Amazing job sim retro horror game, my favorite kinda game tbh!
Honestly a really good Indie Horror game that does a great job at blending jump scares and ambient horror. Overall, a short and fun game to play when you don't have too much time on your hands.
The Boba Teashop is a game with a twist that doesn't overstay its welcome to the Simulation genre.

I usually only play games for a few minutes to "test" them before moving on, but this one grabbed me right away. The boba tea order taking and drink making is simple and satisfying, then mix in a few tidbits of horror and I just couldn't stop playing. I ended up finishing the game in one sitting, though it only takes about an hour to play through. I had so much fun with it, that I ended up playing through it again that same day with my son, then once more today to finish the achievements. Had a great time with this one. It is a short and simple game, but quite a fun experience from start to finish. Buy it!
A few hours of fun, just enough to tell an excellent ghost/corruption story. The drinks are pretty, pretty and they're fun to make. And while you're making them, expect to see changes in your shop as the dreadful atmosphere weights on your psyche. The creators did a masterful job with the LIGHTING in this game. It gets just a fraction darker and darker as your shifts drag on until you're finally almost entirely covered in darkness. There's a fun ending too, and the laughing made up for the fear. Really great entry in the "work-sim horror?" genre. Love this, if you're a game collector, it's a nice price and you can hit those cheeves easily if you are trying!

Para lo que dura, puede entretenerte un momento, pero hasta ahí. Después del primer susto que te da, y si tienes la mala suerte que tuve yo de morir, ya no habrá mucho terror otra vez. 7/10.

awesome cosy horror vibes and surprisingly actually scared me, normally jump scares dont get me but i was so into being a cute barista and having a fun time with the customers and making the boba that i was caught off guard by the horror lol

That Feeling When You Choke on Your Boba: The Game
The Developer behind this game also made the terrifying yet somehow cosy 'Kiosk'; which I loved. This game is very similar, a simple premise horror game where you make orders for customers whilst being haunted, with a VHS-like and uncanny artstyle that lends itself incredibly well to the overall experience.
I daresay this was even scarier than Kiosk. I really liked the protagonist too. I just wish it wasn't so short! However for the price, it's awesome. A quick, affordable and scary yet somehow comfy game - there's no reason not to give it a go.
I will continue to support the dev's work, very pleased to learn a third in this 'cosy horror' is on the way - one to watch out for!

This game was pretty much exactly what I expected and that's not a bad thing, when you're buying a horror simulator game you tend to know what you're getting yourself into at least for the most part.
I really liked the atmosphere, the way everything looked was really well done in my opinion, and the story wasn't bad either.
I do wish I could have gotten a little bit more out of this game, but compared to other games of similar genres that I've played, this one has been the best experience I've had so far.
I wouldn't say anyone "needs" this game, but it's definitely a good way to spend an hour of time if you have an hour to kill.
Does enough things well to be worth recommending on sale and in a bundle, but its ending definitely comes out of nowhere logically and the time trial on that main horror section was a good idea but needed to give the player a bit more time or have more counterplay with hiding to reset the timer.
And yes why is the entity haunting us if we chose to be nice to her?
This was a very spooky game that made me both desperately need and hate boba at the same time. Scares were good, length was perfect, and it was overall a fun experience!
Its a small indie horror game so its rarely gonna have deep gameplay but for what it is, vibes are spooky, sound design stressful and the entities make you not want to look at them so it succeeds in being scary. Made me jump quite a few good times.

It doesn't happen, see. Nothing gets me. Family/friends at home or over stream, yes, most of them react, but never me. I mean it not to brag. It's just that I'm decades desensitised and nothing scares me. My better half still loves a good fright. I'm thrilled if Horror doesn't bore me.
Jump scares? Oh, yeah. I'll flit in my chair, hold a breath, even take in an audible gasp at the really good gotchas. They're a short amusement, all assuredly followed by jovial expletives and laughter.
You can't imagine my surprise when a swift and sudden soprano yelp had unwittingly escaped my throat.. (not to spoil) ..upon failing to prepare and serve a boba tea quickly enough... to a customer. (?_?)
Big 'appy polly logies', massive! I'd failed the timing, as well as firstly failed to realise the timing was so serious a matter. Same order, prepared and sealed before opening.
As it is, my fortitude had been cracked - b****-slapped, if you will - by The Boba Teashop.

ehhh its alright, on deal it might be worth it. it takes about 30-60 mins not going for all achievements so not very long at all
it was also really quite repetitive, and i know thats kind of the point but the main little gameplay loop got boring fast
if your looking for a very short horror game, it works well enough
The Boba Teashop manages to earn the title of "cozy" while still being very unsettling, sell tea to the residents of an uncanny valley while things start to fall apart around you. Make orders and keep the store clean while trying to stay sane and keep your business afloat while steeling yourself against jump scares and pushing through the feeling of something being... off.
The game is very short and legitimately scary. Was fun to play a second time to clean up achievements too.
Short, spooky, and fun! It only took 0.8 hours to beat but I had a blast crafting the orders! I love that the art style is so unsettling and uncanny. I only wish it was longer, as I'd gladly serve drinks and get spooked by ghosts all day~! If there's ever a sequel, I'd love to see an expanded menu and more complex, complicated orders! And as someone who's worked in food service and retail, I found the customers almost more horrifying (though relatable) than the ghosts! Honestly, I think I'd rather serve the ghosts!
Looking forward to checking out The Hambagu Shop when it's ready!

