I bought this game purely for the memories of playing it many years ago. At first, it was a great trip down memory lane, but once the initial hype wore off, I realized I was blinded by nostalgia.
The game becomes incredibly repetitive after the first hour. The lack of level variety is a major issue, you’ll find yourself replaying the same stages with almost zero changes far too many times. It’s simply not worth the full price. Wait for a sale if you really want to scratch that childhood itch.

A game from our childhood. A very satisfying and short game, where you can easily waste 5-6 hours having fun, it's absolutely worth it. A good and nostalgic game, apart from the fact that the timed medals are super hard to get in some levels because of the crazy amount of objects that need to be eaten. It's a great game and I recommend it! Yum Yum!

Highly carried by nostalgia. It's much shorter (to 100%) than the last game and doesn't have an endurance mode (though it does have 50 bonus levels instead).
This game is in my opinion 100 times better than the first one, the map in each level is bigger, there are more things to eat and there's less rng involved which makes getting All Gold so much more fun and easier, not to mention it expanded a lot upon the first game and even if you finish the game there's so much content in the bonus levels, absolutely recommend, had a blast

玩法很简单，操控粘胶去吞噬可以吞噬的东西，就类似于大鱼吃小鱼，不过容错比那个高。
小时候在一个名叫“快玩游戏盒”的盗版软件上游玩过，现在有能力买了，就补下票，可惜的是玩的时候感觉没有小时候那么的有趣了，但其依然为一部精彩的作品。

Pretty much just more of the first game, but that's all it needed to be honestly. The different periods of history made for fresh changes of scenery, though. Plus you get the feel of a much larger scale compared to the previous entry.

The first sequel to a beloved childhood classic, Tasty Planet: Back for Seconds is largely a direct improvement compared to the original in most aspects. Coming back to the game after over 10 years I didn’t find it quite as memorable compared to its predecessor but still had a pretty decent time playing it.
The game improves upon its predecessor in multiple ways, most notably being the gameplay, introducing the world scaling feature, where upon reaching a certain size the scale of the world increases, making you smaller in comparison as new and larger objects get revealed and the old ones get smaller or outright shrink away. This feature let the developers get much more creative with the level design, and also allowed you to eat a wider variety of things in each level. Before, they had to achieve this by splitting levels up into many slightly different but overall similar individual levels. This also makes the levels a little bit longer than average compared to the previous game. The levels themselves also largely stick to the same ratio of “normal” “themed” and “gimmick” levels as the original, with maybe a few less puzzle themed ones. Finally, the levels all have their own names now instead of just being [area] 1, 2, 3, and so on…
The time requirements for the levels are also slightly more forgiving compared to the first game, although there are still a significant number of levels which still have unreasonable medal times. Unfortunately, the medals have much more significance now, being a requirement in order to unlock various bonus levels.
I don’t think the game originally had any bonus levels when I first played it, or if it did, I certainly can’t remember any of them. Unfortunately, the bonus levels are just as bad here as in the rest of the series, arguably being worse in the fact that over half of them are just the same levels as the story mode but harder. The other bonus levels either are basic levels that probably should have been included in the main story, or more experimental levels that really show how sadistic the developers can get with this game.
Most bonus levels are locked behind getting a certain amount of gold medals, which considering the games still quite brutal difficulty regarding gold medals makes it more of a chore than anything else. After seeing that most bonus levels were just harder copies of previous levels, I decided it wasn’t worth my time to bother to unlock the last 25% of them.
Another overall improvement comes with the art quality. The animals in particular got a pretty sizable upgrade in comparison to the first game, and generally most objects (that aren’t just reused from the first game) look quite good and fit their respective area. The far future is probably the exception, where a lot of the stuff there is maybe TOO hammed up with the goofiness but overall, there was a reasonable and respectable improvement over the first game.
They also knocked it out of the park with the music once again, finding 4 more perfect or near perfect tracks to add alongside the original 3. All the tracks really help get you in the zone when it comes to devouring the world.
Despite all the improvements, the game isn’t really as memorable as the first, to the point where I had forgotten an entire section of the game. It’s only a little bit longer, if at all, compared to the first game if you don’t count the “endurance” levels of the first. The overall pacing is also a little strange, going through many ancient periods of history before suddenly jumping straight to the future. The game really could have used either a renaissance or modern time period.
Once again, they changed the UI from the original version of this game, which I greatly disagree with. The game itself was much less memorable compared to the first so I only found this out after looking at the wiki online, but the overall change is still akin to replacing a metal part with cheap plastic. Fortunately, as far as I could tell it was just the UI that was changed.
Overall, it was still a decent enough experience, especially to relive the nostalgia of the dinosaur levels. It’s a good game on sale, especially if you are a fan of the series and looking to revisit it again, but I wouldn’t say its particularly worth the increased price. My playthrough took 2.7 hours and you can probably expect a similar time yourself.

