▪ If I remember correctly I first played this when it was on XBOX Arcade a long time ago. It's a fun, little game which is essentially a puzzle game in a tennis wrapper.

▪ It's a very simple 'mini game' game, much like old shareware or flash titles. You take aim and serve the ball with the goal of hitting every target in the level. It's not an action or reflex challenge. It's more about repetition, finding certain lines and bounce spots to access all the targets with a limited number of shots.
There are many levels, a decent difficulty ramp, and some very solid challenges. Definitely interesting and different as puzzle games go. It is satisfying when you figure a level out, but also, due to the chaotic nature of the mechanics, you can just as easily accidentally complete a level. Which is also - surprisingly - pretty satisfying.

▪ The achievements are all fair. Many progression based, and a handful of meta challenges. Curiously though, there isn't one for 100%ing all the levels.

Tennis in the Face is a simple physics based puzzle game where you try to take out your enemies by aiming and hitting a tennis ball.
It was probably a mobile game before it made it to steam. It is extremely casual and has the same mindset of old mobile games where you get more points by using less tennis balls.
It is fairly short, took me 2 hours to beat but i didn't go for every crown. If you do so, you might get a much longer playtime.
Pretty decent game for what it is but i wouldn't buy it full price.

I played this a long time ago, but I still have fond memories of it. That is pretty rare for me, because usually I only remember the bad parts of games and struggle to remember the fun, so good job. I recommend this game.
I won't compare this to all the 10 tons games I have played, a great collection but I will compare it to the first one I played which is very similar in goals and playstyle - King Oddball. This has little of the charm of that game but its a nice little distraction if you get it on sale. I paid £0.95 for it so I cannot complain, I have had my money's worth. Just don't expect a long and challenging grind.

Fine game, but I'm done 90% of the levels in less than 2.5 hours. Its fairly short and simple - like others have mentioned, it looks like a mobile port.

Tennis in the Face is a simple geometry based puzzle game where you control a tennis player (Pete Pagassi) to hit multiple to knock them out.
The game is set over 8 chapters, each with about 10 levels in, and should not take you more than a few hours to gather all the achievements and get the goal crown from each level (gained by finishing the level with a certain amount of balls/exploding cans left over)
The game is incredibly casual, and is something you would expect to find on an Android/iOS device, but for fans of these types of games, you will still enjoy.
The music can be incredibly grating at times as it is very repetitive and does not change throughout the entire game, and this becomes increasingly a problem if you find yourself stuck on a level. Possibly, this game is something you will want to play with the sound off, or your own music playing instead.
Overall, it's hard not to recommend the game, as although it may overstay it's welcome slightly, and lack variety, it's clear from the off what time of game this is, and the price is charges for it is not egregious, so for what it is, it's perfectly serviceable.

I'm not really into mobile gaming or playing a lot of these games with more casual appeal but Tennis in the Face is a surprisingly good take on the angry birdlike formula. At first impression it seems like a quick crash gab on what's a popular genre on mobile (I assume) but it really stands out on its own merits with its own unique mechanics that I at least haven't experienced in my admittedly limited experience in this genre.
Turns out using other's faces as bouncing pads is a good basis for fun physics puzzle action. So, yeah, GRAB N' SMASH!

Tennis in the Face is a puzzle game that plays similarly to an Angry Birds style game. It isn't a particularly unique or interesting genre, but this game executes it pretty well. consta de varios niveles de creciente complejidad/dificultad donde desde nuestro personaje, golpearemos una pelota de tennis para asi eliminar enemigos y obstaculos de la mejor manera y asi hacer mas puntos y pasar al siguiente nivel. la parte atractiva del juego es que y debemos calcular y medir la trayectoria de la pelota, para hacerla rebotar y tratar de limpiar el escenario de la manera mas eficiente posible, teniendo ademas un numero limitado de pelotas para usar.
es muy sencillo de jugar, solo con una mano en el mouse y con simples clics ya controlaremos el juego en su totalidad, pero este seguramente te exigira reinicar algunos niveles mas de una vez hasta que logres dar con el tiro que buscabas.
esto ultimo puede ser divertido pero tambien puede llegar a ser frustrante, dependiendo del jugador.
el juego entretiene y es divertido para pasar el rato.