Dos jogos de lojinha, esse me pareceu o mais simples que joguei, mas até que dá pra tomar uns sustinhos as vezes. Se o jogo estiver baratinho vale sim, já o Bubble Tea, não sei se vale o hype tanto assim. Geralmente 1 Bubble Tea é 20 conto, ta maluco.

A very enjoyable horror game and a very different type of game. Most horror simulator games almost put too much time into the job and not the ghosts/scary things. This one had a decent mix of both.

[h3]Сюжет[/h3] Это просто tycoon игра. Главная героиня открыла свой магазин боба-чая и тихо едет крышей на фоне потока клиентов.
[h3]Геймплей[/h3] Вы просто делаете чай, стараясь избегать скримеров. Из плюсов- все механические системы работают хорошо. В отличие от множества таких игр – менеджерить стаканчики довольно удобно и приятно.
Прохождение занимает всего час. Все достижения открываются за пару прохождений.

Very simple, psychological horror game. Took around 45 minutes to play through my first run, and the drink making was fun. Recommended

Si te gustan los juegos cortos y de terror, te lo recomiendo comprar.
Joguei The Boba Teashop sem saber exatamente o que esperar, e foi uma experiência bem mais tensa do que eu imaginava. O jogo mistura aquela rotina aparentemente tranquila de trabalhar em uma lojinha de chá com um clima de terror psicológico que vai crescendo aos poucos. E é justamente isso que faz ele funcionar tão bem.
No começo parece só mais um simulador simples: atender clientes, preparar pedidos, fechar a loja. Mas conforme a história avança, o ambiente vai ficando estranho, desconfortável, e você começa a perceber que tem algo errado. O jogo trabalha muito bem a sensação de ansiedade, principalmente pelo clima silencioso e pelas pequenas coisas fora do lugar.
Os gráficos têm um estilo simples, mas combinam muito com a proposta. A iluminação e os sons ajudam bastante a criar tensão. Não é um terror cheio de jumpscares o tempo todo, mas sim aquele medo mais psicológico, que te deixa inquieta(o) enquanto joga.
Não é um jogo longo, mas a experiência é bem marcante. Recomendo pra quem gosta de terror indie com foco em atmosfera e história, e que consegue transformar algo comum em algo perturbador. Me surpreendeu de forma positiva.

Match Gotcha! is what i said 90% of the time while playing this. Great little game, took me about an hour to beat. I loved this, i wish it had more but what's here is worth you time. 10/10 closer to a 11 then a 9, thank you.
Short game (you can beat it in one sitting) but/and very interesting and fun. The tea making mechanic is really satisfying. The storytelling is subtle and simple, but interesting and surprising. Just play it without checking anything first.

It's a cozy little horror games, some of the scares got me and i wasn't expecting the ending to turn out like it did, I do wish it had a mode where you could take on a constant stream of orders similar to Kiosk. The achievements were fun to get too
Scared me, but also felt genuinely creepy. Making the boba was satisfying as well.
As someone who gets motion sickness from video games, I was worried I was going to get nauseated like I did from Kiosk. Thankfully, it was a lot better here.
Very atmospheric little psychological horror sim. Loved the art style and the method of building tension without relying too heavily on jumpscares. Solid hour experience, definitely recommend.

É uma experiência bem curta, que se vale em boa parte do tempo de jump scares, mas que consegue fazer isso muito bem.
Toda a ambientação de terror do jogo é extremamente bem construída e o jogo consegue ser realmente assustador.
Pra um grande fã de terror que as vezes só quer se assustar e não ter que ficar resolvendo uma caralhada de puzzles, esse foi um ótimo jogo.

This one is a pretty fun horror simulator. Honestly, I would have played more of the simulation aspect, I vibe with the mechanics for that, and would play a game just with that. But the horror story was pretty neat too. Very short game though.

❌ Почти нет выбора или альтернативных путей - всё развивается по одному сценарию.
❌ Игровой процесс достаточно прост, и людям, которые любят сложные механики, может показаться плоским.
📜Итог:
Игра затягивает именно благодаря своей неспешной тревожности. Если любишь инди-хорроры с глубокой атмосферой - однозначно стоит попробовать.

