Soy alguien a quien le encantan los juegos tacticos por turnos. Dicho esto, no he sido capaz de empezar la segunda mision. al juego le falta un pulido tremendo en muchos aspectos. graficos sonidos mecanicas tacticas jugabilidad fluidez...
Desde el minuto 2 me ha parecido un juego a medio hacer en el apartado tecnico. la base esta ahi, la presima y la idea molan. pero se queda en poco mas que un juego mediocre, una sombra de lo que pudo ser. he intentado que me guste, pero no ha podido ser.
dicho esto, si lo compras x 2 euros, dale un try alomejor te gusta si eres fanatico de los juegos x turnos, es algo al estilo mutant year zero. pero para mi han pesado mas las carencias.

First time playing, 40 mins in the game and already the game broke. It got stuck in enemy phase with one of the enemy soldiers running off to oblivion outside of the screen. I cant abandon tutorial phase, can't escape out to the menus, cant do anything. Its stuck in Enemy phase with 1 unresponsive enemy. I had to Alt-F4 out, and I immediately began writing a review for the game.

The game is somewhat falsely advertised. They gave "real-time" sneaking phase, but you can only take out enemies with a skill that is limited by a quantity. Yup, I wrote that correctly -- a skill limited by a quantity, and guess what that quantity Mir hat es größtenteils gefallen: Gute Grafik, schönes Szenario. Unklar war für mich bis zum Schluß wie man auf der Karte die wichtigsten Missionen erkennen kann, die die Story voran greiben . Dadurch kam es immer wieder zum auffüllen der Balken der Häuser und ich mußte die immer gleiche Mission bestimmt 10x spielen. Das kann man deutlich besser machen . Trotzdem insgesamt: Positiv.

Great game. Recommended.

Gameplay feels a bit like xcom, but with some real time sneaking options where you can thin down the numbers with traps or sucker punching the enemy. If you're not great at the sneaking stuff you can do the minimum then just shoot it out, but it's harder.

One negative, the controls can feel a bit clunky especially when you're not used to them. Also it's a hard game, I'm playing on easy level and it's challenging enough most of the time. The game seems easy enough at the start, but it gets much harder. I've played a lot of similar games, and this one is harder than typical.

Starts with a bang, ends with a frustrating whimper. The stage is set for an steampunk-esque adventure with camp villains, larger-than-life heroes and a good dose of magic. The characters are likeable and the combat mechanics work well, even if the performance is a bit all over the place. The first few missions are great. Then it hits.
The balance is all wrong; they've nailed to second-to-second play, but the overall progression is no fun whatsoever. The Doomsday timers are rubbish, the game is too long and the balancing is terrible. You don't have fair odds going in - you either fail multiple times, or maybe research broken builds on the internet beforehand. You can recruit lots of characters, but you only have the skill points to focus on a handful. It's a slog, not a joy. The difficulty levels are way out of wack with their descriptions.
Such a shame, with a lighter hand on the design, this could have been great.

I'm having a lot of fun playing this game. Although there are some bugs stressing me out in the course of the game, overall gameplay is polished and there are attractive characters that really boost game experience. Combats are designed in ways that any tactics lovers would find interesting. However, the game balance is somewhat incomplete, with some characters way too powerful than others. Missions are also loosened and repetitive and feel as the game progresses. This may be understandable given the limits of the game such as this one. I think the developers could have done better with this game.

Had played this prior on console. I really do enjoy this game. However, likewise to my previous experience on console. This game is plagued with contant lagging, glitching and crashes. I understand the game is no longer supported, but I was hoping they had at the very least made it playable prior to abandoning it. I guess not.

I actually really like this game, but I am a sucker for a decent turn-based. The game is less XCOM chance based shooting and more "I can see them so I wont miss them". You can still stack buffs and debuffs to make this more difficult just as other turn-based, just keep this in mind because it can work for you as much as it doesnt.

Достаточно интересная пошаговая тактика. Хорошая сбалансированная боёвка. Неплохая история. Было интересно пройти компанию. Пару моментов смутили: 1) карты судьбы можно раскинуть только между оперативниками, ходившими в рейд, что прям сильно мешает собирать хорошие сеты для всех оперативников; 2) при наличии достаточного количества оперативников всё равно доступен только один рейд в неделю для 3 (4) бойцов, ещё парочку можно закинуть на второстепенные задачи, где они не прокачиваются, остальные чилят на базе, это прям сильно сомнительно, учитывая как быстро "тикают" часы наследников. К стати, не бойтесь момента, когда часы наследников завершат свой оборот: вам предоставят возможность откатить их на один сегмент назад, и так можно повторять бесконечно, чтобы, например, собрать все редкие материалы для прокачки оперативников и союзников.

Un bon jeu tactical, dont le gameplay ressemble à un XCOM en simplifié : pas de gestion de base, ce jeu se concentre uniquement sur les phases de combat. Il y a une petite gestion des priorités dans les missions.
Il y a pas mal d'ennemi, de personnage différent, et de build/synergie possible, c'est un très bon point.
Néanmoins le jeu a une mécanique d'apocalypse avec un temps assez court, c'est dommage. Les missions à la fin sont un peu trop longue, avec un nombre trop élevé d'ennemi.
Platiné en 40h.

I've played through once and I'm about to start my second playthrough. I really enjoyed the story, the atmosphere and the fun, yet challenging, fights. I especially enjoyed the way you needed to bring a strategic and synergistic approach to each mission's specific team. I left a few potential characters on the board, and I can't wait to go find them now and learn about how they fit into the puzzle.

An XCom 2 rip-off with the introduction of a crap new mechanic...
The overall gameplay is a really blatant copy of XCom 2. The base, world map & RPG elements are basically the same with a different skin.
The missions also use very, very similar mechanics - once they go into turn based mode. But play switches between turn based and real-time repeatedly every mission. A mechanic which I find confusing and frustrating. Maybe others will enjoy this, but I hate it.

I think this game is pretty fun, with a noir style that makes me think of Indiana Jones 2 and old James Bond movies. It's definitely unbalanced and pretty bad in many ways, but I cannot give it a negative review if I enjoyed it, so it gets a thumbs up.

The game plays in two modes: Realtime and turn based. The realtime mode is only for exploration and stealth attacks, where you "prepare" the battle field for the fight to come. Once enemies spot you it goes turn based automatically. You can also enable it manually, but cannot disable it as long as there are alerted enemies.