Not great, not terrible
Funny. This is a physics/puzzle game with several levels. You need to "shoot" with a tennis ball and take out enemies efficiently. There are obstacles and things to explode. The cartoonish style is nice and the music is fine. The story is dumb but dumb-fun.
No bugs or crashes. Runs fine on Win 7.
Overall, the game is pretty casual. Most levels are not hard and you can aim easily for the perfect score. Good content for the price, took me around 7 hours to finish it. It includes cards and achievements. Once you start it you want to finish it, so that makes it for a positive recommendation.
A fun physics puzzle game. Loved this on mobile, and enjoyed playing through again on Steam. Good challenge and variety. It will keep you entertained for a few hours for a few bucks.
Can you add an option to see or replay games with slow speed, not only when its finish and with screen writed over it. Having fun , btw.

Если у кого мерцает экран в полном режиме, то лучше играть в оконном.
Вроде и нормально выносить с помощью теннисного мяча всяких чудиков, но чисто промахи в дизайне мешают конкретно... Из игры нельзя выйти без клавиатуры... В главном меню вообще нет кликабельной кнопки выхода. Такое ощущение, что тут преимущество за оконным режимом.
В графическом плане довольно простая, яркая. Также игра не переведена на русский. Вроде бы переводить особо нечего, но приятней видеть родной язык. Этого тут нет. Игра занимает меньше сотни мегабайт и физика у мяча занятна. На некоторые моменты безделья вполне подойдёт. Но потом становится скучновато. Меняются здесь только карты, сам процесс не развивается - теннисист также пуляет мяч и по траектории полёта все вышибаются.
Так что так себе игра. Без русского не рекомендую.

Цель - в каждом уровне получить корону. Впрочем, можно и без короны просто вынести супостатов, но так не получится идеальное завершение игры.
Русского перевода тут нет, но есть карточки и якобы управление с контроллера. Ну хоть достижения завезли...

Recommended, but it would be much more challenging and replayable if there was any score-chasing as part of the game. It does have a cute sense of humor (when you hit a cop, donuts explode from them!) which make it easy to like, and the base gameplay - launch tennis balls at your enemies, scoring extra points for headshots - progresses in difficulty as a nice curve. For $4.99 it is perfectly priced for what is on offer.

A game for Angry Birds lovers. It's very similar in every aspect, just much more simplistic. The only thing you need to do is choose an angle and shoot. That's it. The ball will fly at the same speed every single time when you launch it.
I found most levels to be pretty easy. The physics are a bit inconsistent. Music is way to repetitive.
This isn't really my style of game, but I had a decent amount of fun whacking soda and balls at the Man™ for a few hours. The levels are a good mixture of trial and error, precision, and puzzle solving.

Juego terminado con el 100% de los logros en unas dos horas. Muy entretenido. El juego es simple, golpear una pelota con una raqueta de tenis y eliminar a todos los enemigos de la pantalla con los menos golpes posibles. Nuestro personaje se mueve por casillas por una ciudad virtual donde vamos en metro de una zona a otra, en cada zona hay diferentes enemigos, al principio es fácil luego aparecerán enemigos con escudos donde no se les puede golpear por delante y aparecerán diferentes objetos como cajas de dinamita que harán destrozos por el escenario.
Lo tengo que recomendar porque la verdad es que a mi me ha hecho pasar un rato entretenido, y por prácticamente un euro que me ha costado no se puede pedir más.
Tennis in the Face is a fun physics based game where you serve a tennis ball and attempt to hit people / targets to clear the stage. The game is setup similar to Angry Birds where the stages you beat can be re-played until they are perfected. The cartoon graphics are extremely well done and it is great to see a video game puzzler that uses tennis as the theme. The story was very comical and made me laugh many times as you control a disgruntled pro tennis player on a rampage to destroy a mega energy drink company. I had previously owned this game on PS3 and Vita but was happy to pick up a 3rd copy to play on the PC. It is very fun and rewarding being able to serve tennis balls into another person's face. This game is the perfect stress reliever for any tennis enthusiast.

