The game is pretty cool, have lovely graphic and nice gameplay, which is not too complicated neither too easy. Dogs are so cute and act like a dogs, that's a big advantage.
I just wish this game was a real survival with open map and freely gameplay mode but it isn't. That's a pitty, cause I see great potential for that but also know it would take a far more work than nowadays The Red Lantern.

The Red Lantern is an amazing game. in runs well and is super imersive. My favourite dog has to be Igloo and this game makes me want to become a dog musher!

No sabía qué esperar cuando empecé el juego, quizá un simple juego de supervivencia con mecánicas de trineo. ¡Pero vaya, no estaba preparado! En primer lugar, debo decir que me encantan los animales, y me encantan los perros, pero soy extremadamente alérgico a ellos, por lo que no puedo tener uno propio y eso es algo que me afecta mucho.

Y ahora, volviendo al juego, The Red Lantern es un juego en el que ponen toda su alma en los perros que eliges para emprender una aventura explorando la naturaleza salvaje con el fin de demostrarte algo a ti mismo. Y cada perro tiene una personalidad distinta, una forma de ser, de moverse, de sentirse vivo. Solo he jugado un poco, pero estoy totalmente involucrado con estos cachorritos y vivir esta aventura con ellos es simplemente increíble.

El juego no se trata de luchar, sino de tomar decisiones, a veces sobre cambiar la ruta para explorar la naturaleza, a veces para reaccionar ante algo que sucede. Y con estas decisiones, vives este viaje, estableciendo vínculos con todos tus perros y aprendiendo a sobrevivir en la naturaleza.

La mecánica de la muerte es simplemente brillante y encaja perfectamente con el tono. El juego funciona con «carreras» en las que intentas llegar a una casa con una linterna roja, tu hogar. Cada vez que pierdes una carrera por morir de hambre o por ser asesinado por algo, tu personaje se despierta al comienzo del viaje, como si esa carrera fuera algo que ella solo imagina sobre cómo será el viaje. Y debido a eso, aprende cosas y se prepara mejor para la «próxima» carrera, porque considera las cosas que «imagina».

Los gráficos son perfectos para lo que quieren transmitir. La física no es muy buena (cómo se mueve el tobogán, etc.), pero no estamos aquí por el realismo, sino para vivir una historia increíble sobre el autodescubrimiento.

Si te encantan los perros, te gustan los juegos en los que las decisiones son importantes y en los que tienes que estar pendiente de tus provisiones, no lo dudes y compra este juego, vale totalmente la pena. Eso sí, solo está en Ingles, ni voces ni textos en Español, pero no es un inglés difícil y como puedes ir pausando, coge un diccionario y aprende las palabras que no sepas jajaja.

I didn’t know what to expect when I started the game, maybe a simple survival game with sledding mechanics. But oh boy I wasn’t prepared! First, I must say I love animals, and I love dogs but I’m extremely allergic to them so I cannot have one of my own and that’s something that hits me hard.

And now back to the game, The Red Lantern is a game where they put all their souls on those dogs that you chose to take on an adventure exploring the wilderness to demonstrate something to yourself. And every dog has a distinct personality, a way to be, to move, to feel alive. I just play a little bit, but I’m totally engaged with these little puppies and having this adventure with them is just incredible.

The game is not about fighting but about making decisions sometimes about changing the route to check the wilderness, sometimes to react to something that happens. And with these decisions, you live this journey, making boundaries with all your dogs, and learning to survive in the wilderness.

The death mechanic is just brilliant at fits perfectly on the tone. The game works on “Runs” in which you try to reach a house with a red Lantern on it, your home. Every time you lose a run due to starving, or been killed by something, your character wakes up at the beginning of the journey just as if that run is something she just imagen on how the journey will be. And because of that, she learns things and prepare better for the “next” run, because she considers the things she “imaging”.

The graphics are perfect for what they want to say. Physics are not great (How the slide moves, etc.) but we are not here for realism, but to live a incredible history about self-discovery.

If you love dogs, like games where choices are important and where you have to keep an I on your supplies, do not hesitate and buy this game, it’s totally worth it.

Beautiful game. You can honestly keep playing this multiple times and still have fun with it. The last two achievements are buggy for me and not showing up, but I also play on laptop.

The doggos are customizable and you choose who you get :3
