Он очень необычный, в меру приправленный мизогинией и едким чёрным юмором. При этом одновременно умудряется оставаться своего рода доброй, семейной сказкой для самых маленьких:
с одной стороны, главная героиня - ветреная, неблагонадёжная девица, которая завидев одну лишь беглую брошюрку со смазливым принцем, обещающим исполнить любое желание, сразу же, нераздумывая, бросает скрепную философскую жизнь со своей подругой детства и несётся чёрт-те пойми куда, на встречу приключениям;
а с другой - в своём приключении она показывает себя максимально достойно. При встрече с рыбаком - не пытается сесть ему на уши и вымолить побольше рыбы - нет, ей хватает хороших манер осмелиться просить у него лишь знаний, а не материальных благ. Единственное - мне не сильно понравилось, что она по итогу даже ничем не отплатила ему за знания, но ладно уж. Будем считать, что они еще успеют счесться.
Потому что встреченному чуть позже жнецу, например, она честно платит деревом и камнем за его тяжелую работу. Вместо того, чтобы давить на жалость и прибегать к прочим манипулятивным женским штучкам. Достойно уважения, я считаю. Такая история способная научить молодого человека хорошему, это факт и мне это нравится.
А вот что не особо понравилось - так это геймплей. У него вполне толковый, залипательный концепт (который разработчики окрестили "Тайм менеджмент"), но реализация оставила желать лучшего. Потому что 99% времени занимают изнурительные анимации того, как героиня бегает по экрану - я вообще не понял, к чему это, и почему она не могла бы совершать все свои действия моментально, по нажатию кнопки.
Как бы, задумка игры в том, чтобы правильно выбирать последовательность своих действий - это здорово. Но каким образом должно быть интересно сидеть и ждать проигрывание каждой из её неторопливых анимаций для этих действий? В игре нет достаточной глубины и нагромождения механик, чтобы всё это томительное перемещение героини от точки к точке в реальном времени имело какой-то хоть самый минимальный смысл.
Пока авторы из Alawar не введут патч, который позволил бы убрать анимации, рекомендовать не осмелюсь.

My ex-wife and I have a daughter together, and we adopted our son together. Both are now 4 years old.
When we were going through our separation, I felt lost and unhappy. I was self-destructive. One day, I was so angry with everything spiraling out of control that I punched a concrete wall in a moment of overwhelming emotion. This resulted in breaking my fifth metacarpal in my right hand—the hand I worked with, played games with, and used to carry my children to bed—the hand I desperately needed to ensure I could continue providing.
Upon learning the severity of the self-inflicted damage, I became almost suicidal. Keep in mind that just a few months before this, I was the happiest man, with no history of depression or anxiety. I had never experienced anger outbursts, nor was I the type to break down and cry, but I was in a tough situation that truly prevented me from seeing the light on the other side.
With nothing better to do, I looked for a game I could play WITH ONE HAND while recovering. Somehow, I stumbled upon this game and read some of the comments. I decided it was worth a try... I must admit I didn't beat the game, nor did I play as much as some of you. In fact, I may have played this game for only a day or two. That being said, after doing so, I had a new joy and hope for life. I managed to leave behind the pain and suffering that had been thrust upon me. I could experience the joy and happineass of other people. I relaxed for 5 ♥♥♥♥ minutes listening to this music, long enough to realize that I would be okay.
After realizing this, I turned off the game and went back to work. My hand hurt a lot, but I was motivated. I stopped feeling so sorry for myself and became the father I needed to be at that moment, not the weak boy I was behaving like.
Today, I am close friends with the mother of my children. We don't fight, argue, or say hurtful things to each other. We are parents and friends.
Now I have 3 children. My third child is, wait, ALSO 4 YEARS OLD. The woman I am with was going through a very similar situation at the time of my separation, and we just unexpectedly stumbled into each other's lives. We have been dating for a year and are very happy together.
Moral of the story: you never know what life has in store for you, and if I had given up when all odds were against me, I wouldn't be where I am today. This silly little game helped me realize that.

