The Forever Winter is a co-op tactical survival horror shooter where you and your squad must loot the dead to survive under the shadow of terrifying and gargantuan war machines locked in a never-ending conflict.

Storyline

Ecological collapse compounded by runaway technological advancement brought us here: a world choked by 40 years of industrial-scale violence between two military superpowers, unmerciful mass killing by AI automata, human-machine hybrids, and the bleak truth of human nature. Das Spiel ist eine Katastrophe. Die Bilder versprechen einiges, die Realität ist leider eine andere. Die Mitspieler laggen durch die Welt, die Steuerung ist träge, und das würde sogar Donald Trump sagen. Dieses Spiel kann man nur spielen, wenn man sich selbst nicht mag.

Great vibes and aesthetic only to be wasted on another extraction shooter where you do the same boring gameplay loop of looting 500 boxes and corpses for money and resource. Paired with a bad AI, the horrible tunnel system and with no main quests or goals or direction this is a pass for now.
p.s. at least there was time for paid skins to be made

게임이 패치를 갈수록 더럽게 패치를해가네요 지네들이 잘못 생각했다는건 없나봐요
차량을 만들어서 물을 쓸모없게 만들더니 물도둑을 더럽게 패치해서 물을 적당한 양 보관을 해야되고
메인메뉴가 아닌 레이드에서 돌아올때 물도둑이 침입한다고하니 장비정리할 시간을 안주겠다는 의지가 보이네요
물도둑들의 총을 줏을수도 없을테고 리그가 꽉 차있다면 아무런 이익도 없이 총알만 낭비하게 될테니까요
지금까지도 패치내용은 대부분 뉴비보다는 고인물을 대상으로 패치를 했었으니까요

game is good, i like the water system, i don't like how expensive the fast travel is.

The later maps destroy my fps on stairs for example i usually get 130 to 140 fps on high settings but stairs gives me a massive frame drop down to 60fps.

there's also this weird bug where the screen shrinks down to 40% size and the rest is stretched out happens rarely but its really annoying.

I beyond despise this game. It tries to be all hardcore and punish you for anything other than perfect game play, but the AI shoots through walls and cover. Sometimes, you will get hit and you will end up in a wall, where you cannot move or shoot, but the AI can shoot you. Then you die. And when you die, you lose all your loot (and brought ammo, med kits, etc) as well as drop your weapon, and drop your rig (backpack). If you died in the tunnels, then you might load into a different tunnel two minutes later, which means your "corpse" with your gear on it will not even be retrievable! Money is easy enough to make, but the weapon you had might not be purchasable; the good optics cannot be replaced.

So, play with a team. Except that is beyond buggy, drops team members, and does not even have a working voice chat system. I know the game is "in development," but these are basic issues that should be solved before even trying to get money for the "product."

Overall, even on sale, this game is not worth your time.

How am I supposed to play when I can't even get out the tunnels without getting absolutely screwed by an enemy squad plus turret with no other way around, seriously I was stuck on a pipe for 10 minutes hopelessly looking for another way, and hopeless it was. And there was zero way I could rambo that with 34 surplus 5.45 rounds and 15 buckshot rounds

I like the premise but the amounts of time I have been killed trough a wall or enemies clipping trough the geometry of the ground , nor how the ai director acts as if you were playing a horde shooter throwing enemies casually were you are hiding ,forcing combat in a game about avoiding it and looting while the enemies are distracted in their war.

Gonna be honest; As with a lot of early access games, things're getting worse. Not better.
Unfortunately I made a mistake that I make with a lot of these things; I bought a game that I thought was good at the time, just a little rough around the edges, and that's what they'd fix.
I was wrong.
Instead we got platforming and enemy-packed tunnels which defy the logic of the game's premise something fierce.

Used to be I'd go in and fight nobody at all, sneaking my way around corners and battlefields, running away when I got caught.
That was what sold me on it. You aren't "that guy". You're just a small scavenger in a frightening world.
Well, that's changed. Now, it seems like they want you to duel platoons on a regular basis. Certainly, if you want to get through the tunnels, you have to kill a dozen guys every time.

Frankly, I didn't get the game for want of another extraction shooter adrenaline pumper where I fight like Doomguy.
I wanted to be cautious, skirt the outside of fights, and take what little scraps I could.
Alas, the game is no longer that.

If things change I may well change my review. But, for now... Definitely can't recommend it. Not unless you have some weird love for the sewer level in games.

The update brought the tunnels and they are now 90% of the game and its not a good time. The areas have 1 enemy faction in them at any given point, so you are the target and they don't always lend themselves to stealth. The loot there is bad. And it takes an extended period of time in them to get anywhere interesting. In its current state you will spend most of the time in the worst location not having fun for rare moments of playing the original game. It was interesting originally, here's hoping it will be interesting again. Banger art though, regardless of gameplay!

Paid 20 bucks for the atmosphere, after playing a demo awhile back that was completely unplayable (literally. there was one survivable path to a mission objective and then the game simply spawned infinite trashmobs).
And I totally give a thumbs up for that price.
It has a ton of jank and I wouldnt bet on a finished and polished release, the concept itself is kind of hostile towards the player (expect a huge wall beeing slapped right in your face...) ... but I know that I have a lot of hours ahead exploring those postapocalyptic wastelands.

They might or might not iron out most of the bugs, improve AI behaviour and whatever, but for me personally the experience was already worth it.
Now excuse me, I have to run the training mission couple times more. Only way I found so far to scrape together some water (which is needed to travel to the nearest interesting location. Two barrels. And you can carry one back to base with the starter kit. Not kidding)

Edit: Didn't realized it has Coop, lol. Don't think I want to play this with randoms anyway, would probably kill half the atmo.

it's fun at first but running around collecting random ♥♥♥♥ gets old real fast,
there isn't much interaction with the world beyong getting spotted and shot at.

is thematically cool but way too clunky, especially the enemies, when they fight each other their reaction to each others presence doesn't go beyond "oh i'm supposed to be shooting now" and then they just stand there or walk the same way the were walking before

watching flying drones shooting at each other is like watching a helium balloon 1v1

Ask yourself, "do i want to spend an hour collecting resources to get killed at the exit by a magicly appearing swarm and lose all my progress ?" if you answer yes to that then go for it cause the world is super cool. I for one do not want that or need that. But this game made me realize i hate extraction games. Since its not a competetive game they need to add a easy option where you dont lose stuff on death and then maybe i will come back. Until then ...extraction games ? never again!

Have you ever played a game that you wanna love because there is so much charm and love in the project, but can't? that's me with this game, what the actual F**k is this game? is it a stealth focused extraction shooter? well if it was it wouldn't spawn 15 cyborgs 5 feet in front of me, and im not talking about them being dropped in like its the combine in Half life 2 shelling you with headcrab pods. literally inside a building oops all cyborgs which are the worst enemy to fight alongside other enemies being built like tanks eating point blank shotgun shots to the face.

I want to stealth but the game puts me in situations where stealth is not an option. also the tunnels is confusing, i understand but there are 3 points on the map that take you to other maps but you don't have a map of the area even though the layout never changes only the atmosphere of the tunnels. Again I want to love this game, but it will literally corner you and you will have no options but to fight. I played solo but even with other players you will get dog piled by drones, cyborgs, and more cyborgs.

One last thing, peaking corners is just awful during fire fights, because AI for some reason decides to be a hitscan doom enemy in tighter combat areas. every time you peak you expose your whole body and they shoot before you can even blink or fire back.

If they fix AI, weapon damage, give a proper peak mechanic, fix stealth, and add a actual map you can bring up to help navigate confusing areas. then I will give it another go.

This is not a perfect game.

It has a lot of bugs espesialy when it comes to multiplayer.

For many the game feels strange because you are not suposed to be the hero but still you get quest that reqiers you to kill what feels like armys of enemis to get to the objectiv.

You can stealth in the game but the AI somtimes do strange things so that stops being an option.

So why the posetive review?

First the art, landscape and all models in the game are beutiful.

Second I got the game in 2024 and I can see that the devs are trying, there is masiv improvments since 2024.

So this game at the moment is a playable art book with a cool story that needs
more time but I belive in the devs.

Get the game to support the devs and ther "artbook" or wait for the game be finished or not
will still recomend it.

The AI is a mess in this game. They are dumb. They run in circles like fools and the whole universe seems to turn around you as if you were the center of it all when you shouldn't be. They also see you when they shouldn't, so stealth is random at best. You crouch behind cover staying still yet they see you, but you kill their squadmate in front of them and they loose you instead of looking past the corner. Everything else seemed great, but in a PvE game, AI must be fun and it isn't. They must be smart yet predictable enough to learn their patterns and make strategies around it. The game has a lot of potential otherwise. I refunded the game, but if they fix their AI, I'll buy it back and update my review.

This game is the living definition of style over substance. The Devs have created a wonderful backdrop and setting with flavourful characters; a literal artbook come to life...

But the actual meat of the game? The GAMEPLAY? Absolute trash.

1. Entire Premise about not being 'that guy' is false. You can easily mow down hordes of troops once you have the faintest idea how bad their AI is.

2. Bad AI. The promises of a dynamic battlefield is all but hot air when you realise that the AI are actually really basic. The Devs compensate by creating unkillable mobs that one shot you.

3. Stealth is Broken. Being a Scav trying to survive a warzone only works when Stealth is functional; combine this with the ♥♥♥♥ AI and the game just falls apart.

4. Devs also drank their own kool aid to the point of insanity, being hardcore for the sake of hardcore without gameplay considerations. Want to enjoy the maps? Enjoy slogging through buggy and ugly tunnels to reach them.

5. How about weapon attachments? There are tons of them, THAT MOSTLY DO NOTHING.

6. What about skills? Progression? Nope; unchanged since launch. But hey! You can build a bar now! But we also nerfed the prevalence of the materials needed in... you guessed it! THE TUNNELS!

The only thing FunDog has is a vision of a setting. But the GAMEPLAY VISION (and not just nostalgia baiting marketing platitudes) seems to be the real casualty of this Forever War.

Не помню когда приобрёл игру, но точно помню что надеялся, верил и ожидал от игры хоть какого-то развития - увы, так и не дождался.
Многих игра зацепила своим визуалом, да чего уж таить, сама игра выросла и концепт арта. Там она и осталась. Производительность игры оставляет желать лучшего, без dlss и прочих побрякушек игра работает крайне плохо, буст fps делается либо покупкой дорогого железа, либо нейронкой (а лучше всё и сразу).
По прежнему хочу ругать игру за сырость буквально во всём. Да, это ранний доступ и никто не обещает мне идеальный проект - это факт, но за столько времени хочется чтобы была возможность хотя бы лут свой забрать, в случае если у тебя игра вылетела во время сессии. Так же система тонелей в своё время знатно мне так поднасрала, когда я упал с трубы, а при повтором заходе на локацию окружение комнаты было изменено - я просто не смог добраться до контейнера со своим лутом.
Делать в игре откровенно нечего, через часов 50-60 становится абсолютно скучно, к этому времени успеваешь осмотреть все локации, повстерчать всех врагов, найти подходящее тебе оружие, заучить все безопасные маршруты. Шутерную составляющую я так понимаю решили подрезать, чтобы вы не чувствовали себя героем, поэтому, если вдруг захочется пострелять, будьте готовы что на вас выпустят ультимативное "оружие", которое вы не можете никак убить, а только убегать. Остаётся лишь собирать мусор по локациям и выполнять задания, которые уже делаются по 10 или более раз - кстати, если вдруг захотите поднять денег, вам хватит буквально первых двух локаций и тунеля - дальше просто смена декораций, если она для вас важна.
Увы, пусть я в игре провёл не столь много времени, она смогла мне дать некоторые положительные эмоции, мне было очень инересно наблюдать за лором этого мира, но если честно, куда проще открыть вики и почитать все тексты там, вместо того чтобы бегать выполняя просто наитупейшие задания формата "принеси-подай" в 40-50 fps.
На текущий момент, игра лишь красивый концепт, который затягивает на недельку или две.
Если разрабочтики начали выпускать DLC для проекта в ранем доступе, то это значит что игра терпит финансовый крах, если она не получит поддержку, то либо будет отложена в долгий ящик - либо будет закрыта.
Стоит ли вам вкладываться в такой проект? Решайте сами!