This game is a really addictive time sink in the vein of "Angry Birds" and other physics based projectile games of this genre. It has a really simple control system, and the addiction to this game lies in the challenge of getting that perfect shot off. I enjoy this game a lot for when you need to just play a game and maybe laugh out loud a couple of times.
Well I got a coupon for this game so i bought it not expecting much and never gave it a second thought. Today me and my co-worker had some down time so we started playing to get the cards. Well here it is a few hours later and we've beat the game. Even after we had all the cards we just coulddn't stop playing. I love the physics of this game, the sound effects are funny, and whenever you get a headshot one the last person is so satisfying. 9/10 will play again!

По сути, «Tennis in the Face» - именно то, чем кажется в описании и трейлерах, а именно незатейливая забавная «физическая» головоломка, достаточно разнообразная в плане ставящихся перед вами задач и недостаточно продолжительная, если вам не захочется перепройти всё на «золото». Она обладает приятным визуальным стилем, подобием сюжета и даже нераздражающим звуковым оформлением. Управление также упрощено в угоду веселью: вам даже не нужно выбирать силу удара, нужно просто задавать начальную траекторию и бить туда, куда, как вам кажется, падение мяча принесёт наибольшие разрушения.
Единственная проблема, с которой лично мне не посчастливилось столкнуться – «рэгдолл» и физика в целом в этой игре не всегда действует так, как задумано. Вполне реальна ситуация, когда, по идее, падение одного человечка должно сбить другого рядом, сетуя на «принцип домино», но иногда этого не происходит, а цель плюхается в противоположную сторону. С предметами бывает то же самое. На одном из этапов, где подобный физический приём – единственно-верное прохождение, я застрял, так как лишь с десятой попытки удара по одинаковой траектории всё сработало так, как это задумано. И я не придумываю, поскольку перепробовал каждый возможный способ, но лишь этот давал хоть какой-то результат. Также порой сбитый человечек должен попасть в щель и упасть на что-нибудь снизу, но из-за «рэгдолла» он застревает в проёме, вытянув неудачно ногу. Из-за этого приходится проходить снова и снова.
Однако обозначенная проблема весьма условна. Если вам по душе игры подобного типа, вроде серии «Angry Birds», но с меньшим количеством режимов и условий, можете попробовать «Tennis in the Face». Хотя, как мне показалось, она гораздо больше подходит для игры в очередях, в туалете или поездках с планшета, учитывая её простоту, незамысловатость и оптимальную продолжительность лишь при условии, что вы в неё не засядете.

I picked up this game because I loved the graphics and art style, and I thought the game itself was a funny idea. When playing it however... The first thing that struck me was the annoying fake physics applied to the ball. OK, whatever, the game was still playable and I could overlook it, so I played on and was reasonably entertained til the 7th of 8 worlds or so.
As you progress in the world and the difficulty increases, I noticed the game shifting and relying less and less on "strategy" and more and more on random chance and I was left with merely "try throwing the ball this direction and see what happens". Which is partly brought on by the inconsistent physics applied in the game (falling objects, objects pushing other objects). This "Random Factor" in the physics, as I call it, can be demonstrated by trying the same thing a couple times in a row, and seeing different results. This becomes a bigger problem later on as you start relying on how objects simply fall, or how preset objects explode, etc.

[i]Actual play time was approx 2.7 hrs. The rest of the time was idling for cards and also being interrupted during play and was away from PC with game still running. For someone to complete the game I'd anticipate approx 3.5 hrs or so.[/i]
This game is very casual and possibly ported from phone (android/iOS).
Its a very small game which would last at best around 10 hours of game time, it plays similar to angry birds except you don't throw birds around you hit tennis balls instead, so your challenge is to knock out all the people in the room using the least balls possible and obviously its not so easy and gets harder the further you get through the levels.
Overall there's not a lot to this game, it plays well without any issues, achievements are easy to gain and is just a casual bit of fun to enjoy and possibly best suited to those who like to play games on there phone/tablet etc

A fairly boring puzzle type game where you have to knock over people with bouncing tennis balls using various explosives and angles. It's playable for a while and not that hard to complete, just gets a bit repetitive and not that fun really.

