Enjoyable experience and a much appreciated expansion on the world of Outer Worlds. There was no lack of things to do that felt unique as far as quests go without just being a series of fetch quests. I wish some of the companions had a bit more meat to their stories and I felt one more complete world to explore would have really rounded out the experience. Playing on higher difficulties is a must, once you get ahold of a couple special guns, it becomes pretty easy to wipe out any of the bosses. Overall, it was worth the money in terms of time played and I'm compelled to give it another play through. I can't wait for DLC.

Solid game. Interesting story. I enjoyed this game as much as the first one. The third person mode is a very nice addition. I found myself using it more than first person.

The only downside is that there are a few bugs here and there. Hopefully they are fixed in the future.

I think I'll be one of the people here on the mixed feelings. I loved the first game, and felt this is a good enough continuation.

+ Gunplay is great, tons of variations, really faster paced than the first game
+ Visuals are awesome, even playing on low to medium settings

- as many other games this one suffers from simplification in skills, and doesn't tell you what's "a lot" and what is "too much" - for example I had lockpicking 15, and I don't think I found locks harder than 6-7
- Generally the game is very bad at communicating what skills/perks do - Drumroll talent adds 50% ammo and slowly recovers your ammo, but you have to read the whole thing to know that, cause only the capacity is highlighted
- too many perks - many of them doing pretty much nothing while others being terribly OP. I'd feel less perks to pick/have, and more skill points to have more options in the world would have translated better
- Despite being Obsidian RPG, has little to no options or I felt that way - the conversation mostly have three options, 1. going forward, 2. going forward and being snappy, 3. going forward and being a ♥♥♥♥
- It tries to promote replaying value, but since the point above I don't, too little options to go through, factions to join
- and my biggest problem - loss of character. Parts of the story became generic, unimaginative, humor was stale, rehashed from the first game

It's fun. An rpg, narrative-driven adventure with satisfying combat.
The open world is interesting and exploration iis rewarding. It's also quite pretty, colorful, clearly a decent artistic vision behind it.
The gunplay is satisfying and there are multiple interesting weapons to play with.
Narrative choices matter, mechanically in a way similar to fallout, but we have less agency over the world events.
As for the worldbuilding, the way the factions are presented is noteworthy. Especially the protectorate feeling of oppressive dictatorship, with its propaganda radio's marching songs and permanent surveillance culture.
The others - a caricature of greedy corporation and exaggerated out of touch academia - are more akin to borderlands humour. It conveys those comedic parts effectively, but the writing stumbles when trying to be serious, coming off as childishly stereotypical or naive. It's not New Vegas.
Speeaking of stereotypes, the companions are just that. Very little personality shownig through the cliches they're written to portray.
For those asking if the writing is "woke" - absolutely. It's literally matriarchy in space (bar a cartoon villain man), which is ironic given the dystopian setting.
All in all the game is a net positive, though there's a lot of unrealised potential.

I tried to like this game, but it is missing a hook that makes it click for me. Couple that with a pretty lengthy list of things that are downright bad and I couldn't get into the game.

The companions are not particularly memorable, the locations are pretty generic and the storyline is incredibly bland.

The guns feel solid to use BUT I found myself running out of ammo every other engagement. Then my companion would nag me to craft more. So I would find myself getting invested in the combat and then ripped out of it to do crafting and menu chores. Not fun.

I liked the first game, but this game just didn't do it for me.

I mean, its decent. Lets just put it this way ... I'm glad I bought it on sale.
$70 per game, especially when its just a rehashed version of the first one, is outrageous in and of itself. Most new games are trash, with a handful of exceptions like BG3 or Conan Exiles. This one isnt trash so much as a boring storyline replete with all the usual betrayals and gofer quests. Companions are somewhat shallow and only worth following side quests to make them more effectual in combat. There is limited development beyond the opening background for each companion, no behavioral changes, no romance, no secondary betrayals or amazing twists in the story. Its just sort of a honeydo list of tasks to get item A to convince person B to provide you with clue C, all to stop a common narrative plot which could result in more fighting between factions D, E and F.

I just deinstalled, not even going to finish it. Forced myself through 12h of it, there is just no way. Very underwhelming, it's not worth the money... not at least you can get it for like 5 bucks no more.

Yay: characters, dialogs, some beautiful environments.

Meh: story and storytelling. the first one did a lot, this one is a very… conventional and bland one. i cared about what happened in the first, i don’t really care what happens in this one. Some choices can be morally questionable but not to the degree of the first, not even after 11h. And AI is ... pffffrt it's made so that you can progress in the game otherwise it makes zero sense -.- Combat is very... uninteresting.

Nay: no innovation on gameplay. open world is super empty. doing a sneaky character means you'll just suck on mandatory bossfights, and for that i had to lower the difficulty from hard to story. movement can sometimes be absolute garbage and you run into invisible walls and ledgers. PERFORMANCES: 2k ultrawide requires the use of FSR on my 7900XTX, with high settings, not very-high (except foliage otherwise you lose a lot in the environment...), and it swallows the 2600MHz of the cores... for a very plastic-y render. The first one also had this issue... it's not different here.