Tunnels are extremely unfriendly to new players, the game is too punishing to properly progress, the water system aka: 0 water = lose all progress, stash, everything is such an asinine thing to add into a game... If the devs care only about a small niche of players then sure, however they shouldn't expect making much sales with wider groups...
I recommend Darksouls over this anytime.
Its still in EA soo things might change but until then I'd stay clear unless you got copious amounts of time to waste.

A MELHORAR (Minha opinião):
Otimização do jogo (Tá uma porcaria).
IA maçante e na maioria dos casos chata.
Acabar com os Spawns aleatórios de inimigos.
Movimentação do Jogador.
Menos punitivo por se tratar de um jogo PvE focado.

REMOVER (Minha opinião):
HUNTER KILLERS: Não fazem sentido em uma guerra onde os esforços deveriam estar focados em ameaças maiores do que apenas um Scav comum.
RAY TRACING: Ativado por padrão no game e isso acaba com o FPS.
ILUMINAÇÃO LUMEN: Por favor tirando isso o FPS pode melhorar MUITO.

[h1]緊張と面白さの次元軸があさっての方向にダッシュした　爆笑脱出シュータ[/h1]
　流行りの脱出シュータになるのでしょうか。
　死亡リスクのシビアさ（Lootと装備のロスト）は緊張感があります。

　私はリスクのわりにリターンの少ないゲームをあまり好まないので（そのあたりがシビアなことの多い）脱出シュータは基本的に好きではありません（ソウルライクも大っ嫌い！）。でもこのゲームのビジュアルに惹かれて買いました。
　ＥＡかつソロプレイのレビューとなります。
（追記も含めてとても長くなってしまいました）

[h3]〇楽しい？[/h3]
　不親切で説明不足な部分が多く、操作性も悪く（キャラの動きが硬くて重い）ときに発生する理不尽な現象にともなう損失（システムの不全による死亡と回収不能）も大目に見ることができて、異様なほど緩やかな成長曲線とリプレイ性のバランスを自分の中に見出せるなら楽しめる。

　私は「たまにプレイして、成功していい気分になって、さらにプレイを続けて理不尽な現象（ただの死ではない）に当たって嫌な気分になって溜め息を吐いてやめる」というのを数日に一度繰り返す感じ。
　そんなに頻繁にプレイしたいものではないし、やみつきになってずっと続けたくなるような楽しさは感じません。
　プレイ中の緊張感が希薄（その代わり別方向のストレスがマッハ）なため、エスケープに成功した達成感も乏しい。

[h3]〇おすすめポイント[/h3]
・世界設定とそのビジュアル表現。
　弐瓶勉さんの作品に見られるような暗く底の知れないメガストラクチャのようなトンネル内部の表現や、戦場の荒廃した表現は素晴らしいと思います。二足歩行ロボの描き方（特に脚部アンカーなどの説得力）も素晴らしい。
　泥臭い戦場に生きるプレイヤーキャラが美男美女でないところも好みですし、メカデザインもすごくいいと思います。

・能力に特徴のあるキャラを選択できる。
　複数のキャラの中から選択することが可能です。
　パワータイプ／スピードタイプなど、好みのプレイスタイルがあるなら（このキャラかな）というのが見つかるはず。

・ＮＰＣと出撃できる。
　ソロでもプレイの幅が広がる要素の一つ。
　攻撃ユニットと輸送ユニットがあり、商人から買い付けて出撃画面で選択できます。
　ソロなのに味方がいるなんて心強いですね（にっこり）。

[h3]〇イマイチポイント[/h3]
・ＥＡなら障害物にスタックするのは当たり前？
　行けるかな、と思って跳んで落ちるのは自分のせいですが、しゃがんでくぐった先でハマるなんてことがたびたび。これ地形パターンを覚えなきゃダメなこと？
　リスポーンする他なく、そうなると Loot と装備はロストします。
「取りに行けば死んだ場所に置いてあるよ」とシステムは教えてくれますが、行ってもまたハマるだけですし「今のはお前のせいだろ！」って気持ちになる(笑)
（ちなみにロストした装備は壁や床や天井に埋め込まれて回収できない場合がほとんど。このゲームではこれが標準仕様です）

・ＮＰＣのＡＩの出来が致命的（に低能）。
　敵性ＮＰＣは基本的に同じ場所をぐるぐるして、索敵範囲に敵対ユニットを発見すると近づいて交戦するようです。
　最初のエリアであるトンネル内だと索敵範囲に誰もいないことも多く、自動生成マップ（だと思う）があだになっているのか、スポーンした部屋の中をひたすらぐるぐるしています。
　私はそのあたりをスカベンジしたいのですが……あの人たち何してるんでしょうね。来週、子供の運動会に参加するお父さんたちかな？

　随伴ＮＰＣもＡＩがお粗末で、プレイヤにぶつかるほど近づいては障害になり、穴があれば落ち、階段は踏み外し、変な場所（たとえば壁の中や床下、空中、自分の頭上や敵性ＮＰＣの目の前）にリスポーンし、敵性ＮＰＣの前では棒立ちして自滅、ときに狭い足場の目の前に空中湧きしてきて、仕方なくよじ登ったら奈落の底へと無理心中するのが日常茶飯事。
　いずれも居てほしいときにどこかに埋まっていて、居なくていいときに邪魔をする。
　会いたい時にあなたはいつもいない……（慣れれば単なる爆笑ポイントです）

　攻撃ユニットに対しては攻撃／防衛／移動の目標地点を指示できるのですが「変な場所」にスポーンしていると当然、目的地点には移動できません。
　また射撃兵装をしているはずなのに、近接戦闘距離にならないと攻撃しない。
（これは障害物判定を含めたロジックの未熟さを示しています）
　かと思えば開けた場所ではこちらの隠密行動も構わず、射程内の敵に射撃を続けて注意を引くだけ引いて自滅する（大騒ぎで悲鳴を上げながら障害物競走するゲームに早変わり……いや、いつもか）。
　たいした役に立たず、デコイにもならない。

　輸送ユニットはプレイヤキャラに重なることが多々あり（とくにドアを開けた直後など）、そこで戦闘に突入すると移動もできないのでジャンプしてよじ登って乗り越えることになり、乗り越えた先に攻撃ユニットが団子になっていて（よくある）今度はそれを乗り越えなくてはならなくて、謎の障害物競走のような状態になり、さらにひどい場合はその先の障害物（壁などの環境）に挟まれて動けなくなり（たいてい死に）ます。
　この世界に生きるのは障害が多すぎるよ……。

　この「障害物競走」の時のカメラワークがまた滅茶苦茶で、呆れを通り越して大爆笑もの。
　……て、アタシが求めてるのはそういう「面白さ」じゃないのよ。
　障害も、もっと違うものを想定してるのよ。

　いずれにしてもすべてのオブジェクト（プレイヤ／敵キャラ・障害物・他の随伴ユニット）に対する、ＮＰＣやシステムのロジックが障害(笑)になっている不完全さ。

　緊張感をもってプレイしていたのに、出来の悪いコントみたいなことになります。それもしょっちゅう。
　ほんと何してんの、この（私を含む）人たち……(笑)
　こうして現実に引き戻されます。転生モノかな？

・水を集めるのに水がいる。
　出撃するには水が必要です（仕様）。
　その水を（ついでに）集めに出かけているのに（私は下手なので）失敗が重なり「水が足りない」と文句を言われて出撃さえできなくなる……基本無料のスマホゲーなの？

　ってこれ全部アタシのせい！？
「水を集めるために出撃するための水がない」って言われてるんだけど！？
　なにこの建設業みたいなジレンマ……。
「ビルを建てるためのクレーンを持ち上げるためのクレーンを設置しましょう」みたいなこと言ってるんだけど！？
　でも最初のクレーンがないんだけど！？
　……ねぇこれほんとに全部アタシのせいなの！？

　今は水が欲しくなったらタイトルに戻って訓練ミッションをこなして解決しています（水と弾薬とガラクタを持って帰る）。
　最近はそれを繰り返すことがメインコンテンツみたいになってきています。

　プレイするための資源集めの周回プレイ必須なの？　やっぱりこれスマホゲーなの！？
　そのうちリアルマネーの課金要素で水を販売し始めたりしないよね！？　プレイアブルキャラをガチャで引くとかセコイ商法もそれに踊らされて喜んでるヴァーチャルキャラ信者もイヤだから買い切りタイプのゲームしてるんですけど？　あれでもこれスマホゲーだったの？　……あれ？？

・詰め込みすぎた操作系が無駄に煩雑。
　プレイヤーの好みや状況に合わせて多様な操作や構えのカメラモードを用意しました、ということなのかもしれませんが、不慣れな私には不便。自動化してほしい。
　カメラワークのロジックも調整不足でけっこう障害物に埋まる。

[h3]〇まとめ[/h3]
　そのようなわけで「ダークでシビアで緊張感のあるゲーム体験を提供したい」と思って作っているであろうコンテンツが「シリアスフェイスでド滑りギャグトークしている残念なイケメン」みたいになっている状況に失笑を禁じ得ません。

　雰囲気はシリアス、アートワークも素晴らしく、シビアな緊張感をもたらすシステムが、その不完全さですべてコントになる……。
　死亡でロストしたショックより、バグみたいな仕様による事故に「やれやれ、またかよ」と呆れた溜め息とともにゲームを閉じているのが現状です。
　ゲームプレイによる緊張感ではなく、システムの出来の悪さによるストレス（直訳すると緊張）がすごい。そしてそれが苦笑（ときに爆笑）を誘わずにはいられない。
　……だから求めてるのはそういう方向の緊張や面白さじゃないのよ(笑)

　手に入れた（購入した）いい装備？　使いませんよそんなもの。使うとすぐになくなります。
　ゲーム体験？　没入感が削がれてばかりなので、自分のメンタルを「スカベンジャーごっこ」に保ち続けないとつらいです。
　ハイリスク・ローリターン？　ＩＲＬで十分間に合ってます。

　ＥＡのうちしかこんな挙動は楽しめないかもしれないから、いいゲームですよ、ある意味。
　よって、おすすめできません！(笑)

　ちなみにレビュー現在のバージョンは 0.9.2.2 だそうで。
　1.0で正式リリースするんですよね、きっと。
「10.0 まではＥＡのうちだから！」とか言わないよね？

　……おかあさん心配だわ。めっちゃ心配だわ。
　いっぱいレビュー書いちゃうくらいには好きなんだけど、歪んだ愛情になりそうで、おかあさんそこも心配だわぁ。

[h3]3/11 追記[/h3]
　訓練ミッションを繰り返し、水を使わずにすむ最初のトンネルをひたすら周回するうちに死なないようになってきました。
　同じ場所を何度も周回するだけのゲームなのか、という疑問はありますが、どっちみち敵性ＮＰＣも同じ場所を回るだけです(笑)。
　せっかく追記を書くことにしたのですが「おすすめできない」という点については譲りようがありません。

[h3]成長システムが鈍くさい[/h3]
　通常、多くのゲームはレベルの低いうちは成長幅が大きく（ために短時間で成長し）、レベルが上がるにつれ成長幅が小さくなる（ために同じ増分の成長により長い時間が掛かる）ように作られていると思います。
　このゲームも（プレイヤスキルとは別に）キャラのスキルや使えるアイテムに成長要素が絡んでいますが、この成長曲線が直線的で、かつ上昇角はとても小さく感じます。

