Nice little story. The gameplay was pretty hard, so I turned on all the cheats so I could just enjoy the story. However, the gameplay is pretty good if you want to practice at it. I just couldn't wait to read the next part to "git gud". I enjoyed the game.

I wish I loved this game, because on the surface, it has absolutely everything needed to be an amazing one.

But the slowness of the main character in a bullet hell game which takes place in cramped corridors where death sends you potentially way further back than what is fair, makes this an exercise in tedium. The shooting is also, so insufferably slow at the start.

It is so disappointing to be leaving this review, because I honestly think the devs nearly got everything right to make a great game, but the design choices which went wrong drops this into a somewhat terrible experience which it should never have been.

Cute little metroidvania. Relatively simple and easy, but that makes it a comfy couch game.

At first I found the world and story to be fairly interesting, but to keep things spoiler free let's just say that I didn't enjoy the final segment of the story. It felt forced, also both endings are very anticlimactic IMO.

Other than that, I quite enjoyed the game, it's very cheap too during sales. Can't really go wrong here.

Oh, and for you weirdos in the discussions that ask if this game is woke, no it isn't, why would you even think that? Because the game has a cute art style? What's wrong with that? Because the knight witches are women? Dawg they are witches. Instead the game's message is more about ecology, you know kinda like FF7, but cuter.

Es un buen juego 7/10 combina metrodivania con bullet hell con cartas, lastima que se queda un poco corto en algunos aspectos
No es demasiado largo, tal vez unas 7-8 horas, si eres bueno en los bullet, unas 10-12 horas si quieres sacar el 100%

Puntos buenos:
-Tiene un buen arte y musica
-El movimiento y el disparo es genial (al menos con control) y el dash te agrega bastante movilidad en combate
-Siempre tienes un indicador a donde deber ir para avanzar la historia en caso de que te pierdas
-Si bien el precio base del juego es un poco alto en mi opinión, siempre sale con descuentos
-Esto es algo que agradezco, porque muchos metroidvanias cometen el error de poner los puntos de guardado en malos lugares, pero en este juego los puntos de guardado están muy bien ubicados, en lugares clave o cerca de algún enfrentamiento importantes
-El juego tiene la opcion de activar trucos para mejorar la accesibilidad
-Sumado a lo anterior, puedes obtener un radar que te ayuda a obtener objetos y mejoras mas facilmente

Puntos malos:
-Es un juego bastante lineal, no puedes desviarte y explorar zonas exceptuando unas cuantas habitaciones
-Me hubiese gustado que las cartas tuviesen mas combos o sinergias, hay un par que te permiten hacer combinaciones interesantes, pero se queda en eso
-Sumado a lo anterior, no hay demasiadas cartas y por el coste relativamente alto que tienen en promedio 2-3 no puedes usarlas demasiado, tal vez se debieron incluir unas cuantas mas con coste 1 y 0
-El dinero no esta bien balanceado, pues solo se usa para desbloquear cartas, comprar ítems temporales en la tienda y mejorar los puntos de guardado, por lo que terminas acumulando un montón de dinero que no tienes donde gastar
-El jefe final es ridiculamente dificil, yo no soy bueno en los bullet hell, pero aun asi es excesiva la escalada de dificltad, lo que es raro, porque el juego tiene una buena escala de dificultad en casi su totalidad
-Existen 2 finales, esto no es malo, el problema es que cuando terminas el juego eligiendo un final y quieres ver el otro, no apareces frente al jefe final, debes vencer 3 jefes de nuevo

Couldn't keep going with this one, there are multiple problems here from the start, first off the beginning is SLOW with the amount of dialog to go through, with writing that's straight up ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, secondly the mechanics, while they aren't the absolute worst and have something to go off here, are severely clunky, you move far too slow for what the game is demanding of you, your hitbox is too large, enemies react too fast to you with too tight of bullet spread, what would have at the very least made this better was a dash, which you don't get until far past where you would need it! After the first hour I wanted to stop, by the second hour I was done. This ones not good at all, the only thing making this only slightly better is I got it on sale.

A linear, lukewarm metroidvania, questionable design in some areas, too short, and the devs thought sprinkling wokeness was more important than having proper depth. The plot and world building are fairly interesting however, the art style and visual design are pretty good, and big props for not making the main character some sort of teenager, at least technically.

一款相当友好的“弹幕射击+类银河城”小品级游戏。画面精致、特效与打击感爽快，引导清晰不易迷路——主打一个轻松解压。最大优点在于“友好”：游戏内自带作弊选项，开个无敌就能无脑推进，尤其适合在掌机上“放空大脑”游玩。剧情流程直给，只管赶路清怪，几小时就能爽完主线。考虑到史低价仅5元，性价比极高。问题在于深度有限：技能卡组设计中规中矩；地图是多个独立小区域，缺乏银河城式的大世界互联；后期偶有拖时间的填充设计。所以适合“打完就卸”的短平快体验，与其被难度消耗寿命，不如用几小时换来纯粹的快乐。

A very nice indie find that I haven't seen a lot of people talk about! It is an experimental, part-bullethell, part-metroidvania, part-deckbuilder, part-rpg. All of these different aspects surprisingly work in tandem well! I think a mistake people make when judging this game is going into it expecting it to strictly adhere to the genre conventions of any of the above, whereas I respect it for blazing its own trail.

The moment to moment gameplay of weaving through enemy bullets while shooting back and utilizing the spell cards you've built into your arsenal is very, very fun. The spells come up randomly, though I've found that if you build yourself right (which does not take long and is easy to customize), you will be able to have good cards come up for any situation. I especially liked the Wild Card that, when played, generated 3 random cards for you to use from your ENTIRE INVENTORY, not just your current deck, which really added a fun grab bag element to fights; I kept it equipped the whole time. The biggest flaw with the combat, is that sometimes it can get REALLY hard in ways that seem more like luck is getting you killed than your own skill, mostly because of the wrinkle that you cannot regenerate health in battle. There are a couple of encounters (including the "true" final boss) that were some ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, and thankfully, I was able to utilize the in-game "cheat" menu to give me some help on those to get through, though again, I only did that maybe 4 times total. 100% completion also requires beating every ambush arena without getting hit, which... no thank you!

