The Liar Princess and the Blind Prince follows the tale of two lonely hearts brought together through a mutal misunderstanding. In it, you control the wolf, disguised as a princess, who guides the blind prince through a perilous forest in search of the witch capable of restoring his sight. The forest is home to a number of hostile creatures intent on ending your journey prematurely, as well as hazardous traps that put the prince in danger.

显然六个小时就能全成就的游戏内容支撑不了国区的价格，不过这就是后话了。

从童话的角度出发，本作的寓意其实还算深刻：伤害了他人要及时报偿，即使需要付出难以挽回的代价；必要的谎言能让人安心，但积重难返，持续不断的谎言也会成为压断信赖的稻草；对他人投以足够的真心，哪怕伤害了别人，也能够构成他原谅的理由；实现目标往往需要付出长久的努力，经受大量困境，等等。本作的故事算不上十分有记忆点，但其总体足够温馨，当作甜点品品也未尝不可，不过嘛，这道甜点的价格还是些许贵了些。

本作的玩法实在说不上好，诡异的物理学，微妙的攻击判定框，重复又枯燥的解密，无聊至极的战斗，流程到了后期时，我也是真的希望可以给我留一个一本道关卡轻松一下，不过最后一关更是将上述缺点发挥到了极致，明明是纯粹且动人的童话故事，结束时却给内心留下了烦躁感，还是有些可惜，但绘本般的视觉风格与清新的音乐也算得上亮点，看到结局时的些许感动也弥补了烦躁，“至少它没有给我塞一个更麻烦的挑战关卡”，我最后这样安慰自己。

总体而言是一部瑕不掩瑜的作品，值得一玩，游玩了一部又一部视觉冲击的大作，有时候看看画本也未尝不可。

Наверно это первый раз за всё время когда купил игру не раздумывая увидев название и один скриншот.

Милая история, с красивой стилизованной картинкой.
Музыка тоже вполне приятная.
По геймплею у нас неособо трудные головоломки с платформингом.
В целом потраченного времени не жаль.

Минусов вижу всего два.
Первый - игра очень уж короткая. Проходится меньше чем за 5 часов.
Второй. Я очень НЕ люблю, когда для получения ачивок уровни нужно пройти с каким то неадекватным ограничением на секундомере. Если бы не это, скорее всего перепрошел бы игру на все ачивки.

A cute puzzle platformer that's finally free from Sony/Nintendo jail after all these years.

Graphically it's adorable, the style is reminiscent of certain fairy tales, the writing also fits that theme. The animations are well done, I like all the little details of the two characters moving around the world.

Music's solid but not the most memorable. Sound effects are decent as well.

Puzzles are mostly good, though the number puzzles in mid game are a little ambiguous to figure out. I still don't know how I logic'ed out the one really difficult one for a flower. Some collectibles are pretty well hidden, you have to be really observant to find them all. Most of the game isn't very reactive with the puzzles, but there are a few segments of the final area you have to be good at timing, It might take a while to get through those segments, and checkpoints can be far back and time consuming to get back to.

There are some issues, some jumps feel a bit janky, especially when holding hands and jumping together with the Prince. Your jumps can be eaten at times, especially after landing on a mushroom (you sometimes do a tiny bounce which can prevent your jump from going off). This is an issue late game, when you have to time avoid some puzzle elements. I had several times where the Prince just fell off a platform or ledge, even when he looks like he'd be fine. Finally some segments lack checkpoints and can take some time to redo.

Overall I did enjoy the game, but it is very short, a bit over 3 hours for a first playthrough with about 60-65% collectibles. Even with the introductory sale, this is nowhere close to the $1/hour I generally go for. The story is somewhat sad or bittersweet. Finally if you're uncomfortable with seeing children get hurt you might want to avoid it since the whole premise is the prince getting injured. The entire game is a giant escort mission, so if escort games do not appeal to you, you might want to avoid it as well. If you do like cute fairy tales (especially the darker themed classics) the game will likely appeal to you.