・キャラクタのレベルシステム
　少々特殊なシステムで、長い時間をかけないと成長を感じられないことが初心者にとってのハードルを上げています。
　レベルアップは手動で操作する必要があり、現在のレベルごとに経験値のキャップが存在するため上限を超えた経験は無視されます。
　所持している経験値を消費してスキルを獲得が可能です。
　レベルを上げるとライフや速度などがわずかに上がり、覚えたスキルと経験値はリセットされます。
　このリセットにより、リグと呼ばれるバックパックが使えなくなることがあります。
　ふたたび経験を積んで、スキルを（再び）獲得し、上限になったらレベルを上げる……これを繰り返すことになります。
　……ダルいよ。

・商人と武器の習熟レベル
　複数存在している商人は、彼らの所属する勢力の評価によって販売ステージが上がり、取扱商品と割引率が増えてゆきます。
　パーツやアタッチメントの豊富な武器もありますが熟練度が低いと購入できず、その熟練度は基本、武器ごとに個別で設定されているうえ上がりにくい。

　この習熟度による購入制限が非常に面倒で、お金があっても買えず心が折れます。
　武器の熟練度を上げよう（その武器で敵を倒そう）と頑張っても、死ねばお金も（武器も）失って心も折れます（同じ武器が買えなくなるなんて序盤では当たり前）。
　どっちに転んでもストレスだよぉ……。

　たとえばＳＶＤという狙撃ライフルは習熟度をかなり上げないと倍率スコープをマウントできないため、高倍率スコープをつけたサブマシンガンで狙撃し、アイアンサイトのＳＶＤをサイドアームに使って経験を稼ぐ、という状況が完成します（これも爆笑要素）。

　長く遊んでもらえるように、という考えから生まれたシステムかもしれませんが途中でダレますし、レベル上げをモチベーションに周回するなら結局スマホゲーと同じこと（それどころか外見だけで推せる美男美女はいません）。
　これらは練りこみの足りない、あるいは設計思想が浅い印象を受けます。

　余談（ばかり）ですがアサルトライフルよりも（後発の一部の）サブマシンガンのほうが１発あたりのダメージが大きかったりします（リアリティを過度に求めるつもりはないものの）。

[h3]コンパニオン（随伴ＮＰＣ）は使わないほうがいい[/h3]
「爆笑脱出シュータ」における爆笑部分の大半を担っている我らがコンパニオンですが、外の世界に出てもろくな働きをしてくれませんでした。
　輸送・攻撃、どちらもお笑い担当です。お父さんからも何か言ってやってください……。
　トンネル内でもそうでしたが、お金と命が無駄になります。
　便利に思えますがすべてシステム側のトラップです(笑)。
　爆笑を避けるためにも使わないほうがよいでしょう。

[h3]障害物に気をつけろ[/h3]
　随伴攻撃ユニットは「近接戦の距離でないと撃たない」と（結構上のほうで）書きましたが、どうやらこのゲームは全般に障害物の判定についてガバガバの部分があり、その影響を受けているようです。
　たとえば「障害物になっている死体や骸骨のオブジェクトの中にスカベンジ対象のコンテナが埋まっている」なんていつものことですし、キャラが透過できるオブジェクトもあれば、透過しそうなのにちゃんと衝突するオブジェクトもあるし、見えない壁もあります。
　よって過剰に引っかかるオブジェクトがあるかと思えば、床抜けで転落死することもあります（とくに可動リフトに気をつけろ）。

　それが良いか悪いかは別にして、そういうシステムの粗が現時点ではある（それも大量に）ということです。
　我々を殺しているのはＮＰＣを含めたシステムそのものではなく、システムの不備なのです。

[h3]序盤の攻略はこんな感じでいいかも[/h3]
　念のため、目隠しします。

・訓練ミッション
　そうです訓練ミッションです。
　ダルいですが、必要なのは初期装備だけですし、クリアすればほぼ確定で水や弾薬、経験値まで手に入ります。武器の経験値稼ぎにもピッタリ。敵の攻撃を受けないよじ登りポイントもあります。
（水のタンクは二つあるので、１つをミッションクリアに使い、１つを回収すればよい。爆弾が欲しい人はそれもよい）

　初期装備でも訓練ミッションでは絶対に死なない、というプレイヤスキルが身につくまで繰り返して損はありません。
　装備画面で弾薬（おすすめはショットガン）と回復アイテムを少し持ち、メニューに戻って訓練ミッションをする。
　これを繰り返すだけです（ただし一部の商人の信頼度が、なぜか下がる仕様のようです）。
　……これがゲーム体験として素晴らしいかどうかは自分で決めるしかありません。

　ゲームを起動したら毎回訓練ミッションをこなすところから始めれば、だんだんシステムがわかってくるのではないでしょうか。
　ちなみに私は、いまだに理解できていません。

・装備を整える
　訓練ミッションを繰り返すようになると、装備を整えるところからゲームをスタートするのではなく、ゲームを終える時に装備を整える習慣がつくと思います（脱出シュータ界での常識かどうか、他を知らない私にはわかりません）。
　回復アイテムを忘れたり弾薬を忘れて出撃し、途方に暮れることも当初はかなりありました（それで高価な装備が失われたことも）。
　訓練ミッションを繰り返せば「次回出撃の装備を整えてゲーム終了」という習慣が身に付きます。
　地味ですが、とても重要なことです。
　私以外の人は大丈夫だと思いますが、私は何度も失敗しました。

・トンネルＡ
　最初のトンネルは水の残量が０になったりしなければ、水消費なしでプレイ可能です。
　まずは拠点まで戻る道（キャンプファイアのアイコンのほう）を覚えて、繰り返しプレイできる時間があれば、ほかの部屋やルートを探索してマップを把握するとよいと思います。
　敵性ＮＰＣがいても何らかの攻略法を見つけることは可能だと思います。
　ただしときおり重装兵がいたりしますから、その時はそっと逃げたいところです。

　ちなみにトンネルはだいたいＩＲＬの２４時間ごとに、自動生成されたベースマップが切り替わるように感じます。
　気に入らない配置のマップだと感じたらその日はプレイを諦めるか、ほかの場所を探索しましょう。

・敵性ＮＰＣは低能だが強力
　なので馬鹿にしていると痛い目を見ます。

　彼らはトンネル内の部屋で規定方向の周回しかしません。部屋ごとに決まっている様子です。
　中央に大きな遮蔽物があるような部屋では時計回りのことが多いので、入口で敵性ＮＰＣがいるかどうかクリアリングして、いない場合は部屋に左折で進入し（そのあとは時計回りなので右折で）回るだけで正面衝突は避けられます。
　トンネルの外でも一定のパターンがあると想像できます。

　良いか悪いかは別にして、そういう設計がされているゲームです。
　自分でも信じられませんが、今のところ例外のない事実です。

・敵性ＮＰＣの索敵システム
「？」マークの敵は、何らかの気配を感じている状態です。
　円周上のメータが増減し、最大になるとこちらに気づきますから、そのあいだに何らかの対処をする必要があります。
　発見されやすさ（メータの増加）は距離や装備やキャラ、姿勢などによって変化します。

　キャラにもよりますがスカブガールならかなり近い場所をすり抜けても気付かれにくいようです（びっくりするほど至近距離であっても、このゲームのＮＰＣはそのあたりガバガバです）。
　そういう仕様のゲームなので、遮蔽物にカバーしている自分の目の前にやってきた敵が眼前にいる自分を発見できていない（探索中の）こともあります（言っている意味が分からないと思いますがスカブガールでしゃがんでいると分かります）。
「射線が通っているかどうか」ではなく「相手がこちらを発見しているか（どのくらいで発見されそうか）」のほうが目安としては重要です。落ち着いてショットガンを放て。

　また高低差があると索敵能力は大きく低下するように観察されます。
　敵を排除したい場合、他の部屋に接続する通路などで高い場所があればそうした場所（の安全を確保して）から攻撃するのも有効です（もちろん無視するのも有効な手段です）。

・おすすめのキャラってある？
　スカブガール。移動が比較的俊敏で、敵に見つかりにくい特性があります。
　一方で打たれ弱いので体力管理は重要です。
　とにかく戦闘がしたい人や、もっとたくさん物を持ちたい人はほかのキャラが良いでしょう。

Okay, usually I don't write reviews. But I like what Forever Winter is trying to do. I want to love Forever Winter. Overall, I think the last Update and produce some great things. Maps are a lot more playable. I like the direction of the new scavenging system.

But oh my god, some the design decisions! What I'm gonna talk about are not bugs. They are intentionally included in the game.

I write this because Forever Winter is an exercise in frustration. It's one of the few games at which you want to throw my monitor out the frigging window. Because the game seems to be designed to screw the player.

Before I started writing, I wanted to have one last game. I want to visit the elephant mausoleum.

Problem one. You cannot play this map if you don't have travel drones.
Now I like the direction with the scavenging system. You're no longer scavenging to make money, you're scavenging because you need to build stuff. Great!

However, the looting system screws you over.
To build travel drones you need certain components. Fair. Including two LCD screens.
Some of them are hard to get. Fair. However, In the 50 plus games that I played, I found one LCD screen In Lost Angels.
Why would you design something like this?

To confound this problem, this also goes for enemy specific items. Like armor shards from EOD troopers. Or modular brawler spines. Now I like what they've done with the cyborgs. You kill a cyborg, you get cyborg only components. Great decision.
Why does this not apply to Brawlers, EOD troopers, or anything else?
Looted about a dozen brawlers, no brawler components.
A couple of dozen EOD troopers. Maybe one armor shard.
Looted a bunch of tanks. Only a rail gun component and random junk.

Just why? I swear I'll build three rail guns before I get to build a single travel drone.

If you do not have travel drones, the only way to reach maps like Elephant Mausoleum and Lost Angels is through the tunnels. Oh my god, the tunnels!
Not only is it easy to have a cheap death by falling down a pipe or cable, Or because you calculated your jump wrong because it's over the shoulder perspective. I play the old man, by the way..

It now has additional cheap ways to kill you. Now there's squadrons patrolling empty rooms. Why?
Now fair is fair, sometimes enemies do fight each other. But mostly they're just there, because... No camp or immersive world building. They're just there because of the reason.
And then my favorite, there are cultists who can two-tap you at any range, while your character is at full health with 1880 HP.

Then there are the drones that harass you while you are trying to not fall off a pipe. Not a terrible idea, but it's just compounded by the other patrols and the fact that the tunnels are extremely hard to navigate. This wouldn't be so bad if the tunnels were short. But they just go on "forever" and there are dead ends. Reminds you that meanwhile you're balancing on pipes while trying to evade drones. So expect to die a lot, very cheaply.

Now, in the game that I ran, before I started writing this review, I just really wanted to get a feel. Like, maybe the game does something that would Make me write something more favorably. Instead, it makes me, it reminded me of how the game screws you.

So just now I tried to go down the tunnels, ended up in various dead ends again, but I found nails. A resource that I really, really needed. So it's like, okay, I'm going to go to the next map and extract right away.

But no, says the game. It's a NIGHT MISSION. You're on the night shift! Just because we can.. You have no control over this! Scavs don't have watches, apparently.
My best experience with nightshift is to head straight for the exit and hope the game does not screw you. Unfortunately, that's too much to ask.

So, after spending god knows how long in the tunnels, I end up in the worst part of this game. The ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ night missions.
Now, Elephant Mausoleum is particularly bad because you can't see a damned thing because of a something that, I think, passes as a fog effect in an already hard to navigate environment. Even with a light, I could not see where I was going while cyborgs are lurking everywhere. And there are no enemies fighting each other, so all they focus on is you.