The exploration is fun, and the areas look good. However, while this IS a semi-interconnected map, an outstanding Metroidvania this is not, simply because backtracking to old areas with new abilities takes forever due to Rayne's slow movement speed and complete lack of fast travel. The rewards WERE worth it to go back and explore, but these segments felt more like grinding in an rpg than anything.

Graphically, the game is pretty nice, going for a hand drawn artstyle... though all character art gets animated in a loose, kind of "moving/rotating pieces of the art in photoshop" manner that sometimes just didnt work at all. I liked the character and enemy designs mostly though. The best part of the presentation goes to the score! While there's only like 20 total songs in this, the bulk of them were so memorable and catchy that they were playing in my head after sessions.

Lastly, to touch on the story. It has mostly ups over downs, with some good character work being done that shines the most. The main character Rayne is very endearing, and there is a host of well-done characters alongside her. Some story beats don't hit very hard due to a lack of setup, but there are certainly standout moments, especially a twist villain reveal that really caught me off guard. I especially liked how the game handled its message about the dangers of propaganda and how it can be weaponized.

While it has its flaws and doesn't quite reach the absolute indie greats in my opinion, this game is worth your time. I was very happy to have been recommended it!

The Knight Witch is a Bullet Hell Metroidvania about the knight witch "Rayne" her dream was to become a knight witch and set out on a mission to find out the true about the 14 years old war, she then finds out secrets that weren't supposed to be dug out.

The game offers different zones, each with their own puzzles and secrets for you to find out and solve. The game uses a system called Link where you complete missions and save prisoners scattered around the world and get their votes/link to level up to your character and get stronger.

The gameplay and controls were super flawless, I didn't face any bugs during my playthrough, screens filled with enemies spraying bullets at you from each side and your job is take em out while dodging those attacks. There are also card deck which spawns at bottom of your interface for you to choose from, each costing mana and has different effects of use.

The music and OST was calming and allowed for amazing hours of grinding and exploration.

The boss fights were fun and some were challenging, the only thing I noticed is the major spike of difficulty for the final boss which no other boss in the game had, but in the end it was manageable. I love a real challenge after all.

This is really recommended if you're into Bullet Hell genre, a great game from the publisher Team17.

I really wish I had liked this game more, as a fan of both Bullet Hell and Metroidvanias. This is a game where the Bullet Hell elements are clashing hard with the rest of the game.

You need a variety of rooms and environments for your metroidvania, but the cramped corridors create issues for the bullet hell (compare with Enter The Gungeon, where rooms tend to always have enough space for you to walk and dodge around). You need some randomness for your deck builder, but the need to keep up with the constantly shifting spellcards you have requires you to move your eyes away from the action in the middle of the bullet hell. That is not to mention how the enemies have little sync between them.

Now, the story and characters are definitely charming, the world and setting were good, and the themes were a pretty welcome surprise, but there's only so much of the gameplay that I could do. And when I had to turn on the cheats to get pass a certain ambush, I realized that this game was just not one I wanted to follow to the finishing line.

I can't actively recommend it to anyone, but I also wouldn't stop anybody curious from playing it, because I do think there are good ideas here, but they were not well executed.

Ecco qualcosa di diverso, un metroidvania-bullet hell twin stick, combinazione non molto frequente.
La trama iniziale vede delle, beh, [i]Knight Witches[/i] (delle streghe-cavaliere) che combattono contro un impero malvagio, vincono ma il mondo va comunque in malora e così si rintanano tutti sotto terra. Quando però emergono nuovi problemi tocca a noi, una KW in riserva che non ha mai combattuto, risolvere la situazione.

La trama ha alcune idee interessanti (le KW sono tanto più forti quanto le persone credono in loro, espresso tramite un Link e… dei Mi Piace? sì c’è un sottotesto social palese) e non è male, ha alcune punte parecchio cupe verso la fine, ma molti dialoghi... sembrano scritti da una che fa una fanfiction su se stessa nei panni di una nanetta che è sposata con un demone muscoloso kawaii :3 [i]"ti amo", "no io ti amo di più" "awww"[/i], sono abbastanza cringe e l’alternanza tra questi e i momenti più seri è un po’ strana.

Come detto è un bullet hell quindi si spara tanto e si deve schivare tanto, la nostra KW vola e man mano sbloccherà nuove abilità per scattare attraverso dei muri, attivare dispositivi specifici e così via. Si può scegliere se sparare in automatico al nemico più vicino ma con meno danni, oppure usare il secondo stick per mirare e fare più danni. C’è poi una meccanica per cui dovremo costruirci un mazzo di carte con incantesimi speciali (attacchi/AOE, scudi, varie ed eventuali) che poi verranno pescate man mano che le usiamo spendendo mana. Questo però è droppato dai nemici solo ogni tanto, perciò all’inizio questo sistema delle carte non viene sfruttato granché.
Oltre a questo ci sono dei negozi che vendono armature, che però proteggono solo per un paio di colpi, poi si rompono. Abbastanza inutile viste le centinaia di colpi che dovremo schivare e i mostri che ci si teletrasportano addosso, un vero sistema di equip sarebbe stato meglio.

I livelli non sono molti e la progressione è più o meno guidata, però costringono spesso a fare un giro dell’oca per andare da una stanza all’altra. Da un hub centrale ci possiamo poi teletrasportare all’ingresso di ciascun livello, ma il percorso inverso si fa a piedi – cioè, in volo, in ogni caso lentamente.

Ci sono tante stanze “Imboscata” (in seguito ripetibili a piacere per “sfida”) dove dovremo sopravvivere a ondate di nemici per proseguire, a volte sono così piccole che schivare tutto è un casino, e non sempre i “falò” di checkpoint sono vicinissimi. Verso la fine comunque, previo completare le varie sidequest e acquistare le carte migliori, diventeremo così OP che shotteremo qualsiasi cosa.
Se per qualcuno è troppo difficile c’è anche un menu di cheat usabile a piacimento, con invincibilità, mana infinito eccetera, che non invalida i progressi né gli achievement – e per fortuna, non c’è niente di missabile.