The enemies are often too strong and too many, and there are only a few ways to deal with them without having all your agents die miserably. Save scumming is almost necessary, but the game loads and saves so slowly that you can go and have dinner while you wait. And when you do things correctly, the missions and the game overall will drag on forever. Towards the end, I actually cheated with Wand/WeMod only to get things done faster.

The two ways I have found to deal with the combat are as follows... First, the "preparation".

1. Take down as many as possible (hide and sneak).
2. Lure one, two or at most a few enemies by walking inside their "vision zone". Make them chase after you, and run as far away from the intended combat area as possible - far enough so that a fight with them won't alert the others.
3. Deal with the enemies you've lured away.
4. Save the game - go make some coffee, because it will take literal minutes to do so.
5. Repeat from point 2. If you fail and accidentally alert everyone, then you'll have to wait until all enemies have done their moves (yawn) and reload. Go have some dinner while the game loads.

If the remaining enemies are too many, you'll need to funnel them through a small gap and play defensively - run away from enemies. Quite often enemies will attack each other, making it easier for you as long as you stay away from them.

So why do I enjoy it? I have no idea. I just like games where I can take my time, and figure things out for myself.

I've only played a short time so far, but this is really great; the WW2 flair is really slick in an Indiana Jones sort of way, with cool music and characters. Gameplay has a different control scheme which is a little awkward but plenty fine. Its real time until you decide to go into turn based combat (or if you get detected by the baddies.) For me, the music and scenario and the stelth-oriented 'puzzle solving' to avoid or kill your opponents is just fantastic. With other folks scores ebing mixed I imagine this isn't for everyone, but for a certain kind of joe, this is top tier. Very high production values.

Missions are procedurally generated and they spawn on the world map in a non-sensical way (choose from 10+ missions in week 18!?). On top of that huge quantity of bland content there is level scaling: at the beginning of the game you kill a simple soldier in 2 hits, at almost max level you kill the same soldier in 4 hits (it doesn't make any sense). And in order to complete a trifecta of misery, then we have infinite spawning enemies. Practically the game has no balance and it's a complete mess. Don't buy it even when it's cheap.

Solid entry into the crowded field. A few quality of life patches would make a huge difference, but unfortunately it doesn't look like that's going to happen. What you get is a fun, Indiana jones inspired tactical game that tends to get in its own way more than it should.

Still an easy recommend, but don't expect the perfect presentation of some of its peers.

- сохранение. Авто сохранение работает как хочет. Само сохранение, только через меню, по три минуты ожидания.
- сюжет. Напихали всего подряд - но ничего конкретного. Разговоры между героями, это отдельная боль.
- инклюзивность. Когда дали лысое нечто, что называет себя "оно" долго блевал.
- перевод. Видимо локализаторы сами играли в нее и прониклись атмосферой "и так сойдет".
- боевка. система карт/пред боя/перков интересна, но через несколько боев наскучивает, сам не понял почему.
Итог:
Обосрали каждый аспект пошаговой игры, да и игр в целом. Есть предположение, что этого и добивались.

At first I really like the artstyle and game premise. Then I got to play for a few minutes and found out it is not optimalized. There is a lot of stuttering, framedrops and I experienced few hard crashes that froze my PC. The game feels little unfinished and starts to get very unbalanced in later levels, that s where I decided I don t want to play anymore and deal with this bad optimalization.

Визуальная стилистика у игры максимально спорная и я бы даже сказал, что отталкивающая - персонажи как будто сбежали из первых дешевых 3D-мультфильмов. Я регулярно путал портреты и фигурки персонажей, а в итоге не запомнил ни одну личность.

Хотя должно было бы наоборот! Ведь теперь оперативники - не обезличенные солдаты, а персонажи с личной историей, которых надо спасать/вербовать в отдельных миссиях (умолчу, что все подобные миссии играются максимально одинаково).
Герои обросли набором уникальных умений (активных и пассивных), которые нужно прокачивать между вылазками добытыми там же ресурсами.

Прокачка и переодевание происходит на основном экране, где все герои просто сидят в одной комнате. А между вылазками 2-3 случайных персонажа там же обмениваются малозначительными репликами.
И это вся мета игры. Здесь не требуется строительство базы или изучение технологий. Процесс максимально упрощен.

Может быть самих персонажей интересно прокачивать? Нет, в игре напрочь сломанная экономика.
Если невозможность прокачать апгрейд оружия герою без специального ресурса еще можно объяснить, мол такая большая сила это привилегия избранных.
То невозможность апгрейда более половины (!) "ремесленных" талантов для меня не понятна. Для чего их было делать, если не давать игроку даже попробовать их в действии.

Классический XCOM-геймплей в вылазках попытались разнообразить через "способности для устранения". Пока противник не засек героев, можно попытаться вырезать часть врагов как в серии Commandos. Но, во-первых, эти абилки резко ограничены по количеству (2-3 штуки у героя), во-вторых, в какой-то момент враги начинают стоять очень плотно, а затем и вовсе игнорируют такие способности.

В игре довольно бестолковый левелдизайн. Он практически никак не помогает тактически. Очень редко, когда удается зацепить врага взрывом бочки или ящика. Вдвойне обидно от того, что технически возможность взаимодействия с окружением есть, но 99% боев сводятся просто к обмену выстрелами между губками для урона.

В какой-то момент начинаются очень душные бои, где 3 твои оперативника сражаются против 20+ врагов. В итоге я пришел к единственной тактике, где 2 героя раздают максимум АОЕ-урона, а Ингрид, благодаря абилке, дающей ей +1 действие за убитого врага, просто ходит и собирает жатву, добивая по 5-6 врагов за ход.

В целом игра постоянно душит таймпрессингом. В бою к врагам приходят подкрепления, либо нужно успевать уничтожать что-нибудь вовремя. Между боями происходит продвижение прогресса 3 фракций конкурентов. С каждой следующей вылазкой, они тоже двигаются к своей собственной победе. И противостоять всем одновременно невозможно - пока ты тормозишь прогресс одного, два других вырываются вперед.
В бой можно отправить 3-4 оперативника, но, несмотря на наличие толпы героев на базе, за одну неделю можно пойти только на одну вылазку.
У меня перед последней миссией 2 из 3 фракций были ровно в одной неделе от победы.