I was like, okay, no problem, maybe I can go around the trenches, which is pretty safe.
Of course, the game screws me again. And drop cyborgs right on top of me. I could not see where I was running to. So I got stuck on the terrain and I got killed by the 8 cyborgs the game just randomly decided to drop on top of me in the middle of nowhere. And this happened to me so often during Night missions, Why are cyborgs even dropped when there is no fighting going on?
I'm pretty confident that it's intentional. It's almost as if the devs started to realize people don't want to interact with the night shift. So they make you.

All those precious nails that I collected, gone. All the equipment that I brought, gone.
Also because the right components do not spawn either, I could not build recovery drones for a very long time. So yeah, I have no option, so I cannot retrieve the equipment that I lost. Fortunately, that's what I'm expecting now from this game, so I did not bring any valuable equipment.

If all of this gets adjusted in the next update, I'll revise my review.

I realy like forever winter. I think it has great potential. But it still feels very much like an early access game. Now many of the bugs seem to be out. It's been a while since I just dropped through the bloody floor.

But the night missions... What is the point? The core mechanic on which the game is sold is that you are lurking around fighting units. Then why does this game turn into half-arsed the last of us Where you have to sneak around cyborgs while I can't see a danmed thing.
Also, the sneak attack doesn't seem to work on cyborgs. Great stealth gameplay right there. What's the point of a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ stealth mission if you can't use stealth? Or am I understanding their intent entirely wrong and instead of a half-assed stealth mission, it's a half-assed stealth zombie shooter?
I did not even talk about the Grabber Then it'll spot you from a mile away or spawn in front, and then kill you.

So yeah, not a fan of the gameplay that the game forces you to engage with against your will. A lot of these frustrations could be remedied remedied by making travel drones a lot more accessible, and making night missions optional.
So can I recommend it?
Only two people I know to play with.
Quite frankly, at this point in development, Its a no.

The aesthetics and the theme of the game are great, but the execution is off.

There is a lot of needless busywork and grind, I don't feel like I have or will make any meaningful progress in any reasonable time frame. A few people mention 'the tunnels' and it certainly feels like a later edition and doesn't really gel with the rest of the game (the platforming sections are particularly egregious).

I'll probably won't return to this unless:
1. They can make the entry point into the game less tedious
2. There is better stealth, since that seems to be the core messaging of 'you are not that guy' but is pretty under baked.
3. AI and spawning is handled a bit better.
4. Rework the tunnels section, it is by far the worst part of the game and really highlights the above short comings.

Forever Winter has unmatched atmosphere, worldbuilding, and overall vibes. Honestly, there’s nothing else like it on the market right now. Every map feels visually different, and the design of the maps themselves as well as the enemy units and characters is top notch.

When you’re a single scav scouring the wasteland for resources and suddenly get caught in a crossfire between two sides - mechs stomping smaller enemies while bombers drop feral cyborgs onto the battlefield - the feeling of being in the wrong place at the wrong time is incredible. The game captures that chaos really well.

If you like Warhammer 40k, Stalker, post-apocalyptic settings and similar vibes, you will feel right at home.

The devs at Fun Dog Studios are clearly working hard and it shows. The recent update changed a lot of things like reduced build costs, shorter craft times, and a big improvement to the game’s economy. That said, I sometimes feel like every update takes two steps forward and one step back. For example, they reduced the cost of upgrading the Innards (your player base), but they also reduced the spawn chance of crafting materials, which kind of cancels out the benefit.

In my opinion the game is not very approachable for new players, especially those coming from other genres or people who aren’t used to “hard” games. And yes, unless you’re a hardcore player, this game can be very punishing. I know it’s supposed to be that way - it’s one of the game’s main selling points, and I actually like it for that. But new players might find it too frustrating, especially when the game punishes you for things that aren’t really your fault, like clipping through the map or enemies spawning right next to you.

Some characters are also very hard to play. For example the Bag Man, who is extremely slow, can sometimes fall to his death during the platforming sections in the tunnels. There are also situations where you get stun locked and deleted by enemies with auto shotguns, which basically forces you to fight them from afar. The gun system also feels like it needs a major rework, although I’m pretty sure the devs are already working on that.

You also have to remember that this game is still very early access. Some things will be bugged, some won’t be optimized, and some things will simply not work properly yet. The game can still feel pretty janky at times, and you will die a lot, sometimes even when you didn’t do anything wrong. Hopefully in the future most deaths will come from player mistakes (like going in guns blazing or picking fights with much stronger enemies) and not technical issues.

Despite all that, I believe the game’s development is heading in the right direction. Updates are coming out roughly every month or two and they usually add new cool stuff while also improving existing systems.

This game also helped me personally, and I don’t want to sound like a shill, but the themes of hope, struggling against overwhelming odds, and especially the music (which is honestly 10/10 - I haven’t found anything else like it) helped me deal with my depression a bit. Take that however you want.

Studios like Fun Dog Studios are pretty rare these days. They clearly have a strong vision for the game and I’m fully on board with it. It might take time, but I’m willing to wait for the ultimate experience.

I hope the dev team reads this comment even though it’s mostly positive. The community supports you and believes in your vision. I would also love to see more “Burst Transmissions” (the YT shorts from the Devs), since those are actually what convinced me to buy the game in the first place. They’re also a great way to show that the devs are listening to the community.

Keep up the good work, Fun Dog.

Great enviroment looks awesome keeps u knowing ur no one man army. Sneaking isnt a must but advised in areas i love it but its still buggy, likes to crash alot and joining up with other people can be glitchy sometimes. yes im still gonna play it but wouldnt recommend to someone until its a little smoother.

Ох The Forever Winter. Эта игра - боль.

Кажется я приступил к изучению этой игры в её самое лучшее время и выфармил целиком прямо перед обновлением 0.9.2.0.

При первом знакомстве с игрой у меня отвисала челюсть от зрелищных бабахов танковых снарядов и этих здоровяков - Медиум мехов, которые устраивают друг другу ФАТАЛИТИ на поле боя и в эти моменты становилось пофиг на всё, хотелось только досмотреть, как Европанский медиум мех разрывает Зубастика пополам над своей головой.

В целом при знакомстве с игрой можно реально залипнуть, но потом каждый последующий десяток часов чувствуется всё хуже и хуже. Начинаешь замечать, почему игра такая тормознутая, такая неоптимизированная, такая... тупая. Простите, но в какой-то момент уже понимаешь, что это не атмосфера, а реально неприкрытые недоработки разработчиков, которые наказывают игрока ни за что.

А ещё здесь есть Граббер, я называю его Грайфер (потому что играю с немецкой локализацией), но когда он появляется на карте, я называю его Yё6ище. Я, кажется, могу вспомнить только 3 случая, когда попка моей Скавмäдхен была успешно спасена от цепких лап этого Yё6ища. При чём 2 из этих случаев произошли на локации, где эта псина есть всегда и там можно приспособиться к его патрулю. Но даже тогда очко сжималось до размера "минус бесконечность".

А после этого обновления 0.9.2.0 игра сломалась вообще нафиг. Отряды "наказателей игрока" теперь появляются через 10 секунд после входа на карту, в то время как раньше надо было мозолить глаза своим присутствием перед враждующими фракциями / сделать выстрел из Mass или спы3дить кодекс.

Ухх, а кодексы теперь ничего не стоят, хотя раньше это был основной источник дохода. Теперь, кажется, вообще нет нормальных источников дохода.

И эта винтовка Mass, боже... Она и так попадала через раз в гигантских мехов, а теперь ещё появилась отдача. Знаете как выглядит эта отдача? Камера после выстрела просто мгновенно направляется ровно вверх. Я первый раз вообще не понял, что произошло XD.

В общем.
Если спросить, рекомендую ли я The Forever Winter, то ответ прямо сейчас - нет.
Я надеюсь, что игра преобразится в лучшую сторону когда-нибудь. У игры правда есть потенциал. Но пока мне кажется, что разработчики просто не могут в механику, а могут только в красивый визуал.

It was promising but after all this time i gave it another try and its on ruins, you cant join friends neither they join you through Steam, and their system ingame is just broken. A game like Dark Souls can give the player almost no info and succeed but an extraction shooter is not capable of that, getting your entire character ready for a run a task overly complicated by a clunky system that punishes you for even trying to understand it. Im not even going to start with bugs ingame, my welcoming in the tunnels was a flying bot that was shooting me through walls and going through the elevator like a ghost, in a game that the only thing that could have is immersion and lore, seeing first bugs like this is terrible. The game flooped, i really hoped it worked but after almost 2 years and the current state i think its over

你是真无敌了神人乐狗，第二版的水机制好好的下图也舒服大家也不用强制上线搜刮，在这个框架上接着更新内容修复bug就皆大欢喜了，先是加个又臭又长的傻逼隧道，新人在下图进那个棍母隧道绕半天躲开怪和没被傻逼跳跃判定致敬科比好不容易找到路了一看要当西西佛斯13把才能解锁服装商天都塌了，游戏内容是西西弗斯的，任务引导是棍母在引的，bug是不修的，嘴是硬的，冯是飞上天的，这版本更是神的没边，哄抬物价，砍任务收益，没有榴弹和连喷怎么处理外骨骼和斗械这种血牛，非要在那个死老冯的隧道里加个棍母售货机，我下C隧道十几把没见过你这个棍母售货机，人物等级也是神中神，能硬吃完你那个50级的过程也是神了，就你这春节刚过完就马上赶着过清明节给自己老冯上香的活全家运营我上一次看见的还是逃离塔科夫，乐狗小时候原本正常坐车就能回到家，有一天小区告诉乐狗今天开始进小区只能钻下水道还要收钱和通关文牒，结果乐狗拿不出来就只能当徒步丽丽走几十公里回家，走在路上还被一车欧亚面包人一顿暴揍被打的半身进icu，等解决完又被欧罗巴人派的猎杀者众神之父赐予我视野追杀了半天，好不容易解决完所有问题在傻逼下水道里迷了半天路一脚踩空掉进臭水沟里致敬传奇机长黑曼巴身上的东西全送给在天上的老冯子，终于历尽千辛万苦回到家发现家里米面粮油蔬菜药什么都没有跑去商人那里什么都买不到，最后饿的走不动路还找不到药嘎巴一下死家里了

This game is pretty much what i wanted an dystopian horror sci-fi game to be like.

In it's current state i'd say it's an roughly cut diamond that still needs major polishing, bugs here and there can still be noticed (Flying tanks my beloved) but overall i have huge hope for the games future and looking forward to it's continued development.

Overall, one of a kind game in my honest opinion.

本作の最大の欠陥は難易度ではない。
思想と実装の断絶である。

この世界は重い。
暴力は不可避で、生存は偶然ではなく選択の結果であるべき世界だ。

しかし実際にプレイヤーを殺すのは、
戦略の誤りではなく、未成熟なAIと粗い設計だ。

理不尽とは「厳しさ」ではない。
因果が成立していない状態を指す。

数時間の緊張が、
不完全な挙動ひとつで無意味になるとき、
それはハードコアではない。
単なる未完成だ。

本作はプレイヤーに覚悟を要求する。
だが自らは、その覚悟に応えるだけの完成度をまだ持たない。

それが最大の矛盾である。

■総評

本作は思想を持っている。

PvPに重きを置かず、
世界そのものを主役に据える姿勢。
これは明確な選択だ。

しかし、世界を主役にするなら、
プレイヤーの体験は「没入」を最優先に設計されるべきだ。

現在の設計は、
没入よりも消耗を先行させている。

過酷さは思想だ。
窒息は設計ミスだ。

EvE的緊張感を志向しながら、
その洗練には到達していない。

本作が求めているのは、
ハードコア層ではなく、
世界観に浸りたい成熟したユーザー層のはずだ。

だが現状は、
その層に対して過度な疲労を強いる。

これは方向性の問題ではない。
完成度の問題だ。

■気になる点（構造的欠陥）

・ロードの多さはテンポを断ち切り、緊張の連続性を破壊している。
・日本語翻訳の未熟さは、世界の一貫性を崩す。言語はUIではなく世界観の一部だ。
・序盤設計は「資源不足」を演出しているのではなく、単に選択肢を削っている。
・モーションは重量感を演出するが、威厳を伴っていない。重さと鈍さは別概念だ。
・コスメティックの薄さは、ゲームへの投資意欲を削ぐ。
・NPC挙動の粗さは、この作品において最も致命的な欠陥である。

Je n'ai pas l'habitude des "die and retry", mais là je déguste. Quelle frustration ... On monte son personnage, on l'équipe de loot plutôt sympa ... On run le "tunnel A" 20x (ou 50) pour consolider son stuff et sa trésorerie. Tuto ok. Puis vient la mission pour chercher de l'eau. Car notre communauté en a un besoin vital, et nous sommes mandaté pour cette tâche.

