I just finished the first chapter and honestly I’m enjoying this game a lot. I don’t really understand why it got so much hate back then. I actually bought it around 2020 but never played it because I had other games on my list.

People should accept that there is no such thing as a perfect game. I know Square Enix rushed this game to launch, but if you’re a Front Mission fan you’ll probably enjoy playing it just to experience the universe.

The game does have some cons. For example, there’s no takedown feature even though many missions rely on stealth. Also, the Koshka voice constantly saying “caution, enemy approaching” can become annoying after a while.

About performance: many people said it runs badly, but for me it’s been perfect. I’m playing at over 100 FPS on ultra settings and haven’t experienced any bugs or glitches so far. The aiming, gameplay, and crafting systems aren’t the best, but they’re not awful either. I actually like the UI and the graphics.

I think when people get overly hyped for a game, they end up hating it more when it doesn’t meet their expectations. That happens with a lot of games. You shouldn’t judge a game only by what people say you should try it yourself.

So far I like the game and I’m going to keep playing it. There’s also a feature where your decisions matter, and some NPCs can live or die depending on your choices. The game has its pros too, so it’s definitely not all bad. It’s better to listen to feedback, but also try the game yourself before judging it.

I thought this game couldn't be that bad. I saw the Rerez video and thought surely it couldn't be THAT bad....but I was wrong. It IS that bad. You get promised a game about the human side of war and all you get is middling gameplay and some of the worst anime tropes in a long while - Mikhail is a completely and utterly useless character and that bozo with his baseball analogy had the worst case of anime villain-itis I've seen in a LONG while; I mean, probably everyone at this point has noticed that any piece of media these days come with a dripping lack of sincerity that shows itself in the way of endless quips, Reddit "humour," dumb dialogues and self-referential jokes that never end, right? The worst examples are, of course, in Marvel and Disney movies of recent years, where characters constantly quip about the things that are happening around them in ways that feel completely unnatural for a person living in that world, and that baseball scene is just that.

At least Olga's nice. This game would've been better off if she was the sole protagonist. I could've tolerated the janky, middling gameplay and even the World of Tanks ad nonsense, but Mikhail just singlehandedly kills the game for me. Take that JRPG, shounen ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ and stick it where the sun don't shine, Square Enix.

This is the real first AAAA game in the world. I love the way that all the missions are just sneaking past the same bland robot enemy who will stop pursuing you if you get further than 20 feet away. And don't even get me started on the mechs. OHHHHHHH boy are the mech really something. It feels so good to control it's camera, the way it lags behind your inputs and has to speed up over time. The combat feels super intuitive as well. The pistol is a little too OP but other than that it's just great feeling guns. The story is gripping, the characters are super interesting, the way that every villain you meet just randomly lets you live instead of killing you right then and there is super good writing. Thank you Square Enix, for this masterpiece of a game...

LEFT ALIVE™ es un juego de [b]Acción[/b] en tercera persona que intenta venderte la fantasía de “guerra moderna con mechas, sigilo y supervivencia” en un solo paquete… y sí, también viene con [b]violencia y gore[/b] para que no olvides que esto es “serio” (guiño, guiño). La propuesta suena brutal: moverte entre tiroteos, escabullirte cuando no puedes ganar y sobrevivir en un conflicto militar con robots gigantes rondando.

La primera impresión es la de un título que quiere ser muchas cosas a la vez: shooter, sigilo, supervivencia “realista” y hasta “las elecciones importan”. Y en un juego de acción, cuando intentas abarcar tanto, normalmente terminas apretando nada… pero al menos te deja claro desde el inicio que aquí vienes a [b]improvisar, sufrir y avanzar como puedas[/b].

Si te prende la idea de [b]mechas + guerra + tercera persona[/b] y no te molesta que el juego te mire a los ojos y te diga: “vas a adaptarte a mí, no yo a ti”, entonces hay curiosidad. Si vienes buscando acción pulida y consistente… trae casco.

Pero si eres exigente con la consistencia en un juego de acción, aquí vas a notar las costuras: el intento de ser shooter, sigilo, “realista”, arcade y “decisiones” en el mismo plato puede dejarte con la sensación de que el juego [b]no siempre sabe qué quiere que seas[/b]: ¿soldado táctico? ¿fantasma? ¿sobreviviente? ¿todo al mismo tiempo? Sí. ¿bien amarrado? Mmm.