Bugs: didn't get any except that the game requires to restart steam before i attempt to start or restart it... oh wait there IS another bug: it ALWAYS opens the Microsoft Store several minutes after starting the game!!! This is a fresh windows install and only happening since i added TOW2!

my god is that where we're at with games now? Microslop, never again. Better download 120GB of cumulative updates from ... alternative sources, than paying a cent for this slop.

First off you can't change the outfits of the Companions. Second the weapons suck really bad in the Outer Worlds 2 game. But most of all so far the Armor and other stuff is terrible. Nothing so far I have seen is fully automatic at all in the game hear. Unlike in the first Other Worlds game you have a choice between Semi automatic and fully automatic weapons and in the second game it looks like you don't get this choice

In short:
This game is condescending, narrative-wise and mechanism-wise. Don't buy it.

In full:

Please keep in mind that I'm only lashing out after 181 hours of gameplay, and having unlocked the achievement for completing the game.

When you play an RPG, even without the game straight up tells you about it, you can pretty much safely expect you're about to enter a fictional world where you play as the hero to save the day. This game though, keeps reminding you you're not in control. You can spend all the time, do all the work while obeying the unreasonable rules they set, and things can still fall spiraling out of your control and ultimately end the exact way you strived to prevent.

A spoiler-free red-flag example would be, a certain faction you previously aided repeatedly, immediately turns on you simply because you were forced to make a choice that doesn't align with their interests. But you were forced to make that choice because you lacked the skill points to unlock then level up a certain skill for you to make the other choice that you actually prefer, and now you can't acquire more skill points because your level is already capped (a pathetically low level cap of 30).

How about another example? On at least 2 different occasions (that's only as far as I've experienced and remember), you wholeheartedly try to help people stay alive, you do all the legwork and fighting and such, only to find they ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ die anyway eventually. And chances are they may have lived if you weren't there to intervene.

These forced-surprises aren't the good dark humors you appreciated in the Outer Worlds 1 anymore. These were designed because the designers feel the authority to show/prove us they know video games better than we do.

Imagine someone tells you they've got something you might be interested in, and all you have to do is pay fair price for it. You paid, and they delivered. Money well spent, win-win. That was The Outer Worlds 1.

Now imagine this time the same guy tells you they've got something you'll love because you already liked the first thing you paid for. So again, you paid. Only this time, not only did they fail to deliver, they send you a text message and says "lol suck it you ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ idiot." Welcome to The Outer Worlds 2, a game that seizes every chance to be condescending.

I thoroughly enjoyed the satire of the first game and this one builds on it on so many levels. The humour is fantastic and you can approach every quest in different and often very amusing ways. Want to be a dumb person who shoots or breaks things? Well go for it. Want to be a suave spy who charms everyone with how they talk and picks locks to get through things? Absolutely and the game will reward you for your play style with funny quips about it or unique loot.

You can't get everything on a single play through unless you pick very specific skills and perks but if you want that you're probably looking at a guide. My best recommendation is just go in with what feels cool and enjoy the ride for what it is.

+Dialog structure.
No matter what you choose it advances.
You don't just exhaust all option and move on with the main one.
BIG ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ improvement on a usual formula. Very engaging.
Now for someone to put it in an actually good game...

-Companions are awful.
First two are boring.
The rest are a bunch of unlikable brainwashed ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.
-Visual and location design.
Someone gone to Baskin-Robbins, ordered all possible colors and vomited it back.
Painful to look at.
And despite all the haphazardly placed colors it looks like monotonous sludge.
No logic in map design.
There is always some stupid mountain in the way that you have to go around.
-Satire.
I do not think it is a good instrument to criticize something.
You look at the exaggerated version of it and real one does not look as bad in comparison.
You laugh at it and suddenly you're not that angry.
And when you do it this way it is impossible to take seriously.

(originally THIS was a positive review based on the price of £35 then scrolled down and saw original price THIS GAME ISNT WORTH £60)

I'm rewriting this based on seeing the price of £60.

The lack of things to do in the game is strikingly annoying, at 1st you feel like you are getting enough content. then u play a few more hours and notice the planets are liner very liner. all of them follow the same path, u need to traverse the planet to get past a obstacle in the middle of the planet. not very imaginative.

the quests are very shallow and lack lustier and don't normally offer more than 2 ways of completing it. ie stealth or assault stealth normally being talk ur way through the quest with meaningless points.

there is zero flair and personality in this game compared to the 1st one. in the 1st game we got this steam punk space drama.
this game just feels like a liner shooter lacks all the querk of crazy guns, crazy drugs from companies, crazy environments, the graphics feels hella dated and feels muted compared to the 1st one. making it just feel like a budget game compared to the 1st one.

its hard to say it feels like all the love of this game has disappeared and the lack of adventure is just gone.