Je suis chaud. L'ambiance est tellement réussie ! Mais je n'étais pas prêt ... On doit sortir du "tunnel A", celui qu'on a ruché 20-30-50x, et on tombe dans une zone de guerre ouverte entre faction : des mecha, toutes les factions qui se livrent à des tirs soutenus. La première fois qu'on découvre ce champ de bataille c'est impressionnant car magnifique en terme de production vidéoludique. On est projeté dans une bataille immense, et nous ne sommes qu'un rat dans la poudrière.

Mais nous au fait ? Bah c'est le bisutage : on meurt ... Pas vu l'hélico = salve de roquettes = on meurt. Pas vu le mecha en plein combat avec un autre = machinegun = on meurt. Pas vu la colonne d'infanteries s'engouffrant dans votre tranchée = raffalle de balles = on meurt. On meurt. On meurt. Oui. Et on revient à chaque fois à notre base, sans stuff, sans équipement, sans l'Xp gagnée le long de notre douloureux périple. A chaque fois on se retape le "tunnel A", on se refait le chemin, on galère, pour arriver sur cette zone infernale. On meurt. Quelle frustration.

Ceci étant, c'est un jeu où l'ambiance est tellement bonne, la direction artistique au potentiel énorme, des graphismes magnifiques, une optimisation poussée (rtx5080 ventillo au repos, tout à fond). Bande son réussie et immersive.

Je suis sur la version 0.9, je sais qu'il y a eu du chemin parcouru et qui reste du chemin à parcourir. Mais ... Je rejoins les nombreux commentaires :
- l'IA est encore buggée. C'est tout ou rien. Parfois des troupes amorphes. Parfois ils vous shoote à 20m avec une précision diabolique.
- L'IA est trop scriptée. Les rondes sont toujours les mêmes, aucune initiative, c'est cyclique. D'un ennui ...
- L'IA n'est pas en capacité de s'organiser, se cacher, faire des stratégies. Dès qu'ils détectent la menace, ils attaquent "bêtement" d'un feu nourri.
- L'animation des personnages est à améliorer, pas fluide, trop saccadée.
- La difficulté est vraiment mal dosée. Le plus souvent c'est une galère pas possible, notre niveau de menace est trop élevée. En dehors du tunnel c'est VRAIMENT infernal. Trés difficile, c'est un carnage. Le multi-faction nous rend cible de tout le monde, mecha, patrouille, aéronefs. Le plaisir s'y perd à l'usure ...

Je rejoins aussi les autres commentaires demandant une base de jeu solide (IA, difficulté, animation) que plutôt diriger l'énergie du studio sur l'ajout de contenu. Le contenu devrait arriver après la consolidation technique du jeu à mon sens.

Car il a vraiment l'âme pour être une réelle future référence. Mais il y a encore du boulot …
Et oui je recommande ! Il reste du développement, mais quel potentiel !

Would be a great game, but it needs some things changed.

1. Map changing and movement through it:

How the game works is that you have the "Inards" as your home base and you have to travel through the Tunnels, which change from time to time, so you're not going through the same map time and time again, to get to an open map were the conflict is happening between the factions, which sounds like a good design on paper, but gets annoying when you're just trying to get to the conflict zone. You can end up wasting a lot of resources trying to get there from enemy spawns, or filling up on loot, or the route to the map is cut off so you have to go back and try a few times to get the map to change. Once you get there it's not easy to get back cause you spawn on the opposite side of the map from the extraction, so you can't just turn around and leave to get back to the Tunnels.

2. Enemy spwan points are terrible and lazy.

The enemies in the Tunnels just sit in one area and walk in circles around the room or figure eights and will respawn them if you get too far away from the area. In the conflict zones there are enemies constantly spawning on or near the extration points, so if you run out of ammo you have to try and run through a mob of enemies, which doesn't work out that well in a tight cordoor/stairs with large chunky unable to walk by hit boxes and they have guns with a highly accurate aim bot.

3. Terrible AI Recruits:

AI allies are more likely to get you killed then help you. They are unpassable walls due to you being unable to move through them and they won't step aside, which in the tight spaces they can completely block your exit off. The only way to get them to move is to command them to move, which in a situtation where you're in a fire fight and trying to take cover, or trying to run away quickly gets you killed. I've had them pin me in with enemies coming at me because they like to stay close to you. The worst of the recruits is the Mule, which you can't tell to move and it's big. It will constantly cut you off in cordoors and teleports near you when you get too far from it causing it to instant transmission behind you and bump you off a ledge to fall to your death, or have it spwan in near a mob of enemies and aggro them only to drag them to you.

4. Guns aren't balanced.

There multiple guns types in this game and it boils down to Shotguns and everything else. They all feel the same and don't seem to have damage drop off and you usally just use semi fire mode to be more accurate to shoot from a distance and shotgun them when they get close. Sniper rifles just feel like slow firing ARs, SMGs feel like ARs, Handguns feel the same as Snipers... just slower firing ARs. Grenades have a throwing guide line that tells you if you're going to hit something, but when thrown it will still hit objects even though it's showing you green.

After a year of waiting and retrying the game i have come to the conclusion that while the aesthetic is still phenomenal really this is saddled with broken fundamentals that will likely never be adressed. So little has been done that i have to wonder where the money and time were spent. Crudely pathfinding AI groups are spawned in and shuffle around as they stare you in the face without detecting you. Clearly detection rate and distance are nerfed into the ground because they coudln't figure out how to combine level design and the ai required to make their fantasy of skulking around a warzone scavenging for goods work and it actively harms immersion in a game where that is a vital aspect. Drones and helicopters still routinely sink into the floor and stay there, there are literal physical holes in the new tunnel system where missing walls let you jump out of bounds. Player movement isn't so much stiff as it is janky with grappling especially freaking out as the engine tries to decide what edge on a terrain model it's trying to connect the animation to, resulting in your camera and character shaking violently. The game supposedly is at version 0.9 now, in its jank and broken state.

Издалека выглядит не так плохо, на видосах прям выглядит интересно и хочется зайти поиграть, но когда доходит до дела понимаешь насколько это топорная и кривая игра. На самом деле жаль, я всё же надеялся что у разрабов получится самобытный экстракшн, но получилось как всегда.

This game is way to punishing for failure. And most the time failure is not because of player it is more on the game itself. For game like this, movement is extremely important. And This game's movement is just god awful. There is this weird pause every now and then. Also got stuck on some strange collision. Talking about collision , I have fell thru ground quite a few times. Which make me wonder if dev has test the game at all. I only got the game after the latest patch. Apparently enemies now spawn in tunnel which wasn't the case before (I could be wrong here, not sure about this) Which is fine, but the thing is that tunnels are usually pretty dark and filled with fog. There are so many times that I got hit but I can't see anything because of environment and the fog. Vision on enemies is also weird for me. Sometimes I can get really close to enemies and they act as if they don't see me. Sometimes I see a little pixel far away and that pixel starts shooting. And this water mechanic makes little sense to me. Water supposely quite important for home base. But is required if you want to fast travel to different region. And from what I can tell , minimum requirement is 2 water. But for new player dying means losing everything and waster of 2 water which if goes under a certain limit , vendor would leave. But even if player successfully pass the map and return home. You can only carry 1 water until later you get an upgrade to your rig. So you lose out anyway which forces you to go thru tunnels. But Only the first tunnel is free, if player starts on any other tunnel, it cost water and if player fail, you lost out on everything. This causes a spiral and really bad for new player. While on the subject of the loot. Why do I need different bag / rig to pick up broken weapon ? it is broken piece of metal. There are quite few more things I would like to point out. But I am too fed up to carry on. This game has potentials , but it is small things like this that makes new player such as myself quite difficult to get it.

You are small and weak and not the main character. This game was sold as a sneaky looter shooter where the world did not care if you lived or died.
Back when the AI was bad, you could play as a rat sneaking away and looting without shooting a single bullet.
You can no longer do that!

If you are looking for a grungy Halo game made by modders where you need to fight your way through all maps as a regular person for little loot, you might enjoy the current state of the game.

I want to be specific about the problem: this game cares about you, the war field wants you dead. You are not just a part of the world; you are the hero, and all three factions want to kill you specifically.

I want to love this game, I want it to be awsome, but it in no way feels like what was promesed all thos years ago.

Not gunna lie, the tunnel system kinda ruins the feel of the game, you have to fight alot of squads just to get to the damn map you wanna actually be on. The layouts are confusing as hell, I was having a pretty hard time just trying to find the exit, Game was alot better without this. or at least make it clear where you need to go for the exits, and reduce the amount of patrols. i mean it all sounds cool on paper, but in practice its annoying as hell. Was looking forward to getting back into Forever Winter after a good time away but i think i'll hold off a bit longer. Never even got to see a map, Screw the tunnels.

Невероятно красивая игра. Дает прочувствовать ужасы войны, если наблюдать за всем со стороны.
Геймплей по факту довольно аркадный, это не какой-нибудь гтфо, где ты будешь ползать, а потом ползать, а потом еще ползать. Возможность убить все живое в этой игре есть, хотя для крупной дичи нужно будет поиграть подольше, чтобы получить доступ к такому оружию.
Очень надеюсь, что игра будет дальше развиваться. Впервые так сильно меня что-то зацепило своим концептом. И даже сложно сказать: было бы лучше, если игрок будет шнырь курьером или если он останется шнырь курьером с железными яйцами и массивным уроном по всему живому.

В игре есть чувство некоторой сырости, но будто бы и не мешает получать удовольствие от слова совсем.
Дорабатывать, конечно, есть что, но уже сейчас это очень интересный проект и вполне гирабельный. Для любителей лутать полную жопу 120кг лута однозначно рекомендую. Особенно этот процесс классно разбавить находясь в центре перестрелки трех фракций.

Ганплей в целом окей, но больше звуки стрельбы с некоторых пушек доставляют.

Ich wills echt mögen... aber das Spiel tut alles dafür nicht gemocht zu werden. EA schön und gut.. Kinderkrankheiten wie glitchende Gegner, schwammige Optiken und FPS Drops aus der Hölle etc nach so langer Zeit immer noch nicht im Griff zu haben wirkt einfach etwas "faul" vorallem wenn gleichzeitig neuer "Content" kommt. Der keine Inhalte aber Grind und Frust implementiert. JA Tunnel ich sehe euch an.. Das ist klassisches "gut gemeint ist nicht gut gemacht" die Theorie dahinter hat sich auf dem Papier bestimmt toll gelesen.... zeigt aber auch das die Entwickler wohl kaum Ihr Produkt selber spielen.