К слову, последний герой, нужный для закрытия ряда ачивок, мне просто не появился на карте. То есть, закроет ли игрок ачивки зависит не от его способностей, а банально от рандома.

Честно говоря, ожидал большего от Джордана Вайсмана - создателя вселенной BattleTech и автора потрясающего ShadowRun.

Игру я прошел полностью, но рекомендовать ее не стал бы, даже любителям пошаговой тактики. Проект весьма проходной.

The Lamplighters League is fine for what it is, but it’s hard to shake the feeling that the game plays things a little too safe. Even with the pulpy, Saturday morning cartoon vibe, it ends up feeling a bit bland and, honestly, kind of boring in places. The style and setting are great on paper, but they don’t fully carry the experience. The biggest problem for me is the stealth and infiltration sections leading into combat. They feel clunky, inconsistent, and awkward in real time, and that’s also where I ran into most of the performance issues stuttering, drops, and the occasional hiccup that just kills the pacing. Instead of building tension before a fight, these sections often feel like busywork.

Once the game swaps into turn-based combat, things improve. There’s a solid foundation here, and the characters themselves are actually one of the game’s strongest points. They have personality, they look great, and their abilities can create some fun moments when everything lines up. There are some interesting synergies to discover, and the whole 1930s pulp adventure aesthetic is genuinely enjoyable when the game decides to lean into it. But even with those strengths, the combat never fully clicks into something consistently compelling. After a while, missions start to blend together, the enemy variety is pretty limited, and the overall structure becomes predictable. There are glimpses of something deeper and more exciting, but the game rarely pushes far enough to deliver on that potential.

The technical issues also drag the experience down. Performance problems pop up too often, and combined with the occasional bug or crash, it gives the whole thing a slightly unfinished feel, it has style, charm, and moments where the tactical gameplay really works, but the rough stealth sections, repetition, and technical issues keep it from being something truly gripping. It’s the kind of game where you can see what they were going for, and sometimes it even hits that mark, but the overall experience falls short of being genuinely compelling.

Una perla tattica sorprendente!

The Lamplighters League mi ha colpito fin da subito. Pur richiamando i classici tattici alla XCOM, introduce un sistema ibrido che rende ogni missione fresca e diversa dal solito. Prima degli scontri a turni puoi infatti muoverti liberamente con i tuoi agenti, esplorare la zona e sfruttare le loro abilità speciali per eliminare nemici, tendere imboscate o preparare il terreno per la battaglia vera e propria. Questa fase di pianificazione “in tempo reale” aggiunge un livello di strategia che raramente si vede nel genere.

Un altro elemento che ho apprezzato moltissimo è il sistema delle carte, una sorta di tarocchi che si ottengono missione dopo missione. Ogni carta offre bonus, potenziamenti o effetti unici, e permette di creare build molto diverse fra loro. È possibile trasformare un personaggio nel modo che preferiamo: potenziando il loro ruolo naturale o sperimentando combinazioni più creative. Questo sistema amplia tantissimo la personalizzazione della squadra e aggiunge un senso di progressione davvero soddisfacente.

I personaggi, poi, sono uno dei punti forti del gioco. Hanno stili, abilità e personalità distinti, e vedere come le loro capacità si incastrano tra loro — soprattutto quando iniziano a sommarsi gli effetti delle carte — è una parte fondamentale del divertimento.

In sintesi, The Lamplighters League offre una miscela riuscita di stealth, strategia, libertà d’approccio e personalizzazione profonda. Se ami i tattici e cerchi qualcosa con un tocco di originalità, vale assolutamente la pena provarlo!

The turn-based battles encourage careful planning, since using your agents' unique abilities in the right sequence can push you far beyond the usual action point limits and let you wipe out entire groups of enemies. Combining different agents unlocks ability interactions that are both fun to execute and useful for balancing the odds, especially since you are almost always outnumbered. The broader globe-trotting ambitions do not fully land, and the strong writing often feels pushed aside, while the procedural generation does not always keep missions feeling fresh. Even so, guiding this unlikely team and helping them save the world remains a very rewarding experience.

Really bad performance and graphics settings don't save so you have to change them every time you launch the game. Instead of having good AI the difficulty comes from the game swarming you with enemies. Enemy pathing in the real-time segments seems totally random, and I've had multiple instances where my takedowns just *do not work*.

I like the character designs and story so will be using cheats to finish the game.

Typical Paradox game - overpriced, unfinished, and abandoned without necessary patches and fixes. I can not recommend this for anything less than 90% off.

This game is a mixed bag: sometimes fun, especially during combat, but also often very frustrating because of bad game design.

Let's start with the good stuff. The turn-based combat is very decent. Not as deep as XCOM or Larian's games, but there are 10 unique operators and their strength shows when they are working together. Shooting your enemies to get them out of cover, setting them on fire and finishing them off with melee attacks is a lot of fun. The combat area's are well designed, with plenty of cover and objects that explode when you hit them.

Sadly, there are many flaws as well:

- The game is clearly designed to play with controller. The mouse controls are really, really bad.
- Saving and loading is VERY slow. You also can't save during combat, even the damn menu key doesn't work during enemy turns.
- There's no way to speed up enemy turns. It takes so damn long until it's your turn again!
- It was a bad idea to mix the turn-based combat with real-time stealth. It's no fun at all for many reasons: the bad controls, the limited camera view, the slow save/load mechanism etc.
- The random side missions are unbalanced and sometimes even impossible. One time, I ended up fighting 50+ enemies with my 3 operators because the map was filled with units that can spawn other units.
- Enemy reïnforcements that can't be cancelled drag the combat on and on and on...