cant be a space cowboy in this game sadly, the order is boring as hell and auntie is boring without other corps competing with her. the factions that are in this game (and there is only 3 u can have rep with) are Hella boring. u interact with sub rosta (sumgglers 2 times) and the "main" main being a strong word are just trashy written.

its an ok game for £35 but it is a terrible game for £60 and an absolute disaster of a game for £80.

and if I got this game for £15 a month I would be ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ disgusted that this is the tripe we have to put up with. why must the gaming community suffer with sub par games because xbox pass wants to chern games out for free then charge £60 for them. at least charge £20 bucks if ur game is 3/10 complete.

saying that I experienced 1 bug, combat is ok, companions do something I guess and the voice acting is top tier along with the audio. how ever that does not excuse the actual level designers and writers poor effort here

在玩之前，我被无数次提醒天外世界2是和星空一样让人失望的作品。
在玩之后，我知道，自己可能不能过分关注游戏媒体，各大up主对游戏的评价了。

虽然我目前还没有玩过星空，但是天外世界2绝对是值得一玩，让人能够在将近50个小时的主支线流程中保持新鲜感的好游戏。游戏中对于人物的塑造还有各类分支选项的设计让我真的感受到的制作的用心，由于我是舔图玩家，所以几乎没有不能解锁的隐藏选项，也真的让我感受到，花时间探索收集，了解世界背景，是有所收获的。

再说战斗，本作给玩家提供了第三人称视角，这点我真的要好评，我本人虽然也玩fps，但是很少能够习惯第一人称机瞄，而第三人称很好的解决了这个问题，尤其是在本作并不只是敷衍的给你提供一个额外的“选项”，而是真的给第三人称做了良好的设计以及适配的前提下。除此之外，各类枪械，一些特殊武器的奇怪效果，以及队友的神奇小道具，甚至可以给故事的自由额外增添一层战斗流派的自由。

不夸张地说，在这个游戏打到第三十个小时的时候，我就把星空加入愿望单了，很有可能这是个错误的选择，但是天外世界2教会了我要自己去尝试去思考，不要被别人的观点断绝了尝试的可能性。

I've put four hours into this and... this may be worthy of an in-depth post-mortem on how to kill the momentum of your game right from the start.

1. Funny Commercial. Good, no notes.
2. An exposition-heavy teleconference
3. An exposition-heavy in-person conference
4. A throwaway tutorial area with disposable characters
5. More exposition
6. An uneventful opening area with very light combat leading to:
7. A town full of residents overflowing with mind-numbing dialogue, the longwinded-ness of which may only dawn on you after you've already spent a minute or two listening to what you thought was going to be a quick interaction, leading you to carefully consider whether you actually want to talk to any other given random person for fear of being trapped in yet another interminable dialogue from which there is no escape, short of skipping said dialogue, effectively marking the moment when you stopped caring about the world's lore and story.

Can you IMAGINE how annoying that would be?

My opinion may change. But this is what has killed my desire to reopen the game for weeks now.

I do not recommend this game. It starts fun but the minute you get to the first open zone FPS just dies. The performance of this game is astoundingly poor. You can turn on DLSS with its max performance mode along with frame gen and you will still be struggling for a consistent frame rate.
It also suffers from frame drops a lot.
It looks like there is a fun game under this but it is held back by its inability to run decently.

Had a huge blast playing this game. One completionist playthrough was 58 hours which is certainly good value for money. I feel like this game improved on the first in every way, from more satisfying combat to depth of companions.

I liked the companions in the first game but the ones this time around were more likable and entertaining - Marisol was my favourite. Was very happy to play it the same way I play other Obsidian games: by maxing out my speech skill and talking down the big bad evil guy.

Accusations of "wokeness" against this game were particularly ridiculous and I actually missed that it wasn't as "woke" as the first game. Could have done with more queer couples and I know that Obsidian is allergic to romance (looking at you, Josh Sawyer) but the game could have benefited from me being able to give little cheek kissies to my companions. Accusations of this type were also extremely funny when you realise the plot of the game is taking down fictional North Korea through the power of capitalism and logic (if logic were a religion).

I'm so sad that Microsoft doesn't care enough about this game series to give it a sequel. The game very much sets itself up for sequels and we still don't know what happened to Earth. Having finished the game my overall impression was that it was like Dragon Age: Inquisition but with guns. Which, if you ask me, is a very good time.

A perfect game to get on sale. 7.5/10. It feels alot like the New Vegas follow up Obsidian has always wanted to make with some major modern limitations and flaws. Some great comedy, good companions, and obsidians trademark branching decision and faction systems. The flaw system is pretty good as well.

The first outer worlds game is maybe my favorite game ever. Without going into details its just perfect to me, with a great story, beautiful visuals and good mechanics. I can't recommend this second one. For me the story isnt anywhere near as interesting, the visuals have become too cartoonish and unrealistic, the great art nouveau inspiration in the first game is overdone here. I dont know exactly what to say but it doesnt hit the spot for me

so far all i found out is that obsidian sold out to microsoft. making a game about corporate overlords, which is ironic considering how this game feels, plays, and who the publisher is.....