First off, the gameplay is serviceable but nothing to write home about. It's your standard pressure plate and lever puzzle platformer with a couple random math problems thrown in for some reason lol. The handholding mechanic is very cute though. Where the experience really shines is the art and the storytelling, which really is quite evocative. I found myself invested in the characters and the ending made me quite emotional. I look forward to seeing more from NIS on Steam.

This has been my comfort game since it came out on the Switch, so I might be biased with my review..
If it means anything though, the game caught my heart so much I got the limited edition when it was avaible, and I still treasure it to this day!
The art work is beautiful, I love the music and the story is really, really cute. It's a really simple game, so it might not be interesting to some, but I found it really pleasant and worth checking out. :)
I was very happy to do it all again and get all the achievements on the way as well.

но вопреки всему, это того стоило; без скидки только ценителям советую купить, а если со скидкой-для ознакомления каждому... это тепло при прохождении сложно передать словами... воспринимайте покупку данной игры как покупку 2 биллетов в кинотеатр на 3 мультфильма - 6 часов очень приятного времяпрепровождения

P.S. как бы пошел сюжет, будь ггха хотя бы раз не выронила бы принца из своих рук... по сути единственная сюжетная дыра-неспособная поймать принца ггха

Да , игра не сказать что полностью стоит своих денег , да и геймплей редко но может поднадоесть , но как по мне именно сюжет и в особенности арт-дизайн играет игре на руку. Действительно дизайн локаций , мобов и персонажей вместе с немного трогательным сюжетом позволяет полностью закрыть глаза на парочку незначительных минусов игры. В общем советую ознакомится !

The story is cute and the visuals are beautiful, but I'm afraid that that is all the good I can say about it.

It is a good game for children (although some numerical puzzles are pretty tough) and maybe for people who really, really love fairytales. But otherwise, its really slow pacing combined with imprecise controls and how easy it is to lose and having to restart to a previous too-far-away checkpoint, make the experience quite annoying.

When I saw that the title had an option for skipping a stage I thought that I could recommend it regardless, since if one doesn't like the gameplay or certain sections, they can simply skip them and enjoy the story. But sadly, that features requires a certain amount of time to be spent on that stage before skipping it — and it's a lot of time, as if they really want to make sure that you are stuck beyond any possibility of progression before using it.

Also, I don't know if it is just me, but the final section of the game was really awful to play.

Prosta w rozgrywce, acz wzruszająca pod względem fabuły gra. Opowiadana niczym baśń. Zdecydowanie polecam. Choć nie ukrywam, że nie jestem fanem tego, że trzeba załadować save'a, by dostać się do opowiadań Księcia i rysunków koncepcyjnych, jak i tego, że w niektórych momentach gry, gdzie trzeba dostać się na platformę skacząc na grzybie, jest ona tak ustawiona, że trzeba idealnie, co do piksela, wskoczyć. Cute short story but not a fan of the ending. Would have liked some more gameplay/story after the prince gets his sight back and knows of the princess her true identity. Maybe some kind of realization that their adventure was different from what he experienced? Like how there weren't dying humans, but dying goats. I wonder what the prince was thinking when he was being flung around by monsters in those caves.

The ending is bittersweet. [spoiler]The prince gets his sight back but the princess loses her memories of him and her singing voice in return. A part of her does seem to remember him when she smells the flowers, but I find it unrealistic she would have allowed the prince near her this time, since in her eyes he's a stranger. I think things would have been more interesting if he had been the one to lose his memories. It would be a greater sacrifice to the princess and I feel like it would be more logical for him to regain his memories by smelling the flowers since he's the one who's so fond of them; if she kept her singing voice that would also be great to bring his memories back.[/spoiler]

The gameplay is really easy. Puzzles are simple aside from one that is completely optional. You can return to past chapters any time so you don't have to worry about missing out on achievements.

Worth buying when it's on sale. I wouldn't pay full price for it though, since it's only 4 hours of gameplay.