If it wasn't for the combat, i wouldn't have finished the game on high difficulty. What a disappointment for a Harebrained Schemes game... :(

说实在的刚打开游戏还有点以外这种制作规格的游戏为啥会被打这么多差评呢
接着玩下去可操作角色一个盗贼一个拳师因为是第一次玩所以选了轻松难度
新手教程的顺序很混乱先教远视之类的探索技能再教角色特长技能再教角色可特殊互动场景
作为一款带有充分暗杀要素的游戏没有蹲伏或隐藏技能此时我已经觉得有些诡异了
继续推进后让我进行背刺然后我有些忘记怎么切角色了试图在屏幕里找到新手指引但始终无果
最后一通乱按发现是tab键切角色g拆队盗贼没有背后脚步拳师没有任何可能暗杀
此时我还觉得那盗贼的重要性应该比别的角色高点没准是主角什么的跟着引导按下背刺
我发现屏幕底下的技能可用次数变成了2/3 你真牛大了哥们暗杀游戏限制可暗杀角色的暗杀次数
再往后推有两个站一起的警卫说起来有点好笑游戏允许你wasd随意跑动翻阅矮墙暗杀背刺
但是你甚至没法做任何自由的场景互动例如丢个空瓶子引走警卫注意力这根本行不通
也许之后会有类似的技能但这和我没什么关系了
随后根据提示我试图向两名警卫发动拳师的冲刺技能可按下后并没有发生任何事
随后我发现它的两层充能在我初进入游戏时乱按按掉了并且看样子并不会有所补充
当务之急是开战我作为一个盗贼之类的角色自然是努力追求先手
仔细检查以后发现除了拳师冲锋以外我确实没有任何可用的开战技能无法提前开战就意味着只能跑到对手脸上开打
开打以后我发现盗贼此时有个技能亮了【手枪射击】我真想把制作组的脑袋掰开看看里面是什么东西
战斗系统一眼就能看出来从头至尾照搬的xcom 并且数值平衡地相当糟糕
毕竟xcom可不会有轻松难度近战需要3轮贴脸战斗才能解决的新手村杂兵外星人
仔细阅读技能描述后发现每个角色会有一个每张大图只能发动一次的超级技能我点了点拳师的技能
描述是跳到一个范围内对所有角色造成高额伤害她猛得蹦起对一个圈内放了个扫堂腿打了32
另外提一嘴盗贼打枪一发40伤害拳师肘击一下32 新手村杂兵80血带枪
玩到这里我就封档来写评测了之后是大概率不会继续去玩了毕竟新手村都这样了我何苦折磨自己呢
总的来说美术不错音乐没什么印象配音普普通通工业化水平玩法平平无奇
可操控性非常差尤其是和游戏的移动自由度对比下更显突兀再加上糟糕的数值平衡想必战斗体验也会是一坨大便
不介意工业化游玩和糟糕数值平衡的玩家可以入手毕竟除了这两点以外好像也没什么太大幅度的暴雷
但作为一名普通玩家我不觉得这种东西会成为我推荐单里的游戏 4/10

Stealth game. It is about waiting till the puzzle fits so that one can setup all the right take downs. If you don't you'll be overwhelmed when it gets loud because the numbers will be too great. Then they limit the number of silent kills.

So a stealth kill game where they gimp your kills.

Многие сравнивают игру с xcom, но она во многом отличается. В Лиге упор идет на личные особенности персонажей и скрытное прохождение.
В целом игра приятная, но ощущения все-равно не те.

Отзыв после прохождения 28 часов:
Прикольно, но на половине игры ужа скучновато стало
Локации повторяются, враги одни и те же, прокачать всех персонажей или откатить прокаченных возможности нет, поэтому ты и играешь теми, кого вкачал с начала игры.

Итог:
Игра не плохая, играть интересно, задумка хорошая. Однако видно, что разработчикам либо не хвали времени, либо денег, чтобы сделать ее разнообразнее.
Сюжет стандартный (надо спасти мир от злого зла просто потому что)
На один раз пройти - пойдет, но не больше.

I will get the one true negative out of the way: the technical side of things needed more work it's never going to get. You will experience stuttering. I had one bug that required a save reload. It was only 20 minutes lost, but still. Now onto the rest.

This is the best XCOM-style game I have played since XCOM 2. It's challenging with a sufficient amount of progression, interesting choices in builds, and pretty high production values. It's especially good when it comes to enemy variety.

It did not deserve to fail.

Плюсы:
+Интересная эпоха 30х годов
+Увлекает первые 3-4 часа, пока разбираешься что и как
+Любопытно открыть всех агентов
+Достойно выглядит

Минусы:
-Однообразие локаций и миссий
-Игра вынуждает вступать в ненужные перестрелки, мало свободы действий
-Все персонажи – набор клише
-Вместо катсцен png картинка
-Весь лор, записки, болтовня – ни о чём
-По ходу прохождения нет новизны и вознаграждения, фана и веселья, только монотонное ковыряние мобов. Хороших квестов тоже нет.

this is a nice turn based game with a nice and curious story line... [i]in the beginning.[/i]

at some point I came across a level that I have to contest a point for X turns to hijack a shipment (3 is optional) and run away. every x-1 turns 6 random enemies spawn at random locations. monsters can slow an area and/or poison, snipers, melee enemies, new enemies that I never encountered before with healing abilities. this is an impossible mission that I don't think even Tom Cruise can handle. after finishing the job when I start to run away I am facing 14 enemies against a team of 3. and when the turns finish 6 more spawn in the middle of the escape route.
this is really frustrating and needlessly hard. it feels like this levels is there to boost the play time.
too bad I quit at this point. because I really like the game and curios about how the story ends.

Первые 8 часов всё было нормально. Интересные персонажи с классами и прокачкой. Совмещение атак в реальном времени из стелса и переход в пошаговые бои. Но потом впечатление начинает мазаться. Локации для заданий начинают повторяться. Но главная проблема — кривая сложности, которая устремляется просто резко куда-то вверх. Много противников, невосприимчивых к атакам из стелса; огнеметчик, который после каждого твоего действия совершает своё действие; моб, который будет спамить жуками каждый ход, стоит тебе только избавиться от старой партии. На одной из доп-миссий меня просто уничтожали раз за разом, а сложность при этом — всего полтора черепа.

Оно того не стоит.

This game is really good, 8.5 out of 10.
It feels like an Indiana Jones-styled tactics game, very thematic, very fun.

My only real complaints are that there's no zooming in or out, nor is there a quick intuitive way to pan around the maps, which took a level or two to get used to, but I kept playing because it was enjoyable.

Use your stealth takedowns wisely, initiate fights on your terms, and win one for the Lamplighters.

Well made game, I really enjoyed it!

It's like XCOM, but with pulp Call of Cthulhu story.
The world part also pushes you to balance putting off biggest fires with making progress to your base.
The turn-based combat style is well made and enjoyable to the very end.

Highly different heroes allows you to find various synergies to your liking, or making new ones with set of extra skills semi-randomly unlocked through the game that you can put to any hero, or adjust through the game.