Truly. The game heavily relies on upscaling, and/or Frame Generation. With a 4080 and a Ryzen 9 9800X I get 29-30fps with RTX on, and unless i have Upscaling cranked....or Frame gen on i get poor performance.
Take that for what you want, but the main concern is also the fact is I feel the game is missing some core components from the first game, as well as the skill system is borked, and uncomfortable.
i refunded this game and borrowed a copy from a friend to play on console to try and see if it would get better, It did not.
I do not recommend this title. Microsoft as a publisher is who i blame for this mess and im sorry Obsidian is once again under the knife for a game that is barely meeting expectations. If you enjoy this...good for you. I do not, and would not recommend something under a developer that could do MUCH BETTER under a better publisher.

This game is a gem for RPG connoisseurs. The first Outer Worlds was a good game, it did everything fine and rewarded player choice with interesting consequences. It wasn't outstanding but it wasn't bad either. Outer Worlds 2 expands upon the first game in good ways, it made everything the first game did well a smidge better.

Players are provided with interesting questions founded upon philosophical ideals and the writers toyed with ideazation in a way that is overall fun and engaging. Everyone who remotely enjoys wordplay or conceptualization will have a blast with this game.
With solid faction and worldbuilding ground work you are given a huge array of options to solve of the quests and conflicts the game throws you in. Some few quests are very straightforward and do not allow for player expression but 9/10 times you are not only given an alternative but multiple of them, none of which are inherently the "right" way.

Gameplay is fine - you will have have to do a lot of shooting, even if you decide to talk your way out of most things. The gunplay is solid, nothing groundbreaking but gets the job done. You have a variety of combat tools at your disposal to make gunning and sneaking viable. The gameplay is never in the way of your enjoyment unlike other (older) RPGs where you only endure it to get to the good parts. The actual gameplay are the dialogues and decisions though.

As with most Obisidian games the downside of this game is performance, unless you have a top notch rig chances are the game will run poorly. As with Avowed installing a Frame Generation mod smooths out the experience substantially, on mid range to low range PCs I can't imagine playing this game without it. Even then the FPS mostly hover around 70-100, since Frame Generation generally doubles your fps you can imagine how it plays without it.

Overall Outer Worlds 2 is a content rich experience with intelligent writing worth every penny if you like games that offer choices and actually rewards them with consequences. The ending slides are very varied and reflect your whole journey. Outer Worlds 1 was a 8.5/10 and Outer Worlds 2 is a 9/10 - it's not any choice, it's Spacer's Choice.

I love the world and the writing, and the radio stations are amazing! But overall I don't love the game.

The game heavily punishes you for investing in more than 3 or 4 skills. You won't be able to keep up with the skill checks if you invest in more than that. And worse, you have no way of knowing this until it is too late, unless you do a bunch of reading about the game online. If you walk into the game blind and start investing in the skills that seem interesting to you, you will be behind for the rest of the game because there are also no monster respawns. You will be stuck leveling up in the next area and then going back to past worlds all the time to catch up the things you missed.

Another related gripe I have is the limit on the number of markers you can put on the map. If you made the mistake I did and invested in 1 too many skills, then the hope is to put markers on all the things you want to go back to, but the game limits the number of markers you can place so I had to consign myself to wandering around old empty maps that have nothing to do except re-locate the chests and doors I couldn't open the first time I was there.

Overall the game doesn't seem replayable enough to me to want to do multiple playthroughs, so I just ended up frustrated that there is so much content that I don't get to interact with. I get what the developers were trying to do, but the world design and main plotline don't seem aligned with that goal, and they need to really emphasize the importance of limiting your scope from the beginning. Investing in more than 4 skills shouldn't even be an option because it becomes an unfun gotcha very quickly.

I didn't like Outer Worlds 1 but 2 is great. It's my favorite obsidian game since New Vegas. My only complaint is there's not enough skill points and if you spend them wrong you are screwed. They attempted to rationalize no respec for characters. But I think it's a poor choice even just allowing one respec at the end of the first island could greatly improve the game. I hope they make changes.

As a huge fan of the first game, Outer Worlds 2 was an unexpected arrival, albeit the fact that the original was a relative success should have seen the obvious prediction that a sequel would be made. This is a case where a sequel wasn't really needed, but was interestingly enough and welcome enough to worth having a shot at. On sale, down from £59.99 at only £36, I felt it was worth a pop, even although the reviews weren't massively popular or positive on it. When there is a mostly positive or mixed rating, one tends to hope that the game will just click for yourself, even if it didn't necessarily click for everybody else. Unfortunately, in the case of the Outer Worlds 2, it just doesn't really work. The problem here is that the original was a slightly cartoony and funny game. It had a sense of humour and a real charm to it. Quite simply, it was a lot of fun. By going for the realistic route for the visuals, especially the NPCs and your own character, it's turned something that was a bit of a cartoony comedy into something that is a hybrid of realism mixed with that cartoony comedy, and it doesn't really work. It's not half as funny, and the introduction section is frankly a bit boring and confusing. The problem here just simply seems to be that this feels like cookie cutter of the original. It's kind of like a fan game of the original. It looks quite nice, for sure, but it doesn't fit the vibe that the first game built. Unfortunately, it has to go down as a not recommended. I enjoyed and loved the first game, but the same cannot apply to the second one.