Buono il design “cartoonesco” di personaggi, nemici e boss, mentre il sonoro è un po’ sottotono e generico, ci sono solo un paio di brani validi.
Dura sulle 12-15 ore e in generale non mi è dispiaciuto, mi si è freezato un paio di volte perché non sono capaci di programmare. Alcuni aspetti migliorabili e qualche area un po’ frustrante, ma comunque un gioco discreto.

游戏的“弹幕”+“银河城”的结合想法不错，黑暗童话风格的剧情也让人感兴趣，风格美术表现优秀，但是糟糕的怪物、关卡以及卡牌法术的设计毁掉了玩家80%的游戏体验。以下我的感受与建议：
1.怪物设计
游戏中的小怪种类不多，前期与后期的小怪区别大都是发射的弹幕变多，血量更厚。在初期小怪弹幕不够密集时玩家体验尚可，一旦游玩至第二章图，敌人弹幕数量陡然上升，再加上狭小的地形与糟糕的键鼠适配，简直是灾难般的体验。到中后期会频繁出现可以释放大量弹幕的敌人，攻击欲望高、射速快，如果不用手炮我都不知道该怎么玩。
在boss设计上倒是没什么令人印象深刻的战斗，就连最终boss的设计也仅仅是弹幕堆叠，我认为不用特定法术根本过不了（回甲法术硬换血），最终boss的弹幕根本就没有设计，在与boss的战斗中没有感觉到对不同类型弹幕尝试躲避的见招拆招的乐趣，只有想尽快结束折磨的想法。在游戏中也有多场伏击战斗均是小怪车轮战，我认为这也是弹幕设计孱弱的体现，是制作组无法设计优秀的弹幕战斗。
参考我玩过的弹幕游戏（以撒、枪牢），一板一眼的出招设计是最稳妥的，也是最容易把控战斗节奏的，以《魔骑少女》中第一次与罗宾战斗举例，其冲锋、追踪弹、闪现射击、大面积弹幕等技能是还不错的设计，是为数不多我留有印象的战斗，但是技能与技能之间的衔接时间过短，导致不同技能的弹幕相互叠加，使得原本还有设计的弹幕变成了随机且可能导致必死的糟糕设计，如果能调整技能的释放间隔，第一次与罗宾的战斗体验起码会得到很大提升。
2.关卡设计
由于主角在开始便拥有飞行能力，地图上大多数位置都能抵达，且地图分为几个大地图，并不是一体的需要在特定传送点才能在大地图中传送。后面解锁的能力如冲刺、近战、哈基米也仅仅只是用来获取前期拿不到的奖励，没有根据能力来对地图进行分层，且由于游戏只有到最后流程才能拿到传送道具（但用处也不大，只能在存档点进行大地图间的传送），导致跑图体验十分无聊且漫长，加上糟糕的弹幕设计，使得我在获得新能力时没有任何激动，只想着又要回去重跑一遍图。关卡在谜题、跑酷设计上中规中矩，但是部分伏击战斗关卡的设计有严重问题，尤其是第二章地图，在湖上有多个怪物密集、弹幕密集、地形狭小的关卡，体验十分之差。
我认为作为对于类银河城游戏，根据不断获得的新技能来不断解锁为探索的区域是关卡设计的基本功，但《魔骑少女》在这方面显然做的不合格，更别说它的地图甚至不是一个整体。
3.卡牌法术
终于说到这个游戏的万恶之源，卡牌法术设计。简单来说就是你可以在游戏中获得一些卡牌，并选择一些卡牌放入牌库中，在战斗中你会抽取最多3张卡牌，消耗法力可以使用卡牌并释放法术效果，每使用一张卡牌会将该牌丢弃并立即抽取1张卡牌，但是最关键的是抽取的卡牌是完全随机的，其与触发按键不会100%对应，例如你用1号键位触发闪电法术，之后你再抽到闪电法术就不一定对应1号键位了。这对玩家的操作习惯是毁灭性打击，在需要玩家高度集中精神躲避弹幕的战斗，游戏却还要求玩家去注意右下角抽取到的的法术对应什么键位，将玩家的移动与技能行为完全割裂，我要是想专注躲避弹幕就没有精力去观察卡牌法术键位，如果想使用法术就没法精确的规避弹幕，这完全破坏了游戏本就不够游戏的弹幕游戏体验。并且游戏强制要求玩家携带足够量的卡牌，不允许只携带3张卡牌来规避随机抽取卡牌的情况，且后期随着基础法力升级玩家被迫携带的卡牌上限还会增多，完全是负反馈。在具体法术卡牌的设计上也鲜有优秀设计，大部分法术要么对释放位置有需求、要么作用不大，能用的法术寥寥无几。
弹幕游戏考验玩家对画面的观察与反应，大多不会在战斗中随意更改按键，但《魔骑少女》却犯了这种致命的错误，完全毁坏了游戏体验。我认为如果制作者任然想保留配置卡组的乐趣，不如将卡牌法术的释放按键简化，将玩家构筑卡牌与弹幕战斗在时间上彻底分开，具体方案为将原有3个按键改为一个切换按键，用于切换法术的释放与否，选择释放法术便会从牌库中卡牌的顺序从左至右依次自动释放，而在构筑牌组阶段便是类似《notia》的法术构筑，将原本不稳定、没有构筑深度、交互有问题的系统改为一个类似法术编程的系统。
4.其他问题（涉及剧透，酌情观看）
说完了《魔骑少女》的主要问题，接下来我想说说剧情上的问题，游戏中曾多次暗示当时罗宾可能并没如宣传中所说的正面击败了卡岱珊家族皇帝，但直到结局也没交代情况。类似这种挖坑不填的行为，游戏剧情中有多处，例如地下城的建造者究竟怎么了、现任政府在当年制造“魔骑少女”的目的是否是为了保护星球、魔族曾经的历史问题等等，并且剧情对于罗宾的描述过于奇怪，从后续剧情可以知道罗宾是为了保护盖亚才不抵抗入侵，但是直到他死亡也没有向公众解释，也没有尝试与主角沟通，游戏中有纸条提到罗宾为保护其他魔女自愿成为政府的宣传机器，由此看出罗宾起码不是什么十恶不赦的角色，但剧情里没有给罗宾任何补救的机会，只是一味的刻画一个偏执的谜语人。并且该游戏中的政府（实际上就是尊者和一个类似记者的人）一直对民众隐瞒实情，并且从不信任魔骑少女，且做了后手“夺取心链计划”（但这个后续也没有提及），无论怎么看都不是什么正面角色，结果在结局居然对其一点批判都没有，更别说审判；而且整个入侵的罪魁祸首（那个绿皮技术员）最终居然也没有受到审判，这让我感觉之前的整个游戏流程都是笑话，打半天结果你告诉我你是好人让我不要杀你。并且游戏中有选择是否说谎的环节，说谎可以获得经验提升等级，不说就获得的少甚至没有，结果这个选择对结局一点影响没有，纯纯浪费玩家感情。总体来说游戏的剧情也很难说的上及格。