This is a short (under 1 hour) game about the horrors of customer service. The mechanics of making the boba tea were actually pretty satisfying.
Saw 8-BitRyan play this and it still gives me a little jump from the scares
It is a good game. Fun to play. A bit short in length with no normal endless mode. Other than achievements not a lot of replay value due to no endless mode like in games like KIOSK. Though with pretty easy achievements and good game play and scares it is still worth it but I would get it on sale.
It's just okay. Not terrible, but not amazing either. The mechanics are fairly simple and easy to follow. You can probably beat the game in 30 minutes to an hour. My playtime is higher cause I did an additional 3 playthroughs because I was trying to get all the achievements and on 2 playthroughs I guess I messed up some of the custom orders and didn't get as much money as I could out of them.
The game has a spooky atmosphere but it's not really scary. I guess towards the end there can be some unsettling moments because the game gradually gets darker and darker as days go by among other things. There is a fail state towards the end of the game, if you find yourself getting it every time [spoiler] stop looking at the spooky girls in the background and turn your eyes away from time to time to regain some... Sanity I guess it would be? [/spoiler]
Oh and if you clean every night but don't get the achievement you may be making my mistake. [spoiler] Putting the stools away is also part of cleanup, not just mopping [/spoiler]. When you have done all there is to be done it will change from "clean up or leave for the day" to just "leave for the day".
Anyway it's worth a playthrough, probably more likely on sale though. It would be cool if an endless mode could be added. I'm interested in seeing what the dev will put out next.

Short but enjoyable! For the price I paid, it was well worth the time. I only wish there was an endless mode with a timer. It's actually kind of fun making the orders, but there isn't much of that before the experience ends.

В ней вам предстоит примерить на себя роль девушки, которая наконец осуществила свою давнюю мечту - открыла магазин с бабл-чаями. Однако стремление к этой мечте стоило ей здоровой психики...
Геймплей прост, но от этого не менее скучный: обслуживаете клиентов, готовите чаи из меню и индивидуальные заказы, зарабатываете деньги (влияет это, конечно, лишь на получение достижений).
Что касается хоррор-составляющей, то всё в принципе довольно хорошо, если не считать пресловутые скримеры. Создать гнетущую атмосферу, особенно во второй половине игры, у автора получилось

The Boba Teashop est un jeu qui m’a fortement rappelé l’univers des jeux de Chilla’s Art.
On y incarne le propriétaire d’un tea shop, dans une ambiance au départ très cozy et rassurante.
Mais rapidement, quelque chose cloche. L’atmosphère devient étrange, avec plusieurs moments de tension et quelques frissons bien placés. Le jeu mise peu sur les jumpscares, et tant mieux : l’horreur repose surtout sur l’ambiance, ce qui fonctionne très bien ici.
On apprécie ce mélange entre phases chill et horreur progressive. L’histoire n’est pas exceptionnelle, mais ce n’est pas vraiment le plus important.
Pour passer une petite soirée agréable et stressante juste ce qu’il faut, le jeu fait parfaitement le travail.
Je recommande sans souci.

La gente que se haya dado una vuelta por mis reseñas (nadie) habrá visto que disfruto mucho los juegos de terror, pero disfruto aún más los juegos cozy de terror y The Boba Teashop es un gran exponente de este género. Es un juego sencillo, pequeño, pero te saca unos sustos que no le piden nada a Resident Evil o Outlast, todo esto sin dejar de lado el hecho de que estás preparando bebidas bien kawaii mientras te surras de miedo. excelente título, aún no lo termino pero ahí voy. si tuviera que quejarme de algo, seria que hay un bug en el juego que elimina tu juego salvado, entonces he tenido que empezar mi juego ya 2 veces desde cero.

The game was really starting to charm me… until I ran into a bug where I was asked to craft an impossible recipe. I spent half an hour trying different combinations before checking the community and realizing it was a known bug.
I quit and relaunched the game, since it’s supposed to save at the end of each turn… but it only lets me start a new game. Such a shame, because as I said, I was really enjoying it.

Really good game. I do have some complaints now that I'm writing a review. It's a bit 'toucan'. There could be a toucan in it. Bit harsh maybe - don't let that put you off. Buy this game and scare yourself - it's worth it...

Dull and not very interesting. I enjoyed the low-poly visual style and some of the drinks (that strawberry matcha milk tea looks scrumptious) but beyond that The Boba Teaship is a shallow experience. The drinks making is fine in a menial way, a bit more variety introduced as the game progresses offers some light nuance. The story is bland, customers while likeable are not fleshed out, and the jumpscares just a bit boring. Within the last few days time based challenges are introduced, with failure resulting in a jump scare - repetition of these sequences is what killed my interest in the game. Alas, perhaps if absent I would have finished it, but nevertheless, I would not recommend The Boba Teashop. There are better horror experienced out there for your buck.