Oh boy where do i begin with this review? I will start by saying that this game is better the the first one, and while that is a pretty low bar to jump, id say tasty planet 2 jumps it by a couple rungs. Will i ever play this game again? No absolutely not, while it is better then the first game, it is pretty much an exact copy of the first game, its just done better here. So lets get into the positives. Number one the story has way more focus in this then the first game, still a low bar because i forgot there was a story at times in the first one. Number two the graphics are slightly better then the first game. Number three, the enemies couldn't instant kill you like they could in the first game. Number four, and disclaimer, this could be because i took a 2 week break before finishing this game, but i'd give it like a solid 5/10, it's very mediocre, but at least it wasn't mind numbingly boring as the first one. And now we get into the negatives and there's so many that im not numbering them. So for starters i just want to point out that the controls suck, they sucked in the first game too, but i forgot to mention it. Just the fact that if you try to use the arrows instead of dragging your mouse everywhere, you have a less chance of getting a medal on a level, because its harder to control with the arrows, is BS, i don't know why i can't just use a controller. I feel like a controller woulda made these games more enjoyable. Ok so now about the game, every level is almost exactly the same again, but there's not near as many levels, so its easier to digest. There is only 2 types of enemies, the ones that shoot and the ones at chase, that's just lame tbh, and this is not tasty planet 2 or tasty planet "back for seconds" its tasty planet remastered, and i know iv'e already said it, but this is literally just the first game again, but shorter, and better. But speaking of shorter, the last level in this game was not, 20 minutes, AT LEAST, on one level, when the previous longest level was only like 9 minutes long? BS once again, even tho it might be the best level in the game, it doesn't matter, still way too long. I didn't even bother to play the bonus levels either, i couldn't be bothered to play the same thing again for the 5th time. Im gonna take another break from these games for awhile before i play "Tasty Blue" because that's 2/4 games in the series done, and so far i feel like i shoulda just re-watched them on YouTube and saved my money. since the bundle for all the tasty games was like 30 bucks, i feel like iv'e wasted 15 dollars so far, i hope that train ends at the next one, but im starting to think they will all be bad to mid, do yourself a favor and save your money.

小学的时候堂哥带我玩的，当时觉得好好玩啊！可惜因为家庭原因，已经很久没和堂哥见过面了。
现在看着其实有些地方还蛮无聊的，但看到就会联想到一些很开心的回忆。一直记得恐龙时代的花和日本那边的樱花，吃掉的时候颜色的特别好看。

Игра моего детства! Очень классная музыка, интересные уровни, и даже сюжет неплохой. То, как все развивается постепенно с каждым уровнем нереально круто! Расслабиться на вечерок самое то (если, конечно, вы не планируете пройти все уровни на золото ахаха, вот тогда нужно будет знатно попотеть). Играть вдвоем все же не так классно, ибо не так много предметов, чтобы постепенно развиваться вдвоем. В итоге получается, что кто-то один забирает себе все, а второй бегает крошечный, что не так интересно

You can complete the whole thing in a few hours, And then your $8 is gone. theres like 25 levels of the same thing with a different theme.
This isn't the original computer version of the game. Rather, it's a direct port of the crappy mobile version. If you want to play the original 2010 version, get it off Big Fish Games instead.