Do not pay attention to my playtime. I did play the game for more than 20 hours up to now. I had the urge to write a review since the game sold mediocre at best and has "Mixed+" reviews. If you liked the first game i think you will like this one too. It improved quite a bit. Some maps are way larger here (i would say at least 3 to 4 times the size of the first map of the first game). The characters are still good, probably not as interesting as in the first one but still likeable. Combat is fine so far as a gun build, choice of weapons is decent. But the most important factor is i have a good time playing it. The game does not bore me, it is not repetitive so far, quests are decent. When i compare it to other big RPGs that i have seen recently which seem huge but hollow, this one offers an enjoyable atmosphere. So i can recommend it (at least on a sale) to everybody who liked its predecessor.

A mediocre game, if that, for a premium price.
It’s bland with quite some bugs, some of the mechanics are even annoying.
Movement, especially jumping, feels weird and has negative impact on combat.

Now they are disappointed that the sales did not meet expectations.
…Maybe it had something to do that the game failed to meet the players’ expectations as well.

If you like the setting in space, play -or replay- the first one. You can get it on sale for under 10€.
I will request a refund for this one, bought it on sale, still not worth it.

At this point, I've been playing for only a few hours of this game. I don't like rating a game too early, but I feel like this game really doesn't pull me in and I want to warn others about my experiences. I'm an avid fan of open world, first person games like fallout and the elder scrolls. Obsidian is well known for making Fallout: New Vegas, many years ago at this point. Ever since the studio has been acquired by XBOX games studios, the quality of these styles of games has dropped.

For all its flaws, I enjoyed the original Outer Worlds and felt like much of its criticism was unwarranted.
I enjoyed it, although I felt it was definitely was not competitive with titles like Skyrim, Fallout 3, or their former Fallout: New Vegas. I used to think that Obsidian, as a studio, was a creative gem. I was excited to experience Avowed to experience the full world of Pillars of Eternity - before being disappointed. At the very least, I saw Avowed through, and chalked it up to a rushed game. The writing and character design in Avowed was abysmal, even if the combat was relatively smooth. Avowed suffered from a lack of interactivity in its world common to other open world games over the past several decades. The reason I bring up Avowed is that Outer Worlds II suffers the same problems. In terms of game design, there are a few real improvements from the first game. The combat feels fluid and can be challenging even on normal difficulty. There are options for weapons and armor, and some interesting enemies with more animation and abilities than the first game. However, there are many, many regressions. Without a build to lockpick, hack, or engineer your way through the early hours of the game, you are simply locked out of content and loot for veritable hours. Even only a few hours in, I found myself backtracking after a level up just to complete an uninteresting quest I stumbled upon earlier with a faction that just wasn't compelling. If you level up and focus on these pathways to get this content/complete quests/obtain loot you kneecap your combat abilities. With there only being a few in game areas for combat on the first map - but several over-leveled enemies in that area, you can easily stumble upon a fight that will easily kill you if you don't play the game in a certain way - yet combat is the primary form of getting experience in the game. The game does not have enough ways to obtain XP considering the draconian nature of its checks. Many checks are pass/fail based on a required skill, and have nothing at all to do with mini-games with difficulty sliders, like in previous open world games. This means that unless a character is geared for combat, they will have a frustrating experience. If a character is geared for combat, they lose out on loot. The checks can be quite high even early in the game - there simply isn't enough content on the first map to warrant that level of frustration. I could better understand if a character specialized over time - but right out the gate? Locked out of content and loot in the tutorial? The world feels very, very closed.

The map design is strange, the color palette headache inducing. The two earliest factions you meet are hyper late stage capitalist or the level of authoritarian communist your parents and grandparents warned you about. Both are propagandized to hell, and both feel quite bad to interact with. It isn't a world I would want to live in. It hits rather close to home considered the highly politicized environment of today. It also isn't lost on the me the irony of a big corporation like Microsoft having its two cents in what makes capitalism good or bad. You can't even help the communists for the most part, other than converting them into capitalists. It may as well be propaganda the game (TM). It's gone from a fun little dystopian world to a very sad reminder of the world I live in. Choose between an authoritarian nightmare or wage-slavery. Why not both? After disappointment, I felt real existential dread.