最后总结：金玉其表，败絮其中。也就美术好看，游戏性、剧情、操作交互个个有问题，如果你想红温的话那《魔骑少女》一定是不二选择。

The art style is super pleasing to look at, and unlike a lot of reviews here, I felt the movement was perfect. The only gripe I have is the insane difficulty spikes in some areas, which forced me to turn on cheats (only enemy health drops) in order to beat the game. I couldn't imagine spending several hours trying to perfect clear areas just to be able to have enough health later. Other than that, great game!

Not a heavy grinding game like some RPGs, but definitely challenging when opting to NOT use the cheats. I put 7 hours into beating the game WITH the cheats. Storyline starts out somewhat dull (like most games), but the pace picks up quickly. Huge, unexpected twists at the end that you wouldn't expect from the info you get during the game. Could be better if the MC had a tracker in the menu to help keep up with stuff. Paid $3.49 for the game when it went on sale. Would like to see a sequel or a similar game type from this publisher / creator.

As aesthetically beautiful as this game is, and as much as I enjoyed the characters/story, I have to agree with many of negative reviews: 1) movement in general feels too slow and the dash too short, especially when projectile evasion is the name of the game; 2) lack of fast travel makes backtracking (which is hugely necessary late-game) a slog; 3) the spell card system doesn't jibe well with the bullet hell gameplay; and 4) the difficulty spike on the true final boss is, uh, something else. For these reasons, I spent most of my playthrough wavering between positive and negative feelings. But like in other competent Metroidvanias, if you explore thoroughly enough, you're rewarded for your efforts, and that, along with other accessibility features, smooths some of the rough edges. If you're extremely patient and find the idea of a bullet hell Metroidvania appealing, it's not bad.

The Knight witch was a fun and short experience that didn't overstay its welcome. I like most of the things about the game and it wasn't actually as tedious as I thought. Although I admit, I put this game on hold and came back a few months after because the enemies in the early game were genuinely bullet sponges but it was a breeze after a certain portion of the game.

I'll keep my thoughts brief:

-Unique Dual Stick Gameplay. You fly through the entire game in this bullet hell metroidvania.
-Cute art style. Rather than the usual dark and epic art styles in other metroidvanias, this one felt like I went back in time in those old fantasy jrpg atmosphere.
-Good Soundtrack, loved the end credits specifically.
-Mostly Good Characters, Main antagonist kinda sucks and does not look or act menacing.
-No Checkpoint Fast Travel. Quite tedious, and it padded the gameplay hours.
-Easy Platinum.

Overall, I thought I would hate the game after putting it on hiatus but when I came back, I think I genuinely had a great time. It just had a terrible early game against enemies but there's an extremely op armor and weapon in the end that made the game especially the frost moons and radiant suns a breeze. I could have beaten this game at least 1-2 hours earlier if it wasn't for me getting lost on completionist but that's a me problem. 7/10

I really enjoy this game. A mix between a metroidvenia and a bullet hell, leaning more to bullet hell. If you played "Lost In Random" the card gameplay is the same, you get your weapons and powers from cards that cost mana and you also get a companion like dicey but more stationary.

Gameplay: fantastic love it, very fun to play, mix your own cards and see what works and makes it feel really OP.
Music: great music for battles and ambience, same with the sound design it's good.
Story and dialog: now this is where it all falls flat. The story is fine, gets the point across, it's not bad, could be better yes, and could have a better pay off. Kinda predictable in some places, and the game even acknowledges it. Now the dialog, it's bad. I thought it was a localization problem, knowing this game was made by Spanish devs, but no; the Spanish dialog was also bad. It's too quirky "le random" for my taste, I started to skip a lot.

Overall, I do recommend this game highly for its gameplay. Very fun and entertaining.

I found the tone a little uncomfortable, since the villains are big-nosed old men who have created "golems" which you must destroy using, among other things, a spell that shoots bullets in four directions out of you while spinning back and forth in a way that reminded me of a certain symbol. Nobody else seems to be mentioning that, which seems odd to me.

The gameplay did not grab me. In the very talk-heavy village after the tutorial fight, I immediately found myself in a training room set up by my husband (weird) and realized that this game probably requires more dexterity than I have. I agree with another reviewer who said random spell assignment to buttons makes it very hard to react quickly and use them strategically.

Overall, this game seems optimized for the advertisement video rather than actual play.

I can recommend this one, with an asterisk. At some point, you are probably going to want to look up and load the built in cheats in order to continue enjoying this game. It's fun, but the difficulty and tediousness starts to get a bit too much and it really needs one or two of a variety of QOL changes to be genuinely fun overall. Probably the biggest problem is that your mana supply is way too sparse given how much the game wants you to use it. Also it doesn't help that every enemy is a bullet sponge and you have to constant trek through entire zones over and over fighting them over and over and over.

The dialogue is going for something, everyone knows what that is which is why it's baffling that the second message they send is by giving you auto aim by default and not letting you turn it off.

The gameplay is fine. if you're looking for a fantasy shmup and can get it on sale it's probably worth it but there are way better things to play right now. I might come back and finish it at some point.