I can understand why this game has mostly negative reviews. It is a low-budget title that doesn't fit neatly into any particular game genre. You might say it has an "identity crisis," but I would argue that Left Alive knows exactly what its identity is and it fairly succeeds at achieving it. Is it a stealth game like Metal Gear? Is it a mech game like Front Mission Evolved or Armored Core? Is it a third person shooter? Is it a survival/crafting game? Games like this that don't fit neatly into any box always tend to get mixed reactions from audiences. And if they are janky and low-budget on top of that, you have a recipe for a "Mostly Negative" rating. All that said, Left Alive is one of the finest and most refreshing gaming experiences I've had in a while. It is a game about surviving a war. Of course, in this war you'll be moving across war-torn sections of the city amidst futuristic soldiers, drones, and giant mechs. The game has many unique mechanics that make all this interesting, first off, I love a game that doesn't hold your hand, and apart from the occasional tutorial. The game will give you objectives, but not tell you how to approach them or achieve them. Missions can play out in different ways and objectives can be even be skipped or failed. In the second mission for example, I got spotted when I was near where I was supposed to meet some survivors to help them evacuate, as I ran away enemy soldiers flooded the area searching for me and found the survivors and executed them before I could even meet them, meaning I got an "objective failed" notification when I discovered the bullet riddled corpses. Because save points are few and far between and because combat is so dangerous and resources (like ammunition, explosives, and crafting items to make improvised weapons) are limited, the game requires you to be very methodical. Often, you'll want to establish a "home base" in an area of a mission map near a save point (save points often have healing stations with limited heals and an item storage box) where you can go to save, craft, store excess loot, and refresh yourself safely before heading out to gather loot, scout enemy positions, thin their numbers through stealthy ambushes, or make your way to an objective. Another neat feature is that you can leave items in storage boxes and the storage boxes don't share inventory, but since you play as three different characters, another character can come through and take items you left behind as another character. Enemies also respond to the player's actions. When they spot you or fight you on the map, they'll send reinforcements to the area and step up patrols making those areas more dangerous to traverse. You really have to think like an insurgent by using improvised weapons like IEDs and improvised turrets and combat avoidance, only meeting the enemy on your terms. But, also you tend to get no reward for actually killing enemies (you'll almost always expend more ammo than you'll get back), so combat is best avoided whenever possible. But, yeah, the game is very janky and low-budget. Animations are stiff and limited. Graphics are dated. Sound design is bare bones. Combat is half baked. The camera and controls will get in your way from time to time. Aesthetically the game looks good, great futuristic military vibe, and the snow covered war-torn city with Christmas decorations still up really does look quite beautiful at times. But, many areas and environments are reused heavily and/or copy/pasted. The mech designs are really cool (Takayuki Yanase is a great mech designer). The story is interesting and having 3 different perspectives on it is cool, even if the voice acting and script may be a bit cringe at times. Overall, I adore this game. To me, many of its cons are minor or endearing. And its innovations, unique gameplay, vibes, slow pace, and story are intoxicating. But, if you are looking for a polished, well crafted, carefully curated, and non-stop action or pure stealth oriented experience, you'll be disappointed.

I really enjoyed this game.
I played through the whole game on Casual difficulty and it was pretty fun. On Casual, stealth is optional, and you can gun through every situation. The enemy AI is hilarious. They RUN AWAY FROM YOU! Their behavior is funnier than guys in Tenchu Z. I like the characters, story, mecha, and the many documents that give me world info.

The game isn't perfect however.
-There should have been at least twice as much mech combat.
-The enemy has SILENT HELICOPTERS. Silent... Helicopters... They have some amazing stealth tech to make helicopters completely silent.
-The crosshairs are bad in close quarters.
-World of Tanks is extremely out of place.

My response to other negative perspectives:
-"The game is too hard!" Play on a difficulty you can play at. You're a casual gamer, so play on Casual difficulty like me.
-"The framerate is bad." Not for me. I have an RTX 3070 and playing on Ultra graphics with a perfect 60fps.
-"Crashes" I didn't experience any crashes on Windows 11.
-"Bugs" I didn't see any.
All other negative reviews are opinionated about some things, or don't list any reasoning for how they don't like it.

This game is a giant disappointment and a waste of talent. Nevermind that you can barely get the game to run, if you manage to play it you'll be met with some of the most infuriating escort missions, (granted they're optional) unsatisfying gunplay, laughably bad animation and horrible AI. The game is also horribly optimized at the moment, running this on a RTX 2080 TI and the most I've been able to get the FPS at is 30-50. I'm also willing to bet that at the moment the game is unplayable if you're trying to go for a perfect stealth kind of thing, since you're almost required to kill enemies for any sort of resource that can be put into weaponry. Despite this , running and gunning is instant death, at least during the beginning chapters. This game has potential, but it's probably too far gone to fix anything.