Die Atmosphäre ist super allerdings bricht die Immersion alle 2 Ecken aufgrund glitchender Gegner, schwebender Soldaten die vorwärts Moonwalken (btw warum laufen alle Humanoide genau gleich.. gleichschritt ist ja schön und gut.. aber 8 mann die perfekt synchron über den boden glitchen ... naja kann ja mal vorkommen... aber ist eher die Regel als die ausnahme)

Die Steuerung ist vermutlich bewusst schwammig gehalten um das Gefühl des "du bist kein Soldat" zu verstärken was letztlich aber in 99% der Fällen einfach zu unnötigen Toden führt weil man im Grunde nicht gegen die Gegner sondern gegen die Steuerung kämpft, die wenn man es schön reden will "klobig und schwammig" ist

Summa Sumarum, hier steckt wirklich viel Potential drin. Liebe entwickler kriegt den EA ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ in den Griff... dann neuer Content.

I was being sold on a game where I wasn't "That Guy". I was sold on a grunt fantasy. I was sold on a game where I had to be wary and aware of the tides of a battlefield I was far from welcome on. I was sold a setting where everything is scary and I'm a nobody who has to figure out how to live in it.

What I got was a game where being "That Guy" was delayed about an hour from the start. Janky ai, which I excused as this is basically a fundraiser+testing mix. I was given a battlefield that doesn't seem to progress at all whether I'm there or not. And it's not just a cool gimmick of "oh it's stalemated, just like a real battle could be!", it's just, nothing happens, nothing goes on. You hear big booms, you see lots of vehicles and shooting but... It doesn't change a thing, nothing goes on, vehicles and foot troops don't go past certain points, they always spawn in the same areas.

About 2 hours in I could fight just about any enemy save for the big big vehicles.
About 3-4 hours in I could fight everything with a very good shot at winning.
5-6 Hours in I win every fight and nothing scares me because I am "That Guy"

I hate to be so critical of a game still being developed and in testing phase. But it just doesn't live up to what I was sold like... at all. It's not tense past the first 2-3 missions. Firefights are meh at best, you can't really take cover, because the ai is janky and will hit you regardless. You can't really stealth because the enemy will hear no matter what. Looting is bland, there's no real strategy to it, just a weight bar.

Resources aren't sparse or really required for too much outside of guns. Money is gained so quickly I had everything in my rather short playtime. Movement feels a little lacking all things considered. And the last negative thing I have to say is just... You're "That Guy" no matter how you try not to be, you're "That Guy". No matter the artificial difficulty you set yourself, you will be "That Guy"

Save your money if you want the idea of the game they want to sell you. But buy if you're just a fan of the theme and have some time to burn and money to spend

One good thing tho, omg the theme and atmosphere. 10/10 on all that

You will see negative reviews on here stating that the devs don't care about player feedback, and that they only make the game worse but if you look at any major controversy in the community, the devs have directly addressed that pain point in some fashion:

People didnt like the IRL water timer - They scrapped it
People didnt like that you couldnt use the railgun solo - They released a solo HK killer
People didnt like the Tunnels - They just added a credit based fast travel that lets you bypass the tunnels
People didnt like the con foam grind - They eliminated the con foam grind and reworked the economy
People didnt like IRL Timers - They didn't completely get rid of them, but they reduced a bunch of times

So from there you can see that the dev's actually listen to feedback and make changes. And they will continue to make changes if they need to be made.

I feel like a lot of the negative discourse from this game stems from a complete misunderstanding of what the game is supposed to be. People get mad about the stealth mechanics, because they think that the game is supposed to be a 100% stealth game; like a looting version of splinter cell or MGS. But it's not. This is just people taking the you're not "that guy" and the "think before you shoot" premise to it's extreme.

Enemies come in groups and are very accurate. Most enemies are well armored, so unless you are just as accurate with your shots, you can get melted by just a couple of grunts. Especially close range. This encourages you to not get into fights with every group you see, and to pick your battles. But ultimately there's always going to be times where you have to shoot your way out. That's the developers intention. You can't play 100% run and gun agressor, and you can't play 100% stealthy guy/non agressor. You will have to be able to mix it up at a moments notice and I love that about the game. You're always on your toes.

I haven't seen this comparison here yet, but I feel like it's fair even though played out. This game is like a souls game. It even has the whole "running back to your body" mechanic if you die (if you die, you leave a tombstone which is your gear that you went into the run with minus ammo, loot, and medkits). But the reason I say that is not only for the way that combat and enemy interactions should be approached, but in the way that you will have more success if you treat every situation like a learning experience.

Health is just a resource. Death is a is a chance to grow and get better.

Taking time to learn maps, routes, loot drop locations, loot tables, are all things that you will have to do on your own but feel rewarding. The nice thing also is that because of the structure as an extraction shooter, you can go on just one or two runs a day, and it will still make a difference.

Now there are still some issues. Biggest one across the board at the moment seems to be animations. There are a lot of half baked/janky/not complete animations that need to be improved. It doesn't make the game unplayable, it's just noticeable and can make the experience "less smooth".

Second one I would say is the AI has a tendency to get "confused" and change objectives very quickly. This can cause it to stand around looking "dumb" but as of writing this review, I have played the game every single patch since I purchased it and can tell you that the mechanics of the AI (its response to stimuli, how it responds to aggression, co-ordination with teammates. The "I" in AI) is a loooot better than what it was. So it's a shame that this problem of changing objectives can still overshadow that work, but I'm confident it'll get fixed.

Third would be performance I guess. The reason I say "I guess" is because I haven't ever really had major major issues with the game. It was definitely crashing a lot more when I first got it, but the game is way more stable than it was then. Additionally I have about 8 friends who all have the game and they have a wide range of machines, from potato rigs to almost as good as mine. I understand that's anecdotal, but so is anybody else's 2 cents on performance here.

Overall I think this game amazing. is it perfect? No, but the vision alone has kept me entertained for over 400 hours. I feel like its impossible to be mad at a game that costs 30$USD and gave me 400 hours of enjoyment.

The crazy thing is it's still EA. that means more content, more polish, and more to look forward to. The dev's have already proved they will deliver. Look at their update history. Just a matter of time. And when they do, ill be at my computer ready to enjoy.

I then had to pay resources to fast travel to the location because I didn't want to make the journey again only for it to crash again not refund the resource. try to get to an extraction point, don't bother you will only die and lose all your loot.

the game designers should try playing their game, not just sit back and fantasize how great their game is and fix these issues.

又试了一遍，这逼游戏的运营是真的逆天，你要么走之前必须往自己的包里面狠塞步枪弹药，不然根本没法应对管道里面的无人机，并且更新之后这NPC的ai索敌也逆天的一批，要么像个瞎子一样你站在身边都看不到，要么像西蒙海耶隔着几十米就朝你集火，并且移动出生点的设定也真的一坨大的,探索和收益根本不成正比，新手好不容易攒了一波去外面收了点垃圾回来，结果回去一看发现地图全特么不对劲，是个人都绷不住，这制作组如果还是这个贱样那真的死的越快越好。

I would really like to recommend this game. The atmosphere and aesthetic are incredible. Nothing quite matches it. It has so much potential to be a legendary game, but it has a long way to go.

I don't mind the progression being a grind, but it feels strange to not be able to find what you would think would be pretty common items based on their names. The movement doesn't feel very good, and I find myself getting stuck on geometry way more often than I would like. I think the worst thing to me, though, is that enemies seem to care way more about you than they really should.

They apparently have their own goals, and are busy with this whole endless war thing, but the moment they see some ratty scavenger trying to just navigate past them they're stopping everything they're doing to shoot at you and you only. They don't care about the other faction that is still shooting at them (only because they haven't also seen you yet) they only want you. You are enemy number one to every single faction, apparently.

Not only that, if you manage to take out the enemies trying to kill you, or you're kitted up enough to go out of your way to start gunning them down of your own volition, they're just going to respawn in a few short moments, and probably within eyesight.

Yes, the game is supposed to be difficult, because you're not supposed to be a soldier. You're not that guy, as the developers say. But it shouldn't feel like trying to use stealth is useless because there are so many enemies on every square inch of each map, and that there's also absolutely zero point in trying to clear out any enemies. It feels like the only way to play the game is to go in guns blazing, loot for about 20 seconds, then run away as the respawning enemies are showing back up just to do it again.

I will continue checking this game out as it updates in hopes that it feels more like the game it should be, but I couldn't recommend this to anyone else right now.

No just no . It is always one step forward 6 steps back . This game frustrates me more than souls-like games . The water mecanic was annoying , back now i wish the game was back there again . The tunnels prevent you from playing the game , you have to go through it everytime you want to head out in the world you spend 10-15 minutes to run the same and same again tunnels for reaching the map you wanted to go . The controlls are cluncky (always was) , the spawns and mob behavior are just stupid and/or buggy . You get one time spotted and shot through obstacles or even doors , and the other time the pass you by without spotting you at all .
The only thing this game has going for it , is its creative art direction and presentation . But your hideout and the world in general stills feels empty and not lived in .

This game is great for how early in development it is. Unfortunately the latest update (0.9.2) is terrible. The economy is completly broken. Tunnels is even more pointless now that there are almost no containers to loot, and the containters that do spawn have the lowest value garbage in them. And now the volume system rears its ugly head, It's almost impossible to fill your backpack weight wise as volume will run out far quicker. Also makes certain characters and rigs extremely frustrating to play with. Also every enemy can now see you in 0.5 seconds, which makes stealth nearly impossible.

Just lost all 300 hours of progress due to a lone shotgun water thief that stun locked me in Innards. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND do not waste your time with this game! Wait untill it is in 1.0. Don't even bother before hand. Devs really hate the players and I dont understand why. Whoever the trogolodyte is that came up with the player stun lock mechanic should never work on another video game ever.

This game feels like it's just designed to punish the players. Every update they come out with doesn't even compliment the game, nor does it really complement the player. The game is supposed to be about sneaking around the enemy and little combat contact as possible. But with the tunnel system, it pushes the players to go into combat with multiple enemies, That seemingly can take you out with just a couple of shots when it takes you about a magazine and 1/2 just to takedown 1. The latest update that they just came out with is an absolute joke and a disaster, Prices have spiked up. The loot crates have seemingly disappeared and scattered all over the place. Added more enemies in the first tunnel system That you explore in the beginning of the game, which makes it increasingly harder for a new player, or any player with a new game to try to get themselves set up. Not to mention that every enemy that you come across seems to be a Navy SEAL marksman. They never miss, they always hit, no matter what you do. This game sucks, pure and simple.

I cannot recommend this game in its current state. The addition of the tunnels system was a mistake. This game's strengths are level design, art design, and emergent gameplay between AI factions. The tunnels are procedurally generated slop, they look bland and repetitive, and you only encounter one faction at a time. Add to that the forced platforming, including timed dodging of environmental traps, and a bunch of your playtime is the game at its absolute worst.

Add to this ongoing issues like the lack of narrative content, randomly spawning quest objectives wasting runs and time, the faction system being basically vestigial, and ongoing performance and technical issues, and the game is probably in a worse (if more complicated) state than it was a year ago.

Its a damn shame, this game has great ideas and has a lot going for it. I'm writing this review specifically *because* I hope they read it and change course. Please lean into emergent stealth (causing enemies to fight one another and create opportunities), the bespoke designs of the surface levels (as opposed to more procgen content), and start making lore accessible through things other than grinding Lordoss cigarette quests.

Can't currently recommend this game as it is. Enemies are damage sponges / hyper aware in a game that makes you the underdog in all situations, as well as level-ups and meaningful unlocks taking a little too long to get. Some weapons also have very little meaningful unlocks and are useless compared to other weapons. Game is fairly unoptimized, IMO, though that could just be the high system spec requirements.

Hopefully this game gets better, because I'd like a Tarkov or Arc Raiders that is PvE only. This game could be that if they made some tweaks. A lot of work has gone into this game, and what is here is solid right now, but not amazing.