敵の弾が見ずらいという指摘もあるが、これは敵の弾の色が赤だとかで統一されておらず、敵が落とすシャード（お金）と同じ色の緑の弾もあったり、敵が死んだときの残骸のエフェクトや自分や敵キャラの攻撃時のパーティクルの多さ、画面の揺れも原因かと思われる。画面の揺れは切ったほうがプレイし易い。
序盤の道中で手に入る無敵でダッシュできるアクションが特にクールタイムが設定されていないので、連続使用した方が速く動けるし自キャラの当たり判定も小さい訳じゃないので、弾幕の間を避ける事よりもダッシュで回避しまくるゲームだった。1プレイボリュームもそんなにあるわけじゃなくて、多少飛ばしましたが初見でも7-8時間でクリアできる程度で、マップも思ったほど大きくありませんでした。

それはさておき、ゲームはすごく面白かった！
弾幕シューティングヴァニアランキングがあったら、トップを争える力があると思いました。

弾幕と聞くとやっぱり東方とか虫姫さまみたいのを想像するかと思いますが、難易度的には全然マイルドです。
メトロイドヴァニアっぽくダッシュで敵の弾を躱せますし。

逆にガチガチにシューティングする人だと物足りないかも。
私はシューティングは苦手ですが、とても楽しめました。

少し変わったメトロイドヴァニアがやりたいな。と思ったらぜひ選択肢にいれてみてください。

〇好きだったところ
・オートエイムがデフォルトでガンガンかかる！
シューティングやってて私が一番つらいなーと思うのが、エイムをしながら敵の攻撃をかわす。という二つの技術を磨かないといけないところかな。と思っています。

なので私はエンターザガンジョンみたいな、上記に当てはまっているゲームは全然クリアできずリタイアしました…
でもこのゲームは結構精度よく自動的に相手を狙ってくれるので、基本自分の防御を考えて、射撃ボタンを押していれば何とかなる。場面が多いです。
オートエイムを使うと攻撃力が下がるよ。という最初のチュートリアルがありますが、全然気にならず最後のボスまで倒せたので、エイム力はゼロでもオッケーだと思います。
上手い人はＲスティックでエイムもできるのでＯＫＯＫ。

・こちらが被弾すると周りの敵の弾が全部消えてくれるので、はめられた！ということがすくない。
あと被弾してもシューティングみたいにパラメータが落ちたりしないので、そこも優しい作りになっていた。

・ストーリーが最後はちょっと？？となる部分もありましたが、しっかり作られていて、ちゃんと主人公もしゃべるし、周りのキャラもいっぱいしゃべってくれるので、出てくるキャラも個性的なので、ストーリーを進めたい！という原動力になっている。
主人公がしゃべるのは絶対大事だと思う。
旦那さんとラブラブでうらやましい。

・スペルカード（必殺技みたいなもの）がソフトなデッキ構築みたいになっていて、ボスやステージによって、こっちの方がいいかな？こっちはどうだろう。と戦略の幅があってよかった。
引きたいスペルカードを今欲しい！というところで引けると快感です。
私は基本ショットを強化するカード入れまくった脳筋ビルドでしたが、バリア系も充実しているので、守備的に立ち回るのも面白そうと思います。

・マップにマーカーが置けないのでうぇぇと思っていたら、まだ取れるアイテムがある部屋には色がつくようになったので、延々と探索しなくて済む。

・BGMが良い感じだった。
しかしなぜかBGMよりSEの方がでかいので調整は必要。

〇辛いと思ったところ
・自キャラの当たり判定がでかい。
東方みたいじゃないところが良いといいましたが、こっちは東方なら躱せるなというシーンでバチバチ被弾します。
回避の要はダッシュの方が良いと思います。ダッシュは距離が短いですが、硬直なく連発できて、ダッシュ無敵あるし。

・ファストトラベルがない
もう今月だけでも２，３作品のレビューに書いた気がしますが、セーブポイントは全部ファストトラベルにしようよ…
各ステージがそんなに広くないからいらんやろ、と思っているのかもしれませんが、主人公のもったり移動速度（後述）と相まって、スキルを手に入れてから、昔行けなかったところに戻るのがかなりストレス。
このゲームに限らず、メトロイドヴァニアの制作者の皆様、本当にお願いします。

・歩き速度（というか主人公は常時飛んでいるので飛行速度）がかなり遅い
ダッシュは速いですが、上記の通り、ダッシュ距離が短めなので、ダッシュボタンを連打していないといけません。マップを一つ越えるのにダッシュ20回とか30回とかかかります。
正直面倒です。

常時主人公の速度を速くしてしまうと、難易度低下につながってしまう。ということなら、スペルで速度を上げるスペル（ボス戦やモンスター部屋では使えません。とかボスを倒したエリアでしか使えません。）とかなにか救済措置があるとよかったのになぁと思います。

・背景があるところで、敵の弾が見づらいところがある。
残念なことに最初の街が一番見づらいんですよね。。
さわりの部分で「敵の弾が見えない！」って思うと続ける気力もなくしてしまうと思うので、敵の弾の色などはもっとこだわっても良い気がした。途中で緑になり見やすくなるので全部緑でもよかったのでは？

辛いところもありましたが、全体的には良作で良かった。
次回作があるといいな。

i havent gotten super far into the game yet but i really vibe with the game so far! the game feels especially great on steam deck, i mapped the spellcards to the back buttons and it feels very good to aim and use spells at the same time (of course the game auto aims for you, albeit your bullets are a bit weaker than manual aiming.)

一言で言うと「アイディアとアートワークは良いけど調整が問題あり」な惜しい作品。
前半はともかく後半は動きを制限する狭い地形（ダメージゾーンあり）とまともに避けれない高密度弾幕や高速追尾段の安易な組み合わせばかりでSTGという意味ではお粗末な出来と言わざるを得ない。
それでも根気があれば何とかなるレベルだと思うので、お情けでオススメにしておきます。

Overall, fun little metroidvania bullet-hell type of game. Exploration is good. Combat is OK.

The story is pretty forgettable. I ended up skipping it as much as possible. The plot points were OK, but the writing felt a little weird.

I didn’t like that the persistent gameplay loop was locking you in a room to fight basic enemies that spawn out of nothing. That is really boring. There aren’t too many enemy types. They had a little reward mechanism for doing that well, but I didn’t bother.

I like the puzzles and the abilities in each level. It added a bit of newness to each area. Unfortunately, most of the puzzles felt like a key and door type of problem.