Esperei anos pra ter a oportunidade e um PC decente, mas cara nem no LOW consegui uma FPS decente... isso porque jogo num notebook com RTX 3050 e nem um outro game até o momento tive problemas ... mas esse aqui me decepcionou, coloquei no LOW e ainda tava muito travado... Left Alive has its flaws, but I'm going to give it a recommended. If you enjoy the world of Front Mission and are not locked into its turn based tactics gameplay, I think you can enjoy this game. The atmosphere is terrific (assuming you turn off the ridiculous World of Tanks DLC ads). Wanzers feel quite imposing when on foot, which you don't get in the mainline games.

After reading about the difficulty I decided to play on an easier setting and it felt a bit too easy, but I could easily imagine it quickly becoming too hard. Late game Wanzer combat, which is similar to Front Mission Evolved, is the only time I had a slight bit of trouble on the easier difficulty.

Enemy combat reactions are a bit goofy, and it does have some crashing issues, but I enjoyed my time in Left Alive. Maybe wait for a sale though.

Is this worth $60? Absolutely not!
But I will say, that this game feels like a game that came out at the wrong time in history. This game would have been great released in the Xbox 360 era. This is a game with a mixture of elements that doesn't quite get it right.. It's like randomly throwing ingredients into a soup hoping it will turn out good, and it doesn't overall. However, when you start to get some pieces out of it, you can start to taste what Square Enix was trying to cook with this. It's like that one festival in Stardew Valley where everyone throws in ingredients hoping to make the dish tasty... even though you threw in great 5 star quality ingredients, others threw in something that came out of the sea. A little bit of RPG, choices matters, third person action game, stealth mechanics, and large mechs... Some elements of this game taste good, while others still need to be cooked more. Like rendering out the fat on a steak.
Don't buy this full price, but check it out on sale around $5 or $6 dollars if you want a throw-back to a 360 era game that feels lost in time.
This is my positive review on a mostly negative game.

Was excited to play this, but after consistent UI bugs, frame drops, janky gameplay, and a crash, I was over it.

I'm the one person who gets excited to play these b-movie type games, and even I thought "Man this is kinda just... bad. Not even bad in a good way, just... bad." Disappointing. I'm glad I got this for $6, it means when I have more tolerance I can play this in the future and try to mod out the issues I was having. Should you play it? Probably not.

You'd think a game pitched as Dynamic story based on your actions and choices, stealth based third person cover shooter with mech on mech and mech on human combat would be an incredible game wouldn't you?

They crammed Alpha Protocol, Metal Gear Solid & Armoured Core into a single game but didn't polish each part enough.

Do yourself a favour and remove both Crossover DLCs.
Goto "Manage DLC" and Untick both of them.

The game has awful controls, 60 FPS cap, texture pop in on ultra, random frame drops at the start of cutscene, half baked cover mechanic, no restart from last save.

It feels like an indie team that got hold of the MGS Engine but wasn't taught how to use it at all, the reusing of levels without unlimited sprint or sewers to speed up movement across the city you'll spend over an hour just back and forth without hiding or combat because of how the maps are designed, several road blocks won't show up on map so you'll waste your time walking 15 minutes in a certain direction only to have to loop around to get to the location you wanted.

Gadgets are mostly useless, molotovs and grenades deal barely any damage, cans and bottles have too short a throwing distance, wire traps aren't useful enough as guards don't patrol enough.

Shooting feels awful and is practically unusable with the movement bloom, the sniper is easily the best just due to it's high damage.

Story is kinda average and scarily similar to the Ukraine war even down to the symbols on the tents and the flag colours of blue and yellow.

Dialogue choices are awful, how does the "are you okay?" prompt turn into "what's wrong with your head?! are you ok?" in a negative and condescending way for example.

Voice acting is somewhere between mid and good, some of it sounds and feels awful but there's other interactions which feel human and less scripted.

The Mech combat is easily the best part of the game, it feels like they wanted to make a Mech game but development broke down and it had to be turned into something different than intended.

The graphics, art and style are the main hook the game has from the outside(mechs not withstanding) and it looks like the FOX engine with more special effects added to it.

Overall the game isn't the worst thing i've played and the few interesting bits keep it from dropping below a 3, maybe 3.5/10.

If they had:
Buffed movement speed/unlimited sprint
Added more Mech combat
Lowered movement Bloom
Increased gadget damage
Made chat options more clear
Not done any collab DLC

The game would probably sit in a solid "bad but good" rating.