The only drawback I noticed is poor optimization - both graphical and overall loading times.

Though I will definitely replay in the future with different set of heroes!

I honestly don’t get the bad reviews. I started playing The Lamplighters League kind of expecting it to be disappointing, just because of all the negative stuff I’d read. But after a couple missions, I realized most of that criticism didn’t match what I was seeing at all.

The game’s in a genre that’s pretty packed, sure—but it actually tries new things and makes it fun. I ended up really enjoying it. The mechanics, the vibe, the way it plays—it kept me hooked way more than I expected.

So yeah, lesson learned: don’t trust every negative review out there. Try it yourself first. I’m glad I did.

Pour le moment positif mais le jeu a 2 horribles défauts :

_ L'aléatoire de l'horloge : si un héritier ne déclenche pas de missions, genre Nicastro dans ma game depuis 6 tours, et que les autres bourres de leurs côté, alors l'horloge de l'apocalypse prend un checkpoint à chaque tour.
J'ai littéralement l'héritier le plus bas en avancée qui a pris 4 checkpoint en 6 tours parce que les missions d'histoire ne baissent pas leur avancée. Donc là je risque de perde une game de 36h, 40 tours, à cause des 6 derniers tours et du scénario.
EDIT: finalement ils ont bien géré, ont a une chance de sauver sa game avec une mission corsée, sinon je perdais littéralement avec tous les objectifs accomplis. Good job !!

_ Recruter des agents ne sert à rien : en plus d'être moins bons que les 3 perso de base, les recruter prend sur l'horloge de l'apocalypse et ils ne servent à rien puisque les missions se font à max 4, généralement 3. Un à 2 recrutement suffit.
Ensuite l'équilibrage c'est quelque chose, les nouveaux recrutés n'ont aucune survivabilité ou une incohérence de gameplay endgame, par exemple un perso axé sur le poison quand 75% des mobs y sont immunisés.

Sinon côté positif :
_ Stratégie : avec 2 PA et des perso vraiment pas surpuissant arriver à géré une 15aine d'ennemis ça demande réflexion et planification.
_ DA : affaire de goût mais l'ambiance France du 20e siècle, l'effet qui donne presque effet bande dessinée.
_ Le côté exécutions d'ennemis avant d'engager, même si plus on avance plus il y a d'ennemis insensibles aux exécutions. Et puis on est pas toujours obligé de combattre on peut aussi se faire discret.

Après l'avoir fini, très sympa, mais je reste sur mon impression que recruter c'est condamner sa game. Il y en a 10+1 (gratuit)+1 (premium), ça veut dire perdre 6 tours ? Impossible.
Très peu de bug : 3 chargements infinis, à cause de la taille des save j'imagine, et un ennemi apparu dans un bâtiment hors map.

This game was on my wish list for a long time, somehow the screenshots and cartoony graphics didnt speak to me. Finally i picked it up and I must say I wish I did so sooner. This game is a lot of fun reminds me much of xcom series. The world map is fun the characters are fun, gameplay is engaging. Not much I can say thats bad about this game. 4/10 disapointing offering from Harebrained, especially considering how good their Shadow Run games are. The potential is there, some cool themes and ideas, but it's all really slow and just 'beige' like it's colour scheme.
Characters are dull and should have probably leaned into their tropes harder.
There are just better games like this out there, even if you are desperate for a sneak attack into combat mechanic.

เกมมีกลิ่นอายของเกมแนว Turn Base Tactic คล้ายๆ XCom ผสมลอบเร้นคล้ายๆ Shadow Tactic ของค่าย Mimi พูดแบบเข้าใจง่ายๆคือ ตราบใดที่ศัตรูไม่พบเรา เราจะอยู่ในโหมดลอบเร้น ระหว่างนี้คุณจะ stealth kill ได้กี่ตัวก็ได้ตราบเท่าที่ชาร์จ stealth kill ยังเหลือ แต่พอศุตรูพบคุณแม้เพียงหางตา จะโดนบังคับเข้าโหมด Turn Base ทันที (เราว่านี่คือจุดเด่นหลักของเกมนี้ ไม่แน่ใจว่ามีเกมอื่นที่มีระบบการเล่นแบบนี้หรือเปล่า) ศัตรูก็หลากหลาย ต้องใช้วิธีรับมือที่เฉพาะทาง รวมถึงแม็พที่เยอะมาก นี่เราเล่นจบแคมเปญเดียวมาร่วม 100 ชม (เราเล่นชิว 5555 ถ้าจริงจังเน้นเนื้อเรื่อง จบเกมไม่น่าจะเกิน 15-20 ชม) เจอแม็พซ้ำไม่ถึง 10 ครั้ง เกมนี้เลยกลับมาซ้ำได้บ่อยๆ

ส่วนเนื้อเรื่องก็เป็นธีมคล้ายๆ Indiana Jones กล่าวคือเราได้รับบทบาทเป็นองค์กรสายลับนามว่า The LampLighters ในยุค 30s ที่คอยขัดขวาง 3 องค์กรร้าย ที่หวังจะยึดครองโลกด้วยภูมิปัญหาลึกลับของโลก (Marteau จะใช้เทคโนโลยีและสิ่งมีชีวิตในอีกภพ, Strum จะใช้อารยธรรมของฟาโรห์ และ Nicastro จะใช้ศาสตร์มืดใต้ห้วงมหาสมุทร ในการยึดครองโลก) เรียกได้ว่า แต่พล็อตก็ทำให้เราอยากดำดิ่งสู่เรื่องราวตลอดเกมได้แล้ว

Игра мне очень понравилась, пошаговая стратегия, сюжет интересный, боевка хорошая.
Играл на очень сложном, поэтому на общей локации все происходило довольно быстро, что стало в минус, поскольку постоянно (через раз) приходилось играть миссию отката захвата мира, ну и очень много пропускал разных событий. Так же в минус то, что нужно выбирать одну миссию из всех, даже не сделали прокачку чтобы отправлять остальные команды на доп миссии, чтобы параллельно уменьшать угрозу, да и прокачку бы сделали каждому свое. Но это наверно из-за сложности. Но в целом все очень понравилось. Не жалею о покупке.
Честно я вообще не любитель различных ограничений в играх по времени, по миссиям и т.д., я купил игру чтобы поиграть в нее, куда мне спешить, что за спешка постоянная.