Чтобы пройти в следующий (и получить доступ к новым врагам и механикам игры), необходимо пройти необходимое количество уровней в данной зоне.

While it's simple and quite short, this game is surprisingly fun and well made.
The gameplay is fun and even require some puzzling to get it right, and the music is quite good too.
For the price it's good, but on sale this game is definetly worth it.
7.7/10 - One of the Best and Most Rewarding Angry Birds Clones!
For me this is one of the more interesting Angry Birds clones. Instead of shooting birds at your objectives you are smashing tennis balls in others faces! There are 8 different zones with 16 levels in each; bringing the total to 128 levels! This sounds daunting but I breezed through these in about 2 hours. Tack on another hour to completely 100% the achievements.
You play as Pete Pagassi, an Ex-Tennis Pro who was forced to retire at the top of his game and report to rehab! Time passes and Pete kicks his dirty habit, set to return to the real world only to discover the whole town is now addicted to Explodz! Can you help Pete reach the top again and save the town with tennis balls in the face?
Overall, really fun Angry Birds clone. Better than most. Worth $3-5. 3 hours of content tops.

An 7/10 game where you use your balls to slap the 'badguys' in the face with ball physics. Bounce them, hit them, drop them and rebound them over objects and walls to finish the level with the higest headshots and score possible. This game feels like Angrybirds, with it's near-same objective, but is totally different, while still being mobile to pc port (point and click).

Wirklich ein tolles Physik-Geschicklichkeitsspiel im Stil von Angry Birds. Wirklich sehr lustig animiert mit motivierenden Achievements und sehr vielen Levels. Habe die ersten drei durch und es scheint noch lange kein Ende in Sicht. Die Animation der Gegner beim Treffen durch Tennisball, Getränkedose, Dynamit etc. sind einfach nur total verrückt.
Ich mag solche Spiele einfach und für den Preis von nicht einmal 5€ ist es wirklich in Ordnung.
Ich kann es uneingeschränkt empfehlen.

Many people might remember that we review Tennis in the Face on the ill-fated console, the Ouya, well thankfully it made the jump to PC, and I have to say that plays as well, if not better on this console, thanks in huge part to a the fact that this game has gamepad support. You might be thinking to yourself, why would they not have gamepad support on the PC, you'd be surprised.
Now let's give you a little bit of back story, you are a disgraced tennis all-star who owes all his whoas to an energy drink called eXplodz. It is now your mission in life to use your killer serves to take out all opposition as you take revenge on the company behind eXplodz. You will have to make your way through town taking on the likes of clowns, cops, scientists,hippies, and more.
The object of each level is to try to take out all of the enemies in as few hits as possible. Utilizing the platforms, walls, and enemies you will have to bounce the tennis ball to perfection. If you can do it quickly you will gain a crown for mastery of the level, and of course the more crowns you get the more special pieces you unlock.
Graphically this game looks great. The levels are all clearly laid out, the HUD (Heads Up Display) gives you all the information that you need while not cluttering up the screen. There's also the fact that you get to see the outline of your previous hit's path. Actually to take it a step further even if you reset the level you get to see the previous hit's path, so if you are looking to get that perfect shot on the first hit you can take that approach, which is what I did several times when trying to get that crown.
Here's the deal if you are looking for a fun game with plenty of replayability and you like physics based games, you are going to HAVE to have this game in your collection. There is plenty of game here, and the fact is that this is the type of game you can pick up and put down, and pick up again with very little need to learn the system again. There's also the fact that each level is only one screen so going through one takes almost no time at all, so there's no big time sink, well that is unless you get the itch and try to go through the entire game in one sitting. This game gets a 9.2 out of 10.