Meh. It has some potential, but it's not for me. Level 1 was easy as can be. Level 2 is insanely hard even on the 2nd lowest setting.
1) Poorly ported console game with bad menus and bad PC interface. Map is unusable and the "Alert"/"safe" zones don't match reality.
2) Too many things you can craft (in combat while getting shot) and you wind up having too much diveristy of ineffective weapons.
3) Graphics are okay - playing at 1440p/2k with an Arc B570.

LEFT ALIVE это вторая игра за последние 2-3 года, которая мне понравилась, несмотря на ужасные обзоры на площадках от игроков и игрожуров (если такие еще остались). Первой такой была Wanted Dead. И в очередной раз я убеждаюсь лишь в одном, если ты хочешь что-то оценить, то пощупай это сам.
Что из себя представляет LEFT ALIVE? Это тактический стелс экшен, выживач, с олдовым графоном позапрошлого поколения (времен 360 и PS3). Под управление игра даже заточена под плойку, хотя и отлично играется с клавой\мышью. Сразу стоит сказать, что к созданию игры приложили усилия такие деятели как Тосифуми Набэсима, который работал с франшизой Armored Core и Ёдзи Синкава, человек подаривший арт дизайн в большинстве частей Metal Gear Solid. Отсюда получаем ядерную смесь - вселенная Front Mission+мехи+тактический выживач, приправленный клюквенным, но интересным сюжетом с твистами, драмой в стиле Кодзимы. Одним словом японщина, но добротная.
Небольшой сюжетный синопсис. Есть вымышленная страна в сеттинге стран СНГ, в которой начинается война. В центре всех этих событий оказываются три персонажа - штаб сержант Михаил Шувалов, пилот новичок меха (в данной вселенной их называют Ванзеры), капитан полиции Ольга Калинина и Леонид Остерман - повстанец, участник освободительного движения. Каждая глава это игра за определенного персонажа. Иногда они будут пересекаться по сюжету. У всех свои мотивы и задачи, но есть общая цель - Выжить и узнать правду из-за чего все началось.

Касательно геймплея. Он здесь делится на три категории. Первый наземный - то есть все то, что происходит на своих двоих. Стелс, прямое столкновение с противником, крафт предметов из всякого хлама, лутание патронов, оружия, квестовых предметов. Второй - сюжетные выборы, несущие последствия. Да в этой игре есть концовки, и чтобы на них выйти нужно совершать выбор в диалогах с ключевыми персонажами в игре. Более того, в игре есть обычные нпс выжившие, с которыми есть своя механика. Во-первых при встрече с таковыми их нужно отвести из точки А в точку Б, попутно защитив их от врагов. Во-вторых некоторые нпс так же будут Вам не доверять, и здесь важно правильно вести с ними диалог. В третьих некоторые нпс иногда будут давать побочные квесты, которые нужно выполнить, и только тогда они пойдут с Вами в убежище. Ну и третий тип геймплея само собой битвы на мехах. Они достаточно хорошо выполнены, чувствуется тяжесть управления, импакт от стрельбы. Мех может поднимать оружия поверженного меха.
Небольшой совет - играйте на максимальной сложности с ходу! Отсюда перехожу к ИИ вражеских ботов! На макс сложности прикурить дадут, мало не покажется. Обнаруживают и убивают быстро, давят количеством плюс ко всему имеют большой запас здоровья. На сложностях ниже начинается цирк с конями. Враги в упор не видят тебя, если ты на средней дистанции пристрелил кого-то в голову, но при этом если ты подкрался незаметно к одному из врагом и ушатал того холодным оружием, сразу же поднимается тревога. Своеобразный ИИ, но и по своему местами забавный.
Личное мое ИМХО касательно саундтрека. Во время кат сцен музыка подчеркивает серьезность сюжета, тут как бы ОК. Но две музыкальные боевые темы на всю игру, тут я считаю, кто-то пожадничал на композитора.
Визуал мое почтение! Игра прямо передает атмосферу внезапной войны. Разрушенные улочки города, надписи на стенах абсурдные местами, названия магазинов и других зданий, архитектура выглядит на мой взгляд достойно.

Итог: LEFT ALIVE средняя, но крепкая игра на любителя. Ее основная проблема, это оптимизация. На слабых карточках она не будет работать, проверено лично! К сожалению, Скворечники пытались продвигать ее как очень крутой проект, но на старте увидев, как игра провалилась, они просто бросили ее без всякой поддержки и патчей. Отсюда имеем. что игра есть у очень малого количества игроков в Steam. Немного лучше дела обстоят у нее на PS4, судя по мануалам прохождения и гайдам по зарабатыванию трофеев. В общем если Вам нравятся такие олдовые вещи, у Вас хорошее железо, и не пугает, что игра полностью на английском, то по скидону рекомендую.