The story is uninteresting, the characters flat, the writing all over the place. Unless you just want to shoot cool guns or aren't bothered by the politicized undertones (Often in favor of big corpo), I would steer clear of this mess. I used to like Obsidian as a studio, but after this negative experience and the disappointment of Avowed, I've had to re-evaluate my level of respect. It's a pattern now. I think the Obsidian I once knew is dead and gone - I won't be picking up another game from Obsidian.

Wie schon der erste Teil so hat mir auch der zweite Teil sehr gut gefallen. Ich hoffe noch viele weitere Spiele dieser Art spielen zu können. Ich habe das Spiel auf schwer durchgespielt mit allen schlechten Angewohnheiten. Achja Kleptomanie ist echt zum kotzen, das hättet ihr euch sparen können!!!

---Ihr braucht mindestens Rethorik Fertigkeit 11-14 wenn ihr die Gegner überzeugen wollt sich zu ergeben... Wofür sammle ich die ganzen hinweise und mache die ganze Vorarbeit, wenn ich dann dennoch an einem dämlichen Skill Check scheitere. Das fand ich richtig schlecht!

Well......I've been a long time defender of the original game. Thought it was great fun and balanced the humor with action fairly well. I was really looking forward to this.

Although I would rank it as a good game it just didn't have the same pizzaz as the first game. All the worlds were too similar and the gameplay seemed flatter than the first one. The characters were much less interesting as were the story lines.

In the end it's a fetch quest heavy game, as was the first one but this time around it just felt shallower. I also thought the weapon balancing was pretty bad. In the end I used a sniper and chainspark cannon which frankly carries the game. Grenades are not worth messing with either. All told, the gear upgrades just don't do that much and I didn't even bother with them.

Anyway, good game but unlike the 1st one which I played through twice, I don't think I'll give this another run.

As I watched the ending notes that summarized what had happened in my playthrough, I realized how difficult it would be to describe a lot of what happened if I was trying to write a tie in novel. I never felt like I was being led along a set path towards a set ending but the story also felt like it was held together by a thread.

The characters who join your party are Ok at best. They all have personal stories, but I thought the stories in Outer Worlds 1 were better.

If I wasn't doing an NPC's personal mission, I found that I selected them based on their skills and not because of anything in their personalities. They're just all OK.

Will it make you forget Outer Worlds 1? Probably not. But, overall, not bad as a continuation of the Outer Worlds universe. If you liked Outer Worlds 1, you should like this.

一代玩过全结局，二代游戏玩起来特别特别无聊，没错，人物的站桩对话优化了很多，小表情，光影，相比一代优化了不少。

但是，这就是全部优点了

先说战斗吧战斗的打击感真的不如10年前的辐射4，巫师3，甚至可以说不如快20年前的辐射新维加斯，打中敌人就是数字挑一下，任何打击感也没有，等你武器库慢慢多了，击杀总得有点乐趣吧是不是，打爆敌人的头眼球乱飞没有，把人炸成一块一块的也不行，唯一的击杀特效就是把人变成一坨泥或者一坨灰，敌人的尸体死掉以后就是地图里一块不会动的贴图，完全没有辐射4那种布娃娃系统好玩，到后期我最喜欢的武器是快通关的剧情解锁武器战栗大砍刀，为什么因为这是游戏唯一个强制可以击杀肢解的武器。

敌人都是一代都有的换皮，就几个新野兽，武器设计的也是一战武器加点太空未来元素，完事了。

地图设计也是一言难尽，又大又空，基本没啥可探索地点，大部分人类居住的地点和一代一样，都是那种遗弃的状态，放几个野兽等着你去，也就是说完全没有有内容的支线，巫师3多少年前的游戏了通关了这么久我还能记得一些支线的剧情和内容，甚至细节，天外世界2 是你通关了，任何支线剧情都记不起来。

[spoiler]剧情也就那样，甚至不如一代可以阵营来回跳，二代就三个阵营，老妈公司，一个数学教团，一个保卫国，再加上一个路边阵营数学邪教，结果开局那么牛逼的什么保卫国摄政王什么的，你以为后期可以见到？直到最后结局PPT播放你也只能看见摄政王的背影，你觉得你可以一个人像邮差一样改变三方势力的矛盾？或者利用三方势力互相攻击？no no no ，前期就是刷老妈公司好感和数学教团好感，中期有个小高潮就是你去攻占数学教团的智库也就是一个超级AI，这个场景还不错，并且可以自己选择AI的性格，三个阵营三选一，不过对你剧情没有任何影响，也就是稍微改变了一点阵营对话，其他一点反应都没有，而且，不能自己独吞法杖控制钥匙，你有选择可以独吞，但是你独吞了之后完全没有一点剧情的变动，就像新维加斯你自己把豪斯的升级芯片偷了，好好先生会指引你去干掉所有其他阵营boss ，但是天外世界2完全没有一点剧情上的变动，还是得按照规划路线走，到了后期去保卫国星球你就会发现保卫国完全就是背景板，完全没有保卫国阵营的剧情任务我™也是服了，唯一能扯上点关系的是保卫国队友任务，能遇见不会主动攻击你的保卫国，不然所有保卫国士兵见到你都是直接开枪，甚至你能看见保卫国仲裁官，亲自下场打爆保卫国自己人，我很怀疑这游戏是不是做到保卫国，连编剧们都编不下去了只能砍了剧情草草了事，我剧情线里救了多丽丝，我一路玩到大结局，我本来觉得多丽丝会在最后说，这一切都是因她而起，让主角团下船，她自己撞船去黑洞，结果没有，就像听完了一整场交响乐，最后其中的一个小提琴手站起来放了一个响屁然后整场表演结束了，那我救多丽丝和不救其实没有任何区别，而且队友的那个铭记也是搞笑的，队友铭记住什么其实没有任何关系，你对队友的关系好坏不会影响任何事，你对他好一样对他坏也一样，根本不会影响到队友性格从而影响你的剧情，所以这完全就是一个噱头，是诈骗，假的游戏机制，现在等DLC出来玩完再看看有什么可以改的[/spoiler]