Смело берем на распродаже - Свою задачу игра выполняет. Если играть не на самом легком уровне сложности, то голову поломать придется. Да есть моменты которые сильно раздражают (например невозможность нормально управлять картами усилений или если вам попадется пулеметчик из бесплатного дополнения, вы не сможете закрыть все достижения за одну игру, т.к. у вас не будет всех нужных наемников), но в целом не самый худший представитель жанра.

The Lamplighters League is a turn-based tactics game in the vein of XCOM, that also has the real time stealth system like the one we've seen in Mutant Year Zero, Corruption 2029, and Miasma Chronicles. Unfortunately, everything about this game is underbaked and/or annoying.

PROS:
- the Fortnite art style is nicely done. It really captures that whole Indiana Jones vibe while also having its own style. I especially like the character design
- voice acting and music are good
- game is decently long (30+ hours, I'd say)

CONS:
- despite having Fortnite graphics, performance is very uneven
- real time stealth is poorly designed. Your characters move too slowly, takedown abilities are limited to begin with, and later on the game is full of enemies that are immune to stealth takedowns anyway. It just sucks.
- there's no way to speed up combat or execute simultaneous enemy movements. You have to watch every single enemy take their turn at regular speed, which is a huge waste of time later on when battles can include 20+ enemies
- there are 3 doomsday clocks that you have to worry about when picking missions. As a result, you'll almost always have to prioritize missions that reduce the progress of these clocks, rather than just play the missions you're actually interested in
- missions and locations start getting repetitive pretty fast
- day 1 DLC
- worst of all, the combat just isn't very good. Since the game is going for the whole Fortnite vibe, it can't have any loud, bloody, over-the-top action. Instead of making up for that by adding lots of flashy abilities that are fun to use, your characters mostly rely on standard, boring-looking attacks. While the underlying mechanics aren't terrible, they're just not nearly as good or cool as in other games of the same genre. The further I progressed in the game, the more combat started to feel like a chore, until eventually I decided I'd had enough and uninstalled the game

TLDR: Lamplighters League is a weak, unoptimized game that misses quite a few marks. I got it in Humble Choice for a couple euros so I don't feel robbed, but I definitely wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

Это далеко не идеальная игра. У неё есть проблемы с интерфейсом, встречаются неприятные баги, да ещё и попытки сохраниться занимают неприлично много времени. Но это всё ещё игра от HBS: сюжет, персонажи, мир, стилистика вызывают восхищение. И это всё ещё весьма крепкая пошаговая тактика, пусть и не такая вылизанная, как условный XCOM. Ей бы полноценную вторую часть, но после расставания Зайцемозгов с Paradox я на такое даже не надеюсь.

Сюжет присутствует, приятная графика, тактики разнообразны. Способности агентов уникальны + дополнительные модификаторы (карты) - получается очень много вариантов.

Но... складывается впечатление, что игра не доделана, какие-то спорные игровые решения и "детские болячки".

Управление клавомышь или геймпад(на стимдеке вполне играбельно). На миссиях мышой выбрать персонажа можно только щелкнув по нему. Часто приходится делить отряд, часть остается вне экрана. Переключиться можно только tab'ом. С учетом 3-4х агентов на миссии можно было бы и кликабельные портреты в углу сделать, а не только текущий персонаж. Играть с клавой пошаговую стратегию - так себе.

Относительно долгие загрузки/сохранения, хотя уровни небольшие, а уж в убежище, что столько загружается - непонятно. Возможно, из-за того, что игра использует только 6Гб памяти, вот и гоняет данные.

При вызове сохранения враги начинают двигаться, а управление только секунды через три отдают, т.е. сейвтесь когда рядом врагов нет (хотя бы количество сейвов не ограничено).

Pathfinding страдает. Есть текущий персонаж и за ним гуськом двигаются остальные. При спуске/подъеме по лестнице ведомые могут ломануться в обход, т.к лестница занята, и влететь в кучу врагов, приходится по одиночке двигать. При управлении мышью в режиме исследования (в реалтайме) часто пытается перепрыгнуть препятствие, хотя хотел посадить перед ним. Или кликнул, а ведущий начал через пенек влево-вправо скакать, видимо каждый раз перестраивал маршрут. Ну или просто шли всей толпой, а потом замечаешь, что кого-то не хватает, а он очередную преграду не захотел перепрыгивать. Враги не могут зайти на узенький мостик, т.к. один из дальних решил, что будет первым, остальные бегают туда-сюда.

Нравятся глобальные таймеры? - их тут три. Это больше усложнители игры, с очередным этапом угрозы у монстров появляются более неприятные способности. Когда все же наберете максимальную угрозу, то все миссии прячут и остается только одна, которая снизит опасность(если набрать два максимума, то последовательно будет две таких миссии - сразу три не набирал). После этого возвращают обычные задания и таймеры вновь начинают тикать, т.е. теоретически можно играть пока всех не прокачаешь или пока не надоест. Дожил до 55 недели в ожидании последнего агента Федора, но он так и не появился(отдельная боль). Пришлось в свободной игре на него посмотреть, парочку ачивок получить.

Камеру иногда можно повернуть так, что только тень персонажа видно, а местность нет, хотя обычно верхний слой "снимают".

В бочке один раз застрял(после вызова сейва, специально повторить не смог), пару раз враги удивляли своей прытью - прибежали из-за пределов прямой видимости и покусали всех агентов, хз что там за скорость(количество шагов) была и сколько ходов они на это потратили, но другие их собратья в таком замечены не были. Наверное, что-то еще было, но критических багов не ловил.

Вру, есть один большой баг! Цена. Нравятся пошаговые стратегии - берем на распродаже.

Lamplighters League will appeal to fans of turn-based tactics like me. It introduces some clever mechanics, such as a real-time stealth mode that lets you quietly eliminate enemies before switching into turn-based combat. Once you get used to it, the system works surprisingly well and helps make battles faster and more dynamic. Gathering your team while sneaking around also feels realistic... you can only call them when they’re nearby, which makes sense for tactical positioning.

The downsides: everything feels slow. Save and load times are abysmally long, which is disappointing given this isn’t a high-end cinematic title. Enemy turns can’t be sped up, and when there are ten or more enemies off-screen, you’ll be stuck waiting while the game processes their moves. Patience is essential.