P.S. 80+ часов в игре провел, но так и не понял к чему была колаба с WoT, и кто кому заплатил по-итогу

セールでかなり安くなってたから買ったけど正直バグだらけでびびった。流石に製品として成り立ってないレベル。所持品の個数が見えないって結構致命的じゃないですか？心の目でプレイすれば一応所持はしているようなのでプレイはできます。不評なのは納得しました。ゲーム性はおもしろいのにそれ以外の部分→バランス調整、システム回りetcが残念過ぎる。
開発打ち切りされたゲームが遊んでみたい方はぜひセール時にでも購入しましょう。2時間超えたあたりからバグが目に突き出すのでよほど気に入らない限りは返品をおすすめします。

プレイヤーキャラの一人は可愛いです。そこは結構評価高め。

Note for AMD users, you need to download a fix. Ive been able to fix the UI flickering by using DXVK, importing the d3d11.dll and dxgi.dll into the .exe folder. This is apparently due to AMD drivers breaking this game specifically. So be noted of that if you use an AMD GPU

Ive played and completed this game exactly once, here are my thoughts.
I dont understand the difficulty that people are complaining about, its perfectly fine. You have to think about encounters and use your tools to your advantage. Enemies are powerful and mechs will wipe the floor with you if youre on the ground. When youre in a mech you feel powerful but you still must be thoughtful, youre not invincible. You feel equal to other mechs around you. You must be considerate of battles overall, but if youre not theres a really fun dodgeroll on foot or dash in mechs thats really effective.

The crafting and inventory system is kinda trash, cycling through stuff you wanna use isnt done the best and is stiff. Equipping items and gear takes more clicks than it should. I DO really enjoy the storage system, if you store something in a chest, and come back to that same chest on a different character in a totally different mission, that stuff will still be there.

The characters are beautiful and likeable. Theres lots of info, backstory, and lore on them. Lots of archives you can discover and read about the lore and world. Having said that there feels to be a bit of a disconnect from cutscenes to whats going on in gameplay. They REALLY want you to read and care about those archives you collect. Try and ignore the blatant World Of Tanks sponsorship thats thrown everywhere.

I only really have two gripes. One being that lore is kinda thrown at you and explained after the fact, I think this works and doesnt at the same time. People and names are mentioned as if you already know or should know. But then gets clarified and explained a missions or two later. My other dislike is that for a mech game theres a severe lack of being in a mech. Which is unfortunate because the mechs feel really good. Theres a weight to them, and some really thought out mechanics with weapons and damage. I really wish they focused more on this and reversed the time spent in each. How could they bring in designers from Gundam, Ghost In The Shell, and Armored Core and have such little time actually in the mechs??? Theres a certain feeling from being a squishy pawn on a mech battlefield but the mech combat is just SO GOOD, like honestly. Its what kept me playing, too bad you only get 5 sections of being in a mech out of 14 missions, and only 1 of them is for the entire mission.

Is this game worth $60? No. Is it worth $6? Absolutely.

Я не думав що можна настільки погану гру зробити. Я думавщо це буде шутер від третьої особи з ухилом в стелс і виживання. Я почав грати мени кинули на локацію де багато ворогів вони сильні і явно треба в стелс. Але от нюанс гра не надає можливостей для тихих вбивств. Тобто так тобі кажуть грай стелсом але вбивати тихо в грі просто неможна. Альтернативи немає. Влаштувати штурмові дії невийде бо гра не надає тобі достатньо патронів. Крафтиш ти суто вибухівку і аптечки. ♥♥♥♥ як можна було створити умови для стелсу і не надати можливості грати по стелсу я в душі негрибу. І так в грі є рукопашна зброя, але стандартної кнопки вирубити над ворогом немає і це пезда. Персонажі настільки награні наскільки це можливо(анімації всі теж дуже погані у персонажів). В їх емоції ти невіриш ні хвилини. Вони зробили аж трьох і сюжет це не рятує як і геймплей. Сюжет теж ніпрошо(вони взяли нашу країну географічно і явно події майдану, але знову ж тут вся гра на відвались зроблена). Найцікавіше що це не якась стара гра(як наприклад колапс 2008 де багато чого можна пробачити через дату гри і тодішні можливості ігор) вона ♥♥♥♥ вийшла 2019. Саунтрек не відповідає взагалі тому що відбувається у гравця. Вона однотипна та просто в один момент задовбує. А найголовніше, що весь двіж ставзя, бо в світі створили нову зброю меха-роботів. Але нам дають один раж в ньому покататися(вдруге нам треба не вмерти поки на нас агряться людей 20 і сісти у нього, аби покататися по одній вулиці, і в незручному керувані вбити ще 3-х роботів). Підсумок, я не розумію для кого випускалася така сира і крива гра.