The Musketeers: Victoria's Quest is a mobile app that's been dumped on Steam as a cheap nasty cash grab, but seems to have since been removed from the app stores. It's a pointless clicker/time management mobile app. There's no gameplay, just clicking. The game is made to look like you're making interesting decisions, but really, you could write a script to randomly click the screen and given enough time, it would beat the game. Each stage has you clicking on various things to collect items which are then consumed when you click on an obstacle, which unlocks more things to click on. Basically the same exact game as the 12 Labours of Hercules mobile apps that infest Steam.
If this sounds completely mindless, you're not wrong.
From a technical perspective, the game doesn't meet basic minimum requirements that most PC gamers expect as standard.
There's no options to change the resolution for the game or customise the graphics settings. There's no way for gamers to ensure this is running at the native resolution of their displays... there's no guarantee this game will look right on any PC as a result of this hamfisted design decision. There's no way for gamers to try improve the low quality graphics.
The game features simple, cartoony 2D graphics, of the type you normally expect to see in low effort mobile apps. 3D graphics programming does require a degree of skill and competence and unfortunately not all developers have the budget or talent to deliver this, despite 3D graphics cards hitting the mainstream in the 1990's. Considering this is being evaluated as a PC game, having the graphics phoned in like this isn't going to result in a high quality, visually impressive game that PC gamers are used to seeing.
The controls can't be customised because the game has such a dumbed down, simplified interface that it's just iPhone screen tapping stuff. The fact that the interface is this dumbed down might be seen as a problem in itself, however... this is a fairly shallow experience if you're the kind of gamer that likes to play games with deep, rich control schemes and interaction. You'll get none of that here.
This looks and feels like a mobile app, but I wasn't able to find it on the app stores. Maybe it was removed, maybe it was rejected by Apple and Google (they do have more rigorous quality standards than Valve does for Steam, after all).
Regardless, for all intents and purposes "The Musketeers: Victoria's Quest" might as well be a mobile app, it has the same limitations and dumbed down qualities. It's impossible to recommend such a game to PC gamers. We don't spend all this money building gaming rigs so we can pretend they're iPhones and play games that might as well be mobile apps.
These technical defects push this game below acceptable standards for any modern PC game.
Reviewing SteamDB to check how popular this game was with players reveals a surprise... there's a very healthy spike in player counts for the game. But this only appears around the same time that trading cards were applied to the game... so this is just card idlers getting their cards and moving on. A closer look at the numbers shows the game just has a couple of players every week running up the game and idling it for cards, then deleting it. We must ask how it benefits gamers for there to be so many games like this, with no merit as a serious game, that only generate sales from people idling and selling the trading cards.
The Musketeers: Victoria's Quest has the laughable price of around $4 USD, it's not worth it given the defects and shortcomings with the product, especially considering the unethical nature of the developer. Because this is the kind of game you can just play for free on mobile phones, it's impossible to recommend anyone should pay money for the same experience on Steam.

Not well thought out. you sometimes have to wait 10 minutes for the market to produce the item you need. also you will have to restart a level several times because you run out of supplies and there is no way to get where you need to get. Not fun.

One of the most difficult RESOURCE MANAGING time management games I've ever played.
It's quite an older game in the genre but don't let that fool you. There's a little more story that's going on as you play the game and that's something that makes it different IMO to other games alike.
Gonna update this review once I invest more time into it. It has begun to be better than I expected and I am glad that I gave it a chance. I recommend it and it's definitely a VERY challenging game to 3 star each level.
[Edit] I never heard back, but I did figure out the issue for myself. I am able to play the game now, so I changed the review to "Yes".
[Original] I actually really love this game, but it currently crashes just before the main menu loads and is unplayable. I purchased it 3 years ago and I have played it many times, but when I went to play it again a few days ago I ran into this issue. I have emailed them to see what the issue is (after going through all the usual trouble-shooting steps with Steam). If I hear back and the issue is resolved, I will happily change this review. In the meantime, don't waste your money on an unplayable game.
I could only get as far as level 10 and now I can't open it or play it at all and there is no game support what so ever.

Ok time management game.
(I've completed 13 levels.) Yes, you have to plan ahead a little: make sure you don't needlessly expend resources that you don't have a producer for, and then you won't get stuck. It's still a lot of waiting and watching the little people run back and forth, but that comes with the genre. I like that it has a crafting system as well, and the levels and missions feel well designed, and the challenges vary.
Good enough if you like that sort of game.