Ще з першого погляду було зрозуміло, що історія змусить пустити сльозу таких сентиментальних людей, як я. Хоч ідея для розповіді не нова, вона все одно здатна торкнутися вашого серця. Що принцу, що принцесі ти співпереживаєш, і доля кожного тебе неабияк хвилює. Кінцівка передбачувано солодко-гірка (як і сама історія), та все ж радше щаслива, ніж трагічна, і це радує.

Стиль гри ідеально підібраний для підкреслення казковості. Кожна локація особлива, зі своїм тоном та настроєм. Музичний супровід лише підкреслює їхню чарівність і не відволікає. Щодо складності, то для мене вона була десь між простою та середньою. Загалом кожен із рівнів не забирає багато часу, а головоломки нескладні. Попри це, були моменти, де я трошки застрягала, але то, певно, суто моя особливість.

Найбільше під час проходження мені сподобалися два моменти: тримати принца за ручку і дарувати йому квіти. Мені імпонує те, що недостатньо просто натиснути кнопку, аби зафіксувати цей контакт. Потрібно затискати її доти, доки не знадобиться відпустити його руку. Таким чином ти ніби краще відчуваєш і власну присутність, і присутність принца у грі. Квіти це радше емоційний момент та можливість проявити свою прихильність. Навіть якби не було окремого досягнення за це, я б все одно відшукала кожну квіточку і з гордістю вручила б її принцу.

Загалом враження лише позитивні. Гра дає тобі те, чого ти приблизно від неї очікуєш, і робить це належним чином. Однозначно раджу!

Well, this game is worth its price. The most important thing about it is its style and atmosphere. All those things that beautifully embellish any good storys. It's a short, delightful game that some might find painfully childish, and yet it's far better quality than many modern billion-dollar games. There's soul here. A big hello to the Japanese, who remember what is "art" far more than other nations.

I've been waiting for a PC port of The Liar Princess and the Blind Prince ever since the game was originally announced in 2018 so I did not hesitate at all when I saw that it finally got released on Steam.

It is a 2D puzzle platformer that might somewhat remind you of something like ICO (with the two main characters swapped around in their roles that is), in that the puzzles / platforming elements are rather light: the game instead mostly focuses on delivering a character-centric fairy-tale like story that is equal parts heart-warming and bittersweet, and it accomplishes this with an impeccable sense of presentation and style.

The only department where this game falters a bit really is in its gameplay: there's a bit of jank in the platforming and the camera has a bad tendency to jump around wildly when it tries to highlight something or zooms in / out (could be a framerate related issue with the port, not sure)... These issues don't really detract much from the game at all, but I felt like they were worth mentioning.
Everything else is a real treat though: beautiful picture book-esque art-style, adorable character designs, simple yet evocative narrative, solid voice acting and a lovely soundtrack including a fantastic ending song by Akiko Shikata.

Overall, I would easily recommend this to anyone looking for a short but memorable single-player game, especially on sale.

Something that I want to mention as well, as I haven't seen any other reviews talk about this: I would also recommend this to Japanese learners (particularly, N3 and below) as it could serve as great practice: while there is no furigana, text log or ability to replay the narrator's voice, the text always waits for your input before progressing (outside of one singular instance of floating "tutorial" text in the finale, not being able to read it fast enough is inconsequential though as you can easily infer the message), so you can comfortably look things up as needed.

I love fairy tale motifs and this game is absolutely phenomenal! The presentation is flawless. The story is delivered in picture book fashion with beautiful artwork, page-turning animations and a voice actress that nails the voice of someone reading a picture book to a captive audience with slight intonation changes for the different character dialogs and everything. I loved every minute of it. And I also love that the princess looks a lot like Princess Chain Chomp (the best Princessification).

Note that I did let the game sit idle a few times so it's not as long as my 9 hours would indicate. It's probably more like 6. There are level-specific achievements, as well, so I'll be replaying this to collect them. It will probably be a good 8-10 hours to 100% complete it.

Overall, if you love fairy tales, this is awesome and a must-buy.