The animation was really bad. They took a static image and stretched it. It looked horrible. At least the characters were fairly detailed.

The exploration felt fun. I liked rescuing people that you can talk to in a city. It felt like you were expanding the world.

I only gave the game a no to be super critical. It’s an OK game. I appreciate that I haven’t played this type of game before.

키보드마우스로했는데, 마우스 조준선표시가 ㅈㄴ 안보임. 화면 끝으로 가면 조준선이 사라져서
어리버리타게됨. 자동조준 오른쪽마우스, 대쉬 스페이스로 바꾸면 조작키는 괜찮아짐.
그리고 무기별로 기존특성을 생각하지말고 그냥 유도탄 쓰는게 제일 좋네요.
그리고 나중에 히든요소 숨겨진맵들 다 알려주니까, 괜히 미리 찾을려 안해도 됩니다.

It seems this game favors a person with odd tastes. Unlike others, I absolutely loved this game. I didn't find the difficulty oppressive (until the final-final boss, though back-tracking and powering up overcame that), but it certainly was difficult; it's partially a bullet hell game.

What I found particularly fun was looking at each encounter like a puzzle. Sure, you could probably lock in and win by brute-forcing the encounter again and again (heck, I did this a few times). But it seems we're meant to look at our deck and select spells for the specific combination of enemies we're up against. I had a lot more fun when I stopped ignoring the deck mechanic. All this nuance falls aside (tastefully) once you've leveled up enough and gathered enough broken cards. It feels very satisfying to go back to ambushes that previously took me several tries only to eviscerate them by spamming Ghost Gun, War Spirit and Reload.

The game COULD have benefited from better map indicators and a more-liberal fast travel system. I think a lot of gamers have lost their patience for wandering and backtracking...

Anyway, if you like bullet hells, metroidvanias, action RPGs and deck-builders (lite) you might find The Knight Witch's unique blend of these genres appealing. Not all do. I absolutely did.

I decided to buy this game on a whim because the gameplay looked fun. I'm not a fan of the character art style and I didn't care for the story. I was annoyed that I couldn't skip it outright; I had to mash through dialogue and there was a lot of it. However, the core gameplay is actually really fun. It's a twin-stick bullet hell metroidvania where you have free flight. You don't have to worry about aiming too much since she auto-aims to the nearest enemy, but you can still hold right-stick to aim. I enjoyed myself, it's really fun when things work, but it isn't perfect. If you don't have enough damage, it's easy to get overwhelmed with so many incoming bullets that you can't dodge them all. I went hard into upgrading mana and spells, so I had pretty good damage for most encounters. It was annoying that enemies only drop mana when you hit them with your regular attack and the range that you grab mana orbs is really short so it was hard to stay topped off on mana in some encounters. Overall, it was fun.

Neat little Metroidvania. Not too sure about the full price, but I got it at a decent discount and definitely got my money's worth out of it.

It can be a bit difficult in places, but there are cheats available that allow you to adjust the difficulty a bit, such as slower bullets or double the currency pickups - as well as infinite health and mana if you really need training wheels.

As for the two negative points you will probably find in any review:
The underwater section is a bit slow, and it sucks that enemies still get to attack you from all angles while you are stuck with left and right. And the lack of a real fast travel method kind of sucks - at some point in the game, you at least get the ability to return to any of the five main warp points that connect the areas (except for the area you are currently in, for some reason?); and of course you can death warp to your last activated beacon or area transition.

Aside from that, the game is pretty great - lots of exploration and puzzles, as well as combat challenges. Also, to answer a question that you undubitably are going to ask at some point during gameplay: Yes, you will eventually get a better kind of map that gives you info on missed items, and it tracks all collectibles except for which ones of your necromantic friends you have talked to.

Tentei mesmo gostar desse jogo, a arte é linda a historia é bem básica e sem profundidade , a ideia de misturar vários generos até que é legal, porem tem vários problemas, a começar pelo level design, embora bonito tambem é muito confuso, voce se perde frequentemente precisando gerenciar muitas coisas e jogando com teclado e mouse é bem pior, eles até colocam um aviso no inicio do jogo avisando que a experiencia no controle é melhor , mas a discrepancia parece ser bem grande pois o combate do jogo n da prazer, apenas frustraçao. Comprei bem barato mas dropei, uma pena pois é um jogo que eu gostaria de gostar.

This game is the very definition of "meh." It does a lot of things well, but it also does all of them wrong at the same time, which is almost a feat. Let's go over them.

[b]Combat[/b]: You fly freely around Metroid-style environments, blasting bots with cards and pew-pew lasers. It works fine for the most part... but there isn't a great feeling of getting stronger over the course of the game, and the environment feels somewhat empty outside of Ambush segments. The player's languishing power level is probably why they use a clip from the game's prologue as the first gif on the store page rather than a real clip of the gameplay.

Most of your damage potential is locked up in the Cards and Mana system (you use mana to activate cards), but most of the cards don't feel very strong compared to your normal gun, so you really have to dig for deck synergy. If you ever do find that synergy, it's really only going to be useful in story fights, because the maps themselves aren't very dangerous. Which is bad because...

[b]Map Design[/b]: The map design isn't very good. It would be perfectly passable if this was a short, 4-hour game, but it wants to be longer than that and sell for $20. So, how does it make that happen? BACKTRACKING! YAAAAAY! The protagonist has no sprint button or fast travel, and both the main story and side quests regularly ask you to traverse areas you've already been through. This is bad.

A good (bad) example of this is a side quest that asks you to find a dude located "near your house." Not only is there no warp gate anywhere near your house, but there are also barely any enemies or secrets on the way there. The protagonist flies pretty slowly, too, so you're just ambling through your old neighborhood, fighting an ambush, and then ambling all the way back to base. Someone apparently thought that was a fun quest? Or, they just coded the encounter and weren't paying any attention to how the player was supposed to get there, I don't know.

[b]Story (Spoilers)[/b]: The story is a carnival of missed opportunities. It tells the tale of the Knight Witches, a bunch of women chosen by "gaia" to save the world from big corporations. To win by force, gaia provided them with the "Link", which makes the Knight Witches magically stronger proportional to the number of other people that believe in them. The heroes win, but [spoiler]humanity is still driven underground from the pollution and global warming.[/spoiler] When another invasion [spoiler]threatens their underground city,[/spoiler] the former weakest of the Knight Witches, Rayne, must rise to the occasion and save the day... even if...