И ещё задания не совпадают с тем, что нужно сделать на уровне. Нужно построить золотую шахту максимального уровня, но при этом накопить дерева и многие подобные вещи.
Лучше обратите внимание на другие игры жанра - 12 подвигов Геракла, Моаи и прочая..

Jak się coś w danych poziomie zrobi nie tak, trzeba go powtarzać od początku.
Pro mě velmi zábavná hra. Sice je to klikačka, ale musí se u toho přemýšlet, jinak spoustu úrovní člověk prostě nepřekoná. Líbilo se mi, že to vyžaduje i logické myšlení. A v tomto směru mě zklamalo finále a poslední tři úrovně, kde se to zvrtne v náhodný příchod surovin. Což znamenalo, že trvalo i víc jak půl hodiny čekání (žádné hraní, jen čekání), než přijde co potřebuji. Takže jsem si u toho čel knížku. Tedy až na ten závěr to bylo fajn. Dobře to odsýpá, pěkně to vypadá, prima podkresová hudba a příběh který vás protáhne skrze několik různých prostředí. Celkově spokojenost.

It's a twist on the 3 musketeers story, this time the 4th musketeer is a young woman.
You battle your way through 45 levels.
Every level starts off at your tent and you need to gather resources while also spending them trying to reach the end.
The twist here is that sometimes you will have to restart because certain levels have to played in a very precise order because of how the resources are layed out.
Another difference with 12 labours is that sometimes you will need to craft certain items in order to do certain tasks.
For instance : wood and iron will make a weapon to defeat an enemy blocking your way.
This adds to the difficulty of plotting the correct way through the maze.
Another plus point is that you can turn of the time limit so you can play without that urge of being very fast all the time.
Very entertaining, I spent more than half a day on this game.

I think that it's worth a try if you're into this genre.
I have played a lot of these games and this one is somehow both easier and more difficult than any other one that I have played. I've gotten three stars on all the levels that I've completed regardless of how long it took me to get through them. However, there's this arbitrary jump in difficulty in some level's where you absolutely must go in a specific way or you'll run out of resources. I finally rage quit and uninstalled the game after I restarted the same level for the fourth time and got down to the last three things in my path when I realized that I was supposed to come this way first and now I didn't have the resources to finish.

Ik liep vaak vast omdat je niet de juiste volgorde kiest. Ok kan ik mee leven. Maar het level waarin je de Markiezin moet redden is een flop. Hoe je het ook doet je komt altijd grondstoffen te kort. Ik stop er maar mee na een paar keer opnieuw het level doorlopen te hebben.

A really fun and challenging game with a cute story, trying to get everything in 3 stars will take some strategic thinking. I would recommend the game, especially if you are a fan of 'A kingdom for the princess ' games, also a tip to play for anyone who liked this game.
This is the most unforgiving "casual" game I have ever played. There are traps built into almost every level where you can get stuck if you do not spend the limited resources in exactly the right order. I consider this a design flaw -- in a time management game, the only penalty for doing things in the wrong order should be that it takes longer to complete the level (and maybe you miss out on getting three stars). Under no circumstances should you get completely stuck and be forced to restart, yet it has happened to me at least a dozen times while playing this game. It's a shame because the game does have a pleasant aesthetic about it, but the gameplay has become too frustrating to be worth continuing.
It's a pretty good game. Tough to solve if I wanted to get 3 stars after each levels. And I really want to get those 3 stars. Grrr. If you're a true casual player, I recommend this game. If you're a nutty perfectionist like me, this may cause you some frustration. Good luck!