Has it cons, has it pros, but if you don't expect miracles from this game you can enjoy quite nice story and setting with 3 different characters, meaningful (but not great and sometimes a bit unclear) choices and interesting, but uneven playstyle.

If you are looking for a AA class, stealth survival game in alternative near future setting AND you are "immune" to somewhat big amount of WOT posters (belive me, totally ignorable) AND if you get some nice deal for it on sale I can recommend it with clear conscience and encourage you to give this game a chance and there are good chances you won't regret.

難易度カジュアル、5時間半程度でクリア。まさに「やや不評」が正しいという印象です。
以下に問題点を挙げて、それぞれについて説明を加えていきます。

[h2]昨今珍しい操作性の悪さ[/h2]
本作は三人称視点のアクションシューティングを基本としており、キャラクター操作の状態と、人型兵器ヴァンツァーに搭乗した状態の２つが存在します。そのどちらも操作性が悪く、全編通してストレスを感じます。また、操作性の悪さのために発見されたり被弾したりすることが多いのも、プレイ中にこのゲームを続けることの意義を考え直してしまう原因であると感じました。

[h2]内容の薄さを難しさでカバーした結果、低難易度では虚無と化す[/h2]
このゲームの目指したところはおそらく、敵兵がひしめく街中を、限られたアイテムと知恵を駆使して試行錯誤を繰り返しながら突破し、目標地点に到達できた時にカタルシスを得られるというものなんだろうと思います。しかし他の方も書かれている通り、操作性の悪さや敵の強さからくる高難易度でプレイをやめてしまう人が続出しました。

そこで開発は難易度カジュアルを作成し、難易度を大幅に緩和しました。すると今度は、強引に進んで被弾したり敵を拳銃で雑に倒しながら目標地点に飛び込み、ストーリーを見て次の章へ進む、というゲームになってしまいました。もはや達成感などは皆無であり、このゲームが目指した「カタルシスを得る要素」がまるごと消滅してしまいました。

さらに低難易度で明らかとなったのが、内容の薄さです。街中を移動するというゲームなのですが、そのマップも数種類しかなく、前章では東から西へ、次にはその逆、といった具合で使いまわしが多い印象を受けます。また、敵に構わず疾走してしまえば数分で到着してしまう距離であり、このゲームがどういうものかわかってくる後半では、ひたすらに虚無感・作業感の強いゲーム体験でした。

[h2]ストーリーも月並み以下[/h2]
本作のストーリーはほぼムービーシーンで占められており、いかにもスクエニっぽい美形キャラ達が各章ごとに数分の会話を繰り返すというものです。どれもキャラクター達が棒立ちであり、また一つのムービーも大して長くないため、全体として薄っぺらい印象を受けました。

またその内容も、戦場に取り残された主人公たちの群像劇というものでありながら、創作のあふれた昨今においてはどれも「どこかで見た」ようなものばかりであり、独自性や意外性を感じられませんでした。ほぼほぼ会話のみで進むことや、ただでさえ短いストーリーを小出しにされるため、プレイヤーが感情移入しにくく、感動するような場面は皆無でした。

「フロントミッション」と世界を共有する本作ですが、別に他の世界でもやれる内容でした。人型兵器は「ロボットを操作できたほうがゲームとして楽しいから」とか「フロントミッションファンが買ってくれそうだから」という理由で存在しているだけのような印象を受けました。

まとめると、本作は低難易度ではストレスを感じる虚無ゲーという評価です。まだとんでもないバグやバカげたストーリー展開があったほうがネタに出来る分、ある程度ゲームとしてまとまっているだけタチが悪いとも言えます。
まぁラーメン一杯分くらいと思って購入しましたが、疲労感と虚無感を得た分ラーメンの方がよかったと思います。
「〇〇を手掛けた誰々氏が参加」といった謳い文句には気を付けなければいけないという教訓を得られましたし、Steamの評価は的を射ているということがわかりました。

I understand how the difficulty of this game turns people off but if you set it to "Casual" difficulty, it gets a lot easier and you can experience what is a great game in my opinion. I don't think it's worth a full $59.99 anymore (maybe for the first 6 months) but it's definitely worth every bit of it's regular sale price ($5.99).

