variety of challenges added to the tedious back-tracking of level locations was unbearable, but AT LEAST there was fast travel so I could end this sooner.
It’s not the worst game I’ve played but it is certainly amongst the worst of the Hidden Object games I’ve had the unfortunate experience of playing.

Missão simples de the secret order 3, game desenvolvido apenas para tentar angariar dinheiro; aqui ele não consegue manter o carisma e o brilho dos outros games.
É um ótimo jogo para quem quer iniciar nesse genero de objetos ocultos, não tem nada tão profundo; tudo é de esquematização de quebra cabeça simples e o velho leva e traz de itens que foi aprofundado de ter uma peça na area 1 e levar até a 3.
Tudo foi simplificado, talvez visando alcançar mais publico e isso não é de todo tão ruim; acaba se tornando uma ótima pedida para quem não quer nada tão penoso e ta pensando em se distrair com algum game leve para rodar em qualquer maquina.

So, so much better than the previous one!! Great music, pretty decent voice acting, fun HOG scenes, puzzles that were just challenging enough, fun atmosphere, much improved cutscenes. And no relentless hint button chiming every time you change screens!!! I will say that it did have some stumbles - the plot was a little silly at times (especially the bonus chapter, whole thing felt kinda random?), there were a lot of similar puzzles, and the characters in the cutscenes were not great (better than the last one still tho). But overall I'm happy to recommend this entry! Honestly I was happy just with the endless screen changing hint chime gone lol.
This game starts very well, beautiful scenarios, nice puzzles, but as you move forward the puzzles become broken and annoying, some sounds are lower/higher than the rest of the game and some scenarios are fuzzy and bad looking. Not the best in the series, but worth a play if not bought at full price.
Another great game by Artifex Mundi!! I play these games on the expert levels and don't use the info or hint options so some puzzles can be frustrating to figure out, but that's part of the fun. Kind of makes you feel like you are in the adventure, since in real life there wouldn't be a guide or tutorial telling you what's needed to solve a puzzle. This game continues from the second one and I liked the bonus content and additional hidden items. This one is also more puzzle then HOG but I'm enjoying not having 30 hidden object scenes in the game.

Game is an improvement on it's previous installment. Story is still paper thin, but graphics have slightly improved as well as a better sense of progression. The collectibles are more rewarding this time unlocking further scenes for you to search through and explore. Overall a solid output on this one. The extra story campaign is fun to engage with as well, although it feels a bit disjointed from the original game. It's more like an extra mini game bundled in with the base game.
Great game although found some of the puzzles impossible for me but love this genre of games, more like this please.
Love this game! Its a carry on from game 2 and just jump right back into it. I am really enjoying the story line and finding the additional items. Big thumbs up and 10/10