I'm not a fan of platformers in general, so my enjoyment of the game was nerfed going in however in general, I did enjoy my time. It was a real style over substance game for me. I loved the storybook aesthetic when I first saw this game years ago, and everything in here is as pretty as I imagined. The story is simple but generally cute, and the music is really great. But even as not a platformer fan, I feel like the mechanics of the game are rough. The characters die from a pretty small jump distance and everything feels kind of floaty. And the "holding hands" mechanic is a little buggy. Combine this together, and you have a couple dozen deaths where I jump with the prince off a trampoline, he lets go of my hand, and then he plummets to his death. Not to mention the number of times the little clutz trips over these tiny little lips. Plus the cushions you have to jump on to avoid fall damage never cover the entire platform, so there are times where you thread the needle, and a simple jump off a ledge will leave you dead. I mostly enjoyed the couple hours I put into it, but I think I would have gotten tired of the controls if it was too much longer.

Fun game that follows the fairytale aesthetic closely in both artstyle and story telling. As for gameplay, pretty simple puzzle solving broken up in short levels that you can complete in under five minutes. The only problem I had with the game was the occasional clipping into some wall, still able to get out so not a softlock. Definitely recommend that you a second to adjust your controls at the beginning of the game, mainly the attack/hold button since you use it a lot and it is placed in a strange place by default.

노래 좋고 스토리 좋구 종이 동화책 느낌이 나서 더 좋았지만
은근 조작감이 좋지 못했고 왕자가 버섯으로 떨어져야 하는데 갑자기 옆에 맨 땅에 낙사를 해서

Conheci esse jogo por causa de um mod de dont starve, e ne época rapidamente me interessei pelo jogo, eu tinha fica muito chateado por não ter versão de pc, e o jogo ser relativamente antigo, até que um dia qualquer eu pesquisei o nome do jogo novamente, e me deparei com a versão de pc recem lançada e finalmente tive a oportunidade de jogar. é um jogo incrivel, com um estilo puzzle e uma historia que prende, com duas horas que mal notei passar, recomendo muito para quem gosta de uma historia cativante, ou apenas um jogo de puzzle com mecânicas legais.
Com certeza vou tentar platinar e zerar, nota 10/10

　アクションやパズル要素もそこまで難しくなく、ゲームが苦手な方でも遊べる作りになっています。

・コンセプトイラスト、ラフイラストがゲーム内で見れる
　キャラクターの作りもじっくり見れます。
　姫イラストとかで「そこ、狼の時の目がモチーフだったんだ」とか見ていて面白いです。

・時々詰みポイントがあり、その際は「リトライ」をするのですがステージの最初からになるのがちょっと悲しかったりです。

There is a beautiful story told in the game. The storytelling delighted my heart because there is sacrifice, understanding, determination, and forgiveness. Good inspirational lessons which I'm happy to see preserved and taught through storytelling.

The combination of puzzle platforming and storytelling makes this game a great interactive book experience. Some of the puzzles are not too difficult for children to solve, but there are some riddles and a bit of math that may entertain adults to revisit some of their experience. It's not too complex and is simple enough to teach/show children with guidance.

Простая но рабочая история если вы любите такие концепты как, и я то явно будет чувство чего-то знакомого но это не плохо как по мне лично я остался более чем доволен

Ещё одна сильная сторона игры, все головоломки хороши и заставляют немного напрячь мозг, нету механик которые остались не раскрыты полностью всё ощущается нужным и приятным в действии

Лично для мне понравились только пару трэков, проблема в том что музыка быстро приедается и к концу локации лично мне почти всегда хотелось выключить музыку

1. 이쯤왔으면 이제 2~3번 정도는 죽어라 라고 내 실력과 상관없는 의도적 몬스터 배치
2. 얼마나 귀하게 자랐으면 어디 내려갈때마다 얼굴 갈아 엎을정도로 엎어지는 개발암 왕자
3. 분명 같이 뛰고 같이 떨어졌는데 왕자는 방향감각 상실한 트럭마냥 이상한데로 가서 뒤짐
4. 나 없이는 아무것도 못하고 '꼭' 손을 잡고 있어야지만 명령을 내릴수 있고 후반에는 원격 가능하지만 행동이 개답답
5. 이러한 내용때문에 스토리는 몰입이 안되고 중간중간 개발암때문에 짜증만남
6. 마녀가 집 다때려부수고 숲 다때려부수는데 그냥 사과하러 가자고 하는 정신나간 소리를 하는 왕자
7. 그걸 사과한다고 받아주는 마녀라는 칭호를 쓰기도 이상한 마녀
8. 감동적인 스토리를 생각했다면 아니다 딱 중학생까지만 통할 스토리
9. 2만원도 아깝다 만원이면 살생각있다