Ugh, trust me, any anime this set up might remind you of tells its story way better than the one in this game. In fact, any continuation of the above that you just imagined in your head is better than the one in this game. Nothing has an interesting resolution. Nothing. The plot "twist" is more of a limp-wristed, quarter-clockwise turn. The characters don't really learn or grow, ever. Every attempt at drama falls flat because nothing of importance ever happens. I would just spoil it all right here because, I swear, nobody cares, but I don't want to make the game even worse for the people that want to pick it up blind.

I give this game a thumbs up only because it's already at 71% and I think that's an accurate score. It's not [i]bad[/i]. It's worth playing through if you're bored, especially for the nice, polished visuals, but you shouldn't buy it at full price.

Es un metroidvania y es un bullet hell. Es un juego muy bonito y muy desafiante. Hay momentos desesperantes con algunas oleadas terriblemente difíciles y el jefe final es uno de los jefes más difíciles que me he encontrado en mi vida, sin espacios donde esquivar y con 3 fases endiabladas y llenas de hp. No es un juego para todo el mundo debido a su dificultad pero es un juego muy bonito y por ello lo recomiendo totalmente. 10/10

Honestly bullet hell games aren't something im great at but they're fun. this game tries and i feel like successfully puts a spin on it in a narrative driven little high fantasy esc metroidvania game, though ill say where it fails miserably at the same time. on one hand the game has a great idea, the characters are fun and are fine is not like a intense story but it does get the job done. sadly i feel the hit box is just too big in most bullet hell games the hit box's are smaller and make for tighter moves, but this game has your whole body as a hit box and it makes it even hard to make those same moves...Now next issue is the random "deck" spells its annoying and only makes the game even harder. the idea is cool but constantly changing between random abilities just adds to already difficult game. and the biggest problem this game has is the random difficulty spikes are terrible. heck i love a challenging game I've 100%'d Undertale, but this game does you so dirty, and doesn't make you wanna rise to the challenge the balance is just awful. I'm really dissapointed honestly I was vibing with the story enjoying the challenge only to have a rude awakening for a boss that isn't even the end of the game... yeah the reviews reflect even my own gripes. honestly id say pass on this unless you are good at bullet hells and want a fun little romp.

Great game but with some anoying stuff. Actually, only two things annoyed me.

First, the lack of portal or ways to backtrack from one point to another. There's still have some but you need to often go through a lot of rooms to get back to where you want to go and thus, killing again and again all the mobs ... Anyway, I thought it rapidly became tedious to go back to previous area.

Second thing is the random skills. It was not that bad but I would have prefer to be able to not only choose what I like but make sure that I could use them when I want to. ... or maybe at least have the mana refill on it's own because it kind of suck to have to use mana for a skill you don't need at that moment in hope the next skill to show is the one you want. It just use mana for nothing and you need to kill more mobs to refill it. Maybe it's just me but I thought it wasn't the best idea.

All in all, it's still a good game and I enjoyed it.

The Knight Witch is a really well made and fun game! If you like metroidvanias and/or bullet hell style games, I highly recommend this title. I played this mostly (98%) on my SteamOS~ified ASUS Rog Ally X. Excellent performance.

Vou começar falando o quão coincidente foi estar jogando esse jogo e assistindo To Be Hero X. Simplesmente, as Knight Witchs ganham poder com confiança e são obrigadas pelo pessoal de cima a contar o que o povo quer ouvir, igualzinho EM TO BE HERO X, também tem o plot [spoiler]delas serem fabricadas e forçadas a contar mentiras, ganhar confiança, e ter um projeto pra elas não ficarem poderosas e se tornarem um DEUS, claramente nada coincidente com To Be Hero x.[/spoiler]

O jogo tem cenários surpreendentes e uma história bem mediana, é raro repetir cenários nesse jogo, mas peca bastante em muitas mecânicas de Metroidvanias que me deixaram estressado, um preço exorbitante pra só 13 horas (ignore minhas 17 horas, zerei em 13) de gameplay, também querem que tu vá em diversos lugares sem um único teleporte, o jogo tem teleporte, mas ele é horrível e só é pego no final. Pra completar 100% é um ódio de fazer, tu precisa fazer 27 emboscadas perfeitas e andar por todo o mapa, sendo que eu já tinha explorado tudo,isso é uma mecânica que também é de final de jogo além do teleporte e acho ridícula pro 100% do jogo (era só pensar com 2 neurônios e fazer uma sala que tu pode repetir todas essas coisas e não precisar andar).

Falando das coisas boas que gostei nessa jogo, adorei bastante o cenário como falado antes, bastante variação de cartas e como montar o baralho, movimentação maravilhosa e só, aqui acabou as coisas boas.
Jogo é bem linear e sequer tem um mapa grande, é dividido por áreas que achei terrível e bem preguiçoso, contudo o chefe final é um dos últimas coisas que gostei, ele merece muitas palmas, desafiador e memorável, me senti enfrentando o chefe final de Terraria.

Agora falando das coisas que não gostei, queria começar falando de um Bug com um cachorro que não corrigiram e fiquei pensando em como resolver(só sair do jogo e reentrar), outra coisa é um tipo de puzzle do jogo com uma bola ridícula que é uma porcaria, também tem muita inconsistência de dificuldade no cenário, simplesmente passei em um cenário que eu não podia levar tapa pra pegar uma magia super fraca(mais de 7 tentativas), mas a magia mais poderosa do jogo pega em menos de 1 segundo sem dificuldade nenhuma, também tem a famosa fase da água que os caras queriam inovar e fizeram um navio broxa, só colocava um escudo ou alguma coisa pra respirar na água.

Dito tudo isto, eu dou uma nota 6 pra Knight Witch, só recomendaria numa promoção.

J'ai désinstallé le jeu après 2h dessus : le personnage a des déplacements vraiment lents et une portée insuffisante pour pouvoir atteindre des ennemis qui nous submergent sous une tonne de projectiles. Le système de deck de sorts aléatoires auraient pu être sympa mais trop compliqué à suivre lors des phases de combat.
L'ensemble ne donne pas un gameplay agréable pour moi.