I keep coming back after large updates hoping things have been fixed, but this last time I tried I could not join friends via steam or epic, could not receive or send invites, and could not even join random squads. After getting a hard crash that somehow changed my monitors aspect ratio in windows it got uninstalled again. I sure would love to know how all the changes and balances affect the game but until I can actually go back to enjoying it with the buddies that won't change much.

Game runs well in most maps, tunnel and inwards with frame gerneration.
The grinding is crazy, recommand using mod.
It focus on survival but in late game you stock up enough gears to fight as well.
Some one hit kill bosses are annoying.
But all-in-all, fun and not the usual soilder game you play. More in the line of this war of mind.

ただ直近(2026/2/20)のアプデでトンネル内に大量の敵モブが出現、無限湧きするようになり地上マップより危険になった
それに加えてコンテナ数も激減したことにより物資を集めることも非常に困難になってしまった
これでは「物資を集めて地上への出撃に備える」というトンネルの意味がほとんどなくなっているように思える
まぁ　理不尽を楽しめ　っていうのがこのゲームなので現状を飲み込むしかないのは仕方ないとは思う

改善なり上方修正なりするまで戻ってこれんな、こりゃ
アプデ前はそこそこ遊べてただけにこれはきついですよ、雰囲気はすげぇ良いんですよこのゲーム

Yeah tunnels is not fun, spend 15min get to tunnel D, dies , lose every thing .
I can carry one water , so fast travel to the first map is always a net lost
This is not fun , you got punish so much you have no incentive to get to the surface where one plane that drop the drone can and will kill you if you unlucky
once you are spotted , all ai enemy regardless of the faction hone in on you so fast it's not funny
Edit : this game is a dead end, you can't progress, pestige the character give you 40hp and reset all your skill, die and lost all you have on you. in the end , what do you get when you complete a run , thing that will lost when you die

This game is absolutely phenomenal for what it is - a beautiful, artistically crafted man-made hell. You will not find anything even remotely as interesting visually anywhere else, and the gameplay, theoretically, supports the core features of the game well. Stalking near enemy forces, looting them after they kill each other, drawing one enemy group into another while you take out the survivors sounds really fun, and sometimes it IS. However, in practice the game is full of bugs that are deadlier than any enemy, the quest system is barebones and the progression system is not balanced well. A lot of people are upset that the update made the economy much tougher, but before the update you could get absurdly rich just grinding the first tunnel you spawn in over and over again, and there was little reason to farm for money in more dangerous locations, only for unlocks and high-level weapons and NPCs.
I have hope in the devs, they seem to be going in the right direction with the gameplay part, albeit slowly, and the artistic direction is so gorgeous and such a breath of fresh air that I honestly don't care about much more balanced and polished extraction games out there, since I've seen all they have to offer many times in countless other games.

I've been waiting a long time to write this review. I wanted to give FDS some time to polish the core gameplay mechanics, clean up the AI, gunplay, etc. But after playing for several hours last night, I think that the core gameplay can't save this game if they keep going down this route of game design.

Let me get to the point. The core problem with this game is that what is stated on this Steam page contradicts the way the gameplay actually works. According to all of the advertisements for TFW, you aren't supposed to be a very important character. You are a scavenger among three armies and several other factions, all in a never-ending war with one another. You are supposed to sneak, and avoid combat. Yet the game makes that nearly impossible. Especially once you get outside of the tunnels. You might make it for a few minutes topside. But inevitably, the game's going to spawn a damn enemy patrol right in front of you. Just yesterday, I was climbing through the window of what looked to be an empty building, according to my tactical radar, but the second I crossed over into the windowsill, a whole squad materialized 2 inches from me, and they all aggroed almost immediately. Now, this shouldn't be a huge problem, as you do have weapons and are encouraged to defend yourself. However, the more you shoot military units, the sooner the game sends in a Hunter-Killer unit to basically wipe you off the map. So yes, if you defend yourself from enemies that won't leave you alone, the game penalizes you. If you do it too many times in a round, not only do they send HK units after you, but your reputation goes down for all factions! Normally, your rep would only be knocked for the faction you engaged with, but at this point in the round, killing any unit out of self-defense ruins your rep with everyone!

So, wtf Fun Dog? Make up your minds. Are we scavengers meant to hide and forage and use stealth, or are we "That Guy" that we aren't supposed to be (according to your own promotional material)? I want to love this game. On paper, it reads like a dream project for me. I just wish the devs could figure out what the hell they want this game to be. Right now, it's just frustrating and obnoxious.

Update 0.9.2.0 закончил мой интерес.
Минусы - оптимизация ,- гейм дизайн уровней ,- отвратные генерация туннелей (визуал) , - отсутствие контента (зато платные скины с бубами это норм ), кривое исполнение механик , слабо связанный гейм-дизайн карт с поставленными задачами и еще куча всего....
Плюсы + Красиво и атмосферно выглядят карты поверхности ( но только выглядят) , + Интересный сетинг.
В итоге мы имеем продукт художника ,что не может ни в баланс , ни в гейм дизайн ,Но благодаря анрилке 5-тому это красиво.... и не оптимизированно ).

В данный момент неиграбельно, буду ждать пару лет, слишком много багов. Половину моих смертей было не по моей вине - спутники заспавнились сзади меня и заблокировали проход, противники бесконечно возрождаются прямо перед тобой, после анимации стана застрял в текстуре и тд.

Нет баланса геймдизайна - 1 ошибка = 1 наказание. Попался в стан, умер, начал анимацию хила которая длиться 5 секунд и не прерывается во время боя, умер, неудачно начал атаку, умер. При этом ты теряешь весь твой лут, спустя 7 часов игры попал в софтлок, где у меня нет ничего, вынуждая гриндить самую первую локацию бесплатным набором за копейки

П.С. Дал шанс и поиграл еще немного, багов стало еще больше по мере продвижения прокачки. 2 дня потратил на СЮЖЕТНЫЕ квесты так как не падали предметы, пока не узнал что разработчики сломали игру прошлым патчем и квестовые предметы перестали выпадать, пришлось ждать пока их не починят. Начал выполнять задания Лордосса, где за сигареты он даёт деньги и он тоже забагован. Мне заплатили только 10000 из 1000000, а этот костыль был специально сделан для новичков чтоб они не застряли в самом начале игры. В итоге занимался бесполезным гриндом со сломанными квестами, со сломанным ИИ противников и неработащими механиками игры.
В идеальном сценарии, нормальные разработчики должны выкупить эту студию, доделать код , починить игровые механики, улучшить управление и тд , а эту команду поручить руководить музыкальной и художественной составляющей. Единственное что бесспорно можно сказать это атмосфера, арт и музыка - высший класс. Несмотря на баги буду дальше играть , потому что «Любовь зла, полюбишь и козла»

[h3]Когда художники выпускают игру[/h3]
Я покупал FW как интерактивный артбук с надеждой на большое будущее игры и был в восторге. Визуальная составляющая и сама идея игры просто восхитительна! Мы имеем недалекое будущее с тремя воюющими фракциями, основанными на Европе, Азии и России. Эдакий микс из Ghost in the Shell, Terminator и Highfleet в одном флаконе. Где игрок играет за четвертую фракцию - бомжа-мародера со всеми вытекающими. И тебе как-то надо выжить в этой бесконечной войне и найти водички на вечер.

[h3]Когда разработчики не играют в свою игру[/h3]
Вся вышеописанная прелесть разбивается о суровую действительность - ни одна игровая механика не работает как положено. С даты выпуска игры FW до сих пор ощущается как ранний альфа билд. Да, разрабы добавляют новых мобов, новые карты, новое оружие, новое, новое, новое... но самые базовые вещи просто не работают! А я уж не говорю о таких вещах как баланс и оптимизация, которыми не занимаются на ранних этапах разработки. Местные пистолеты-пулеметы имеют большую отдачу чем автоматы при меньшем уроне. Снайперские винтовки вроде СВД и Винтореза (местный "Выхлоп") ощущаются обычными калашами с урезанным количеством патронов в обойме. Персонажи имеют прокачку в виде заглушки "прокачай престиж 50 раз" и выкачаешь топовый навык +10% к лечению аптечками и 5% скорости бега (~100 часов на персонажа как минимум). Справедливости ради, у них была идея сделать разных специалистов вроде разведчика, спеца по тяжелому вооружению и т.п. Один из персонажей робот "Пушкоголовый", который рассчитан на ведение боя по нескольким целям сразу, по факту не может пользоваться аптечками или как-то починиться и... является самым хрупким и уязвимым. Новый апдейт повертел экономику так, что теперь рисковать совсем нет смысла: во всех солдатах абсолютно рандомный лут от сигаретной пачки с зажигалкой. Любой контейнер с лутом разбавлен мусором так, что в медицинском ящике может быть одна аптечка и десяток бинтов (материалы). В итоге, чтобы убить солдата вы тратите патроны (может быть еще и аптечку), чтобы поднять с него сборник анекдотов. Однако! А чтобы игрок не скучал, разрабы придумали все квестовые и необходимые для крафта вещи умножить на 100. Нереально скучный гринд.

Сам игровой процесс представляет из себя просто рандомные побегушки по картам, чтобы поднять квестовый лут. Центрального сюжета нет, поэтому всё выглядит как ММО на минималках - убей десять кабанчиков, принеси десять железной руды. И вам еще необходимо не попасться в лапы криворукого AI, который, кроме как нарезать круги на одной точке, способен взять только числом.

Стрельба отвратная, сюжета ноль, противники не интересные, игровой процесс откровенно скучный. Картинка красивая, но тормозящая. Рекомендую к покупке ARK Raiders, который по всем параметрам лучше, но он PVP.
Разбудите меня через 5 лет, если что-то изменится.

With the recent update the game just got a lot worse, and I really hate this Tarkov like mentality where they make the game harder with each update. I was fine with the whola drone quick travel system eventhou it made the game much harder for new player, I was even fine with not being able to extract from Tunnel 3 and 4, so you had to go above ground onto very dangerous maps with your hard earned loot because it makes sense (no it doesn't), but this new vendors sells nothing even on max rep is just out right insulting. Why have vendors from different factions now that your rep means nothing? Just make them all Scavs at this point and you can basically threw out the rep system too because it means a big ol nothing at dis point. The game was hard enough before, no need to make a pain to play. The only good thing this update brought is the decreased price for some of the Innards upgrades which were really expensive and grindy. Right now I can't recommend this game at all.

Devs seems to be consistent and listening, and updates are coming regularly. But buy only this one if you want to be part of some kind of an alpha testing ground.

Внешка очень атмосферная. Для раннего доступа игралось вполне себе с удовольствием. До последнего апдейта.

Те кто тут был раньше недоволен что не хватает трудностей в игре, это явно упоротые фанаты Таркова. Сейчас наверное с удовольствием потирают руки. А по мне играть стало совсем душно. Да даже просто патронов выпадает теперь мало и в основном ненужных, тратится больше чем ты их можешь купить, можно скрафтить, но устанешь искать материалы для крафта, потратив ту же кучу патронов. И какой идиот вообще придумал, что у продавцов нельзя купить сколько хочешь патронов?

Я в игры играть с комфортом люблю, а не страдать. Я и Таркова, которого тут поминают многие, снес из-за вечного страдания. Вот те кто наныл эту духоту тут и валили бы в свой Побег. Не знаю кто тут король через 10 минут, я вот еще последнюю точку не открыл, а мне уже после апа последнего стало душно в это играть. Хотя может для коопа и нормально, но я люблю соло играть.

Tried it on EA release and quit, but knew that they were releasing it early in a pre-alpha state at player's requests. Came back way later with this new update and the core gameplay loop still just... sucks. There's so much to like about the world and setting, but the game's unceasing jank pulls you right back out of the immersion.