日本一特色的遊戲

純情狼妹VS被傷害過所以任性的王子

先說缺點，劇情長度有點短，針對這點我就建議打折才入手了
但遊戲本身是足夠的，還為了一些探索狂和操作狂設計了難度偏高的挑戰(我沒有碰

最後，有些人可能會有疑問狼為什麼是那個造型
這個疑問你可以在解鎖成就後，順便解鎖狼妹的設定集，有詳細解釋是怎麼設定的
不過我只想說那些畫灌水成分很多，不是畫風和潦草問題，而是明明可以多幾張比較有吸引力的圖

Замечательная игра на вечер. Простой и понятный сюжет, который действительно похож на детскую сказку с неторопливым повествованием. Финал истории особенно запал в сердце и даже заставил поплакать. Загадки и головоломки в основном не сложные и довольно разнообразные. Выглядит игра очень красиво и имеет довольно интересный дизайн монстров. Музыка всегда играет в тему и создает нужную атмосферу, трек Moonlit Night Concert навсегда теперь в плейлисте.
Из минусов можно отметить только довольно топорное управление принцессой в форме волка, а так в целом игра очень понравилась и отбила каждый рубль, который заплатил.

最初看到这个游戏只是被它的画风吸引，我看过很多日恐rpg，希望它的剧情能有着深度类似，但是这份童话故事没有我想的那么复杂，就真的像一本童话一样直白，完全能做到自己预测后面的剧情。
也许每个人本应该是开敞心胸的，但功利的视眼光蒙蔽了彼此，怀上了猜疑与不安，因此我变得焦躁。謊言-(Lying)貫穿我的一生，使我用一个又一个謊言去弥补，但我并不是公主，没有princeps陪我走过救赎的道路。但是在网络上，一层蒙砂让我我终于拥有勇气和别人交流。
我也会将这份游戏也赠与我最好的网络朋友，希望他在焦虑的时候能够翻开这份童话故事，脱离现实的繁杂。

[b]Сюжет[/b] игры представляет собой сказку о королевстве, близ которого находился тёмный лес, в котором животные представляли собой необычных монстров. Главным героями выступают Принц и очаровавшая его своим пением Волчица, которая, несмотря на вражду между монстрами и людьми, прикипела Принцу. Случайно ослепив мальчика, Волчица решилась на опасную авантюру, заключив сделку с Ведьмой, и пожертвовала свою способность петь на возможность превращаться в принцессу. Освободив Слепого Принца, коего собственная родня кинула в подвал с глаз долой, Волчица приняла облик принцессы и повела нового друга в лес к Ведьме, надеясь убедить её вернуть мальцу зрение.
Однако и само приключение становится неспокойным. Страх вынуждает Волчицу лгать о своей истинной природе, но вместе с тем и познавать природу людей, так как Принц не ведает, что путь проходит в компании монстра через земли с другими монстрами.

[b]Визуал[/b] выполнен в виде ярких рисунков, будто из книги сказок, что для местного нарратива просто идеально, ведь и сама история является сказкой. А вот музыка уже спорная. С одной стороны, у каждого биома своя уникальная тема, с другой – на каждый биом приходится по 4 уровня, за которые выделенный трек легко может приесться.