Performance in this game is a problem. After substantial twiddling, I cannot find a configuration that is affected by neither frame drops nor screen tearing. And considering the monster PC I'm running it on (why, yes, I [i]am[/i] 40, and no, I [i]don't[/i] have kids), that's kind of damning in itself. If an RTX 5090 and a 9800X3D can't hold a stable 60 FPS with 4x framegen and DLSS on Performance, that's the game's fault. This is especially surprising since Outer Worlds 1 and Avowed didn't have the same troubles as this one.

The game itself is, I think, a victim of the real world. When the Outer Worlds 1 released in 2019, it was before the global pandemic gave every ghoulish capitalist on planet Earth a chance to show us just how thin their moral fiber was. The sequel released six years and two rounds of "once-in-a-lifetime" hyperinflation later, and frankly, the core joke of the series isn't nearly as funny anymore. Spacer's Choice's antics in 2019 were satire; Auntie's Choice's in 2025 feels ripped from the headlines.

The Outer Worlds 2 also falls for a trap that Obsidian has previously managed to avoid; none of the in-game factions are likeable. Auntie's Choice and the Directorate both feel hopelessly dystopian. My character is supposed to be an impartial observer, gathering information about both sides, but me, the person, wants to burn both of them down. Again, this is a timing thing. It doesn't feel like a satire of capitalism versus a satire of collectivism; it feels like the American/Iranian conflict ripped straight from the headlines with the slightest garnish of black humor.

These flaws wind up being worse than the whole of their parts. I could deal with a game that ran like ♥♥♥♥ if it was fun, or a game that was depressing as hell if it was satisfying (see my playtime in Pillars of Eternity 2 and Elden Ring, respectively, as proof of this claim). But Outer Worlds 2 is more or less both, which leaves very little to recommend.

Yes, the companions are not as amazing so far as the first game but I don't find it taking away from the story like others are saying. I really, REALLY wanted to like this game. I can forgive the excruciatingly slow install speed. I can forgive the broken textures in the cut scenes. I can even forgive the fact that it blasts its theme song, with no way of adjusting the volume, for the entire six and a half minutes it was "compiling shaders". But the game commits the unforgivable sin of being boring. It might have an amazing story, but I'll never get to it, because I find myself longing for the relatively stimulating activity of shelf spamming in Fallout 4.

То есть, видно, что на данный проект было затрачено довольно много усилий и им занимались компетентные люди.
Однако эти компетентные люди почему-то не смогли сделать финальный шаг, который для такой опытной в РПГ студии как Obsidian должен быть самым простым - сделать хорошие квесты и дать возможность проходить их хоть минимально разнообразно.

Приведу самый показательный пример - одна из первых больших миссий, где ты должен проникнуть на наземную станцию врагов и решить вопрос с ними.
Судя по тому, как локация устроена - вентиляционные трубы-проходы - авторы предполагают, что локацию можно пройти в стеллсе. Однако есть участки, которые практически невозможно пройти без боя. И, как я узнал из интернета, босса этой локации можно и не убивать, а договориться с ним ... если ты мало того что залезешь в каждый терминал на этой станции, но и выполнишь с ними какие-то конкретные действия, а не просто проскипаешь все записи (что я интуитивно уже делаю в играх) ... но до многих терминалов ты по стелсу и не пройдешь, как я ранее упоминал. Поэтому выходит, чтобы убедить одного человека заключить мир с тобой, ты должен по сути перебить всех на его станции - вот это я понимаю РПГ. И судя по тому, что я прочитал в интернете, таких квестов будет много.
Другая важная проблема - мне, как и многим людям, с кем я обсуждал эту игру, было просто невероятно плевать на то, что в ней происходит. В ней что главный герой неинтересен, без интересной проблемы, так и персонажи и фракции вокруг - нет какого-то конфликта, с которым ты бы мог себя ассоциировать

И это довольно обидно, т.к. игра от студии, которая сделала ну точно одну из топ-3 моих любимейших игр - New Vegas, где этих проблем просто нет. Игру, которая является полной противоположностью этой - устаревшей, неказистой, но умевшей в интересные квесты, интересные фракции и показывающей харизматичных персонажей

Даже и не припомню, чтобы удалял игру с таким разочарованием

Well a couple hours and the bugs are showing. lets see where to start. I had to upload the game again after 3 hours of play because I could not get back on my ship. The speech options is very poor. The companions are annoying as can be, the constant wireless is nerve wracking is a fail I had to turn it all off. I just wish I would have got a refund. This game could be free and you would sill lose money.