I’d like to give a mixed review, but since I can't, I'll give it thumbs down for all the backtracking. It’s a simple resource management game with 45 levels.
Pros
It has some nice artwork, and you can play through the levels without a timer.
Cons
You might have to restart the level if you make one mistake. This is especially frustrating because you might not realize the mistake until the end of the level. In addition, some levels require large stockpiles to solve them, so even if you don’t make any mistakes, you are stuck waiting until you can accumulate enough items to complete the level. Another flaw, there is not enough in-game explanation. For example, I had problems with level 8 because I ran out of stones for construction and I thought the market produced only gold. The market actually produces a random item so you will get stones if you wait long enough. However, there is absolutely no explanation provided and after getting gold three times in a row from the market, I had no reason to suspect that stones were forthcoming.
An unusally deep Time Management Game. In the first few levels there is the possibility of having to restart because you used a resource you needed to get past a certain point, but you can quickly learn to check what is available for use and within 3 levels I found this to no longer be an issue for me.
I wish this game had more levels, or had sequels as I enjoy it a lot. I find it relaxing though difficult to attain perfection playing in timed mode so I listen to either music or an audiobook and play in relaxed mode.

Перед нами необычный тайм-менеджмент, а необычный он из-за того, что плюет на все писанные и неписанные законы жанра. Уже с первых уровней возникают вопросы к сложности и логики игры. На протяжении каждого уровня нам нужно добывать различные ресурсы для выполнения заданий, но каждая единица ресурса критична. Если условную единицу дерева потратить в ненужный момент времени, то уровень невозможно будет пройти. Из-за этого каждый уровень нужно переигрывать множество раз, а это безумно долго и скучно. Сюжет неповторимо глуп и я просто закрываю на него глаза, звуковые и музыкальные эффекты среднего уровня.
Если вы поймете как и куда потратить ресурсы на каждом уровне, то столкнетесь с еще одной бедой. Для конечной цели всех уровней нужно собрать большое количество некого ресурса, а их обычно получаем из полезных построек (Шахта, пекарня и т.д.) но данные сооружения выдают ресурсы с огромной задержкой! Из-за этого факта мы будем просто сидеть по 10-15 минут и ждать накопления золота, а может еды, ну или другой нужной штуки.
Игру я прошел, но удовольствия получил с гулькин нос. Обратите внимание на другие игры этого жанра, а The Musketeers: Victoria's Quest лучше пропустить мимо глаз. Берегите нервы и спасибо за вашу отдачу и лайки.

Im Prinzip ein gutes Spiel. Leider geht Level 10 nicht, weil ein Backstein fehlt.

The game is quiet interesting Becoz you have to re-play the game Level over and over again... the levels are not easy after you reach level 15, if you do one mistake then again you should restart the whole level.. for me it was challenging. Short tempered people stay away from this game xD
This is a nice little resource management game, sort of like 12 Labours of Hercules. Loosely following the Three Musketeers novel, but with some changes (for instance the main character in the game is female), you have to collect materials to clear levels as you progress.
Quite fun.

Do not play, even if you're interested in resource management games. Sure, the plot is cute, but the actual gameplay is so dead boring I am deleting it from my library without even bothering to make it past the first few levels. I got it on 90% off and still feel it was a waste of money.

Gioco di gestione risorse composto da 45 livelli affrontabili in 3 modalità differenti. Piuttosto atipico nel suo genere, riesce nel compito di raccontare una storia col sussegguirsi dei livelli, introducendo man mano png, equipaggiamento, crafting e sporadiche sezioni rompicapo di fine livello. Non del tutto banale e scontato, può capitare di gestire male le proprie risorse e rimanere bloccati, col conseguente risultato di dover ricominciare tutto da capo. Lascio a voi giudicare se questo può essere positivo (maggiore sfida) o frustrante (ho buttato via venti minuti e devo ripartire da zero!!). Ho completato il gioco nella modalità rilassata (senza timer) impiegando 15 ore e collezionando 41/44 trofei. La modalità a tempo è sicuramente più difficile ed aumenta longevità e livello di sfida ... ma tutto sommato considero di poter impiegare meglio il mio tempo, anche giocando a titoli dello stesso genere, tipo la serie di Team Rescue, per questo non mi sento di consigliarlo.
Resource managment game without a time limit factor. I absolutely loved it. The levels take longer to complete than most games in this genre, but that's not necessarily a bad thing. Awesome game. I wish there was a sequel, or another title done the same way.