[b]Геймплено[/b] же у нас относительно простенький платформер, разбавленный небольшими боевыми стычками и головоломками. Начать стоит с того, что преодолевать путь к Ведьме надо вместе с Принцем, который, ввиду своей слепоты, абсолютно беспомощен, потому Волчице в образе принцессы приходится буквально вести его за руку и следить за тем, чтобы он не разбился при падении или не стал жертвой монстров, которых придётся устранять, превратившись в зверя. Однако не стоит думать, Принц бесполезен. Со временем появляется возможность направлять его, чтобы он вставал в нужное место или переносил необходимые тяжести. Местами Принц даже становится носителем факела, так как Волчица, как многие другие монстры, боится огня.
На уровнях так же имеются и собираемые предметы в виде золотых лепестков и цветов. Первые вынудят поломать голову с осмотром окружения, так как порой они запрятаны в местах, кои фиг рассмотришь, а вот цветы уже потребуют куда большей внимательности, так как спрятаны либо за головоломками, либо в ну совсем неочевидных уголках уровня, да и после их подбора их нужно принести Принцу. К счастью, отследить прогресс по собранным листьям и цветам можно на экране выбора этапа.

[b]Итого[/b] у нас красивая сказка в стиле рисованной книжки, с простеньким, но интересным геймплеем, требующим не только внимательности, но и аккуратности ввиду слепого компаньона. Пусть история максимально банальная и простая, а геймплей не приносит в жанр ничего нового, но лично у меня после полного прохождения остались только положительные эмоции, и до чего было приятно лицезреть перемены в главном экране после финала. Простенько, но с душой.

专门买了来写评测
我很早在ns上买的因为它的轻小说式标题和无限的代入空间（以及真的想求教一下剧情设定），当时没有怎么在意价格因为我觉得ns上的游戏价格普遍偏高，但是我玩了之后发现这交互和玩法简直就是一坨，很多动画处理特别弱智和断裂，导致我玩着玩着甚至忘了剧情的钩子玩不下去了，至今没有通关，同样我以为ns价格就是这样我也没有多想；结果最近突然被steam推到这个游戏，定价148还这么贵，前5分钟还在玩丝歌和杀塔2的我瞬间爆裂；这个游戏就是个精致绘本，玩法还一坨，建议云，因为剧情确实很温馨治愈，但为什么不出绘本非要来做游戏？？？（gpt说本来这个游戏是和绘本+原声cd一起卖的，但单发数字游戏没有降多少，我不知道真实性）这个公司定价策略这么贵就是高端奢侈品，想在任何一个买家身上都赚回成本，普通游戏人千万不要买，买了只会觉得恶心；小小梦魇工作室也是这样的，但是小小梦魇至少有更多的成本来要钱（比如reanimal确实太贵了但是双人确实好玩，还有奇葩bug来一起大笑，景也还可以至少不是手绘贴片；别来扯手绘全场景成本高，咩咩丝歌空洞难道不是手绘么），这个游戏我感觉就是flash小游戏他凭什么卖这么贵、这么不好玩、时长这么短（更恶心的是时长不仅“短”而且浪费时间地“长”）、设定深度还这么幼浅弱…

感觉像在看儿童绘本一样，久仰大名的作品，之前就刷到过这游戏的视频。
全成就应该不难（？挺友好的，漏了可以专门选关卡重新做。（记得通关前多存个档）
游戏剧情很短，3.5h左右，我大概挂机了1h。

+画风，实在是太美了，3h的剧情游戏愣是让我截图了186张截图。牵手的时候王子会笑！！很喜欢她们的小表情，太萌了。

很难想象这游戏竟然是2018年的游戏，真的受够了公主每次被王子救的戏码了。

这四个真的都很顶级，但其他的就一言难尽了。

-收集品明明有很多种方式可以碰到（？但好像一定要按照它的方式才能触碰到。
-诡异的手感和跳跃判定，很多时候经常牵着手就断了，必须长按x才能一直牵手，就不能改一下设定吗？
跳跃经常很多时候要反身跳才能跳过去正着跳不行。

-解谜中规中矩，我的评价是不会设计可以别设计。
-国区是高价区，和其他地区价格差距过大并且只有繁体中文没有简体中文。
-重复度高，游戏的怪物场景、解谜内容都差不多，怪就三种？攻击方式非常单一。