It's just one of many games that gets a bad rap that's undeserved. Are there things that could use fixing? Definitely. But is it a bad game? Not at all. I think the storyline is actually pretty good and I love the environment it takes place in.

Basically, one nation invades another and you play as three characters caught in the middle of the war zone. It gives a different perspective during wartime, preferring to show it from the civilian's point of view, or the survivor's point of view. You are not only responsible for keeping yourself alive (with very little at your disposal) but you are also tasked with rescuing civilians. You don't have to save them if you don't want to which is cool that they give you the choice. But they can also be killed before you even reach them in some cases.

You also have multiple dialogue options as well when speaking to NPCs which allows for different outcomes though the main storyline won't be majorly affected.

I definitely recommend anyone who enjoys 3rd person action/adventure games especially if you enjoyed the more recent Metal Gear Solid titles.

- Il mini-Gun e il lanciamissili sono divertenti

Svantaggi:

- Pessima grafica, dettagli pessimi.
- Pessimo gameplay, sia azione che stealth.
- storia mediocre.
- il gioco non è chiaro. Manca un tutorial introduttivo.
- Alcuni Dialoghi strani.
- strane morti di NPC nemici, scompaiano all'instante.
- l'AI nemico fa schifo.
- l'AI, Koshka, rompe le palle quando avverte la presenza di nemici vicini, e non è neanche precisa.

- Le esplosioni, fumogeni e molotov come effetti ambientali sono orribili da vedere e poco effettivi.

- Gioco contiene delle scelte da fare nei dialoghi nelle missioni principali e secondarie. Potrebbe starci se non
fosse che, a dipendenza dell'opzione che scegli, ti porterà non solo al successo/fallimento delle missioni
meno importanti ma anche ai diversi finale di questo gioco.Teniamo conto che la storia non è interessante
e fatta di fretta. I personaggi sono noiosi e mediocri. Questa modalità è inutile.

Не рекомендую, російська мова тут на кожному стовбі, навіть в досягненнях Steam. Конфлікт списано з окупації росією українського Донбасу, але списували максимально жахливо, навіть банально смішно дивитися на поліянтку міста Новослави (Республіка Рутенія, що є територією Західної України) в символіці України, але дизайном форми списаного в росіян. Оцей наративчик, що це громадянська війна, бо воюють дві частини колишньої України та жодних третіх сторін (росіян, себто). Та й загалом, виглядає жахливо, ХХІІ століття, а в Україні й досі вічна вічна війна, російська мова, конфлікт Сходу й Заходу. Оптимізація ще й на додачу досі лайнова, але, правду кажучи, місцями, грати можна не переймаючись. Але, серйозно, чи воно вам дійсно потрібно?

Als grosser Fan von Front Mission habe ich mir 2019 für knapp 50 Mäuse die Collectors-Edition zugelegt. Nach ein paar Stunden zocken und einem neuen PC geriet das Produkt schliesslich in Vergessenheit. Per Zufall habe ich es in meiner Steam-Bibliothek wieder entdeckt und gab dem Ganzem nochmals eine Chance. Das Game ist wahrlich keine Augenweide und trotz einer potenten Kiste geriet das Ganze vielmals ins Stottern (besonders während den Zwischensequenzen) und kämpft mit technischen Problemen. Ich verstehe die vielen negativen Rezensionen. Aber, gibt man LEFT ALIVE eine echte Chance, entfaltet es nach ein paar Stunden seine Stärken. Als Mechfan kann man im Sale nicht viel falsch machen!

初めてプレイした時は敵が硬すぎだったり攻撃が痛かったりで難しいと感じましたが
慣れてくると敵が湧くポイントに罠をしかけてポップした瞬間に全滅させたり、ヴァンツァーのタックルで敵を壁に叩きつけてパイルバンカーをぶち込んで沈めたり色々出来て楽しかったです

为了锅岛俊文买的。
当时我还开玩笑说，就算路过个写着装甲核心旧作开发人员名字的粪车我都要尝尝咸淡。
结果这粪车连尝的机会都不给我，开局给我卡得只剩3帧。咱说我这个笔记本电脑的显卡确实不咋地，但也是经过了法环和AC6的考验的，今天SE就给我上了一堂课，告诉我什么才是真正的三帧电竞。真不是我说，商店里显示的最低配置要求是1050。真的，真的不是诈骗吗？
我实在想不通为什么优化这么烂，这画面也就和生化危机2RE一个级别吧？甚至毫不夸张地讲，可以和十多年前的装甲核心V掰掰手腕了。不过人物建模还不错。
本来今天图书馆的座被别人占了就生气，今天晚上随便打开游戏放松一下就给我来个重量级，遂留一个不负责任的差评。但我对机甲题材的容忍度非常非常非常高，也许哪天我把它完整地打完了就会改好评吧，毕竟我是一折入手的。

I'm so glad I purchased this game on another site for $4 and didn't spend $60 on Steam. Completely unplayable on a high end system (7800X3D / 7900XTX). Stutters, frame drops and most maddening, hard lock freezes that force a system reboot.