Full auto fire in first person has tremendous recoil and muzzle flash, supposedly evoking the idea that we're not trained soliders, just scavengers... but also being given quests to take out giant super-death mechs and to kill 15 enemies in a single raid. Are we supposed to be killers or not?
Setting a gun to single fire introduces an artificial delay so you can't tap fire at a reasonable pace, it's very sluggish. Burst fire is sometimes 2 rounds at sluggish pace, sometimes its a pleasant 3 round burst, but this varies randomly, even with the same gun between maps. It might be tied to framerate or ping?
There's a location in one of the early maps, Ashen Mesa, where there's just infinite spawning cyborgs. If you have a scanner, you can just watch them pop into existence a few feet from you.
They removed the real-time water system (which was a bad system) but still measure water in "days", which makes you think there's some timed system still left, but there isn't. Why not use some other resource, like gas or oil, for fast travel?
Weird inconsistencies like artwork showing traders, but they aren't present in the world. There's a brand new character, the Bartender, who has his own artwork. His ingame model is just... some regular survivor, doesn't match the character at all. I was willing to forgive that inconsistency when the game first came out, but this is a new feature with the recent update...

Don't even know how I wanna end this review. The devs seem passionate about the art, the world, the vibes... but they put that all on a really jank foundation. At least I can say they are making some art here, I'd rather see this than Highguard, which is the polar opposite.

i like the idea of the update but clearly was not tested.

first tunnel has almost nothing to really loot if your lucky on your rolls. had more runs of no loot containers than with loot containers.

the static loots like explosives, rig light, and lockbox are still the same which is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ wild to me.

absolutely no water in the first area which makes it hard for newer players and compound the fact enemies RESPAWN after leaving a certain distance and there being more of just 1-2 groups like it was prior update

skills are borked because i was using a scar and i am trained to use it only the game to say no im not then to proceed to die by firing squad and my health & stam are set back to lvl 1 prestige even tho im lvl 16?????

i have to reset my sensitivity every single time when i enter any map because it switches to default aiming which is slow.

guns you pick up mid raid just vanish when you leave so forget trying to upgrade your arsenal

AI seem to know where your at all times which makes stealth runs impossible

there's probably a few other ones i haven't seen yet but until theres a patch would not recommend as of now

Trying to come back to this game, however the Ai knows exactly where you at at all times and rubber bands to you. As well as the water issue. Listen the mechanic is sound however whenever it comes to if i want to go to a map as a new player i use all my water than come back with only 1 each time even with mission completions it uses all of it. When i get back to base and that is if i do i do not have water to spend to upgrade my base. Then if i do die i have to go back through the tunnels and than back to the map where i cant i go through the same cycle. Mission objectives are clear however would be nice to see waypoint or a location to search and than find it. Where as there isn't one. Than again if you do die you gotta go back through the tunnels all over again. I like the concept as having come back to the game for almost over a year now however this isn't it.

The tunnels are an absolute disaster. Are they flavorful ? Sure. But they're also designed to FORCE you into combat in a game designed around avoiding it. In every tunnel map, you HAVE to fight several squads of enemies because there are no physical ways of bypassing or sneaking by them. It just becomes a complete slog, in a game where every bit of equipment you bring with you counts and you have to carefully balance out. Additionally, it also tanks your faction reputation, which the entire trading system hinges on.

They also updated enemy agression, and it has gone from 'you can sneak by if you're careful' to 'both sides will dogpile you from across the map'.

In short, the game has gone from an enjoyable, tense game of having to balance stealth, profit and combat, saving your fights for when they count, to a janky TPS shoot them up where you have to gun down everything you come across or they'll laser on you and turn you into swiss cheese, no matter what you do.

Edit : They've also massively increased the price of items in the shop (including making the 'free' extremely low tier surplus ammo cost a pile of money, so that there is literally no free loadout anymore, and massively increasing the price of all ammunition so that it costs fortunes, and decreasing the amount traders will seel you), decreased the sell price of all valuable items, and massively diminished the spawned rate of finished products in the game world, so that you are forced to engage with the crafting system. Except that the crafting system :

1. Requires you to bring mountains of random miscellaneous items, which is no longer viable as they have massively increased the backpack (rig) space ANY items takes, meaning you can take far less back with you.

2. The crafting system is REAL TIME BASED. Crafting a SINGLE MAGAZINE of assault rifle ammunition (something you blow through in less than three seconds of shooting on full auto, which believe me you will be doing a LOT when you get rushed by squads of soldiers or hordes of cyborgs down in the tunnels) can take up to THIRTY REAL LIFE MINUTES. THIRTY. This is ridiculous, and is a massive step back, returning to their gacha mechanics of the first water system, where it tied everything to IRL time, including wiping your account if you 'dared' not play the game often enough.

Ever since the tunnels the game got boring. Not worth the long walk to reach a map. Remove the drone for fast travel, keep the water. Having to go through tunnels every time to get to a map? What if tunnels was a map on its own? I rather pay water than to use a drone AND water to get there. Maybe later in the year it'll get better.

The game was promising and despite the sensation of being too barebones, it held promises worth believing in. The atmosphere and design for both characters and the environment is on point, you can really immerse yourself into a desolate world ravaged by an endless war.

However, a year and a half later, the game still feels like an early Alpha. The animations are so basic and clunky for both the Players and AI soldiers. The animations do not match the speed, as if we are glidding. Pathfinding is as simple as it can be, they don't try to take cover or spread out, it's a basic aim or crouch aim, shoot and then ragdoll on death. The factions at war with each other seem to form an alliance if you get spotted or loot too much and will know exactly where you are and chase you through the entire map. The physics is still questionable, with players getting stuck on small objects or enemies simply phasing trough walls or the ground itself. There is an endless amount of bugs. And the fact that this game is not well optimized during this worldwide PC component shortage is not good eiter.

Sadly I think the developpers are trying the wrong path with adding new content instead of fixing the issues that are ruining the immersion. I still hope they can turn this arround.

It's promising so I won't negatively affect the review score by rating this negative but I will admit I won't be playing it more until it has a little more time in the oven especially in regards to the AI behavior, gameplay loop, and HK system a stupid idea that doesn't belong in a loot extraction shooter, you can still fulfill the trope that there are always bigger fish without entirely removing the only mechanic that allows you to traverse the ruined battlescapes of western America without instantly having your brain aerosolized by any grunt with a gun that was just shared the battledata of your location by any nearby HK unit, or being bisected by a Euruskan Stalker sprinting mock chicken from across the map while making negligable noise even just a few feet away from you.

I love the vision, and this game has come a long, long way from when this was first released for early access, but in my opinion it still has a lot further to go before I'll come back, wish you the best of luck as this IP is some of the coolest stuff artistically I've seen in a video game but it really is just an art project as of the December 2025 update; however I am Forever Excited to see what you come up with.

February update edit/addition:
I cannot help but feel that the changes to the overall loot pools and sudden reliance on crafting do anything but harm the game in it's current state and it acts like a negative feedback loop to do massive sweeping changes to loot and where it spawns whilst also completely eliminating the feasability of purchasing from vendors by drastically increasing the cost to do so. This also acts as another negative feedback loop for the addition of the garage where after you finally grind out the materials to complete it and eliminate the oh so hated water/drone cost to fast travel it replaces that cost with credits. Couple this with the HK system still being in place rewarding you when you finally do find a decent haul in raid with instant death from proximity spawning Stalkers, near instant labotomizing from EOD's, and every unit near them still being shared your location.

I like the in universe explanation for these changes, but having a good explanation for objectively bad changes (at this point in the games development) can only do so much, and in my opinion these massive changes to the economy needed to happen after you've fixed how the game plays at a fundamental level like fixing AI behavior, re-balancing HK's so that it makes you feel like your truly being hunted instead of having NPC's that just know where you are at all times, and I can already feel the explanation behind this being if the scavs have access to something the the Tac scanner why wouldn't the fully supplied and armed superpowers of the world not have them on their most elite assassins, the reason being is this is supposed to be a video game first, not only that but as playtesters we are supposed to voice our opinions on things like balance and overall feel; and this frankly just feels like a mechanic shoehorned in to reinforce the aforementioned trope of you not being the biggest fish, which could be accomplished as I said before in much more meaningful ways other than railroading the player with an ever present invisible hand of death.

I really don't want to have this be a negative review, however some of the changes made in the last few months (tunnels and more stuff to build in your innards) has made this game really really grindy. I think to the equivalent of World of Tanks and/or Warthunder. To where you have to go through the tunnels to attempt to find your way through (good luck) to the next map AND find stuff to build in your innards. Which ends up being several 15 minute sessions on many different maps and tunnels all for you to make 1 small mistake on any of them and you lose everything that you have scrounged for that session.

While the game looks great and the scavenger aspect is as well the rest of the game needs a lot of work still.

PROS:
This game is really unforgiving (which I do enjoy, still nowhere near as difficult as GTFO)

Planning out when you are going to engage the enemy or not and figuring how to get out of bad situations

Devs kinda somewhat listen to the community(ish)

CONS:
Crafting system is EXTREMELY TEDIOUS

Building ANYTHING in your innards to help flesh out certain gameplay aspects is a great idea, just not when it takes you FOREVER to find anything to be able to build anything

Really janky movement (worse than HALO: CE) floaty jumps, getting stopped by a pebble while moving, janky terrain, not very clear movement/clamber areas

Once you have all of the weapons you need you can ALMOST be a one man army, which defeats the purpose of the game.

The game is more of a fantasy role playing art piece than a traditional video game. You can play it min/max'ed and with other humans but the true expereices for me came when I had a valuable piecce of a questline in my possession and an entire battlefield filled with huge unstappable machines. I am just running from cover to cover and hoiping that they don't reaction shoot me, bored shoot me or just shoot me like someone swatting a fly at a bbq. The game has issues, weapon balencing, character abilities, these things will need work. Will you have fun? Absolutely, crawling around in the "skynet" future from the Terminator francise is probobly the best way to describe it. Only there was no John Conner and you are not him.

This is Arc Raiders for adults, without PvP and with a truly post-apocalyptic atmosphere!

Because Arc Raiders bored me and the rats annoyed me, I took a look at this game. Arc Raiders is increasingly degenerating into a colorful children's playground, if only because of the outfits, and you absolutely don't feel like you're traveling through a post-apocalyptic world.

The Forever Winter, on the other hand, is darker, more oppressive, sometimes a little creepy, and totally conveys the feeling of a post-apocalyptic world. This is definitely not a colorful children's playground. You are a Scav living in tunnels, managing your hideout, managing water supplies, gathering loot and water and fighting different kinds of postapocalyptic enemies. You can decide wether you attack them or if you sneak by. The hideout is like Speranza in Arc Raiders but you can move around and interact.

The weapons are reminiscent of real models, and you can choose between different weapons. You can aim using the sights, which I find much better than in Arc Raiders.

The music is great, the graphics are at least as good as those in Arc Raiders. Performance is sometimes good and sometimes bad. I'm running at 1920x1080 with maximum settings on a Ryzen 7 7800X3D, RTX5070TI, and 32GB RAM at 70-140 FPS. In some areas it runs great and in other areas the FPS just drop. Sounds are unfortunately bad. You often don't even recognize when you get shot because you do not hear the gunshots. You also don't feel like on a battlefield because the sounds are just strange.

So far, I haven't had any problems with the game, but since it's an EA title, you have to expect bugs.

What I don't like so much is that you have to choose from six character classes. These have slightly different characteristics. I would have preferred to create my own character, because I just think that's better.

I also don't like the in-game menus. Everything seems somewhat confusing, and I don't like the design. At first, you feel overwhelmed because you don't know exactly what to do or where to go. It should be made more attractive and user-friendly.

If you're tired of the colorful and rather childish Arc Raiders with all its PvP rats, you should definitely take a closer look at this game. It has a lot of potential. The price is fair, as there is already a lot of content.

It has lots of potential but they still have to do lots of work. At the moment I cannot really recommend buying it. I hope that they will finish this game but the current state is not that good.