Writing is ok. Game doesn't save properly, super annoying. like you have to manuelly clear saves constantly, and if it reads the saves as full you cant delete or load any files. 4 auto saves till it starts happening. games been out for how long lol? first Outer worlds launched with the same problem, but I guess they can't be bothered to fix it before releasing DLC. I will say, the flaws are really fun and my favorite part of the game. Super creative and lots of funny moments. But yeah, game doesn't really function. You could play it without saving I guess

Bir süredir indirime girmesini bekliyordum ve indirime girdiği gibi aldım. Ben oyunu 30 dolara aldım ve indirimsiz hali 50 dolar. Söylemeliyim ki bu oyun en fazla 30 dolar etmeli. İndirimden almama rağmen pahalı gelen bir oyun. Şuan yaklaşık 15-16 saat oynadım ve size net bir şekilde söylemeliyim ki sürenin çoğu bir yerden bir yere gitmekle geçti. Şimdi şöyle düşünebilirsiniz belki ''Bu oyunda fast travel yok mu ?'' işin üzücü kısmı fast travel var. Bir bölgeye daha önce gittiyseniz evet oraya hızlı bir şekilde gidebiliyorsunuz. Fakat asıl problem o bölgeye ilk defa gidebilmekte. Oyun asla size nasıl gideceğinizi tarif etmiyor , ''Haritaya bakarak giderim ne abarttın aq.'' diyebilirsiniz ama problem şu ki haritada kendinize bir rota çizip onu takip etmeye başladığınızda önünüze geçemediğiniz dağlar ve tepeler çıkıyor. Sizi illa kendi istediği yoldan götürüyor ama size o yolu söylemediği için çok uzun süre dolaşmanız gerekiyor. Bu durumu abarttığımı düşünüyorsanız oyunda bir yerden sonra canınızı sıkacağına eminim. Sistem bilgilerimi incelemeye ekledim , oyun bende npc kalabalığı olan yerlerde beni biraz da olsa rahatsız edecek kadar kasma yaptı. Alacak arkadaşlar buna dikkat ederse iyi olur. Oyunu oynadığım 21.03.2026 tarihinde hala oyunda buglar ve hatalar vardı. Oyunun hikayesine gelirsek açıkçası aşırı merak ettiren bir hikaye değil ama yine de sonunu görmek için çabalayacağım. Oyunda Türkçe dil seçeneği olmaması ayrı berbat. Neyse ki Türkçe yama kurulabiliyor ve sorunsuz bir yama. Fakat 30 dolar verdiğim bir oyuna yama kurmamın gerekmesi kötü bir durum. Oyunun hiç mi iyi yanı yok diyecekseniz , benim en çok hoşuma giden şey oyundaki sanat tasarımı. Görsel olarak oyun çok güzel duruyor. Benim için oyunun artıları bu kadar. Eksileri saymakla bitmiyor maalesef. Örneğin yan görevler çok sıkıcı ve ilgi çekmiyor. Sadece tam anlamıyla amelelik. (Git haritada poster topla. Şurada birisi hapse düşmüş onu kurtar. Eski bir arkadaşımı görmem gerek savaşın ortasındayız ama göremeye gidelim.) tarzı saçma sapan görevler. En azından beni asla içine çekmedi ve içine çekmediği gibi bence yapmamıza değecek ödüller bile vermiyor. RPG deniyor ama ben bir kaç seçim harici olayları değiştiren bir şey göremedim. Benim bu oyunu asıl oynama isteğim RPG seviyor olmam ve KCD2 den sonra tekrar kendimi farklı dünyalar atmak istemem. Ama size net söyleyebilirim ki KCD2'nin yanından bile geçmez. Biraz fazla uzatmış olabilirim ama almak isteyenler bunları göz önünde bulundursun. Oyunda puan vermem gerekirse 10 üzerinde anca 5 alacak bir oyun derim.

I would be having fun if the game wasn't constantly showing me all the cool things I can't do because it only gives 2 skill points every level. There is zero chance this wasn't one of the biggest pieces of feedback they got in playtests, and there's so many ways to solve it while still sticking to their core design principle here. Honestly shocked a studio with this much RPG experience shipped this system. Real shame as it's otherwise a massive step up from the first game across the board, but the endless red text telling me I can't have fun has drained my interest completely.