A Game I would suggest at least trying. I see no reason why this game is in the '' Very Negative '' category.
Sure, the game does feel a bit outdated graphic wise, and has problems (mostly AI)
But its a great mix of games, like playing Metal gear Solid/Resident Evil remakes system and randomly adding Mecha, and who dosnt like Mecha!
+ The game is a 20h+ game if ya want to be a lootgoblin xD And its almost always 90% Discounted!
Did finish the game once and there are still stuff on NG+ , But for me its a chill 7/10 Game.

一坨大便，浪费美术资源。。潜行判定太有问题了。最大问题连个小地图都没，救人质完全看脸随机，痛苦通关中

以上普通难度，换最简单难度后爽感增加终于有时间品味游戏，剧情其实还行，操作蹩脚但容错率增加不会再想摔键盘，救人终于没那么坑了。这游戏普通以上难度别试了，最多混到通关别想着救人了（不过也符合事实，你一个菜鸟飞行员就一个小手枪还想杠敌军成建制的外骨骼兵团确实很现实）

Cannot Recommend this one, UI and menus being busted off of rip on the PC port.

I did end up getting the PS4 port because I did have fun with the game, it's honestly too bad.
I wish it worked for PC properly but yeah the Mostly Negative reviews at this time are well earned.

Um jogo no mundo de Front Mission, onde o foco dessa vez não é nos Wanzers e sim em três proagonistas. Gostei da história, tem gráficos e jogabilidade de gerações passadas, não está bem otimizado no PC. Tem uma boa trilha sonora e recomendo pela história que me prendeu do início ao fim.

Ok so people already talked about the game. Still, there's some masoschists like me or hardcore fans of the Front Mission saga who still want to have a bad time. Well you can't. On my old rig, the game was poorly optimised so I waited for a new one. Now, Win 11 amd Amd graphics seems to bother the game enough to screw UI so you can't even pass the tutorial.
And what was the Square Enix support answer ?
"ThiS gAme iS coMpaTibLe wiTh Win 10 oNly"
Seriously, what the hell. The freakin game is from 2019, still sold 60€ and not compatible ?
I know the game flopped hard. Still, what you say to the few ones who still supported you is "f√ck you, thanks for your money" This is bullcrap and totally unacceptable.

Did I play this game for over 50 hours, playing through the game 4 times and getting all the achievements? Yes.
Do I recommend this game to other people? No. Lol.

Technically, the game is a mess. Huge frame drops when using the sniper rifle, desktop mouse icon will flicker onto the screen whenever you turn, had the game crash on me 6-8 times.
Dialogue choices can be vague and, in one example, I got locked out of later content, despite the NPC giving the same reply, so no indication my choice altered the outcome.
There are about 4 character models for all 30+ of the survivors.
It's very common in the maps for there to be a box, car etc to be near a wall, far enough away so that it look like your character can fit between them, but close enough so the character actually can't move through the gap. Additionally there's ankle high obstacles sometimes that you'd assume you could just walk over, but they act as invisible walls.

World of Tanks adverts are absolutely everywhere to an absurd extent.
They're on the walls, the floors and pickups. The logo is even plastered on your protagonists.
It's very jarring when there's some heavy story stuff going down and there' just a huge WoT advert plastered on the pavement.

What we have here is the bare bones of a great game: Got that stealth action, crafting traps and medical supplies, mech combat, really nice stylised graphics and effects, choices having consequences and interesting and adequately written characters.
If falls short on everything though and the technical issues make the game a real pain at times.

Most people will not have a good time at all with this.
If you're a weirdo like me you might actually enjoy it.
It's basically a janky af Metal Gear wannabe that has it's moments, though the game really falls short with it's bugs and distracting advertisements.

I honestly tried. I wanted to like this, especially having a soft spot for janky games that tried to make it, but never did, damn it. I love Shinkawa's art, I love Front Mission, I love the aesthetics and the general idea behind 'humanizing' the conflict by playing as people instead of wanzers.

However it seems that the game just doesn't want me to engage, to stealth, to plan or just plainly be there. So with a clean conscience I quit, knowing that even if it's part of Front Mission world, the events that take place there just don't matter.