Aside from these rough edges, the game is put together surprisingly well. There’s not an overload of dialogue, which is nice if you prefer action over story. Lore items and inspection points seem to be optional, so you can ignore them without affecting level completion.

The campaign does overstay its welcome. Once maps start repeating, the experience feels dragged out. Trimming about 25% off the total playtime would have made the pacing much tighter. By the end, I found myself ready for it to wrap up.

Edit: There's a known bug where magic walls at the end won't fall despite defeating the scion. Can't finish the game without reloading a save prior to huge last battle. I decided not to play again.

The Lamplighters League is actually a very underrated game. It has great turn-based gameplay that is actually fun, unusual setting with interesting lore and great soundtrack. The characters are different and unique both in terms of gameplay and personality, having a lot of interesting conversations and interactions with each other - and even the DLC characters are integrated into the campaign quite seamlessly. Stealth mechanics may seem somewhat wonky and have their pecularities, but it is by no means crucial. Overall as someone who enjoys a good turn-based tactics game and a good plot, I can definitely recommend Lamplighers Leage.

Запуская игру, я не ждал от нее откровений, но был приятно удивлен. Настолько мне она сразу понравилась, что я залип сразу на 4 часа. Привлекает она в первую очередь своей атмосферой 1930-х годов и, неожиданно, игровым процессом в стиле X-COM. Да, попроще, но все же. При этом, уже спустя 10 часов игры, я начал скучать. Вот такие двойственные эмоции она вызывает, но обо всем по порядку.

[h1]Снова спасаем мир[/h1]

Действие игры разворачивается в альтернативных 1930-х годах, где зловещий культ планирует призвать древнее зло, чтобы поработить весь мир. Единственный оплот – это, естественно, наша команда бравых (и не совсем) бойцов, которая состоит в обществе со странным названием: «Лига Фонарщиков».

Герои, которыми нам предстоит управлять – изгои в цивилизованном обществе. В основном бандиты, рецидивисты, наемники и прочие представители схожих профессий. Примечательно, что все персонажи неплохо прописаны, имеют свои характеры и предысторию. Так что управлять предстоит не условными болванчиками, а полноценными личностями. У каждого из доступных бойцов свои умения, что позволяет собирать разные команды и разрабатывать наиболее подходящие тактики для прохождения каждой миссии.

Постепенно по мере продвижения по сюжету, раскрываются новые тайны о таинственном культе, его лидерах и древних артефактах. Сражаться, к слову, предстоит не только против людей, но и злобных существ, которые начинают появляться в нашем мире, благодаря деятельности культа. Чтобы остановить злодеев нам предстоит устраивать регулярные диверсии, искать новых союзников и части артефактов. Планирование миссий происходит на глобальной карте, где отображается деятельность всех фракций.

[h1]Когда что-то пошло не так[/h1]

Каждая миссия начинается в режиме реального времени. Можно подкрадываться, оглушать часовых и занимать выгодные позиции, прежде чем начнется перестрелка. Этот фазовый подход добавляет глубины и позволяет решать задачи изящно, а не только грубой силой. Помимо активных умений можно пользоваться расходниками (гранаты, аптечки и т.д.) и особенностями окружения (разливать воду, чтобы потом ее наэлектризовать, поджигать бензин и дальше по списку). Плюс к этому каждый персонаж получает опыт и между миссиями мы вкладываем очки в новые умения и тратим заработанные ресурсы на экипировку.

В дополнении ко всему у нас есть еще карты Таро, дающие определенные бонусы или наоборот, снижающие характеристики персонажей. Эта система смотрится интересно и свежо, но ей не хватает глубины. Также как и не хватает игре разнообразия и оптимизации. Когда уже через пару часов, тебя заставляют снова возвращаться в уже пройденную локацию, но с другим набором врагов – смотрится это странно. Причем на ней даже предметы находятся в тех же местах. Можно было найти гранату воооон в тех кустах в прошлый раз? В этот раз она тоже будет там. Ну и баги. Их тут невероятное количество. Постоянные статеры, застревание персонажей в текстурах, периодически невероятно долгие загрузки… Все это, естественно, портит впечатление от игры.

Однажды я застрял на необитаемом острове.
После долгих дней голода и одиночества услышал шум приближающегося самолета.
Я тут же сложил из хвороста слово «СПАСИТЕ» и поджег его.
- И что? Тебя спасли летчики?
- Нет. Буква «П» не загорелась.

Вот и у разработчиков, также как у того парня, что-то пошло не так и какие-то символы кода похоже не загорелись. Я откровенно устал от однообразия и отложил игру до лучших времен, хотя даже не всех персонажей успел открыть. К слову, проект с треском провалился на старте, поэтому и обновлений с правкой багов просто не было. На мой взгляд, игру незаслуженно обошли вниманием. Она действительно неплохая и должна была найти свою аудиторию, но тут уже финальным гвоздем в крышку гроба была безумная цена. Подытоживая, скажу, что не могу поставить палец вниз, потому что не все тут так плохо и шанс со скидкой в -80% и выше, игре можно дать, если вы поклонник серии X-COM и в целом пошаговой тактики. В последнее время, нас не слишком часто балуют хорошими играми в этом жанре, так что выбирать особо не приходится.

遊戲共有12位傭兵角色（含DLC 2位），每名傭兵在技能、人設背景上都有自己的特色，不過比較可惜的是角色刻畫不完全，僅能在完成任務時，大廳頁面人物彼此的對談來瞭解角色背景故事，遊戲角色們被分為「拳師」、「破壞者」與「暗殺者」三種職位，這對應了遊戲潛行模式時他們能做的事情，在回合制戰鬥時每個角色都是獨立的職業，有獨立的技能樹與專有技能，除了角色本身升級外，還有裝備製作、科技樹與塔羅牌系統等讓角色能力提升，塔羅牌是隨機獲得種類與品質的設計，為角色養成增加了不確定性，不過遊戲設計其實只要玩家在一輪遊戲內招募6~7位傭兵即可完成任務，因此技能點數基本不夠讓所有角色升級，其次像升級武器跟高級科技樹需要「絲綢」與「國往以太」基本也不會夠全升滿。