It's a pretty decent game. I quite enjoyed it. However, I would like to point out some issues I had with it. If not for these problem this would've been an even better games. First, your spellcards, a mechanic vital to your gameplay, are in the far bottom right corner of the screen, so if you want to peek atthe cards you have drawn, you have to take your eyes off the action... in a bullet hell... Second, there's no fast-travel, which is a nightmare for a completionist like me. Third, this was only a problem in the final boss, but there's no graphics settings, and sometimes, when there's too many bullets on screen, it stutters really bad. Besides these issues, the game is great.

The Knight Witch is a 2D Metroidvania with twin-stick shooter and bullet-hell elements.

The game has a colorful, atmospheric world with good map and art design. However, I was not impressed by the characters' designs.

Gameplay involves a 2D side-scrolling environment. The player is largely airborne, which allows free movement, except in certain sections. The gamepad controls were smooth and responsive (highly recommended for playing with one).

The narrative focuses on four Knight Witches, with the player character aiming to become the fifth. The story progresses by finding hidden pages, rescuing non-playing characters, and talking to them after boss fights. The main story was not very engaging (for me). The music and sound design are excellent.

The gameplay is the primary concern. Enemies require too many hits, and the default weapon is weak, making encounters take too long. Some maps feature enemies with double health, which makes the problem worse. Also, some enemies and most bosses have bullet patterns that are difficult to avoid. Underwater sections limit movement. You can only shoot horizontally, while enemies can shoot in all directions.

The game encourages using special abilities via spell cards. Each card has a unique power, and new ones unlock through progress and optional tasks. You can purchase duplicate cards with shards, the in-game currency. Players can customize their deck with up to nine cards. Only three cards are available at a time, and they cycle randomly after use. This can be frustrating, especially when the needed card is not available, which wastes mana (collected from defeated enemies). This randomness, combined with the enemies, reduces enjoyment.

Save points (Arcane Beacons) refill mana and health and let you change decks. Defeat sends the player back to the last beacon, which requires backtracking. The constant respawning of enemies after saving creates a tedious grind.

Shops offer different shields, which are unlocked through hidden recipes (8 total). Six hidden seeds grant health or mana slot upgrades (each category can be upgraded only thrice). Five hundred collectible coins are hidden throughout the game, and 50 coins can be used to purchase a spell card.

Achieving 100% completion is difficult, requiring mastery of battle zones under strict conditions (no hits or within time limits) to earn spheres. A special homing spell card helps but requires clearing almost 90% of the zones and collecting spheres to unlock. The game has two endings. To get the alternative ending, you must replay the last hour of the game, which was unnecessary.

Overall, The Knight Witch was more frustrating than enjoyable. The art and sound are good, but the gameplay, random card system, and difficulty spikes hurt the experience. If you have the game, try it. Otherwise, I would recommend against getting this one.

O jogo é muito bom. Os gráficos são muito bonitos e os cenários bem variados. Tem uma mecânica interessante em que você monta um baralho e cartas vão sendo sorteadas para você usar como armas especiais. Outra mecânica interessante é que você pode usar o segundo direcional para controlar a mira, ou simplesmente não usar e deixar numa mira automática e mais fraca (é dinâmico, basta usar ou não o direcional a qualquer momento).
O único porém é o final: para quem não se interessa muito em completar todos os objetivos (meu caso), ele acaba forçando isso um pouco antes do último chefe. A menos que você queira ficar um tanto "mais fraco" que o ideal, vai ter que completar diversos objetivos menores para ficar mais forte - e eles são bem mais repetitivos que o restante do jogo.

-Your character moves slow and feels like a big rig.
-No fast travel in combination with the slow movement speed and low movement options makes backtracking a nuisance.
-Your character has a massive hitbox, which makes for a frustrating experience in a shmup.
-Mana availability being random sucks. A regeneration upgrade (likely via time or damage with your primary fire) would go a long way.
-Spell cards being random would be fine... if you had guaranteed mana regeneration or if the spell cards were on a cooldown timer instead.
-Everything about the submarine. Literally everything.
--Slow movement
--Massive hitbox
--Removes your 360° aiming capability, only left and right available
--Removes your dash ability

Edit: Beat the game, still not recommended. Everything above still remains valid.

-The early game is okay, though a bit slow and boring due to not having a dash.
-The midgame was fun, a good mix of challenging and enough variance, but it was interrupted with the absolutely miserable submarine section.
-The late game was fine, I guess.
--Backtracking still sucked because the "fast travel" you get is bringing you to the start of the areas, same as the gate. You still have to slowly make your way back through the levels. Didn't bother trying to go back and find all the coins/get all the cards/do all the ambushes because I just got tired of going so slow.
--The challenge of encounters was pretty much gone due to the spell card system becoming fairly easy to game with the 0 cost cards you find later. You can combat the randomness by making it so you just spam the spell card buttons to cycle back to your actually good cards like Armageddon and Ghost Gun. Making a broken build is fun, though it's not a great sign when the way to do that is to simply minimize your engagement with one of the primary, fundamental systems of the game and create a build that allows you to effectively ignore it.

15.5時間でトロコンです。
ゲーム性は個性的で面白いです。
ですがバランス調整がイマイチ。
序盤はカードに使用するコストと能力が見合ってなくてあんまり面白くない。
中盤以降カードが揃ってくると面白くなってくる。
横シューにわかの自分でも回避活用すればそれなりにボス戦も苦戦しませんでした。
問題点としてはサブクエ要素のザコ敵や中ボスをノーミスとタイムアタックでクリアするミッション。
これがムズイ。
どう考えても無理でしょ？って難易度で終盤まで放ったらかしでしたし半ば諦めてたんですが、終盤手に入るカードでクリアできました。
このゲームチートモードがありますがこのカード自体チートみたいなもんで、終盤以降これだけでクリアできます。
というか上記のサブクエ難易度はこれありきなんじゃないでしょうか。
それくらいこれないとキツイしストーリーモードだと強すぎます。
この辺の塩梅がバランス保ててないなあと思います。
とはいえプレイ感としては面白かったのでオススメです。