Hmmmm, sehr schwere Entscheidung.
Einerseits hat das Spiel alles, was man von einem Zeitmanagement-Spiel gewöhnt ist und auch verlangt.
Es ist auch nicht wirklich schlecht oder so. Es macht ansich meistens Laune.
Die Grafik liegt über dem Durchschnitt und bietet sogar HD, hat aber trotzdem Ränder.
Es gibt eine Story, ein unverbrauchtes Setting. Man weint ihr aber auch nicht hinterher, wenn man es wegklickt.
Steuerung ist auch prima, alles kein Problem bisher.
Es gibt wählbare Schwierigkeitsgrade, die einen z.B. abbaubare Ressourcen im Vorfeld schon mal vorweg anklicken lassen.
Das 3-Sterne-System ist auch dabei.
Alles toll soweit.
ABER: warum bauen die Entwickler so verdammt viele Spaßkiller ein?
Es geht bereits nach den ersten Missionen voll zur Sache, man wird also nicht behutsam udn mit einigen großen Erfolgen ins Spiel geschickt, damit man sich wohl fühlt udn sich für einen großartigen Gamer hält, der das Spiel sicher locker packen wird.
Das merkt man daran, dass man kaum bis gar nicht die Möglichkeit hat, alle 3 Sterne abzugrasen.
In anderen Spielen ist das natürlich auch relativ schwer und es komtm auf wenige Sekunden Zeit an.
Nur hier bekomme ich es einfach nicht hin.
Mal ist eine Mission dabei, die man mit 3 oder auch nur mit 2 Sternen abschließt, dann wiederum rennt die Zeit komplett aus, obwohl man meint nicht schlecht gewesen zu sein.
Aber muss es denn sein, dass man die stellenweise sehr langen Maps wegen jedem Blödsinn imemr wieder neu starten muss, nur weil es irgendwo hakt?
Damit meine ich vor allem die blöden Gamestopper.
Man fängt also an und versucht möglichst ohne Unterlass die Ressourcen abzubauen udn die Wege freizuräumen udn die Gebäude zu bauen.
Ich habe etliche dieser Spiele gespielt.
Ein gutes Spiel zeichnet es aus, dass das nach wenigen Karten ins Blut übergeht und man evtl. mal eine Karte neu starten muss, weil man aus Zeitgründen knapp an einer sehr guten Bewertung vorbeigerutscht ist, weil man vielleicht eine Sache zu früh gemacht hat, oder eben zu spät udn deswegen Leerlaufzeit in Kauf nehmen musste.
Doch ich bin bereits zum zigsten Male nur daran gescheitert weiterzukommen, weil man an mehreren Stellen sich das Kartenende verbockt.
Und das nur, weil man z.B. zu früh sein Hauptgebäude aufwertet, um endlich einen zweiten Arbeiter zu bekommen.
Oder weil man das falsche Gebäude zuerst baut.
Oder weil man einen Weg zu weit leergefegt hat.
Oder oder oder.
Udn das passiert dauernd und unverhofft mitten irgendwo aufm Weg oder so udn kann eien Sache nicht zu Ende bringen.
Und eben weil die Karten viel länger dauern als bei den meisten anderen Spielen, ist es natürlich reine Zeitverschwendung, wenn man bereits zum dritten Mal nach 10 oder 15 Minuten neu starten muss, nur weil 1 oder 2 Holzstücke oder was auch immer fehlen, um eine Aktion durchführen zu können.
Jedes andere mir bekannte Spiel hat keines dieser Probleme.
Bei Hercules z.B. habe ich es vielleicht 2 oder 3 mal irgendwann gehabt, dass ich wirklich einmal so einen Gamestopper drin hatte.
Bei Rescue Team gabs das auch gelegentlich, aber da dauern die Karten meistens auch nur 3-5 Minuten.
Da war das aber dann auch noch eher offensichtlich, dass die Karte zum Beispiel wollte, dass man zuerst ein Gebiet säubert.
Eigentlich sollte ein Spiel ja so optimiert sein, dass man irgendwie immer ans Ende kommen kann, oder halt auf einen Blick sieht, das man da totgelaufen ist.
Hier ist es nicht so.
Fast auf jeder Karte stochere ich mich langsam voran und stecke irgendwann mal wieder fest.
Das hier ist keine Zeitmanagementspiel, wo man die Wege klug wählen sollte, Leerlauf meiden muss, die Gebäude nach Möglichkeit im richtigen Moment baut und aufwertet.
Nein, hier geht es einfach nur darum, irgendwie plangenau den Laufweg und Gebäudebauweg des Entwicklers 1:1 umzusetzen.
Eine klitzekleine Abweichung davon bedeutet anscheinedn oft einen Gamestopper, oder aber die Zeit läuft so schnell herunter, weil man irgendwo auf eine Ressource warten muss, die aber nur tröpfchenweise produziert wird.
Um es abzukürzen: es verdirbt einem absolut jede Laune.
Ich suchte alle diese Spiele durch, aber dieses ist mit Abstand das Schlechteste davon.
Technik alles super, ohne Frage. Aber das reicht mir nicht für einen Daumen hoch, schade.
Wer frustresistent ist und sich gerne mühselig durch die Karten ackern möchte, der wird dennoch sicherlich seinen Spaß damit haben. Da spreche ich eine Empfehlung für einen Kauf im Sale oder Spielebundle aus.
Leider gibt es keine Übertragung der Ingamesachen als Steam Errungenschaften.
Fazit:
Grafik und Technik sind überdurchschnittlich gut. Das Spiel macht ansich auch Spaß, aber die vielen Gamestopper wegen nicht mehr vorhandener Rohstoffe verderben einem oft die gute Laune udn zwingen einen viel zu oft zu einem Reset. Bei 45 Karten und deren überdurchschnittlich langen Spielzeit gehen alleine einige Abende nur dafür drauf.
Auch sorgen kleine Details wie z.B. die zufälligen Ressourcen aus dem Marktplatz oft dafür, das einem die Zeit förmlich wie feiner Sand in der Hand verrint und man sich fragen muss, wie in etlichen Maps die 3 Sterne zu holen sein sollen.
Daher vergebe ich lediglich
Spielspaß: 5/10 (frustresistente Naturen geben sich 2 Punkte oben drauf)
Grafik/Technik: 8/10
Gesamt: 6,5/10 (7,5 siehe oben)
Pro und Kontra:
+ Grafik in HD ...
- ... aber kein Widescreen und daher Ränder links und rechts
+ Technik über dem Genredurchschnitt
+ nette Story im unverbrauchten Setting ...
- ... ist trotzdem nicht wirklich mitreißend und langanhaltend interessant
+ 45 ganz interessante Karten mit überdurchschnittlich langer Spielzeit ...
- ... die einen wegen der vielen Gamestopper und Zeitkiller mitunter doch recht schnell mal nerven und den Spielspaß deutlich trüben können
The Musketeers takes more attention than other resource- and time-management games to be able to get through the levels. This could be a positive if you've overplayed all those other games and want a challenge. Or it could be a negative if you want a relaxing game that never lets you paint yourself into a corner.
Personally, I'm not fond of the art style (especially since it makes it hard to tell where the paths are). But tastes vary, so judge for yourself.