遊戲戰場在未被敵人發現時，可以切換即時與回合模式，在即時模式下玩家能快速瀏覽地圖、探索，和環境物品互動，製造開戰的優勢區域、位置，還能透過角色技能來削弱敵人的數量，當被敵人發現或玩家主動出擊，就會進入回合制模式，回合制模式下基本就很像是XCOM，玩家隊伍依據任務會由3～4人組成，往往會需要面對兩倍甚至三至四倍的對手，雖然潛行模式能削減一部分敵人，但很多戰鬥場景敵人會有援軍登場，不過玩家的傭兵角色大多神通廣大，且不少具有連續行動的能力，像是一開始的女拳師，技能升級足夠後，每殺死一位敵人就可以加一點行動力，爆擊可以一點行動力，如果裝備會回血配合回血就加行動力的道具，一個回合動十幾步不是問題！

在大地圖部分，地圖上方會有標示三個家族進度的「末日時鐘」系統，三個家族的刻畫距離不同，只要達到一個刻畫就會出現該家族新型敵人或是敵人單位獲得更強的能力，地圖上會散落數個隨機任務，每次只能執行一件任務，這也意味著三個家族中會有兩個家族的末日時鐘會提升，這點還讓蠻多人詬病的，覺得被時間追著趕，但其實末日時鐘沒有那麼可怕，這只是遊戲的難度提升機制，那怕時鐘進度滿了，玩家仍有「背水一戰」的機會來讓進度回到上一個刻度，並不會真的迎來末日或遊戲結束，這就很像是XCOM的天選者系統，給予玩家更多的挑戰跟緊張感，僅此而已。

遊戲在潛行跟回合的部分都有不錯的策略樂趣，但是關卡設計以及敵人種類並不充足，關卡依照世界地圖有幾個場景種類在變化，但是同一個場景的構造大概只有2~3種，所以多場戰鬥下來地形感受會太同小異，而敵人種類三個家族會有大量共用的基本兵種，其次才是家族獨有的特殊怪物兵，可是種類也不超過五種，使得在面對敵人變化上也不會有劇烈的差異，沒有XCOM那種敵人越來越強的感受，相對是比較可惜的；個人一共花了40多個小時完成戰役，大部分的時間都算玩的愉快，唯獨遊戲優化在存檔跟載入環節並定超卡的時候很惱人，同時故事結局的敘事太陽春讓人有點不滿，所以本來想給8分的下修至7.5，這不是一款能超越XCOM的回合制戰術遊戲，但是值得體驗，還不錯的一款作品。

作战过程中可以选择不同的战士，可以组全女队。但执行任务过程中的叙事表明玩家真实的身份其实是雇佣这些战士的老登。

虽然设定上英古力特是T0级别的战士，尤其是击倒一个敌人+1行动点的绝佳好用技能让她无可替代。但她依然穿着胸口开洞的衣服，承受男角色对她调情aka性骚扰。
另一个枪手也是和男性亲属强绑定，依稀记得提过她的舅舅。
还有一个刺客角色直接不装了，抹胸+大浓粧。
倒也是有壮姐，但更像是赛博赎罪券，假装多元“我们非常包容”。

Every developer must choose a lane at some point; going through Kickstarter for each project and being dependent on the fickle whims of license holders to see them through invites a multitude of ways to fail. Harebrained Schemes had made this path work, but it was time for it to make a name for itself not in bringing to life the worlds of other minds in spectacular fashion. Instead, with the security of Paradox Interactive as their acquiring publisher, they could build an original world not bound by restrictions. As anyone with any experience in the business of video game knows however, large publishers are not typically considered hands-off and respectful of the wishes of the people in charge of making games to earn them money at the least possible time and cost. The result of this jump from frying pan to fire would become The Lamplighters League.

For those not as familiar with tactics games like this, the gameplay setup is essentially XCOM 2 mixed with Desperados. For those more familiar, it plays essentially like Mutant Year Zero or Miasma Chronicles. Your overall goal is balancing running missions to beef up your team of plucky anti-heroes and advancing the main plot with a ticking clock mechanic that, as time passes, will steadily raise the strength and numbers of enemies before eventually leading to the end of the game if it reaches its end. The missions you go on are designed around skirting massive groups of enemies, stealthily avoiding them if possible and thinning out their numbers as much as you can until the inevitable confrontation at which point you have to take them on in a turn-based combat affair.

The titular League and the forces it opposes are the focus of the story, with the setup of the infiltration missions to secure artifacts and sabotage the resources of the enemy factions serving more as excuse to explore the backstory of the characters. There’s three enemy groups, with each embodying a particular setup from 1940s-1960s pulp serials: Nazis with an obsession in ancient supernatural artifacts, Lovecraft-inspired eldritch monsters, and a devious titan of industry along with his private army powered by seance-summoned malevolent spirits. While each becomes equally tedious to encounter in gameplay, the factions in the game are interesting and the setup for them leads to unique missions to start off the experience.

The failing of the game is not that it’s all style no substance, but it in fact is overwhelming substantive. The opening tutorial starts with a great setup and enemy encounters that set up the tactical combat and quick but satisfying stealth in a respectable 15 minute section… which then proceeds to go on for another hour and a half with very little new or interesting taught in that remaining time. Combat doesn’t just let you attack the enemies until their health reaches zero like any other tactics game, no, it lets you also overwhelm the enemies by maxing out their stress meter… just ignore that as the game goes on filling that meter takes 2-3 more turns minimum than outright killing the enemy. You’re not snuffing out the flames of one apocalypse, but three separate ones each with their distinct environments, enemies, and mission mechanics… and three simultaneous sources that each mission can lower the time until the game’s fail-state triggers. There’s so much thrown at the player that to actually play the game with a chance of seeing the end you must either crank the difficulty down to insultingly low levels or game its systems in every way possible.

If only Harebrained Schemes and Paradox had let me enjoy the world and characters they had written. The initial experience of this game and my extremely fond experiences with the Shadowrun Returns series promised me a game filled with missions designed to facilitate the experience of a pulpy but satisfying tactics game, but what I received was a janky stealth game where experiencing turn-based tactics combat is a punishment rather than a reward. If you try to play The Lamplighters League with planning, consideration, and the expectation of time along with investment like a tactics game, you will be punished for it. It’s a game that expects you to treat it with the same level of investment and desire to extend your experience with it as your girlfriend’s nephew’s piano recital with the same level of consequences for your chances of enjoying the rest of the night if caught not on your best behavior.