Fun time management game with a cute plot. It's not super challenging but definitly not too easy either. You do have to be careful of how/when you use your resources because if not you will get halfway through a level and realize you have to start that level over because you mismanaged. Fun game!
I liked the simpilicty of the game and that it does't need many buttons to click. I also liked how simple the plot is as well. Although for anyone who wants to play this game it requires a lot of patience and time. the only thing thats sucks is that if you do one simple mistake you have to restart.

A really charming (and additive!) resource management game. The core loop is simple – You want to get from Point A to Point B and you have a mini-objective along the way. Clear the path to your end goal by gathering resources and clearing obstacles. Obstacles cost resources to clear. Spend resources to build buildings that give you more resources.
The game gradually introduces more mechanics as you go (crafting, inventory items you can equip for bonuses, boosts, etc)
The levels and objectives are varied, the story is simple but sweet, and the music and sound FX are enjoyable.
10/10 Recommended
Really good time management game where you have to pay attention to resorces closely, otherwise you'll run out of something you need and have to restart the lever. Nice to see these kinds of games on Steam. If you enjoy a thinking type game here and there grab this, Ive been enjoying it even with the "Oh crap, 20 minutes in and I messed up...lol "
Cool and inexpensive time management, which will help pass a couple of hours in the office or at home. The plot here, like in many games of Alawar, is reduced, but the game is easy to master. Nice picture and soundtrack included.
